Very delicious, I don’t know why I’ve waited so long to check this place out?! Best coconut rice and the green curry was sooooo good! You MUST try this little hidden gem of a restaurant in Sherwood Park out!! Went for dinner and then again the next day for lunch! That good! Restricted hours though. Check before you go.
Absolutely not tasty. Generic tasting, over-sauced pad Thai with almost no chicken and loaded with bean sprouts. Should have just gone to Thai Express. The fried rice also had almost no chicken in it and tasted more like liquorice. First and last time we’re getting food from here.
Fast and pleasant service. Great food. Large servings. Clean dining room and bathrooms.
So good! The food is hot, fresh and tasty. Service was good natured and prompt. Nice, quiet little place. We will definitely be back!
Had pad Thai here , really good. Fried won tons are nice and crispy . Hidden gem in Sherwood park.
Ordered pad thai to go - big portion and fresh shrimps. Very fast service. However, it tasted like noodles soaked only in soy sauce. Wished it was fried longer.
I am a little in the fence on this one. Very traditional Thai food, it was tasty, but the Pad Thai was a little off. The green coconut curry was really good, small portions but tasty and left me wanting more. Service was very friendly, food was on point for heat and came out of the kitchen in a prompt manner.
The server was really nice and we tried this place on a groupon so the pricing was good for us. The restaurant was quite small for seating and you can tell it is run by a family or close friends. Servers were nice and tried to come by as much as they can to ask us about food and fill water. Flavors and food were decent and portioning was decent. Overall, if I was in the area it would be a good contender for food.
I called for take out but it was 8:39pm I understand they re closing but the lady on the phone was so rude. So I said nvm don t worry about it.
Very enjoyable. Service was attentive, pleasant. Food was delicious. Dinning room very clean. The platter was a nice variety. Food
Green pad thai was fantastic and portion size was very good.
Excellent Thai food. Best in Sherwood Park, possibly even all of Edmonton
Got the green curry dish and it was amazziinnggg I could literally eat it every day!
Easily one of the best Thai places we ve tried in the Edmonton area. Will be ordering again. The beef spring rolls are the best I ve had.
Looking forward to Pad Thai and got Pad Soya Sauce. Saddened by how much it cost for just noodle portions. For my non picky growing boy eaters they did not even eat the meat spring rolls and said it had a weird taste. Sawadee I would rate 4.5 out 5. Price for Ruamit is higher. Sawadee is not open Mondays.
I ve been coming here for years and it is consistently so good. I ve tried other places, but I still think this is the best Thai in sherwood park.
Have eaten here for years. Excellent Thai food all around. Great food and service dining in. Most recently ordered out for 5 adults. Quick prep and all was delicious!
Great food, lots of it. 10/10. Would recommend to all.
Great food. Wish it was closer! Love the Tom yum soup and salad rolls!
We go here almost every time our grandparents are in town. Definitely our family favourite. Food is delicious.
Ordered the Red Curry, and Penang Curry with Coconut Rice. Very Delicious, spicy and reasonably priced. 10/10 would go back in heart beat!
It may not look the best on the inside or have the best service, but the food is amazing. THE BEST Pad Thai Ive had... I would choose it as my last meal. Explore the menu, its all great food.
We visited this place twice in the past few months and this was my first time trying the soup. We ordered the Thai Pho and Tom Yum soup. Huge portions and great flavour. Highly recommend.
We ordered 5 items between 3 of us- the portions were more than enough for seconds! It was absolutely delicious and the taste was one of the closest to Thailand that I have found in Edmonton/Sherwood Park. The tom yum was especially well done compared to other places here. The service when I was picking up the food was so great, theyre very sweet and friendly. Great value for cost. Will be most definitely visiting again soon.
Very delicious food and very kind staff Vegetarian options: they offer a vegetarian section of the menu Food : 5/5 |
1 order of Tasty salad rolls only came with one table spoon of dipping sauce and one order of sugary sweet, not very tasty (asked for spicy and it wasn t at all) chicken cashew .$40. Would not recommend.
Large portions, prices were really good considering how authentic the dishes are. Really great dine in experience.
This is one of those hidden gems. The restaurant is quaint and cozy. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing! I have only tried about 1/4 of the menu so far and it has all been delicious. If youre looking for a new favourite Thai restaurant, do yourself a favour and check out Ruamit Thai!
Everything is super sweet. If youre into that, its good, but if youre looking for traditional Thai its a little off base.
Nice place to visit. A hidden Gem. Excellent food and service
Best Thai in Sherwood park. Great prices, plate sizes, and amazing flavour. Won t eat anywhere else!
Fantastic food! Online ordering experience was completely seamless.
We sat at a table for 15 minutes. The serve lady was on the phone and then just went to the back ignoring us. A delivery driver came in and she told him he is early when he said he s on time. It looks like they just do not care.
Large quantities of excellent food. Friendly staff.
Lets just say.....ill drive from North edmonton to get food from this place. LOVED IT!!
I had a hair cut next door and it was late when I got out and I seen this tai restaurant so I went in and ordered take out. I placed my order and asked if I could get a beer while I waited and was told they havent renewed their liquor license. I paid $52 plus a $5 tip. when I got home I was appalled at the small amount of food in each tray as they were not even half full and the soup was a small cup worth. The food tasted disgusting and for $22 a dish for half the amount I would get anywhere else, I recommend you spend your money elsewhere. I would never come here again. This is the first review I have ever written
I don t know how another reviewer could state that they have large portions This is crazy how small the portions are Maybe it being takeout they know you won t look into the container and by the time you get home it s too late?? Anyways you might want to dine in and then you can at least complain to their face that they re overcharging $20+ for something that can barely allow two people to have a serving. Good flavours but overpriced and deceptive pictures/ packaging.
Great food. Too much money
Went for Dinner on a Sunday at around 7 pm, so my expectations were low to begin with however I did not expect it to be this bad. Initial entry to restaurant: Was not greeted even with a hello, rather the woman that approached us simply stared at us vacantly until I told her that it we would like to dine in (2 of us). She genuinely seemed surprised or annoyed we were asking to eat in the restaurant. She then sat us down at the table and gave us menus and then went back in the kitchen area for about 5 min before coming out again and taking our order. Since we were the only two people in the back, I found this wait time a bit excessive but while waiting I observed two skip the dishes employees arrive to pick up orders so I let it slide. Our order: 1 fish cake appetizer 1 beef spring rolls order 2 orders of soup -Tom Yam -Tom Kha I also ordered some green tea, a Pepsi and some water. Drinks took about another 5 minutes to come out and she forgot the Pepsi as well. The water had lemon in it which I did not want but I feel that might be a bit picky so I will not hold it against them. Green tea was actually quite nice so it wasnt all bad. Ok, now for a review of the food itself. Fish cakes - Absolutely horrendous. They resembled tiny patty cakes that were very thin and looked like they were pan fried. However when I bit into it, the texture was very rubbery and I suspect they are simply frozen and then heated. They did taste like fish however...so...ya.. 0/5 Spring Rolls - The appearance of these rolls were satisfactory, however when I bit into it, there was hardly any meat and the taste was mediocre at best. I have had many spring rolls before and these were very underwhelming in flavor. 1/5 Tom Yam Soup - Ok to be fair I have never had this soup before, at any Thai restaurant so I really did not know what to expect. It was described as having, mushrooms, tomatoes, bamboo, beef slices in a hot/sour broth. Sounds pretty good right? -It was absolutely awful and I would rather drink dish detergent than order this soup again. The broth was similar to drinking pure vinegar and it was so acidic it was burning my mouth. It was torturous trying to finish the soup and I left it largely untouched. 0/5 Tom Kha - This soup was slightly better but the broth, despite having some sort of coconut milk added to dilute the searing acidity of the vinegar, was still horrible and not an enjoyable experience. - The vegetables looked like they came from a can and the amount of chicken in the soup was a joke. I understand that times might be tight for restaurants and they want to minimize food costs/maximize profits, however if you continue to serve this way with inflated prices you are surely headed for closure. 1/5 Service - I did not have much expectations for service after the initial lukewarm greeting and it continually disappointed. - I then informed her that the I did not enjoy the soup and she did not even ask why but simply responded with, I guess you do not like Thai food. Really???? Absolutely arrogant and if this type of customer service is typical at this location then I suspect that many patrons will leave here largely unsatisfied. My guess is that a lot of the orders from this restaurant are from take out so I suspect that in-service dining is secondary which should not be the case. I think this is a backwards mentality and that people actually coming to dine in your establishment should be given priority. 0/5 Ambiance This was the one highlight of the visit, I found the tiny restaurant to be quite cozy and welcoming and the Thai music they had playing in the background was also quite nice. It had a slightly rundown feel to it, as the menus were very old, sometimes just hard written and the seats were ripped and taped up, however it appeared to be clean and I do not have a lot of complaints about the actual venue itself. 3/5
Excellent food for a good price
Disappointing food.. The beef curry was okay but a medium was super hot... also the portions are small for $20!! The pad Thai was okay. The chicken satay was chewy and dry.... Pretty disappointing really wont be ordering again from here...
I know delivery isn t the best way to get food, but I ve never had to throw out what I had ordered. we ate a little, but neither dish was great. To top it off they served burnt tofu. I don t understand how it made it out the door.
Very disappointing. Ordered (delivery) Pad Thai Krung Tep, Masamun Nua and veg spring rolls. Pad Thai was good. The spring rolls had a weird medicinal taste to them and the Masamun Nua (beef curry) was full of raw onions, overcooked carrots and chewy beef bits. It was so bad I threw out these two dishes . I wish I could ask for a refund. I will not order from Ruamit Thai again.
Excellent Thai food ! The favors are exceptional - the quantities are enough to fill up my 62 husband ! We enjoy the food and the service so much so , we drive from Edmonton ! This a family owned and operated business so very happy to support local .
Really cheap on the amount of meat you get with each dish. The price is equal to a high end Thai restaurant without the high end part. Pad Thai was decent but better in the food court at the mall. Probably wont go back.
Placed a large order for a medical office. The food was amazing. Everyone was talking about how great it was and they would definitely order again.
Very good thai cuisine more homely
This place is amazing. The food is incredible. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the decor is very beautiful and tasteful. We will be coming back again!
Great place friendly staff
Great Thai food, would highly recommend! The green curry and pad Thai in particular were very very good.
Small run restaurant. Food is always great, our favorite Thai food in the park. Nothing fancy, but we go for the food!
So good! Everything is delicious! Pad Thai and cashew chicken is great!
Awesome food!! Ordered a late birthday din din [ 8:00 pm ] and 20 mins later tada! Easy and friendly pickup. Best Red Currie in town. Yum!!
Excellent service, and even better food. Definitely recommend eating there.
The Pad thai is amazing. Great food.
The food was alright. Our waitress was very friendly and polite but a little slow with service. We waited for about 10 minutes to place our order (we were the only people ordering in the restaurant). The dishes came out promptly after the sluggish start though. In the end, the service was friendly and the food was ok.
Great food!
First time here. Enjoyed the food, very authentic.
Love love love this place. Food is amazing whether you eat in or take out. Been going here for years and will continue to.
Very good thai restaurant in Sherwood Park. Lunch menu was very affordable and delicious. Will come again.
Forgot to serve us after taking our order and they did not realize until we noticed 3 other tables that came after us got their food. Waited an hour for our food that came out one at a time. Not to mention how small their green curry and other main dishes are for the high price. Staff was pretty positive and didnt say much though. Place was really clean. Flavour of food was alright but I still would prefer another Thai place that has larger portions as I usually go when I want to share with a group of 4 people. Theres room for improvement for sure. Place was busy so maybe it was a one off for my friends and I that day.
Ordered the Green Curry Chicken $16.95 and the Garlic Pork $17.95. When the two dishes came to our table we were dumbfounded by how tiny they were. We looked at each other with disbelief. There wasnt enough there for one person let alone two. To make make matters worse, the curry was a thin watery soup with a minuscule amount of chicken and the same with the small plate of Garlic Pork. Maybe five small pieces of pork. No wonder the waitress asked us if we wanted rice. I now regret eating it and should have just paid what we owed and walked out. Should have taken pictures.
Meet there with friends usually once a month for supper. Good food and reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.
Very expensive restaurant ,$17 in average for the main course, the chicken and beef appetizers were tasteless and deep fried instead of grilled ,the chicken curry was watery and more like a soup, very little meat but a lot of peppers.wont go back.
Best Thai food
The food is good but not great. We waited for quite awhile for our order. The tom yum soup is very sour. The beef dish that we ordered is sugary... its too sweet but according to the server it is spicy.
The most amazing real Thai food in Edmonton... yummy!!! Owner Praneet is so sweet and attentive to customers needs :) Thank you!!! So good
Always amazing food!
Service was slow, there was duct tape on the chairs, and they wouldnt accept our groupon we purchased. Looks like a business thats suffering and possibly going out of business.
Great food, excellent service. We will be back.
It can be a little pricey, but you get a quality meal. Best enjoyed as a group, sharing plates.
Great local Thai place to eat. We had their Tom Yum soup tonight and it was fantastic! Pad Thai never disappoints either.
Great to have the whole place to ourselves! But Monday night is less busy everywhere. Great food! Free spring rolls! No menu offered for drinks?
Awesome place for some great food
Second time here and not disappointed. Good size portions for the price. Good service. Makes me want to visit Thailand. We will be back for sure.
Great food
Not happy. They denied our Groupon on Valentines Day. The fine print of the Groupon stated not valid on federal holidays I explained to the manager that Valentines is not a federal holiday...... not a good experience.
Excellent food would definately come back
Overall a very awkward experience. We werent sure whether we should seat ourselves or wait, so we waited for a while to be seated and then a while to receive menus and water. Then when we got to ordering drinks, 1 of the 3 of us were completely ignored and had to wait longer to place our drink order. The food was average at best. We had a groupon to use but they didnt seem to know how to use groupons so the whole experience was just awkward and not the most enjoyable. They also played spa-type music that basically put us to sleep.
Food was good. Not too busy. Good service.
Pad Thai is alright. Soup is 4 pcs of floating whole button mushroom 2 shrimp and hot sauce with water. And to spicy...
Decent but not great.
Authentic Thai food, friendly staff, intimate setting :)
The food really made my day! Thanks to our amazing server Nisha and the excellent chefs I am stuffed! It s really real Thai!!! Will return time and time again. Cheers!
Food is very good. Is expensive for the serving sizes.
The dishes were so small that they should only be considered appetizers. For $15-$19 a dish there wasnt sufficient meat or seafood in the dish to be noticed. Flavours werent bad but barely enough to taste.
Food was average. and portions are really very small for the price you pay. The place was really small. There is no waiting area. There just One sever and the TILL IS IN THE KICHEN Area.
Great food and service
One of Sherwood Parks best kept secrets. Delicious food in a cozy setting. Prices are reasonable for the quality.
Delicious Thai food. I recently ordered a tofu dish for a vegetarian friend though and they used pork. It was still labelled tofu.
Food was very very stale.
Average food but small portions with very poor service. More expensive than other thai restaurants in Edmonton.
Food was okay. Friendly service. Place is a bit run down. Prices on the high side. Serving size adequate. Not a bad place to eat but nothing special.
I bought Groupon discount for Ruamit- we tried this place twice. The service is good; the food is good but not awesome! :)
Horrible service. We drove all the way from Edmonton to Sherwood park to eat here. The restaurant had 2 tables filled, the rest was empty. The server asked us to come back next time because they had a large family coming in. The owner saw us and heard the conversation, but didnt say anything. So we left. We will never come back here again. Worst service a restaurant could ever offer.
Soup nr 15 delicciossso really delicious ! The nr 32 chx was good too and nr 50 fried rice i wont recommend . But this is matter of individual taste. What is important that the servings were very small. Like the soup bowl was the smallest they could find probably. The entree wasnt too big neither how we used to have in other restaurant. And they have prices 1 dollar up in the restaurant to compare to website.almost everything 1 dollar more if you dine in.
Delicious Thai Food.
Perhaps more authentic experientially than some people would appreciate. It is indeed a bit on the smaller side, with stereotypic paint colors and decorations. The food is also very authentically Thai. Excelent food and reasonable portions. Not cheap, but certainly good value if you get the groupon.
Great food as always!
Staff are very warm and welcoming, layout is small but not cramped, and decor matches the cuisine fairly well. Food tastes pretty good and portion sizes are reasonable for the price. This may be one of the better places in the Edmonton area for Thai, but if youve traveled around and eaten Thai elsewhere, you may find it a bit lacking.
Cause why not
I dont know why this place is never busy, it has amazing Thai food.
Been coming here for years and it is always a treat. Try something new on the menu.
Service was very slow and very pricey of what you get . Portions are very small . We ordered the salad roll , chili rice and 3 dishes . My husband ordered one of the curry beef dish they had to supplement the potatoes with extra veggies because they ran out of potatoes . Then we wanted to order their fried banana dessert but they ran out of fried banana too . The salad roll was the best part of our order . Although the portions are small we probably left half of our order not eaten . Service was half decent . We wont go back .
Awesome food
Food and service was very good. Will definitely be going back.
Good Thai food.
It was OK but very expensive for what you get. I used a Groupon so they make you use the evening menu even though it was lunch time. It appears the same meal is more expensive in the evening.
Very clean Super awesome staff Enjoyed the place Cant wait to bring my family that loves spicy food
Great food. Great friendly service. Portions seem small but are satisfying. Will go back.
Bought a Groupon for this place. Showed up to use it and they had a sign on the door saying open for skip the dishes and take out only and it was during their advertised business hours. We ended up ordering takeout to use up the Groupon and the food was really good, but I wouldnt go back since their hours of service seem to change without notice. There are a lot of other good Thai restaurants that will allow me to sit and eat.
Great spot. Authentic cuisine. I thought it was a tiny bit expensive but certainly not outrageous
Got food poisoning after eating here. I would not eat here.
Good food! Service isn t top notch
Expensive, small portions, calamari was very fishy! Unfortunately the good Thai restaurants were closed on Monday, so gave these guys a try. 5 dishes plus rice was $100. Portions were very small, barely fed 4 adults. Squid was NOT good. We had traditional dishes, green curry and pad Thai, along with beef and squid. I love to support local, but this makes it difficult. We had take out so no comment on service.
Came to Edmonton on vacation and looking for some great Thai food. Saw the reviews on Ruamit and went there. Ruamit is a great space but I was disappointed at how expensive the meals were. I ordered the garlic shrimp with a side of white rice (which was an extra charge. I was not impressed with the size of the portion. Had a $30 meal that didnt even satisfy my appetite. Not worth the trip to this place.
I absolutely love the Panang Chicken Curry dish!! The waiter suggested it as well as the Green Curry which we ordered both. For me, the Panang trumps the green curry and I have a hard time ordering anything else now when we go. They are always friendly and very accommodating. I ordered the green papaya salad which is not on the lunch menu (only the dinner one) but they were happy to make it anyways! It seems about average for the price of Thai food. I have never had cheap Thai anywhere, it always seems a little over priced anywhere you go.
Amazing pad thai. Cosy restaurant with friendly staff. Booth seats have duct tape on them.
Amazing Thai food! Friendly staff :) Eat here all the time!
Lovely food, it was very tasty and awesome. Also, the place looked good, although they didnt have a drink menu and the menu looks very old. The food though was so great.
Deelish!! Food was wonderful, service was fast and friendly. I have a fish/shellfish/seafood allergy and they were able to accommodate that.
Consistently good never disappoints. Green chicken curry always good as well as Pad Thai.
