We drive all the way from Hamilton to eat at the Simcoe location, the food and service is wonderful.

Consistently good. Wait staff are always super friendly and accommodating.

Chicken was not dry, but could stand more seasoning. Shrimp and rice were flavourful.

I have been to this Swiss chalet multiple times and have never had a bad meal well today changed that. The ribs were tough and room temperature. The southern Canuck was room temperature and the Shirley temple was not a Shirley temple it was cheaply made and not worth the money. The only reason why this got two stars is because the waitress was kind and friendly

I have been going here to this Location for 6 years , Havent had a problem until They decided to renovate. The problem started around the time of the renovation . Where they lost their brain cells because they make so many mistakes & shrug them off as nothing, They like to throw your Scene card in the garage thinking it is a gift card or use all your gift card even after You tell them how you would like to pay then hand you back the 50 dollars & go oops. Also the store manager Connie obviously did a wonderful job when She worked there, Because the staff werent dense like this.

Amazing people, wonderful customer service and such delish food!!! Couldnt ask for anywhere better. Our family eats at the simcoe location once a month because of how great everything is!!

We just want to express our sincere thanks to Kat, our server, who went above and beyond to provide a great experience for us last night, despite us arriving close to closing time. Not only was the service fast, she was incredibly kind and welcoming. Our food was hot, delicious and perfect. The portions were generous and we feel that the value for our money was great. We look forward to coming back soon and highly recommend this location if you are in Simcoe!

Fancied dropping in here for lunch on my way through town, havent had Swiss in a while. Food was great, well portioned and the service was even better. Tara was an absolute gem. Very attentive, thorough and super friendly to me and from what i could see gave everyone the same great service even though they seemed to be quiet busy. Very surprised to learn this was her first waitressing job and hasnt been here that long, hats off to her natural happy persona and whoever trained her.. Thank you Tara, you are awesome.

Great sized portion and amazing staff. So friendly. Definitely will be back. Make sure to try the lava cake so good for a reasonable price. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair buttons on doors and alarm in bathroom.

My husband found a small bone in his rice. This turned him off and he couldnt finish his festive meal Parking: Simcoe parking was great!

My husband and I came in at 11:50 to eat for lunch. Honestly waited here for 30 minutes with a 1 year old .. we watched five other couples come in after us get served. Servers even knew we were here and didn t care to come over. I m not a server or a waitress so why would I call someone over to come help me . Do your job. My husband finally called a server who was helping people right next to us and beside us. She then said your server will be right out. Such a disgrace and don t think I ll ever come back, this was our first time here and will recommend no one to come to this location.

My family and I came to Swiss Chalet in Simcoe and sat for 15 minutes without a server even coming to ask what we would like to have. I ve looked at 5 other tables that were sat after us get served drinks and food. I literally had to yell and call out a server for someone to come to our table to serve us. This is very poor and unacceptable! Is it because my family is of Color that we cannot get service. Are we being judged! Absolutely Poor Swiss Chalet!

The Simcoe Swiss chalet is a cut above the rest. They brought back the finger bath which is a very nice touch. You can t beat this place the staff is on point as well!

We received the RUDEST attitude and lack of service from the young hostess that seats people, and the older waitress with black rimmed glasses. My husband and I, as well as my two children were treated like cattle and we will never be back although we were regular customers. I do not appreciate being spoken down to from a waitress, and the rude, depressive, pms attitude needs to be replaced with a smile on the waitresses. ZERO CLASS. The management is doing a poor job keeping quality employees that actually want to do their job. These waitresses are very confrontational and insulted another couple that was in there at the same time, that was there for their anniversary. What is wrong with these two women? Why are they so rude and unhappy with themselves?

It had been more than 30yrs since I ate at Swiss Chalet (it was my Grandparents Favorite place), I was always turned off by how pink the chicken was near the bone. So my husband and I were given a gift card for Xmas so we decided to go tonight. So I order 12 wings w/ fries & a Ceasar salad (I really didnt want to chance any chicken on a bone, figured I was safe with wings), my husband ordered the same. Salad & fries were good, so I picked up a big drumstick, I smelled a familiar smell (I have an extremely sensitive nose, just ask anyone who knows me well), so I take a small bite and it looks a little pink, & then I take a 2nd bite and immediately spit it out, omg it isnt pink its RAW, I knew it, it smelled like raw chicken. Our waitress Melissa was sooo apologetic, we assured her that it wasnt her fault she wasnt the cook. We told her we would just take them home with us and recook them in the airfryer. She comes back with boxes and says our desserts will be free. When she came with our dessert she was still apologizing. I used the washroom before I left and overheard 2 employees discussing the wings because a drive through customer had the exact same problem. We appreciated the free dessert, but had we sent the wings back they would have been tossed and new ones made, so why not have made our wings free. So I guess it will be another 30yrs before I go back again.

Excellent food at this particular location, food is always great whether you re getting take-out or dining in. There must be great management with high quality standards and great staff overall because the food here is consistently good and I ve been to several other locations where it s hit and miss. Definitely one of our family favourites!

Swiss Chalet is always better in a small town than large cities like anywhere in the GTA. Portions are generous. Chicken and ribs are juicy and tasty unlike the tiny jerky in the GTA. I guess this is reflected by the difference in running cost especially rent, the owner can invest more in quality to remain competitive. Well done!

The new upgrades are nice the service was great and the food was good. They have brought back the garlic cheese loaf we were very excited about that.

On August 11 we dined in at Swiss Chalet in Simcoe and ordered a quarter chicken dinner and a beef dinner 6 oz. The chicken was white meat and very dry. The beef dinner was supposed to be eaten with au jus. However the au jus was a thick gravy and spread over the meat which had to be scraped away. It was not a clear au jus. The meat was tender but had a lot of fatty gristle . We were very disappointed with this as we thought SC had diversified its menu.

I ordered thru the drive thru the service was nothing great or poor. But the food wasn t up to the usual. I ordered thru the drive thru but this time the chicken was very tough the potatoe was just cut not spread like usual and not nearly enough sour cream and no chives. I have to say I couldn t finish my dinner and needless to say very disappointed.

Not sure if its just this location (Simcoe) or if its the new norm. Had takeout today (original combo, fries and a drink). The fries were absolutely disgusting. Seriously! Been away most of the Summer. Not sure when things changed. Big mistake! Food

Food was pricey and so-so. Was typical as we used the take out. Portions not large for the price, but taste was better than exspected.

We usually have Tara as our waitress Tara has always been a great waitress and brought us delicious meals from the kitchen, which provided us with great food On a personal note, Tara is nice to look at.

I dont make many bad reviews, but this was horrible I was on a call with some operator that I could almost understand she kept asking me where I wanted it delivered. Two times being put on hold and 36 minutes later my order was placed. When the delivery driver came to my door I gave him 40$ tip and told him good luck.

UPDATE . Today sept 23/22 in the mail I received a coupon to replace my unacceptable meal from 6 days ago. Thank You John!! Today , sept 17/22 I Ordered the 6oz beef dinner with mashed and gravy the amount of FAT on the beef was way unacceptable! Close to half of the beef was fat huge hunks of it the mashed and veggies were cold. And yet the bun was warm !? I Sent a picture in with my review to the Harvey feedback site .

I have always enjoyed Swiss chalet. The taste is always been supreme always felt really fresh and crisp the salads. Totally different today, and I can see why theyre closing Swiss chalets it depends on the people managing and running the restaurant in the vicinity which they are established.

Wonderful service and vegetarian options

Hi there, Usually great service when we dine in Simcoe but somehow Saturday got lost. A) there was a snow storm which impacted staffing - there was a wait but that was not the problem. B) Once seated, I asked for an alcoholic drink not listed on the menu and although there were other alcoholic drinks offered on the menu, I was told this was not a bar but a family restaurant - ok. C) I then ordered the suggested wine special to accompany the meal. At that point we were told due to weather conditions we would be allowed one drink only as she, the waitress was making a smart serve decision . - Again ok - we had not asked for more as we had not any. I did point out we were staying at the Comfort Inn next door and had walked over to which the loud reply from the waitress was I dont know that and smart serve says I can limit you. - I could have shown her our reservation. I am happy she was honouring the smart serve restrictions and I am not happy in how that information was delivered and the subsequent dismissal of my comment. It left a distaste and unfortunately clouded the meal experience. Maybe a conversation in how to not humiliate a customer when there was no cause.

Seated after a 20 min wait in the worst drafty area. Some people seated across from us kept their coats on. I cant eat with a winter coat on. My food went cold fast. Tea didnt even stay hot. Horrible experience. DO BETTER! Ate as quickly as possible never going back.

always pleased to see the festive chicken dinner advertized. stopped in shortly after opening and service was prompt and courteous. after having my soup the waitress apologized for the delay for the meal as they were prepping several take out meals. I was in no hurry so I didnt mind. people were coming in on the other side but I didnt see anyone on the swiss chalet side until I was leaving and an older couple was coming in. if you like a quiet meal, swiss chalet is a great place to go.
