Jon Smith Subs is a fantastic spot for a quick and satisfying meal. Their subs are packed with fresh ingredients and generous portions, making them a great value for the price. The bread is always soft and flavorful, providing the perfect base for the delicious fillings. I tried their Montreal Smoked meat sub, and it was fantastic!
Five star experience due to the immaculate customer service. Wasn't a huge fan of the meatball sub or the bomb so he made us a new totally different sandwich free of charge. Way better sandwich the one he recommended and provided in exchange of the others. Highly recommend due to customer satisfaction is their must. Thank you to the staff for providing great customer service.

I found the Hot Cajun was a better sandwich then most places and I would rate it a 4/5 but the poutine was below average at a 2/5. The service was helpful and friendly and helped me choose what I should get to eat. I would go back again and try another thing to eat. The atmosphere was a little dry, I liked how it was not busy but some ambient music would help raise it. My star ranking system: 1: Bad / Don't go there 2: Could be better 3: Average 4: Above average but not the best 5: A true top notch place
As far as subs go, these were just OK. Loaded with excess mayo and little meat left little for your tastebuds to enjoy. Poutine was good with crispy, thinner fries and "curds". Kids ham & cheese was again more mayo than anything else. One thing I found odd was that there was only 2 bread choices and 1 wrap style choice. Most sub/sandwich places I've been to give multiple choices. I'll be hesitant to try here again. Customer service was great, I'll give them that.
A must try for sandwiches/subs. The cuban sandwich is a must try. But so far of the 4 sandwiches we tried, they were all great and fresh. Recommend getting different sandwiches and splitting to be able to try the array of very tasty sandwiches they have. We took it for takeout and was still good after the drive home.
We stopped in at Jon Smith Subs prior to the lunch ruah hoping that it would be somewhat of a similar experience to Jersey Mike's Subs that I've been to while in the US. Unfortunately, the experience is a little bit different, but still good. We stuck with the tried and true Italian cold cuts sub, along with a turkey sub, and a side of their famous fries. The subs were definitely tasty, but nothing all that special either. The sub buns are a bit heavier than what you'd get at Subway, with only 2 options for types of buns. You can't see any of the veggie toppings as they make everything in the back. They all seemed fresh, but again, there were less options than a place like Subway or even Mr. Sub in my opinion. As for the famous fries, they were definitely fresh and hot, but they didn't have much seasoning on them. The restaurant was extremely clean and tidy, and the employee was quite nice and friendly. Maybe I had some higher expectations based on my previous experiences at Jersey Mike's Subs, and not having been to a John Smith Subs before expected a similar experience. Don't get me wrong, the subs were definitely good, but I don't know if I'll go out of my way to travel to John Smith Subs. I will give them another try though to see what their The Bomb and non-deli style subs are like, but I'll probably skip the fries.

Never eat here. Came today with five friends around 2pm, we all ordered different sandwiches. The worst sandwich each of us has ever eaten. Took over twenty minutes to receive out food. No flavour just tonnes of mayonnaise. Do not come here, spend your money elsewhere.

The place seems to have gone downhill a bit. I had The Italian (Genoa Salami, Smoked Ham, Pepperoni, Capicola, Provolone, Oregano, Lettuce, Tomatoes, onions, Pickles, Mayo) a few times now. The first time in the beginning of July the sandwich was REALLY good. Really full of sliced meats and hefty. The last 2 times the sandwich is got lighter and lighter and less filled. Really disappointed. Maybe you need to hit the super high tip button or something. I ve also tried The Cuban (nowhere near as full of meat as advertised), and the Classic Steak (which was OK). You still might be hungry after one of these subs, not what you want for $15(!!) a sub.

Very clean restaurant and washroom. We ordered the bomb, cuban meal and kids meal. Absolute yums! The kids finished their grilled cheese and chicken fingers and the guy manning the store gave us a free cookie. All in all a fun and pleasant experience. Kid-friendliness: Very accommodating to families with kids. 5 stars!
Just a sub! We ordered their specialty sub (picture looked like a panni) but we got a regular sub bun, too much bread. Just meat and maybe onions , no veggies at all. Maybe we missed asking for them? Got the meal deal with fries and fries were the same little fries served in other fast food restaurants which means they were cold in a couple of minutes. Nothing special from our perspective. We likely wont return.

Not good at all. Ordered two breakfast subs through UberEats. One bacon egg and cheese, one sausage egg and cheese. They were both awful. Tiny, squished, flattened, egg was greyish, bacon was barely there and rubbery. We usually love thier subs for lunch so we wanted to try the breakfast ones. Wish we hadn t. Two tiny gross subs for $20. No thanks.

Im sitting in the restaurant right now. Second visit, this time with my stepdad. Food was AWESOME on my first visit, and did not let me down on this second visit. CLEAN restaurant, really amazing food, FILLING portions is you get the 12, staff friendly. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys subs... its a great experience. Lot of potential! Little less meat than advertise. I had the Cubano and the famous sub. Both sandwich the bread was fully soft. For the famous sub I guess it can be preference but for the cubano it needs to be a bit crispy. Also, there was 4 pickles in my entire Cubano. Pickles are one of the main ingredient of a cubano. Overall the ingredients are good, but the sandwich fabrication part is lacking!

Had a hot cajun chicken today. Good environment and customer service as well. The main thing is whole the area like table floor and washrooms are very clean. That thing is liked the most. And I recommend all of you to go there and try their hot cajun chicken and stake. Best wishers.

Sandwich was decent, with good meat and veggies but kind of boring loaded with mayo. Wasnt given option if any other sauce when ordering. Service was unbelievably slow. Near 20 min for a cold cut sandwich. And the inside felt depressing, wish I had got it to go.

Went to Johns Subs in Sherwood Park & first experience was amazing! Super clean inside & out & staff was very fast, friendly & officiant! Went with family & tried the Teriaki chicken, Chicken Bomb & Steak Bomb subs & all were very flavourful & the size was definitely worth the price! With this all said I will definitely be returning again as was very impressed with the entire experience!

I found this place by chance driving by, and my favorite is their classic Italian. The food is great, way better quality than subway, and the service is actually service. I want to add that Jas served me today and brought me my food along with a sample of spicy mayo and Buffalo sauce to try with my fries and sub, and they added a ton to the meal. I will gladly drive a half hour when Im craving a sandwich! Parking: Parking available in their own lot and in the neighboring lot.

Took my wife and mother in law here for lunch since we felt like subs. We each had a different sub (Roast beef, tuna salad and steak bomb) with fries and tomato soup. Its definetly way better than the FAKE NONSENE you get at Subway. Cheaper than Subway and actually uses fresh ingredients. We all enjoyed it and will be back in the future.

Very disappointing. Small portions of meat, overflowing with mayo, ready crisp bacon on the club and barely any of it. Over priced. I could go to Subway for half the cost and enjoy it.

I ordered the hot Italian sub, but it was underwhelming, lacking flavor despite having tomato sauce and peppers. It was somewhat boring and even a bit soggy, making it difficult to finish. My husbands choice was slightly better, but still not remarkable. Additionally, the soda machine offered flat or unsyruped drinks, which was unexpected given the empty restaurant. The floor was sticky, adding to the unpleasant experience. Despite the friendly staff, we wont return as there are better dining options in Sherwood Park. For the price, we expected so much more!
I wanted to try something new. Went here and was so pleasantly surprised. Subway is hot garbage. This place was so good. I ate that sub 3 hours ago. Every time I burp I get to experience that sub all over again. Delicious. Also, they have Dr Pepper on tap which isn t much but it moves the needle enough for me. If you re wondering, go. I promise you, it s great.
Waited 45 mins for food, we were the only ones in the store when we ordered. Got it and fries had zero Cajun seasoning on them which he argued about. Food and fries were cold. We usually have no issues here however was someone new today and wasn t a great experience.

Grossly incompetent staff. Friend bought a sub: BLT. She was assured that there is no cheese in the BLT as she is anaphylactic to dairy which she did make the staff aware of; as well the website states the BLT is bacon, lettuce, tomato and Hellmans Mayo. She brought it home and began to eat it quickly realizing she had been poisoned, there was Swiss cheese on the sandwich. We had to take her to the hospital for treatment of anaphylaxis and the day was ruined. In immediately due to the severity of her condition but certainly not worth the injections or pills. On the way home from the hospital we stopped to inform the establishment of their mistake and they were not receptive, not apologetic. Will never buy here or recommend anyone go here again. Careless and inconsiderate.

Just had dinner here. Ordered 3 different steak subs. All were decent. Not a tonne of flavor in the subs. I was hoping to find a great cheesesteak place because Hot Philly up north is so far away. Sub was decent, but not great. Customer service was great. The menu board is a little tough to read. Many items in small print and the glare from outside did not help us see it.

The food was disgusting. We got the steak bomb sub and the gator sub and fries. The steak was so over cooked ... it was tough and dry. There was no cheese on either sub. The swamp sauce on the gator sub was gross. The fries were over cooked and cold. Absolutely everything was disgusting. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I will never go back. You most definitely dont need a big mouth for their subs ... portion size is small. The worst sub I have ever had. This place is expensive... what a waste of money.

I went here with my wife and one year old son, we got the chicken bomb, steak bomb, and chicken fingers. Everything was fresh, full, and delicious. The fries were a particular highlight with fantastic crisp and flavour. The whole restaurant was clean and fresh, from tables to floors to the restrooms. The staff was also super friendly and helpful. 10/10 we will be back again. Kid-friendliness: The kids menu items were adored by my son.

All I can say is more. Good service, courteous staff, awesome subs! Best I have had. The combination of beef and provolone melts in your mouth. Plus, the also serve beer and I believe offsales as well.

4 of us ate here last night and on average gave it a 6.5/10. Its pretty good but its not anything to write home about, fries were 8/10. Also 3 out of 4 of us potentially got food poisoning.
First visit and was excited being a sub sandwich lover . Came away disappointed .expensive menu . Fillings are added out back with no choice / options . Got home and found small diameter 12 inch bun . Added my own mayo after first bite . Not on par with other sub shops . Prime location . Too bad . Wont go back.

First time at Jon Smiths and I ordered the Steak Bomb. It was delicious, the bread was soft, steak was tender and the grilled veggies just topped it off. Staff was polite and knowledgeable, definitely will be going back again.

We went in on Saturday night and felt the service was very poor. Barely an acknowledgment of us being there. After we paid, I noticed you could choose from white or whole wheat bread, the option wasn t even presented to us. My partner and I both ordered the Chicken Bomb, it was okay. The fries were fresh and tasted amazing though!

On par with every other sub shop. The steak bomb was OK but nothing spectacular although the bun was fresh and soft. The prices seem to be slightly higher than other chains around Sherwood Park.

Stopped in to pick up quick sub, was disappointed ordered the Cuban, I like that this restaurant grills and builds the subs fresh. There unfortunately was no Cuban flavour to the meats or help from the cheese. Only flavour that came through was the mustard. For the price I expected something more flavourful. Won t be on my list of sub shops to go back to!!

This was my first time here, I normally like Quiznos and try and stay away from subway. I got the chicken bomb and the ingredients seemed like high quality, fresh and tasty but the major letdown was that it was soggy. I ordered it, brought it into the car and ate it right after and it was almost falling apart. I want to try again in the future but prices are a little high to have this happen!

I always get the steak bomb, it s basically a Philly cheese steak sandwich. It s fantastic, they fry it all up on the grill and then put it on a fresh bun. The ppl that work there super friendly. 10/10 recommend, way better than subway or Quiznos.

Well worth your money! The Bomb and fries are very tasty! The owner is friendly, the food was prepared fast and the atmosphere is fresh and clean. Kid-friendliness: They offer a kids menu.
