Were not impressed with the food the coffee was terrible very strong and my husband had eggs Benedict a the eggs are overcooked had a eggshell and the restaurant was not that clean underneath the table where we were sitting looks like it had been cleaning quite a while Ive been in there several times I never seen a look that bad somebody needs to learn how to clean.

Quiet but clean and great themed restaurant with mediocre foods priced a bit high. Staff is generally pleasant and happy to work with. Would come again. Canned mushrooms being served on food was a disappointment.

Wow ! What happened? The service was horrible, the portions shrank by 30 to 40 percent- bare minimum effort in the meal- floors booths were gross! Flies bugging us the whole meal - so sorry to see it go from a great little restaurant to a dive. I didn t appreciate the horrible music blaring from the kitchens either .

Out of the blue, we decided to try Wimpy s Fish and chips. I am very fussy and the fish was very good but I m not a real fan of their french fries, but that s me.

The breakfast was not worth it. 3 super small eggs that were hard all around and not sunny side up at all. The home fries taste stale and oily. I would not recommend Wimpys.

Not as well maintained as I would have anticipated

Worst breakfast . Bacon was like it was cooked the day before and reheated. Two very small eggs. Potatoes were cold. Toast had very little butter. Asked for tea instead of coffee, was charged extra for it. Most place let you substitute tea instead of coffee. Grandson had pancakes . Everything was cold, except pancakes but they werent even hot enough to melt the butter. Will not be returning!!

Usually go for breakfast and it has always been pretty good. Service depends on who you get. Shannon is amazing .

I had the breakfast poutine without hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were so salty, I didnt eat most of them. The rest of the ingredients, were in an omelet , placed on top of the potatoes. It was very good, but not how it is usually served. I wish restaurants would leave the salt off, and let the diner add it themselves.

I usually only eat here in the mornings around noon. Love the poutine with the works, the cook that is there Andrew when I order is the same one and takes great pride in his job. Shannon the server that is usually there is so friendly and helpful even if I phone in my order. Thank you!

Me and my family love Wimpys. I had breakfast poutine and it was really good. Theres one thing that bothers me every time I go in, and it is why in the heck would someone let their children draw on Elvis picture.

Place is absolutely filthy. They didnt clean the tables, floors, windows or bathrooms. Place was absolutely disgusting. Kitchen staff also acting as management are terrible with customers and do not make orders correctly. Had to call the ancaster location to have owners fix the issues. This is a dive with relatively higher prices. Nothing fresh mostly all frozen and fried. Nothing seasoned and no care as to the taste and quality of food. One server was left to do all the floor work on a busy day for several hours. Bathroom you dont want to even walk into. As I still sit here 7 tables remain uncleaned. Lazy , disgusting and more disgusting.

Horrible. Do not recommend and most definitely won t go again. The place is filthy, my son didn t get fries with his kids meal, when I asked about it I was told I didn t specify I want them . It clearly says on the menu it s served with fries and I was still charged full price for the meal. The waitress was nice enough but very inattentive. I dont know how this place has any good reviews. I am never going back. Wasted $60 on breakfast there and all I did was apologize to my family to taking them to Wimpys. The food was not good. Our children hated their weird-looking burgers. The place was not busy but our server never once came to ask us how our meal was and we weee never offered more coffee. She clearly didnt care about her job or any of her customers. I would have asked her why she didnt care about us but I wanted to leave and she wouldnt have cared anyway. I am so sorry I wasted a family meal at the Simcoe Wimpys. I definitely will not make that mistake again. Wow. Used to be a good place.

Probably the worst dining experience Ive ever had. In the past have went to the brantford Wimmys and it was good and enjoyable. First we werent sure if it was open anymore as there is only ever 2 or 3 cars in the parking lot. We show up and there are 2 other tables dinning in the whole restaurant. There is no music playing and it is dead quite in there making it extremely awkward to even have a conversation. 1 wait staff 1 cook no sign of anyone else. For the amount of people in the restaurant or lack there of.. you would think the service at least would be ok.. this was not the case.. Kids chicken fingers was ordered which comes with fries.. we got 3 chicken fingers on a side plate.. I asked why there was no fries and Im told I didnt specify.. yet I was charged for the whole kids meal.. after the food was delivered we were the only ppl in the restaurant.. all the food was bland with no taste. Kid of expected when its all frozen foods.. the price was surprisingly high for the quality. When the time came to get the bill the waitress was in the back talking to what I assume was a friend that showed up. We had to wait 20 mins to ask for the bill as she was in the back talking to someone with her back to us. Lastly, the place is filthy, the seats had old wrappers on them and the floor were dirty and looked like they hadnt been washed in weeks... my suffering is your gain here.. dont bother visiting this dive unless ur into over priced frozen food.

Not sure how this place would ever pass a health inspection. Hate to actually see what the kitchen looks like. Cringe

Has the usual ham and cheese omlette. Wimpyz always has a great breakfast.

The service from the employees is great although the food is grossly overpriced, below par and theres bugs flying around in the restaurant. Highly do not recommend.

Food was was poor. Service was ok, restaurant was busy. Restaurant was DIRTY, especially the mens washroom. Our order. * Nashville Hot Chicken was a chicken was a fried/dry chicken with a small squirt of bbq sauce. * Fish & chips were mediocre. Nothing to write home about. *Kids meal - pasta with red sauce. This was just noodles and sauce from a can. This was the best meal on the table. * Kids Meal - hotdog and fries. Hotdog was WAY overcooked. The whole experience cost us almost $60 with a tip. We will not return or recommend.

Wheelchair accessibility: The place is filthy. I don t think anyone has swept ,wiped, washed anything in that place since it changed owners. Garbage was under tables, dirt on the window sills I think I made my point. Safe to say I will NOT. Be going there anytime soon.

Just awful! Dont go! The place is filthy. The waitress looked rumpled and like she just woke up. Couple beside us left because their order was over an hour. Their table was not cleaned in between the next customers and the waitress proceeded to put their clean utensils down on the obviously dirty table. As we sat and looked around we could see how dirty it was , the edges of the tables arent wiped and the floors have not been cleaned lately. Our simple breakfast took at least 40 mins. We felt like we were introuding on the gentleman behind the counter and the waitress and their obvious flirting. Mens bathroom was also a disaster. Previously have enjoyed this restaurant. No more.

I love this place. I never leave hungry. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly. I love the relaxed atmosphere. Vegetarian options: They have lots of vegetarian options. Parking: The parking lot is out front of the restaurant. Kid-friendliness: They have a good kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: It is wheelchair accessible.

Great waiter and food!

Ordered a chicken club on rye. This is what I got. Had jam on it from unwashed fingers. No side. Also got coffee. She didn t offer the table refills once. Didn t ask about our food. The sandwich, my friends wrap, no sides for either and 3 drinks (two apple juice one coffee) came to almost $50 Atmospheres super awkward. For a place that has records on the wall there is no music so us and the 3 other tables just talked quietly. Extremely disappointed. Suggest just driving to Brantford.

For a chain, I would expect higher standards. The bathrooms were so dirty and obviously hadnt been cleaned in days. The mens washroom reeks and there was urine on the handle of the urinal. The sink in the womens washroom was dirty and dusty so hadnt been regularly cleaned. Even my toddler noticed how dirty the floor was under our table. Then the food took almost an hour to come out. I understand that the place was busy but for what we ordered, it shouldnt have taken that long. Not to mention only one table got their food during that hour. They forgot the sides we ordered. Dont get the Eggs Florentine, that was a mistake. The waitress never asked us how the food was. All-around disappointment. Youll get better service at McDonalds.

Breakfast was good, but it seemed that the quality wasnt as good now as it was. Hasbrowns were burnt, but the rest was ok. Only 1 server for the whole place, but she did good all things considered.

Food was great but the restaurant could use a good cleaning. *Hint* pull the tables out so you can sweep the floor between the back legs and walls.

Stopped in for bacon and eggs ..disgusting!!! Bacon came out burnt and black and stuck together. Easy over eggs were slimy and undercooked. Booth we sat at was sticky and not wiped down. Overall a big fat zero!!!

Wow has this chain ever gone downhill. I guess there s a reason anytime we have visited here, we are the only ones in the place. Ordered the fish and chips which Whimpy s has now reduced the size of the fish. It used to be a full piece of haddock and be really good, now it s a fraction of the size and yet they charge the same price .. This is the last time we will visit here, it s overpriced for what it is now, the quality has gone south and fast. There are so many other options that will run you a lot less in town.

One of the worst breakfast I have ever eaten. My parents came down for a visit and I took them here because we thought there was a seniors discount. This branch does NOT have the seniors discount however we decided to eat there anyways. The food was horrible. The food was bland, the service wasn t good either. My mom ordered a coffee and never received it. The place wasn t the cleanest. We would NOT recommend anyone to eat here for breakfast.

Beyond incompetent. I would give zero stars if I could. Waited almost an hour for my food just to be told the order didnt go through and that it hadn t even began to start cooking yet. Also asked for a refill while i was waiting and never got it. Multiple people in the restaurant orders didn t go through too. Wild that this place still exists

simcoe wimpys is a trash restaurant with truly awful management, trust me i know. i wouldnt eat there if i was starving to death.

I went for the first time here and had very bad experience on food also in service.

Old fashioned diner style restaurant with an extensive menu. I got an omelette with potatoes. Tasty, filling and huge! Service was great and friendly. No complaints here.

Went for brunch and it was empty. There was only one other table of two when we arrived and two that came after us. The restaurant was very dirty and had flieS buzzing around. I ordered the peameal benedict and my friend had the flashback combo. We watched the cook in the kitchen stand around talking on his cell phone while we waited over 30 minutes for our food to come out. We had both ordered our eggs over medium and they were cooked over easy and super runny. The sausages that came with my friends meal looked like they had been sitting in a warming drawer for over a week. The peameal benedict was soggy and the sauce was watery and fairly bland and homefries were average at best. When our server (who was very nice but very inattentive) finally came around to make sure our food was okay (after we were finished eating--I had a pancake off my friends plate) I very politely let her know why I hadnt eaten my meal and all she said was oh, would you like your bill then charged full price for everything. I can say without a doubt that we will never return here again. Harmony Bakery and Cafe is a much better option in Simcoe.

What an absolute joke. Do not waste your money! My boyfriend and I came in around lunchtime today. I had a burger and fries and he had a waffle combo. My food was great but his food was cold. Typically we would have sent the cold food back but we were literally ignored for most of the time we were there. I had ordered a tea and a water with my meal, she brought me the tea with no hot water, and no cold water to drink. It was bizarre. She eventually brought hot water and then we didn t see our waitress for about an hour. Another woman brought us our food. When we were finished with our meal, we waited 20 minutes before we could even flag someone down to get us our bill and takeout containers. The funny thing is, there were probably only about 10 tables at the time that we were there. They had 3 wait staff on, but they kept to behind the counter doing utensils and cleaning the blender or what not, completely ignoring everyone. They need to understand that with the economy the way it is, that sometimes one meal out is all a couple can afford, and to be served and treated like this for that one meal, was truly disappointing. Charging 45 dollars for two meals when they aren t hot is awful. Charging 3 dollars for a tea bag is a joke, especially when the servers don t seem to care to bring hot water. Will never go back to a wimpys anywhere. Even fast food establishments have better service.

A satisfying breakfast with a minor flaw I ordered the bacon and eggs with homefries and toast. The bacon was crispy, the eggs were fluffy and the toast was buttery. The homefries looked appetizing, but they were a bit undercooked for my taste. The service was quick and friendly, the place was cozy and clean, and the price was reasonable for the portion size. I would give this place a 4 out of 5 stars. The only thing I would change is to ask for my homefries well done next time.

Ordered fish n chips. Disappointed as they were frozen fish and chips . The fish batter was soggy.. the young guy waiting tables was friendly, quick to look after customers. For what we paid we would of got a better meal elsewhere.

Had the chicken and waffles it was delicious. Friends had unlimited fish chips they also enjoyed the food.

Lunch time, all you can eat fish and chips. Been waiting over 45 minutes for fish - only four other tables here, and I have to head back to work. So much for all you can eat, I MIGHT manage to get one plate if I dont have to leave first.

Came in early last Monday and ordered breakfast. Only a table of 6 in front of us. Half an hour later 3 tables were served food before us. Probably regulars. Our food still didnt come and we had to leave. Very disappointing experience. Wimpys in Hamilton has great service.

With my kitchen under renovation needed to find a place, other then fries and burgers. Wimpys in Simcoe is my new favourite place to eat. The cook is amazing. No matter what we have ordered it was done perfectly. We ordered different entrees 4 days in a row. Staff is friendly and good service.

Food was tasteless and cold. Ordered eggs Benny and the hollandaise was liquidy like water. My food was soggy and gross.

Overall this restaurant was good. The service was good and quick and the food tasted good. This particular Wimpy s did not have the gluten free bread options I ve come to expect at other Wimpy s though, which is odd. A gluten free toast and bun option is pretty standard now at most restaurants.

Me and my wife went to this location the other night I got a Florentine pasta I asked for feta cheese and sauteed onions for a substitute and the guy just puts on a little sprinkle of Parmesan cheese the pasta was also overcooked my wifes meal she had mashed potatoes and they were hard as a rock and her meal wasnt even warm not going back to this location thats for sure the cook was very mad at the Young server because we returned our meal that wasnt right! The guy also had a hard time understanding that I wanted chicken on top of my pasta LOL

Amazing! Ordered 3 western sandwiches for take out. The gentleman that served us was friendly and practised Safe covid restrictions when I picked up our food. The sandwiches where huge and delicious, the potatoes we added onions and they were very good! We will definitely order again!

Previously a favourite of ours but it has slipped and tonight was bad. Had Fish & Chips, the fish was tough (?!?!?), some I couldnt even chew, the garlic bread was very stale and hard and no tartar sauce. Enough.

Horrible...daughter went to pick up in pouring rain, exempt from mask, no inside dining and she is made to wait outside and pay outside I told her she should have said fu and left...food sub par, mashed potatoes have strings in them, old grey looking...its no wonder this place has changed names three times, maybe next time change owners because you know nothing about good food and customer service....NEVER eat here!!!!!!!!

The owner of this outlet needs to understand, they dont offer food and beverages, customers come here for a great experience. Today morning, when we came here for breakfast, there was just one server. Who was trying to do her best, but the overall service levels was far below expectation. We were old customers of Harmony restaurant, Simcoe. After todays experience. We will never ever going to come back again. I hope the owners learn there lessons.

The food was substandard. The steak was charred. We asked for another steak. On paying our bill we were told we were charged for the steak because, we had already made it l will not go back to eat there again.

We had the wing and fries and it was perfect. They have lots of items on the menu. Each day a different lunch/dinner special. Diner was clean and they check Covid conditions of the guests. We enjoyed our meal and we will come back again.

Old place, small portions, sorta pricy. Pancakes taste like the ones you make with supermarket-bought pancake mix. Coffee was good though, and they serve breakfast all day so thats nice. The kids meal was bigger than the Breakfast Trinity I ordered for myself.

I hardly make any reviews unless I am giving 5 stars. Visited this restaurant today - Aug 24th at 10am. Unfortunately when we arrived there was only 1 server working. She was run off her feet due to the number of people that were there. She cleaned off a table for us, however didnt clean off the ketchup, sugar, salt and pepper shakers. Thankfully I saw this and got out sanitizer and did this myself. Ordered a coffee and instead of bringing me milk and cream from the back, she brought it to me from another table. Typically this wouldnt be something I would care about, but we are in Covid times and there should be more attention to sanitization. Another thing witnessed was that the server repeatedly asked the cook to ring the bell when food was ready, he continued to not ring the bell which cased food to we waiting for long periods of time. I do feel like there should be more then 1 person the morning rush. I feel really bad for the servers of this establishment.

3 eggs Texas toast and homefries for $6.99. No wonder it was lined up! Clean. Friendly service. Not particularly fast but we were in no rush on a Sunday morning.

Great food as expected from wimpys but amazing staff at this location too. .... Review from a year ago. Returned today and had the best or second best steak of my life. Additional 5 or 8 stars. Onion rings are great too. Chef Tahid should be very proud of my steak. Cant add a photo because I ate it too fast

Sadly disappointed . I have always loved Wimpys and I am blaming covid-19. It was very meh for too much money. I bought a nice meal to prepare for 5 at the grocery store for $20 LESS than breakfast for 3 at Whimpys! We had 2 orders of waffles and 1 buttermilk pancakes, all with strawberries and bananas. Well they had no bananas, and the strawberries were strawberry mush. My sons waffles seemed ok but mine fell apart into mushy crumbles, hard to eat. None of us finished and it came to $65 with tip. I do not recommend.
