Service and food were excellent! Definitely will be coming back to this location!
We enjoyed a wonderful evening dinner celebrating an anniversary. The service was very attentive as well as personable. Steaks made exactly as ordered. Capped off the evening with the Mocha Cake. So delicious.
Went for dinner with a good girlfriend and her husband. They had crab cakes to start and remarked on how fluffy they were. I had the wedge salad with blue cheese for the first time and it was very good! My good girlfriend is Vegetarian and there were unfortunately limited options for her, but I do understand, being a steakhouse and all...I had the prime rib Oscar, very tasty. Our third party had ribs and fries, a super generous portion and took the rest home. Prices have definitely increased over the years, it's been a hot minute since I've been to a Keg! But I mean, so have the prices of everything else these days! My friend enjoyed their cocktails as well. Our server was kind, the atmosphere doesn't take anything away from the experience, I did appreciate that we didn't have to yell at each other or lean in due to loud music. A WIDE variety of items on their menu were gluten free and well marked which was super nice! It was pretty chill! Thanks Keg 😉
It was the magnificent lobster event - or whichever superlative was used to ice the cake - unbeknownst to me or my companion. So we indulged. And it was good. Quite good. But it was the Parmesan onion rings that transcended. All washed down with a decent rosé, the diet Pepsi of the cognoscenti. The staff was excellent, kudos to all.
Good from the moment we walked in...the entire wait staff is outstanding. Our waitress, Jordan was spectacular. Great atmosphere. Great quality choices with good prices. It's also located near everything!! We had a wedge salad, fresh bread, Prime Rib Classic and Prime Rib sandwich. And Jordan wisely suggested the Creme Brule for dessert. Excellent all the way around. I recommend highly.
Our server, Jason, deserves top remarks for his friendliness, professionalism, and keeping us full and happy. I felt like he was frequently, yet silently, checking to make sure our whole table was taken care of. From start to finish, I felt pampered, and he was a great server. The food was also top-notch. I had New York striploin, rare, and was very impressed with the consistent doneness and excellent seasoning. I felt like I could cut it with a spoon. My baked potato was thoroughly moist, no dry spots, and heaped with a generous serving of sour cream and chives arranged for a pleasant presentation. I would have appreciated more vegetables, but let's be honest - I'm there for the A+ steak. Excellent all around, highly recommended.
The Keg is our top place to go for a fancy night out. And we especially hit the Keg when family is in town and has a craving for a good steak. I liked the ambience of this space and the waiting area. Our booth felt tight, with two kids squashed in and 4 adults it just didn’t have the leg room I would have enjoyed. They do have booster seats and high chairs. We always start with the 3 cheese special butter to go with the fresh bread. So good! And this visit we had the pistachios crusted salmon ($40) with the garlic mash side - I pretty much always order this dish but today I found it a little cooler than I would have liked, the mashed potatoes just weren’t as hot as I like even though the plate itself was quite warm. Salmon is always tasty and I always crave more pistachios on top. We also tried the peppercorn New York steak ($50), which well just isn’t our jam. Too spicy for the kids and the huge peppercorns are just too overpowering, but hey it’s good to try something new right. We did quite like the cauliflower mash side dish and this was probably the best thing of the night. The kids had the chicken strips and fries($15), I quite like that a serving of veggies comes out first for the kids to munch on. The rest of the table had a full rack of ribs and a steak. Both were enjoyed and satisfactory. Drinks were had a gin basil lemonade ($10) - refreshing and light, very mild gin flavor. And a strawberry daiquiri- punchy and sweet. The staff and service were good. Food came at a relatively good pace as well.
Went out for my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend, immediately walked in and got to our table and it was friendly and clean. Our server was so sweet and she made sure everything got out to us hot and fast. The baked garlic shrimp were SO good and of course the steak is always amazing, my boyfriend got the keg burger and l've never seen him eat something so fast. I also got a lovely wine recommendation from our server and it was absolutely delicious (red pinot noir archway). For a saturday night at prime dinner rush the service was amazing. I'll always come to this Keg for important events. 10/10!
Great place for getting together to celebrate. Good food and atmosphere. Had a few issues when trying to split the bill.
we had Tamara as our waitress very pleasant !! and gave us extremely good service , the food was great and we did not feel rushed at all.
Great steak house
Always Great
An excellent restaurant in Sherwood Park. We are so lucky to have such a good big restaurant chain in our little hamlet. Good food. Great atmosphere.
Top service and quality from this location. Welcoming and kind and attentive staff. Top notch food. I will definetely be back.
Such great ambiance and food
Great steaks.
Parker, our server, currently working for his masters degree but seems to ALREADY have a PhD in Service. If you have the privilege of having him as your server you wont be disappointed in how he takes care of you. Thanks for a great night!
Chicago style steak is amazing
We went to The Keg for our anniversary supper. The food was wonderful! Their 20oz rib steak is one of the best Ive ever had. Perfectly done. Our server Chivonne was warm and friendly. Thanks again for a great evening.
Great family dinner on my wife s birthday. We had a great table for eight which was situated so we had a very private space. All of the various steak dinners were cooked perfectly and the Billy Miner Mud pie for dessert was a huge slice suitable for two to share. Nobody left hungry. I would definitely go there again.
The staff is so amazing and the food was amazing. While in Edmonton I went 3 times in 2 weeks. Enough said I guess. The bartender is the kindest and so helpful. The steak was always perfect and so tender. Thank you.
This was the fattest ribeye Ive had at any restaurant. Also they cook their steak on the rare side, so order accordingly. Service is amazing as most of the Keg chains.
Awesome meal as always!!
Food is always great. They have options for vegans and vegetarians.
As usual the food was delicious The Billy miner pie of course was a great end to the meal!! It was very nice to sit in the lounge and not have loud music playing like at many of the other lounges attached to restaurants Food : 4/5
For a supposedly fine dining restaurant, the food was average, and service seemed overworked.
7 oz Filet. Was well done and when on the plate looked like an overdone pork chop. Waitress agreed that steak was certainly not cooked as ordered and offered to cook a replacement. I refused saying by the time the steak is cooked and brought to Me my spouse will have finished her meal. Typical response from us unrude Canadians. Total bill was $110.00. Oh, they deducted the 9.00 glass of wine my spouse had and the cup of green tea that I had. Total for my plate alone was in excess of $65.00. Will never set foot in another Keg. Ever. Be careful what you ask for at this place.
the waitress Hana was one of the best we have had, very knowledgeable of the specials and food, and she was cheerful and very attentive.
Been quite a while since we have been to the Keg. Food and service was excellent as we remembered!
After all these years it s nice to know you can still get a great meal at The Keg. YaMan!
Always a great meal at the keg.

The first night I ate at the Keg was interesting when I had four different people serving me. Jack on his first day after training, knocked it out of the park serving drinks for the restaurant and taking care of me. On the second night, I had Marin as my server and she gave me good attention and did a very good job. Very good atmosphere and very good food with a excellent staff. The keg is a place I will keep coming to.
Incredible service and food. Very pleased with our whole experience.
Food was great and Jenelle who was serving us was awesome! We had a great time.
This was my first time at this location. Great addition to the Keg brand. The food was excellent, as expected. The staff are very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Great place for a dinner out.
We recently dined at The Keg in Sherwood Park, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Our server, Jonathon, truly made the evening memorable with his attentive and friendly service. He and the manager Toni went above and beyond, addressing a minor menu inconvenience by offering us a discount, which was a thoughtful touch that we greatly appreciated. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxing dinner. The food was, as always, delicious each dish perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. Overall, we couldn t be happier with our evening at The Keg. Great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming ambiance make it a must-visit. Highly recommend!
Mediocre food for an astronomical cost. Save your $$$ and throw a steak on your own BBQ.
Enjoyed an anniversary supper. Great service and good food. Thank you.
Solid 4
I recently dined at The Keg, and the experience was outstanding, with perfectly cooked steaks and attentive service that made the evening special. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both celebrations and casual dinners. Overall, I highly recommend The Keg for anyone seeking delicious food and a great atmosphere. Well, here it is... We got seated. Ordered drinks... we received bread on a dirty plate.. I tried to flag down a couple of waitresses, but no luck.. finally flagged one, and she apologized, and a new one was brought out. We ordered dinner. I asked what veggies come with Salmon, and she told me carrots and beans. I said no beans, please, only carrots. We received our meals and I got broccoli with my salmon. Im not sure what miscommunication happened in the kitchen. How do you go from Carrots to broccoli. I did ask why I got broccoli? The manager answered, Thats what comes with salmon. I said oh the waitress said it comes with carrots and beans. She said to me she is new. She was very short with me and didnt want to have a conversation with me. Not very professional. I did receive my carrots. The food was delicious. My friend asked for another piece of bread to go with his prime rib, and the waitress forgot about it. He had to ask for it again as she forgot. My husband ordered black coffee. Black coffee $4.50 a cup.? Really?? We received a bill. We werent given a free coffee or free glass of pop.. We didnt get to see the manager at all. It was truly disappointing. My tip should be given to the kitchen as the food was delicious tonight.. .. Restaurant is very dark and it was very warm in there Tonight.
Hostess Kira was able to accommodate our group of 10 to a beautiful quiet area in the restaurant on very short notice. Our server Justin, was efficient and friendly. Food was delicious, especially the steaks which were cooked to perfection. Thank you for an enjoyable evening.
Service was amazing, food was even better.
Amazing service and great dinner! Food came quickly, especially for how busy they were on a Friday night.
The Keg is always reliable with respect to good quality food, cooked well with great service. Cant go wrong.
Special night out didnt go as expected. Great quality of food, but the kitchen definitely suffered. We got the scallops and bacon, and they didnt tell us the skewer and plate were piping hot, so my partner grabbed both to get them off and scalded his fingers. The scallops had no seasonings, so just plain scallops wrapped in bacon with seafood sauce on the side. Also got the lobster special appetizer, lobster over cooked and rubbery, which was a letdown. Got a steak medium rare came out more blue rare than medium rare. By the time the waitress came around to check our meals, my partner was done his, and I was half done mine. They offered to recook my steak, but I wasnt waiting as my partner was already done, and I was half done. Partner got the blackened chicken; Im not sure where the seasoning or the blackening was. Mashed potato looked more like a puree just mush slapped on a plate. Both our veggies had basically no seasoning, just veggies blanched and buttered. By the time the manager came to check on the issue, it was just to confirm they would comp 1 desert... $11 desert for all the issues. I get that it was a Friday at dinner, so it was busy, but there were still a lot of food problems that were very disappointing. Also, overheard the table beside us had raw chicken wings.
Great service very relaxing environment
Very impressed with food and service, will definitely go back
Pretty consistent and reliable Keg. Very good food, great friendly and knowledgeable service staff, front of house manager stopped by to check in. We can always count on the Keg for a great meal. Good keto choices especially with the cauliflower mash. Prime rib always cooked perfect.
Nice and comfy place, the food is really good.
I cant complain about the service. Always great and friendly. Only 3 stars for atmosphere. Its just blah. Nothing special. One complaint I do have, I had a reservation for 6:30. Anniversary. 43rd. A couple walked in. No reservation. Seated before us. We got seated a few minutes later. The first thing my wife said....the tables not ready. It was a table for 4. I had reservations for 2. Why reserve? Im pretty sure the walk in couple got our reserved table. Do better for reserved patrons. Because they committed to eat there. Otherwise.......the food was good.
Always a consistent and fantastic experience.
, atmosphere is elegant and comfortable , servicefrom the bartender was prompt and professional, food was perfectly cooked , unfortunately the only thing that was cold was my mid rare steak .hence why I had to change the rating . I was offered a complimentary desert or to have the steak remade but being a Saturday I wasnt going to wait the time it would take to have a new meal made , couldnt eat more than 1/4 of my steak , truly disappointed... I still tipped well because service was excellent... quite confused as to how my steak was less than room temperature and the mashed potatoes and vegetables were perfect .... and Im a chef (executive) so again I cant understand how this would happen at the keg of all places ...
The food was delicious and service was great, we had Jason as our waiter, he was so attentive, and friendly and made dinner special.
We love coming to this keg! Amazing food, amazing service every time!
Came in for a nice sit down dinner with my wife after a long day, greeting staff was nice, was seated. Server was nice, polite, little slow but maybe it was busy. Ordered our meal. 20 ounce rib eye with a lobster tail on the side, when the meal finally showed up the steak ordered medium rare came out medium to medium well. Was unable to get servers attention, flagged down another worker and explained the issue straight away. She addressed it by taking the meat and leaving everything else. Then the manager came over a few minutes later with the steak on the plate arguing with me that it was the way they cooked a medium rare steak. When I cut it apart and showed her the only place that was medium rare was by the bone and everything else was medium to medium well it was an argument she agreed and then offered to re make the steak, so eat the sides and we will bring out a piece of meat in x time or don t pay. It was so frustrating and angering, the lobster tail was great, the little sides we enjoyed were good but the meal as a whole was terrible and the argument from the manager was the icing in the cake to walk out. They treated us like we could not afford the meal and were trying to get it for free when that was not the case. Just because we came from an expo and were not dressed up and chose to sit in the lounge did not warrant the treatment we received. Would not recommend this location.
Would I eat here again? Yes! The staff like Janelle (waitress) are awesome as was the GM. The taste is excellent but when we voiced the food was not up to expectation as per other Kegs, we had a rude comment from the manager. The cook was a 3.5 out of 5 (steak was overcooked). Once we raised our concerns the GM assured us it was a great concern to raise. They genuinely care about customer experience as they will use lesser service experiences as a learning tool and we genuinely appreciate it! I wish management didn t push to compensate our meal as we are always willing to pay full price. At the end of the day if we had overcooked our own meal we would have wasted our own money at a grocer so we don t expect them to compensate. After all that s what a tip is for! That being said overall ambiance is great and they will strive to make sure your meal/and or experience is an overall 8/10 minimum!
Mido is an amazing server who caters to your every need. Very professional and friendly. Highly recommend. Parking: Limited spots right in front, but lots of spots in the shopping centre parking Kid-friendliness: They have lots of high chairs
We went to the Keg for our anniversary. We had fantastic service, the food was delicious, but we couldnt finish because there was so much! Im a picky eater and they did exactly what I asked, which was amazing. Definitely recommend it. Vegetarian options: I didnt see them all, but there are options such as vegetarian shepherds pie.
The food is excellent as always. The atmosphere is usually lovely except this night it was very loud and the service was a bit uneven. It was fairly busy though not full. Id definitely go back but maybe not on a weekend.
I just tried to make a reservation online for 7 people but was told I would have to phone to make a reservation because I had too many people to book online. So I decided to phone but not to the Keg. I just booked at Chop and had no issues. I am not sure what the issue is but I won t be back. Thanks,Randy
Absolutely fantastic! Delicious food, superb staff and a lovely atmosphere. My knife glided through the prime rib!
Had a great waitress Jody... nade our experience even better
The server was fine but I ordered a New York strip loin medium, and it came out well done. I sent it back and it came out the exact same way. Everyone else was almost finished their meals so I said the hell with it and just ate it. Was not impressed at all
Our server, Emily, was very friendly and pleasant. The prime rib and lobster Oscar sirloin were both wonderful. Thanks for the enjoyable date night for us.
Had the best steak in a long time tonight! Service was excellent (Amber) and the drinks were perfect! Bravo!!!
The Sherwood park location was fantastic!! Excellent atmosphere. They were on time, great service, delicious food. The lobster menu is definitely a must!
Great food. I have visited this location many times and Ive always been happy with the service and the food
Absolutely phenomenal service, Awesome food and extremely happy. Ruth, and Anna were very knowledgeable and made our experience memorable. Thank You so much
The food tasted great, and the service was excellent.
I invited my friends tonight to celebrate the end of school year. Most of us ordered the steaks and everyone enjoyed the their meal very much; however, my steak arrived a few minutes after everyones and I had noticed right away that my rib steak was not looking well. It seemed burned and way too thin than other rib steak that were ordered by my guests. A person who sat across me noticed right away that my steak had lot of fat and that it was too thin and burned. After a few bites, I noticed a crunch in my teeth, something like sand! I thought that it might be the spices on the meat, but after testing another few bites, I was 100% sure that it was sand or dirt! Either the meat was not properly washed or it was dropped on a dirty floor and put on my plate! I did not finish my meal and I told my guests that I was full because I did not want to interrupt their meal, which they really enjoyed! I give 1 star for the sake of my guests. If it was just me I wouldnt care thanks to such a bad disappointment!!! Anyway, if I hadnt been with my special guests, I would return the steak right away and asked for a fresh one, without dirt on it. But as I had mentioned, my guests were so special to me. Therefore, I was glad that this misfortune came on me, not my friends!!!
We enjoyed our wedding anniversary dinner at The Keg. .The decor was modern and the atmosphere was good...we enjoyed our drinks and meals...our server Amy was very sweet and did a good job
A go to for an amazing dinner to celebrate any occasion
I came in to pick up a piece of cheesecake because it is my favorite. However, this time not only have they raised the price by 40% the size is smaller and the quality is poor. This was so so disappointing. This tasted like it came from Walmart frozen and was thawed. The texture was not creamy and the fresh fruit topping was drizzle..watery sludge. No fruit whatsoever. Just the juice from a can I assume. Not worth $13.. in fact I wouldnt pay $5 for this. Keg cheesecake was not what I was given today. I couldnt be more disappointed .
**Updating my review to mention an outstanding server! As usual, we went to The Keg Sherwood Park for our Anniversary dinner. Our server was Johanna and she was absolutely so lovely and professional. We have never had bad service at this location but Johanna was just so friendly and helpful and provided the best service! Food was outstanding as usual... The Keg never disappoints! The prime rib is melt in your mouth perfect! Our favourite restaurant and never disappoints. Food is always amazing and so is the service and atmosphere. We have eaten at Kegs all over Canada and the US and never been disappionted. This location in Sherwood Park is extra fabulous.
The steaks were incredibly tasty, medium rare - perfect for filet mignon. Very tasty compliments from the establishment in the form of bread and butter. The child was very pleased to receive a compliment in the form of vegetables with crackers. The tartar was tasty, but the cut could have been more uniform. On my husbands birthday, we were treated to dessert. The waiters served professionally and very friendly Kid-friendliness: They gave coloring pages, compliments, a very tasty smoothie
Oh where to start. We were a table of 4 and at first the server seemed to know what she was doing. Gave us a good opening spiel, described lobster summer etc etc, however that was about the best it got. We ordered a round of dirty martinis for the 4 of us, I asked the server to ensure my olives go into the martini across from me which never happened as requested. First .she brought out 2 martinis and served the men first, I knew right then this was going down hill. Serve the woman first .thats just how it should be done. Then 5 minutes later the other 2 martinis showed up. We ordered tuna tartar and 2 orders of escargot to start. The tuna tartar hit the table in good time .the 2 orders of escargot were clearly forgotten. I ordered the sirloin Oscar with twice baked potato. When our mains arrived I had mashed potatoes. 5 minutes after our main dishes hit the table, the 2 orders of escargot came ..clearly not ideal when you come to the Keg for steak and get to let your steak sit so we could enjoy the escargot that we were all excited for. After we finished our mains, I figured a glass of wine would be a good end to a shotty service experience. I ordered the house Pinot Grigio .what arrived you ask? The house Pinot Noir. They were quick to fix that issue however it simply added to the already poor experience we were all having. The manager did approach the table however was not genuine at all. Seemed very scripted and spoke as if she memorized something out of a book. After informing her that my mashed potatoes were supposed to be the twice baked potato, her response was oh would you like a twice baked potato to go? What!??!! The hell am I going to do with a twice baked potato to go while driving back to the southside? The manager did comp both orders of the escargot a whopping $30 value for an absolute trash experience. And even after the $30 comp, our bill was still over $400. The only reason I tipped was because the food (outside of the wrong side I received) was great so the cooks deserve to get tipped out. The overall service and attempt to rectify our poor experience was in my opinion worth absolutely nothing. For an establishment such as the Keg .i expect better and it should be better. Up your game Sherwood Park
Food was ok
Great steak house, superb service, I have 0 complaints, prices are fair,
Love this location of the Keg! The food is phenomenal. The service is excellent and aesthetically beautiful. Our server Natalia was the sweetest and took such great care of us.
The food was excellent and served piping hot. All of the staff were very attentive, it s very rare to have such great service. Just perfect.
While not my favorite restaurant chain, we went there due to a birthday. I found the atmosphere wanting, I might have been at a table service fast food, though definitely not fast. Kudos, our server faced difficulties with members of our party which I felt she handled great! However, she spent more time trying to find no longer listed alcohol choices then she did getting the rest of us our beverages. While I enjoyed my dinner, many people in our party of eight did not. Varied responses. However, some just chose the wrong doneness of their meats, all clearly explained on the menu. However a point that I feel I need to make is, do not order ribs at what is known as a steakhouse. Dry, really dry.... what an amazing waste of money!! Cant say enough, just dont! They looked gross, cant imagine how they tasted! Long and short, I wont be back to the keg. Would not have gone back if it werent for gift certificates that Ive been hanging on to for a few years. Fabulous twice-baked potatoes!! Kid-friendliness: Took a long time to receive orders.
First time dining at this location. It was quite busy, and the atmosphere was nice. Food was great and service was awesome too!
Went to the Keg with some work colleagues for the oilers game and it was a fantastic time. Very helpful staff, delicious food and great drinks. Even with the restaurant packed for the game the service was still pretty good. If you re looking for an affordable supper out this is not the place to go, but for special occasions it s the place to be. Parking: 30+ spots for the Keg and a large parking lot right beside for overflow Kid-friendliness: There s some booths placed in the back corner and those would be perfect for young ones and dampening the sound. Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking and ramps.
Fantastic service and always great food. Every visit it feels like this place runs like clockwork and the wait staff are always bright and bubbly.
Food was great. The atmosphere was nice and the lady who served us was absolutely amazing. Awesome experience
Ordered the peppercorn steak medium well and unfortunately the steak was tasteless. Now granted I have eaten at the Keg many times and the steak was great but this time unfortunately my potatoes and vegetables tasted better than my steak.
The Keg, managed to squeeze us in last minute for a graduation dinner (5 people). On entry /arrival the hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We were shown to our table and the waitress took our drinks order shortly after seating, the waitress gave in-depth knowledge of their menu and wine choices. The waitress gave the table some warmed bread with our drinks which came with a delicious butter which we all agreed was great tasting. During the meal, the staff checked up on us at a steady pace including the manager. It felt very refreshing as they weren t overbearing but appeared whenever we needed something. The food was superb, the steak was cooked perfectly for medium rare, the vegetables were soft yet had a slight delicate crunch. My son had the blackened chicken which he said was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed the snow crab with the steak. We also managed to have the Eton Mess and chocolate cake for dessert which was all amazing. The atmosphere was great and every staff member met us with a smile and were courteous We all left with full smiles and a very pleasant experience.
I had a lovely time at the KEG, nice atmosphere, fantastic people
I ordered the rib steak, medium rare. It came out medium, but I was hungry so I just ate it. Also, the chocolate cake was a little dry. It wasn t like the time before when I had it at edmonton South Common.
If I could I give it 0 stars. From service to the food it was horrible. Kids menu says it includes a drink, side and ice cream. When I ordered a sirloin for my kid I was waiting for the server after the order to ask what drink she wants. So I had to ask can she get the juice. Response was there is no refillable for drinks or juice .. ok sure. Not like I ll fill up my 3 years old with juice. Food came for the sirloin, prime rib and the burger. We knew the prime rib from the look it was given the worst cut and how it was made it was hard. We got the explanation that prime rib is roasted in the oven etc, but the steak was hard, and paying almost $50 for this that was not edible. My kid s sirloin was very chewy. We also asked for medium and it was red it in the middle. We didn t want to complain for both steaks and end up giving my kid half my burger. Server also seemed to give us the cold shoulder afterwards and at the end when we asked for the bill, server didn t ask my kid for the ice cream. We just didn t bothered. Never expected this kind of service from The Keg and surely won t be returning.
Just picked up some of their horse Radish that Costco no longer carries. My favourite is their peppercorn steak and veggies.
If I could add an extra star for service, I would. She was fantastic - attentive, sweet, easy to talk to. I had the prime rib and a caesar. Caesar was perfect. The prime rib was amazing, full of flavour and so insanely tender. Also had an orde of calamari, which was light as air and perfectly cooked. The sauces were delicious. Looking forward to the opportunity it go again. Parking: The main lot was full, except for handicapped parking, which I have a plaquard for. There is plenty of extra parking for the surrounding stores, though.
Maybe it was an off day there? The food was good but not The Keg standard, The Prime rib came warm at best, lobster was cold and even the butter wasnt melting. It was an important night out and we were let down. This was with reservation dinner for 6.
The food was good, but the steaks looked different for the group even tho we got the same meal. Service was nice. The atmosphere was crowded but overall nice. Dietary restrictions: There were options for gluten, vegan, and a few others if I remember correctly. Wheelchair accessibility: There were ramps whenever there was a step, and it was easy to move around.
Had 14oz prime rib perfect
Super food, super attentive server, bus staff quick and almost didnt notice grabbing plates, drinks kept coming, guy who brought us food quickly refilled a drink of thirsty guy even though not his job! Thanks for a tasty meal!
Excellent
A great location, we did not feel rushed
Delicious steak & very cozy atmosphere. Nice restaurant to visit for a celebration. We tried the mushroom/cream cheese appetizer, it came extremely hot as it supposed to be. It was a nice appetizer. Well recommend the blue-cheese sirloin.
Best Keg around. Hands down!
Never lets me down great rib steak always done to perfection
Ended up leaving due to the kitchen running out of Rib Steak. . . . In Alberta ?? The server was great though. Food
Went to the Keg with my family to celebrate Mothers Day. The food was amazing! I had the sirloin and lobster, with cauliflower mash. The food was fresh. I had a slice of cheesecake for dessert and it definitely complimented the meal. I will definitely be back when Im in town.
First at The Keg in years. Great location. Staff really cared about our needs too. Food was excellent as well. Parking: Parking at the actual Keg location can be difficult, but theres plenty of parking elsewhere close by.
We went in for Mothers Day and Austin was our server/bartender. He was great! He was attentive and very pleasant to chat with. Made our night!
I will never go to this location again. Asked for a bread,.that is served free with the high priced meals, to take home. They said its for dine in only. Really? It costs probably under $5 which is meant to fill you up to eat a smaller portion of food which costs more. I highly recommend the Skyview location in Edmonton. That location is always booked way in advance. I know why now.
So we went to this location for some steaks. Got seated at the bar. Ordered some drinks. Ordered some food. Was sitting there talking away with the bartender and his friends .. then all of the sudden with get cut off!! Only had one drink!!! Didnt even get our food yet!! Dont know what happened but this location is ran by kids. If they dont like you they just cut you off !!! Never again will I go here !!
Mothers day dinner with my wife and mother of our daughters. Prime rib excellent as well as the roasted vegetables. Hard to beat The Keg in Sherwood Park Parking: Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu items
First thing the service was great! The food was so so, our party all had steaks and prime rib, which was good. The issue was the sides, potatoes were cold the broccoli was so dry and some pieces were turning yellow. One plate had enough mushrooms to feed the table while another plate only had about 10. The portion sizes were so obviously different on every plate. I know prices are up everywhere and people try to support businesses but its hard to return when half the plate is edible. Enjoyed The Keg in the past but to expensive now.
The baseball steak is a favorite of myn at this restaurant.
The location in Sherwood Park was excellent. How an unexpected babysitter so of course we went and had a nice meal last minute and it was wonderful. The staff hooked us up
35 minutes before we had drinks. The lounge was loud enough to new to speak up in the dining room. We were sat next to the kitchen so we heard CORNER!! Many times. Steak was good enough, but maybe not for $33. It was surprising how slow the service was for the number of staff they had working.
This is the best Keg in the greater Edmonton area. You will not be disappointed! Unless you thought it was a taco bell.
Great Food and excellent service by Mido tonight!
had an amazing experience. we had the waiter ask us how our meal was, along with the chef and manager. Was definitely the best customer service i ve ever received at a restaurant. there was a bit of delay for one side dish but I don t think that affected the customer service as I saw the manager speaking with almost everyone at a table. The food was very delicious of course but I think the customer service was what made my experience better
Amazing food, intelligent, knowledgeable staff and incredible atmosphere.
Everything was good except my prime rib was overdone and tough. Very busy I tried to get our waiter but another worker said he would be right over. I waited 10 minutes but never came. Disappointed but still enjoyed the company.
We really enjoyed our experience at this location. Our waiter was friendly and super fun to deal with. The food was great as well!
Very good tonight. No issues
Service was amazing, the streak was awful, 50 bucks for a sad piece of meat could have gone to the butcher and got an actually steak
Our waitress was well-trained, knowledgeable, professional, and very friendly. She always came by to check on us at the right time, and as a result, we tipped her 18%, instead of our usual 15%. The food was absolutely amazing. As usual, I had steak, fries, starter nachos, a twist on a Caesar salad, which offered more crunch to its texture, and a free Billy Miner pie, because it was my birthday. It was an amazing experience.
Had a great meal. Nice quiet place and the staff were cheerfully, efficient, and helpful. Made my anniversary very special.
My husband and I visited this evening, we ordered the bone marrow as a appetizer. We have had bone marrow at various steakhouses over the past year, all an excellent experience. This was terrible. We took our first bite, and were confused because the flavour was so bad compared to other experienced. We suffered through the first bite but then looked at each other and knew something was wrong with the dish. Our server took the dish back and we were not charged for it, however we spent the entire rest of the meal feeling extremely unwell, and were both sick when we got home. I was surprised that the staff were not more concerned, I got the feeling that this wasn t the first time with this dish. We will be sticking to Earls and Chop.
Still great food and superb service at the Sherwood Park location. Atmosphere was upbeat in the dining area, but not so loud you could not carry on a normal conversation. Gotta go back again soon!
Pleased we made a reservation. When we left the entrance was overcrowded with folks presumably waiting for a table. The food was excellent, quite noisy though in the dining room, and the staff looked stressed. It would be nice if they had a dress code for the dining room as I am sure a lot of people are there for special occasions and the prices reflect a high-end establishment. Dietary restrictions: No dairy free desserts if you like dessert.
As always the Keg is a great dining experience
huge, packed Saturday night- appreciate the chef coming out and dixdd my undercooked steak promptly under 5 minutes. Everything was delicious, only complaint would be 1 lobster tail charging $26 thanks keg Food
Always a great meal and fun experience Vegetarian options: Very tasty Food : 5/5 |
The staff here are amazingly friendly, the food is always 5 star along with the service. Jody was my server the first time I visited, Jordan M was my server the second time I visited. Both! Were the most exquisite experiences, I will always choose Sherwood Park Keg as my go to place for a fine dining experience with an outgoing and relaxed atmosphere. Love this place and I ll always be back for more
Waiting to long for the dinner with service seriously lacking
Great space for family dinner, awesome food, and outstanding attention by Jason. Nothing but positive, good things to say!!! Vegetarian options: Yes, there are few vegetarian options as part of the menu Parking: Plenty of space, close to the restaurant and around the commercial area Kid-friendliness: Yes, I came with my two kids, it was quiet, nice and they were having fun with the Hockey game in a big screen Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, it is accessible
We typically go to The Keg for special occasions such as birthdays. We made a reservation in advance for a party of 3. Upon arrival we checked in and waited about 5 minutes for our table to be ready. Our waitress Tori took our drink & food order. The appetizers came out fairly quickly, the food was fresh and tasty. Our drinks were checked on regularly but there was a bit of a wait for the drinks to come from the bar sometimes. Our main dishes came out and we all ordered a steak dish. We had to ask for steak knives, a minor inconvenience. The steaks were cooked to order, and the rest of the food was fresh and delicious.
Did not enjoy the EDM music playing. Feel like it should be a bit more calm and soothing. Overall great food and service.
Fantastic food and phenomenal service. My only critique would be that the music was too loud. But I m old so what do I know. Food
Need more gluten free options thats not just seafood items Dietary restrictions: Not enough gluten free options Food : 3/5 |
Love this location, we always go on our birthdays and anniversary. Foid is excellent, staff are great!!
I treated my son and my daughter to early birthday dinner on Friday evening first of all our waiter talked so fast I couldn t even understand a word he was saying , my kids were all ears as well to understand him as he told us the dinner specials that happened a few times during our stay.. my son ordered 2 lobster tail dinner , my daughter Ed ordered prime rib classic and myself steak and lobster! Sounds delicious right! well my dinner was cold even though the plate was hot, my sons lobster was way over cooked but my daughters prime rib was perfect. I told the waiter who quickly just grabbed the plate and took it away, a few minutes later I believe the manager came back with my dinner said we put everything back on the grill and put it down in front of me we ll just what I fiqured now my steak was way over done, and I believe they added warm potatoes to the ones already on the plate . The manager never came back to our table , the waiter after a longer while came back said ok now? By this time I just said sure. As dishes from our appetizer were sitting in the middle of the table , our waiter came back, just stuck his hand in to grab them, never said excuse me , nothing . My daughter was still eating her dinner and the waiter started taking food the butter away never even again asked VERY disappointing in the service, especially the food and the manager. My husband and I go there everytime we go for dinner, I always buy gift cards for my friends and family for the Keg.. it s one of my favourite dinner places . Unfortunately I feel like we didn t matter as a customer, our money didn t matter in which our bill wasn t cheap sad.
Was a bit disappointed in the prime rib. Wasnt the usual tender meat! Have had better for less money elsewhere! Food
Bone marrow was not cooked properly, pull apart bread for the gruyere dip was dry, tuna was undersesoned. Underwhelming experience.
Expensive but very good food
My wife and I just celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary and we went to the Keg for dinner. Right from the reservation staff, cant remember the hostess name who got us an awesome table to our waitress Tammy you exceeded our expectations. We will be back. Thank you Keg Sherwood Park for making our wedding anniversary so wonderful. You earned 5 stars
The steak wasn t that great compared to Italia. Over priced. And the twice baked potato needs a little more butter
Honestly I dont know what all the hype is about. Judging by the amount of people who were waiting outside to be seated I figured this was THE Keg to eat at. We made reservations and were seated 5-10 min after our reservation time, no big deal as I believe wait times without were 40 min. The intimacy setting was lost when we were seated 3 from others so dont think you will have a private meal, granted this place is packed. Drinks were ordered and came fairly slow, sat 15-20 min with empty glasses, that included water. Again, it was busy so kind of understandable. The food was okay, nothing to write home about. The veggies on the plate were bland. My steak had a massive chunk of cartilage through it so cheap cut of meat unless they included the rubber band in the price. how ever I will say they were properly cooked to our order so thats positive. Once we were done bill payment was cringe worthy due to the overall price. And then the bloating settled in for rest of the night. I much rather save the money and cook at home then go back. Hopefully your experience is better then ours.
Jamie was an awesome person, very joyful and positive. Helpful and kind.
The keg in Sherwood park has consistent great food and service. We have been here many times because of this. Highly recommend!
Very good steak restaurant. Menu 1 1/2 page easy to select high quality food. Good assortment of whiskey and cocktails. Staff is friendly and experienced. Just a place were you want to go back
Service was a little slow but in their defense it was busy at the time the food was good though Im a stk guy so ill be back
The Keg is usually consistent but for the first time ever I did not order a steak and regretted it. Pork ribs should be fall off the bone tender but these were dry, tough and a little burnt on the outside. Clearly not their strength like steaks are! Also, I wish this location would do away with the bright LED lighting above some of the seating, its blinding and not conducive to a relaxing dinner out.
Tried calling twice to make a reservation for my wife and I. First one went to voice-mail after so many rings, called 5 min later and got sent to voice-mail after 2 rings. Called Vikkis Bistro instead and made a reservation 30 seconds later.
Friendly staff, amazing food and inviting environment. One of the better locations I ve been to!
Had a wonderful night at Keg Sherway on Jan 2. The food was on point and our server was very attentive to our needs and so delightful.
Great steak!
Steak was tough, prime rib was about 30% fat. Server Jody was great. Noisy atmosphere. Food
Two of our party of four had prior negative experience with The Keg in Sherwood Park but agreed to take a chance again in January 2024. This restaurant mustve really turned things around for the better as our supper was superb and our server, Maya, ensured everything was just right. Oh, two of the Bloody Caesars were simply off and Maya quickly corrected/made up for that, as well. Everyone in our group agreed that theyd gladly come back again. Thanks, Maya: you really saved the meal!
I always enjoy an evening at The Keg. Every member of the hosting staff ask if were there to celebrate a special event (we were). They strive to make every visit special and memorable. The food is excellent, both flavourful and cooked to perfection. My only concern with the food is that my girlfriend is gluten free and cannot partake in any of the appetizers. Well definitely be back, but well have to save it for special occasions. Dietary restrictions: There are gluten friendly entrées, no gluten friendly appetizers, and only one gluten friendly dessert.
My husband and I went to the Keg for our anniversary. Everything was just perfect.!!
Last Friday I went to the Keg with my girlfriend to celebrate my birthday dinner. I am a huge steak fan and I love the Kegs 20 oz steak while my girlfriend loves the half-rack ribs. We booked a reservation at 6, arrived at 5:45 and we were seated within a few minutes. Our waitress was Hannah and while I can say she was friendly, she was very talkative to the point where we did not want to hear the filler and head straight to our requests. My girlfriend and I ordered drinks and appetizers (the garlic shrimp to be exact) and while we did enjoy our first bites, we noticed they did not provide the tiny forks that the Keg normally serves with their shrimp. We did, however have regular size forks on our table so we made due with what we had. Next we ordered dinner, and boy did that take a while. We had ordered our dinner after our first drinks and we had waited over an hour for food. I even noticed that the waiters and waitresses were serving people food who came in 30-45 minutes after us. I prompted Hannahs attention a couple of times but she seem busy taking orders than serving her table. When our food came out, the waitress who brought it out (not Hannah) got distracted by something else and my girlfriend and I waited about 10 minutes for it. I even contemplated getting up and letting her know she has our food and we are getting hungry. Finally after over an hour of waiting our main course arrives and I can definitely say it was delicious. I enjoyed the succulent medium rare steak while my girlfriend enjoyed her half-rack ribs covered in barbeque sauce. 4/5. Now came the bill and this was the part of the service my girlfriend and I were extremely dissatisfied. She only brought out one machine despite saying she d bring out two and then when we explained a second time that we were splitting the bill she left for a while and eventually brought two receipts. When we looked at the receipts, Hannah put the garlic shrimp on my bill even though my girlfriend mentioned she was going to pay for it. Not wanting to wait any longer, I decided to pay for the shrimp myself. I payed for my bill with a keg gift card. Then my girlfriend tried paying with a Mastercard Gift Card. Hannah told us she would have to get a manager to authorize the payment in which we waited an EXTRA 10 minutes. Then finally the manager comes out and we explain the situation. My girlfriends bill was about $35 and her gift card was $50. I forgot the managers name but his shirt had Dixon on it. Dixon made some assumption that my girlfriends bill was over $50 and when he found out the real price, he asked my girlfriend to give the remaining $15 as a tip to the restaurant. I cannot believe the audacity this person had demanded just to get this transaction through. He takes the card and takes another 10 minutes and when he returned, he told us he used the full amount on the card (which my girlfriend told him we did not want to) and to make up for it, he gives us a $25 gift card, which they think is fair compensation. My girlfriend and I only go the Keg like twice a year for special occasion and now we have no idea when we will use this card. Lastly Hannah brought out the Billy Miner Pie that we asked for to go before we payed and by the time we sorted the bill fiasco it had sat on the table over 20 minutes and melted. While we both still like our typical order at the Keg, we will NOT be returning to this location due to the terrible service from our waitress and manager. The only thing that is preventing me from giving this review a 1 star is how good the food was. 2/5, great food but terrible service. Would not eat at this location again.
The wife and i go every year for our anniversary and as always awesome food and a great time.
On this night, they seemed to be understaffed. Our server was wonderful, though. Order an appetizer of crab cakes, which were good. Thought they might have come with some chopped veggies and dip, as well, for the price we paid for them. Food was well prepared, but the plates seemed a little bare for the prices.
We went to the Keg for our anniversary. The food was excellent and the server Victoria was superb. It was a wonderful experience overall. The night we went, they were really busy and the service level was not affected. Great experience overall and we will be going back.
Great experience! Our server Anastasia was great. Very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. One small problem but was fixed by management! Will definitely go back! Thank you!
Unfortunately we did not have a great experience here. Austin the server was fantastic but the drinks and food came out very slow. We had to ask for bread three times, one of our party had cold potatoes, another had a steak that was supposed to be medium but was extremely rare so we sent this back. Two of us had the sirloin Oscar but there was no asparagus included. The manager did comp two desserts for our party of 6. This is the second time the food coming from the kitchen is slow and not great.
The food was great, good timing on appetizers then food. I recommend the waiting staff keep any discussion shorter and more professional. All around good experience.
Steak was perfect how everything else was the opposite, had better ceaser salad from 7/11 , beets and broccoli lacked seasoning just taste like dirt , beets and broccoli that was the worst seasonal veggies I ever been served , drinks were also great
Ive been to the Sherwood Park Keg numerous times, but there were several issues that left me feeling underwhelmed during my last visit on Saturday, Nov 4th, 2023 for a birthday dinner with 13 others. Service: The service at The Keg was satisfactory, but the overall dining experience felt hurried. We were given a time constraint, which was quite frustrating, especially since we were celebrating a birthday and wanted to savor our meal without feeling rushed. Additionally, there was no cutlery set on the table, and we had to request it when our appetizers arrived... not the end of the world, but definitely not normal for the Keg. When the dessert was brought out, we were unable to sing happy birthday to our friend because the staff was pressuring us to finish quickly and settle our bills. To add to the rush, the manager even approached us while we were still enjoying our dessert, informing us that the next group was waiting for our table. Food Quality: The peppercorn steak, a dish that I have had the pleasure of enjoying on numerous occasions in the past and had been eagerly looking forward to, unfortunately fell short of my expectations. The main issue was that the fat on the steak was not properly rendered, resulting in a tough and chewy texture that made it difficult to fully enjoy. Furthermore, the steak was cooked more towards medium doneness rather than the medium rare that I had specifically requested. This deviation from my desired level of doneness affected both the taste and texture of the meat. In addition to the cooking issues, I found that the peppercorn seasoning lacked the robustness and depth that I had experienced in previous visits, leaving me somewhat disappointed with the overall taste profile of the dish. Considering the price point of $50 for this particular steak, I believe it is reasonable to expect a certain level of excellence in terms of both preparation and flavor. I made a conscious decision not to complain about it due to several factors. Firstly, our group size was quite large, and addressing individual concerns might have disrupted the flow of our gathering. Additionally, we were pressed for time, which further discouraged me from raising any complaints due to our large group size and limited time. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was loud and crowded. The restaurant was packed, and the noise level was high. While this may be acceptable for some, it was not ideal for our group of 14, who were celebrating a birthday and wanted to be able to talk and enjoy each others company.
Nov 5, 2023 my wife and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary by treating the family (13 in all) to a nice dinner. Our waitresses couldnt have been more professional or attentive. They got all our orders from drinks, appetizers, entres just perfect and threw in a lovely ice cream cake at the end. Everybody raved about the food. Thanks again Keg, ShwdPk you never disappoint
We dined in a few weeks ago , and I was so taken back by the level of service. It was slow. Very slow. Drinks took so long. The male server we had forgot our table bread and one of our appetizers. We also waited so long to sit in the lounge when it was not even busy. We saw many people that looked like managers walking around doing nothing. If the bar was so backed up that drinks took so long , why didnt management step in to help ? They sat around talking. We love the food at the keg but the service we recieved was so bad sad when you are paying 200 for a dinner.
Food and service from Jodie our server was exceptional
Good steak, good service awesome room
We go to The Keg every year for our anniversary. A few years ago, we did not have a great experience and wrote a negative review. Today at the Sherwood Park Keg was amazing. Service was superb, food delicious and atmosphere great. They restored our faith in the service industry. Great Job all.
Saturday, November 18th. I had the greatest escargot Ive had in my life. I had the jumbo shrimp special and French onion soup, which IMO, was better than you get from a big chain store we all know and love for their soup. To finish it off I got the bacon wrapped Fillet Mignon. If I had any complaints, Id have to say the bacon that wrapped the filled was honestly a joke. Paper thin, tasteless, a waste of time, and an insult to all things bacon. Not sure why it was even on there to be honest. But the filet did melt in my mouth and was the best steak Ive had at a restaurant in at least a decade. Will be back for my anniversary
Great food! Great service always!
The food at the Keg Sherwood Park is always outstanding, wonderful drinks, great atmosphere and our server Tre this evening from the beginning was so attentive with an outstanding personality, fantastic attention to detail and just genuine care that we had a great experience! 10+ out of 10 Tre and team!
Food as always is excellent however the prices are getting out of hand. We always have steak and lobster which used to be $35. It has now doubled in price! Not worth it anymore because it is too expensive. Parking: Very limited number of stalls.
My steak and lobster were cold. They couldnt accommodate my party size either.
Parking is horrendous at this location. Foods good. Service even better. Went recently & our server IZZY. Was exceptional. Super professional. Need more servers like her. Dinning area itself is a little cramped. Ppl are packed in there like sardines. The ranch dip is like colored water. Super weird. Overall a good place, for some decent food.b Would recommend & will be back.
I went in to have a nice quiet dinner after I dropped off my sister and friend at the airport and I could not have been more pleased with the service that I received from Jenna in the lounge. She was so friendly and I can be very picky as I had weight loss surgery last year so my dietary restrictions are complicated and she didn t even bat an eye. The food came out exactly as I asked and everything was exceptional as always thank you Jenna for making my night out so special
Steak was a little tough.
