My wife and I drive 90min to eat here every couple months (they sadly closed the edmonton location) and it is always so good. Its far, but probably for the best; We might gain a few pounds if we lived across the street!

It seems like the Spruce Grove Cheesecake cafe is trying to be a high end restaurant and yet with poor quality recipes and service. My meal had different ingredients than listed on the menu as they decided to change it?? Also the meal my spouse had was very bland and caused him to have severe bloating and nausea. Our server seemed nice but basically completely ignored me when I wanted to order a drink and was apparently oblivious to my presence as she asked my spouse what he wanted to drink and then walked away without even looking at me or asking me. We won t return as the price is high and quality low.

Our whole table had great food! Tapas soup salads amazing even the kids were happy. But the service was absolutely horrible she was annoyed to take order bring food out and just sour. Manager came and cleared table but still never offered to take another drink order not the best experience.

The food was alright. I had the cheese broccoli soup with garlic bread which I enjoyed. The cheesecake was good...except for the mound of whipped cream which sadly was off tasting oil product. It wasnt really cool whip, it wasnt like any fake cream I had tasted before ... Just awful. Rather disappointing as I expected a full dairy cheesecake to be served with actual cream from a cow and not weird oil product. I should mention that they gave us some white chocolate raspberry scones for free as a starter, which were honestly really dry and not very buttery. Will note that here you pee at your peril if youre using the womens bathroom because the doors dont lock.

Ordered the bamboo bowl, said it would come with bbq pork, wantons and prawns. Pork was missing. Cheesecake was great.

Ok, we came here for the first time and got the steak sandwich, which was cooked perfectly. We got the burger, I love giant burgers so next time I will get a second patty for the burger. We had the chicken wontons and they were great. The beet salad was great and I am not a big salad eater. Will go again.

Food was okay but very pricey for what you get. The cheesecake though i would definitely go back for! Also their appys were good and the service was good aswell. 5 stars if it was only about the cheesecake Food

It was our first time coming here and I felt compelled to share my experience because I was incredibly taken aback by it. Out of all my travels across North America, this is one of them that sticks out and I wish it were for a positive reason, but its not. This place is a bistro/bar but also has a bakery section where you can just walk in and buy their baked goods. We were passing through Spruce Grove and I wanted to treat my mom to some cheesecake. When we walked in we headed to the bakery section and a lady came over to tell us shed be right back to ring us in. She never came back. Finally a guy shows up but decides to completely ignore us and help someone else who came in after us. Once he finally gets to us, he couldnt even crack a smile or say hello. He asked what we wanted, packaged up our stuff while chatting and joking with another customer. He silently rang us in, said the price, we paid, he didnt ask if I wanted the receipt so I asked for the receipt, he provided the debit transacfion receipt but not the actual receipt, so I had to ask again. It felt really uncomfortable like pulling teeth and like it was a hassle for me to ask for a receipt. Keep in mind we spent $50 on a few slices of cheesecake FFS, I take the receipt and say thank you, have a great day! He said nothing back. No smile, no eye contact, not a thing. We leave and head to the vehicle, I noticed he didnt listen to what we asked for because an item was missing, and sadly it was the one we wanted the most. This is a fairly large bar/bistro, it was mid-day, there was only 3-4 tables with customers, it was definitely not busy. I walk in, head to the bakery, the original girl is towards the back of the restaurant standing around, sees me but proceeds to ignore me across the way - she isnt doing much and is not serving her tables so I really dont know what her excuse was, this is the girl who first greeted us/said she would be back and didnt come back. The guy who I was dreading to see was towards the back as well, standing and not doing anything productive - not serving any customers/tables. He saw me standing there but proceeded to stand around and not come over. I stood there waiting to be served for about 7-10 minutes before the guy finally comes back over to the bakery to serve me. He looks at me with a blank face, I tell him that Im missing one of the items I asked for and let him know which one, he doesnt apologize or anything. He grabs the item, packages it, rings me in again, I pay and he does not say anything. I say thank you, have a great day - no response, zilch. Just like the first interaction. My mom was speechless and just as baffled as I was. We did nothing, we werent rude, we were friendly and polite both times, even when he messed up I remained polite and just asked for the item. I didnt complain about it. I left feeling disappointed, confused and a little sad over the experience considering we went there in a great mood and excited to try out this place. Ive worked in customer service for a good portion of my life. If I treated someone like that I wouldnt have a job, at least not for long. I truly feel businesses should really take a look at the Ritz Carlton and their customer experience model - I mean theres a reason why people pay thousands of dollars to stay there. Customers are literally the bread and butter of a business, why wouldnt you want to provide a great experience to ensure they return and/or tell their friends? Theres true power in how you treat each and every person. It comes down to a choice - are you choosing to treat them good or are you choosing to not care and/or treat them bad? You get back what you put out into the world. Wouldnt you want your business to thrive and grow? Thriving and growing equals more success and futher business opportunity. Its not rocket science, Im not asking for the world here. I know its highly unlikely this place will ever strive for better, but jeez loiuse does a smile or warm greeting come out of the guys paycheck?

I went here with my girlfriend, immediately noticed how sticky the front door was lol. I ordered a quesadilla $20. She ordered the fettuccine Alfredo $18 with chicken added for 6$, that came out very thin and burnt, which I would have gotten replaced had the waiter checked on us. The quesadillas was delicious tho it was only a 6 . The service was not ideal, we were dropped off drinks and our order was taken, then our food was dropped off and we never seen our waiter again, until we paid the bill which was about 10-15 mins after we finished eating and the hostess came to check on us as she could probably tell at this point I was ready to leave. Not sure if I would give this place another try but it won t be anytime soon. Vegetarian options: I did notice some vegetarian options on the menu Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly atmosphere

This place always nails it! From the food to the staff, never had a bad experience. Ive taken friends here for lunch dates, and have come here solo a few times. Always great food, the cheesecake is the best around, and the staff are always great.

We went in thinking it was similar to the Cheesecake Factory. It is SOOO much more than that! Their menu is vast and the cheesecakes... Oh My God! The cheesecakes were so amazing! We will definitely be going back!!

This was awful. I ordered fish & chips with coleslaw (extra charge). The coleslaw was terrible and I sent it back. The fish was a bit rubbery on one piece and the other piece was soggy, so I didn t eat it. Restaurant is dimly lit. Over priced and disappointing.

Sarah our waitress was sooo nice !! Our food was cooked perfect and very tasty. I only gave 3 on the atmosphere because the seats are in needed repair and theres not much of decorations in there . We got seated in a booth next to the sports area and had asked for a quiet spot but it really wasnt too bad at the time we were there and got a great waitress. I would go there again

My food was good, but the waitress smelled so bad of smoke. It made me want to throw up. Also they need to bring in whitr bread for sandwhichs.

Went for a birthday and everything was wonderful

So, we randomly ended up at this place and we were definitely glad we found it. We stopped for a quick dessert and had their Raspberry cheesecake and the spinach artichoke dip. The cheesecake was really good and not too sweet. It was a good size too, you could get filled up with just the cake alone. The Spinach Artichoke dip came with mini Naan breads that you could easily dip. It was so good that we had to ask for extra Naans to dip (and they were free too!) Overall, its a really great place to eat at and the staff is friendly.

Four of us came this evening to celebrate our friends birthday. The food was delicious. Two of us ordered the small plates and the birthday girl and our other friend shared a cheesecake. The service was good until after we paid our bill. The male server on Monday night basically ignored us after that. Didnt offer us more hot water for our tees or more water to drink. It was like we werent even there. We ended up leaving around 9:30 as they had already turned off most of the lights and the music while I was in the washroom. It was like they couldnt wait for us to leave

The 3 of us eating all had a great meal. The waitress was friendly, informative and fast. We took our cheesecakes home to eat as we were all full. Best club sandwich I have ever eaten in my 60 + years!

Well the food is usually OK, not amazing just ok. The service is really hit or miss depending on the staff working. Cheesecakes are good but pricey.

The food is delicious but the takeout orders seem to be very hit or miss. I adore the mushroom flatbread but once it was missing arugula and a second time it was missing the arugula and the chipotle sauce. I just added my comments when I ordered to ensure it was included on my order and the staff set aside both the sauce and the arugula when it s normally already on top. Seems very passive aggressive

First time going to this restaurant, Asher was our server. He was Great. Very attentive and professional. My husband got the burger- He enjoyed it. Asher helped me pick the honey mustard chicken -Amazing . He was very honest about each dish we had question on and even helped us pick the raspberry white chocolate cake to take home with us :) The reason I gave a 5/5 was because of Asher. Hes great at his job !!

My visit to Cheese Cake Cafe was decent overall. While enjoying a pasta dish on a date with my boyfriend, the service and food were satisfactory until I discovered hairs in my meal. It was quite off-putting, but upon informing the waitress, she promptly replaced the dish. Although the replacement was okay, the incident was still unsettling. Hence, Im giving it three stars.

I ordered 3 small plates: sweet potato fries, feta and naan bread, and roasted brussels sprouts. They all had the potential to be delicious but were exceptionally salty. My companion had the Thai salad which she seemed to enjoy. We decided to splurge on an Apple Crumble with ice cream to share. It was not a crisp, which we were expecting, but it did have a lot of apple in it. It was so sweet that it made our mouths pucker and we couldnt finish it. I think the cooks need to let the food speak more for itself and lighten up on the salt and sugar. I cant handle that much salt or sugar, so will probably not return.

We ve lived in Spruce Grove for 5 years now and have always noticed this place constantly has people heading in and out, so we finally decided to pop in for dinner tonight and wow!! absolutely amazing, this place has such a cozy vibe, bar on one end and a bakery on the other side wonderful atmosphere, and the food was delicious i tried the mushroom swiss burger from the staff picks menu and it was so tasty, we didn t leave room for desserts but we will definitely be back to try! the lunch options look phenomenal as well. wonderful little alberta based restaurant!!

We all had a great time last night. Its my first experience with this restaurant . I had the beef dip dinner . Excellent.! The meat was very tasty and tender . One small hint please you need a small bowl for the dip . Using the cup is awkward the sandwich is too big to dip in the sauce. But I managed. Excellent waitress and service. Delicious dessert too . Thanks again .

This was a very pleasant place to visit for an afternoon coffee with friends.

This is a great place to have lunch or dinner, the food is excellent, the service and staff are extremely good. The staff always make sure you are looked after. And there Cheese Cake is absolutely amazing. If you havent tried Cheese Cake Cafes cheese cake, you really need to stop in and try it.

Im not sure at what point cheesecake cafe started to cut back portions but when you order a slice of cake to go, you expect more than 3/4 bites for $11. Literally half of what they use to serve. Very disappointed. If this is their business plan, then ppl need to stop buying.

60$ for a beer, club house, poutine and a tip......

Let me start by saying we have been customers for many years. The past 2 years things haven t quite been on point. Hours waiting on food that is cold or not prepared properly. Today I decided I d order soup and sandwich combo. I d never had their soup and delivery soup options in our town before noon are very limited. I ordered the Broccoli cheese soup , omg clearly no one even tasted it before serving it! Nasty is an understatement! It was clumpy with flour, it had very little if any cream but what seemed to be a Roux chicken broth base with the smallest amount of broccoli and cheese so dried out it was chewy. No it wasn t carrots that was my first thought, it was old cheese dried out pre shredded. It was also sprinkled on the top didn t even melt . To be honest it seemed like something that was in a cooler somewhere for a week and warmed up. Absolutely an embarrassment. We won t be returning.

We only went for cheesecake since we already had lunch . Best carrot cake i ever had . We will go back for cheesecake and try there food next time .

Ive ordered from here a few times and it quickly became my new favourite spot. I usually get the fried chicken sandwich or the cheeseburger. Everything is delicious and made so much better than what you get from a fast food chain. Highly recommend!

We have loved the cheesecake cafe since we moved to Spruce Grove. Our go to dessert is the White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. We got it for Christmas as we had family visiting from out of province and it was awful. It was burnt under the icing and did not look or taste the same (like Perfume!?) as the one we are used to. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy our Christmas dessert. Hopefully this is just an off chance and they will be back to their quality in the future, but sad we didn t get to enjoy it this time.

This restaurant is one of our favourites!! Bobbi (the owner) and Phil (the manager) are always so welcoming and the Honey Mustard Chicken is one of the best meals I have ever had!! We also purchased their wife saver dish for Boxing Day breakfast and it was amazing!!! It s great that our little city has this treasure!!

Ok, one of the best restaurants at which Ive eaten. Took my kids on December 23, 2022. The manager seated us and after learning it was our first time there he gave us a brief rundown of where everything was a history of the place. I found it very interesting. After viewing the menu I already knew Id be back as there were so many items I wanted to try. Our server was attentive but not harassing. The food was fabulous. Steaks cooked properly, so unusual, and the homemade sauces were original and sooooo tasty. When we left the manager gave us a couple coupons since it was our first visit. Overall a great experience and I will be back again and again. Btw, just about the best old fashioned Ive ever had. Only drawback was that they were sold out of the dog biscuits we wanted to buy but such a small thing at this time of year. Cant wait to return!!!

One waitress, guy walking around, I think he was a waiter, but he had bluejeans on, not professional looking... Another guy with a hoodie on and baseball cap on with longer bushy hair sticking out... It was loud in there and kid doing backward flip in the restaurant.. This was my first and last time there.... Oh, and coffee wasnt warm either....

Our party of 8 wasn t able to get a table until 7 pm (on a Wednesday) and it took a while for the food to come out but I had the MRM ( mushroom chicken mushroom) and I was delicious as always. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the cheesecake we took home was very good. Always delivers a good meal.

Lobster clubhouse and london fog cheesecake were delicious. Blackberry vanilla soda was really nice with fresh mint. Service was good. Food was served promptly. Overall a really nice dining experience.

Very disappointing! The food was overpriced and not good. Lobster Mac and cheese was flavourless and had so many bread crumbs that it tasted like sand was in my food. The MCM chicken was bland and nothing special. All in all, we would not come back or recommend this place. Not busy and we can see why. Server was good though.

Ordered a cake for a birthday, a few days in advance. When I arrived to pick up at the time I said I would come for it, they did not have it ready, nor had record of my order. Thankfully the manager resolved this in about 10 minutes however it was supposed to have writing on the cake and they just kind of sloppily put it on a messy looking chocolate disk. Wasnt too happy with that as its an $80 cake and looked subpar.

everything about this place was great. We did not wait long for service. the selection was wide and tasted very good. I will definitely be going back the next time i am in the area.

Incredibly disappointed. We came here last week for dinner. Service was fine. Atmosphere was fine. Washrooms were clean. But the food was terrible. It was just plain bad. Even the little complimentary chocolate chip cookies they served were so bad. Just dry, like chalk. We ordered: - prawns fettucine alfredo - 6/10 at best. barely any prawns for the price. - marvelous mushrooms - 1/10. There was no flavor. I had to order sriracha to jazz it up. - brussel sprouts - 4/10. They just werent cooked. Id say it was 60% raw. This also also lacked seasoning. Sriracha helped. - peach raspberry cheesecake - 5/10. It was okay. Nothing special. Ive had grocery store cheesecake that is better. We ate it all because we paid, but the lord knows how much I didnt want to. If youre going to just enjoy a restaurant, go ahead. If youre going for food, skip it. Idk if they were having an off day, but I was so disappointed because I had high expectations.

Update: went back and the service was much better. More importantly, the food was amazing! Definitely worth it! First time there will be our last time there. We went for a late lunch (about 2pm so after any rush; they werent very busy) and when we asked to sit on the patio the hostess rolled her eyes at us. She did take us out there though and we chose a nice spot with some shade. We then waited there more than 15 minutes without any wait staff talking to us. We did see some staff cleaning another table, but no one addressed us. We decided to leave so walked back through the restaurant, returned the menus and left, without one person acknowledging us.

Enjoyed the food, will go again

We visited July 15, we were seated in the lounge. The wall beside the table had 2 dead flies stuck to it, and visibly the cracks and wall itself was full of sticky goop of some sort. The table was so sticky that my napkin with my fork on it would not slide on the table. There was a lot of crumbs and food left on the floor, underneath the table as well. It really made me question how clean the kitchen and dishes were. Its honestly disgusting and i wont be returning because of the cleanliness. The server was professional and did nothing wrong, and I am not laying blame on him. But honestly the way they clean - or dont - is absolutely pathetic.

After years away, we found ourselves in Edmonton for the weekend. We decided to eat at one of of favourite restaurants - Cheesecake Cafe. Its been about 20 years! The menu has changed, but they still have Turtle cheesecake I read a review from someone saying their cheesecake was dry. Obviously theyd never had proper baked cheesecake before! After our excellent mains (Asian bowl, Teriyaki bowl, and lettuce wraps), our cheesecake was every bit as good as wed remembered! Amazing! Service from Eva was great. She apologised for being slow, but it was totally fine from our perspective and not at all slow. If youre looking for the best cheesecake, alongside tasty mains and appetizers, and at a great price, this is the place. Five stars!

Can you tell me why you wanna punish Celiacs? I made a trip here (typing this at my table) just to have GF cheesecake. But upon reading the menu you use low fat cream cheese which, why? Weird. But the DEAL BREAKER was the SPLENDA. Why for the love of God are you using Splenda? A Celiac cant have wheat, barley or rye. Old fashioned sugar is gluten free just an FYI.

Customer service was amazing! I wanted to order out - I found out that one of their featured cheesecakes was going to be out of rotation on a certain day and asked about ordering individual pieces. I had two set aside for me. The staff remembered my call and suggested I purchase more to freeze because it was that delicious! Absolutely amazing service!! Thank you!!

Portion to price wise you definitely cant go.wrong with being here. Youre definitely going to get the most bang for your buck.. Service, was more of a take and order with little engagement approach. Server Danny was very attentive to refills, polite etc. But lacked engagement with guests. Hostess was seen multiple times on phone scrolling on FB (GET OFF YOUR PHONE). Food delivery is where there is a lack of marks.. not sure if multiple orders were all placed at same time, but it took over 30 minutes for food to come out. Server said it should be out shortly at one point, (several minutes later it did show up). No Mgr follow up. Taste of food was OK...chicken fingers were nice, hand breaded and homemade honey mustard sauce was enjoyable..fries were Luke warm and some had different consistency/texture then others and skme were extremely salty (eyes watering). Wife said the same thing..Brussel sprouts were meh..Chips decent. Teriyaki bowl was very bright and colorful and again large portion. Bakery was beautiful and person behind counter was extremely friendly.

The food is really good but the portions of food leaves a normal person hungry after eating and for the price it s ridiculous. I don t mind paying a higher price for a meal but when you have to go for food elsewhere right after eating there, it s not very good! And you shouldn t have to be forced to have dessert to be full!

Well worth the drive This is the only restaurant that start looking at the dessert menu right after placing my food order I probably look like It s my first time at the cheesecakes I usually leave with a few bags of cookies and a few slices of cheesecake lol

Cheesecake, just like I remember.

Havent been here in many years. The old restaurant in Edmonton had better atmosphere. This place is too plain, industrial... but food was really good.

Had the bamboo Asian bowl. Gross. Wanted to try the cheesecake but didn t bother.

This place continues to be a valued spot to eat! We have never had a bad meal or service. Best Cheesecake around! PS: try their ice cream!

The food was so yummy I had the BBQ Asian Bowl, a young girl needed to exchange her noodles and they were great thank you so much for making our night.

Personal preference here, there should never be more of a choice between if you want baked or chilled cheesecake. I personally cannot stand the texture of baked cheesecake, but that is all that they offer :/ it also took awhile for my party to get served last i was there, I dont blame them it was busy and there was seven of us, but it was kind of iffy on that part. Kid-friendliness: Could just be my memory, but the child menu wasnt really plentiful. i think there was like three dishes? but that could just be how i am recalling it.

So dissapointed in my dinner. The alfredo prawns pasta was so overcooked and it was very tasteless. The chicken strips only came with ketchup and sweet and spur sauce instead of the honey mustard like the menu stated. The chicken was nice and juicy but also tasteless. When i told the server he just said okay. And took it off the bill. Wont be seeing me here again. They use to be so great!

Been there first time as a soccer parents with team.Server explained the menu very well.Their free complimentary cakes are unbelievable.we enjoyed it. Very limited vegetarian options but it s all good.

I stopped by this evening to order a cheesecake for my sons birthday and picked up 5 pop tarts as a fun desert tonight. When I opened the box there were only 4 in there. So I called and the staff went over and above and one of the managers delivered the missing one to us himself! Amazing service and the we all loved the pop tarts!! Thanks so much!

Had the big bamboo Asian bowl. It was my understanding as pre to the menu that it was supposed to have pork, shrimp and chicken wontons. It did not contain anything of this and instead was a bowl of vegetables, noodles and the chicken broth. It was still good. Just a bit disappointed. The staff was over friendly but felt rather rushed. Please correct me if Im wrong about the dish.

Family owned restaurants with many different options for gluten free. The waitress was helpful and searched for options for me.

I have nothing but good words!! From the moment we walked in to leaving, an excellent experience. I came in shivering cause it was cold and I spent the day out ice fishing, waiter asked me if I d like a blanket?? Was so taken back, such a kind gesture. He did forget to ring in our starters but when we brought it up, he apologized and rang them in right away. Also gave us a free piece of dessert! Food was excellent and the service was amazing. 10/10. Kid-friendliness: Has a baby bowl option, free of charge. Mashed potorates and gravy.

Great food. Great service. The lime honey salad dressing was so delicious. The wings were terrific. Stuffed mushroom.....cmon...so good. Onion soup has so much cheese I had to stop myself from ordering a second soup! We will be back for sure! Brande (Brandy with an e) was very nice to offer us one of their signature deserts as a welcome to Spruce Group. See you soon!!

I have always had excellent service and great food here! But this last time when our skip order came with an error they went above and beyond to make up for the mistake. I am incredibly grateful for the wonderful service Ive never seen elsewhere.
