The tamagoyaki had no mirin and the rice had no vinegar. The chirashi don was not chirashi, but a sashimi plate on top of rice. I was genuinely pretty dissapointed by the meal. Only order their non-authentic dishes, youll have a better time with the more north american style food.

Scum floating in the water. Delivered the wrong dish to our table initially. Frozen spinach in the gomae. Imitation crab all over the vegetarian rolls in the vegetarian bento. When we told staff, they claimed that imitation crab is only made of flour. Poor quality maki rolls, fell apart immediately. Vegetarian options: Vegetarians stay away.

We were greeted by a friendly smile, but after that, things went downhill, the dishes that were placed upon our table were dirty and there were floating particles in the water. We informed the server but there was no action done or an apology.

We were just happen to be in Sherwood Park area and decided to give this place a try for lunch. However, we were all disappointed in the food quality. Staffs talk loudly in Cantonese. Food took a long time to come out. Sashimi was still frozen. The rice was hard and probably overnight rice. Will not be back and will not recommend to anyone. Im baffled how this place get so many high reviews.

Ordered food on skip, I ordered the agedashi tofu and bento box that comes with avocado roll and Cali roll. The tofu was warm but the batter was soggy rather than crispy. The bento, I couldn t even swallow a bite. Definitely won t order again, and definitely will get my money back from skip.

Portions here are pretty decent. Recommend the New Age Roll, Unagi roll, and rainbow roll. Id stay away from the agedashi tofu, as it came out soggy and oil used to fry the tofu seemed old. Surprisingly the tempura was really good!

Small and cozy Japanese place with many options on their menu. I went because I was craving Ramen and didnt know where to go since Im new in town. The Ramen was good coming from a non-asian perspective! Seemed like most people went for the sushi and Maki rolls.

Confirmed order on Doordash, didnt update the order or cancel it if you cannot fulfill it. Dasher has to wait and cancel it and I has to wait 1.5hrs until the restaurant closed to contact the customer service from doordash to cancel my order.

Our visit to Yoshi was on a Wednesday around Noon. We were seated promptly and the server was friendly. The food took extremely long as they prioritized skip and take out orders rather than the tables seated. The tempura udon was extremely underwhelming and disappointing. The noodles tasted like Mr. Noodle prepackaged udon and the tempura was super greasy. The roll was decent. The beef bento only came with 4 pieces of sashimi and 2 pieces of California. 3 dishes costed almost $55. Overall a very disappointing lunch.

The sushi here is amazing !! But most importantly, the people who work here have a heart of gold and truly care about your experience with them. They will go above and beyond to make sure you re satisfied. Last night I ordered the large salmon and tuna sashimi and when I picked it up and got home I noticed some parts were frozen. I immediately called them to complain but I didn t understand that they were explaining to me that their take out orders are like that. They wanted it to be fresh/cold by the time I got home so it came that way. I only had to wait 10 minutes for it to thaw more. They wanted to make it right so they actually had someone come to my house and bring me a new one! I called before she arrived to say that it was good to eat and it was great. I apologized (I was hangry) but before they could cancel, the lady was just about here. I told her it was ok and I didn t need the new one. I honestly feel terrible and I wanted to apologize! You guys are amazing and thank you so much for going that extra mile.

Took my two children here as my oldest has always wanted to try real ramen. They both loved it. My youngest could not stop talking about how much he loved it. The lady serving us even complimented his use of chop sticks (his first time) which just made him beam with confidence the entire visit. The ramen was great, the oldest cant wait to visit again.

ngl i kinda expected more. all my friends talked it up a lot, and it was very passable. The assorted tempura was definitely fire, though their dragon eyes maki is barely better than Tokyo Express. i dont recommend bringing a party larger than six.

Tempura wasnt half bad. Sashimi was still half frozen. Beef on the hot plate was clumped together which tasted more like chinese soy sauce than Japanese teriyaki sauce. As for service, there wasnt soy sauce for the sashimi.

Some of the freshest food we have had in a long time! Everything was made upon order, the ramen dissolved in our mouths, beef tataki was tender and perfectly marinated and the rice was perfectly cooked for the maki. Will definitely make time to come eat here again.

Amazing food! Very reasonable prices! The wait times are sometimes long if its a little busier than usual but only because everyone is so excited to get their food. Its a pretty small restaurant and can get quite crammed in busy times, but worth it. This little restaurant may go unnoticed but once youve been there youll def keep coming back and recommending!

Its a very reasonably priced Japanese restaurant. The food is better (delicious actually) than the price would indicate. Service was fast and friendly. There was one problem, but the waitress brought it to our attention and said were fixing it now. We also had a nice conversation with the owner. If we come back to Edmonton, well definitely be dining here again.

I went when it wasnt very busy, got the shrimp boat and some small things to share with the table such as shrimp tempura and gyoza. It was overall really good and the server was nice. I got the deep fried icecream, the crust had a strange flavour and while I wouldnt get it again it was a nice experience Parking: Its just the space out front to park and is shared with many other stores, but they werent busy so we had no trouble finding space

Its a nice Atmosphere and Staff was friendly. Tried mango Tango and the Maki lunch special (Spicy tuna, dynamite, avocado maki) The sushi was pretty flavorless and Bland. The tempura in the dynamite was more soft then crunchy. Would not recommend the Maki sushi.

Great sushi. Good size portions for the price ( which is high, what isnt high these days?). The only downside was the interior is dark, and slightly odd smell in the place. Maybe get take out next time?

Good Sushi! Had a bunch of different type of Sushi Rolls and it was fantastic. Would absolutely recommend. Service was great as well.

Its a tiny cute Sushi spot in Sherwood Park. They have a decent assortment of sushi and sashimi. My personal favourites being the Mango Roll and the Rainbow Roll. I like that there is the option to try a variety of individual sashimi. If youre feeling adventurous. I find that the ingredients arent always the freshest, however it wont make you ill. Dont let this scare you off either I acknowledge I might just be picky. I only mentioned it so that if you try something, and dont like it, that may be the reason. The staff have always been kind and try to accommodate as best as they can. They are very friendly. It can get a bit chilly in the winter months inside whenever the door opens, so bring a sweater. Parking: Its a bit awkward but decent amount of spots Kid-friendliness: Weve brought our kids in and its been perfectly fine. Wheelchair accessibility: Its not super accessible but with a bit of assistance you could get in with a wheelchair.

Lets start by saying that if I could give Yoshi more than 5 stars I would. Food: Absolutely outstanding. Honestly. I find their sushi to be the most fresh of any of the places in Sherwood Park. You cant go wrong with anything off of this menu. I have now tried almost everything, and I absolutely have my favorites, but those can change with the mood. The portions are perfect, price is incredible, and I will continue to recommend this place as much as I can. Service: Outstanding. I have never been treated poorly here. Always very nice, and attentive to the needs of us at the table. Small or group, we have never had anything but WOW to say about service. Atmosphere: Perfect. Simple, quiet, small. It is exactly what you want where you can go in and just enjoy your food. I love this place and cannot recommend it enough. Thank you!

Amazing tuna sashimi! And the tempura is so light it defies description. Its our favorite Japanese restaurant... And for those that dont fancy typical Japanese sushi their udon noodle dishes are superior too. This was a special wedding anniversary so we spent more to celebrate the occasion but you can have a remarkable dinner for much less

Didnt take the greatest of pictures before we dug in, but WOW. Always fast, delicious and FRESH. The staff are amazing, so friendly and sweet to my kids. I love this place! I called ahead as my son was at basketball practice and they happily accommodated!

We love Yoshi! The food is amazing, affordable, great selection and they are so amazing about allergies. My daughter is celiac and has never had an issue with their food. Yoshi is our go to place to eat out or do take out in Sherwood Park. Sometimes if I don t want to do lunches I just get chicken fried rice bc one order makes lunch for three people.

Really good sushi in Sherwood Park, the restaurant sometimes has Uni so make sure to ask for specials. I recommend the quail egg on top of the salmon belly nigiri

Went for dinner on a Thursday night and it wasnt very busy (2 or 3 tables total), but the service was so slow! They were clearly busy with take-out orders and prioritized them over the dine-in customers. Luckily the food was fresh and tasty, but we were annoyed by the long wait for our food. It also seems on the pricier side ($140 for 2 people, no drinks). The picture shows all of the food we ordered except an order of tempura shrimp and crunchy scallops.

Some of the best sushi I have ever had

I like this place but they do weird things like combine meat dishes and vegetarian dishes in the same container. I talked to them about it but they say I have to let them know. So if this sort of thing matters to you, know that you have to ask for your dishes to be packaged separately.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Easily the worst sushi I ve had. We waited over 2 hours for our food and it was ice cold. The sashimi was frozen in the middle, the tempura batter was soggy and way under cooked. So beyond disappointed. Will never recommend or go back.

So last time I found it wasnt as fresh as it could be this time we couldnt even get service. We left after 20 minutes without even being asked if we wanted some tea or else to drink.

I don t tend to leave bad reviews but we had a terrible experience. It was pretty busy so food took longer to come out which was understandable. But the food quality was very poor. The raw fish was still frozen. We ordered a beef ramen and the beef tasted off, we tried to tell the server who denied it being wrong. The person who had a bite of the ramen ended up getting sick from it. They forgot to put in our other sushi orders, so we waited around for nothing. Definitely will not be coming back.

Overpriced. Rolls fall apart when you pick them up. Portions are too small. Just very disappointed. Taste overall is good but we won t be ordering again. And the beef tataki is terrible.

stopped in here for my first time for some dinner, my partner and his family have been coming to this spot for years! the service was great! But oh wow this has to be my new favourite sushi spot! Personally i don t like rolls. We got oysters, a large selection of sashimi, and a huge plate of nigiri and maki. the cuts of salmon sashimi were huge and packed with so much flavour.

First time going here.(Friday around 1pm) Staff were friendly and quick, even with only one server! They had a few tables already seated, but we didnt have to wait long. Food came out relatively quickly and was a pleasant surprise. Miso soup was just ok. Nothing too special. The Tempura had the hard tails removed from the shrimp. I always find that places that do this are more attentive to quality control. Takoyaki was smooth and not rubbery. The usual Takoyaki around Edmonton area I find are usually too rubbery. However definately not as full. The sauce was also not as sweet as some other places Ive tried. Which is both good and bad depending on the person. We also ordered oysters. They were very small, but tasted of a nice solid sea flavour. They were 3.25 a piece. We also ordered a special plate with chefs choice. These were very nice overall. They had a really nice texture and bounce. Meat on the squid and salmon were smooth and soft. The Mackrel had a nice sweetness too it. Surf clam sushi had a nice bite back. Octopus was not rubbery. Shrimp felt fresher then most places Ive eaten at. The sushi rice was very neatly formed and had great shape. However, it felt under seasoned. Washrooms were ok as well. Just small. Would come back. Parking: Small parking lot Wheelchair accessibility: Door way is a little tight, but smaller wheelchairs should fit.

We have been to Yoshi multiple times to dine in and take out. It is the best sushi spot in Sherwood Park. Locally run, the staff are always friendly and accommodating. The sushi is extremely flavorful and the sashimi is very fresh. We have never had a bad experience, and will continue to come back to Yoshi!

Wonderful restaurant in a non-descript little strip mall. We were craving ramen and decided to check out this restaurant based on the reviews we read. It did not disappoint. The service was really friendly and down to earth. The atmosphere inside was calm and peaceful, so it was easy to enjoy our meal and easy to talk and hear each other and the server. There were great options for both sushi and and ramen and other sections of the menu looked intriguing. Will definitely return.

Came here because of the high rated reviews. The food took an extremely long time to come out, approx 2 hrs from time of ordering to get 3 appetizers and 2 rolls. Seemed like they prioritized take out orders over dine in orders. The powdered bubble tea didnt taste like the flavor it advertised. Then at the END of the meal we were told we could only pay via e-transfer or cash. Very disappointed. Will not be returning.

Food is always fabulous.. but they are drowning in skip orders and the food comes over incredibly slow. The poor girl was run off her feet. Please consider adding a second server. I love your restaurant but it s very frustrating waiting so long for a single roll .. over a hour .
