Good food!!

Went there Sunday for brunch. Everything was amazing. Our server was so friendly.

Ordered 2 breakfasts, both were the Two by Fives. Sausages were absolutely disgusting, the colour was a terrifying grey, we told our waitress who offered no fix. Pancakes were bland and greasy, couldnt eat those either. All in allbwe paid $40 for 2 eggs and 2 pieces of bacon each. Left and went home for breakfast. Dont waste your money, this was my first visit back in 2 years (last visit was absolutely horrible as well) will never be back. Lots of other breakfast options elsewhere in Spruce

I normally give pretty generous reviews. Our waitress (Tanya) was the bright spot in an otherwise dismal visit. I sent pancakes back twice for being undercooked and had to settle for a meat substution in the Reuben sandwich because the restaurant was out of corned beef.

Not the greatest breakfast 2 by 5 was boring, sausages not great, bacon was tiny, pancakes greasy. Eggs and toast were fine, service was good. Definitely not my favourite breakfast I ve ever had

Ive not been here for a while, so I went with my wife daughter and friends only to be greeted with the most unfriendly waitress I ever met she was very rude, she could see we was all still eating and kept asking if we needed boxes then sent someone else to ask if we need boxes. The restaurant wasnt busy. Then, when it came to pay, she just shoved the card machine in my face and didnt ask if I was paying buy card or cash. Then, while i was paying, she was quite loud enough to tell another customer that she was only on 15 bucks an hour and only came for the tips. Well, people skills will help with getting tips.

Horrendous. Ordered through skip. Wife received half her order and the toast for my clubhouse was burned black. Absolutely uneadible. Not sure what happened to you but you lost this customer

I often eat at Rickis in Spruce Grove. Their menu is quite varied and the service is excellent. I often have the same server, Tanya, and she is both efficient and friendly. She usually acknowledges me with a smile and a hi before taking my order - makes me want to keep coming back. There are a lot of restaurants in Spruce Grove so someone like Tanya is a valuable asset.

Husband ordered the poutine. The skin-on Fries were green on the end, which is a toxin and can cause stomach issues in small amounts and the gravy was gross. So he sent it back and decided to not have anything else. Manager refused to take it off the bill and gave only a $065 discount. Definitely never going back.

Went here for a quick bite, ordered a pizza and a breakfast. Breakfast was pretty gross, the hasbrowns had a very strange after taste. The pizza was unfortunately uncooked, and still incredibly doughy on the inside and practically falling apart. None of the cheese or toppings stayed on the pizza itself. The waitress, while diligent and effective at her job, seemed to be very grumpy and rude, and didn t have great hospitality. It seemed like everything we asked for was an inconvenience, and she made an annoying face when we asked for an actually cooked pizza. When we ordered a pizza for the whole table, she only brought 1 plate. Not great.

The waitress was not pleasant at all. She would talk and laugh with other guests with us she would roll her eyes when we asked for separate checks . When cleaning empty tables she would use the same cloth to clean table and then wipe the seats then rewipe the table, which is very unsanitary. With this being our first time here it was very disappointing .

I learnt that the plant based burger is supposed to be served dry and that is the recipe. The Manager made it clear to us and refused to take the feedback. Very disappointed with the way we were treated. Go here if you don t mind being told this is what will be served eat it or leave it but pay for it Vegetarian options: Do not order any plant based burger just not worth it

Always wanted to try this restaurant. So took the family there for lunch today and I regret it soooo much!. The food was by far the worst food Ive ever eaten in an restaurant. Every single thing on my plate was sooo bland and no flavor I got the chicken tender and shrimp platter just horrible!. The gravy was flavorless and filled with chunks, the coleslaw not good. My wifes wise guy sandwich looked like a 4 year old put it together just sloppy and dont get me started on my sons burger! Literally the most flavorless burger is history of burgers not even salt and pepper in the patty. Then to top it off the sever brings the bill at the end and normally they leave the bill and walk away instead she yelled out total and put the bill down such bad practice. Save your time and money drive pass this place and dont eat there!.

Poor customer service. Our family group of 10 were looking for a place to have . We were greeted by the waitress in the front. There were empty tables available as we can see, therefore seating 10 shouldnt have been a problem. Unfortunately, that wasnt the case. If we were treated with more friendly customer service, we would have stayed. In this case, we walked out because the waitress was rude at contact so we took our money else where. Parking: None

The only thing that was good here was the tea and the service. The food wasnt good at all. The hashbrowns were under done and the eggs benedict sauce was served broken. The table was sticky, and the menus were gross. I dont think Ill be coming back.

The place was busy, which is not a bad thing. Lots of families enjoying their time at the restaurant. I went with my wife, we were seated at a booth. She had the turkey diner and I ordered the big breakfast meal. The eggs were cold and over cooked. The waffle was so cold it didnt even melt the whipped butter the put on it. If the food was hot, it would have been a great meal. Maybe serving on warmed plates might help? Was not happy with this experience at all. If the wait staff had been more attentive this could have been resolved quicker and I could have had a nice meal. But by the time she came around my wife had already nearly finished her entire meal. Maybe next time it might be better? If there is a nect time.

Went here to try a Famoso pizza since they moved in. Ordered a gluten free pizza to go. Opened the box to check it thankfully. First one I was given was 1/3 burnt to a crisp and I paid $26 for it. So asked them to remake it, which they did. Next one was not burnt but I asked them to cut it and they said they had. The slices were sort of cut but not fully cut through and they were all various sizes. The $26 pizza was not enough to feed too people. Way over priced for what you get, and it was silly I had to ask them to remake a burnt pizza they tried to send me away with.

Came here for the fomoso great food

Grilled cheese sandwich was done wrong. Who even ruins grilled cheese, right? This sandwich is supposed to be toasted with cheese on the outside and it was not. Have had this item before and it was great but fell very flat this time. Ordered the cheesecake and it came out 1/3 hot and mushy, 1/3 dried out, 1/3 frozen... waitress tried to dress it up with whipped cream but what a disappointment.

Love the chicken tenders, make sure you say cool them in the good grease not the fish grease lol got more so good

One of my favorite Rickys locations in the Edmonton and surrounding area. I enjoy having tasty food cooked to order, a clean and comfortable dining room, and great service from friendly waitstaff. On a recent visit Tanya provided excellent service and ensured my cup was filled with fresh hot coffee. Recent renovations will ensure that this location will be busier and better with the addition of Famoso Pizza.

Would prefer to give 0 stars if I could. Stopped in here for breakfast this morning. The waitress started off really unfriendly, not even greeting us or saying good morning back after I said good morning to her. Ordered our food and what arrived was pathetic. My Grand Forks breakfast was cold and the pancakes were stacked on top of everything so you couldnt eat anything underneath. I started to eat my eggs, which were cold. My wife ordered the 2x5 and asked for hot sauce. Waitress forgot about us and never brough the hot sauce. Another server came to refill our coffee, so we asked for an extra plate to put my pancakes on, and re-requested hot sauce. She returns with a plate smaller than the pancakes (so I still cant eat them - if I put syrup on it would be all over the table) and no hot sauce. After I move my pancakes over to the puny plate I see that they also forgot the sausages I was supposed to get (I thought it was supposed to be Chorizo, but what was actually missing was the standard breakfast sausages), and that the breakfast potatoes were missing the sauteed onions and peppers they were supposed to have (There was one micro cube of green pepper and one micro cube of red pepper). At this point I wanted to send everything back, so when our waitress returned we told her wed like to send out breakfasts back and simply have them removed as it was now cold, missing items and unenjoyable. I told her I would pay for the cold eggs I ate, and our sons waffle as that was fine. She then decided to argue with us and make excuse after excuse - which I found really unprofessional - so I asked for the manager. She tells us she is the manager. After grumbling some more she returns with the bill. She only removed my wifes meal (which we also sent back) and still charged me 50% for my meal where all I ate was the gross cold scrambled eggs. $10.50 for cold scrambled eggs. We begrudgingly paid the bill, and the waitress/manager then has the gall to ask us to come back again (probably realizing how unprofessional she handled things) - seriously!! We will NOT be back. Avoid this place at all costs if you are looking for a decent meal and service. Go down to the road SUNSET GRILL if you want a GOOD BREAKFAST and service!!! Note: This Rickys is now known as Rickys and Famoso, which is kind of strange, so the restaurant has a weird vibe inside of it now too....it used to be a decent place to come for breakfast with excellent service.

Tanya waited on us and was friendly and kept up with asking how the food was and refilling coffee. Food was good, tasted like most breakfast places. Nothing to complain about!

We stopped in for breakfast with 2 young boys. We were greeted with a toy and they have a little treasure chest that the kids have a choice of one toy there as well. Very kind and welcoming and wonderful to see. The food and service were great. We will return to this location again, thank you! Vegetarian options: There are options available here. I usually give a 5 star but... The breakfast bacon & eggs was just ok. The chunky potatoes were not that great for taste and were only warm not piping hot. The coffee was superb on the other hand. Cleanliness was not good. The windows have hand prints on them. The ledges have spilled, dried beverage on them and food crumbs laying about. And the menus were not overly clean. I wont recommend Rickys after this visit.

We always drop in for a bowl of clam chowder soup, when its the soup of the day. We think its excellent. You might too.

So, I ask for crispy sausages on my breakfast plate, my sausages were not. The globs of butter on my waffle did not melt, even a little, I scraped most of the butter off, it was cold. I know its breakfast/ not gourmet dinning but if what I get at a sit down restaurant is of lesser quality than a drive thru...I m a bit disappointed. Service was good.

Awful service, we asked before we sat down if they were busy as we were in a bit of a hurry and she said they weren t busy at all. We waited for ages before the waitress even came to our table and when she did we ordered our drinks and food and it took 20 minutes just to get a glass of water. The poutine was gross, our bill was $85 for 3 people. I will never return to this location.

Dined in. The French onion soup caught my eye. It didn t have the homemade bread as stated. Only croutons. What a disappointment. Did take photo but can t post it.

Went there may 16th for the wifes birthday dinner. Am from out of town didnt know they closed at 8pm we arrived 7:35 with our young children. Wish I could remember our waitress name. We were ok with leaving because of being close to closing, she welcomed us and reassured us that it was no problem. Food was great service was awesome they stayed open after closing didnt make us feel us feel rushed or anything. With being evacuated for almost 2 weeks because of fires it was a real nice pick me up. Thank you to the staff that night

I found three hairs in my food. When I told our waitress Jamie, she immediately got defensive. She said nobody in our kitchen has blonde hair despite the fact that the hairs were dark brown.. I said they look darker, like brunette she responded they look blonde to me . No apologies, just arguing. She walked away with the dish and came back 5 minutes later with the bill. My hairy dish was taken off, thanks. The service was lacking though. Again no apologies, no talking, just a have a good one as she walked away. I left hungry because my plate was almost full, I would have gladly taken a smaller dish if it was offered, but it wasn t. I would be in serious trouble if I argued with a customer about hair in their food. Is this the kind of server you want at a restaurant?

Shout out to our Server, Jamie! I have never experienced such an exceptional Server. Jamie is competent, organized and overall refreshing. Its hard to find people that are exceptional at what they do. Thank you for bringing your A game and giving my daughter and I a great start to our weekend.

Usually my husband and I love coming here and recieve wonderful service. We wanted to have a big table for a special occasion. I called to make a reservation and talked to Jamie she cut me off and told me I couldnt reserve today but to come and check in later and the host would call me when the table was ready. It would be an hour wait or so. So I went in 30 mins early to come check my table in so it was ready for my party or so that my guest wouldnt have to wait long. She was there and told me in a very condescending voice that she couldnt do that cause it was a reservation and that I could come back with my party and if I have to wait than we can all wait in the parking lot for up to an hour. I have a 1 year old so I was just hoping to work out the time. She spoke to me like I was stupid and trying to argue when I was just politely trying to understand what the best solution would be. We usually love the staff but when we go Jamie is always rude and in a bad mood. I took my party else where for the night

The ladies here are absolutely amazing! We came for a birthday and they stored the ice cream cake for us until after we ate, they provided a candle and did the whole singing thing and made it really fun. The food was really good, but the staff really are what made it wonderful.

I just had an incredible meal here! The chicken tenders and their famous original burger were phenomenal. Its evident that the food is incredibly fresh. The service was also excellent, further enhancing the overall experience. I definitely recommend visiting this restaurant, and Im eagerly looking forward to returning in the near future!

I have had better at other Rickys before. Had their fish and chips but had a hard time finding the fish. Had no problem finding the batter that was over the fish. Asked the server if they had any white vinegar and she said yes and that was the end if it. My wife left the table to go and search for some vinegar as it appeared that the server wasnt going to bother with it. I would.of understood if the restaurant was full but it was far from being full. How a person is served at any restaurant speaks big volumes. As there are so many restaurants out there, you would think that they would do what they could to make you come back again. Seemed to me as they must already have enough regular customers and dont need anyone else. I dont know if its the training these days or just a lack of respect for others. Whichever it is, sure doesnt make a person wanting to return. Good luck with the business though as we will not come back again.

Got there around 11:30 a.m. Only 2 servers on and a lovely young hostess who was very helpful and checked on our table frequently. Food came cold but our server was very helpful getting new stuff for the Grands.

My boyfriend and I hand an incredibly delicious lunch. I got the grilled cheese with a side of tomato soup and my boyfriend got the chicken sandwich with fries and gravy and it was delicious. We had an amazing server, Jamie, she was very attentive and super friendly! Also I could see that she gave that energy to every table she had. Definitely deserves a raise. I also still love the decor, very nostalgic. Overall a 5/5 time we had!

I had breakfast here last week. There were a lot of choices to make for the meal - how I wanted my eggs, what style of hashbrowns to have, what kind of toast. Its nice to have options like that. I got the definite sense that people come here regularly, the wait staff seemed to recognize people and made nice smalltalk. I was well attended to. The hashbrowns were a little undercooked, they seemed to have steamed instead of fried... It may be that some of the patrons prefer them that way, but I like them crisper.

Can t speak to the food because they seated us and never even came back to take a drink order. I guess I can t really rate the service because we never got that either. We got a kids menu that was already filled out and 20 minutes of peace and quiet because we were separated from everybody by a partition wall and nothing else not even an apology for ignoring us. I won t be back ever again I went a block away and got exceptional service elsewhere

Lovely little restaurant with a wonderful waitress/server (kim)who met and over exceeded expectations. The manager; Tanya is absolutely terrific and very personable! The food was cooked wonderfully and all around had a nice time here at Ricky s. Well worth coming for Any meal of the day!

Went there on Saturday the 1 2022. We are from out of town. Husband owed me a steak dinner. They apparently took it off the menu due to short supply. Meanwhile we live in Alberta. Very disappointed. It was a total disappointment. I could of had fish and chips in my small town. Plus steak.

Its lunch time

I ordered the lasagna and on the menu it says nothing about cheddar cheese on the lasagna. yet my lasagna arrived with cheddar cheese. who puts cheddar cheese on lasagna apparently Rickys does not impressed paid $32 for one lasagna and a deep dish apple crisp basically. not eating lasagna nice waste of money.

Went there today and were just disappointed.we got a unpleasant server who was only focused on the neighbors table.we didnt even get water but had to watch how the other table got spoiled. Food wasnt really what we expected.wanted to have a nice steak this doesnt even exist on the menue. Guess the grill stands for grilling buns. food is overprised.wont go there again.there are much better restaurants in the area with much better food and much nicer servers.

I gave them a 4 because the food was really good and the service was cordial and friendly. However, the service was slooow, even though it wasnt busy. My order was mixed up, but quickly corrected. The food was hot, tasty, and fresh.

Went for Mothers day brunch. Server was good. That is where good ended. We were advised of an hour wait for food. Fine it is Mothers.day more time to visit . Food arrived stone cold, bread was dried out and the butter wasnt melted. Pancakes were thin, like they had a bit of batter left in the bowl and added a bunch of water cause they couldnt be bothered to mix up more. Butter on top never melted. Any kitchen staff worth their salt should be ashamed to send that out. Food was comped... followed it up with A&W because the food was inedible

Edmonton on 170th st. is amazing, this location was mediocre at best. The pop had a perfume taste to it and was barely carbonated. The gravy tasted like flour and the sandwich just wasnt good. I like to highlight the good in places as so many have suffered in the last 2 yrs. This location however I cant endorse, it was a complete waste of money! The waitresses were kind though which is why this isnt a 1 star review. I would highly recommend the location in Edmonton on 170th st. The one in Spruce Grove is a complete disappointment though, keep driving and find another place to eat. I wasted almost $100 here with my family and none of our meals were good. None of us finished our food! We abandoned Browns Social House for the familiarity of Rickys and we all regretted it. I hope they do better in the future...

Used to make this our go to place for brunch on the odd Sunday. The last two times we arrived there we were told the kitchen was backed up and it would be over an hour wait for food ! The last time we noticed that the restaurant wasnt even half full . How can anyone run a food service business that way ? Doubt we will ever waste our time going back there. Its a shame because we enjoyed the food but who wants to sit around for over an hour to eat ?

My families favourite place to eat.. Will always recommend.. can sometimes get busy which unfortunately will bring down food quality from time to time but the staff is phenomenal

I travel extensively for work and and eat breakfasts at Ricky s locations where I work. This one in particular fell a little short on their breakfast. I ordered traditional eggs Benny with stuffed hash browns. The flavour was okay but there was something going with the Hollandaise sauce for the eggs. It was very lumpy. I order the same breakfast at other locations and they were consistent. I would probably come back for another chance, but I would say this location is not consistent compared to other Ricky s locations I visited. Staff was friendly and greeted very nice.

I love the food and the staff but seriously guys, what breakfast joint doesnt open til 8 am on a Saturday? Very disappointed.

The foods really good but the restaurant is poorly run. Most times when I order whether it be directly from them or through an app I have to wait an extra 20 to 30 minutes to get my order. When I sit in the service is great.

Very slow service. I ordered the Waffle big breakfast with eggs done over medium with the shredded potatos plain. Sausage was raw, eggs were rock hard and loaded potatos were loaded with sour cream and cheese. I told the waitress about my issues and she took my breakfast back to the kitchen and gave me $4 off my bill ($19 plate) and did not offer to remake the food. Disgusting. Lots of other options for breakfast, waste of money, had to go to McDonalds for breakfast.

Finally somewhere I can get a keto dish from the menu! Chaffles. Id like them cooked a little crisper.

Came here for dinner and was not happy with our meal. The fries didnt taste like they were made in house (frozen) the gravy was just as bad as KFCs had next to no taste. My burger looked good, sadly there was no taste the patty was bland and there was little to no sauce on it. Was not as good as I remembered. We were there for about an hour....that dry on the floor was there longer.....I wonder if its still there today.

There was 1 couple in the restraunt when we got there. Still had to wait 10-15 min to be seated.We were looking forward to getting monte cristos. They were very bland no taste. Wife had fries tasted like they were frozen fries. I had a poutine. It had 3 small pieces of cheese and alot of tasteless gravy. The whole point was going out for dinner for the daughters birthday. The food was so over priced and absolutely tasteless. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Also I will never be going back again.

Service was good. Food mediocre. I had chicken and shrimp platter. All good except coleslaw. Had some weird oily dressing. Couldnt eat it. My wife had pork schnitzel Neptune. Pork was over cooked and dry. Side was supposed to be Bavarian cabbage but not even close. Barely cooked cabbage with no flavor. A little disappointing.

I will never go there again me and my girlfriend went there I ordered fries my girlfriend breakfast my fries were cold I asked manager she took them back instead of cooking new ones she put them back in fryer and proceeded to tell me she put fresh ones in Ricks spruce grove has gone down hill not the first time but will be the last

Food wasnt as good as I originally hoped. The salad states mixed greens...however it was nothing but arugula.

Food was amazing, really wanted a brunch type meal and they had that. One waitress was run a bit ragged, but she did it with a smile. Will go back for sure:)

All the girls are very friendly and make sure all their guests have a great experience! Ive never had a bad breakfast here. Everything is always great. Especially the Triple B French Toast!

Still sitting here waiting after 45 min for my breakfast. Kids are done eating. Waitress hasn t even come to ask if we need more coffee. Maybe if they focussed more on customers in the store instead of skip the dishes I d be eating by now. Done with this place.

My wife and I went here for supper and we ordered the fish & chips as well. Couldnt eat it because the fish was uncooked. The manager was good enough not to charge us for what we ordered and couldnt eat. Hope they work on getting this dish better in the future.

Used to go here all the time with my dad, havent been back in years since he passed away. Now that Ive been back, I wont be back again. Server was new which was okay, but the way the food came out was horrible. The starter Caesar salads (at over $8 a piece) were the same size as the side salads, which you can upgrade to for a mere 99 cents. The kids food came out without sides, then the sides came about 10 minutes later, and they forgot about dessert (but by that point I just wanted to get out of there anyways). My sons Mac n cheese came out in a tiny little cup, meanwhile my daughters oodles of noodles was oversized for a child. I had the Philly cheesesteak, which came out to me on a very soggy bun. The only redeeming food here was the fries, they were great. Overall, I feel ripped off paying $102 for what we got, and I definitely wont be going back. Theres tons of better places to eat in Spruce Grove, and I suggest to anyone reading this that you go to them instead.

Went for my Daughters 10th birthday as she love this restaurant. the food came out bland and flavorless, 1) my wife got s regular mean and they brought here a small portion in a big bowl to make it look bigger then it was. 2) me and my youngest got the same meal (hers was a kids version) that together would have been a regular meal anywhere else. i had a side of brown glue they passed as gravy. supper lumpy and held to anything that it touched 3) my mothers food was under cooked for the majority of her meal except for the side which was over cooked 4) my dads meal we had to keep asking for the extras that were suppose to be part of the meal, and when he finally got it, it wasnt what he asked for 5) and the critical part of the night was my Oldest meal, took 15 minutes longer for her to get her food then everyone else meal and hers was the easiest to take care of looks like there might be issues with staffing because i was able to see both the kitchen and managers office and there was only a total of 3 people on last night. Quality has been going steadily down hill but this is the first time i can say i have been so disappointed with this location. I will not be back myself as this was the worst meal and menu i have seen in this location in 15 years

This location is NOT clean. We were there at 8:30 am and the floor hasnt been washed. The table was sticky. My eggs were bland. I spent 22 dollars for toast because that was all I ate. The server didnt seem to care that I didnt eat my breakfast. I will not be back.

Horrible service. Waitress barley said anything until it was time to pay. Was there this morning at 830 am. Floors were filthy, bathrooms were gross and the floors were sticky. Edges of the table were sticky!!! Left there feeling disappointed and disgusting!! Will not be returning. Especially with everything going on with covid you would think it would be spotles!!

Slower than most locations. Food is the same. Service is the best this here.

We just ordered from Skip The Dishes and it was one of the most disappointing meals weve had. I had the Baked broccoli and cheese soup that was $10 for basically 2 cups of melted cheese. And the 4 cheese piccolo loaf that was just a bit of cheese sprinkled over a barely warm barely garlic loaf. My husband had a chicken po boy that was mediocre at best and he upgraded to a poutine side for $3.59 that was one cup of uncooked over seasoned fries, cheese and gravy. This is not the first time weve been disappointed with this Rickys and we will not be going back.

Okay service but forgot my garlic bread

Dec 9th had horrible experience with management/ server. Got order wrong which was not issue!! When order came I tried to ask is this the California burger as it did not look like what I ordered, could not even get a work out as she snatched it from table and said I ll get them to redo it! Rude! Inconsiderate! Came back with the correct burger and said I got the head chef on it for you!! Embarrassing as we did not make a fuss nothing had to be REDOONE. It was the wrong burger!!! I tried to talk to her once bull was paid with a gracious 2$ off that I gladly gave back!! We left uncomfortable and shocked by the ignorance!

Went for our Anniversary dinner. Received a wonderful reception from Jaime. She was the perfect server. She took our order and brought us water without being asked. That to me is great service. No one ever brings water Jamie did, thank you. She brought the meal and remembered everything, right down to extra napkins. The meal was great and although Jamie tried very hard to convince us the pumpkin pie was great, we were too stuffed to have it. Great food, great service made for the perfect evening. Thank you Jaime and of course, the rest of the staff. We will be back and we will refer our family and friends.

Our go to is always so good. Hubby gets the Chorizo brekkie bowl and I get the traditional eggs benny.
