Very disappointing to see TBH nosedive. We typically order pickup, as delivery services take up to 25% from the restaurant. Our last order was a mess. Instructions on items not wanted were ignored, Asian noodle dish had no sauce, and who sends out poutine without gravy?? New cook? New mgmt? Not sure, but Id use a delivery service. At least you can get credit for missing items. UPDATE: Of the last 5 orders, mistakes on ALL, including NO gravy for poutine?? THREE TIMES! Unless youre ordering in, DONT! NO quality control at all here at all. What used to be the best fries in town, are now a box of undercooked potato slop. Ok, that was harsh. Lets update again, shall we... I stopped in today for the first time in years to meet a friend. We each had an order of wings and home fries. Both were INCREDIBLE!! Glad youre back BH. See you again.

when i first started eating here the service was great. always with a smile and a hello. drinks were brought fast and as a friend of mine has special needs it was always taken care of. the food is great and as its not a franchise you can even talk to the owners! amazing. their menu is short but has all thw basics covered plus some neat addons. think pub foods but also stuff like meatloaf some pastas amd tacos. i have never has a bad experience then.

The Beer Hunter is an awesome spot to chill with friends! Were regulars here, drawn in by the cool decor and the welcoming staff. Plus, the food is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it for a fun hangout with friends.

Our server was very, vety good, keeping on top of our needs and offering great suggestions. Food quality and taste was superb and came out real fast. Went to watch the oilers and tvs are placed for excellent viewing from almost everywhere.

If I was only rating the smoked ribs and yam fries with a dill dip that I ordered, I would probably give 5 stars. Unfortunately, the other meal that was ordered was the exact opposite! It was the meatloaf with a loaded baked potato. The meatloaf was a small, dry, cold, and blackened block and the loaded baked potato was less than half the size of most baked potatoes and it was cold - not lukewarm - cold!! Because we ordered the meal for takeout we couldnt simply complain to the server to get the meal replaced. We only live about 3 minutes away, so the travel time had no affect on the temp of the food. Its too bad, as this was our first time ordering from the Beer Hunter and we were looking forward to finding another favorite place to enjoy!! Although the lady that served me was nice, I am giving three stars for service, as quality control falls under service!

Great spot to down a few drinks and feed your friends! The service was exceptional, literally everytime we wondered where she was, the waitress was right there. Food was timely and tasty, the ginger beef bowl had me craving another!

Telise was a great help. He personality was perfect for us, very friendly.

We had an amazing burger but the ginger beef bowl ended up being a bit burnt. Luckily our server took it back and removed it from the bill. I was very grateful for this excellent service. Definitely recommend for a good beer and burger type of place.

We went Monday night and the food was great! Our red headed server had some great recommendations and was very friendly! we pleasantly enjoyed our evening and of course the hubby loved the motorbike decor. Definitely will be coming back

Was there last night. Food took forever. The server told us finally after an hour and twenty minutes that the food would be three more minutes . There was no apology. No manager sent over. Just that it would be three more minutes . When she brought the meals out. The one meal was brought out wrong. And mine was room temp warm. Within hours I was throwing up the chicken quasadillia. I ll never go back here. Drinks are mediocre. Service is garbage . Food is garbage and gives you food poisoning. I d leave zero stars if I could.

I used to visit the Beer Hunter in Callingwood every Wednesday, eat the ghost pepper wings, slug some pints and read my book. Now I travel to SG for wings and instead of reading my book, I rack up high scores on the arcade machine. Service is always pleasant, plenty of televisions, wings are great because they aren t little piddly wings you often get from other pubs. Probably harvested from a small dinosaur to be honest. I always leave a cartoon for the waitress, usually about aliens or mothman. Hopefully they don t get taken by aliens and end up late for a shift. Overall my go-to place for dining out. 4 stars only because I can t walk down the block anymore and they don t have ghost pepper wings. Although the extra hot wings are just as good!

The server didnt bother to quality check after she dropped off the food so she wouldnt of known that I got the wrong food, and she left our drinks empty the whole time. Food took forever for a pretty empty restaurant and it didnt have much flavour. I would have told the server all of this if she just came to check on us even a single time. Waste of money

Ive never had a server tell me that I was wrong when I told them the food they gave me wasnt what I ordered. And then to stop coming back to the table after that and having to go and ask for the bill because it was at least half an hour since we saw them. I dont even understand them taking offense to my request for what I ordered? Absolutely bonkers experience to have at a place Ive been going to since it opened. I will 100% tell everyone to avoid going here from now on. And the Beer Hunter was my go-to place for wing Wednesday and Ive always asked people to meetup there. Last time I ever go.

I love this great little local place- consistently great food, great atmosphere and great service. Julie is my usual server and always so quick, knows you and your usual order, and makes you feel so welcome- she manages the whole place so well! I love popping in on a few night when you just don t want to cook. Great work and thanks for the wonderful service!

My girlfriend and I were driving back home after a drive out towards Jasper, and wanted to grab a late dinner somewhere, we did a quick search for Spruce Grove restaurants, looked at a few reviews for a few places, and decided on Beer Hunter. The menu was pretty large, and had a good variety of dishes on offer. There were, of course, drink specials, including $5 shots of Jamesons, in addition to their selection of Craft, Import and Domestic beers. I decided on Prairie Fairie, by Edmontons Sea Change Brewery, which Ive had several times previously. Its delicious, if you havent, consider trying it. I ordered a Canadian Hunter burger, which is topped with cheese, onion tanglers, bacon, back bacon, I requested it on texas toast and added caramelized onions, with donar poutine as a side, and it was one of the tastiest burgers Ive had in a while. My girlfriend had their mac and cheese, which I sampled. The noodles were al dente, the sauce was flavourful, creamy and perfect consistency, and the cheese topping was portioned very well. Presentation was on point. Our server/bartender was very friendly, attentive, personable and clearly very good at their job. The prices are very fair, considering the portion sizes, overall quality, and the level of service. Both the front and back of house here are doing a hell of a job. We will definitely be back.

Decided to finally stop in and give the beer hunter a try after hearing great reviews about their chicken wings. ( even from people who only tried them via delivery services. let s just say they were a soy delicious. hot flavourful juicy everything a chick wing should be. was still hungry so i decided to get a canadian hunter burger to go. ended up reheating 4 hours later. and even after. it was absolutely amazing. i ll make sure to stop again and get one that i didn t microwave and i m sure it will be even better. great job to the who ever created this superior masterpiece.

Sat at a table for fifteen minutes, waitress didnt even acknowledge or say she will be right with us. Even tried to catch there attention. Wasnt even busy inside the restaurant.

My husband and I went on the weekend for a few drinks. We noticed when we got the bill that we were charged for doubles when we never ordered doubles at any point. When we spoke to the bartender about it, she didn t really address the situation and stated we had to pay our tab as those were the drinks served, we also felt very uncomfortable with the persons in the bar with the waitress. Our bill was double what it was supposed to be, and we still had to pay. Unfortunate, as we enjoyed this place but we won t be back when we are being charged for drinks we didn t request, and didn t receive for that matter.

First time here and cant wait to go again. Friendliest service, huge menu with so many dishes I want to try. Daily Deals. Plenty of t.vs to watch the game. Shared pulled pork poutine. It was so delicous and plenty for our lunch, they dont skimp on anything. Even $2 off on Sunday!

Best burger Ive had in a long time

The meal was ok. My husband ordered fish and chips and the fish was soo small. I ordered a double vodka cran and it was $14 dollars. When I said it tasted a bit strange, our waitress said it was the cheaper vodka. So if it was cheaper stuff, I should have been charged less! Speaking of the waitress (the red head), she came by at least 5 times. A little too much for my liking. I was trying to enjoy a dinner out with my husband, but she kept interrupting. I dont mind being asked once if the food is okay. A bit over checking on us in my opinion.

Waitress was very unattentive, never asked if we wanted refill on our drinks. After getting the menus she waited at least 15 mins to come back for our orders. It was not busy it was 2:15 on a Thursday afternoon. 2 other tables in there with customers.

Ordered an appy came with wings deep fried pickels and mozzarella sticks. The wings were raw I was told there pre cooked from suppliers, and its just a blood vein from the owner or manager whatever she was dont care if I ever served my family or friends that I would be embarrassed. Waitress took food back two times then threw out wings and brought back the left over fried pickels. We didnt get to eat a third of the platter and paid for all of it.

Another Spruce Grove Sports bar. If Oilers are playing, then all 20 plus TVs are locked to that game only. If you want to watch any other games, best drive the extra 20 minutes to Edmonton sport bars Food

Megan (was a fox) was our waitress tonight and the girl deserves a full 5 stars. She made the night so fun and comfortable. Every establishment needs a Megan !

We tried The Beer Hunter out on a couple of occasions on the recommendation of some friends. Unfortunately we did not enjoy the food, it was bland and we had nothing but issues with the kitchen getting our orders correct. It also took a ridiculously long time for our food to come out. The only good thing was that the beer was cold. Unfortunately we cant recommend The Beer Hunter.

Great experience, amazing drinks, deep fried pickles were off the chain, cant wait to go back for another date night.

Went to Beer Hunter tonight and had an incredible experience. Ricky was our waitress and she went above and beyond. My dad is celiac and she ensured she would advocate for him to the kitchen. Food was great, atmosphere was chill and pool tables were well taken care of. Will be back if Ricky is there.

Honestly not much to say about this place, went there for dinner and ordered popcorn shrimp as an appetizer and a ginger beef bowl as my main. The shrimp werent anything special and the beef in the ginger beef bowl was breaded which it doesnt mention in the menu and was rather unappealing. Not to mention they went way overboard on the sauce and it was far too sweet. Pretty slim chance Id go back. Parking: No issues with parking, its a big lot. Mind you it wasnt busy when I went.

Food and service were excellent. My partner and I each got a burger and were extremely happy with them. I intend to make this a common spot to stop off at when returning from the city.

Very rude staff! Poor customer service.

We went with my sons hockey team and the service was atrocious. I asked the server 3 times to take my order as we had to leave before the lunch was set to be over, but she didnt bother and myself and 10, 6, and 4 year old were served 2 of the 4 meals ordered after more than 2 hours of sitting there. I was still charged for all the meals and was given the final 2 to go at the 2.5 hour mark. The server was rude when I asked for the 5th time about my food as well as when I paid.

Not too busy, clean atmosphere and service was pretty friendly and came by often to check. Food options were very good for pub grub if you have no restrictions. Some vegitarian options and only salad for vegans which gets the 3 stars.

Got there at 12:30 on a Sunday we had a group of 12 but had called the day before to reserve a bigger table and asked if kids were allowed they said yes to both questions well when we got there they were not busy but we stood at door for 5 min with no acknowledgment then had to make our own table up there was not one ready. Our server took at least 15min to see us she only asked half the table what they wanted for drinks after they got their coffees then she asked my half which had the children what drinks we wanted and by the way was when she finally brought menus but forgot the kids menus my husband had to get those. Then took her another 15 min to come back for our orders then we literally waited 1.5 hours for our food to come again it was not busy in there at all. As she brought them out 2 plates at a time my husband waiting another 15 until his came last, now I have been a server,bartender,and floor manager for 15yrs and have handled a restaurant all by myself much bigger than that. Not sure if our server was new or just incompetent but we had a terrible first time experience the food was ok but not worth the wait. Oh and we also arrived with another group of friends of 5 they chose to sit at another table as there was not enough room and they had another server and got and ate their food before ours hit our table. I will not recommend this place nor be back
