We frequently search and dine at taco restaurants, which are plentiful in Toronto area. Lilys tacos in Simcoe by far are the best tacos we had. We ordered shrimp (3 tacos) and Pastor (4 tacos). They were flavourful, tasty and very filling. We especially liked double tortillas. We would highly recommend this restaurant! Parking: Parking on a street, we can one hour before closing on Sunday night

Lily is a fantastic chef. Henry is very helpful as well. Grace who rang us up was very patient and explained everything to us. The lady that first explained the menu to us was so nice! We live just north of Toronto, and the food we had here was better than the Mexican restaurants we have been to. That is including Toronto. Authentic Mexican family run restaurant. The tacos were made with fresh ingredients and very tasty. The fajita bowl was the perfect combination of veggies, steak, beans, rice, and shredded cheese. The atmosphere was very inviting and interesting to see the imported products from Mexico. Although we didn t eat on the patio, it was spacious with lots of table with umbrellas.Bathrooms were clean and maintained. Owners (Lily & Henry) and staff were very pleasant and genuinely appreciative for the business.We will definitely be back.

The past 3 years my family has gone roughly an hour OUT OF OUR WAY to eat at Lily s while driving home from the cottage. Everything is delicious, Lily is also so knowledgable and a joy to speak with!! 100% recommend the Lengua, it s my personal favourite- like I said though, EVERYTHING is amazing. A must if you re near or visiting Simcoe :)

How this has a 4.9 rating is beyond me. It was literally the blandest and smallest tacos I have ever had in my life. Sadly I would pick Taco Bell over this place. I got three different meats and they all tasted more or less the same which is basically zero flavour at all. Im not a massive eater but it did take 6 tacos (tax and tip came to $50) to fill me up which def wasnt worth it. Server was friendly but it really was a terrible meal.

The food was absolutely bland, had Quesabirrias which was overpriced for what you got. $30 for three and a bottle of coke, prepay and pre-tip for food that couldn t even be served at our table. Not going there again.

I see all the railings are 4-5 stars I m thinking maybe I just tried it on a bad day. We got 3 shrimp and 3 steak tacos as well as a burrito with 3 drinks for just under $100. The meat didn t have any seasoning/flavour (maybe it s normal) but other than that it was okay. (Kind of just taste like a roast beef minus the salt, with ju) The homemade hot salsa was very good , fresh tortilla chips, and the service was amazing and friendly. It s nice to see all the things you can buy as well in the restaurant.

Seriously the best Mexican food weve had north of mexican border. The owner was so friendly! He let me practice my Spanish too!! My husband and I were delighted with our array of tacos and quesbarilles (spelling) The mexican hibiscus flower drink was made perfectly and was delicious and refreshing (highly recommend) The only thing I dont like is that we live so far from Lilys tacos!!

We love this restaurant! Its like we were transported into Lilys homelands. We were greeted by the owner with a smile and took his time to go through the menu and his recommendations. His recommendations were spot on. All we can say is a 100 star WOW! The food is absolutely amazing. Its made with so much love, the food was absolutely perfect. The crunchiness of the taco, flavourful pork and cheese was well balanced and so delicious. We also ordered the Carmones Diabla. The shrimp was so incredible, I couldnt get enough. It was so nice to sit and chat with the one and only Lily. She came out and had her lunch next to us and made us feel like family. We love a great story. Their story is a testament to hard work, the love for her culture and for her people. This place is more than just a restaurant, its a dynamic space. Thank you Lilys Tacos. We will be back often.

The service and food was amazing! I got the nachos, and they definitely didnt spare on the toppings. Food was flavourful and fresh. Only down side is the lack of vegetarian options. Vegetarian options: Very few vegetarian options, but they willingly replaced the meat with beans on my order.

First and foremost, the food here was really good, we visited here for the first time recently with some friends and we re really happy with the food quality. The portion sizes were decent, the staff was super friendly and all In all everything we ordered was excellent. The only downside was the food is really pricy! We paid over $70 for only 2 people and it wasn t enough to feed us both and that was only with one drink that we shared. Our friends were also really surprised by the cost, I can t imagine what it would have costed us if we brought our kids. We would absolutely visit here more often if it was more affordable, but find there are other similar spots in town that are of equal quality and more budget friendly especially if you are dining out with multiple family members.

Me and my mom were looking to eat Mexican, found a hidden gem along the way, I ve been craving birria tacos for so long and the special they have (the quesabirria) was exactly what I needed, the amount of meat you get is amazing and the mild sauce has so much flavour, I definitely recommend, I will be going back!!

Not the best mexican food at all. Very mushy food and not even hot. Some people got served long before others even arrived in the group. Seemed like food was made days in advance. Shrimp definitely old!

Im from Calgary AB and just in town for work, didnt realize a small town like Simcoe could have some of the best authentic tacos Ive ever had. stopped in this morning, got tacos, tamale, and tres leches cake. 10/10. I am coming back for dinner!

Its like being back at the great restaurant in Playa Del Carmen you went to. Fabulous food, very kind staff with a vested interest in making sure you enjoy your experience. Just plain great food with interesting and enjoyable spices and flavors.

Went to Lilly s Tacos for the first time and it was so worth it. Super friendly family running this place and the food didn t disappoint. The tacos were amazing, especially the beef tongue! I wish I had take a picture of the food I got, but I bought the Quesabirrias and my family got other tacos from them and oof they are packed with flavour 10/10 would 100% recommend, this is my 3-4th time here and it s always good. As a Texan, I was not emotionally prepared to have fantastic tacos in a small town in Ontario. Lily s served me the best tacos I ve had since I left Austin years ago. I m only visiting Simcoe for a couple of days, but I ll be hitting this place up again before I leave.

After being in Mexico over the winter we felt like enjoying a good Mexican meal again, and Lily s delivered. Had the burrito salad in a bowl, very delicious! Lily was a lovely host made you feel welcomed and the atmosphere in there reminded us so much of Mexico. Definitely going back to try the other items on the menu!

You have to try this amazing restaurant, went for dinner tonight and had the best nachos to start and the Quesabirria Tacos to die for. Henry and Lily are the nicest people around and I also had one of Lilys homemade Hibiscus drink so refreshing, if you havent been here you truly need to visit Lilys Tacos, the best!

This is the BEST place to get authentic Mexican food!! Henry and Lily are lovely people, they always welcome you with a smile and the food cannot be beat! This is top-notch and the most authentic Mexican restaurant ever! The first time I was here with my husband, I ordered 3 beef tongue tacos and my husband ordered Lilys special. I was blown away with the deliciousness, how soft and tasty the meat is. The 2nd time we visited the place, we switched our order, this time I had Lilys special. I am now confused which one I like most. Haha. Honestly, everything is so delish and it does not disappoint us! Glad we live nearby. The owners are very nice and so welcoming too! I told them to offer some desserts like churros, and Ill be sure to buy lots of them! 5 stars all the way! Gracias!

First time visiting and the owners, Lilly and Henry, couldnt have been more kind and attentive. Since there are many seasonal farm workers this food has to be authentic Mexican cuisine. Lilly makes everything and the food and service was fantastic. I highly recommend the shrimp tacos. My only suggestion would be to get a LLBO licence for that wonderful patio in the summer. Us mountain bikers will be there in droves!

It took 2 years to finally get here, my only regret was I Didnt get there sooner. My loss, everything was delicious get restaurant, get owners. Be back soon!

One of my favourite taco spots of all time! Fair pricing, authentic menu, good portions and amazing flavour. I got the quesabirria and three tacos: lengua, carnitas, and barbacoa. All fantastic. The tortillas are fresh and moist without falling apart or being overly chewy. Disclaimer - my eyes were bigger than my stomach on my second trip, 3 or 4 tacos will do the trick for one person. I ve definitely paid more for tacos and enjoyed them a lot less. Personally, this is top 3 tacos I ve ever had!

Delicious tacos! Service was above and beyond- extremely friendly, professional and quick. The inside is super cute, well decorated and clean. This is a good place to go if you have limited time for lunch or dinner. The food came out very quickly. The steak tacos are amazing. They also have drinks and other products from Mexico available to purchase. I will definitely be back!

I ve been to Cozumel Mexico several times hands-down better than the ones I ve had in Mexico!! The staff is extremely friendly and gives amazing service. Wait times are very short. A MUST TRY! The empty dishes speak for themselves. We ordered their quesabirria and carnita tacos. They were so good that we forgot to take photos before we inhaled them. Quesabirria 4.5/5: the shells had that crisp, the birria was dripping with flavour, but there was too much cheese for me. Some bites were just cheese. Consumé 5/5: I would drink a cup of that every day during the winter *drool. Carnitas 4/5: the pork was tender and perfectly seasoned but could use more acid. So extra limes for the carnitas are a must.

As a chef, one of my first jobs was working in an authentic Mexican restaurant. This really brought me back to what I learned during my time there! Amazing job! If you go to Long Point or Turkey Point and pass through Simcoe you have to stop at this restaurant. The food is delicious, very authentic and the service is fantastic.

We found this place on Google while looking for local cuisine during our road trip through Simcoe. I am glad we gave this place a try. The food was excellent! Some of the best tacos we have had in Canada. The hospitality we received was commendable, too. Overall, it is a great environment if you want to taste Mexico.

Totally ripped off. Did not have a good experience. The guy charged extra for tomato because it was not Mexican . (Really?) Found a bone in my taco Burrito was so small and $14 I asked for a side of rice for my 2 year old. He charged me $3.50 and gave me less than a 1/4 cup. Everything was overpriced and not worth it. Especially after the guy told me the plates were quite large and filling. I was very excited to try this place but Will not return very underwhelmed Kid-friendliness: Not recommended

Delicious Traditional Mexican Cuisine! Greeted with happy smiles, had delicious Tacos, and enjoyed a wonderful dine-in experience. Gracias mi Amigo!

I was pleased to discover this gem of a Mexican restaurant in downtown Simcoe, with a great patio area out back! The owners are lovely people. Fast, friendly service, yummy authentic Mexican food, and large portions at a very reasonable cost. Ill definitely be returning soon!

First time here after a quick Google search. The owner was extremely friendly and was happy to explain some of the various options on his menu. I had the barbacoa gringas, which was stuffed with cheese, beef and onions and served with sour cream and hot sauce. To say that this was delicious would be the understatement of the century! So flavourful and fresh. I almost wanted to order a second one to go! Highly recommended!

The tacos and gringas were amazing!! So much flavourful meat on every one and the hot sauces were so tasty. Everything was so fresh and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

It was great authentic Mexican food, and we had tacos on fresh made tortillas paired with tasty side sauces this visit. Try the Langua taco, tender and tasty. Chicken, beef, and pork were also excellent. Friendly owner/staff. There is also a small mexican store behind the counter. Ill be back!
