Sunny Side Up is Sherwood Park’s newest breakfast establishment. Based inside the New Asian Village, they are the first co-sharing kitchen of its kind. Sunny Side Up breakfast menu is available from 7am - 2pm and the New Asian Village menu is available from 11am - 10pm. Large party/corporate or event Pick-up and Delivery orders require time to put together. Our kitchen estimates 30-40 minutes to prepare, package and check the orders for accuracy and your satisfaction.
It’s really good. I had a great time enjoying the ambience, food, and service. The decor really reminds me of home
We were in the area and decided to try this place out. Good food and service. We had the early morning (before 9:00 a.m.) breakfast special for 9.99 and the coffee for 1.99. Good basic breakfast. Restaurant, kitchen and bathroom were clean and tidy.
First coffee was cold, waited until my meal showed up then requested a hot cup (which had to be brewed, I sort of understand as it was a 2pm breakfast order). Toast didn't arrive until I was almost done the meal) and cold too one buttered one not. I wasn't offered another cup. I dined by myself and there was one other table for 2 in the restaurant. She knocked off a few bucks off the bill. The machine to pay was hard not to tip so I selected 10%. Whilst waiting at the front to pay I repaired their notify bell, then I paid and left. I wouldn't recommend and I won't be going back. Paul S
So pleasantly surprised by this experience. I had noticed the sign changed at New Asiain Village, but I didn't realize what they had done. Adding a breakfast option of both classic breakfast and Indian fusion was a wonderful surprise. We both had Indian skillets, and they were excellent. Hot, fresh, very tasty. Our server was very pleasant. It wasn't fast, but we weren't in a rush, so I was totally fine with it. Not slow either - but probably about 10 minutes of longer to wait than your average breakfast, but that was probably due to what we ordered :) My only possibly critique was that the lighting is really bright, but that's the only thing I can think of as a negative. It was great!! We look forward to returning.
Service was amazing! Came in for breakfast. Food came out with good portions for what you pay for. Expect a little wait for your food as it is made fresh and with great care. I definitely would recommend you pop in and give them a try!!!!
Traditional western breakfast yet Indian fusion breakfast menu too. Kids menu, younger than 12 gets free ice cream. Free mini toys for kids to take home. Good coffee and Hashbrowns All meals come with complimentary fruits for free. Refreshing
I just had an awesome breakfast experience at Sunny Side Up Breakfast inside New Asian Village Sherwood Park this morning. My skillet meal came sizzling hot and more than expected - lots of large bits of sausage, onions, peppers and hash browns smothered with generous cheesy goodness. The eggs were perfect as ordered. The sourdough toast was both crispy and chewy. I'm even impressed with the coffee quality, which is so rare. The service was cheerful and friendly. Even though quite busy when we came, we never waited long for anything. Kudos to the staff and chefs here! I'll be back for more.
Had the spicy chicken bowl. It came on a hot cast iron platter. That is actually better to keep the hash browns hot and crispy, just the way I like it. Because of my own health reasons, I had to cancel the hollandaise sauce :( . Still it was very good without it. Not spicy enough for my taste, but for the masses, it's probably the right level. So for the regular person, with the hollandaise sauce on it, it would be just superb. I'm looking forward to trying other fusion breakfasts here. Edit: I went back to try the butter chicken scrambler. It was hash browns onions and cheese topped with butter chicken. It worked very well. This was also on a hot cast iron platter. The amount of chicken was impressive. Probably double the amount of any chicken and pasta dish you would pay $20+. This was only $14.99.
Amazing food! The portions were huge. The staff is also so nice. Good vibes overall.
The portions were generous for the price, however I did not know this was a fusion place. So I had ordered the spicy chicken breakfast skillet, it was good minus the fact that it threw me off when the eggs came scrambled and the chicken had an Indian flair to it. I did not enjoy the chicken paired with the hollandaise sauce. Not sure if I d try again.
We ordered a juice since our table side water cups were disgusting, then our juice came in equally dirty cups with pieces of food on the inside of the glasses. Our food came at an unreasonable amount of time and we never received our toast. The waitress was nice but it was a waste of time and money. Would not recommend
The Best Breakfast place in Sherwood Park! Monika is so nice here there also is an Indian Restaurant called New Asian Village , TFC fried chicken & the Food here is amazing! Food
Fantastic food! The French toast was amazing, and the bacon cooked to perfection! The butter chicken skillet looked good, and my husband enjoyed it! Great breakfast spot in Sherwood Park!
Cold food. Good egg bene but cold. Burned sausage for countey skillet and very oiley. Not enough for portion. Spent over 80$ for 2 asults and one toddler. Love the one lady who offered stickers and playdoh. service was extremely slow. Waiting over 50 mins for 3 dishes.
Time of visit: 1130am re: atmosphere. Very quiet: great for those who don t like crowds. Eggs benny: Sunnyside & Samosa were delicious! Chai is homemade.
Soft Opening. They have a long way to go. The lady who appeared to be the manager was micromanaging her staff. Music was not fitting of a breakfast restaurant, more pop or club than chill or easy listening. The food took 45 mins to come out with only five 4tops seated and two 2tops. You can tell they are not experienced in the breakfast world but rather the dinner as this is their attempt to make more money for the space? Not sure. The manager had put her belly on our table, reached across our faces without saying excuse me, couldnt walk around with a coffee pot but instead told the scattered servers to do it. Good luck.
Great surprise for brunch wonderful flavors they offer traditional breakfast as well as some wonderful tasty twists. A must try
Great place to come for breakfast and lunch! Monika is awesome and this is reflected through the quality of her food and service. Would definitely come again! Left with our plates clean
We decided to try Sunny Side. The service was abysmal. I had to ask 3 times for a glass for water. Water was warm. Coffee very strong and not hot. However the food (when it finally arrived) was great. Eggs done perfectly. However one person in our group received cold eggs. Unfortunately , I wouldn t recommend wasting your time here or money here.
Tasty food with great prices. The fluffiest pancakes I have had :) the breakfast poutine was really good as well. Great service and I love the new renovations. Monica the owner is amazing. Thanks for adding such a great place to Sherwood Park! Food
It was the worst breakfast experience I have ever had. I brought family, visiting from the States as the reviews looked good. Three separate waitresses asked if we wanted coffee with cream or milk. After 20minutes the coffee came but they forgot the cream. We waited at least 45 minutes for our below average order came. My eggs were well done, not medium and the English muffin was hard. I won t be going back and wouldn t recommend.
Had our second visit for breakfast and it was great once again. Plentiful food, done as we requested. We shall definitely be back to try the many other breakfast choices.
We were met at the front by the owner/manager Monica in a professional and friendly manner. She came over to chat on multiple occasions and let us try a few things that weren t on the menu and just overall made our first time at Sunny Side Up a really enjoyable experience. Thank you Monica!
My omelet and shredded hashbrowns were awesome and perfectly cooked. The negative part is that the waitress focused on only giving 1 piece of toast at a time due to the many starving people in Canada, as she stated. She said she would bring more toast if we finished the one she gave us. Very stressful and negative interaction, not comfortable at all.
Awsome food and service
Excellent experience . The serving staff ensured that everything was just right!
Such a great little place. Huge tea selection and even options with Asian fusion. A great way to start the day
Just had an amazing breakfast here. The food was hot, delicious and plentiful. All for a fair price. Mani was our server today. She has a bright smile and so friendly. Food
Looking for a place in Sherwood park that has a made-to-order fresh breakfast? Sunny side up offers you a range of alternatives for a simple breakfast, reasonably priced. We had the eggs and sausage which were very good. Two choices of potatoes shredded or cubed and fresh toast. Also were provided with a plate of fresh fruit. Good coffee. Very very clean restaurant with a personable pleasant server. Worth trying it out. We will return.
I arrived and ordered the breakfast special. I waited 25 minutes to receive my order. The service was slow. The employees are very nice and friendly. Something must have been off with the poor service. I was not impressed with my food. To be fair, I should try their more specialized entrees. I will give this place one more try.
Great breakfast selections. Wonderful staff.
