Awesome homemade food and very friendly staff.
The food was delicious, spiced just right, my order was made special order due to food issues and on a busy Friday night it was packaged thoughtfully for my trip home and the service was wonderful
Truly Mexican, a great menu, but lacks vibrancy, colour...pizazz!
My two daughters ate here last weekend. Ordered food off the menu. Ate the meal. When going to pay for the meal, the bill presented was almost twice what was expected. They were told by the waitress “Oh those prices were supposed to be changed on the menu”. Pretty easy to pull on a couple teenage kids who don’t understand the scanning code of conduct or that there are serious ethical lines this restaurant was very comfortable crossing. Regardless of why YOU forgot to change your prices, it isn’t the customers fault. The waitress had 4 opportunities of contact to communicate this error. Unfortunately she waited till my 14 year old was standing with a bank card in her hand. Integrity matters in life. How we conduct ourselves is how business is also conducted. Very upset by this. Spend your money elsewhere would be my suggestion.
Been there before always good I decided to take my husband out for Supper. He enjoyed it. We should all support our downtown stores and restaurants.
Authentic Mexican food. The restaurant itself can benefit from updated styling and better lighting but food is good. They also sell imported products like hot sauces at very good price points.
We had supper here while going to see the lights at the park. We had guacamole dip, the Mexican platter and chicken fajitas. The food was good and the service too but not as good as food we've had in Mexico.
Really nice place. Good food and good atmosphere; I've eaten here many times with my friends and family. It's owned by a nice Mexican Mennonite family, and I've found service to be good. Definitely try the chimichangas. It is also worth noting that it has many good vegetarian options.
Just tried to go for lunch and when we entered we were told they dont open until 2pm. Sign out front shows they close at 2pm with no opening time

The staff are friendly and the food is good. Their poutine is excellent! They serve a good menu that includes traditional Mexican goods as well as Canadian favourites.
We always LOVE this beautiful authentic Mexican style restaurant! The owners/employees are such wonderful people! Great food, and recommend this place every day of the week!!! Definitely a must place to eat! 2 thumbs up
I had the guac and chips, chicken chimichongas, and a Strawberry margharita. It was awesome. Best margharita Ive had seriously! Simple ingredients for the guac made it authentic without all the added flavors you find in most restaurants! Love that they had authentic glass bottle coke and jorrito and they spoke Spanish to each other, which made me feel like I had traveled further than simcoe. It was about a 2 hour drive for me. Went there just to see what the hype was about. They didnt disappoint! Im not local to simcoe, but #supportlocal

Waited 20mins for a menu, ordered drinks ... waited another 20mins ... Food order still not taken. Saw a table beside us who sat down after us get served. Gave up and left, as we were walking down the road waitress yells at us our drinks we were ready. 40min wait just for a drink and our food order wasnt even taken yet. Told the waitress we waited too long and we had to get going and she yelled at us well what I am I going to do with the drinks . No apology for waiting 40min for a drink. Lots of Mexican places in the area go elsewhere if you dont have all night to spare.
I don t think I have EVER had a worse meal in my life. Both my husband and myself ordered hard shell beef tacos. The tacos shells were hard as rocks and burnt. All what was inside shell was a terribly BURNT piece of meat. To be honest you couldn t tell what kind of meat it actually was. It was impossible even to take a bite and tear into the piece of meat. ALSO very scary as a large toothpick was in taco that my husband bit into- server did not mention. Maybe they were having a bad day but WOW it was truly hideous.

Comfortable to eat good food!!
My first time there and I loved it. The food was wonderful and tasted so homemade that you might think that your mother made it. So many selections it will take you months to try everything. They also now offer a none Mexican option of soup and sandwich for lunch. I cant wait to go back.

This is our go to local spot for Mexican food. We celebrate many birthdays there within our family and friends. The food is generous, consistent and very good and they serve local beer and cider. Love this place.

Youd never think this little place was such a gem walking past. Pretty from the outside, dated in the inside but WOW the food!! True authentic food. We tried the Nachos loaded, now THESE are nachos! Beef Chimichangas, Fluatas, and chicken Quesadillas. Everything amazing!! As full as we were , we ordered another Nacho platter since we were just visiting town for a short time and not returning anytime soon. Excellent experience with big food flavour in a small town

I took my son and his girlfriend to Amigas and we were all extremely satisfied with our meals. I have been there many times over the course of the past two years. The owner lived in Mexico for, I believe, a couple of decades so she knows the cuisine very well. It isnt a fancy place but its charming and the prices are right.
THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD, EVER!! The lady that runs it grew up in Mexico and lives in my hometown. Uniquely nestled in downtown Simcoe. All food is so fresh and you certainly get your moneys worth. Decor is authentic.
If i could give this place no stars i would. Service was awful. Food was sub par at best. Everything was soaked in oil. The best part was the tomatoes on my salad...and they were even a bit over ripe. There was a rotting lime on a shelf beside some pictures in plain view. The cook handeled money and didnt wash her hands. It was just so bad in so many ways. Not sure how they are even open.

Really bad. Even that they claim themselves Mexican, the Mexican food is not authentic it is horrible ....go elsewhere. There are so many places to choose from. This is not one of them
Didnt even stay long enough to try the food. We watched the cook dip her finger into our guacamole dip and put it into her mouth. Health department needs to be notified. Never again.
