Re-imagined modern Italian, fresh-cut pasta, fine ingredients, and exquisite wine.
Beautiful place! Amazing decor and ambiance. The food was good, however the portion sizes were disappointing for the price. Me and my girlfriends shared a bunch of dishes, and I still left hungry. The salad was definitely not shareable, it was quite small (and I think$20 for it?!). The mains were good, the steak was my favorite. The dessert was also small, not shareable either. Overall, nice place and vibe but expensive for what you get.
Came in on a Tuesday evening at around 5pm. Was very quiet and for the entire meal we were the only ones at the restaurant. The ambience was beautiful, perfect for a date night or a girls night. We had the bruschetta to start which was good, but it mentioned on the menu that it came with a balsamic glaze. Either it was left off or there was very little of it. I ordered the spicy rigatoni. Prior to coming into the restaurant I had a look at what the market offers. If I’m being honest, you could make it at home with their ingredients for cheaper than $30. Then we ordered the chicken Alfredo which was ravioli with the classic Alfredo sauce. Again, another thing that wasn’t anything to rave about. Overall underwhelming experience food wise, but our servers was great and I l loved the ambience. 3.5/5. Most likely would not come back.
5 stars across the board for ORO Trattoria. My husband and I had our wedding dinner here on Friday, and I could not have dreamed up a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome and celebrated. We were offered champagne, and the entire staff was prepared to ensure we had a wonderful time. There were flowers waiting at our table, as well as cocktails, which were not only delicious, but visually appealing as well. The food was exceptional (I am still dreaming about the chicken alfredo and arancini), and our server was attentive, kind, and offered us genuine well wishes and congratulations. We had a vision for some sultry, moody wedding photos, and ORO was the perfect place to capture them. The vibe is unlike anywhere else in the city, in my opinion. We cannot wait to come back - ORO will always be special to us, but it is the service, excellent food, and unique atmosphere that will bring us back over and over again.
Absolutely amazing. From astonishing service to mouthwatering dishes. Best sangrias and pastas in the Sherwood park/Edmonton area . For desert with had caramel toffee and tiramisu, chefs kiss. My Second visit and many more to come!
Came here for our anniversary. What a great addition to the park. The food and cocktails were incredible. Highlights: The arancini and the agnalotti. Spicy rigatoni and the bruschetta were also delightful. Thanks to the staff making it a wonderful night as well. Portion sizes are all spot on, you don't feel the need to over eat. Can share appetizers and have a main pasta to yourself and it's just enough for anyone.
We took our family to Oro. It was a wonderful experience. Sarah Elliott was so nice. She even asked what table we would like to sit at. Loved the atmosphere. The food was delicious. Definitely a place to go to for a Special Occasion. So many friendly people. Had a wonderful Birthday evening.
Enjoyed our first time at Oro! Talieya was a great server who was very knowledgeable and made sure we ordered just the right amount of food for our party of 4. We ordered the Panzanella salad and she suggested add burrata - no regrets there! We also had the meatballs and that sauce was to die for - add a side of sourdough to soak up the leftovers. Onto mains - we ordered 4 different pastas to share between us and none of them disappointed. We got the ravioli, spaghetti ragu, cacio e Pepe and the spicy rigatoni. Personal fave was the rigatoni as the pasta was so perfectly Al dente and the sauce was so so good. I like a little acid to cut the richness so added a squeeze of lemon to the cacio, but the guys enjoyed it as is. For dessert they provided a bday special for my husband and we ordered the sticky toffee pudding (this is not pictured because we all had to dig in immediately.) Excited to come back and try other dishes soon!
Was really excited to try this place! The mushroom toast, spaghetti, and ravioli were our favourite dishes. The scallops were definitely our least favourite (too watery and the flavours just weren’t there. They did take it off our bill so that was appreciated!). Our server stated pasta was meant to be family style and for the price, we thought the portion serving could be bigger. Their take on cheesecake was delicious. We will come back and support. Special shout out to our server, Danielle, and the manager Yazeed for the impeccable service!
The appetizer Arancici was delicious, the pasta was good and the atmosphere was amazing. Made a reservation for an anniversary would have been nice to have the booth to celebrate.
Thank you very much for a great evening out!
We had an incredible experience at ORO for my mom s 50th birthday party, and I can t recommend it enough! The manager, Hovig, was so easy to work with and incredibly accommodating, making sure every detail of our large reservation went smoothly. Despite the size of the party, the service was flawless. Julie, our waitress, was especially amazing so friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience even more enjoyable. The food and atmosphere were fantastic, and everything exceeded our expectations. A big thank you to the entire team for making this celebration unforgettable!
Drinks were good & server was very nice. However, service was extremely slow. We were offered bread for the table, which she made sound complimentary yet it ended up costing us $15 dollars The chicken entree was inedible & the gnocchi was extremely bland. Overall would not go back.
Food was quite tasty, we all enjoyed our pasta dishes and pizza. Restaurant is well-styled and elegant. Service was good but could be improved to offer a more refined experience to match the price point and auto-gratuity (our group was larger). We had to flag down a server to ask for another round of drinks as it wasn t noticed that several people had been finished their drinks for some time. We also asked for a dessert to come at the same time as the meals which was missed in coordination between servers. Not the end of the world, but we would ve preferred they checked with the table that everything was received and nothing else was needed before briskly walking away. Overall, decent place but service could be a bit more refined to match the experience they re going for.
*chefs kiss* Wow! One of my new favorites, not just in sherwood park but in all of Edmonton! Me and my husband cook a lot and find it hard to be super impressed at restaurants, we want somewhere that we cant cook better than! This place knocked our socks off. Amazing for vegetarian choices too. Our server, Talia, was super knowledgeable, had great reccomendations, knew enough to reccomend wine pairings (Ive been to wine restaurants that cant do that even..) and even gave us some celebratory champagne on the house when we shared we were celebrating a successful business season! Everything was to die for. HIGHLY reccomend the mushroom toast and the agnolotti with parsley butter. Will 100% be back!
What a great experience. This place is a vibe, service is top notch, the freshness of the food and quality is hands down unreal. They had a live D.J. the night we went in. It could be a bit loud, but the music was so good. Drinks were so good Highly recommend this place for a date night or out with a group.
The food, drinks, and ambience was just amazing! And our server was beyond amazing! She helped get us meals we wanted even though they weren t on their late night menu!
The food was delicious. Service was slow but its fine. We were engulfed in conversation. But for hungry customers, it might be a little issue. Service was good except one minor, server didnt let us know when last call was. But over all, the place was awesome. 100% recommend and definitely coming back. Actually coming back quite soon!!!
Vegetarian options: Pretty good
Oro was a great place to go! The vibe of the restaurant was great with such a relaxing and inviting feel to it. Our server Hannah made our experience even better! We went to oro because it was My twin sisters and my birthday. Hannah was so caring, attentive and on top of it! She was always happy to take pictures and she was a perfect balance of what you would expect from a wonderful and professional server. To her supervisor ..she seems so genuine and she is one of your top servers, don t let her go! She deserves a raise or even a promotion! To the chefs .. they did a wonderful job we got the bistecca steak, chicken Alfredo and lobster dish that was amazing! All of them were done perfect! This place was outstanding and is worth every penny.
Beautiful room with very nice furniture and place settings. Went for the $25 lunch special and found it to be overpriced for what you got. Food was okay but certainly nothing to write home about. Service was friendly but slow. Took about 90 minutes from sit down to getting our bill during a lunch hour where about half the tables were seated. Wouldnt recommend.
I do not recommend Oro for a larger group. We dined here with a party of 9. Our dishes came at uneven times. Multiple servers at our table made for inconsistent service and mistakes, including a guest receiving chicken alfredo when they ordered a vegetarian dish. The bill took over 30 minutes to receive.
I had heard nothing but great things about this restaurant, so I was genuinely excited to celebrate my friends birthday there last night. Unfortunately, my group and I left feeling very disappointed with our experience. Our reservation was for 7:30, but upon arrival, we were informed that our table wasn t quite ready and would be just a few more minutes. This turned into a 20-minute wait. Once seated, our group of 15 was attended to by two servers who were friendly, but there seemed to be a clear lack of communication between them. As a result, we were only approached a few times throughout the evening, and service felt inconsistent. It took at least 15 minutes before our drink order was taken, and then another 20 minutes before the drinks arrived. We were in a bit of a time crunch due to a second reservation at 10:30, so we asked if the server could take our food order promptly. Unfortunately, it took some time for the order to be placed. Afterward, it took an additional 45 minutes for our food to arrive, which felt excessive even considering that the restaurant was busy. While we acknowledged the high volume of diners, waiting 45 minutes for food was still frustrating. The portion sizes were smaller than expected for the price, and since we didn t start eating until around 9:30, many of us were still hungry afterward. Food was okay definitely not the best pasta dishI have ever had. The biggest frustration came when we waited nearly an hour for the bills. After our plates were cleared, we saw our server only once, when she delivered bills to a few people on one side of the table. We assumed she was bringing them to everyone, but close to 10:30, she asked if we wanted the rest of the bills. Given the time constraints, one person from our group took the entire bill so we could make our second reservation, though we ended up being 30 minutes late. As most of the party works in the service industry, we understand that busy nights can lead to delays, but this entire experience felt slow and frustrating. It was especially disappointing given the price point and the automatic 20% gratuity added for our large group. Overall, our experience didn t meet expectations, and we left feeling dissatisfied.
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and was so cute. The service was amazing and the waitresses are so nice. The food was very delicious however the portion size was criminal. Your paying a higher then average price for half the portion size of any other restaurant. $31 for like 7 ravioli is an insane price. Left still hungry and very disappointed.
Even from when I booked my reservation, and had mentioned it was a special night, they reached out to me to assist in preparation. The booth was just right and we chose a handful of dishes to share between the two of us. While the food is a bit pricey, it was beyond delicious. The leek and mushroom ravioli was definitely our favorite. Would recommend, especially for a special occasion.
We recently had our wedding supper at this restaurant, and they truly went above and beyond in every way! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly accommodating and made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. Every single team member was a joy to interact with friendly, professional, and attentive to all of our needs. The food was absolutely spectacular! Every dish was flavorful, and beautifully presented. The cocktails were equally impressive expertly crafted and delicious. It s rare to find a place that not only delivers exceptional food and drinks but also creates such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our wedding supper was one of the most hospitable and memorable dining experiences I have ever had, and I am beyond grateful. Highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or even just a fantastic meal!
We recently visited Oro Trattoria for the first time on a Friday night to celebrate my daughter-in-laws birthday, and it was a fantastic experience! The ambiance was lovely and set the perfect mood for our celebration. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met throughout the evening. Managers Hovig, Danilo, and Bogdaw went above and beyond, showing genuine care and support to make our dining experience truly memorable. Our server, Hanah, was exceptional, providing excellent service with a warm smile. The food selection was impressive, and we found it to be of great value. Everything we ordered was delicious, making it easy to share and enjoy as a group. To top it off, the DJ played a fantastic mix of music that really enhanced the atmosphere. We left feeling very happy and satisfied, promising ourselves that we would return soon. Thank you to the entire team at Oro Trattoria for making our celebration so special! Warm regards, Mauricio & Andrea
Atmosphere and service were amazing. My vegan meal was just ok. I make better at home. Hubby and friend had chicken Alfredo and Cesar salad. Loved it. Friend had the spicy sausage dish. She loved it. Very disappointed no bread was served and we were charged $10 for 4 pieces of burnt toasted bread. Vegetarian options: Wish there were vegan options on the menu.
10/10
Our server Hannah was absolutely amazing, my spouse has worked in the serving industry for over 10 years and Hannah was one of the best servers we ve ever seen, her energy, charisma and passion added to the experience. Food was absolutely amazing, my spouse ordered the Chicken Alfredo and finished the whole thing, you may not know her but she never finishes her meals and takes them home. I ordered the lobster and it didn t disappoint. It s been years since I ve had good lobster and I would 100% order it again, hats off to the Chef Dave and his team!! Atmosphere was phenomenal, the staff all looked happy to be here, seeing the camaraderie in the staff is very refreshing to see We will 100% be coming back and letting everyone know about this place
We celebrated our anniversary here. It was perfection. The food was incredible, everything was perfectly prepared. The drinks were delicious. The atmosphere was great. Lauren was an attentive and knowledgeable server. The DJ was the best I ve ever heard. We ll be back!
Our birthday reservation started an hour late because the table was full, I feel like this could have been controlled better and it got in the way of plans for after the dinner so quite inconvenient.
Had dinner here and Hannah was our server. Was super bubbly and helpful regarding the menu. Highly recommend the Bramble cocktail but all the drinks we had were great. We did find the pasta portion wasn t enough to fill us up but it was still delicious. Would definitely come again!
The food was really good! Each of us got different pasta dishes and each had such good flavours! The service could have been better. Other than that, it was great!
Best service by our girl Moe, she s the best
Overpriced for average food.
Stopped in Here on a whim. Absolutely delicious food Wonder service. Comfortable atmosphere. You get what you pay for.
First timing visiting ORO and it was an incredible experience. The atmosphere and energy were next level and the food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend visiting this location. Will definitely be back!
Wow! Outstanding!! Great taste and service.
Third time to Oro. Excellent food, drink, and service. Highly recommend the osso bucco.
We celebrated our anniversary at Oro, and what an incredible experience. We love a good atmosphere, and a fine dining experience. As the door closed behind us, we felt like we d entered a New York speak easy. From the hand crafted cocktails, to the thoughtful wine and food pairings, this far exceeded our expectation of a Sherwood Park restaurant. Kudos to all those involved to create this world class experience!!
The entire experience was rewarding. I can say that I have found my favorite place in the city. good food and excellent service. The prices are fair for the quality of their products. Very good musical selection and incredible atmosphere. I will definitely return
Excellent food service and atmosphere. Pricey. That may be the price you have to pay for locally sourced top quality ingredients and all the work they did building the space. But still pricey. Food
We tried Oro for the first time yesterday. One of the reasons it took so long is it isnt well advertised that they have Gluten Free options!! You have to ask your server, but they have 2 gluten free pastas that they can add any sauce to, and their sharable meals can easily be modified to gluten free!! It was very exciting to try a new place. Our server Taieya was very knowledgeable about gluten free and took extra precautions with my meal. We tried the Osso Bucco which is on their shareable menu. Definitely a new favorite!! The risotto mixed with the red wine gravy is truly to die for!
Amazing
Too loud. I couldn t hear anything that my partner said. Food was average for the expensive price. I do not recommend this rest at all. Super expensive for the poor service (this was the WORST PART). I m not coming back NEVER
Very noisy, not good for a date night at all. Food is average, nothing special - we took prosciutto for starter and osso bucco to share . Portions are small. My apperoll was watery. Food : 3/5
Started with the mushroom toast - very creamy and a great mushroom flavor. We split the Prosciutto pizza and the spicy rigatoni. Pizza was good a little to much cheese for our liking, rigatoni was delicious- sausage was nice and spicy, the sauce wasnt so balanced it out (we did add chili flakes to add spice to the sauce) Dessert had the Madelaine toffee pudding-very good, Tiramisu was also good and a very large portion. ***Music was quite loud, so at times, it was hard to hear our conversation. There were 4 of us.
Great atmosphere and lovely staff. The scallops were our favourite.
Our waitress was amazing! Most of the food was solid, though pricey for what it was. The restaurant was beautiful though. Such a great space!
@oro.yeg (All Drinks 20% off, 9-11pm, AFTER DARK, ONLY on Friday) inside @locaqualitymarket | 340 Baseline Road, Sherwood Park | Scratch-Made Dishes | Craft Cocktails + Exquisite Wine Making sure to ask for extra smoke (Smokey Tommy mocktail) Another date night place in sherwood park To get the best corner, they have an online booking system. My favorite food in here is the TRUFFLE PARMESAN FRITES and pizza. I gotta say, their pizza was really good, if you like chewy crust. Hours (according to website) 11:30 AM 10 PM Friday 12am Tue + Wed (Closed)
Updated Review: Upon the feedback from this establishment I take back the review for the understanding and importance of providing correct representation of where food comes from. Not only was it well written but shows great character traits from the Manager. I will definitely share this and looking forward to the wonderful work your restaurant will do in the future Cheers
A lovely place for a special dinner out. We were a group of seniors and had a fantastic experience. Great service, especially considering that the restaurant had only been open for a few weeks! The staff were very attentive and the food was really good. Ive been to Italy and I could easily imagine this restaurant being in Florence! We ordered a variety of dishes and everyone was happy with their meals. I had oysters, lobster and foie gras. The wine menu is very nice with good selections in various price categories. I cant wait to return for another great evening. Wheelchair accessibility: Took a wheelchair in and set it aside to sit in a regular chair for dinner. Staff were very accommodating.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. The chef came over to our table to chat when the server relayed my compliments on the food! Parking: There is plenty of free parking and L Oca Market (Oro is located within the market) is very easy to enter and exit onto the main road. Wheelchair accessibility: Our friend uses a wheelchair and we were happy to see accessibility parking right at the front door.
The place is beautiful, no doubt there. Service is attentive and professional but the food is not worth the expense. Its something you can get from a basic Italian restaurant and to be completely honest youd get something better. Where the pasta is actually cooked properly, the meat is actually tender, and the amazing flavour promised actually comes through. It was disappointing all around and unfortunately I dont have any desire to come back as I can get something wildly better for less than 150 dollars.
Just enjoyed a relaxing dinner. The service was stellar (thank you Hannah!). The food was delicious; fresh ingredients, innovative entrees. The tiramisu rivaled what we had in Florence!! Pricey but certainly worth the splurge. Food
Love the food and the amazing service! You should definitely give this place a try. You wont regret it!
Amazing food, but server wasnt very knowledgeable on the menu, we had a nut allergy but luckily spotted the pistachio on the menu or else we would have had an incident. Be warned, if you have 6 or more people, youll get hit with a 22% automatic gratuity.
Absolutely amazing food and service. Hannah was personal and friendly and at the same time gave service of a fine dining experience without the pompous. She knows how to read her clientele well. The Alfredo was by far the best Alfredo Ive ever had...and Ive tried many variations. My partners pasta dish (cant remember what it was called) was even better. Top notch to the chef and his team. Front of house staff were all friendly and efficient. Definately on my list of go-to restaurants now. Thank you, Hannah and Tony, for the excellent experience. We will be back!
So happy that we decided to walk in dine in ORO! The food was amazing, really enjoyed the suggestions from our amazing server Hannah. She was so awesome. The chicken Alfredo was 10/10. Cant wait to come back! I hope to be served by Hannah again soon.
I had such an amazing experience last week eating at ORO! Our server Hanna was fantastic. She listened and accommodated all of our dietary restrictions and allergies. Would come back for the aranchinis for sure. Pricey but worth it. See you soon ORO
Absolutely delicious pasta The tiramisu is also fantastic Food
Outstanding!!!!
Hannah was fantastic, helpful with suggestions, very knowledgeable of the menu. She was super friendly. Really enjoyed our evening, the food & the service! Parking: Great parking.
An incredible Anniversary dinner night out! Our server Danielle was exceptional, cocktails were unique and soooooo tasty. We had the Panzanella salad, Scallop Crudo, Ragu E Spaghetti, Spicy Rigatoni, finished with Japanese Cheescake! Bravo Oro!!!!
Had the best birthday dinner at Oro! The bruschetta was delicious and the espresso martini was one of my favourite drinks. Sarah E was so generous is setting up beautiful flowers and seating us at a wonderful table. Great experience!!!
Chef Tony Tipping is the best! His eye for detail and bold flavour choices are like no other. I always look forward to seeing what he will come up with next.
Came here to celebrate our birthdays, food is quite overpriced, small portion and mediocre at best. We ordered bruschetta, it comes in 2 pieces but the server didnt let us know, so we had to order another piece as there was 3 of us. This i did enjoy. The prosciutto pizza was bland and soggy. Next was the ragu spaghetti which wasnt very good, it made me feel instantly icky and basically ruin the rest of my night as it didnt set well. Lastly was the bistecca and we enjoyed this, lots of flavour and cooked well. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu but not as attentive as she should of been. We waited over 20mins when we finish our meal before our server came back that instead of ordering desert we asked for the bill. 4 dishes plus 2 cocktails and a Shirley temple cost 190 before tip. I would expect the food quality to be of that of a high end restaurant which this place failed to deliver.
Had a lovely treat while my cousins were in town, we went to Oro Trattoria for a light late lunch and our crafty server Hannah recommended a delicious lime drink, and the Potato and Leek Ravioli was a favorite at our table. Superb dining room experience as well, with ambience and seating to fit its secluded charm. I hope to see Hannah again soon and try the rest of the drink menu!
Ok this place is AMAZING. I don t have any photos because I only thought to take them after I was done the meal because it was so good. The atmosphere was bolstered by the fact that the service was equally as amazing as the food!! I came for Dinner with a friend and Hannah made the experience much more enjoyable as she was quick to tend to whatever needs we had. I highly recommend the Tiramisu!! I will be sure to be back in the future!
Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish. The delicious food, impeccable service, and charming ambiance made for a memorable experience. Our server, Talieya, was just incredible. She gave great the most stupendous service, so enjoyable! The food! Let me tell you about the food! The detail that went into preparing these dishes was incredible. You could feel the back of house passion that went into every aspect! My experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. We cant wait to come back and try more things on the menu!
Wow! Just wow! I haven t had such an amazing food experience for a long time. This is the perfect place for a special evening. It s not cheap but your mind will be blown away! Service was 5/5. Taleiya was our server and she had just right amt of friendliness, super attentive. Only critique is we wanted more time between our appies but that did not end up happening. Food was 6/5. It exceeded our expectations! We started with the Burrata and the Caesar. That burrata was SO tasty. Highly recommend! The Caesar was the best I ve had in years. Only critique is the croutons were way too dry. They are made in house (everything is made from scratch) so try making them crunchy on the outside yet slightly soft on the inside!! That being said I highly recommend. Next we had the Vongole and the Ravioli. Wow! Highly recommend both dishes. The vongole had just the right amt of clams in the dish. If you like truffle and mushrooms, get the ravioli. You won t be disappointed. We wanted to try dessert but we were too full. You could share one appie, then u might have room for dessert. And if u were going to try just one appie get the burrata! Side note, they gave us the wrong dish but allowed us to keep it so we walked away with a free dinner. The dish was the cacio e pepe and it was also very tasty!
Fantastic place and beautiful music and ambience. Food and cocktails was delicious and the service was quick. Didn t have to wait long for our food or drinks. Is a little on the pricier side but it s a pretty fancy restaurant. Going again next week Not sure why people have left 1 star with no comments . Definitely not a one star place at all..
We came for a late dinner, and were the last table. Due to this a few of the chefs came out to speak to us personally, which was so unexpected and so unbelievably amazing!! The bartender came up to ask what we liked to curate a cocktail for us! Our server Danielle was so personable, knowledgeable and lovely. Portions were unexpectedly large given the caliber of the restaurant! Everything was so delicious, my favourite was sabre fish!
I went with a friend to checkout Oro for dinner. Great staff, atmosphere, food, and drinks. We started with the Prosciutto de parma and it was fresh tasting and I loved the shaved melon. Very tasty! We also started with the polpetta al forno, very flavourful meatballs and yummy sauce. For mains we shared the spicy rig, and prosciutto pizza. It was excellent. We had amazing service. The manager Bogdan was so friendly and great to talk to. We tried some of his drinks he had created for the menu, and they were delicious.
Sherwood Park has been in need of a place like this. Incredible intimate atmosphere with excellent food. Our server made it clear that we should be trying a few things. We started with sharing the Polpetta, then ordered our own pasta dishes (both were amazing) then ended with sharing the Nova Scotia Lobster. All of the cocktails were unique and delicious - with a large menus of alcohol free cocktails. Don t go expecting to get stuffed. Go expecting to taste some of the best food and drinks you have ever had. Can t wait to be back!
Wonderfully appointed and decorated restaurant The green is to die for. Especially with the lighting Chef tony delivers with every dish especially the nduja pizza and vongole Food : 5/5
The food is good but not fabulous. Very pricey. Have had much tastier and better portion sizes from other authentic Italian restaurants in Sherwood Park. We are not going there again. Not recommending it. Both of us had stomach issues afterwards.
Wife and I had a great supper here, we had Talia as our waitress and she was great! We had the mushroom toast for an appetizer and Talia recommended the ravioli and osso bucco as our mains. And that was the right choice because they were amazing! We don t have many chances to get out and I couldn t have asked for a better experience!
Food quality is great, everything tasted fresh and using quality ingredients Had oysters that were super, foie gras, handmade vongole pasta and osso bucco. Finished the night with tiramisù. As a snob for tiramisù I must say that theirs was done right and I was impressed. Hannah, our server was great with her recommendations and attentiveness. Plates were cleared right away and fresh cutlery was given. We were celebrating an anniversary so we were given some bubbly on the house which was very nice. Expect to spend $150-$175 per person depending on drinks. Not a cheap meal, but definitely a gastronomic experience
Our recent experience was beyond bad. We were a party of seven. While the food was okay, it was definitely not worth the money. The dishes were very overpriced. The bison was chewy, and the lobster dish was just spaghetti with lobster. The service was slow. The cherry on top was the bill. We were charged $5 for balsamic vinegar on a salad that one of us ordered! It was just a drizzle and should have been included with the salad. Additionally, we were charged extra for some shredded truffle, adding $6 to each of our bills. The gratuity was also a surprise: a 22% tip was included, whereas its typically 18% for parties of eight. For such terrible service, 22% was too much. It took our server 40 minutes to bring us the bills. This one star is for the bartenders. They made great cocktails and were professional and service-oriented. Overall, the experience left a bitter aftertaste. We will never go there again and would not recommend it to anyone.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is beautiful. We made reservations a week in advance although they weren t needed as the restaurant was pretty quiet. Our server was lovely and very attentive. The food prices ranged from $20-$200+ depending on the cut of meat you order. We ordered the tenderloin (~$60) and I d say it was just okay. The flavour did lack without a sauce. We ordered the chimichurri which made it much tastier. The salad that came with the order was quite small and didn t have much dressing. Their frozen margarita machine wasn t working and they didn t have two of the desserts listed on the menu so we opted to skip dessert and just grab something from the market. Overall I liked the vibe but would probably just order a burger or chicken tenders next time as I don t think the cut of meat was worth the price.
Really enjoyed our evening. I had the osso bucco which was really good, nice texture and flavour. Hunter s chicken was good too, as well as the burrata. We will be back to try the pasta next time!
We had Julie as our server who was absolutely fabulous! Her service enhanced the food, and made the experience why I rated it 5/5. Everything wonderfully presented and fresh. Please try the mushroom toast!!!
I drove for 2 hrs to this restaurant, I wasn t expecting this food , service is ok , food nothing special, poor quality steak . , drinks nothing special. I won t came back. Nice kitchen, realy nice please .
Such a beautiful restaurant and the food is so yummy. The brioche with the foie gras pate was to die for! I also recommend the pizza with the nduja! I will for sure be back!
We came to restaurant and felt like its overly hyped. Writing few words in Italian doesn t make it look cool, food wasn t no where near good, drinks were okay its just the place that u go see plus you get judged by the colour of your skin by servers
My husband and I were excited to try out this restaurant. Like everything else, its over rated. But the service was excellent. Our waitress was really really great. The mushroom toast, I could eat everyday. My hunter chicken was dry and bland. Wouldnt order again. My husband had the oso bucco. The meat was great. Everything else was mushy. It was just ok.
Had a fantastic time with my friends had a great dinner ...it was a birthday dinner.....
Had the most fabulous evening. Wonderful cocktails and delicious food. The staff was so awesome and loved the ambulance. Felt like I was on holidays!
Really enjoyed our meal here! Nice to have great food in our own backyard rather than feeling the need to drive into Edmonton. Don t miss the mushroom toast and the mezcal cocktails!
Five star restaurant! We had the most amazing dinner thanks to Talias incredible recommendations (I needed a cigarette after the Rigatoni Rettangolo :-) She was fabulous as was Matt and Bodgan! A beautiful interior, simple yet very tasteful (loved the lighting fixtures). For any occasion, I highly recommend Oro for an incredible experience!
The restaurant is nice, but this is where the buck stops. $50 for noodles with some lobster scraps just isn t acceptable in 2024 - people expect value for their money. I could have gone to SPK for a better meal. Very disappointed.
Absolutely beautiful place. The food and service were amazing. Some of the best drinks I ve ever had and an unforgettable dinning experience. We came on Friday night and it was the best restaurant experience I ve ever had. Chef tony is a true talent. Talia was an amazing server and the drinks were top notch. Absolutely will be going here for all special occasions moving forward. Cannot thank Oro enough for an amazing night.
Went here last Friday and its the greatest dining experience Ive had in a long time. The food was absolutely amazing, the drinks were great. I recommend the Spartacus drink if you like tequila. We had taliyea for a server and she had great recommendations for pairing our wine with the dish we were eating. I got the Osso Bucco and It was amazing. Didnt need a knife to cut through the meat, it was so tender. It was a massive portion too. The decor suits it as its a high end restaurant. I could go on and on about all the great things here. Its a restaurant that Ill definitely be going back to in the future with my gf Kennedy. Cant recommend it enough
