Nice place for breakfast!

So I m not sure where the good reviews came from. Maybe it s the $10 rum punch? The jerk chicken tasted like barbecue chicken. The rice had no flavor. The mahi mahi tacos were decent but not memorable. And they add an 18% service charge. Go figure.

Our go to place! Friendly staff. Excellent drinks (try the bushwhacker). Average prices for island restaurants. Fish is fresh. Sandwiches are big enough for 2 meals (or sharing). Fresh cut fries and sweet potato fries! The tacos were excellent. The meatball sub was delicious (they make their own meatballs). Best breakfast on island. I had the 2eggs, bacon, toast, hash brown patty $10! Fun, laid back vibe.

Omg. If you re on St Thomas Island, please give Sudis a try. The food was phenomenal! My husband and I tried the jerk shrimp with seasoned rice, seasonal veggies and fried plantains the combination of the super flavorful jerk sauce mixed with the shrimp and rice with bites of the plantain were absolutely chefs kiss we also tried the rum punch (I think lol), and the local favorite bushwhacker. Also amazing. And for dessert we had key lime pie. It was hard not to lick our plates clean, it was by far the best meal we have had on the island so far, and we have had some pretty good ones!!! Sadly I didn t even think to get pictures of the food before we devoured it lol

Our first time there was excellent! If you dont go to their Sunday Only for their BBQ dinner( starts around 2pm lasts until its gone), you are missing out! This Southern girl knows BBQ and this was AMAZING!! Chefs Kiss amazing! I had the brisket with whiskey baked beans and homemade mac n cheese. My hubby had the ribs with mac n cheese and salad. This was slap your Grandmama good! The atmosphere was excellent and Natalie was very welcoming. Youre missing out if you dont try them. *closed on Mondays.

They didn t have the two items we initially ordered off the menu, so we went with wings and pizza. The pizza was VERY greasy, and thin, and the wings were tiny. Would not eat here again. Servers were very nice and friendly though.

Tasty drinks that aren t watered down. Food is good. Had catch of day - mahi tacos - for dinner. And $10 breakfast of basic eggs, toast, meat and hashbrown. Service fast. Overall just as good as anywhere else on island. Kid-friendliness: I didn t have child with me but casual atmosphere so children welcome

Natalie and team absolutely nailed it. Our impromptu wedding reception and party, all planned within hours, was handled superbly! The wait staff, cooks and bartenders threw it into hyper drive and executed flawlessly. The food was outstanding, I highly recommend the Philly Cheese Steak. I am pretty certain our group of 75 people ordered at least one of everything on the menu since our group ages ranged from infant to 90+. Cheers to Sudis! I highly recommend if you are in or around Sapphire Bay.

Natalie and the team at Sudis KILLED IT when we needed an emergency venue for a wedding reception. The bartenders took on the curated drink list and the cooks made food for 70+ people, and the whole staff joined in the party. We had an absolutely amazing night that wouldnt have been possible without this team. Also I dont know what genius came up with the idea to put a burger inside a grilled cheese sandwich but it was incredible and Ill be dreaming about it for years to come.

We had our impromptu wedding reception at Sudis Bar and Grill after our original venue fell through, and we couldn t be more grateful. The staff and owners accommodated our 76 guests with exceptional grace and efficiency. The food was phenomenal, and the service was impeccable. They turned a stressful situation into a joyous celebration. Thank you, Sudis, for making our special day unforgettable. Highly recommend! We also highly recommend jumping in the pool with all of your friends and family :).

This place was awesome. The food and the service were really good. The food came out really fast. I would recommend getting the tacos over the fish platter or entree because the fish tacos were half the price and you got the same amount of fish as the entree.

Beware that an 18% tip is already on the bill. We had a great lunch there. Then went back for dinner and had the worst jerk chicken we d ever eaten. And it was very expensive for what you got.

This is a hotel bar & grill near Sapphire Beach Marina. We went three times and were never disappointed. The $10 breakfast was one of our favorite meals on the island. The drinks are great and the staff is awesome.

This place is fantastic! Greg and Nat are super friendly and welcoming hosts. This is the original Bushwacker bar. Go get one!! The wahoo tacos were amazing as well. Fresh, fresh, fresh! Played dice here and had a great afternoon, and the beach below at the resort was superb. Highly recommended!

Bbq is worth the wait on Sunday s! Owner is genuinely warm and attentive. Pizza cost less and tastes better than Sapphire beach bar pizza. One cannot go wrong at Sudis! Thank you , Natalie!

We were a group of 39 people for dinner and the staff was amazing! It s not easy accommodating so many people but they handled it so well. The waiters were so kind and patient with all our teenagers and little ones. The menu had a great variety for all of us and everyone loved their food from the fresh fish to the grilled cheese. I wish we found this place at the beginning of our week because we would have definitely returned. Super friendly casual vibe! I hope you give them a try!

We stood at a he Sapphire Condominiums and Sudis was nearby so it was easy to get to for lunch. The food was amazing! The first day we got the tacos which were much larger than we anticipated and so good! The second day we got the pot stickers and jerk chicken. The jerk chicken literally fell off the bone! Soooo delish! We had our kids with us and they got the chicken strips and grilled cheese which they crushed. Definitely recommend for couples or the whole family!

Very delicious fresh seafood. I ordered Mahi Mahi tacos and they were great. The shrimp quesadilla was so so and the chicken nachos were amazing. And prices are more than reasonable. The sapphire beach is right around the corner. I highly recommend to eat here!

Sudis might be the best restaurant on this the east side of the island. We were lucky enough to be staying in the Saphire units so we stumbled in here after arriving...and then we came back almost every day until we left! The jerk chicken, fish tacos, nachos, whatever you get it is all delicious. They also have an incredible BBQ every Sunday starting at 2 until it runs out (dont go past 4pm).

We visited 4 separate times and the food and service was very good. WARNING: They add an 18% service fee to all checks and 4% to all credit card purchases. They also add taxes to each item add the service charge to that and then give recommended tips on top of that. I do not get this practice. Charge what you need to charge for your food and beverages, I find this practice to be intentionally misleading. EDIT: Since they responded, I thought I would add a picture of my check. No where on their menu did it say a service charge would added. It is apparently on a sign as you walk in (at the bottom). FYI, the 4% added to each item was added to cash sales as well as credit (all but one visit was cash). I don t have a huge issue with adding in the gratuity, but the check makes it look like you still need to tip another 18-30%. It is ridiculous and as you can see from other reviews it upsets customers.

We were staying in a unit right above the restaurant so after a long day of traveling we thought this would be a great place for dinner. NOT! When we got there nobody would make eye contact or even come near us. Eventually we figured out to seat ourselves. When we noticed that others who had come after us were being served I approached the waitress and asked if someone could take our order. She said she would be right back. We looked at the menus on the table and made our selection. Then we noticed these papers on other tables and thought those might be the specials so we grabbed one off another table. It was bbq (which I didn t want) and there were no prices on it. When the waitress arrived I had the menu in my hand to give my order. She snatched the menu and said they weren t cooking from that and all they had was the bbq. So I ordered the chicken. It was the saddest chicken I d ever seen. Not much meat to speak of. The worst part of this entire experience was the check! It was $26.00 a plate and they added 18% gratuity to our 2 person order! Needless to say we have not been back!

It is hit and miss. The wings are amazing but if you have a to go order you have to check into the bar to see if it is ready every 10 minutes. On Sundays it is only bbq items so be prepared and closed on Mondays. Dont tell you what the happy hour specials are. They automatically add 18% gratuity.

My girlfriends and I really enjoyed dining at Sudis. It was so good the first time that we went back a second time during our 1 week stay on St Thomas! Highly recommended the grilled shrimp, seasoned rice and salad. The nachos appetizer was also very good and big enough as an appi for all four of us! The wait staff was right on point, attentive but not overbearing. The atmosphere was super fun with all the carribean themed art work.

Nice atmosphere, but the food was overpriced compared to other options in Redhook and the food was significantly worse than the other options. The jerk chicken was pretty bad.

My wife and I stayed at Sapphire Village Condos and ate at Sudi s almost every morning and night. It was always great. They treat you like family. From the first evening- Monday when they were closed - they still had the football game on and opened the bar and had self serve hot dogs and chips. Sudi s is one of the highlights of St Thomas, great service and food at reasonable prices! A trip to St Thomas is not complete until you spend some time at Sudi s!

I absolutely love Sudis! We stay in Sapphire Village, and Sudis is always our first meal after a long day of travel from the artic tundra of Michigan. Best shrimp (blackened or fried), Mahi, and Wahoo tacos ever! The owners are fantastic people, and I just love the atmosphere there. They also have a $10 breakfast, have the ingredients made into a burrito you wont regret it. Cant wait to be on the island again and eat at Sudis!

Seafood is always fresh and Chef does it all right. Service is more than attentive, you just want to invite them to join you. Clean, the place is the cleanest on the island and they do a lot. I think Sundays is Barbeque only and they close on Mondays , worth the drive x10. Dietary restrictions: I am severely lactose intolerant and they are very careful to make it happen , the dish tacos were ethereal. Wheelchair accessibility: Wide open and proper room in one of the bathrooms, the other is just a little tight. Clean is the first impression.

Bartender had an attitude from the moment we walked up to the bar. Never made eye contact, told us we wouldnt know the difference in the taste of the fish tacos. Was tilapia was looking for wahoo. Great atmosphere, right on the beach. Go at your own risk.

Walk on in and enjoy a great meal; don t miss their painkillers! This is probably one of the friendliness places we found for lunch and dinner. They advertise a great $10 breakfast too, but we didn t get to try that. Lunches with the seafood of the day were excellent. Fish could be blackened, fried, or grilled. It was always great!

Went to Sudis for lunch with my family and recieved excellent service from bartender/server, Carmen. She made us feel very welcome and gave us island tips! We are currently in St. Thomas. Sudis food and staff are amazing! Natalie the owner works right along with her staff to make sure your food and experience is perfect! I work on food service and can tell you if I lived here I could work for her, she busts her butt to make sure everything is wonderful! The atmosphere is casual so if you appreciate a good local place that has great food, is reasonably priced and that the staff is the best ever this is the place for you. I cannot say enough good things about these folks!

We stayed on St Thomas for a week, and this is the only restaurant we repeated - and we actually went 3 times. Great shrimp and fish, great BBQ on Sunday, friendly staff, relaxed island vibe, and beautiful artwork all over (which I think is for sale) are all what makes this restaurant such a neat experience. Highly recommend... and make sure to get the Bushwhacker where it all began!

Great vibe and food. The owners Natalie and Greg are the best hosts and know all the best places to see when on island. The food was incredible, we had Mahi Mahi tacos, the Philly cheese steak, and the award winning Sudi s grilled cheese is amazing. I ate one almost every day for lunch, ask for the Philly cheesesteak meat on it, it s not on the menu but the best!! Great island vibe and feel and the place is full of beautiful island art for sale. A must go to when on island and you won t regret it!!

You will never find a better little bar and grille on the island. The atmosphere was absolutely wonderful and the people were amazing. We have made life long friends here. I have never walked into a place and felt like I was home. Until this place. The owners are the best. Love you guys and will see same time next year.

Just okay nothing special , gave waitress credit card she awarded herself 18% service charge, thats after I gave her 10 dollar tip, service charge is an agreed to amount, not take what you want!

Relaxed atmosphere but the food was not as good as other locations we had been to during our trip. Fish tacos were good, but the jerk chicken nachos and pub pretzel left a lot to be desired. **Be aware that they automatically charge an 18% tip to all parties and label it as a service charge. They then list the normal tip calculations at the bottom, which are based on the total PLUS the service charge. It is a very shady practice that the owner tried to justify by saying everyone does it. I checked all other receipts, and NONE did this from expensive restaurants to local cooks. Just be aware, especially if youre drinking and tend to pay without examining your bill.

BBQ Sunday!!! Well worth it. Brisket was flavorful and moist, pulled pork delicious. Great sides, mac&cheese, whiskey baked beans, potato salad, and island rice all excellent. Start off with shrimp pot stickers with nice frozen adult beverage.

We stayed at sapphire village so sudi s was right across the road from us atmosphere 10/10, the cheeseburger was ehh definitely wouldn t get again, BUT the rest of the food (shrimp tacos, pretzels, mozz sticks, bbq) was AMAZING!!! The bartender Stephen (not sure if that s the right spelling) was awesome! He was so nice and super funny, made our time there so much more enjoyable! Definitely recommend this place

Great little place we ate here multiple times on our vacation. Not only is it convenient since we were staying walking distance the food is great. The staff are so nice the atmosphere is chill no loud music great artwork hanging all over the restaurant. Thank you too the staff for making our vacation even better. We were in a condo across the parking lot. Its adjacent to the pool, so we enjoyed grabbing a few drinks every night while sitting at the pool. We had dinner there one night. Very enjoyable. My son had their $10 breakfast special, which looked delicious. Staff was all very friendly and engaging. I highly recommend the Bushwacker.

The waitstaff here are so friendly and helpful! My husband and I have come several times during our trip and we have had excellent experiences every time! The servers have always been so nice and helpful and we love the food and drinks! Would recommend for breakfast and lunch/dinner!

Great pool, 9 warm water mimics the ocean experience. Food was OK. Manager very friendly. Kid-friendliness: Kids were welcome. No issues, as long as they behaved in a safe manner.

Great food ,awesome atmosphere

We went there after reading a lot of great reviews. The first impression was nice, we were greeted nicely, seated and we put an order. After a short wait we got the food and I can say that everything we ate was amazing. We decided to order something else to drink so imagine my surprise when the waitress came ro our table with the check I didnt ask for. After we ordered food she didnt came to our table to ask if we want anything else like a dessert or so, she just probably assumed thats all and prepared a check. She looked a bit annoyed when we told her that we would like to order drinks. She took an order and disappeared. After about 15 minutes (we saw her serving food and taking orders), passing by our table she said sorry and disappeared again. After next 10 min. the other waitress seeing us sitting over empty tables came over and asked if everything is ok. We explained the situation and she walked back. We didnt want to leave without paying (the first waitress took the check) so we were waiting. Finally the second waitress brought our drinks and a check. Some time after a guy emerged by our table and took the bill asking if everything was OK. I assume it was the owner. Finally we were able to pay and leave. It is sad, because we really loved the food and the place itself has a good vibes, but poor service ruined our experience and we most likely will not be back.

we stopped here for dinner on the first night at sapphire beach and it was a super chill poolside spot with delicious food! i ordered the grilled cheese because it had a red award-winning sticker, so i figured it must be pretty good. i was honestly surprised by how great it tasted with the addition of a hamburger patty (which was also perfectly cooked). the prices were pretty much on par for restaurants in the area and service was quick. the staff were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. i would highly recommend checking this place out if you find yourself nearby. Kid-friendliness: kids are welcome here, just be mindful that it is also a bar

The food was ok but they only had one option(chicken leg). The waitress was very passive aggressive and the food took ages to arrive.

Well done I ordered wings then 10 minutes later they said they ran out so I got poppers for dinner they were alright. But very nice people.

My husband and I went to Sudis for lunch today. Everything about this restaurant is amazing. The ambiance was very relaxing with reggae music played, the host was very friendly, and the most important was all the food we ordered were fantastic. The mussels in rose wine sauce was legit the best mussels we ever had; very tasty and fresh. The Jerk shrimp and chicken were delicious & tender. We also ordered bushwacker for our drink and it was also refreshing. Overall it was perfect lunch!

Awesome location great atmosphere amazing food. Highly recommend. And the view from up top is lovely.

9/25/23 - 10/6/23 My husband Ryan and I came here for our honeymoon and it was the best decision coming to St. Thomas!!! We loved coming Sudis and having a nice meal, appetizers, or drinks. The atmosphere is just so wonderful!! All the servers were just so friendly and we loved just having conversations with each of them. Would highly recommend coming here! You wont be disappointed. Im definitely going to miss this place!! The beer pretzels were one of my favorite!!

Stepping into Sudi s Caribbean Bar and Grill felt like finding a hidden island gem. The friendly service, easygoing ambiance, and Caribbean tunes made us feel right at home. Conveniently situated near Sapphire Beach, it s a great spot for those staying nearby, with prices that pleasantly surprised. The only minor downside was the absence of an ocean view within the pool area. Yet, the genuine Caribbean flavors and warm hospitality more than compensated. Sudi s radiates authentic island charm, inviting you to savor the essence of the Caribbean in every bite.

Everyone at Sudys was absolutely amazing and very friendly. We had the Breakfast Burritos, the 2 egg breakfast, the chicken nachos, the grilled jerk chicken, and the pizza. The thing we most enjoyed, was all the information about the island that made our honeymoon that much more enjoyable. The Frozen Bushwhacker drink was my absolute favorite. Come check them out!

The food and drinks here are BOMB! Breakfast burrito is the way to go here - cannot be beat! Had the tuna and shrimp for dinner and my god was it good. I literally cannot tell you how amazing this place is - between Steph at brunch, Natalie and Abbey (and wife), we could have stayed there forever. Had to keep telling myself to leave because it reminded me of my Home bars back in Cleveland. Genuinely going to miss this place more than anything else. Ive never felt so welcomed at a bar than I have at Sudis. On our trip to St. Thomas we went three separate times and each time we had different staff and each were as nice and as welcoming as can be. Cant reccomend the Sunday BBQ enough.

The food was ok. The wings are the the size of my middle finger , seriously! Small portions on the meals! They automatically charged 18% for tip and then prompt for more on the receipt! The alcoholic drink was watered down! Not planning on returning for the remainder of my vacation!

I dont understand how Sudis is rated as high as it is because it was slight in terms of options for caribbean fare. The atmosphere really caters to the resort crowd who, I believe, is there for the bar atmosphere and not so much the food. The ambiance is old school surf style with amazing local art, a bartender who really packed the cruzan confusion punch, and a chill little dog who doesnt come off her bean bag perch. My wife got the better meal of the two of us, she had the jerk shrimp that was prepared perfectly as the ahrimp werent rubbery and the jerk sauce was fantastic. I ordered a special, the beef stew, which I assumed was going to be caribbean style brown stew style beef...it was not, it was a typical beef stew with garlic texas toast. When the bill came I handed my card without looking at the bill and shame on me because there was an 18 percent service charge added to my bill, I have only.found that to be for parties of 5 or more but I guess if you drink enough you wont mind tipping on top of that. I wouldnt recommend this place unless you wanted to hang out with the resort crowd and have some drinks, maybe an appetizer but no need to go all out for a meal.

We ate here twice. The first time was great - good fish n chips, great margarita. Second time, the waitress passed off the risotto as dairy free (we specifically told her No Dairy), after two bites we were suspicious and asked the manager to double check. The chef came to our table and declared it was loaded with dairy Evidently this restaurant does not train its staff to recognize the severe health risks of eating foods one is allergic to.

Loaded fries and fish tacos were good value. Friendly service and good ambiance. Fresh breezes throughout the restaurant.
