My friend introduced me to this place a year or so ago when I was visiting. The young lady in the bottle shop explained to us about their refillable growler option and I paid a premium amount (at least an extra $20) to have the refillable container. She said we could bring it back and have it refilled anytime. So, on Friday, we returned only to have the owner insist, in a very rude and dismissive manner, that they haven’t done this in 4 to 5 years. When we tried to explain that it was just last year his staff had sold this to us (bottle clearly marked with their name!), he doubled down on his insistence and rudeness. When I asked for the deposit back, he refused to give me the money or take back the bottle, stating “any microbrewery will refill it” (except theirs?!?!?!?!) and said they don’t do it anymore because they can't keep up with demand! (As we stood in the empty business). So, apparently customer service is not even a consideration and the $20 and being “right” is more important. Zero stars. We won’t be back. EDIT: I have eaten at this location once before. The service was extremely slow and the food was, at best, forgettable and overpriced. Inherent in "atmosphere" is how you treat your customers. Again, zero stars isn't an option, unfortunately. After doing some checking, most places WON'T refill someone else's growler and this expensive "collector's item" is now at the local recycling facility as I no longer had a use or a desire to keep it as a reminder of this extremely negative interaction. As for the "business model", there was literally not one customer there except us and we left empty-handed and unhappy when it was our intention to stay and have a drink. Doubling down on being "right" rather than taking customer feedback to make necessary changes (rudeness and lack of customer service/satisfaction seems to be a common theme) will likely be the downfall of this brewery. Unfortunate.
Disappointed I recently visited this location with high hopes, but my experience was nothing short of dreadful. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that customer service was not a priority. The staff was indifferent, barely acknowledging our presence, and seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to paying customers. Like Melanie, we were also seated in the dark, cramped, dark hall while the dining room was empty. Not allowed in. Say what? We felt like second class citizens. I’ve been in customer service all my life and I was shocked. When I finally received my beer, it was an absolute disappointment. It was flat, tasteless, and far from what one would expect from a brewery that supposedly takes pride in its craft. It felt like I was drinking something that had been sitting out for days. I even had to double-check to see if it was the right order because it tasted nothing like what was advertised. The overall atmosphere didn’t help either. The place lacked any warmth or welcoming vibe, making it clear that they couldn’t care less about the customer experience. The lack of attention to detail, poor service, and subpar product made this visit a complete waste of time and money. If you're looking for quality beer and decent service, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. This place doesn’t deserve your business. Avoid at all costs!
Had dinner there on Friday Aug 02. Had drinks on the cool and huge patio before hand which included a nice chat with the owner/chef. Food, beer, service and atmosphere were exceptional. Yes, some of the items on the menu take time to prepare but service staff points that out right at the start and they are well worth the wait! We will be back!
Great experience even tho we met them last minute and reservation was a bit late. Jo and Yvonne have been very patient with us. The food was amazing, the place and set up was exceptional, service was great too. Our guests loved everything. Our small gathering post wedding because of your family was a success. My husband and I are very thankful. We will definitely visit again when we’re back in Canada.
Last night we decided to take a drive out to New Limberg Brewing Company for a drink and something to eat. This place is in an old school house seemingly in the middle of nowhere between Simcoe and Delhi. As you walk in you enter an empty area with tables in it. You continue walking to the left where you are then greeted by the friendly staff. So I will be 100% transparent with you about the next part which is also the reason for a 3 star atmosphere rating. So the staff asked us if we were there for beer or if we wished to dine in. Of course we said we were looking to dine in. I was completely thrown off by the fact that there is a seating fee of $8.50 per person. The reason on the menu was to give the best experience. I have never ever come across a seating fee before. We reluctantly agreed to the seating fee and were then seated. It was a way fancier dining experience than I was expecting also and I felt a little under dressed. The ambiance was warm, cozy and a little upscale. The food (which was the reason we went) is inspired by dutch and Indonesian culture. There were staples of dutch fare like croquettes, bitterballen, and of course raw herring with onions. There was also of course a range of french fry options including toppings like mayo, curry and peanut sauce. They also have really good pizza options as well if you aren't feeling adventurous. The boy had a dutch meat pie which was a lot like a shepherd's pie but with curry spices. I opted for the greek pizza which was absolutely delicious. The dough is probably one of the best I have ever had. If you aren't into the seating fee and just want to try the beer. You can sit in the hall (much like being punished at school as a kid haha) and enjoy a flight from a table out there. I tried the Belgian Blond, Petit Blond,Wit and Grisette and enjoyed them all very much. All in all we had a really nice time. So if you are looking for a bit of adventure and to try something new THIS is the place to go.
Amazing food quality, beer selection and atmosphere. All five stars. Had the bitterballen, spring rolls and baked Brie as apps and Nasi Goreng as a main one day then went back the same weekend for chicken wings and pizza. So good we went twice in one weekend. Thank you!
Great spot!!! Interesting & unusual craft beers, served as flights of samples or full glasses of the one you like best. No full meal menu, but an amazing selection of snack foods, prepared to order. The bruschetta is brilliant (and generous enough for our group of four), and the sausage rolls is definitely TOO GOOD to share!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon here on the patio. Tried a flight and a Belgian Blonde. Discovered that you can cycle here via bicycle trails and visit other wineries and breweries as well. The public school building set up is intriguing and inviting. Nice bar inside and outdoor patio.
An old elementary school, reprocessed. Unreal!! Patio vibe was incredible, and great flight of beers on tap. Gonna plan a trip back with my boys!! Sláinte! Food : 5/5 |
The beer was great! The waitress was terrible she knew nothing about the food and never came back to follow up or see if we wanted another drink. The weeds are all over the place. Very overpriced. Portions very small. Very disappointed
Disappointing. Bathroom sink was crusted with the kind of filth that is only present after not being cleaned for at least a week. Brought my dad for Father s Day who ordered the wings. After an hour and a half of waiting for the food, we cancelled the order and went through a drive through because when we asked how much longer they would take we were told 10 more minutes . . For wings. And a side of fries. Is New Limburg going out of business? That was the vibe. Felt like an empty shell of what it once was. As I said, disappointing.
Terrible. We accidentally stopped here, thinking it was part of our Toast of the Coast Sip Into Spring Tour. After being told (rather disdainfully) that they were not on the tour we decided to stay for lunch. Menus were brought. No offer to bring a drink while we perused the menu. We sat there, being COMPLETELY IGNORED for another 10 minutes so we left. No other customers in the place either
Great food and great beer. Out of the way, but worth the trip!
We had been here a few times before and really liked it. You could have a beer in the main room. We recommended this place to our friends and took them for a beer when we were out for a day trip in the area. When we went there, we were told that we couldnt sit in the main room because it was setup for dining. (Setup for dining at 2pm??) They have additional tables setup in the dark hallway and we were told we could sit there if we were just having a beer. The main room wasnt even full at that time! We felt inferior because we werent dining & shoved into the hallway. We were put off by this and didnt think sitting in the dark hallway was that appealing so we decided to leave. Terrible business planning. They just lost customers...for good! We will not be back.
Loved the experience. Great service, kind staff. The greek pizza was amazing. Beautiful cozy atmosphere
Not impressed. won t be back. Bathrooms are disgusting . Took over an hour to get food. Took over twenty minutes to get one flight of beer. Way way over priced ! They need to realize What other local places have to offer .
Terrible. I had my husbands birthday party here. Hot month of July. It was awful. Terrible service. I ordered food for 30 people and I swear there was only enough for 20. As they brought food out they dropped some of it on the ground. Didn t replace what was lost. Service was slow slow slow. People couldn t get served with a nice cold beer. Took forever. No water. No ice. It was terrible and it cost me a lot of money. I was so embarrassed. I for one will never ever go back.
Excellent is an apt description of the New Limburg Brewing Company. If you like hearty and tasteful craft beer this is the place for you! Particularly if you like Belgian style beers, ales and saisons. Highly recommend. The food is very good too as is the venue.
What the hell is this place
$8.50 to sit Food. Beer. Tip. Taxes. Now your adding this? My money not going here!
Never thought I d be leaving a negative review of one of my favourite breweries, but unfortunately New Limburg has declined severely in the past few years. A very unique brewery seemingly in the middle of nowhere, New Limburg used to host movie nights, video game nights and live entertainment. Now none of that exists. The beer has taken a sharp decline since the old brewmaster left, and the food; while very good and super unique, has skyrocketed in price. Add to the fact that now just to even experience the old classroom vibes of the former Nixon school will cost you 8.50 just to sit in the taproom (which isn t advertised anywhere so be prepared) otherwise be relegated to the hallway with only snacks. I understand staffing is a major issue for them, but it just seems like they ve given up trying. For what once was a very successful operation, it s now turned into a shell of itself. I sincerely hope they can turn things around and go back to what they used to be: a great brewery with superb atmosphere, a passion for Belgian beers and incomparable food. Take notes from breweries in the area, make the people want to come, don t be an afterthought.
READ BEFORE YOU GO Showed up only to be told that there is now an $8.50 cover charge to sit in the main room. Thats the nice room with plants, windows and the chalk wall you see all the pictures of online. If you dont want to pay the $8.50 then they will be happy to seat you in the only other area which is a dark hallway with no windows near the washroom. We have been here several time before and explained that we have never had to pay before but we were told that its a new policy, no exceptions. This place was already overpriced as it is and now because of this greedy, idiotic policy we will for sure never be back.
Worst customer service. Stuck us in a hallway unless we wanted to pay $9 per person. It really is a school atmosphere, I felt like I was in detention. Got yelled at for walking onto the patio, I guess they have killer dogs. What a joke. Do NOT go here if you actually like beer, overpriced also.
Will not go there again with the special $8.50 per person cover charge for a dining charge. Or you are seated in the dark hallway. Not that special of a restaurant. The floor was dirty and gross for the special dining experience. Food was OK but not fine dining cuisine to warrant an extra charge.
I ve been to New Limburg quite a few times. This time was different. They now charge a cover fee of $8.50 (per person) just to sit inside the actually room. If you don t pay, you have to sit in the dark dingy hallway. I will not be going back. So many other breweries in the area that don t have this ridiculous fee and much more personable. Not a good change.
Heard good things unfortunately did not have a great experience. The first thing that was said to us when we walked in was I hope you don t want food, it s a really long wait . Fair enough I suppose, we were just stopping by for some drinks anyways. Secondly, they wanted us to pay an $8.50 per person cover charge to sit in the nice dining room, or we could sit in the dark dingy hallway or outside (it was pretty chilly) for free. We sat outside, all four of us ordered a beer, 3 out of 4 beers were flat. The server did not return to check on us or ask how first sips were. Anyways, way more breweries to chose from. We will not be returning.
We hosted our informal wedding rehearsal dinner here last week and it was fantastic - beyond our expectations! The food and drinks were all excellent and the atmosphere was beautiful. The staff were all so kind and welcoming, and took great care of our group all evening. Everyone travelled in from out of town for the event, and they all commented on how much they loved the New Limburg. Thank you for hosting us for such a memorable night! We cant wait to come back!
Worst bruschetta Ive ever had in my life. Untoasted baguette with cold diced tomato, drizzled with balsamic - it was really unappetizing. Im not sure if they got a new chef or their chef just stopped caring, but wow has their food gone downhill. The $8 dining room charge is just embarrassing. The service is borderline rude. Theyre lucky their beer is fantastic, but it might not keep them afloat forever. Good luck.
The worst dining experience I can recall. They had a surplus change of $25 for 3 people to eat in dining room. It was not a hot day but it was so hot in the room we had to leave half way through our meal. They said it would would 45 min for the mains (Indonesian) and we opted for something else given we had a 2 yr old with us. So instead we waited for 1 hr for apps pizza and fries My beer was half full and warm . All food was basic quality, and over priced. Such a cute location and love supporting local but unfortunately we won t be returning.
So sad - wont be back. Have been a number of times in the past. Wanted to treat our son and his girlfriend. Shocked to learn they now have an added fee to simply sit inside. We sat outside and service was - to put it kindly - lacking. Very disappointed. Two stars is generous.
A lovely place in beautiful surroundings. The pizza was excellent and they had a fine selection of Belgian style beers. The beer garden at the back is a lovely place to spend a summer evening
Made reservations for a wedding party months ago only to prepare the establishment for a large group but they seemed so ill- prepared and inexperienced. The food was good and it was worth waiting 40 min for but the service was awful. My husband and I paid the bride and groom s tab only to discover, after paying, that another guest already paid it. They let us pay it even though it was already paid. Then when the bride and groom left, THEY WERE CHARGED ANOTHER $234!!! Ridiculous When they tried to correct the server (incompetent and arrogant) refused to believe them and made them pay regardless. A bunch of scammers who triple charged a wedding party and gave the worse service I ve ever seen. Would not recommend unless you like paying for a tab 3 times.
We went for a ride on the rail trail and stopped here for some beer. The beer was awesome! Loved the Quad and the food was delicious! The pizza was amazing and the fries were awesome! We loved the atmosphere and the back patio. We brought our kids this time, but we sure know where our next date day will be! And it was really cool that it was an old school. We will definitely be back!
Bad service!!!! Waited 35 min for a cup of water. Reminding the server a few times.
Service is awful. It took 30 min for water. Servers are sassy. Enter if you have lots of time to wait around. Took an hour n half for food. Food was tasty but a bit pricey.
Unique brewery and interesting craft beer! The food is wonderful
Went with friends who love to visit all breweries before we hit the Norfolk County Fair. We sat in the hallway as they want an $8.50 per person cover charge to sit in the dining room. The pizza was the best part of this visit. Needless to say there was no one in the dining room when we were there. Waitress never came to see how everything was or if we needed anything else. Not attentive at all. Very disappointed will not be going back.
Amazing atmosphere, delicious beer, yummy food. Highly suggest!
Absolutely amazing staff and food. Thank you for an amazing time
Delicious food, great service and fantastic drink options. A fun atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. Being in an old school adds an extra level of charm. Ordered some apps, pizza, and drinks - all were fantastic. It was nice that there was a variety of drink options (wine + cider). Once the weather gets warmer, I think I ll be trying the patio there next!
This place is amazing...lots of different food options from the Netherlands, but the best thing Ive had so far was the Pizza. It was definitely the best Pizza Ive had in all of Canada. Aside from that the service was nice, friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is incredible and brings you back to school days. The drink options are great and I couldnt ask for more. Love this place!
All around great food, and good times.
Sadly this has been the worst experience I ve ever had at an establishment. We were treated with hostility and aggression from either the owner or the man who runs the place. Clearly there had been some misunderstanding within the New Limburg staff which quickly escalated to us having the cops called on us and we had barely sat down. Writing this it sounds like we clearly had to have done something wrong but in reality the only wrong thing we did that night was support this business. This man wouldn t allow us a chance to speak or explain our situation about how the hostess gave us permission to use the patio but insisted we leave immediately and that the police were on their way. We were very compliant, obviously confused but we left and as we were walking away he went full alpha and says by the way that girl is fired . So heads up! This place has really really poor service.
This used to be my husband s favorite place to go. Last night, his friends threw him a diaper shower, since we are expecting our first child in this upcoming week. His friends forgot to make a reservation, so they couldn t dine in which is understandable! They were able to still buy some beers, but had to find somewhere else to go. When the boys saw that there was some seating outdoors that was empty, they asked the server girl if they could sit outside since no one was there, and she told them that was fine, they could all sit out there. Before all of them even had time to open their beers, the owner/manager came out to the boys furious and angry with them. He proceeded to yell at the boys, telling them they all had to leave right then and there, they weren t allowed sitting there. Stunned, the boys tried to communicate that they were given the go ahead from the server but they couldn t get a word out because the owner/manager was yelling repeatedly at them and threatened to call the police. Willingly, the boys calmly left after being yelled at and threatened for a simple misunderstanding. Unfortunately, we will never bring our business here again after experiencing that type of immaturity and unnecessary, misdirected anger.
Food was delicious. But seemed to have poor service on Saturday evening. I ordered 2 items for friends that were on their way, but then only 1 order came, so they had to share. We had to indicate we needed more drinks to the 4 staff that was just standing around talking. They didnt come ask ever if we needed more drinks. Also, my daughter ordered a small fry ($4.50) and waitress asked if she wanted ketchup & mayo! Only about 20 fries were in the dish! When I had to go up to the counter to get my bill, (which was $130) they charged $1.50 for ketchup & $1.50 for mayo!! Ive never paid for ketchup before anyplace! The manager wouldnt take off the charge when I explained the negative experience either. He showed me a menu where its in small printing the extra condiment fees. A small fry is .50 each condiment item, not $1.50. So he was arguing with me but never looked at my bill to see I was overcharged in the first place! His reason for charging for ketchup is to offset the reasonable price of his fries!!! In speaking with someone else today that had gone to new limburg yesterday....they shared their experience of paying $1.50 ,instead of. 50 for mayonaise for a small fries! Not sure why the staff is overcharging this crazy fee.
For years this has been my go to spot for a meet up with friends or to bring out of town visitors, so Im disappointed to say Ill not be back anytime soon. Ive been here twice in two months. In April I visited with an out of town guest after checking online to be sure they were open. Upon arrival we learned only the bottle shop was open and the owner was actually rude when I expressed our disappointment. He said we should have called for reservations (he told me theyre normally so busy theres hardly room for walk-ins) and then wed have known that they werent serving food. (Thursday around 4:30pm) We bought some beer, went on our way and I chalked up his cranky attitude to frustrations due to post covid staff troubles. Today (a month later) after checking out their menu online, and calling to confirm that the patio is open and service is available, I visited with my daughter (visiting from Australia) and grand-kids. The service was ok, but again the info online is incorrect. I mentioned this to the server who advised me that yes they know this. Due to staff shortages they greatly reduced the menu months ago and have only a light bar menu available. I was surprised to see that they charge extra ketchup for your fries!? Anyway, Ill be exploring other options in our area for craft beer and a bite.
Best pizza that I tried in the last five years...
Food was good! The portions were very generous. The space is cute we ve sat outback previously and really enjoy that space as well. Their playlist is always on point! The service was a bit off. We didn t feel unwelcome but there was no real personally in the service we received from both the hostess and server.
The location was absolutely beautiful and the beer was good. The service that we received upon arrival was absolutely brutal the gentleman that well Id like to say greeted us but he didnt even say hello.. no smile nothing.. we asked a few questions about the location as its truly an amazing spot he couldnt have cared less about. Really ruined out first visit and we drove over an hour just to go there... Disappointed.
Lovely place and food and beer! Rachel is the best!
Amazing location, interesting beer. Menu consists mostly of pizza; their kitchen seems to max out at 1 pizza per hour. So count the tables ahead of you and you can predict your wait time
The brewery is an hours drive from where I live so contacted them to ask if reservations were required to dine outside. Couldnt be bothered to reply so took my business elsewhere.
Was not a good experience. Didnt have the beer my husband ordered off the menu or the food. Then he picked a different beer that came with a dead fly in it! My vegetarian pizza tasted exactly like cooking oil. My husbands meal was child size portions. Expensive evening out for a poor experience.
Staff were nice and friendly. The beer was tasty for the two we tried. Sadly they are the most expensive breweries we have tried. The price for a flight was $16.50 and would be more if we added a few of the more expensive brews. 1/2 pints were over $7 for the cheapest beers. First time I have been charged ($1.65) for ketchup for my fries and the medium (one portion) was over $8. Bottle prices at the bottle store were more reasonable. Sadly we will not be back.
I ve only had the food here once and it was fine This is a brewery though and the beer is some of the best in Ontario , all Belgian styles
Had an absolutely awesome experience. Thank you so much
The owners, Jo & Yvonne go out of their way to make sure your experience is spectacular. This brewery is wonderful & their list of awards speak for themselves. Thank you for everything!!
Great beer, definitely more belgian style, not expensive for the size or taste.
Good beer, lots of potential. Inside quarters are too small and owner is unpleasant.
Great service and very friendly definitely recommend this place for its food and a wide range of beers
Great belgian style beer--cant wait until I can try out the patio and food.
Cool atmosphere. Great food. Good service. The beer selection has something for everyone.
Staff is rude and dismissive
I love the New Limberg, being a local I can walk there which is awesome- havent done any sitting in since COVID just been using bottle store, but highly recommend.
Friendly staff and some of the best beer I have ever drank. I have tried a lot of beers over the years and this place is definitely worth a try.
They were understaffed so the service was slow. The group enjoyed the bruschetta and tried a number of drinks.
Great out on the patio. Customer service is top notch!
Unfortunately at this time, cant rate their craft beer. Travelled all the way from Kitchener to the brewery and at the door was a very rude person that just assumed we were there to grab a bite at the patio and we are a family of 5, simply told us to make a reservation for next time and waved us off. We returned home empty handed and disappointed we simply drove to another local brewery and had a total different experience. I feel they should be aware of this and encourage visitors so they dont lose business. Not sure I will come back any time soon, but do hope one day I get to try their beer. #poorcustomerservice
Awesome beer and food, staff is excellent!!
Great brew with good food served by people who care about your experience!
Great beer and super friendly staff. I like it when its not too busy. Very nice seating area inside and out. I usually just buy beers to enjoy at home, they have a bottle shop thats normally open when the beer store is closed :)
Beer is good. The food was okay despite only one order coming 30 min before my date food. So we paid for 1 meal left.
The only beer I didnt absolutely love was the IPA. The Dubbel and the quad were my favorites but the others are very good.
We arrived only to be chastised for not having a reservation at a time when it was not busy; which was a bit off putting. The beers were okay, although not cold. The appetizers were tasty but nothing you wouldnt get from the freezer section at your local grocery store. And the service in the bottle shop was pretty much non-existent. Overall, not very impressed; drove off & found a great brewery 10 kms away.
Got served our appetizer and a drink, no one ever came back to serve us for a hour. Had to get up and leave.
Food was great. I highly recommend the pizza
Excellent and very good food. Beer is very nice.
Food was very good. We had the sloppy Joe pizza and a fresh garden salad.
Service a little slow. Limited menu. Beer was small for what was charged. Will give it another try.
Have loved their beers for ages and finally tried their patio. Great spot for brews and nibbles
NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY. Beautiful atmosphere. Do not bring children or dogs. Very impatient and hold rigid expectations (for kids : dont play on playground equipment which is on property as its a liability issue) (sorry, dont walk on the grass either). food is overpriced and theyd be better off not trying to be so fancy. Id recommend going for drinks only, dont plan to eat. No complaints about the beer which was ok and not special. Would buy their beer from LCBO if chose to but wont return. First time in my life Ive chosen not to tip as the service was that bad. Overall: Nice atmosphere, ok beers, good for young adults without kids. Super duper disappointed. Going home to pound some mediocre beer with some real food after blowing the budget on pizza that left the kids(and us) hungry.
Great food, fantastic beers, but seemed to be understaffed. This is the second time we visited with the same problem. It made the visit feel a bit frazzled and less relaxed.
Excellent Belgian style beer and really nice patio. Unfortunately the food is overpriced and the staff is awkward/borderline unpleasant.
Not a good guest experience today folks. I have been in the business of guest experience my entire life and I have to honestly say they need some training in this department. The host/greeter is not overly friendly or warm. Did not feel welcome. The restaurant is not open to indoor dining (very strange)and we were seated in a grassy area where we were harassed and bitten by flies. We also could not hear the music from that area of the property . The menu is lame. Beef stew being offered in August is not appealing. Not many appetizers offered. It was a really strange menu. I ordered the shrimp appetizer for $16 and it was cooked fine just very watery with no flavour and not unshelled. The rice or pasta with vegetables was pricey and then adding a protein turned it into a $27 dish. Again, with a better guest experience, price can be overlooked as I pay for experience not just the food cost. They have an amazing property and building that they could do so much more with, it s a shame. I d love to offer my advice free of charge as I feel they need a lot of help. This is my second time attending this restaurant so pretty sure I won t be back and won t be recommending. I was so hopeful the second visit today would be grand. It wasn t.
I made a vague reservation for an unclear number of people, for an inexact time. The plan was for a group to start and finish a loooong bike ride at New Limberg. The staff was very accommodating, we worked out our food orders ahead of time, and our food was ready within 20 minutes of us finishing our bike ride. Vegans and omnivores all enjoyed the food, the beer, and the back patio. Covid-19 has set up some challenges, especially in hospitality. No complaints from my group of 20. 11/10 would do this again. Thanks to Conner, Joe, and all the staff.
Good food, terrible service. 30 min for drink order. 2 meals missed. Ridiculous.
Beautiful place, good food but HORRIBLE service with passive aggressive attitude from the waitress and waiter. They destroyed the experience.
The beer was delicious!!
Great place to visit, being a repurposed school this brewery has a cool vibe and a nice patio.
Even 1 star more than enough me and friends went there ordered some food asked for grilled pizza they said it s going to take 1 1/2 hrs to get ready pizza can you believe it so had to ordered something else not good service would not recommended anyone. Ps: they treat people on what ethnicity you are that what I felt
Been going here since it opened. Beer is fantastic, service is great and the owners are constantly improving their business with renovations or menu adjustments. We love their Dubbel and Black Sheep.
Ive always enjoyed the beers from New Limburg, finally made the trip out to the brewery. Sadly, the outdoor patio is NOT dog friendly, considering the place was empty out there. The setting outside is pleasant enough, out of a old school. The service we did receive from being turned away felt very stuffy, non inclusive. Ill just keep supporting this great brewery from the LCBO.
My favorite place to get Belgian style beers in Southern Ontario. It is a bit if drive for me, but well worth it.
The food is AMAZING
Great evening with friends. Old school house decor as it was an old elementary school in the past. Cozy atmosphere.
Great beer!
Selection of craft beers, friendly service, comfortable dining area, good food (pub style), and a bottle shop. Remote location but very relaxing. Free on site parking.
Loved our visit here, there is something outlandishly awesome about this brewery being located in a form school. We didnt eat, but the beer selection is well crafted and tasty. Worth the trip!
Had our Christmas party here. Great service, great food, A+ beers!
Great beer, great food and unique location
Good service great food
Fantastic brewery built in a decommissioned school. We stopped in had some appetizers bruschetta and baked Brie ,and tried a number of the beers I had the Bruin it was a Belgian sour and played some board games a fun afternoon if you enjoy craft breweries definitely check out New Limburg
Excellent meal and delightful beer
Excellent beer and food. The environment is so unique and cosy. This is a must see for everyone!
Fantastic beers and relaxed atmosphere
Excellent beer and good food. Small but interesting menu. You definitely must stop in and have the experience.
Great spot, great beer, love that it s in an old elementary school! Staff not overly welcoming but we had a great time!
Great drinks and food at lunchtime!
This is a unique micro brewery that has some tasty beers that are made on premises. The staff are not the most welcoming of people, but Im going there for the beer, food, and ambiance. I recommend it if youre in the area.
Very small tap room and the staff is a little pretentious and snooty.
Delicious. And open good Friday!! Thank goodness.
Great food and BEER!
I promise I m not biased... place is amazing. People are awesome cheers guys! Definitely see you soon.
Great place to have a great craft beer
My family and I have been going to New Limburg Brewing Company regularly for a number of years now, and while the beer is good and the place is full of potential, the service is not. The staff seems miserable and rightfully so because the owner can be very rude and unpleasant. It is quite unfortunate but we will not be going back nor will I recommend this place anymore as I cannot condone this type of behaviour. On a positive note, this lead me to explore the region and I found an amazing brewery in Charlotteville.
I have been here since it first opened. It has only gotten better. One of the best Breweries in Ontario. Period.
Place is great. Staff is great. Only reason I rated 4 star vs 5 is that I dont like any of their beers. Just personal taste likely as I have spoke to others that do enjoy it. Food is good too.
Rude customer service and poor sales techniques.
Great beer, food, and patio. Very friendly staff!
The beer was great, and the patio was like side a nice spot to spend an afternoon.

Incredible beers and good food. Try the Bitterballen, amazing
This is one of those places you reccomend to friends and visitors and easily becomes a new favourite. The summer patio is amazing, best in Norfolk in my opinion.
First time there. Amazing pizza and brews!
Really nice place had the whole smoked trout it was delicious, tried 4 different beers and the darker beers were really good for me. For sure a return visit is required.
Nice atmosphere nice people good food and great beer. Well worth the drive
Friendly, relaxed atmosphere, food is good and an excellent brewery. What more could you ask?
Awesome place. Friendly stuff.
Awesome drinks and amazing food!
What a wonderful space with amazing beers
Had an excellent beer or 3 and the bruschetta is now my all time favorite of all the places we have travelled. What a great use of an old school and an quaint tap room. Lots of love from Alberta..we will be back to visit soon!
We had some awesome beers and shared a great pizza. What an adorable place!
I loved the old school vibe as the building was an old school house. The beer was excellent as was the staff. Can t wait to return.
Great food/beer and atmosphere!
We had a good experience at the New Limburg Brewing Company. Really great to see an old school transformed in to a delicious restaurant and brewery. The day we went was hot and some staff working outside did not seem too happy to be there. However, there was one lovely server from Korea that was wonderful and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious & the beer was also pretty good! We will be back.
Excellent beer and service
Awesome spot to visit
Great atmosphere!
Amazing beer and the best service!
Good selection
Cute little place.....good choice of different beers. Try Black Sheep Stout...it s really good!
Great Brewery.
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time here. I absolutely love that they had converted an old elementary school into a brewery and bistro. The beer is phenomenal, especially the black sheep stout. The food was wonderful, everything on the pizza was fresh! I highly recommend going to the New Limburg Brewery Co.
Nice atmosphere, good food
Interesting choices in beer flights. Food service way too slow though, but they do warn you in advance. Ordered a simple cheese and cracker tray, which was somewhat quicker, however the fact the three different cheeses provided came with saltines! Poor choice of cracker to complement a cheese tray at $14.00 a pop.
An unforgettable experience. The beer is brewed in house and the food is extremely fresh and made on site. I would highly recommend this exquisite experience to anyone. and for fun and entertainment find the gender game located in the hallway right near the washrooms. Enjoy.
Great beer and great food. Unique location
Great place to socialize and drink beer!
