I always order my pho without cilantro. Come here fairly often but this time I started eating my pho only to realize it had cilantro so i set it aside. It happens, ill be honest. But this is the first time ever! I was expected to pay for a something I couldn t eat, I was floored. Maybe ,had someone come by the table to check on our food maybe it would ve been handled differently? Offered me 10% off the pho, just felt very wrong. I stated so, they stated it was all they could do for me. so I guess if they cant right their own mistakes and expect the customer to pay for them, then I guess I just wont be back.

My friend and I were at the tri a couple months ago and we came here because we were hungry. We order Lumpia and it was very tasty, but there was a young man named Sana Phan, and he is the best waiter I have ever had serve me! He deserves a raise!

We have been told by a few people that Brooklyn Tomato has fantastic food. We finally decided to go to the restaurant and have a meal. We ordered fresh prawn spring rolls and 2 six color vermicelli bowls. I believe the bowls were some of the best I have ever eaten....definitely the best in Spruce Grove/Stony Plain. The bowl was large, filled with delicious meats, bean sprouts, lettuce and rice vermicelli. My favourite meal is a Vermicelli bowl and now I have found my favorite restaurant in Spruce Grove that I would highly recommend and I will return to. Enjoy!

Excellent food with large portions, great service, and nice clean dining area.

Service and food was really good but had two black hairs in it. I was totally understanding but I really dont think 10% is good enough. I think that whenever something like this happens it should always be offered to be taken off the bill due to health reasons.

Do not go here. They have these poor huge exotic fish in a small tank with not one thing in it. When I informed them this is not okay they got defensive and rude and said they were told it s fine .as a fish breeder I can t imagine anyone telling them that. If you see this call and post the same review to spread awareness

Vietnamese cuisine is better. Everything is delicious. Sometimes there are a few oversights but nothing serious. An everyday restaurant and very affordable prices for the portion of food.

Food is UNREAL here. I highly recommend take-out or dine-in. The staff were very genuine and friendly. And again, the food was AMAZING.

I ordered the Pho Tai, the noodles were cooked very well, not under or over cooked. the meat was sliced thin and tasted amazing, cooked all the way through and not too chewy, and pho wasn t too oily and was flavourful! Update: 01/15/24 The pho is not nearly as compared to how it tasted a couple of months ago, the broth has no flavour at all except it tasted like noodle water and the noodles were very hard. Having had driven an hour from breton, I am very disappointed at the quality of food and the service the male cashier provided, he gave me the wrong drink and when i told him he took the drink back placed it on the counter made me wait 10 mins then continue standing at the register and then told me they were all out of the one i wanted

Always great food. Best Vermicelli bowls anywhere!

The only bad thing I can say about Brooklyn Tomato is that we assumed it was pasta/pizza based on the name and missed out on it for the first year living in Stony Plain. We order from/visit BT biweekly, its so good. The vegetables in all dishes are so plentiful and fresh. The proteins are good quality and well cooked. Its clear no short cuts are taken in their cooking like some other viet restaurants might do that result in tough proteins, limp vegetables or dry rice. Cannot recommend enough!

Weve been frequenting BT since it opened its Spruce Grove location. The food is always good and the staff there is friendly and helpful. Parking is a little bit tricky at times because of how many businesses are in the area but that isnt their fault. The Vermicelli bowls are probably my personal favorite in town; but thats just me

I dont know why we havent come here earlier...the food was excellent! We like heat, so ordered extra spicy satay soup, and lemongrass chicken vermicelli (extra spicy as well). The flavours were so fresh, and the dishes well-prepared. The pho broth was absolutely perfect. Service was also very efficient. I think we found our new favourite Vietnamese restaurant in the Grove!

Came here after the taco place across the street wanted nothing to do with my wifes food allergies. The meals were hot and delicious and the portions were huge! We will be back! Food : 5/5

Was getting over food poisoning from another restaurant so I decided to order soup from this place. The meat in the soup was still frozen when it was delivered, so much so that it cooled down the broth completely when I added it. The last thing I want while I m getting over food poisoning from one place is another bout of it. Disappointing.

Me and my family wanted to enjoy some Vietnamese cuisine for the night, we were using our bikes. We were trying to put our bikes inside considering that they were a bit pricey and we couldn t risk to leave it outside. However, the lady working there demanded and said No Bikes Inside. We would understand and would still continue to dine however, the way she told us this was rude and made us feel that we were a complete inconvenience. There was no people inside anyway and we were completely let down by this. If I could rate the restaurant a negative one, I would definitely would.

Just received an order via Skip. My husband wanted to give Brooklyn Tomato another chance, I didn t but gave in. The last few times I was totally disappointed as the prices had increased but the amount of food was cut in half. I loved their vermicelli bowls but when you barely get any noodles there is a problem and the food coming cold and tasteless. Prior to Covid we orders a lot from this restaurant and was never disappointed we used to love this restaurant not anymore I figured I d get value for my money and this time I just order fresh rolls and some calamari. The shrimp in the fresh rolls were not cleaned properly. And the calamari was so overcooked that it disintegrated when I bite into it. And it tasted like paste. My husband ordered Shanghai noodles with seafood and it came hot which was nice but it was greasy and oily. He had to pour out the grease a few times as the noodles were swimming in it The only thing that came and worth eating were the spring rolls. But then they didn t send any sauce for them. Absolutely no value for the money spent. Basically threw over $60 down the toilet. We will never order from here again. 3 strikes and you re out.

We arrived and we were told to sit anywhere so we sat in the booth by the window. We were asked to move as they need that table for big groups.of 6. First off, dont tell your guest to sit anywhere if you dont mean it. Second, this place is DEAD and there is 3 other booths (one being taken up by skip drivers) and two other tables that seat 6. Not okay, but Im hungry so I dont argue and we move and halfway through my meal, no large group had arrived but another couple did come in and sat in the same booth we were so unceremoniosly shooed out of and they were served. What the heck?? Youve lost my business. I know it means nothing to you and it may seem silly for me to react so strongly. However, please remember that you are in the HOSPITALITY industry and making the guests that are present NOW in your establishment and ready to spend their money should trump any potential guests that MAY show up. Thats why your tip sucked. I hope you get it right for the next people.

Was really good and big portions

My family attended BT for a dine in supper. The menu offered a great selection and our family all ordered different meals. My daughter said the grilled chicken and rice was magical. We tried 2 vermicelli bowls that were great. I had the Hot and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup which I recommend. I have been back and will continue to visit BT.

The staff here is super ignorant. No matter how long you stand there they will never attend you. Especially the lady at front she is super rude. She must need some more training how to attend visitors. Disappointed every single time.

Went tonight and ordered food and 2 milk teas. 1 of the milk teas were wrong, brought it back she then opened my drink and picked out the wrong topping with the scooper, then revealed my drink gave it back to me, had a drink of it and still had popping bubbles in it (wrong topping) she goes a 3rd time to pick out the bubbles I asked for a new drink or a refund, the other lady says no refund, then she takes my drink into the back to make me a new drink, they also ran out of topping between my 2 drinks and just added other stuff in my drink. And the use of the scooper in my drank cup and didnt wash it. DISGUSTING AND UNSANITARY!!!! We usually purchase food from there 2 times a week, $75-130 a time so approx 200 a week x 52 weeks. Must be nice to lose a customer over your mistake of a wrong drink knowing you didnt have the topping to put in the drink and not willing to give a refund.

First time ordering here, food arrived fast. We got the Peach Green Tea to wait and it was the best bubble tea I have ever had. It s hard finding vegetarian Vietnamese options, but this place has a whole section of the menu dedicated to it. Prices are very good as well. I am very happy and satisfied, will definitely be returning.

The best Vietnamese food in the Parkland County area!

Ive been here a few times in the past 6 months. The food is always fresh, always tasty and cooked just right. This has become my go to place! Vegetarian options: You can order vegetables only if you are a vegetarian. Dietary restrictions: Im gluten free (not by choice) and have never had an issue with cross contamination. Parking: The restaurant shares parking in the front but there is parking along side of the building.

We just ordered for the first time and highly recommend eating here! The food was authentic, flavourful and so fresh! Salad rolls with peanut sauce and the six colour vermicelli were absolutely delicious! A lot of food for your money too.

I ordered the 3 color vermicelli with grilled prawns as a take out. I was surprised when I opened it up at my location and seen there was no pork in the dish. There was supposed to be pork, spring rolls and I added prawns. So when I called back to ask about my missing protein, they responded with, We didnt have any pork so we added an extra spring roll. I think they should of asked me if this was ok, so I had a choice to change my order.

I got the number 30, chicken vermicelli stir fry. It was delicious. The only thing I didn t like was that I didn t know or think that it would come with mushrooms. I feel like that s something which should be mentioned in the menu or asked about when ordering. Otherwise the chicken pieces were large, veggies were large and tasty. Overall, great.

I love this place. Eat here several times a week. I ve never once had an issue. Quality is always good. My favourites are the salad rolls, green onion cake, spring rolls, mango salad, grilled chicken vermicelli noodle bowl, pho with sliced beef. All the soups are good.

We got take out and a week later we ate in the restaurant. Both times the food was 5 stars. The prices are good and the staff are great. It wasnt really busy which is sad because Thang Long which is close to my house was closed.

Best pho in Spruce. Not necessarily AMAZING pho, but the best pho youll get in the area if youre looking good pho. Got extra noodles added for $4, and they came out freshly blanched and hot. Lovely dinner.

Great Vietnamese food in Spruce Grove, Great customer service

I used to order from Brooklynn Tomatoe regularly and really enjoyed their food. I noticed recently that the quality wasnt as good, but shugged it off, until this last order. All food was overcooked. One was inedible, called in to see if we can have it replaced with something our family could enjoy and actually eat. The customer service was terrible. They argued our complaint. We decided to drive in to show them and again request a new dish. They proceeded to argue but eventually said they would make us a new dish b/c we werent leaving otherwise. Came home to find 2 long hairs in it and a piece of metal. Disgusting!

the pad thai smells and tastes like dog food took two bites of the 20$ dish which weighs 5 pounds and threw it away. Inedible. The rice paper wraps were ok. Nothing to write home about but much better than the pad thai.

I have ordered twice from there (spruce grove location) and both times they messed up my order. One time i ordered tom yum soup with only noodles and broth and i got all veggies and broth. This last time i ordered pad thai and stated not spicy. I got plain noodles. I drive 20 mins into spruce to order from them. Never again

Huge portions. Good flavor. Came for a 1hr lunch break and was back to work in time too. So that was excellent. There were vegans/vegetarians at the table and they were able to find good selection as well.

Poor service. No one came to assist us once we entered this restaurant. I had to yell into the back of the restaurant to ask if anyone was there. They have a HUGE fish in a tank that is far too small with no other fish and nothing else in it-very sad :( I asked the worker why that was allowed and she just giggled-she had no idea what I was even saying. Lost my appetite.

I accidentally ordered pick up to the wrong location, (I thought Id ordered to South Edmonton) and when I arrived at the South side location, found that Id ordered to Spruce Grove. I couldnt get to SG and I wanted to pay for my mistake but the person over the phone in Spruce Grove wouldnt have it, and told me to just order at South side, and he would handle it. He did, and I ordered at South side (tipping extra, the staff said they would share it with SG). Im so sorry again, and thank you so much! The food was great as always, we had the Chicken and Beef lemongrass vermicelli, and Brooklyn Tomato special Pho. Everything tasted great and the portions are great too . Well definitely be back!

Great service! The iced coffee was an awesome suprise! The spicy vermecelli bowl was actually spicy. Not a muted example of spicy that everywhere else serves up. A bit of a kick to the mouth to start, then tastey and warm all the way to the end, not uncomfortable at all, just right!

Food was good little pricy but u do get a lot for what you pay for. Staff was friendly let us try the Panda bubble tea for free was pretty good gonna definitely order one next time Im there.

Overall flavourless, extremely subpar and underwhelming. The broth is the most important element in pho and they definitely didnt get that right. The broth tasted like it came out of a can, unseasoned; you didnt get any star anise, ginger, clove or cinnamon flavour. (Ive never said that about any Vietnamese restaurant before. If other restaurants use canned broth, they at least made an effort to season it) We asked for chili peppers and didnt get any, Bun Bo Hue had no flavour and wasnt remotely spicy, Pho Dac Biet had the terrible broth and both soups were lacking in meat. Order the Five and Six Coloured Vermicelli, shrimp was so overcooked that the shell was stuck on and and you couldnt peel it, meat was dry and overcooked, fish sauce tasted like sugar water with a tiny drip of fish sauce. Onion Cake was undercooked and tasted mostly of batter and nothing like onion, Crispy Squid was neither crispy nor squid since the amount of squid in there was so small you honestly couldnt tell there was any in it; definitely dont order that because youre getting charged $12.95 for slightly fried batter, and if you wanted just batter, the onion cake is that but cheaper. Definitely not coming back since they didnt even get the basics right, and definitely would not recommend.

I order the same thing 3 days a week and it is fantastic every time. I swear each time I get this meal it gets bigger and bigger. Portions are worth every penny if those were still a thing.

Ordered wonton soup, wonton tasted like fish, there were noodles maybe 4 wontons. 2 shrimp and 2 pieces of chicken the broth was lacking in flavour. Some broccoli, carrots , celery and raw onions (and I like onions but not old tasting). We also ordered Ginger beef. All I can say is Wheres the beef!! Why pineapple in ginger beef.? I have never had more veggies than ginger beef. Again lacking in flavour. When they first opened could not say enough how great they were. Very sad showing Brooklyn Tomatoe!

I regularly order out from Brooklyn Tomato and have always been impressed by both their fantastic quality and portion size, especially considering that they assured us there is no msg. I have eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants across North America and can easily say their five colour vermicelli is rated among the best.

The ingredients are fresh and plentiful, nothing processed at this little gem of a restaurant. Will definitely return again when coming through Spruce Grove.

Vermicelli and noodle type dishes are great, but other dishes like seafood platter and ginger beef was gravely disappointing. The $18.95 seafood platter was 95% vegetable with 5 shrimp and few pieces of fishy squid. Three of us and the total with tip was over $70 for 3 items! Will only return for vermicelli bowls.

Tried this place.. it was ok. Very oily food though.. ginger beef is full of soggy vegetables and a sugar sauce not spicy at all.. Very disappointed.. the fried rice is ok though but prices are a little high.. i never received my 15% off.. perhaps you only get the discount when ask about it... i tried this place.. i wish them luck in spruce grove.. but sorry was extremely disappointed with the quality of food and freshness of ingredients used on dishes.. too much oil

Have eaten here a few times now, we always get something new off the menu. And its always spectacular. Today I got the pad Thai and asked for extra spicy, they did not disappoint. Best pho in the parkland area. And we have tried them all. Highly recommend this place.

Ive felt as I have had the best of the best until I have experienced Brooklyn tomato... Do not here come expecting superior 5 star service. Food quality is superior to any vietnamese restaurant north of Calgary. I can only say that, as I have not eaten everywhere in Calgary... Hands down this is my go to place for just give me something good and they always deliver. You will not be disappointed with the food. Enjoy.

We took the family to Brooklyn Tomato in Spruce Grove last night and it was SO good! The portion sizes were huge, the price was great and there was a large vegetarian and vegan menu to choose from. The dishes were heavy on veggies and sauces and veg protein, which we loved and the staff was super friendly, and always smiling!

Green onion cakes good. Spring rolls good. Service with a smile. As for the pho. Meh, fresh ingredients but the most important part..the broth, was totally flavorless. Disappointed in that as all the hype was saying how good it was. So much better pho around spruce grove!

Shrimp curry/coconut rice fantastic

I ve been here several times and it hasn t disappointed. When I find a dish I love I have a hard time bringing myself to venture out and try something new so I always order the same dish. The sizzling coconut curry seafood is so amazing and has all my favourite things in it, namely seafood. But I ve also had the Pad Thai, the coconut curry chicken, their spring rolls and green onion cakes and it s all amazing. The food is always fresh and the servings are extremely generous. The young waiter is always very friendly and service is quick (though it s never busy, which frankly surprises me). I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Plan to share a meal or bring leftovers home.
