Our time tonight at Bodega was excellent. The staff and kitchen was extremely conscious of the allergies that our party had and was very thorough in there review of the food. The wines and food was excellent but tonight the service was what really shined through.
What a fantastic experience we had tonight! The staff are so kind and everyone had big smiles and seemed to very much enjoy their jobs . Our server Kate !! I cannot put into words how much we enjoyed having her serve us tonight. She was just a complete gem 💎 my girlfriend and I are hospitality industry veterans , and Kate blew us away . We will absolutely be returning to see her again ! Just such a joy to be around , right down to her thoughtful note at the end of our visit ❤️
Beautiful place with great service and good food options. The only disappointing plate was the paella, if you are expecting traditional paella with socarrat you might be disappointed. The tapas are good size and tasty.
Absolutely everything was fantastic! We had the 8 for 88, which is 8 tapas and a bottle of wine for $88. I can't recommend this selection more! The dishes were divided into 2 courses and everything tasted incredible. It was so good, we didn't take pictures! We were really hungry and ate everything, otherwise there would have been leftovers; excellent portions. My favourites were the bacon wrapped dates and the steak. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back.
Hard to narrow down the choices, but everything is delicious. Great for sharing. Plenty of vegetarian selections. Local food offered as well. Love the decor as well
I don’t even know where to start. I love appys to begin with so going here was so amazing cause every meal you can share with your partner. The food was amazing! All of it was so good. Plus the drinks were fantastic. I’m definitely coming back to this place and recommend this place to all my friends and family. 10/10
I went in by myself fully expecting to be leaving after one thing because I have issues eating alone in public. The waitress I had was so kind, knowledgeable, and friendly that I started ordering things. Her recommendations were amazing, and by the end of the night I had 4 different waitresses stop in at varying times to see if I needed anything. I was there for almost 2 hours starting at 4:15 on a Saturday and not once did I feel rushed or anything. Such an amazing experience! Will for sure be returning. I also ordered the oyseter mushroom calamari, the duck mouse, and bread assortment. I have so many left overs but it was so worth it! There was nothing that I didn't like. However, I did order the strawberry blonde cake and it was very sweet, so maybe with a coffee or something. AMAZING!!
Went here for dinner. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend the chicken skewers and the egg plant curry. Everything was fresh and tasted really good. The croquettes and the salted cod fritters were good as well. The empanadas was alright but would be one item that I did not have to have. The service was about a 4 out of 5 rating. The server was good and made value-added recommendations for what to eat but the time it took for the server to attend to us was a bit long. Overall still landed at 5/5. I will come back for the food.
We sat at the bar and enjoyed our seating, but service could of been better. That being said the majority of the food was delicious - with some plates that just need improvement. Excellent for date night or those foodies out there. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options! Dietary restrictions: Im unsure if the kitchen maintains a gluten free area but there are lots of items of the menu which would be dietary considerate. Kid-friendliness: Not for kids in my opinion - the atmosphere and food isnt made for them.
A great local place to go to to have awesome food. Update... Nothing has changed, still an awesome place.
Food is always excellent
We celebrated our 15 year anniversary tonight at Bodega (2nd time visiting this location) and once again we were blown away by the service, food and atmosphere. We had the pleasure of having the same server as our first visit, Sarah, who did not disappoint! She was attentive, knowledgeable and so genuine in her interaction with us as well as other tables around us. 10/10 would recommend, we will definitely be back!
The restaurant and food were everything I wanted it to be. Kate, our waitress and everyone else who came by the table were friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the food and wine and gave some great suggestions. Kate even left us a really nice note when she brought tthe bill. I will definitely be going back often. Dietary restrictions: They made a point of asking about any allergies or restrictions.
Fantastic place. Everything was great. Food/drinks, service and atmosphere. Loved the tapas style so we could share the deliciousness!! Vegetarian options: Mushrooms were outstanding
Always delicious, great atmosphere!
Went for the Thursday 8 for 88 deal with a friend, came from out of province and had never been before. Was excellent!! Loved every bite, unique flavours and SO delicious! Service was also excellent! Couldn t recommend more!
Delicious food that one can fill up on very quickly.
Great service. Enjoyed the Monday deal - buy a bottle of wine and get 3 chef chosen appetizers.
Awesome food and service at my Wife and Is favorite restaurant.
Food and service was great.
Enjoyed a fabulous evening at Bodega . Sherwood Park. We got a table in the bar which was perfect for us. We had charcuterie to start and then my husband also had the Mahi Mahi with prawns and lobster stock risotto, which you can see was delicious. The evening was highlighted by our server Kate, who despite being busy, alway had a smile on her face and in her voice and made sure we had everything we needed. To top our night off, she wrote us a lovely little thank you note. Thank you Kate! We definitely hope to be back and see you again.
Hot Day toward the end of Summer, Cava Sangria, great tapas (boars cheeks, scallops, cheese and bread )and my gorgeous wife for company. It doesnt get better.
Vegetarian options: A pretty good mini menu for vegetarian options. I wish they would change them up sometime soon. Food
Came once before and was good, came again today for my besties birthday and today Caleb was probably the best service I ve received in a restaurant in a long long time. Was really refreshing to have a server that actually cared and was happy to be there. Wish I could scoop him up to the restaurant I manage in Vancouver to have him work there for me. Went above and beyond and sprinted across to superstore to grab candles, always on top of his quality checks, drinks were filled and great attitude throughout. Don t sleep on Caleb and give that man a raise @bodega If Caleb could be my server at every restaurant I go to in the future I d be happy.
Great place for a quick bite or a full meal. Very good service and the food was very tasty. Definitely going back again.
Went with partner for birthday event. Service from Courtney was excellent. Good wine recommendation ( wish places would be more reasonable with bottle pricing) we got flat bread appetizers, was good with goat cheese and flavours but we agreed was missing something, we requested a balsamic glaze for side, gave it that extra kick, maybe this will be added to menu thanks to us , partner ordered tuna which was little over cooked but she didn t mention it, I ordered seafood paella, 2 spoons in and found rice was done poorly, was quickly resolved with new plate and apologies from Courtney and manager ( interesting that couple had same rice concerns as I encountered but declined replacement after multiple attempts) we got a free dessert which was nice, overall for price points of foods and not new establishment should not have encountered the issues with all the food,
Loved the experience, had a lovely time!
Great meal. Wonderful atmosphere.
Stopped by for the Wednesday wine deal, 50% off wine for the night. Great deal, and amazing food. Our server Caleb was great as well. All of the staff were very busy and a little overwhelmed but managed well. Our server Caleb was very attentive and kind throughout the chaos. I strongly recommend the Wednesday deal and the Thursday 8 for 88 deal as well.
Wonderful tapas, friendly service
Food was great, but I would like to make some observations. We seated at covered patio and the blinds were hitting my head (windy day) and i could control/move them. Also the seats against the wall were too far from the table and gave me a backache the rest of the night. Maybe adding additional cushions would help. Also, maybe the blids can be adjusted manually?
Great food, amazing tasting, still drooling thinking about it! Definitely recommend the seafood dinner for two
We are regular patrons of the 8/88 great value but book in advance! Great value and wine selection.
Bodega is a place you must stop to try out .. absolutely amazing .. very unique meanu Great atmosphere. Food
Went out for dinner to celebrate an anniversary. Food was excellent our server Emily was very polite and made our night very enjoyable. Also shout out to Josh who brought complimentary drinks to the table.:)
A neighbourhood gem. Food, ambiance, service---everything.
We went on Thursday for the 8 for $88 and it is an incredible deal, so much food and a bottle of wine for a fantastic price. Food was fantastic and we will definitely be returning
Bodega is a fine restaurant and it was my second time visiting. I did not have as good an experience as I did my first visit. I felt pressured to order as soon as I sat down with my friend. That was not appreciated. The tables were too close together and all in all it was not a relaxing experience. Food is always good.
My wife and I enjoyed an anniversary dinner here before game 4. The food was superb and Sarah our server and Nicole the manager were amazing! A wonderful and memorable dining experience!
Great food and service. We went on Thursday and had the eight for eighty. Perfect for two. We will go back,
Great service and delicious food. Cant wait to go again :) the bruschetta was wonderful.
Decent I wasnt amazed with the risotto lobster as I would just probably call it a plain risotto with hints of lobster. Their tapas are good for sure . Nice mezcal drink . Expensive but I would say not bad for once a year visit as the food isnt WoW! Food
My wife and I always wanted to try this restaurant. Neither one of us were overly impressed. There is no wow factor with the atmosphere or food. Very unlikely we will be going back
Most aggressive staff Ive ever experienced with a eat and get out mentality. We were immediately told there was a 2 hr limit as we sat down and repeatedly had to ask the waitress for a moment to read the menu, wine list, etc. As they cleared the dessert plates she informed us she would bring the bill even though we still had full glasses of wine so again we asked for a moment. Then another young lady brought the bill and advised us we made the waitress cry, a blatant lie, and we needed to leave immediately and never come back. I see other reviews of the time limit and pressure to eat and get out so were not the first. Honestly, it felt like a gang mentality and these young women were so aggressive it was shocking. Never experienced anything like it in my life.
Small resturaunt that is very busy, amazing food and the worst chairs i have ever sat in
Wow, amazing food and even better service. Recommend them for a quality meal in the Park.
Was really excited to try Bodega with a friend a few weeks ago. Ordered the mussels and there seemed to be a lot of shells in the sauce, which is not ideal but it happens. Then I pulled a chunk of metal out of the sauce in the dish and noticed the top of my mouth was cut - absolutely disgusting and not acceptable. The waitress removed the mussels from the bill - that s it. No manager came over to express how unacceptable that is or how sorry they were about our experience. In my mind, the entire bill should have been comped as it was only $60. Completely unacceptable and disappointing, horrible service.
I had high hopes for our first dining experience at Bodega, but unfortunately I left underwhelmed. When I booked our reservation the host had asked for any notes to be put on the reservation such as occasion - I informed them it was my spouse s birthday and to note an allergy. Neither of which was communicated to our waitress. The atmosphere is lovely and cozy however the food was disappointing. The garlic prawns weren t very flavourful and were room temperature and the pork belly was extremely dry and tough. Croquettes, chourico sausage, and patatas bravas were the better of the dishes ordered.
Wow! Now I know why everyone has beed talking about this place! Fantastic and different menu. Amazing selection of breads, and the shrimp was amazing. Quite busy but we had no problem getting a table. I will definitely be returning AND trying their other locations. What a find!! Food
My friends and I had a very negative experience last night.. I llove Sabors and all of the Bodegas and I have been eating there since they opened. Last night was not acceptable! We were kicked out at 7:58 because they had another group coming in at 8:00. We were reminded rudely 3 times while we were there for only 110 minutes. We also had a reservation for 2 weeks and we re not told that we had a two hour limit on our table! It was embarrassing as we were hosting our friend out for her birthday and last night was not New Year s Eve! I love the food but will not be treated like that again by the Sabor and Bodega restaurants ever again!
It is a very nicely lit cute restaurant with great atmosphere and ambiance. Food was good but very pricey. Not necessarily ideal as a family dinner but would be a great intimate place.
The food was pretty good. The servers were friendly, but the service was extremely slow.
Went for lunch during the week to this location as the one on the Northside didnt open till 4pm. Not busy at all which was great! The service was awesome, recommendations made to us were spot on. We tried the Boars Cheek! Wow! You could cut it with a spoon it was so delicate and tender, simply amazing. We also had an item off the Charcutaria/Meats which was the house cured beef which was served with horseradish mayo. I honestly couldnt tell that it was a striploin cut. Nothing fancy going on there. We paired our baguette with a chicken and smoked duck mousse spread, same consistency as a pate, loved it. The black olive tapenade spread was also enjoyed. For dessert we had the bacon wrapped dates. Two large glasses of wine to wash it all down. We were happily stuffed. The most expensive items on the bill was our 2 glasses of wine which amounted to roughly ($46) ½ the entire cost Total bill was $125 tip included. Definitely a return happy customer. Great job and service by all. From front end to back.
Cosy, friendly place. Great for a date night, awesome tapas and seafood risotto.
Hats off to the chef for the lip-smacking specials. We went to Bodega to celebrate our special occasion and the food, ambience and staff made it extra special for us. The portions are generous and carefully prepared to ensure the right amount of meat and other ingredients. Special mention to Sarah, who patiently explained all the dishes we ate and served with a smile. Thats what sums up a perfect evening.
Has supper at Bodega and really enjoyed the experience. The restaurant has good parking in a mall, a warm ambience and the sever was prompt and efficient. We had two tapas for appetizers - the bacon wrapped dates and the chicken skewers. We then shared a chicken paella for one with lots leftover. Food prices are reasonable because of the large portion size, wine was a bit pricey at $23 for a 9 oz glass. Recommend reservations as the restaurant is a moderate size and all tables were full
If you want to eat and run, this is the place. I met up with a friend for 530 reservation. We had a drink and food. We were asked to leave after 1 hour and 1/2. So embarrassing for us.
Always delightful
Incredible. First time as a date night with my husband and our server was knowledgeable, friendly and honest! She was so good with all our questions and was spot on with her recommendations. We had mixed bread (delicious), pork belly, calamari (perfect), lobster risotto (amazing) and the carrot cake special was probably our favorite and such a nice way to end the meal! A cozy atmosphere with prompt and friendly service and the food was totally worth the price.
Overall a great tapas spot. Some really good cocktails available. A little tight with seating, but understandable.
Love this place ! Food and drinks are really good !
We had the 8 for 80 that was a mix of 8 different tapas, incredible!!! A bottle of wine was included in the price!!! The tapas being served are changed every Thursday. We highly recommend this restaurant!
Food was delicious! The lobster risotto was amazing! Service was friendly, and we will definitely return. It would be nice if there was a gluten free bread option though.
We had ordered New Years Eve dinner before from the Sabor location and while looking online at the Sherwood Park Bodegas location noticed they had the same menu. I phoned and ordered the Meat Platter and the Seafood Platter off the Bodegas menu told the person what I wanted and they said it would be ready at 4:00 PM. I sent my husband to pick it up and he comes home with enough food for 4 people, how disappointing we have been looking forward to this meal for a week. So I call the restaurant said you gave us the wrong order! He said oh were you ordering off the Bodegas online menu, well yes I was where else would I order off? He said oh ya that s wrong! So I place my order at 12:00 PM the person taking the order does not ask or tell me that they don t have those platters and we assume everything is well. So the gentleman I spoke to on the phone said he was sorry for ruining our dinner but there was nothing he could do and gave me the Sabour email address. I am super embarrassed I was bragging to all my guests what a wonderful meal experience we were going to have. So we shared amongst 8 of us the little bit that was there.I am upset that our New Years dinner was such a bust, $200.00 for a few bites each. I have emailed the restaurant twice before I posted this and nobody bothered to respond.
This the by far one of the best restaurants I have tried since coming to Alberta. They offer a good selection of wild game as well as traditional Portuguese food. They are on the pricey side, but the portions and the food is top quality, I cant complain. Even with the cost of food going up, they managed to find a reasonable price point for what they are offering while still maintaining the quality. The place is pretty busy, but still offers walk-in and tries to accommodate. We ended up sitting at the bar, which was a lot quieter. It is definitely a lively place, maybe a bit too loud. Might be worth investing in white noise generators or some sound proofing on the ceiling to cut the noise down a bit, but other than that it is a great place.
Have had great experiences at Bodega Sherwood Park in past, but was disappointed in the food this last time. Undercooked (raw rice) paella was the last dish we were served it took a long time to arrive and was undercooked. I think the order was forgotten and they rushed it.
Very delicious food ,very good ambience and very good service. We really love the tapas.
Had an overall amazing experience when dining here. Nicole recommended a beautiful Cab Sauvignon to us and the service was great. All of the food recommendations from tapas to dessert were fantastic. Highly recommend
Absolutely lovely
Excellent and much needed addition to the somewhat lacking Sherwood Park restaurant scene. Weekday deals and happy hour prices are great. Been here a number of times and feel like there is always something I have yet to try on their menu. Wine selection excellent. Service has always been prompt.
Courtney (with the amazing bee earrings) was by far one of the most outstanding servers we ve experienced in a long time. Her exquisite menu knowledge, beverage guidance, and general Absolutly genuine joy as a server made our night fantastic. I genuinely feel We won the lottery ending up in her section!
Made a reservation for my anniversary showed up on time and the receptionist promptly told me there was a 2 hr limit on my table , the tiny table was next to the bar and so close to it that the people at the bar were at my table to say that I was not happy is an understatement , we left the restaurant with out ordering , here is a tip Bodega don t tell people that they have a time limit on their anniversary dinner and lose the tiny tables next to the bar they are an insult to paying customers
Had a nice Family Day Dinner with friends and family at Bodega Sherwood Park.!! I personally loved the ambience and my first time tasting Portuguese Cuisine.!! My kids and me loved all there dishes.!! I enjoyed the peri peri chicken and my husband has became a fan of their smoked salmon .!! From appetizers to desserts everything tasted delicious.!! Highly recommended for family with kids.!! Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are on the menu but with requests the chefs can make some items without meat . Parking: They have public parking available with more spots. Kid-friendliness: There are dishes that suits kids taste buds too.!!
Amazing!!
Food is delicious and always on point ....service is not the greatest had a empty beverage glass in plain sight our waitress walked by our table 3 times and didnt ask for refills...we had to wave her down for more drinks...Ive worked in the restaurant industry for many years... not acceptable ...
5 stars! What an awesome meal! Service was fantastic and we really enjoyed the space.
The food was amazing and everything we tried was delicious. Will definitely have to come here again to try more of the menu.
Great food! Great atmosphere! Good company. Waitress was outstanding. She recommended a great wine. Will come back with friends!
very good staff they work so hard and are VERY respectful with the public
Pretty pricey but unique dishes and tapas. I would come back if there were specials. Braised boar cheeks and grilled meats platter were my top dishes.
The menu is hard to navigate .. not sure what most of the menu even was , explained concern to waitress , that we would like a sandwich of some kind so she offered us an off menu choice , which turned out to be fantastic . This woulda been a 5 star if the menu was a little more friendly to the blue collar crowd . You guys need to add a chicken/ pork sandwich to your menu for lunch ! It was delicious .
Mikhala was fantastic! Awesome time.
Great Vibes and delicious food. Each dish was incredibly flavourful and service was fast. Will definitely come again to try their expansive list of tapas. Off menu: you can get extra mini grilled breads that go really well with your braised chorizo leftover sauce! 5 for $1.50. The lobster risotto sauce is delicious! Same as the octopus. Although the shrimp in the risotto could have had more crunch . The menu could be updated a bit as the grouping was a bit confusing. (Ex. Flaming chorizo is under charcuterie which confused me a bit. Missed out on ordering it!) next time!
Great place
Love the atmosphere, food and service is amazing! So glad they take reservations.
We usually dine at the Highlands Bodega location and have never been disappointed. Superb experience! Sherwood Park location not as such unfortunately. Service was ok, but the food was not up to the standard we were expecting. Some dishes were quite good, while others felt like they were prepared in a different kitchen? Meat was tough and dry, potatoes overcooked. Butter for the bread served in individual plastic containers? This isn t IHOP. Sorry but we will stick to the Highlands location.
We went with a larger group of 7 for a birthday party. They serve hors doeuvres and drinks we ordered the seafood family plate and the beef family one. And a few extra plates. This is different but very tasty and interesting. Noisy & busy on a Friday Night. Dietary restrictions: Without us even asking our waitress asked if we had any dining restrictions Kid-friendliness: Its like a dining room so kids can come in.
Went for dinner tonight and had a wonderful meal! The service, food, and atmosphere are always top notch. I felt so bad my watch wasn t set ahead after the time change and I didn t realize until later that we were there wayyy past close. I felt horrible!!! They never said a word and just let me and my date chat away and didn t rush us out at all. What an amazing team I ll be telling everyone about this amazing experience and I m SO SORRY for staying past close. I felt so bad after.
We went as a group of 4 and ordered the seafood platter (clams, shrimp, scallops, mussels, squid, lobster risotto) and the land platter (lamb, chicken, pork, sausage, wild boar, rice, brussel sprouts, potatoes) to share everything. It was plenty of food for 4 people and we had leftovers to take home. The dishes were all very good, with a variety of flavours. The wild boar was a bit dry, but still not bad. We also added the chorizo bread and butter, but didnt find it worth it... the chorizo was similar to a deli meat and baked into the bread, which made it dry/too crusty. The regular baguette was amazing though! It was perfectly chewy to dip into the saffron sauce with the clams. Overall Ill be back and I would recommend trying this restaurant!
Great seafood options! Very different than our regular restaurant food! We liked it as a family! Service was great and food brought to table in a reasonable time. Highly recommend to try them. Price is bit higher than regular but its worth it!
My coworker and I wanted to try something different and Bodega was the perfect choice. We tried several different dishes. The Boar Cheek and the Beef Skewers were stand out items!
We were there for dinner. The piri piri smell was very strong in the restaurant causing myself and other patrons to cough a lot. We tried to address it to the manager and he just brushed us off. With all the coughing and strong smell, it definitely put a damper on our evening and was not as enjoyable as we had hoped. Side note, the risotto was a little dry and not as creamy/ cheesy as it should be.
I have nothing but amazing things to say about this restaurant. Amazing food, great service. The price is on point considering how good everything was. You can truly tell when food is made with love. I can t recommend this place enough! Will definitely be frequenting again! My only negative feedback would be the white sangria tasted more like a flat mimosa. None the less, I am still very happy and loved this place! Also the decor is so cute!
If you are in Sherwood Park this restaurant is an absolute must. There are so many options! The top three were the scallops on a glorious bed of avocado salsa, the lobster risotto, and the bruschetta! The wait staff was very helpful with making recommendations and sensitive to seafood and nut allergies. We went with a group of 6 and shared everything, it was filling with lots of different options. I must go back to try the bacon wrapped dates!
The prices are reasonable for what you are getting ..they have specials that really help keep the costs down ...you can Inhofe yourself with a guest for less then 100 dollars ...very nice and unique place..
This restaurant is fabulous I ordered a chicken and chorizo paella and omg this dish is amazingly tasty and so rich in protein, flavor and the service... the servers are beautiful and friendly Beautiful experience Thank you
Great service and amazing food!
Wonderful little place. Great service and atmosphere. The food was amazing. Tried alot of small plates and everything was great. Fresh warm bread with truffle butter!! Mussels!!.
This place is amazing. Delicious food from a great variety in menu. The service was great and prices super reasonable. 5 stars for sure
Everything was amazing! We ordered too much but oh no... Leftovers .. super stoked for our midnight snack. Cool decor and super friendly staff :) extra bonus that theres parking at this one compared to downtown!
Love the Sherwood Park location! Such a cute outdoor patio to enjoy the hot summer nights. And on Thursdays they have the 8 tapas for $88 special that includes a bottle of wine. My only negative is that the inside is quite small/cramped and wouldnt be easy accessible for someone with a wheelchair/walker etc.
Not my cuppa tea for food choice but they were extremely accomodating with my childish requests. My parents loved it and everything was great. Just no simple choices like a burger or steak. I guess thats the whole thing is to try new choices etc im just a picky eater Wheelchair accessibility: Single wide door is odd for a modern restaurant and might be slightly difficuly for a wheel chair user
Great food and service
Love the food and atmosphere
The beautiful waitress Kate is the kindest worker I ve ever encountered in all of the restaurants I ve visited
Superb everything-food, decor, vibe, service. Can t wait to go again. Parking: Lots of free parking available.
The food here is beyond fantastic. Everything is delectable, even if it sounds a bit strange (bacon dates). The place is always busy, great vibe but sometimes when busy, the service is slow. Especially as the night goes on, they let staff go and only 1 or 2 people have to run the floor. It can really cause poor/slow service.
Great Lunch specials and amazing service.
Decided to try Bodega for the first time on Thursday. We arrived for our 7 pm reservation and there was hardly any empty tables. We were told to wait while they prepared a table, which took just over 10 minutes. We ordered the Thursday special of 8 tapas, which was delicious and included a bottle of wine. We would definitely come back, but would probably come earlier or after 7:30 to avoid the crowd on a Thursday. The tables are close together and it was louder than I prefer when it s so full. I can t take away stars just because they were super popular.
Bodega, you didn t disappoint. Food and service were top notch. The same quality we re used to receiving from the OG Bodega. We ordered the grilled Spanish octopus, lamb skewers, bacon wrapped dates and the special, a seafood linguine. Everything was divine! We finished with the passion fruit cheesecake and coffee bar (a mousse like Coffee Crisp). So damn good. A special shut out to our server, Andie, who is the most likable and efficient human we ve ever encountered working in a restaurant. You re a gem, Andie! *There is ample parking at this Bodega location and they take reservations. A huge bonus! We ll be back.
The busy one!!! Superb and a great place to eat for those of us who love food.
Went on a Tuesday evening was not busy and service was slow. Food was very average nothing stood out to make us say wow need to go back again. Dont think will visit again anytime soon.
The food and service was amazing! I love that I can try different dishes that I likely wouldnt order elsewhere. Highly recommend
I love this place! The food is great. Bacon covered dates, piri piri prawns, meatballs, charcuterie board. It s all been good!
We ve been here many times now and we ve had great experiences and what I would call a one off night. They staff handled the one off night so well that we haven t hesitated to continue to come back. Tonight we were greeted by Kate who seems like someone who genuinely loves what she s doing - for a moment her smile and warmth had me convinced we knew her and didn t recognize her. This is what I will now measure every other restaurant greeting and seating too. I ve never had poor service when it comes to drinks and food but Nicole also took it to another level. She was knowledgeable on the forever revolving wine list and made effortless conversation. She went through the trouble of trying to locate a wine I enjoyed last week that was no longer on the menu. I know that there s many hands behind the scenes that work together to create the type of experience we had tonight and we appreciate all of them. You ll never go wrong with the curry eggplant spread.
Excellent food and great service! The bartenders were fast and the manager was super friendly and knowledgeable.
We were for Fathers Day and being as a special occasion like it was, it was not packed, food & service as always amazing.
Awesome Food combo, Mahi Mahi Fish with Prawns and vegetables risotto. Good enough for two.
One of our favorite restaurants with the most amazing food, cocktails, wine and service! Awesome specials throughout the week and now they take reservations which is even better! Such a wonderful experience, great to dine with a guest or group! Amazing patio as well! Overall Bodega is outstanding!
So many great appetizers! LOVE the calamari.
Everything was so good and the atmosphere was relaxing and let you enjoy your time. There isnt much I wouldnt do to have more of the bacon wrapped dates
Mondays are tapas and it was amazing! We got a bunch to share between 3 people and we re not disappointed. The food was coming out at good intervals. Flavour was delicious. Patio nice and cool. This is not our first time at Bodega but first time at that location. Loved the decor. P.s. cheesecake is a must for desert!
It is one of the best restaurants for sea food and meats. Jebin is an amazing chef. Would 100% recommend others to visit and would definitely go again.
Great menu. If you enjoy tasting different foods or different preparation options, this place is for you.
It s wasn t anything special. We spent $500 they didn t have the ingredients to make our drinks, they had to send someone to get the stuff. The food was a little spicy and o got better steak at the keg. The waitress was newer maybe? she wasn t that great. Seemed annoyed at every little thing. They all seem to stand in the back as a little group talking. We had to ask for a pop 3x. It s very small they wanted 6 of us at a table for 4. Will we be back ? Probably not
Amazing Spanish food and atmosphere. Service was welcoming, warming and knowledgable. My favourite place so far!
Was so excited to try things out here and decided to not eat much before going. Arrived really hungry and we ordered the boar cheeks, pork belly and calamari to start. The calamari was pretty tasty, the cheeks were cooked amazingly but a bit salty, and the pork belly was flavorful but a touch dry. We then ordered the Landfood platter and were excited to dive in as my in-laws had eaten here before and raved about the quality. The potatoes brava pretty decent, veggie paella was spot on and yummy, the brussels sprouts left a bit to be desired being soggy, while over spiced. Near all meat was on a skewers. The chicken was okay. The Iberico Pork was so overcooked I needed to drink my water to hydrate it enough to swallow. The steak knife was absolutely needed to saw through those pieces of meat. The beef and lamb skewers were also overcooked to the point of dryness (not a stich of pink to be seen). Sadly, we couldnt tell the difference between beef and lamb because they were spiced so heavily. Even the Spanish sausage was dry, though it didnt look overcooked. For the price of the meal vs. what we received, we wont be visiting this group again. :(
Mid.
The perfect combination of exceptional food and tasteful portions! We (2 people) had three tapas, one pinchos morunos pair, and a risotto, which seemed to be the best combination of variety and filling. Also, turns out Monday is happy hour day so highly recommend to go then! Service was very good too. P.S. Bacon wrapped dates and spanish sausage skewers are a must!
Fantastic experience. Highly recommend the black rice risotto and the eggplant curry Absolutely delicious. Waitress seemed like a new hire but she was very polite. Honestly I will be coming back.
The food itself ranks more of a 4. But if you hit tapas happy hour, the value is incredible. Friendly wait staff and the orders show up quickly. The braised boar cheeks are 11/10
The food could have been warmer/hotter when it came to the table. Great service, atmosphere and wine.
Just loved it. The bucket of muscles with the tomato base. The vermouth short glass with an orange twist and god knows what other deliciousness. It was absolutely amazing Thank you.
We enjoyed the 8 for $88 on Thursday. Our server was so sweet! We made reservations and I would recommend you do that. You dont want to be turned away because they are too full. Our appies were all yummy!! Especially the bacon wrapped dates and calamari. We were having such a lovely time, I forgot to take more pictures.
Amazing place for Tapas and Pallea! Bodega Sherwood always delivers when it came to spanish small plates and tasty family shareables! Hats off to the kitchen for some of the best Boar cheeks and Bacon wrapped dates anywhere in Edmonton! Special shout out to Andre for being an amazing host! Looking forward to coming back here to taste the rest of their menu.
I love coming here. The food is amazing! Great service.
Neat little place definitely not what I expected when I walked in desserts were great.
Bodega always a great experience!!
This was an amazing experience for us! The staff, ambiance, and food were AMAZING!! We will definitely be back! Food
Kate is so sweet service is great and great food the waiters are so kind
First time at Bodega in Sherwood Park and it was fantastic!! Staff was so friendly, loved the ambiance and we had the appetizers and bread with spreads. Definitely worth the 5 stars!! We will be back
Went here to catch up with friends. Perfect place for trying a bunch of foods with friends! The pork belly was a bit dry but still tasty and likely a one off this time around. Likely considered a loud environment during dinner rush but was still able to hear the conversation at the booth we sat at. Couldnt say the same if we sat a table in the middle. Overall everything was wonderful! Definitely recommend the Lobster Risotto and Piri Piri Chicken.
We come here quite often, the prices are great, the food is great, and the service is consistent. I really quite like their restaurant just sometimes you can feel a little squished. I dont know how the servers can get around so easily, but my only thoughts are at times, a little too squished together in there. Otherwise, service has always been at least quite good. I figure staff have good nights and bad, and if their version of a bad night is still pretty good, then I will take that place any time. Food is honestly divine. Some things are not for everyones palette, but thats just personal preference. The specials they have are great for Thursday nights. We like to get a few friends together and take advantage of that deal, and I will say we have never had a bad or poorly cooked dish. Thank you and look forward to coming back!
3rd time to this location and it never disapoints. Make reservations. Order a few different items to share. Everything is delicious.
I m really sad about my recent experience at the Sherwood park location :( I have for years gone to the downtown location, and it continues to be where I recommend all my friends to go for wine and tapas. I went for lunch here with my mom last Saturday and was really shocked at the difference in quality between the locations. I usually get a cheeseboard, but this time the cheese arrived in tiny thin slices that has started drying at the edges and even curling. We actually sent back the piri piri chicken skewers because they came to the table completely cold in the centre. And unfortunately one of my favourite dishes, the bacon wrapped dates also came with cold solid cheese in the center. On the upside, The boar cheeks were great as per usual, and the front of house staff was really wonderful, our server was kind and attentive. And they even brought us over a glass of bubbles to top off our bottle as when they opened it, it exploded and overflowed. I absolutely adore the downtown location and have never had one bad dish or drink there!! Highly recommend bodega and Sabor downtown anytime you are in the area !
Went in for the Thursday special of 8 tapas, and a bottle of wine for $88. AMAZING!! Our server, Sarah, was so accommodating and very sweet. We had such a great time and will definitely be back. I also want to mention how wonderful that staff was to accommodate our change of reservation from 7PM to 6:30PM. They called back to let me know a spot was available. Now that is service!
Visited for our anniversary and wow Service was great, food came hot and tasty. Manager was hands on with the staff and customers, even came by to wish us a happy anniversary. Huge shout out to Nicole and Brynn, such a wonderful night
Great food, safe place, tasty dessert
The wife and I came here for a date night and really enjoyed our experience. The atmosphere was very warm and although it was busy, it didnt feel cramped. We ordered the bruschetta to start then followed that with the calamari, roasted brussel sprouts and boar cheeks. All were delicious. Easily one of the better date night spots in Sherwood Park IMO
A very nice place, special for people who like tapas. Good wine and liquor selection. Very friendly staff.
We stopped in without reservations and they fit us in, Sarah was our server and her service was spot on, recommend great dishes and checked in on us the whole way though, great service is still out there! Thanks Sarah Service
A unique spot for Sherwood Park - one of the best date night restaurants you can get in the worlds largest hamlet. The food is always fantastic, the service exceptional. Were thrilled to have Bodega nearby.
Great food
Wonderful food. Great atmosphere. Will definitely return.
Always great food here.
Parking: Lots of parking available
Poor service as in none. Bad business model to deny 2 people ready to dine if there is an open 4 person table for the potential of 4 people to show up.
Great food. Dont miss the bruschetta! Good wine list. 1/2 price happy hour until 5. Good service
Delicious! Grilled Octopus, Seared Scallops and Tuba Tartare were our favourites.
Absolutely amazing. Awesome food, awesome service, beautiful experience.
3 gals went out for a lunch treat. We ordered bruchetta,$9 piri piri chicken $12 and a meat and cheese charcuterie board. $48. It was all really tasty, which one would expect at those prices.
What a great find! We dined out on the patio. The food was sensational and the service (Emily) was topnotch! I ordered the 5 Tomato Salad ($12) and the Chorizo Iberico (Iberian black pork chorizo $12) and my husband ordered the Halibut Risotto Special (Halibut, risotto, and prawns $34). It was plated beautifully and all the food was very tasty and fresh. Compliments to the chef for all the great tasty flavors. I cant forget to mention the Sangrias... so good! A great dining experience overall. We will definitely be back to this place. I also discovered that there will be a new location some time next year in Southeast Edmonton!
Loved the food and appreciated the service.
The 2 of us had been to Bodega just once before just to check it out. Tonight we decided to go for dinner, we weren t disappointed. We had a couple cocktails to start those were tasty and then ordered calamari and tuna tartar for an appetizer- both delicious Most times we prefer 2 different dishes so we can share our plates but we both wanted the halibut special with Argentinian prawns in a lobster broth risotto and omg everything we had was absolutely amazing. I think this is my new favourite place
Great place to reconnect with friends over a glass of wine. The food is top notch. The wine is always well chosen. The servers are knowledgeable and kind. This is definitely a favourite spot in Sherwood Park.
Excellent food and incredible service. Waitress and all servers were quick and personable! We ordered a variety of tapas with my favourite being the bacon wrapped dates, braised boar cheek and the pork belly. We were full at the end of our meal and they were happy to accommodate a dessert to go! I will be going back again. Thank you for the excellent night.
My bf and I went to Bodega tonight & we really enjoyed our night. Good staff, good food & excellent experience.
Bodega became our favorite place for a weekday night out with my partner . We just love love the Thursdays deals but we keep Bodega as a closer alternative to Savor my favorite restaurant in Edmonton. Period! I love the Paellas, homemade bread but my favorite ever is the Gallega Octopus! The staff at Bodega in Sherwood Park always, yes, always! Makes our visit an amazing experience! We always prefer to seat at the bar because we love the staff customer service there, particularly Chris, a top bartender with amazing skills and experience with cocktails and drinks!
Always love going to bodega and enjoying good wine and amazing food . Raiha served us this time and we had the most amazing time ! Best service and food!
food: 9.5/10 - authentic and outstanding service: 10/10 - often checked on how the food was, fast service and very friendly variety: 9/10 - good options cleaness: 8/10 - does a good job of keeping everything looking good but washrooms often a bit dirty
If Canada had a restaurant that rivaled European cuisine than I say Bodega would most likely be on the top 5 list. Not only are the staff open to constructive criticism of their items that may not be as exceptional as all the others dishes purchased but that they are also attentive, helpful, grounded and polite, hospitable and just nice warm individuals. The food items may seem expensive at first but once you receive them and begin eating you realize that all have unique high quality flavors and are well worth the price. The value is there and I am more than willing to pay the extra prices to receive what my palate is so been seeking when Im lazy or tired to cook at home. I am sold and I hope you have as good as or better experiences than I have had If not, talk to them, let them know your thoughts and feelings and offer suggestions or avenues for improvement. Working together never felt so good. Let your senses and sensibilties awaken. En-joy! Parking: Ample parking as it shares the lot with Superstore and other shops.
I like PO-TA-TOES
Amazing service, and I highly recommend the bacon wrapped dates as an appetizer.
I came in and immediately felt at home. Like I could spend a lot of time here
My hubby and I were in for dinner this evening.. first timers here and couldn t be happier. This place was inviting, cozy not overly loud which was great to be able to have a conversation and not have to yell over the table at each other. Hate that. The food absolutely delicious! 5 star :) we shared the Thursday special lots of things we ve never had before and loved all of it & paired perfectly with their red wine. The service was on par super nice, friendly. A tad bit crowded but definitely recommend this place, by far the best bang for your buck. We will be back.
Little gem in Sherwood Park. We thought we would try this place based on previous reviews and werent disappointed. Quiet atmosphere, excellent food and good service. Highly recommend.
Food was delicious
