I ordered takeout from Earl’s a week ago, and my coworker kindly picked it up for me after I placed the order. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. I chose the Cajun blackened chicken breast with warm potato salad and coleslaw. While the chicken and coleslaw were good, the warm potato salad was a letdown. The potatoes were undercooked, with large, hard chunks that were inedible. I ended up throwing it out. I had also requested cutlery with my order since I was eating at work and didn’t have access to any. Despite checking the box for cutlery, none was provided, leaving me trying to eat a chicken breast with a spoon. For a $30 meal, these oversights were unacceptable. The most frustrating part was the lack of follow-up. I submitted feedback through the Earl’s website, which promised a response within 48 hours. It’s now been well over 48 hours, and I haven’t heard anything. This lack of attention to customer concerns has left me very disappointed.
This place always treats us well. Their food is always perfect and the same! The service is always accommodating and knowledgeable . Their options for water and drinks are decent. You’re always greeted sufficiently with polite and happy staff.
Second time at this particular Earls and it was a wonderful sitting inside this time with the buzz in the lounge! The Jumbo crab cakes were light, fluffy, tasty with a bite of heat that left lingering taste - excellent choice! The salad was v skimpy but the crab cakes made up for that..
Underwhelming Alfredo, also weirdly when ordering the Alfredo they asked half or full chicken, I said full, but apparently that means adding chicken so an extra charge, IDK what I expected but I felt mislead. Truffle tortellini was good and the garlic bread was excellent, just a disappointing Alfredo and weird presentation of the chicken add
I really like the bar at this location. Especially enjoyed the key lime pie they currently have it was a huge portion and delicious.
Had a wonderful experience at The Sherwood Park location this evening. The food was great, atmosphere was lovely. But what truly made our evening was our waitresses. Sophie was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely thoughtful about our tables’ allergies and indecisiveness. She was prompt, always helpful, funny and considerate. If there was a reason for me to come back, it would be her alone. Well done Katie, the entire management and staff should be proud.
Dissapointing take out order. Tuna Tatiki was sitting on hot soup in the bag. The tuna was partially cooked from this. Asked for half sauce on a dynamite roll. Covered in mayonaise. For a 100$ order your franchise can eat the cost of a second bag to ensure quality. When i worked at dominoes pizza as a driver 15 years ago, we knew not to put cold and hot items together. Be better!
Great new menu features, highly recommend the spare rib ravioli, has that long cooked and braised taste which makes it great. Service was quick and polite, all the food was good. Come during happy hour to get cheap beer and bites and definetly worth the trip out. Can get crowded at this location but volume is never really a huge issue. You can still have a good conversation with someone sitting across from you.
Went for Appy Hour! Got thr taco sushi.. came in a awesome presentation wooden blocks ! Couldnt resist playing with them after my meal lol. Overall will be back for appy hour ! Lots of vegetarian options aswel :)
The aburi salmon pressed sushi was a disappointment. There was hardly salmon in it. It was covered with blown-torched mayo but I could not even taste the salmon. What a joke. $18.75 for mostly rice. They should just remove it from the menu.
Good place to have a company lunch
The food quality has gone way down and they also give you less. Definitely not worth what they are charging.
Lisa, Kaitlyn, Katie and Kendra all rock. Great service, all super friendly.
The food is great but they didnt want to take my money. I tried to pay cash but they dont keep coins on hand. I suggested they round down, they suggested they round up. It was a $4 difference. I wasnt happy about it. Will be going to Chop in the future.
Food was good, server was great, drinks menu needs way more options, basically just serving wine. Place seem dull.
Great place food was good i had the sushi
Chloe was an excellent waitress!
This location is feeling pretty dated compared to some other spots in Sherwood Park these days but the food and service are still great!
What an experience we had tonight. Pineapple mule - straight up sparkling water but the manager claimed it was made according to their standard. Wow. Quite low standard eh! Italian spritz- waterered down fanta. The angry chicken lettuce and wings were ok. The chicken brie sandwich- very disappointing for $23. To top it up we got wet side plates. I dont know what to say. We have been to Earls in BC, i dont remember it being this bad. Its our first time eating at Earls in AB. Dont know if it is just this location but very disappointing on overall
First time at that location. Was very nice
I had an extremely pleasant experience at this Earls location. I ve only ever been to the Earls at WEM, so I didn t know what to expect coming to this location. I was greeted by a very friendly woman at the door who then sat me down at a table for lunch. My server was Gavin, a very professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind server. He was quick on his feet and always made sure I was taken care of with drinks and asked how my food was after it arrived. I had the clubhouse sandwich with fries, a Caesar, and for dessert I tried the white chocolate crème brûlée! The kitchen did a tremendous job and I would like to thank the Management for dealing with an issue of another table in the most professional manner knowing full well there was other tables in ear shot. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Thank you!!
I wasnt impressed this evening with the food or service at Earls in sh.park. we had a table of 10 for a birthday, and the waitress was not attentive to our table. the calamari was awfull, it snapped back in my face when i took a bite- tasted like frozen calamari you buy at Walmart, and my pizza was quite over cooked. food plates sat, not picked up after eating, I asked for containers twice to package my food, and literally had to flag our waitress down for attention. Earls has always been our go to restaurant, so Im quite disappointed with our experience there tonight.
It was ok
Never been to this location before, but Maria was phenomenal. Especially since it was her 3rd ever serving shift. Great personality and energy. I wish her luck in her studies, shes gonna go far! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience!
Scott made our experience wonderful - he was knowledgeable, efficient, patient, and a great conversationalist!
We came in tonight with my son and his gf. It was around 7 pm. We got a table right of way. Took a little while to get a server to come to our table. We ordered an appetizer, and it was good. We ordered the main meal and it took a very long time for the food to come out. Waitress didnt come to see us and let us know what was going on. We also waited for water refills, and eventually, she brought us a smaller jug of water. She didnt ask me if I would like another glass of wine. She didnt bring the food out, she didnt bring the wine out.. when Bill came, the min tip started at 18%. Honestly, I dont mind paying, but when you dont do your job, why should I tip 18%.. 1 appetizer 4 meals and glass of wine $190.. little overpriced. Little hot in the restaurant. I am very disappointed, I have sent an email and never heard back from the management . Because of that, I am changing my 4 star review to 3
I expect more out of Earls, so they get rated harder. I sprung a bit of not insubstantial cash for the Surf n Turf - Filet and lobster tail. And Im of the opinion that Earls is lost at sea when it comes to lobster. This is my second kick at the can at two locations, and the tennis ball texture spells disappointment in twelve different languages. Its a phone-in attempt at seafood. The filet was good, a perfect medium rare, but not Earls good. The veggies and potatoes would have been first rate at Dennys. But I wasnt at Dennys. This location has that common knock-out atmosphere which loudly proclaims in sotto voce you should pretend you are somewhere special, somewhere the minimum displayed tip level will be 18%. That said, the service was excellent. The server brought my companion three different rosé wines to try and was pleasant and present, a Pleiades shining in the Boötes Void. Im slowly realizing that Earls isnt a steakhouse, and the wise will stick to ordering what they do best.
This was the second time my husband and I have dined at this location, and funny enough, we had the same waitress both times. Haha! Not only was she fantastic, sorry I cant remember her name, but the food was delicious! We will definitely be back.
Had a great experience! We went out for my best friends birthday dinner and the food was great and our server Genevieve was fantastic! Would go back just for her.
We had genevieve as our server and she was definitely the best waitress i ve ever had. this girl deserves an immediate raise! i m sure she could run the restaurant, the best costumer service!!
Genevieve is the best server I ve ever had, she was so sweet, very good at her job, kept up with us the whole night, food was amazing as always too!
Very poor service. We waited quite a while - probably fifteen minutes or more - to receive our bill. It was so long one of our party left early because he was tired of waiting around. Then, after I paid, the server went to another table and kept us waiting again just to get the receipt. The slow, uninterested service put a negative tone on the evening.
Good happy hour options. The food is far better at the Calgary Trail location.
The service is great! Our server is very attentive to our needs. The only downside is we got put in a not so pretty area. Not a great location at all but we are to polite to say anything. The ambiance is instagram worthy. It looks very chic and posh. But the kitchen is noisy. The food for me is the worst. The chicken curry tasted divine although the rice is cooked not as good as the last time according to my friend and the kung pao noodles is okay, nothing special, save on foods noodles are better. So for 25.75 dollars each you are basically just paying for the ambiance I think. And then I ordered the steak- truffle tortellini and it is very salty. The steak is so salty as well as the mushroom. I hated for just keeping mum and no saying anything about it until after we payed the food. I finished it coz I dont wanna waste any and I also dont wanna complain (introvert problems). Overall, Im not coming back there again. The server is a very nice lady though. Maybe something happened and half of salt shaker got into the food but my tongue feels kinda numbish after eating it all (which Im regretting). I got to say the spinach and artichoke dip is really good though!
I was in on August 19 around 1:30pm sitting in the lounge, and I was very disappointed in how the staff members treated one another. The bar tender asked if she could go for a 15 minute break while it was dead and the server on shift made a very rude gesture towards her and seemed annoyed by it. Not a great team atmosphere!
We came in and had lunch today on the patio. The service started out fine and then unfortunately it went downhill very fast. One of the servers assisting accidentally toppled a frozen sangria on our table, which is totally okay as mistakes happen but the after was quite difficult as a customer. The server with our food immediately handed my friend her food when she had a table full of frozen sangria infront of her. After that they had pushed the slush off the table getting her shoes sticky and wet. They then wiped it up with another rag quickly and advised they were sorry but that s the best it s going to get . Would have appreciated a spot to a separate table as there were many open or just more care. My friend had to move spots as the back part of the table was still sticky and not properly cleaned. Then we ate our food after waiting for the clean up and were without napkins, cutlery, etc. had to ask a hostess who walked by for napkins taken off another table. Our server then went on break which again totally understandable but nobody informed us till a new server came by 20ish minutes later to ask if we needed anything. The rest was difficult having to wait another 15-20 minutes to pay when we then had our old server and new server both working. Just no communication. The drink that was spilt was not offered to be comp d and wasn t brought up again. We were polite throughout but felt as if we were treated poorly. I think the service today was focused more around upselling the menu than ensuring the customer was comfortable. Just frustrating.
Food was disappointing. Hard bread on the roast beef sandwich, cold gravy and overall unremarkable. You folks have systems and processes in place that arent going to change if I complained and, being in the hospitality business myself, I know how easy it is to do this right. Surprised to see so many one star reviews, Earls, tough times ahead for this industry and one stars wont cut it.
Earls consistently meets or exceeds expectations. We were looking to celebrate an important milestone on a hot Monday afternoon, and Earls did not disappoint. Drinks were correct, cold, and never left to finish before the next arrived. Food was hot and at their highest standard. Just love how we can get the same great service and attention even st 3pm on a Monday.
Atmosphere was ok but we did not find the food to be that great. Kids stopped eating before full and husband got sick.
Its always a fantastic time at Earls. Thank you again for the awesome meal Food
Great steak!!
Food was absolutely amazing and so were the drinks. All of this was made even better by our fantastic server Sophie who took the time to make sure all of my allergy concerns were taken care of as well as put up with every time we changed our minds on what we wanted order. Overall a great night out.
Sophie is a wonderful waitress, who was very attentive to our tables special dietary needs. She spent extra time needed to ensure we didnt order anything that would place our table and guests at risk. Thank you for a great experience. Food
The new calamari was absolutely disgusting. No flavor I would not recommend
Edit: the management team made it up to us and ensured we had a good experience. We sat in the lounge during happy hour only to watch the bartender and servers chit chat at the bar, leaving us unattended. We sat there for over 15 minutes with no water or menus. We watched several girls fill up their ice teas and go on break in the back. It was extremely disappointing and we will not be returning. This is not how an Earls should operate.
Exceedingly overpriced.
I came to put in an order for take out and they were fantastic! The food was prepared very quickly, I had the tuna bowl and food was excellent. I ve actually had that bowl a few times in Vancouver and the bowl was so much better here.
Holy! I came here for Happy Hour post-Oilers game with some friends and we had an absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Our server was extremely confused with our orders, which were all Happy Hour appetizers/drinks and not at all confusing. Our drinks took 20+ minutes to come out, and half of them were forgotten and took even longer. Our sushi taco and fries appetizers also took forever, and water was finally brought to our table after the food. To end off a frustrating evening, turns out we were given a wrong Happy Hour menu that listed different prices. When we questioned about the prices listed, we were told that we were given the wrong menu by mistake, and in our servers words, it is only a couple dollars more and not a big deal. We were then charged the full amount on the new menu. Will not be returning to this location ever again.
Our server, Coral, was absolutely wonderful. From excellent service, menu knowledge and friendliness. The food was alright, the service was excellent. Had the Santa Fe Salad and it barely has any feta or avocado in it but otherwise was good.
We usually go for happy hour. Their regular fries and sweet potato fries are very good, and they also used to be great value. But, they just jacked up the price for happy hour fries by 50%, for yam fries by 25%. That would normally remove more stars, but in all fairness the quality and friendly service deserve recognition. Parking: Parking is limited and tight in front of the place, but there is a large free lot across the street.
Great location. Knowledgeable and polite staff. Food was fantastic but a little expensive. Can park across the street if the parking lit is full.
goated with the sauce. Ill be back next time her parents are paying.
Had the ribs and Cajun chicken, amazing pairing
My wife and I went there this week, we had starters the angry chicken lettuce wraps. The chicken tasted off and the lettuce had turned/ wilted . For a starter which is designed to share they didn t bring out small plates so we had to use napkins to eat from. It was pretty awkward. It s fairly customary for starters which share to come with small plates. As the starter tasted bad we didn t finish it. Moving onto the mains I ordered surf and turf 9oz, I asked for medium rare and it came out extremely well done (no pink and very tough). My wife ordered the blackened chicken and it came out tough, everything had been cooked to the extent it just really over done and hard to eat. My wife had like 3 bites and could not finish it, it was that bad. Now I presume this was down to the lobster tail being delayed it came out half way through our main. The waitress did apologize and said there was a mix up in the kitchen but whatever mix up they had literally ruined all the food. Drinks, the espresso martini was okay but I also had a mojito and it was awful, perhaps the worst mojito I have ever had. All in all I would not go here again when there is other restaurants at the same price of earls which just do way better food and service. Considering this is a $200+ meal for a couple I expect better service and better food quality.
My girlfriend and I came in on a Saturday afternoon (3pm) for some food and drinks. The lady at the front brought us to our table quickly and promptly. We sat there for 15 minutes in an empty restaurant (there were 3 other tables) it was not busy at all. We were not greeted by our waitress or anybody else for over 15 minutes. No water. No order taken. Another couple walked in and got served almost immediately. At that point we decided to leave. This was utterly embarrassing for an Earls establishment. I would not recommend this Earls restaurant.
Went to this Earls location for a family members birthday yesterday May 7th and was sadly disappointed in the service when it usually never disappoints. We saw our waitress once per hour, the location was not busy as it was almost empty and the table beside us was also fed up by the lack of service and professionalism in the dining room. The waitress was incredibly unprofessional and proceeded to whisper to the hostess beside our table complaining about her section after we had promptly asked for the bill after waiting 30+ minutes to see a dessert menu after finishing our meals. Will not be returning.
Good service. Food was tasty but somewhat overpriced. 30 buck for a bacon cheeseburger and fries seems a little overboard. Ill be back under the right circumstances the decor was very nice and comfortable.
Nice place for lunch. Little pricey
Zero customer service
First I ll say the service was good but that was it. Thought I d try the chicken Brie and fig sandwich. So gross, couldn t finish. I had ordered regular fries but they brought me yam fries that were limp and disgusting. Didn t finish either and have decided that this new menus is not worth another trip. Mother in law did like the salmon she got so at least one person at the table enjoyed their food. Super disappointed as Earls USED to be a favorite spot. We just won t be back, so many other good places in the park to dine at.
Had the roast beef sandwich and was hoping to have some zest to it. For the price I paid it couldve been a lot better. Service was good tho
Tried to call ahead to make a reservation for 6 adults and a child but could not get passed the automated message system so we tried to book online which said we could not book a reservation for more than 5 people. We decide to just walk in to ask what was available. Once we arrived the host was visibly annoyed that we did not make a reservation even though the restaurant was very quiet at the time. We got a table and Taylor our server was great, we had a small mix up with one of our meals which she fixed quickly and apologized for. There did seem to be a clear distinction between a lounge and a family side but I m not sure why as nothing was set up for children, no children s menu, no changing table in the bathrooms and we paid over $5 for a small juice mixed with water.
New Reno looks great. Have always been treated 1st Class. Food has always hit the mark. Food : 5/5
Had the spring salad, was so yummy! Highly recommend!
The Food was great, the Bartender Kyla was friendly recommended great drinks and food .
Went with a friend to the Sherwood Park location and was pleasantly surprised. The staff was professional and efficient. Space was clean and nicely decorated. We got mojitos and blackened chicken sandwiches which were prepared well and served on clean dishes. The clean dishes were a relief as this is why we stopped going to earls in Edmonton because the plates came with an appetizer you didn t order. Sherwood Park for the win.
Excellent And prompt food, excellent atmosphere and excellent service And very delicious...
Ordered a takeout last night, which included a vegetarian hunan. Requested vegetarian; however, didnt find out till I got home that it was made with chicken. This is the 2nd time this has happened at this location. Wouldnt recommend taking out from here. I shouldnt have to be checking my food every time from now on to ensure it is correct. Be better
Really disappointed in our experience. We ordered take out for our family. My wife ordered sushi and steak. We drive 20 minutes home to find that her order is missing. Called in to ask for a refund on her meal, they said they couldnt process a refund because we ordered via their website, the only option was to drive back in and pick it up if we wanted it. With gas prices these days, thats an added cost we really didnt need, plus 40 minutes of our time for their mistake. Ridiculous. I have no idea why they wouldnt just refund the meal that we were not given. I find it hard to believe that a refund isnt possible. Last time we order takeout from here.
Happy hour is always great. Delicious food at a great food!
This earls is very consistent, the staff are amazing, and the food is often times great! Today our experience was great as always. This is usually our spot to eat as a night out with the family. Our server was amazing, but we were mis informed by the hostess. We asked if the happy hour brunch menu was available and it was apparent to our whole table that it was available that night. When we were charged it was the price of the Normal eggs Benedict which was incorrect according to the hostesses response at the beginning of the night. Yes, given we could have done a little more reading or research into the menu we would have figured this information was wrong buuuut we were hungry and hungry people miss things lol. We had made it apparent that we were upset. This review is to ask the marketing team to re design their brunch menu and split the happy hour prices and regular brunch menu into two seperate menus to make things more clear and concise! Thanks for the great night again. Hope this finds the earls team well!
Used to love this location - don t know what happened but was super disappointed tonight when I ordered in, spent $70 and was given a dry ahi tuna poke bowl with quite literally no sauce, unripe mango & so much cabbage to supplement in it? The menu doesn t list cabbage & this bowl has been one of my favourites for a long time & it has never included cabbage before, definitely didn t go well. Hoping it was just an off night? **Coming back to edit & say I now know thanks to an official earls cookbook the tuna poke bowl recipe most definitely does not include any cabbage, so not quite sure of the managers response to my initial review. Hoping things have improved since then.
This location is beyond inconsistent. I am a huge earls fan I find it the go to when we dont need a reservation somewhere. But this location (SP) for whatever reason needs something to change. Whether thats management, staff (especially the cooks) & the waiters. The personality from our waiter was so dry and horrible it has still left a bad taste in my mouth. Not sure if he was brand new or first shift ever but really not great. On top of that , it not being busy on a Wednesday night at all, it took 15 minutes to come ask myself and my friend (who we had our 2 year old boys with) what drink we even wanted. Then another 20 just to come see if we wanted food yet , let alone acknowledge anything else about serving us. We seemed last priority to this guy. And as mentioned on the consistency front Ive never experienced such hit or miss with my meals here in comparison to the other locations... I know what to expect taste wise and presentation but its not there with this place. Serving a dry old 1/4 of a cajun chicken on top of soggy romaine lettuce and forgetting avocado or bacon and charging what they do, unacceptable. And again, the server being new (probably?) would make more sense. He also forgot to seperate our bills when I mentioned it was. Then we spent another 15 minutes waiting on him to figure that out while our toddlers were antsy to get going. Like read your audience and put a rush on it. All in all I just wont be back. Ill go to clareview where they care a bit more about the client satisfaction, thanks!
Amazing array of selections. Excellent food, service and Ambience. Saturday was busy and place was vibrant yet not noisy for the attendance. 45th Anniversary was reason for Celebration.
Great food and excellent service!!
Very clean , Excellent staff , great variety of food. Great spot for a date night or before you take on the town. Highly Recommend
Food was great. Getting the bill was a little slow
Always great food and service!! Everything came out hot and fresh and in a very timely matter.
Great spot for lunch. Had the burger and fries.
Came to write a review and found that 4 years ago I also happened to write a poor review. We had an even worse experience recently. Food was delicious but our waiter seemed very inexperienced or distracted or something. For the restaurants only having 2 tables of people (plus 3 couples in the lounge), 2 tables also just had left, our service was deplorable! We ended up having our main meals to go as they were never submitted when we had ordered and then we were lied to about it. The night manager did compensate a future meal as we were leaving as the waiter didn t even seem bothered by anything that had happened even after my husband addressed it with him. Would only recommend here for the food, don t rely on great table side service as it s even decreased since my last poor service experience unfortunately. Kid-friendliness: Does not have a kids menu but there are chicken tender-like options, pizza, as well as fries.
We walked in, yes its extremely busy we can see. No acknowledgement from the hostesses whatsoever. We stood there while 3 of them gathered around the podium.. not one looked up..even just to say Ill be with you in a just moment after a little bit they let us know itd be about 15 minutes for a table in the lounge, which was totally fine. We were then seated. The server was prompt with our drink order. We didnt mind waiting after for our food orders. However, it started to be less busy and service started to slip. We waited for the server to come around again as we wanted to order another drink. We then see our drinks at the bar...just sitting there.. with 4 servers standing around... it was someone other than our server who brought them. Should I have got up to get them? I thought about it. We were left afterwards for so long... how do they know how much money I was willing to spend? Also, used to be a classy joint. Not anymore, as it seems I can just walk in in my sweatpants and hoodie over my head and sit at the bar. Sorry Earls. Not coming back.
Horrible customer service was experienced at the front entrance, where three individuals were seen gathered around the podium while my sister and I awaited assistance. Despite not being attended to promptly, we kept standing right at the podium until the three people looked up and asked if we had been helped. We booked a table in the lounge and endured a manageable wait time. Disappointingly, no complimentary wine or champagne was offered while we lingered in the crowded front area. Once in the lounge, we encountered notably slow service. Even after the supper rush subsided, we found ourselves ignored by the waitress until we actively sought their attention for another round of drinks. Our order was seen waiting at the bar, with two bartenders present but not serving the drinks that were lined up to go out to the tables. Earls restaurant was once known for its high standards, but I believe there has been a decline in the quality of service. It appears that the establishment now allows individuals of any age into the lounge area, leading to a lack of professionalism. The patrons at the bar were behaving in a disruptive manner, even going as far as encroaching upon our table while waiting for their friend. Horrible atmosphere. This experience has led to the decision to not return.
Music way too loud. Could not have a conversation. Weve ask server to turn down the volume but they could not.
I love Earls. After I finish my shift I head there (Calgary trail/whitemud) with my collagues.. Sherwood Park is a completely different experience. Server needed to be reminded of items, very lil follow up, piled dishes, couldnt accomodate requests, it was one of our friends birthday, apparently they dont do anything for birthdays anymore... Now we know.. we will stick to our regular location if we have a craving for Earls.
I recently sat at the bar and had all around great service! :) awesome food.
My wife and I stopped here. We found the restaurant clean, the staff was friendly and the food was good. We both ordered a steak.
Always a pleasure to view the scenery at Earls. Food and service exceptional. Food
Went in to this location, as I had won a gift card from work, the server that we had seemed like myself and my husband were an inconvenience to her, rolled her eyes a bunch and was very short with us. The food was ok, but not the greatest. When it finally came time to pay and use my gift card the server told us she had to take it to the back to see if it would work (as a server myself, I had never heard of that) just for her to come back out 10 minutes later and told us the gift card had no money on it. (Used it at a different location and worked just fine) overall, disappointing experience, and will not be returning.
I dislike them asking for my phone number when walking in for a table, just creepy data collection. Fries were too salty, forgot cheese on my burger, wouldnt do a half fries/chowder for my wife, which weve had done recently at other locations and have done for decades having worked at an earls for years in my 20s. Underwhelming experience for all the razz and tech theyre using these days.
Our experience at Earls was awesome. Service was impeccable, and the food was delicious
The food was delicious.. however the atmosphere is not classy at all, most of the waitresses were wearing such short skirts you legitimately saw butt and vag the music was so incredibly loud we couldn t talk at the table, then it took aver 45 mins to just get our food AFTER we ordered. Our waitress was nice tho
Stepping into Earls is like entering a haven of hospitality. The staff and servers set the tone with their warmth and friendliness, creating an inviting atmosphere that instantly puts you at ease. Its a rare gem where the genuine smiles of the team elevate the entire dining experience. The culinary journey at Earls is nothing short of exceptional. The food is a symphony of flavors, each dish carefully crafted to leave a lasting impression. From appetizers to desserts, every bite is a testament to the culinary expertise in the kitchen. The combination of quality ingredients and skillful execution results in a dining experience that goes beyond mere satisfaction it leaves you with a sense of culinary euphoria. However, the one hiccup in this otherwise stellar experience is the pricing of cocktails. While the drink menu boasts an impressive array of options, the cost, particularly for a simple old fashioned at $16 for 1 ounce, gave me pause. This pricing felt a tad exorbitant and somewhat took away from the overall value. Its the sole reason why Im not awarding a perfect 5-star rating. In conclusion, Earls is a standout choice for those who appreciate friendly service and crave a culinary adventure. The slight dent in the rating due to cocktail pricing aside, Earls remains a top-tier establishment for those seeking an exceptional dining escapade.
Thought Id treat myself to dinner on my Birthday. Arrived before the afternoon rush, was greeted at the door, then went and grabbed a seat. The place was nearly deserted, and after I sat there for a bit a waitress came charging over and said Did somebody say you could sit there? Seemed a bit rude...then she said These tables are reserved....youll have to sit someplace else. So I did...at another Restaurant. Ive been going to Earls for over 30 years throughout BC and Alberta and Id never had a bad experience until then. There were no reserved signs on the table, and I had assumed because I wasnt told otherwise I could sit anywhere. I was unimpressed with the service here on my previous visit...I will never come to this location again.
Earls is usually a great place to stop and have a nice meal, but sadly my experience was not the greatest at this location. The food at Earls has always been great, but this time around it was underwhelming. The yam fries were good, but the burger I had was a let down, especially considering it was $24. The bun was dry and stale, while the burger overall was pretty bland. The caesar salad was pretty tasty, but had a bit too much dressing. The cheesecake desert was also a let down. It was okay, but was not very flavourful and tougher than cheesecake really ought to be. The blueberries were also not the freshest and one appeared to have mold on it which we did not eat. Lastly, the coffee was not very good, even though it was $5 for a cup. Very pricy for a throughly underwhelming, lukewarm cup of coffee. The staff, however, were amazing. A special shoutout goes to our server Nate who was excellent. He was friendly, personable, and all around excellent. He made the night memorable and I really appreciate all of us his attentiveness to us throughout the night. Overall, I am not sure if I will return to this Earls location, but may give it a second chance in the future.
Fantastic
bar is where its at,
Great steak and service
Our Server Caleb was amazing! We have not been out much since the pandemic. Our experience tonight was fantastic!
We had a group of 10 celebrating a birthday party. We all had different orders- some did shared appetizers I ordered a sandwich, some ordered just dessert. Adam was our server, he was very attentive and friendly. My sandwich was delicious, I have a dietary restriction and they were accomodating. There was a delay on the food- but we were a large group so it was understandable. Would celebrate a birthday there again!
If you can afford it Earls is a great place to have a special night. Atmosphere, staff and food are top notch.
Enjoyed my lunch date, food was delicious . Beer selection wasn t that great. Recommended dishes
Awosme dinner with friends, thanks for good service
Had a great dinner for our first visit to Earls. Our Server Adam was great.
Nice clean resturant, overall the place had a good vibe, friendly service staff. Hostess....not so much very poor first impression. Food was neither spectacular or terrible...it just was. Will I come back - sure if Im in the are but would never make trip to come here.
Great atmosphere, the lounge is staffed with very friendly servers. Prices are very reasonable, and they pour a true pint not sleeves only like other places that charge pint prices for a 12-14oz beer. Lots of new menu items as of March 2023
I just wasnt a fan of the chicken tacos or coffee but it is still a great place to dine at. Next time Ill try something different. The staff were wonderful very attentive. Really lovely space
Our server Nick was great, he was really quick and checked up on us a lot so we didn t have to look out for our server Gave great directions to the bathroom and he was hot
Came here with a party of 16 for a birthday. The place was packed. Was not impressed with the kitchen. Our party had our meals brought out on 3 separate times, staggered at 15-20 mins apart. Our reso started at 6:30pm, I didnt get my meal (second round of delivery) until 7:55pm! All the while waiting and watching servers, hostesses, staff doing circles around our section like it was a runway! No manager EVER came around to check up or apologize on the delay of service or quality check. Our birthday girl got her meal last! Our waiter did his best and I have no complaints there but it was embarrassing watching ppl sashay around doing what looked to be nothing besides pretending to actually be busy helping with something useful. Absolutely shameful. All I can say is, if you cant keep up with service, dont accept bigger resos. Would not recommend coming here for group gatherings or special occasions.
Incredible service today from Jessica and management!! So impressed with their dedication to a quality experience
I m giving 5 stars specifically just for the hostess named Kara or Cara. They welcomed my bf and I with excellent customer service, sat us at a table and told us a lot of helpful information, even told us where the washrooms were located. I noticed they were doing the same with all the other tables and was making sure to wash the windows and do lots of tasks. I hope management acknowledges their hard work as I don t find it as common. The food was alright and I was a bit puzzled when the waitress told us the drink we ordered was $6 but the bill charged $7.50 and when I asked why, they said oh sorry I guess it was more and then walked away without saying goodbye but not that big of a deal as we only came became of happy hour. They do have good vegan options that are worth checking out during happy hour. Vegetarian options: Vegan options worth on Happy hour.
Very nice atmosphere! The booth was a little small for 5 people to cram into and the food was pretty salty but our server was great.
Enjoyed excellent food from the kitchen staff and service from Cassie, but when we went to leave, my car wouldnt start. I let them know that Id be leaving it in the lot for a few hours and instead, manager Noah came out and gave me a boost himself. Above and beyond. Thanks guys!
Always great but man some of your servers are super robotic!!
Food was great, rose sangria was missing any garnish, service was good at the start but became increasingly worse as the night went on. Still a good time as per usual.
Most disappointing experience Ive had there. My wife is Celiac and couldnt order a meal that was GF. Our waitress couldnt guarantee that what she could order off the menu that said GF would actually be GF. It MAY Contain is the only response we could get. Even after going to the kitchen to check multiple times. It was terribly sad as this was one of her go to places . We finished our drinks, paid the $26 and went across the street to 5 Guys and had a burger ( hers was lettuce wrapped and the cook preparing it visibly showed us him changing gloves and ensured the fryer was dedicated to only potatoes).
Super staff. Amazing clam chowder soup.
Too noisy, return there was no free dessert for the birthday person as theyre already met their quota for the month, was not impressed and was expensive
Great staff, friendly servers! The house Hazy Pale Ale was delicious, and so was the cheesecake. Everything was good!
Food was excellent, staff was friendly and positive. Little pricey of course but if thats not a concern its a great place for a special meal
I must say that I ve been at this earls location several times, but this time around I was stressed and disappointed with the whirlwind of waitress/waiter who clearly did not know what they were doing. It was painful to wait over 25 minutes to pay for our dinner. The waiter clearly was confused and looked like a shark in a tank. There was absolutely no service presented to our table when we were eating. They have warm glass bottles on the table, warm water, no chilled or ice water, so less time served at each table. Think twice before walking through the door. Food was good, but extremely overpriced, from what you get.
Just had appetizers and a pint. Great sushi and wings!
Service was great, drinks were delish and I really enjoyed my vegetarian bowl!! Had no idea that Earls had a good selection of vegetarian dishes
Went for lunch, wasnt overly busy, sat 20 minutes without taking our food order and we didnt even get our drinks and all we ordered were sodas. Staff was friendly but cant service a lunch within a working persons normal lunch hour.
Decent location. Its not my usual location, but its a great meeting point for me to meet friends who are far north when Im far south. I think we ended up with newer servers the last 2 visits, so it was a little rocky compared to other experiences, but you can tell they were trying their best. Food is always delicious, and drinks are top-notch. Even my hard to please friend was super impressed with her dinner, which is hard to do as we are former industry staff. Clean common areas and washrooms and can see sanitation protocols taken seriously.
For many years this has been my favourite place to eat and always my first choice when I want to treat myself. Went in today with a couple of girls from work and sadly I will not be returning. Prices have increased which is fine - but the food quality has significantly decreased. Warm potato salad sauce tasted sour, barely any sauce on the ribs, and the chicken was smaller in portion. Friends fettuccini was essentially noodles in soup - sauce was watery. As always, service was great and prompt and the place continues to have a great ambiance and is clean. But I pay for the food, not the ambiance, so .sadly I will not return. The manager explained that some fettuccine recipes are more watery than others and that some of their recipes have been modified. Good luck to ya Earls! Enjoy the new modifications folks!
Ordered the caesar salad and artichoke dip. So good. Most places toast the dipping bread but earls puts a light olive oil on it and left it untoasted, the crust was obviously crusty but the inside was nice and soft. We sat on the patio and had such a good time. Only downfall, the ridiculously small parking area. If you have a large vehicle, youre better off parking across the street
Came to Earls last Friday for a quick Happy Hour drink. I was in the establishment for just under an hour. In that time someone smashed my car window and stole a few belongings from my vehicle (nothing of value). When speaking with management on Friday I was told there would be no surveillance of this incident. Though they have signs in the parking lot that say it is under surveillance 24 hours a day, this was proven to be false. After speaking with a few coworkers and friends who had previously worked at Earls, I found out this is not a rare occurrence. I have been told this is a WEEKLY occurrence and the establishment still has decided not to put in proper surveillance to keep their customers safe. After I found out this information, I emailed management to ask for further clarification. I was basically told it was my fault for leaving things in my car (which I didnt) while parking in that lot, and that they wouldnt be doing anything further. They even said that putting in cameras would do nothing but make the customer feel better about a situation that wouldnt be rectified. I sat in the parking lot for over 1.5 hours waiting for police to arrive and the staff didnt so much as ask me if I wanted a glass of water while I waited. I am appalled with the service at Earls Sherwood Park and if you want your car to be safe I would consider going anywhere else. This is an ongoing issue that they are choosing to do nothing about.
Service was very slow despite looking not very busy. Sat outside on the patio and a bird pooped on our table just requested to be moved. Food was excellent when it came but took a long time. So much confusion with the bill. Good thing I checked because it was 1/2 price wine night which was not taken off the bill. Server had to go and amend the bill several times. A short let s go grab a quick supper turned into a 2 1/2 hour ordeal.
Servers were very friendly and food was really good
This place has messed up my order twice. They dont know what they are doing in the kitchen. I will NOT BE BACK. HORRIBLE
Great atmosphere, food is always fresh and delicious.
Outstanding facility, well designed functional and very attractive. Service was outstanding, the staff were happy, bubbly and did a great job. Ive never experienced a better group, right from the hostesses out front to the wait staff. So kind and attentive. Food was good as usual and we all enjoyed our dinner and evening there. Most places the hostesses ignore as you leave but these hostesses were so attentive and kind even as we departed. Parking: They have two lots, asmall oneinfront of the restaurant and a larger one across the street. A problem as they have few disabled spots near the door so youhaveyodrop off and then park.
Sitting here waiting for the bill. Try to figure out exactly what we got for the price. Pretty expensive for a burger and fries and pop. No offer of a refill. Most places at least offer a refill. Food was good but nothing that stands out. Music way too loud and would it kill anyone to at least smile? Not bad Food but definitely wont be going out of my way to visit again
Hostess getting ready for Halloween? We went at 925pm waited in the front for 5 minutes then was greeted by the Hostess who snarped out we close at 10pm. Nevermind it was 930 only after we had been waiting for 5 minutes. We left. Rude staff, would not recommend and probably wont be back. Also it said right on the door and online, open until 11pm Kid-friendliness: Rude staff
Really enjoyed the food and the outdoor patio. Our server our mid-afternoon early dinner awesome. Thanks for the great time!
I went to the bar to drown my work week sorrows and from the first interaction I had with the bartender my mood was lifted. The friendly atmosphere in the lounge is only out done by the staff serving with a smile. Could not be happier with my dining experience thanks to them.
Bartender really doest wanna be here and it shows! Food way over priced. Ordered pizza, $18.00 for cheese and pizza sauce mmmm step it up earls
Nice atmosphere...good food and drinks
Overpriced food twenty five dollars for a caesar salad, really!!!! Glad I wasnt buying
This used to be my favourite earls but now portions are so small spinach dip came out cold said they were going to take care of it then when we mentioned it at the bill they wouldn t take it off food quantity has definitely gone down. Wasn t impressed with my visit
Standard Earls fare. Food was very good, but the atmosphere left much to be desired. Even though we were one of only 4 tables in the entire restaurant, they seated us next to a mom by herself with 3 children all less than 10 years old. The screaming, yelling, running around detracted from the meal significantly. Even 2 tables down would have made the difference.
Margaritas are my guilty pleasure and my server Kendra recommended I take them up a notch with don julio. I don t know if I should thank her or the bartender but it was the best couple of rounds i ve ever had!
Good food. Eat inside if you do not want flys attacking you and landing all over your food. I always tip 10% and from the looks from the waiters after they see its a 10% tip they do not look very friendly afterwards.
Not as good as the Clareview earls, more like an old folks home.
Vegetables could have been cooked longer other than that amazing meal and service. I was happy with my food but my grandfather was not impressed with his experience.
Our kids took us out for brunch to celebrate our 30th anniversary. When the kids were much younger (10ish), it was a special treat to go to Earls. The place has been very much updated since then and is quite attractive. We had great service from the staff (including the nice lady who snapped a few photos of us for my wifes Facebook friends). Food came quickly and was excellent. It was early so most of us ordered Eggs Benedict which I found to be perfectly prepared. The tiny parking lot in front of the building is much the same as it was 40 years ago, but they have a much larger lot across the street. Its probably best just to go straight to the larger lot. I will likely visit Earls some evening soon to check out the dinner menu. Vegetarian options: My wife chose the vegetarian tofu dish but skipped the hot sauce. She said it was really good.
I recently visited with my grandparents and had a great experience! I just wanna shout out Brooklyn, she was super friendly and polite when talking to us. 10/10 service!
My favourite restaurant ever! The best service you ll get anywhere you go and food that is like fine dining without the price. Highly recommend!!
The Coconut Lime Margaritas are awesome
The potatoes in my potato salad were still raw, which was disappointing, but the chicken was great
Best Steak I have ever had and that frckn salad with it was perfect!
Absolutely love earls. Beautiful patio. Parking: Limited parking in front of building. Typically have to park across the street. Food : 5/5 |
Chicken like jerky, forgot to add the bacon to the warm potatoes salad. It was takeout, not bothering to drive, but wife says that was definitely worth the 90 bucks. Weird because we have ate here before and no issues.
Don t bother.
We went there for a family dinner last evening . Our Server Hayley was amazing. Our Dinner was amazing. It was a pleasant experience had by us all
Great food and a great place to meet friends. The service was very good with no pressure. Well be back.
Nice atmosphere Professional staff Greeted Right away and seated by Faith with a lovely smile. My server was Riley. Through professional and knowledgeable to provide all the vegetarian options. Got the Margherita Pizza. Very delicious right blend of flavours Would luv to be back here.
This is very cool, thanks for your help
Good Food, good service, decent prices
Food and service were great!
The sandwich I had was a bit bland, not quite what I was expecting, but the service was great.
The food was great, as usual, however my 11 year old nephew ordered a burger with lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mustard. It arrived with no ketchup or mustard. Our server was nowhere to be seen for several minutes so we asked someone who was bussing tables if we could get some mustard and ketchup on the side as there was none on the burger. Several minutes later, the manager came to our table and wanted to see the bun for herself which was very weird and kind of offensive! All we wanted was ketchup and mustard not a whole production!
I am so torn with Earls. Ive been eating with this chain for easily 25 years. Its probably more but I dont need to feel that old. Food: Decent/Good. Listen, the food has always been pretty good and fairly consistent, but they have gotten so over priced. I typically only eat off the feature menu, simply because its a break from the same old stuff. The feature menu usually has lovely little meals and treats. I just find there are other restaurants that do similar food better and at better pricing, or where the high price makes sense because the quality is that noticeable. Service: Lackluster. There is absolutely a difference between Pre/Post Covid. It seems like there is really high turnover here and always overstaffed. When we sit in the lounge, we see 3-5 girls just standing around and visiting behind/in front of the bar, I hear all the gossip or complaining for extended periods of time all while waiting to get service. Ive seen the staff just saunter around with nothing to do. I remember going in and seeing the staff being busy, not this. Even though the server is nice at the table, and they do a decent job, I have not remembered a servers name after leaving because not only not memorable for positive, they likely wont be working there in 3 months. Atmosphere: Still one of my favorite lounges around. Ive always liked the set up and the space. I dont mean to sound too harsh in the review, because there really isnt much too negative, I just think that it is a blend in to the background place now. Predictable, over priced, high turnover... The food is at least good, just wish this location was as good as some of the others.
excelent service and good food liked it very much
The crab cake benedict was very flavourful. However, the potatoes that came with were awful. Either over cooked or raw. Hold the potatoes!
Always good food and a good dining experience! On my last visit we had a little incident (that was nobodys fault at all) and the manager, who just happened to be working her very first shift as manager, handled it with perfection! As someone who worked in the service industry for many years, I was incredibly impressed with how everything was handled and was beyond satisfied and even impressed! I definitely recommend their gnocchi! I added both the chicken and shrimp as I couldnt decide making it the most perfect dish ever!
Food is great. Service is fast & friendly. Great for date nights. I recommend the truffle pasta with steak. And the white chocolate crem Brule. Limited parking. Food : 5/5 | Service
Have a very good meal and service was perfect
Kid-friendliness: No kids menu, it wasnt kid friendly Food
Great food. Great service
The food was not the greatest. I had the poke bowl- the mangoes were underripe and the rice was dried out.
Very good food and fair portion sizes too! Expensive, but for good food I dont mind paying. I will be back. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free buns for burgers and a dedicated gluten free fryer Parking: Limited parking space Kid-friendliness: Kids are allowed in the dining room.
Lots of staff running around. Not much for substance however. Poor quality. Be better Earls Sherwood Park. You have the potential.
