Great spot for some craft beers in a smaller town! Beer is great! And menu is great for a local brewery spot! My only request of the location if they could add 1 TV (behind the bar?) so it could be an option to go watch the hockey game while enjoying great beer. Otherwise its a great spot and Id highly suggest it!

Cute little brewery to meet for some sample baby beers, the gingerbread beer was delicious. They had the game on, which was appreciated too.

We enjoyed trying out the diverse beer flavors, particularly the oatmeal stout. Yet, my rating falls short of 5 stars for this brewery due to the overwhelming noise from the karaoke night, especially considering the venues limited size. Our experience, worsened by being seated right beside the speaker, wasnt relaxing or enjoyable. With only one or two parties participating, it made things uncomfortable. We couldnt wait to leave.

I don t even drink beer so idk how it tastes but the food is amazing. Fantastic home style food, good portions. There are even games to play while you wait. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and perfect for a family. A must if you are looking for a good meal in Spruce and reasonably priced Kid-friendliness: Kids games, kids meals and lots of neat decor to look at Wheelchair accessibility: Spacious and multiple table heights

Really disappointed by this place. Came out for the wyrd bier adventure. When we came in, nobody seemed interested in talking to us. No welcome, no explanation about the brewery or any of the beers. None of the typical good cheer you would expect from the craft beer industry. We didnt even know there was food until the table next to us ordered some. Probably because we didnt get a menu when we sat down. We were going to get food but nobody came back to check on us. Of the 4 beers we tried, the cream ale tasted oxidized, and the winter spiced ale was way too light in body to carry the amount of spices jammed into it. We ended up leaving and going to another brewery. Will likely never go back here.

Their pretzel is one of the tastiest things on the menu. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was decent and reasonably priced.

Love this little local gem. Great beer, food and the staff are awesome. Everyone always has a smile on their face and love to chat. Especially loving the witbeer back on the menu. Highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: Kids are always welcomed and they even provide board games. My son absolutely loves the homemade pretzels and my daughter loves the cheezy garlic bread. I love that talking dog even has a craft soda on tap.

Great place for a quiet pint on a Wednesday afternoon

One of my favorite places to spend a few hours, tasting new wonderful beers, playing some crib, and chatting with the amazing staff (especially Nicole!) And the lovely owners. So pleased this gem is in our community.

Visited on a Friday evening after work and got to enjoy the lovely weather on the patio. The tasting flight of beer was great. I love trying all the different brews. We also had the pretzels, which were amazing, the chicken salad sandwich and the Tex mex flatbread. All the food was very good. Would definitely recommend!

Great food and service!

We love being able to bring our pup with us to enjoy the patio! Service is friendly and delightful. Beer is tasty! Always something new to try. Havent tried much of the food here, but I know the buffalo chicken dip is so delicious (tried on a previous visit).

A wonderful family run business, dedicated to involvement in the community. Best part is, we can bring our dog when enjoying an evening on the patio...Sierra says thanks for the treats!

The only reason I did not put 5 stars, is that I couldnt get fries, and I couldnt buy any stout. The stout make at the Talking Dog is soooo good. We really liked your ales. The food was good and very nicely prepared. Staff was super.

Really friendly place, dog friendly patio which was a huge plus for us! Unfortunately the beers we tried werent our favourite, but the service was fantastic!

Not in Spruce often, but always try to stop here when I am. The beer is honestly kinda middling, nothing bad but nothing outstanding either. Thats not a complaint, but I probably wont be picking any up at the liquor store. The food is great though, and in particular a big fan of the Buffalo chicken dip if you just want a snack. Friendly environment, and kid friendly too. Dogs are patio only. Worth a stop. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome, and Ive brought my under 1yr old several times.

We go here weekly the beer is wonderful, the food fantastic, and the soda makes it worth the whole trip.

Awesome spot! Smaller selection of beers, but they definitely dont disappoint. The Vanilla Saison is SO GOOD, I wish they sold it in cans. The Preztle with beer cheese is an absolute must, delicious.

Happened upon Talking Dog while in Spruce Grove for a Kijiji meet up. We decided to go in for a beer and a quick bite. What a lovely surprise! I had a meatball, marinara flat bread and it was delicious. The portion was large and the price was very reasonable. My wife had a big pretzel and enjoyed it too. We shared a flight of beers to try some of what they had on tap. The amber lager and the Galaxy IPA were both quite good. The service was excellent and the space is clean and uncluttered. They have a stack of crib boards and cards for people to use so we played a round while enjoying our food. I didnt win. Overall, this is a nice place to stop for a beer with some food. We will return when we are back in the area. Dont hesitate to try it.

Loved the pretzels, great variety of beer, staff were awesome, and the atmosphere is great (especially if you love dogs!)

Stopped for a few beers. They had a couple I liked. But limited selection on that particular day. Server was great and chatted about their beers. Multiple IPA options if youre into them. Lots of seating and parking is easy.

Pretty good dark beer super creamy. The tex-mex platter is super tasty. First time I had smash potatoes this way. Super original. Good job Dog Brewing!

Amazing beer, great food. Priced right

Stopped in for supper after a long day because of location. Ordered a pulled pork sandwhich and the feature sandwich. Took 20 minutes to come out with only one table ahead of us. The feature was 14 dollars and was literally 2 pieces of white bread with a bit of sandwhich meat and mustard. My pulled pork was full of bones and inedible due to that. Server did her job correctly and took it off the bill, she also brought us a new water without being asked when she saw we were out. Good service not good food.

Not a bad little spot to check out, hours could be a bit better on sundays however.

Decent beer, Took 30 min to get our food which was the sandwich of the day for $14 it was a lunch meat Turkey wrap with lettuce and bacon. Not impressed! And won t be returning! Left hungrier after eating here than we were before ordering.

For a new and first brewery in Spruce Grove Im very happy. Good diverse selection of brewed beers, from accessible to hopped and flavourful experimentations for your more seasoned craft beer enthuthiast. House made food was tasty and fresh, the bun for the dog was soft and held up well through entire meal. Staff was friendly and their Covid-19 protocols were solid putting us at ease.

Didnt realise there was a brewery in Spruce Grove but was more than delighted with it. Easy to park, excellent service and most of all an excellent selection of varied beers for all tastes. I like the hopped beers and enjoyed the sampler. Got myself my first Howler with the Hazy IPA. Nice food selection for a small establishment. Will be back again to try some more. Give it a try it is worth it and you can tell the owner and staff just love their craft and work. David

First visit today and it was great the beer flight i had i loved all four choices.

Great venue, location and concept, but man that owner can get prickly for no good reason. On two occasions now Ive had a poor experience with him. First he snaps at one of his employees because hes struggling to use the visa machine (couple months ago) and today he gets all chippy with me because I didnt realize we couldnt taste the beers before buying. I said, ok cool, I would have guessed there was a work around for that (hence the reason I even came into the store), no worries, but I dont want to buy a jug of beer that I dont know what it tastes like and calmly stroll out (not all their beer is to my liking). Cue the unnecessary theatrics from him... Dude, you need to chill out and drop the ego or youre going to develop an ulcer. Best of luck for the future. Try hold onto customers instead of being so unnecessarily rude. Everyone is having a bad time in covid, not just you...

Very friendly and beer was absolutely delicious! Tried 5 types (Sleeve and a Flight) and also had the pulled pork sandwich (yum) The biggest surprise was their Golden Ale. I am normally not a fan of lighter beers but the flavor was awesome while maintaining the lightness. A spectacular summer beer for anyone that doesnt like the fruit forward ones. Friend had the Big Dog for his meal and said it was fantastic.

New brewery with very crushable beers on tap. If youre looking for an easy to drink beer on a hot day, this is a good spot.

The beer is most excellent. The food however was disappointing. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the daily special ham panini both with smashed potatoes. Everything was slathered in the same garlic aioli so it all just tasted the same. Couldnt taste the ham or peppers in the panini and just a hint of the pork flavor came through. Ill definitely go back for some take out beer but probably wouldnt eat here again.

Excellent friendly service, reasonable pricing especially for refill on Growler/Howler bottles. Food menu is focused but still quite varied for a brewery which is nice. The BBQ pasta salad is absolutely bomb. Highly recommend a stop in here. Try the Espresso Stout! the sour is also excellent.

Good brews on tap, they need to work on putting what beer next to one another in a flight through. Had a sour next to a cream ale and the cream ale tasted like pickles hahaha. Overall, good stuff and friendly staff!

Went here over the weekend, it was nice and hot sitting on their patio. Its a smaller brewery, inside space is around 20 tables but that might be due to covid. Have a decent food selection is a blend between moms kitchen snacks and brew pub snacks. Beer was VERY good, we liked everything we tried and the patio is dog friendly! I definitely would go back! The only downer is that its right next to a time drive thru but everything else was great and the drive thru does offer some interesting people watching and their driving skills so not a dull moment.

Great beers I tasted 6 different ones and really liked the peach saison and the golden cream ale. The pretzel was great, loved the beer cheese sauce, the poutine was just ok in my opinion. Really love that some cool places are opening in Spruce Grove. My piece of constructive feedback to this place would be it needs better lighting. If you wanted to go for a date in the evening the hanging, rectangular, very fluorescent lights aren t doing anything for the ambiance when it s actually a cute space.

Had a very enjoyable night with a special group. Nice to have the place for one party. Liked that they did the covid screening. Very accommodating, friendly with a great atmosphere. Beer was very good. Enjoyed the beer cheese with fresh pretzels.

Awesome new brewery! Friendly service, had 5 beers on tap, good menu variety for a meal or snacks while sampling some beers. They do growlers as well.
