Restaurant was half full, we were seated right away, but sat for 15-20 mins, no one came to take drink orders, nothing. We ended up leaving without eating.

Chris provided excellent service. He was friendly and happy to help. Didn t have to ask for drink refills which is always a plus

Food was good but the service was terrible. Servers wouldnt clear our plates from the table. We had to stack them ourselves to make room. Wheelchair accessibility: Door button was not responsive but door threshold was easily managed.

The place had a great ambience while still maintaining a good price range for the food and a hospitable service. It s mostly meant for families who just want to enjoy a nice dine out for the day and likes the hustle and bustle of the place, while still having a relaxing atmosphere.

It was really busy and only one server was working, that being said our waiter was super nice and fast. The food was amazing and hot.

Ordered a chalet chicken noodle soup and take home. Dumped half of it down toilet it was terrible. Waste of money. Older overcooked chicken - Campbells would have been better. Can t see going back here ever again.

Second time here had a nice takeout meal which was quarter of chicken, ribs, baked potato, sour cream, butter, a bun and their sauce and coleslaw. Overall Very happy price was OK I have never liked their famous sauce, Just doesn t do justice to the meal. Will be back

The food was dry, and bland. The server was okay however tried to rush everyone through without hearing a word edge wise and when it came time to pay the bills wouldnt honour the ama discount stating they no longer give 10% off which is a flat out lie. Dont bother eating here if you like good quality food Wheelchair accessibility: They locked the only door that gave access with the wheel chair buttons during middle of dinner rush.

Usually once every 3 or 4 weeks my wife and i order take out, a family pack every time and have the chicken cut into 4. On Sunday we did this, I sat inside to wait after I ordered it. They usually say 20 minutes so I sit in the car and go back in and its usually sitting there waiting so I decided to wait inside this time. That way I would be there when it was ready. Anyways after already waiting 20 minutes they informed me that they had no longer had white meat, and if I wanted white meat it would be another 20 minutes. They offered me 6 pieces of thighs instead, had I known this when I ordered I would of gone elsewhere. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Good customer service, they should have informed me of the shortage when i ordered. Come on Swiss Chalet, you can do better .....

I had chicken and ribs combo, meat was superb but my wife ordered grilled chicken wrap with no tomato, two thirds down a massive slice of tomato but the servers were great about, apologised and offered to replace whole meal but we was not making them aware not really whinging about, the servers were great from start to finish, fries could have been better but overall great service from the servers

It was very good. My only recommendation is to have a sign at the front door saying that the Take Out door is on the side of the building. This would avoid having to go into the restaurant only to be rerouted.

I have tried to call this place to make a reservation numerous times. I even had the toll free number lady try to reach this place so that she could transfer me and she couldn t even get through. What are these people doing that they can t answer the phone? I called when it wouldn t be a rush either.

There was a little pressure to hurry and leave even though we arrived more than an hour before closing, but no one was rude or nasty about it. Otherwise the service was fine. :)

Totally mad at my order tonight. I eat here on a fairly regular basis. Chicken Sandwich Bun was burnt, spring rolls were (black is numerous spots) burnt. And my wings were well under cooked which is weird because the wings are always well cooked crunchy and good. Pretty much a waste of $80. I dont think I will be back. Just not impressed at all.

Had dinner on a Tuesday night here - it was extremely busy because of the 2 can dine deal and only 3 servers. Our Server Christopher handled the dinner rush well. We got our drinks, appetizer and meals all within 30 minuted and it tasted great. We also got to sing along with Christopher for a birthday party at the next table which my son enjoyed immensely

It s the dirtiest Swiss chalet we ve been too. Dirty napkins, straw, fries on the floor. We are visiting from from Calgary.. visited this place twice.. had the same experienced last year

Disappointing Experience at Swiss Chalet With the cost of living at an all-time high, treating my family to a special meal should be a delightful experience. Unfortunately, our recent Friday night dinner from Swiss Chalet was the biggest mistake Ive ever made. We usually love Swiss Chalet, but this time, it was a complete disaster. First off, the chicken was so dry and tough it was almost inedible. My wife, a former waitress who worked at Swiss Chalet, pointed out that the meat had likely been left in the warming drawer far too long before being served. This was unacceptable for a meal we were eagerly looking forward to. As if that wasn t bad enough, the ribs were another disappointment. It seemed like whoever prepped the meat used a dull butcher knife, resulting in multiple cuts at the same spot. This left us with small pieces of bone in almost every bite, making it a hazardous eating experience. Thankfully, none of us injured our mouths or choked on the bone fragments, but it was a close call. Spending nearly $100 for a meal for two adults and one child, I expected far better quality from a renowned brand like Swiss Chalet. This was an incredibly disappointing experience that I wouldnt wish on anyone. Given the recent closures of several Swiss Chalet locations, I cant help but wonder if this one is next. Swiss Chalet Spruce Grove is the place to go for great food and amazing service. From being greeted at the door by the friendly hostess Brooklyn to the excellent service we received . We had Anne as our server and she always goes above and beyond to make out dining experience memorable. Excellent food and service what more can a person ask for . I would highly recommend Spruce Grove Swiss Chalet as a great place to dine.

Ordered online said order was to be ready at 5:04 got there 5:03. Food was already in warmers upfront. It must have been there for a while cause it wasnt even warm. I had to get home so I couldnt get them to give me new one. Its a hit and miss for this place. Sometimes good sometimes horrible

Ribs were ice cold and dry with warm sauce on them, chicken was small and had broken bones, had been looking forward to Swiss chalet for a couple weeks and soooo disappointed that I refused to eat it or even have it replaced. My son ordered a Shirley temple, it was a poor immitation and my wife ordered a Canadian sangria that tasted days old. Sorry to see how far the chain has gone downhill. Will never step foot in one again

Food was amazing and overall atmosphere was great!

Pre-ordered a family pak for a quick Easter dinner - clearly the meal was for four people as they cut the whole chicken into four quarters and they provided four buns. I got to choose the four sides... mashed potatoes/gravy - we were given 1 cup of mashed potatoes and about two tablespoons of gravy. Salad - also about a cup of salad. Green beans - one cup. Mixed vegetables - the four of us got about two pieces of vegetable each. There was also a cup of SC sauce. There was enough chicken for each person - but the sides... MAYBE enough for two. Certainly not worth the $75 I paid.

Went to this restaurant with my agency, I called ahead and asked if they had room for about 30 people and the lady on the phone said yes. Got there and the assistant manager AJ was very rude and disrespectful towards me. He said there was a misunderstanding and they thought it was 13, but got tables ready. He then clarified if it was going to be all one check, when I said no he got mad and said that was a problem and that he only had two servers, and that our service would be affected. I asked if he wanted us to go somewhere else and rolling his eyes and being very rude said no he would make it work. Just to be clear there was a total of three other tables at the time,and one waitres was filming what I assumed was dancing tic toks on the other side that was marked closed. Took them over an hour to take our drink orders and get our drinks. Horrible display and interaction from the general manager. The GM as well as the waitress said how they need more heads up when so many people are coming in, I reminded them each time they said that that I did infact call them to make sure. We sat there for over 1.5 hours while every single table that came in after us were served and most already gone by the time we even got out food. The GM stated how he tried to contact me to cancel before we arrived but that was not true he was very rude and unprofessional.

Chicken stir fry was disappointing. It did not appear to contain rotisserie chicken. The chicken that was in there had a lot of bone pieces in it. Restaurant must have been short staffed as I observed that the floors under the tables in our section had a lot of food scraps on it.

It s been along time since I ve been here, and now I remember why. Long gone all the Covid cleaning practices, we had to ask to get our table washed, but it was still sticky around the edges. Honestly, Costco s rotisserie chicken is 10 times better, the fries were meh. The popcorn shrimp were so chewy, but flavour was ok. Our waitress was kind, so the tip we left was because of her.

since when did they start taking money first for ordering take out. always use to call the number and make my order and pick up and pay before taking it home. don t like giving out my card info thru the phone so probably be the last time ordering from here.

Decided to give this place a second chance after a raw chicken experience years prior, and was extremely disappointed. We had to wait 10 minutes before a host came to the front and greeted us. Then sat for 20 minutes waiting for drinks and someone to take our order. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere as we were so disappointed with the lack of service.

We seem to gravitate to Swiss Chalet in Spruce Grove as the staff are great, the food is good and affordable during these rising prices and we have always been served quickly.. Dining here, has always been a pleasant experience. Good job, ladies and gentlemen.

Yup, when I am craving a hot Turkey Sandwhich this is where I go. Its too much for me to cook a whole turkey being alone now. Though I usually get mashed potatoes, the fries are to die for. You can choose white or dark meat which is a bonus considering I like dark meat, its always still warm when u get home if your ordering take out. Great food, and excellent customer service. Those philipenoes are such friendly hard working people and a pleasure to be around. Not to mention I get a hot turkey sandwich for less than $25. I normally dont go to Swiss chalet as Im not a fan of the chicken and particularly the dipping sauce. A friend insisted we go for lunch to this location so I tried the roast beef sandwich. It was EXCELLENT. Everything a beef dip should be but rarely is. The bun was tender and fresh...the beef was well mixed with au juice which was spot on for flavor, not to salty...and the accompanying Cole slaw was excellent. I will definately go back.

TransAlta Retirees Assoc., 30 plus members made a reservation for lunch on Wed. were greeted by the manager to a room area all set up for us. The friendly, courteous service was exceptional and the food was great. Changes to the lunch items selected were encouraged to suit each palette. The space provided our group with a pleasant atmosphere to enjoy our lunch and comradery. Good parking and wheelchair accessibility added to the choice of this Swiss Chalet location

I was very disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. Our server was insistent on showing us the recipe and explaining how the dish was made even though the description of what was served did not match what was in the menu. Our server never checked to see if the food was okay after he dropped it off and his only response to our dish being way to oilly even though the menu didnt mention any oil or butter and described it as being baked was thats the recipe Ill show you. The manager wasnt much help either, we came tonight specifically for the kids eat free and we ended up paying for it because our meal was soggy. At least the apps we ordered werent completely horrible. Service and management on the other hand were very disappointing.

If you want a great meal at a reasonable go to price Swiss Chalet, the service is excellent and the food is awesome. Great prices, it is one of my favourite places to eat.

Had the chicken and ribs meal. Chicken, as usual, was tender and tasty. However, the ribs were something I would never order again. They tasted like wet dog. I couldnt eat them. Was disappointed. The service was great. Will always go back for the chicken.

Great food, excellent service

Pre ordered for delivery - they didnt follow the delivery time instructions, and showed up way to early and interupted something important. Food had to be left out and was cold by the time we could get too it. They advertise the pre order for delivery service heavily but cant even follow basic instructions. Food was soggy and cold by the time we got to eat because of it.

Ordered delivery at 5pm my order left the store according to the app. 40 min later it was still not at my house which is 11 min from the store. I called the customer service line and they transferred me to the store because my order was marked delivered at 5:55. The store did not even answer the phone. Luckily the driver showed up at 6:10. The food was cold. When you pay $30 or more for delivery I don t expect to need to recook it myself. I assume the driver was delivering other orders on the way given the length of time after he left the store. The driver was very kind though!

I would prefer not to give even 1 star for this location, the meal was gross and borderline cold. The wings were over cooked, glasses had a film of soap or something on them, fries were over cooked, fish was still frozen in center. The table beside us was complaining as well and the girl was telling them how everything was fresh daily. That was BS! Will not be back here to eat again. The waitress took orders from a couple of tables at the same time yet food never came out at same time. Poor food quality and poor service. Do not recommend this place if you are looking for a good meal.

Just moved back to Alberta from Vancouver Island so this was the first time I ve been a Swiss chalet for 4 years and WOW is the service at this location amazing!! Honestly I can t remember the last time I ve had such a great experience in a restaurant!

Glad to see the beef was back but, it was mostly grisly and fatty.

Food the last 3 visits is absolutely disgusting & the lack of cleanliness. the mens bathroom.. Sinks both dont work proper. The left side one is completely toast. No soap in the bathroom at all. Even the dining room isnt clean on the booth seats, crumbs and sauce or ketchup on the back of the seats. Instead of replacing the broken sink faucet they just let it dangle

Ordered a bowl of soup and received less than a cup. Called and was informed that was their biggest and it was my mistake. $7.50 for exactly 1 cup of soup. I would suggest going elsewhere. Also, the staff was ignorant. I don t typically leave poor reviews but this is ridiculous.

This place was great a few years back but not so much now. The chicken noodle soup was always great but now it should be called bowm of noodles as thats all it was! No chunks of chicken at all! Maybe a few strings of chicken It was a joke and complete rip off. Just like everything else today value for your hard earned money is a thing of the past .

Just went in tonight with my dad and we decide to have the roast beef dinner and it was so good the service at the table was excellent and fast been served with a smile and always asking if we need something else the two server that we have was marrychoo and hazel I compliment them and also told the manager kudo to all you guys good job

( my fault for not checking but I assumed it would all be there) Tried to call to let them know and no one answers the phone. Still can t get an answer. This is the second time now we have had a not great experience with take out.

Good Morning AJ We would like to Thank you and your wonderful staff for the amazing hosting of our Sunrise Village Christmas Supper. The food was excellent and the servers went out of their way to make the experience memorable. And the room was very cozy.

This is the second year we have had Swiss Chalet in Spruce Grove help us celebrate the holidays with all our colleagues at the Real Canadian Superstore here in Spruce. Both times we received outstanding service and product. A very big thanks to the team at Swiss Chalet...very much appreciate all the hard work you have put into making our holidays memorable. Always good when youre hungry for rotisserie chicken. Oct. 3rd 22 we stopped in for lunch. Yes, still a five star. And just as good on Dec. 14th 22. Food : 5/5
