By far the best chicken shawarma Ive had in the edmonton area. Will hopefully be back repeatedly.

Been going here for 3 years now and consistently have been getting great service, quality donairs and poutines. Once I was given a free shawarma meal because they were concerned I wasn t opening my horizons and always ordered a donair. I suggest trying the pickles if that s your thing. Virk has his wrap game on point and my wife has barely made a dent in the poutine and she s tapped out. Thanks again!

I decided to try this place based on the great reviews, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. I ordered a chicken shawarma, and it was overly greasy. By the time I got back after a short 10-minute drive, the pita had turned to mush, and I had to eat the chicken with a fork. The service was also quite slow, especially considering it was lunchtime. Overall, it didnt live up to the expectations and I wouldnt recommend this place to anybody.

Usually have a great experience here. Last week came in for a jumbo donair and with cheese. The donair was much smaller than usual (I think it was closer to a regular donair but I paid for jumbo), the meat was kind of cold in spots, and the lady behind the counter was not very friendly.

0/10 would not recommend. The donair meat was cold, and when we informed the staff they said it was not.... The Kebabs are well if you like over cooked and dry meat, its perfect for you We are the only ones in the joint and the fact that the food was this bad. Yeah Basha and Primetime are way better spend your money there instead. I suppose the 4.8 rating is because they dont have any competition around, or just the quality has gone since.

This is my 2nd time to this place. First time I was here, the food was good. Today I bought mixed shawarma platter as my son requested for it. The chicken was over cooked to the point where is was almost transparent and inedible. Difficult to chew and enjoy. Had to throw the platter away as my kids couldnt enjoy at all. Not returning to this place again.

Love the food and atmosphere

I don t normally post bad reviews, and previously this has been a great place to eat, but the past 2 times have been awful. Poor customer service, having to ask multiple times for the workers to still not get the order right. Small portions, but when it s nothing like what you had ordered you won t want to eat it anyways.

I think they had change of ownership. It used to be my favourite spot and now it tastes nothing like it used to and there are always problem with the order.

Solid Shawarma family run hole in the wall Shawarma place. I had the chicken Shawarma and it was delicious. The toppings were all very fresh and you could taste it. The garlic sauce had good punch and the hot sauce was flavourful with being too hot. There was a wider variety of toppings than I was used to. I came here to have the mixed shawarma which Ive only had once before at dedos food truck which was absolutely delicious. I brought my boyfriend who had never tried shawarma and I had totally pumped him up about how amazing it was. It was absolutely disgusting, the entire dish tasted like salt. For 2 dishes it was almost $50 and we couldnt even eat it. I will not be returning.

Sub par donair that I some how waited over 20minutes for. Overpriced for the portions and the staff seemed inconvenienced when i walked in. Id give it 0 stars if that was a option

Great and legit shawarma. Garlic potatoes are immaculate and tantalizing. Ive had the northside spots, even the infamous Jerusalem Shawarma, but this restaurant serves a quality plate of Shawarma.

We often get our shawarma from this location, but the last two times it was a great disappointment with the quality of the food being prepared!! The quality was not good and it didn t taste like how it was prepared few months ago! Seems like it s under the new management now and it s really not worth spending there anymore !! I didnt have to tell them to add a little bit more sweet sauce they were already adding a squirt. This place was a highlight of my day I hope they do well enough to get a bigger place and better signage

I have visited the Shawarma House three times for dinner and enjoyed my visit every time. Have tried chicken kebab and chicken Shawarma platters along with their side dishes. The food was fresh and best tasting I have had anywhere. The staff were personable and friendly and provided an excellent service. I recommend this place to anyone looking for good food and a great food experience. Thank you very much.

Be Aware! This place is NOT halal. There is no halal sign anywhere and upon asking, they said they dont have halal certificate.

This was one of the best places to get lebanese food. Not sure if theyre new owners but, dressing for house salad had barely to no dressing, 1 pc of cooked pita. My husband is Lebanese and he mentioned that it doesnt taste the same. Cheaping out on ingredients, either missing some or using cheaper ingredients. Eg, sugar instead of condensed milk. The staff when they first opened were incredibly nice. Great tontalk to. The new ones, not so much. Portions are still large portions. Just noticed that the house salad is Greek apparently. Usually there is a house salad and it has pomegranate dressing.

The best Donairs in Sherwood park and Edmonton hands down . Always cooked perfect and the sauce on them are off the charts. Staff very friendly and go out of there way to make sure your happy with your meal. Been going here a couple years on a regular bases with my lady and will continue to go . There prices very reasonable Donairs my favourite . I have yet to eat a full size donair there only make it thru half . I always get rest To go. 5 stars

Recently visited for the first time! The jumbo shawarma was in fact jumbo and had enough left over for another meal for myself. Will stick to a regular for future visits. Loved all the freshly prepared ingredients. Would recommend to any shawarma lover!

I ordered from here. As soon as I opened my chicken shawarma, it turned to salad. Had to put it into a bowl to eat it. Never had this happened with a ordered shawarma before. Disappointing

The donair was humongous, tasty, and they gave us a taste before we ordered it. We also order a mixed Kabab plates, the potato is mixed with herbs flavors, tastes very good. Good size and good value! We will definitely come back again ! However the pickle side dishes is a bit salty and vinegary, if less salty would be perfect. The balavar is the best in town I would say , it is a bite size with not overly sugary with patsio on top very cute.

10/10 for BHAVNA a service and friendliness. She made sure the food was not mixed up. The chicken shawarma rice platter is good as always. I ve been coming here for the last 5 years. This place is the best for shawarma lovers. The owner Zohaib is such a gentleman. Keep it up

We cannot rave about this place enough! Our finance guy at our car dealership recommended it claiming it s just as good as home so we went to try it. We ve been back almost every week. We get the house special. Had never had shawarma before but now I can t stop. It s such amazing value for price, and amazing flavours. The owner even brought us out some dates as a treat one day! Please please try this place! We recommend to everyone.

We have been coming to this restaurant for years now. We loved this place. For the last 6 months to a year now this place has been horrible. We always order the cheese donairs. Lately they have been dry (hardly any sauce) cold and full of onions, few tomatoes. The meat has been really dry too. Im not sure if there is a change of owners or poor training but something has drastically changed. We order on weekends so maybe staff is new. I really wouldnt recommend this place anymore. Very disappointed as this was our weekend go to place.

Decided to try something different today. We are glad we did. We ordered super donairs and man they were super big. Very delicious. Glad we didn t order fries we could hardly finish them. Definitely we will be back glad we gave it a try. From what I seen the dishes are all big. So be ready for more than you can eat.

The falafel was excellent & so was the tabouli salad. Bhavya was nice when he took my order. The restaurant was clean & service was topnotch. I look forward to future visits.

This is usually our favorite donair spot. Tonight there were young people behind the counter who didnt take our order correctly. We asked for light onion and tzsaziki on the first donair. The donair was loaded with onion, no veg to speak of and no tzatziki. The second donair again was loaded with way too much onion and very little sweet sauce. Super disappointing.

The portion size is used to contribute to the value. No jumbo donors. The jumbo I ordered was the size of what the regular donair used to be.

New ownership? Portion size and quality has gone way down. Less friendly / talkative staff too.

This is the best shawarma I ve ever had! Even the wrap was warm and delicious.

Donair and Shawarma House has been excellent since they opened. Same thing goes for now, quality and repeatability of their food has been spot on. We have never been disappointed once, ordering many times always right in the restaurant for takeout. Want your salad on the side, no problem. Extra sauce, no problem. Extra pickles or peppers, no problem. One time my son and I went in to order and they gave us free shawarma while we waited. I once saw them give a guy a full handful of peppers because he asked for them. If you like middle eastern food like I do, this is the place to go. Feb 5th, 2024. Has this restaurant changed owners? Chicken shawarma and kebabs today are dried right out. The potatoes on the side, same thing. Drastic reduction in the food quality overall.

Food and service was amazing

My first experience with this place was pleasant. the food looked fresh, the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. They slice the meat off the skewer and then fry it which in my opinion is the best way to do it. We got home and our orders were correct, how ever Im not sure if my tastebuds were off but my Donair had a hint of stale taste or perhaps the cooking oil overpowered the spices in the meat. Either way will be trying this place again just to confirm it was a one off taste. For two Donairs, fries and three drinks our meal came to less than 30 dollars so its work a try either way.

Used the business for a catering order for an important meeting with clients last week. The order was promised to be completed and ready for pick up at 11am, Feb 7th. I placed the order in person and prepaid for it Feb 6th. I repeatedly confirmed with the gentleman behind the counter it needed to be ready for 11am pickup. it was not ready until 1130am, it made myself and colleagues late for the meeting, late setting up and embarrassed us in front of an important client. entirely unacceptable and embarrassing. We will not be using this restaurant for future catering oppurtunies

Shawarma didn t taste anything like shawarma and the wrap is hard to eat poorly wrapped.

Well placed my order to go got home the order was missing my salad dressing and when you have a salad with out dressing I might as well have made my food at home. So I called in to get this fixed and I kept getting called maam even after I corrected her and told her I was a sir and told her my name she kept calling me maam that is very rude. This place used to be so good and now it had gone down hill would not recommend

Delicious Food and Great service

Absolutely horrible service. We orders online and it said it would be ready in 40 minutes and when we got there in 40 minutes time we waited another 40 minutes and still didn t have our food. Haven t even tried the food before this review but I know for damn sure it s not worth sitting in a restaurant waiting for an hour to pay $20 for a donair when I could just go somewhere with half decent service

Ordered online. Showed up 5 minutes early. Food was ready. Ordered donsir cheese no onions it had onions and no cheese hardly any sauce. My daughter had a falafel it had a bunch or pickeled stuff on it. Everything was pink because of it. Neither were hot. We tried a new place that was a mistake. Not to mention the dish of fries on the counter that looked like someone was eating. Wont be back. Will go to famous donair down the street.

Price has gone up for their chicken and shawarma house, unfortunately taste was a little off for me today and my fries were a little soggy. I also found a small piece of chicken bone in my shawarma house wrap. I might give it a try one more time, maybe this was just a one off.

I dont buy donairs at many other places because these folks have absolutely spoiled me for others! Their portion sizes are great and the flavor is top notch! I always recommend this place to anyone I know when I hear theyre passing through town. The only other place ai really like is in Trenton Ontario.

We got the chicken shawarma platter, and a mixed platter. The beef was chewy so we weren t fans of it, but the chicken was cooked perfectly, the rice + garlic sauce + the Tabbouleh salad were all delicious! The potatoes were a bit soggy and the house salad + hummus weren t very flavourful, but we would definitely eat here again!

Once upon a time, this place was a shawarma paradise, but now, its like theyve hired a magician who made the flavors and deliciousness inexplicably disappear. Its a bit like biting into a sandwich filled with lost expectations.

Service is friendly, menu is as expected for a shawarma house. Portions are a good size, and their pickles are especially good. Falafel is tasty and not at all dry. Prices are par compared to similar restaurants. They did forget to include pita bread our last two takeaway orders but well keep going back anyway for the food. Its that good.

Loved the Shawarma platter and the wrap. The owners Waleed and Zohaib offered free sweet (Baklava) which was such a nice gesture. Would totally recommend to all the Shawarma lovers as the quality and quantity is unbeatable.

I have for awhile been getting mix donairs(chicken and beef) with both sweet sauce and garlic. This donair is definite try. Its a good donair great value and at the end after finishing i didnt feel heavy or bloated like a lot of donairs ive had. By far the nicest interior donair shop ive been to as well which makes it pleasant they keep it clean and maintained which to makes it show care.

I use to love the food here, but sadly there under new ownership. An the quality is going down hill. I called to inform the manager of my experience but no apology or offer to remake the food. The chicken shwarma was so dry like rocks. The guy making it stopped to make a donair in the middle of the order so the chicken was extremely dry an tough. I didnt realize till I was home. He also was gross, his stomach was hanging out of his shirt, an his butt crack. Gross!!! Not something you want to see when your picking up food, all around bad experience. I tried to cancel my order an get my food back because they didnt have the salad I wanted. Which I cant have the others because of allergies. So I was a inconvenience because they had to make more cabbage salad. With the old management they were super friendly, accomidating an if they made something wrong they fixed it rite away. So save your money an go somwhere else

Nice employees, clean, VERY large portions... to the point i couldnt finish half of their jumbo donair... but i also kind of contribute that to the foul taste the meat had. It tasted purely like oil/grease.. unlike any donair ive ever had.

Tried this place for the first time today after a coworker recommended it. Fair to say this was the worst chicken shawarma I ever had. It was dry, full of grease and cold. They also got our donair order wrong and when we corrected them while they were making it, the owner says no changes it s already made . We asked for fries in the wrap vs in the container and apparently this was a heavy task. As we left my coworker apologized for the poor service and food and mentioned this place is apparently under new ownership as he didn t recognize the new staff.

Wow.... I enjoyed the good food after long time... very delicious. I tried everything, and taste was top of the range. Reminded me authentic lebanese taste. Services were super fast, meat was real tender, onion n falafel were real crunchy. Thanks for serving. Keep up the good work

I came here because of the reviews with my spouse. I cannot in good faith recommend this place. I got the chicken shwarma. It was ok enough nothing good or bad. My spouse got the beef shawarma. I am not one to waste so I let her finish my chicken and I choked down the beef. It was rubbery, the meat was gray, and it left us both feeling Ill for hours after. The bathroom was filthy with huge hairs in the sink for whatever reason, and in the middle of the floor was a watering can like one for your plants . Just sitting on the floor. There was no leak in the ceiling so I I just have no clue. The portions for the price are good which is why I didn t keep my rating at a 1/5. Maybe they had an off day, maybe the cow wasn t worshipped properly, or maybe there s just tons of fake reviews for this place but either way for $33, I was sorely disappointed.

Waited forever for order to be put together. Asked for all salad items, got loads of onion a bit of of lettuce and the bottom and top of a tomato. Meat was cold. To top it off got the worst case of diarrhea. Won t be going back here.

Came at 2pm when they should be open, doors are locked even though employees were inside. Very disappointed

High quality food at a fair price. Super clean. The boss man and staff are super personable. The platter portions easily stretch to two meals (unless you re an incredibly robust eater). Had these guys cater our office Xmas party for the second year in a row. They knocked it out of the park once again!

I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap which was amazing so tempting one more thing is staff specially a lady i think her name is bhawna she is so polite and treating customers with beautiful smile i really enjoy to visit there.
