El Taco Loco in Spruce Grove

Delicious Mexican food in Spruce Grove. I m a big fan of authentic Mexican food and this did not disappoint. They start you off with a complimentary chips and salsa (watch out the spicy one IS SUPER SPICY), we had already ordered the Nachos to share. Both are delicious. I had the Birria Tacos and my husband had the fish tacos. Both tasted amazing. I have been to many disappointing Mexican restaurants but this one, well it was awesome. Their guac is soooo good. The service was great. Our waitress was accommodating and very pleasant. I highly recommend trying this if you haven t.

Visited today for my birthday lunch, and first time at this restaurant. I have to say the food was amazing! Especially enjoyed the fish tacos, the guacamole, and the Pina Colada was delicious! Service and atmosphere was great as well, will definitely be back!

Checked the menu on line and picked something out, but when I got there was told that wasn t an option anymore. Noticed they have an extra taco special on Tuesdays so I tired to order the mixed 3 tacos (plus the extra) but was told the extra didn t apply to that order so I switched to the Birria tacos as my waitress said the extra taco applied to them. My order came out with only three tacos and an awesome salsa wheel . Tacos were delicious but not enough food so I asked for the menu back to order more. I asked about where my extra taco was and was told that the extra taco didn t apply to my Birria tacos either (although she originally said they did and was the reason I switched my order) Tried to order the Sopes and was told they didn t have any. Great food but not enough (tacos should come with rice and beans or some kind of side), confusion with the extra taco special and the menu issues made it a disappointment in the end. Went home hungry.

Excellent Mexican restaurant. The food is very tasty, fresh and authentic. Highly recommend and we ll come back when visiting Edmonton as it s worth the short detour.

I got the birria tacos. Its definitely not the best Ive ever had, but it was good. The salsas were flavorful, and I enjoyed the different options.

Got charged for an extra sour cream when i ordered the quesadilla that says right on the menu there is sour cream in it and since i asked for it on the side instead of in the quesadilla, i got charged?? I assumed since it was already included I wouldn t be charged for it to be on the side.. then when I tried to say that s not what I meant she ignored me and just talked over me and said have a good day and left. It s literally listed as an ingredient on the menu, why does changing where it is on the plate cost extra?

Sadly, this was probably the worst take out meal we ever had. I had 4 small soft corn tortillas with dry shredded chicken and a small green sauce. No taste. Nothing else with it. After one bite I threw it out. My husband had a beef and cheese mixture with tortillas. It stuck to the foil it was wrapped in and lacked taste. For a $40 meal, it was disappointing.

Beiria tacos were very good

Ceviche was hot and tasteless no music background silent like a morgue no orchata water no hibiscus water I ask for a sangria they dont have it nether of those options tacos were good I tried all of them and the only one good In my opinion is the birria even the broth was delicious the washroom were clean spotless I like that, the waitress she was amazing very attentive whit us and the last I tried the churros I guess are frozen pre made or maybe Im wrong but they were delicious whit vanilla ice cream nice touch itll be nice having 2 more mexican desserts and maybe offer coffee and conchas but overall I think the restaurant can do better has a lot of potential Good job and good luck I wish you success guys!.

Weve been twice, once at the old location and now to the new one. We just do not understand the hype! First visit was a while ago, and we thought the tacos, quesadillas, and sauces (with chip wheel) were not that great. Honestly wondered if we had the right place. It was all VERY watery, and not that flavourful. At our last visit a couple weeks ago, the inside of the store seemed like it needed a good clean, booths were sticky and the floor below was covered in food, there was also TONS of flies (ew). We had the pulled pork and birra tacos, the flavour was better this time, but they are still so watery. And the chip wheel comes with 5 chips?? Not to mention the music was inappropriate (swearing, content, etc.). Later that night and for the next couple days we both dealt with food poisoning symptoms. Not going back. Parking: Depending on events at the nearby sporting venues, parking can be an absolute nightmare. Kid-friendliness: On this particular visit, the music was entirely inappropriate, and it was so dirty I wouldnt have let my kid walk around, or sit on the booth. Theres also no change table in the bathrooms.

We won t come back. The food was just ok. Nothing spectacular. The service was equally ok. Not great. I only left a tip because it s polite. She didn t actually deserve one. The biggest bait and switch was the chip and salsa wheel. No word of a lie 8 chips for 4 people. Ask for more and was charged for them lol. Thanks for the experience but not worth the money.

Had the most wonderful waitress this evening - she was extremely professional, organized, and could tell she loved this job all while the restaurant was super busy! I hope she can serve us again the next time we visit!

Restaurant is decorated beautifully! Ive tried the fish tacos and the El Pastor. El Pastor was not very good - very fatty/greasy, not much flavour. Fish tacos were OK.

Staying at nearby hotel and thought Inwoild check it out. The food was amazing!!! As much as the appy and main course were delishous, the comp bowl of sauces was out of this world. If the food wasnt good enough, the server Alaina was amazing! Besides serving myself and other patrons inside, was answering the phone and doing skip orders at the same time, worst of all pos was down and all she did was smile and provide outstanding service. Highly recommend

How does a non alcoholic Pina colada cost the same as a boozy one??

Came in for some lunch to try El Taco Locos taco Tuesday special and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. Our server, Kaylie, was attentive and she provided great insight on the menu. Which helped a lot. I ended up trying the beef tacos locos and they tasted just like when I was in Mexico the last time. Check out El Taco Loco if you want authentic Mexican cuisine and a over all enjoyable experience. I will definitely be going back.

We stopped here 7pm on Friday and got right in. They have really good food and we ll be back for the margaritas!! So tasty!! Kid-friendliness: There were quite a few kids there. We had to reorder the quesadilla as it came with lettuce and veggies but they made a new kid approved plain one right away.

Had dinner at Taco Loco s last evening.First time dining there and I was not disappointed . Our server was a pleasant and efficient young man who attended our table promptly.Our dinner was served to us in good time and it was very nicely plated besides being totally delicious. Three of us had different varieties of tacos and my granddaughter and daughter -in-law had beef nachos. My hunger was satisfied after eating two very fresh shrimp tacos and my grandson was gracious enough to take the third one to sample.I just can t say enough about the Mexican food experience (hope to go there one more time before I go back to Ontario) =5

if this restaurant has no fans i m dead. it s so good. I m heartbroken to report that despite paying the extra $3.50 for guacamole to pair with my DELICIOUS birria tacos i arrived home with my takeout to discover they had forgotten to include the guac. i will forgive them because they re the best tacos i ve ever had in my life and i will be back soon.

Ive tried ordering food 3 times from here. Each time has been a bad experience: First time, the food I wanted was no longer allowed to be cooked for take out. Second time, an order for two people took an hour to cook, despite the fact the restaurant was quiet and there werent skip orders going on. This time I get there and they tell me that they tried to cancel my order, but couldnt. Because they dont have the ingredients to make food. Plus, on the door there was a sign saying we are full, please come back after 4pm despite the fact there was literally no one in the restaurant. I am sure the food is OK, but I wont ever know, as everytime Ive tried to be a customer they just somehow dont want the business. Not only will I not come back, or try again on my own, I will actively veto this place as an option if anyone suggests we eat here. It shouldnt be this difficult to order an item from the menu and A) actually get it, and B) get it within a reasonable time. Ive never seen a restaurant do this poorly with simple order taking.

Went to try them out at 7:20 they close at 8 they said they are only doing take out couldnt even try one of there margaritas while other people are sitting and eating I understand they where closing in 40 min but come on ill just stick to 3 amigos instead of wasting a drive to be turned away before they actually close

this place was definitely a disappointment. if you are a vegetarian, dont go here - there is not much. all of the food was subpar and not authentic at all. I wouldnt recommend eating here.

We went there on Cinco de Mayo, they had live music. The food was delicious as always, we ended up staying close to 3 hours. If youre looking for authentic Mexican cuisine, this is definitely the place to go.

This is the real Mexican food!! Michelada is amazing

Food wasnt bad, atmosphere was cozy. But the service was lacking a little, forgot our orders and even forgot to bring out our appetizer. Respectfully there was 5 tables occupied at the time but, Id rather get an appetizer and wait a little more for our meal. Just my perspective.

We tried the tinga tacos, Birria tacos and the guacamole and chips! The food was absolutely amazing and our server was super kind and she was helpful giving recommendations , topping off our lovely experience at El taco Loco! We will definitely be back!

I ve been here so many times and had such great food and service. I came to eat dinner here last week and they were closed early with no signage. I came here today and was turned away because it s slow so we re only doing takeout orders , I m sorry but this logic makes absolutely no sense to me. There were 4 people working and the restaurant was empty? It makes no sense to turn away customers who want to sit down and eat. Pretty Disappointing.

Lacking flavour/spice on most of the dishes we ordered. Fresh ingredients but everything was quite bland.

The food was good. However, I ordered for pickup and stated no cucumbers in the ceviche. It was loaded with them. I stated no sour cream or cheese on the enchilada and it had that on them. This was very disappointing. I live out of town so couldn t take them back.

We have been their frequent customer & we loved to come to this place & also get our friends here but this time it did disappoint me ! The new staff & the service was disappointing ! We ordered the usual mexi nachos & they did not bring us the side dips, we had to kept asking the server , no water refills , asked them 3 times to get us the bill & they had kept us waiting for 20mins. I d honestly suggest you guys to train the staff please & we ll come back again soon.

Really good food and nice atmosphere

Had an amazing lunch today with husband and 17 month old son today. Was craving some Mexican. I felt like I was eating in Mexico with all these authentic flavours. We had the guacamole and tostada ceviche to begin they were both lovely and fresh and had Birria tacos and enchiladas both tasted amazing the best Mexican I ve had in a very long time. The service was exceptional as well shout out to Elaina she provided great customer service and very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and very calm while working alone in a busy period. We will definitely coming back and recommending this place to all our friends thank you

Best mexican food in Alberta!

If we want Mexican food, this is our go to. Used to have the absolute best Sangria but the last time we were in they said it wasn t available any more. Hope that was a glitch because it really was best I ve ever had. Not super quick but hey what are you expecting from a sit down Mexican restaurant in Spruce? Huge menu with variety of dishes. Two of our favourites are the Camarones Rancheros a flavourful shrimp dish with rice, beans and corn tortillas, and the Birria Tacos Locos tender slow cooked shredded beef with melted cheese drool! Comes with a broth for dipping. Love the guacamole and the assortment of salsas that come with chips be warned, some of those salsas are fiery hot!

I went there last week, I try tacos (shrimp and beef) but something cause me a severe diarrhea, also I could see the floor was dirty, looks like they don t do a properly housekeeping inside the restaurant, it is disgusting to find rest or pieces of food under the tables, definitely I won t eat there anymore

I ve given this place two tries now. The first, I did a take out order at their initial location only to get home and find long black hairs in our food. It turned me off for several months to say the least. Then I went with a friend to the new location, as she was a frequent visitor who insisted I give it another try. Both of us left disappointed. It is now overpriced for what you get. The food was very bland, so nothing near what you experience on the streets of Mexico. When we wanted dessert the male owner was quite annoyed as he would be closing in half hour, but the waitress told us he would make an exception and it would be our last order. The dessert came out the tiniest square, so again you don t get what you pay for. I won t risk going back.

The restaurant is amazing !!! Working on a project and staying at a hotel just a stones throw away. We have had the pleasure of dining in three times , each occasion has been been unreal. The servers are friendly and food come out quick at a very reasonable price for such a delicious meal. Stoked to run through the menu.

The food was amazing. Had the enchiladas Roja, the shrimp tower and a couple micheladas. Shrimp tower was was massive. The salsas are so good. Habanero was my favorite and I even liked the chili oil. Will go back. Food and service a little slow but totally worth it if you are not in a hurry.

This is one of the best restaurants we have eaten at in a long time. Upon entering one immediately notices how clean and fresh the place looks and the food smells incredible. Being on the first floor of a medical building, there is lots of parking, easy access, and the windows offer a bright dining room. Both times we have been here we were immediately greeted and offered a table. They have a selection of Mexican beers which help bring back memories. The owner, Raoul, has chosen to offer authentic Mexican food and there are plenty of choices. We chose to start with the Aguachile (raw shrimp, cucumbers, and onions swimming in a vinegar sauce) and Huarache (thick corn tortilla topped with meat, vegis, and sauce). Interestingly, they decided to add tomatoes to the Aguachile for our second visit and the addition was very welcomed. A platter of various salsas (and tortilla chips) was brought out and the spiciness of each was explained. We then moved on to more food, even though we did not really need it. We had the Enchiladas (roja salsa) and the Taco Tinga (shredded chicken) on the first visit and the Enchiladas (roja salsa) and Alambre (combination of meats with soft corn tortillas) on the second visit. Each of the dishes were outstanding. The flavors were out of this world fresh and fantastic. Having a variety of salsas meant that we could vary the flavor of each bite which made the meal even better. We did enjoy a beer with our meals and they bring a bottle of water which you can pour yourself. Despite the Winter conditions outside, we felt like we were in Mexico. The music was at a perfect level where you can hear it but it does not interfere with talking. Our server was friendly and attentive each time and prompt to ask if there was anything we needed during the meal. Our dining experience each time was fantastic. The prices are not cheap but the food is well worth it. You will definitely be happy you made the choice to dine here.

The food was just ok. Didn t seem like a lot was made from scratch. The kid s nachos had tons of paper stuck into the cheese and even tho we told 2 different staff members, nobody seemed to care. The churros were the same frozen store bought ones you get at fast food places. Just doesn t compare to some of the other Mexican places in Edmonton or Sherwood Park unfortunately.

My husband and I have been eating here since they opened. They have absolutely amazing and authentic Mexican food. The Al a diabla tacos locos, which are spicy shrimp tacos are absolutely to die for. We order them just about every single time. The house chicken wings are also delicious, as is their guacamole. The staff are always friendly and greet you with a smile. We will keep going back, and always recommend people try this place out. It never disappoints!

The food was so good and fresh! And there was lots of it! Remember that they will bring you a sampler with 4 different kinds of salsa and chips so plan accordingly. I had the nachos and they were so good and my hubs had a dish that I cannot remember the name of, but he cleared it! And do not get me started on the drinks!

So impressed! The place is very nicely decorated. The food was so well prepared, generous with all the fresh sauces, very friendly service, amazing care in presentation, attention to detail and then I found out it s family owned and it made perfect sense! A jewel for the town and not to be underestimated.

Haven t ordered anything here yet that we didn t like. The mar y tierra taco is a favorite. Even the sauces platter that comes with your order is a delight. I d always get churros for dessert too. There were a couple busy times we waited quite long for our order but that only tells you how good the food is when the place is packed.

When Taco Loco first opened in Spruce i was so happy. As a Latina from texas(where we have the best tacos out there, sns) in Canada I always look for places that cater to authentic Mexican/TexMex food. The first time we went it was so good! Full of flavour! After they moved near Tri Leisure, it s not the same. Their food has shifted for the Canadian pallet now. It was as if there was absolutely no salt, pepper, garlic or spices in that kitchen when they cooked. I ordered birria tacos. They were NOT made like actual birria. They literally gave me basic barbacoa with a flavourless broth on the side. Birria tacos are dipped into its consume and assembled while frying the tortillas on the grill. That is not what i got. My favourite thing there was the tres leches cake. It reminded me of my grandmas. They NEVER have it available even though it s still listed. Everything else was great! Amazing and kind service, awesome outdoor seating and the inside is nice too! Just there s no flavour to the food anymore.

The food was very authentic and tasty. If you like Mexican cuisine, you will not be disappointed with El Taco Loco.

I have been to going to Mexico for the last 35 years and have been looking for an authentic Mexican place in Canada. My wife and I were in Edmonton visiting family and staying at the Holiday Inn. We walked over to the Taco place to check it out. I was blown away by the quality of their food. I thought I was in Mexico! Aiden our server was awesome and recommended a specific dish- wow was it good. They also give you different types salsa and chips free with the meal. The salsa is the best and had different heat levels and flavors. I wish there was an El Taco Loco in British Columbia.

Server was super nice , there tacos were honestly the worst tacos I have ever had in my life. They serve 3 and I couldn t even eat 2. 21$ and now I m off to McDonald s Dietary restrictions: Bye

I love Mexican cuisine because its a punch of bold bright flavours which was lacking in both the meats and salsas here unfortunately. Other than that lovely environment that they set up.

SO impressed! Outstanding food, service, and cozy atmosphere. I love REAL spicy and they definitely have that, as well as milder options. A lot of care put into the food. You really notice the quality ingredients and thoughtfulness in the menu. Check it out!

My favorite Mexican restaurant. The staff is friendly and prompt. The food is amazing. I recommend the Mixta for an incredible sandwich. The Shrimp Cerviche is so tangy and refreshing. Plus how can you resist a mango bulldog on a hot day. I love this place. Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. Parking: Lots of convenient parking.

We absolutely loved El Taco Loco! Delicious food, very authentic and incredible customer service. We sat at the bar watching drinks being made and listening to staff and it is truly a small family run business. Drinks made us feel like we were right in Mexico! Service was amazing (be patient as it came get busy but definitely worth it). We love supporting local and this place is definitely it! We will definitely be checking out their new Mexican bakery and bar in town too!

Got the fish taco, unfortunately the fish was non existent. It was all breading with hints of fish. 2nd time I ve tried it and not worth the amount I paid .

We ordered take out and were highly unimpressed, most of the food ended up in the bin. Our quesadilla was wet, absolutely swimming in a watery liquid, I called up and was told by a staff member they have soggy chicken which can cause that.. straight in the bin... The nachos were also soggy, the top few were edible. but the rest was in the bin. The prawn tacos were edible but stone cold. Everything looked like it had been cooked 10 hours before. Worst Mexican food we have ever had. I wouldnt recommend to anyone. they should be ashamed at the food we received.

I am becoming a regular at El Taco Loco. I went once and was hooked. The food is fresh and tastes great. I have not had a bad meal there. The staff are wonderful, informative and quick. Authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. Definitely worth the drive to Spruce Grove, you wont be disappointed at all. I believe in supporting local businesses, and I will be supporting El Taco Loco for as long as they are open. Enjoy!!

My partner and I tried it out randomly today, after seeing it on an Edmonton food blog months ago. And it was great! Our food was delicious - special mention was the bierria tacos! Also the complementary salsa wheel was a pleasant surprise. You don t get complementary items nowadays many places. Sarah was our server and was also wonderful, and attentive. I would ve loved to see some Horchata on the menu, but otherwise it was delicious :).

New location, food is excellent, portions are generous. We will be back!

They should change their profile as their new location is way better! I love Mexican food, as if they say spicy it is actually spicy. I had a shrimp taco, and it was good spicy! I wish portions were a bit bigger, but I still left full. They have a sample of nacho and dips for them. But only concern was, if they were re using those dips. Not saying they do, but if they dont that would be a lot of food waste as I probably ate 1/10 of their dips. Overall, I left very satisfied and will bring my family back!

The tacos are delicious, I especially recommend the Mar y Tierra tacos, it is a combination of shrimp with beef that is a real explosion of flavor in the mouth; The attention definitely deserves a special comment: we were served by Sarah and there is nothing more pleasant than always being served with a very friendly smile, she is the best without a doubt, she always made sure that we were comfortable and that our food was just as we expected. we had ordered. Absolutely amazing!!!! Ordered the birria tacos and was phenomenal. The salsa tray they bring out was huge and delicious. Prices were very reasonable and surprised that the three tacos filled me up. Will definitely be back again very soon! Do yourself a favour and check this place out!

We just moved back to Spruce Grove after a seven year absence and was delighted to find this Mexican restaurant. The food was unbelievably delicious. We had beef tacos, el pastor tacos, chicken enchiladas, churros and chococake flan. Our waitress, Sarah, was fantastic. She knew the menu well and was very warm and welcoming. Come to find out she was promoted to manager two weeks ago and we certainly understand why. Definitely worth your time to visit this restaurant. Your taste buds will thank you!!!

Coming from snobby Vancouver visiting the folks we didnt have high expectations, but we were totally blown away by this place. Fresh, simple, zesty authentic fare, good portions size. I hope this place gets lots of community support and is here for the long haul!

Visiting spruce grove for the first time all the way from Ontario and I stumbled on this small restaurant. I didn t have much expectation because there s not many options here but I have to say I was blown away by this spot. The food was 9/10; music was 10/10, and overall experience was fast and easy. Check it out.

My husband and I love going here. It s our favourite place for Mexican, no where else even compares to them. My favourite is their Tinga tacos. My husband loves the spicy salsas.

The guy serving me was super helpful just talked me through the menu and suggested an awesome pulled beef tacos, the salsa and guacamole on the side is great! I would recommend this place to anyone who likes tacos.

Really wanted to love this place but extremely disappointed with our takeout tonight. Food is very overpriced for what you get: taste was not there, hardly any cheese on the nachos, very dry and the leche tasted spoiled.

This is one of the few restaraunts within Spruce Grove that continuously impresses me with each visit. The staff is incredibly friendly both in person and over the phone, the building is unique, and the food quality is unrivaled. If youre looking for an enjoyable experience I cant recommend El Taco Loco enough.

So, now I wonder, we moved to Spruce Grove 6 years ago, we passed by this place hundreds times, and I basically work 2 blocks away, and why havent I tried this place until today??? I do not know. But I do regret my last 6 years without knowing this place. I have been to Mexico, I had tacos there before. I had tacos from other restaurants and taco bell (if you can count that too) This was by far the best taco I ever had. Period. I am pregnant who cannot eat whole lot of meat these days, and I enjoyed their beef taco till the very last bite. I loved it so much so I felt so bad I was getting full. It was beautiful day today, and it was beautiful taco.

Stopped by with my husband and two babies for our first time eating out as a family of four. We ordered the guacamole, fish tacos, shrimp tacos and quesadillas with rice and refries beans for the toddler. Our food came out quickly and tasted great! They ve got tons of menu options and we will be sure to be back to try some more!

I have been supporting Taco Loco since they have opened on mcleod ave, love the food! I ordered pick July 22, 22. While I was standing at the counter/ bar area, the servers and back attendees made eye contact and kept walking. This went on for 10 min or so, after I asked for help to pick up an order, one of the waitress turned to me and said CANT YOU SEE WE ARE BUSY!!! Again food is awesome but they need to invest in some customer service.

We came here for lunch on Sunday. The new location, by the Tri, is fresh and new, well laid out with all the Mexican flair. The food was magnificent as was the service. We will definitely be back.

Its shocking to me the experience we just had at El Taco Loco because we have only heard positive things since it opened! Weve been looking forward to going there to eat since restaurants have been closed down during the pandemic and finally got there tonight. Well...... We absolutely wont be going back! In a back handed way we were basically told not to come back because I have Celiac Disease (not my choice I am unable to digest gluten - wheat, rye, barley and oats contaminated with gluten due to field proximity). After we sat down, I asked our server what they have for gluten free options on their menu and she told me the fish tacos - I told her well those are breaded so definitely not those....... Mexican restaurants are usually fairly gluten free friendly because its meat with seasoning, salsa and corn tacos so super easy to accommodate. In fact, most restaurants are always very happy to accommodate that I have Celiac Disease which Ive know since 2008 and this is actually probably the rudest most appalling restaurant experience I have had in those 14 years!! Its quite clear the restaurant has no idea what gluten is because the server did go and ask someone after she said then we dont have anything else that its just the fish tacos, thats usually what people with that problem order. When she came back after asking she said as a one time thing we will make you any taco you want gluten free. I asked her what does that mean? She said like only tonight, if I come back they would not do that again! Then she suggested I get a burrito and I asked her how, as a bowl but what about the chicken and beef you said its not gluten free? And the burrito is a flour tortilla and she says yeah we just put it in the frying pan to warm up the tortilla quickly and I told her no Im allergic to flour. Everything youre suggesting clearly has flour. So then she tells me you just read the menu and see if I think anything is suitable for me and I was pretty much like yeah okay Im done, definitely not eating here. Anyways I had ordered a virgin margarita. No idea what was in that so I didnt drink it and the person I was with had a beer. I didnt order any food so he didnt either. He drank the beer, we paid and we left. Im appalled that I was treated this way because of a disease I didnt ask to have! Its very abnormal these days for restaurants to have zero awareness of food allergies and sensitivities so anyone else who requires a special diet please beware!

Meh The whole experience leaves you wanting. Drinks were awful. Very small portions for what they are charging. Atmosphere was bland and the music too loud. Was like sitting in a hospital cafeteria with paper flags on the ceiling. Won t go again. Waitress was combative and and rude initially. Booths are small and very uncomfortable. Everything is skimpy and cheap. Nope . Two thumbs down

Food was good, but service was severely lacking. Waitress took a exceptionally long time to take our order even though there was 3 of them hang out behind the bar not doing anything. Never came back to ask how the food was and never brought us our bill had to go hunt someone down.

This place is totally authentic. We talked to the owner and cook and they were very nice. Food is awesome and same as home. I grew up and lived in Mexico most of my life, so I can tell you that this is real! Totally recommend it. Been there already twice in 2 weeks.

Went here for the first time yesterday, and it has earned its reputation. Food was amazing. Our server was quick, attentive and very nice. I LOVED their sauces, as well. I got the Verde Enchiladas and the only reason I dont recommend them is because my husband got the Molr Enchiladas which were better. But mine were still great. Dont forget to get your Churros for dessert. I moved to here from Texas 8 years ago and this temporarily cured my homesickness. :) Ill definately be back.

I had been to this place at their old location and really enjoyed the food. Decided to stop and get take out on the way home from a long tattoo appointment. The food was ready pretty quick even though they said roughly 20 minutes which was nice. I ordered the Asada sandwich with fries and a chicken quesadilla. The sandwich was great, lots of flavor. The quesadilla however was not like one Id ever had, as you can see from the picture it looks like the equivalent of a big mac, toppings jusr thrown in there was an abundance of sauces. Needless to say it was extremely soggy, and I barely finished half before throwing it out. Id go back but Id avoid ordering that again.

The place is really nice and clean. The servers was really friendly and helpful. Food was excellent

Food was bland, you can make better at home, especially with the authentic ingredients. I did enjoy the idea of complimentary chips and salsa, however there were about 12 chips for the 3 of us and 4 salsas that were all very bad. We actually heard the microwave go off several times when waiting for our food, so its likely frozen and the taste demonstrates that as well. Service was alright, not super friendly but definitely not bad service. They play the same 10 songs over and over so not a fun dine in experience. The booths are not very comfortable as they slant forward, Id recommend sitting at the tables. But overall, I will not come back here and will warn people that the food isnt worth it. They were also out of almost all drinks, they only had cans of diet coke and iced tea. Overpriced spirits as well, so I did not order any. Stay home or go to Quesada. Its cheaper and at least its flavourful. I am not sure how people have rated this place highly, this is not authentic Mexican food in the slightest.
