Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese food
Got a take out order and it was awful. Food had no taste at all. Small portions. And prices are higher then our normal go to place. Won’t be coming back.
Got take out, dish was 1/4 full, never seen portions this small ever. Was supposed to feed my wife and myself and didn’t even feed just 1 person. Chicken Soup better (portion wise)
Used to be one of my fav spots for vermicelli :( got takeout and my portion was so small. Usually the noodles are piled high and there is lots of veggies included, not just lettuce/carrots. Missing the cucumber too which is one of my fav parts.
We went in for lunch and ordered won ton soup to start, my sister had ginger beef on coconut rice. The portion size was large, and the flavor was on point. I ordered the lemongrass beef on steamed rice. The dish wasn't as spicy as I would have hoped, but it was still quite flavorful.
This is my go to place in Spruce Grove for Vietnamese food. We ordered the lunch special, which comes with a bowl of wonton soup. The food is consistently good and the service is top-notch.
Amazing salad rolls! I'm addicted to salad rolls and these are the best in town. You can always tell when a restaurant pre-makes their rolls and refrigerates them and they become hard on the outside. Red Chili Leafs taste freshly made 100% of the time. The only thing I've noticed which isn't awesome is you know have to request sprouts/Leafs with your pho now, whereas before, it would automatically come with it.
Came here for take out. There was hair in my food! Deep fried into my spring roll! 🤢🤮 Let's say if there was no hair. The portion sizes is so small, never coming here again.
I love this Vietnamese restaurant! Everything is made to perfection! I got the steak pho and my husband got the chicken vermicelli noodle bowl. The broth is really good and has a hint of sweetness to it. The vermicelli bowl is probably the best one I've ever had and the green onion cake is so good I crave them at least 2 times a week lol. Definitely recommend!
Ordered a Chicken stir fry should mention it doesnt include rice. Less than a quarter of the dish included meat. Not worth it for the money especially with no rice! Also got an order of chicken vermicelli. Portion size was for a child. Recommend Phoever Noodles and Grill in Edmonton instead. They dont mess around.
1st experience with Vietnamese food, vermancelli bowl was really good and super healthy. Definitely recommend
great selection, food is always fresh & delicious
Curry dish and pan is like empty and cold. $20 not worth the amount of food you get.
First time visit Food.was very flavorful BTW.onion cakes were very good. Had 2.other dishes and the tasted great also I will go back and try some other dishes
Very good soup , great service , clean place , awesome spring rolls
Wife and I both had pad Thai takeout. It was in the standard square take out box. Was maybe half full. And had maybe half of the flavour it should have. The tastiest thing in the dish was the sweet chilli sauce from a bottle. Our regular place was closed on Tuesday, will not forget this in the future
This place has the best spring rolls I ve ever tasted.
This place is great. 10 out of 10 highly recommend.
This place is the hidden gem of spruce grove!! Everything from here is delicious. It is made with fresh ingredients and they are always striving to make it better. When we left the restaurant, my husband was already planning what he is going to try next!! The service is great, and the owners are so friendly!! Kid-friendliness: Both our children love the beef noodle soup (pho)
Fresh food
This place is interesting and not in a good way. Wasnt busy at all. I thought Id give them a try again as the last time was years ago and not the best. I shouldve known... I order the spicy pad thai with chicken and shrimp. This dish was more chow mein like. They were not the flat rice noodles that I like. The flavor was mild. No fish sauce no tamarind paste. And missing alot of elements, compared to other restaurants. Unfortunately they werent open this Tuesday lol. Their spicy came from a dollop of sweet chili sauce with peanuts on top. So odd... All I can say is Ill wait till Wednesdays!
Nothing wrong with this place, the staff are friendly and the service was great, the food just wasn t what I expected. The portions were on the smaller side for the price as compared to other similar restaurants. The type of noodles used for soup and noodle dishes were different from typical Vietnamese noodles and the quantity was less than what I m used to seeing in pho dishes. The same goes for the amount of chicken in the pho and the vegetables, which basically consisted of a small amount of shredded cabbage and some corn. It was tasty though and the pork spring rolls were delicious.
Excellent food. Amazing staff who go above and beyond.
This was one of our go to Vietnamese restaurants but the last time we were there, the portions were smaller, especially the meat. We ordered the loaded up vermicelli bowls. Service was a bit slow but I think she was the only server on for the whole restaurant. Tea was hot and good. Seems like another case of shrinkflation where the portions are smaller and the prices are the same or higher. Maybe it was just a bad day. Will try again.
Wonderful restaurant. I have been coming to this resturant for years and have always enjoyed myself. My favorites are definitely the soups. The pho and coconut chicken soup are my absolute favorites. The workers are friendly and good at what they do. I recommend this place as much as I can. Vegetarian options: Nearly everything is able to have the meat taken out without charge. Loads of vegetarian options
We used to eat here quite often and we have never had a complaint about the food. Today all of the meat was tough, we couldnt even bite into it. I called to tell them and they didnt seem to care. They just lost our business, we will not we back.
Great tasty food and superb service!
Nothing was hot and not much flavour .nearly 80.00 for 2 people didn t take the leftovers ..didn t want them so disappointed
One of my favourite places for a bowl of soup.
Really fresh ingredients, good quality meat, all made and served by a hard working staff. Best Vietnamese place in Spruce Grove
My favourite local restaurant!! My family and I have been ordering from here for years, and the staff is always kind and friendly! The food is always amazing and fresh. We have tried an array of items from their menu. However, my favourites are the salad rolls, coconut rice, and war wonton soup!
A very cozy place , Relaxing and friendly server Food
You like Wonton soup or Wor Wonton soup or any kind of spicy Asian food this is the spot to go in Spruce, Ive never tasted any soup better then theirs. I used to go there for lunch and get 3 orders for myself and take it for lunch throughout the week...... fantastic place to eat!
We ordered the spicy chicken coconut soup and pad thia. The Soup had no flavor and was very runny for coconut soup, it was like having slightly favored water. The chicken in the soup tasted like rubber again, no flavor. The Pad Thia came with vermicelli noodles again, the same as the soup there was no flavor besides oil and a little smoke from the wok. This was our second time trying this place and we arent coming back for third.
Husband ordered take out pho, we were not given any sprouts or herbs, and very little meat. Only thing good was the broth and noodles which was a small amount as well.
We ordered 4 dishes for 2. We had no leftovers, which says something about the lack of food. We had to wait for the food, which was fine. But it was cold. Dishes were not even 1/2 full. Not great tasting. Ginger beef was mushy. No chicken in the curry chicken. Very pricy for what you get.
Our food had no flavor, watered down soup. Theres better in town. Wont be back.
Loved the food it was fresh and had flavour and the staff were great
Pho use to be really good. Now it s bland and they don t even provide basil, beansprouts, or lime for it. It s disappointing, if your looking for pho this is not the place
Such amazing vegan options! My favourite restaurant in spruce grove!!
Very good food and service is commendable, keep up the good work
Friendly staff Good costumer service Food
Absolutely delicious chicken vermicelli noodles! 11/10 recommend! Thank you!
Great place for Vietnamese fair.
Best restaurant in spruce grove
Deep fried shrimp was very good, hot, crispy on the outside and plump and juicy on the inside! Yum yum
Affordable and great food. Portion sizes were good and service was great.
My favorite for when my husband is out of town. Absolutely love the food! And the service is always fantastic! I may order from there so much they know who I am now lol.
Food was mediocre, service was terrible. Not a place that I would ever consider going to again unless I was starving and someone else was paying the bill.
My favorite vietnamese place. Everything I have tried is great. The dip for the vegetable tempura is the best. Vegetarian options: So many meatless dishes Dietary restrictions: If you cant eat dairy, vietnamese is the way to go Kid-friendliness: Great menu, I can always find something my kids will eat... even the picky one
Delicious and nice atmosphere
Huge rip off. The meat portions are pathetic. $20 for lettuce and noodles is a joke.
I have been to this Restaurant once to eat in and once for take-out. Both times I was very disappointed. The soup was tasteless and the take out was very small portions and flavorless. Even my husband who loves this food normally didnt care for it. We would not recommend it.
Over priced and not the friendly experience I was expecting.
3rd time I ve ordered take out for my family and the 3rd time I had to wait longer then the time given. If you tell a customer 30 min and they show up in 30 min the food should be ready. Not tell the customer it will be another 15-20. I won t be back. The service is horrible and they don t care about customers
Waited 15 minutes before menus were brought. Another 20 minutes before they took our order. When we ordered chicken in rice papers, they informed us they were too busy to make them. We had to roll them ourselves. Awful service. Lady was not friendly. 3 tables arrived after us, received their food before us and left before we received our food .
Great food! We loved that there were vegetarian protein options on the menu
Food is ok. Service was a bit slow.
Ordered a beef stir fry via Skip The Dishes. In our experience it usually comes with rice or noodles. This came with nothing other than the beef and sauce - for over $17! Very small portion too! Not worth it.
Placed an order for pickup. They said to come in 20 minutes, we were there in 30. Food wasn t ready. They didn t have the correct name for our order. Waited another 25 minutes and food finally came out. Staff were unfriendly and didn t apologize for the longer wait than expected.
Very disappointed this time. Waited a long time for service, several pick ups were served long after we were ready to order. Waited a long time for our appetizers which were served at the same time as our meals. Mentioned our concerns to the manager who just brushed us off. No attempt to right the wrong.
This is one of our favourite places to go in town! Yum!
Very good satay soup and the five colour vermicelli is delicious. Good tea and friendly staff too.
Disappointing... skimping on rice noodles and meat. Fish sauce seems watered down. Ive had better Vietnamese in Spruce Grove.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free on some items
Ordered online, supposed to be ready for pick up in 20 minutes. Showed up 25 minutes later and they didn t even start my order and had no idea what was going on or what I ordered when I gave my name. Showed them the confirmation email and they proceed to say oh yeah it s almost ready. I ordered steak pho, doesn t take long to make. Called them out on it and they offer ten percent off, slap to the face. Not how you get repeat customers, especially when you waste 15 minutes of a customers time. Brutal and unorganized, don t waste your time. There s lots of much better options for Vietnamese in Spruce Grove.
Good food, decent prices, and friendly staff
Super disappointed. Worst pho I have ever had. Zero taste. Not bone broth. No meat and little to no noodles. Rip off stay away
The food was delicious, I will be back. Great options for dietary restrictions.
Went there on a Sunday afternoon. Place was fairly empty. The employees were all sitting at the table eating their lunch and just stared at us when we came in. Eventually they came up to seat us. Once we ordered our food we waited about 10 minutes for our green onion cake. Another 10 for the ginger beef. We were wanting to try the pho as well but they forgot our order apparently. We asked after the ginger beef if the rest of our meal was coming and she said they were too busy eating their lunch that they forgot about ours. They apologized with excuses and made us pay full price for our meal. Ginger beef was a 1/10 pho was about a 5/10. Very small portions for the price.
So disappointed. Paid over 30 dollars for a Pho with extra veg and a side of springs rolls. There was basically nothing for meat in the soup and the rest of the portion size was small for this cost. Very little flavour. Would not order from here again. Will also be providing feedback to the restaurant directly.
Like to eat here
I will never order from here again. Picked up 3 vermicelli orders. The chicken was paper thin and one spring roll. The orders were in small rectangle boxes not your standard square box. This is absolutely embarrassing that I paid for these. I asked for hot sauce to they tried to charge 50cents per little ketchup style packets.I asked that they take them out.The three orders combined would be equivalent to one order from a place that wants returning customers.
I ordered a chicken noodle and 3 beef noodle, spring vegetable rolls today, and the spring vegetable rolls was pork. If you write chicken on the bag and put the beef soup in one chicken noodle, why do you write it as a chicken in the bag? One chicken noodle with two beef soup? There s only one sauce in one bag, and there s nothing else, so I have to review it. There are no people in the store, but I won t go next time. Its a waste of even one star
Hands down the worst Vietnamese food I have ever had! No flavour, little to no meat, meat and noodles were over cooked to oblivion. An absolute disappointment!
I had the Scallion ginger chicken dish. It was served on rice with wonton soup. Delicious food. Seriously amazing experience. Our server was very helpful and there was not a long wait time. The restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is calm. No loud music or TVs and comfortable seating. I will definitely be coming back.
Food was cool four color vermicelli not as flavorful as i prefer.
Expensive and the take-out portions were very small. First time trying it and there wont be a 2nd unfortunately.
First visit. Good food and good service. Will definitely returning.
Tried ordering for delivery umm ya got to order $40 before tax to get delivery 2021 means I dont support greed sorry.
Other than watching a guy come into the restaurant along with his two kids unmasked, and him coughing and sniffling, my experience was very good. I ordered the Lemongrass Satay Prawns in Coconut Cream Sauce and it was spectacular. I highly recommend dining here as the food and atmosphere are great!
Food is always great and the service is good.
The Won Ton soup was boring. The Lemongrass Chicken Satay was mostly peppers. The steamed rice was too sticky. Overall the prices are too high given the mediocre quality. I wouldnt order again.
ordered Shanghai noodles. there is no taste to it. I had to recook it and add my own spices and sauce when I got home. Id rather go to bings....
Food is okay some things are hit and miss. My one complaint is that while your eating and looking under the tables its not the cleanest of places. Kinda makes me worried about what the kitchen looks like. I hope the cleaning is spent more in the kitchen. The bathroom was really clean though so that is encouraging!
i was craving for salad rolls so i ordered one. drove half hr one way just to get it. paid 9$ for 4 rolls of disappointment. it only had vermicelli, lettuce and the shrimp. wheres the rest of the ingredients? not coming back. dont order here unless you want disappointment.
This restaurant has fabolus food. I have also found the level of service to be amazing. I highly recommend this great restaurant as a gem in the community.
Lemongrass satay prawns in coconut sauce was good. Green onion cake was good. Two color vermicelli was standard. The green papaya salad was disappointing; it didnt have much flavor.
Good
Very good food. Service is par with most Vietnamese restaurants. Have been several times and it is definitely one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in the area.
The best vietnamese food and one of our favorite restaurants. We love the spicy dishes like the vietnamese beef satay soup, chicken & cashew nut, celery and carrots or the spicy lemongrass chicken on vermicelli.
I have been here a half dozen times, and its my favorite Vietnamese place in the region. Everything is so fresh and flavorful.
Good food and service
Good location, nice place to go and great food
Good but slow
I love the seafood platter, staff is nice, I just wish that my order would be ready when they say to come and pick it up 3 out of 3 times I waited 20 minutes extra
The food was ready on time for pickup. Not my taste in food.
You should be embarrassed ! I feel like you took advantage of a take out situation and no possibility you would ever try this in a dine in situation. 4 color was such a disappointment, there was a total of 8 of the smallest slivers of meat. Shame on you!! I suggest going to ( Its Sushi) next door.
Honestly, don t always wanna be negative. But this was pretty bad. I had the pad Thai, and it was the worst version of it I ve ever had. No peanut sauce, they literally just dump sweet chilli sauce on top. No other flavour to speak of. And over $20..? If it was high quality, sure. But that was bad. Oh, and my takeout utensils was 1 chopstick. No, not a pair. 1 individual chopstick. Not going back. Hope they do other stuff better.
Service a little slow, but food was excellent and fresh. Not sweet not greasy and beautiful presentation.
I paid $17 dollars for a few chunks of curry chicken worth maybe $5 dollars . Definitely going elsewhere next time where I can get value for my money. Makes you feel like you re being robbed.
Service was dreadful and food below average
not overly impressed ordered the 4 color vermicelli and got like 4 pieces of chicken their meat proportions are extremely skimpy will not be back
Decent. Nothing special
What a joke $16 for this dish and there is maybe 1/4 of a chicken breast in it, their portions are garbage, $144 for $8 worth of food. Will not be back.
Very good soup!!!
Excellent service and even better soups!
We have only been here once before. Tonight we picked up carry out food. Excellent. Very tasty, fresh. Fast service. Friendly staff. We will be back
In my opinion best Vietnamese in town and area. Always very fresh and large portions. The owners and staff amazing , kind , generous people. Restaurant Always very clean. They bend over backwards to accommodate and please you. Treat you like family - love them
Awesome eats, its my favorite treat.
The food was okay and the service was mediocker.
Neat dishes and different than anywhere else.
Favorite local place. Best food.
My favorite place to eat! Best prawns in peach sauce in alberta..
The coffee is great and their food is very good, the servers are very friwndly
Ordered for pick up, they said it would be half an hour so I showed up 35 minutes after ordering. I then waited for 30 minutes in the restaurant without any remorse or anything. Wouldnt be too much of a huge deal if the food was worth it. But when we got home all the food was cold and the noodles in the soup were so rubbery they couldnt even be chewed. Terrible experience. Will not be coming back!! Lots of better choices in Spruce thats for sure!
Hands down, one of the BEST Vietnamese places I have ordered from. I am picky, has to be fresh, no greasy taste with the meat and they checked all those boxes.... I have eaten there 3 times in the last week...
Awesome food . Terrible customer service
Best Vietnamese in Spruce Grove. Every time we order the food is fresh, & delicious. The takeout we get tastes so good even after we get it home. Pork spring rolls are absolutely so good. Salad rolls are classic and always a hit. Vermicelli bowls are our go to. I also highly recommend the Beef Satay if you like spicy. Good price. Great value. Awesome taste. Our takeout didnt come with sauce for our spring rolls or any cutlery but you may need to ask! We had lots of dips at home
Best place in town hands down for Vietnamese in town! Never had a complaint! Fast service and great price for the amount of food u get!
Awesome Vietnamese food my wife and I get take out once every week or two from here. Never been disappointed
Good food , portions could be a bit larger. Will be going back
I had dined here previously on a few occasions and I was pleased with the food and service. I ordered take out about a year ago and when i got home and opened the containers i was suprised and disappointed by how SMALL the portions were. There were 3 people who ordered and it was all the same. I thought it was a one-off. Until this evening. I ordered for a pick up on my way home. We ordered 4 different dishes and not one of them had what would be considered a regular portion. I gave it a second go and will not be supporting Red Chilli Leaf any longer.
First time here. Had the beef satay soup and it was really good. It wasnt as rich and thick as most other Vietnamese places, it almost had a slight Thai flavour that I cant pinpoint but it was quite enjoyable. Would order it again. Veggie spring rolls were very tasty as well. Quick and friendly service. I would make my way to Spruce Grove to eat here.
Fantastic food, great service and a friendly atmosphere.
By far the best Vietnamese restaurant in Spruce Grove! Highly recommend!
Excellent food for the price, customer service wasnt the friendliest but courtious.
Had to wait awhile forthe food but well worth the wait
This is my favorite Vietnamese food place the soups are always amazing and they have gluten free options which Im so excited about because I dont have to miss out on the food.
Have been here a few times and the flavours always hit the spot. Good mix of Vietnamese and Thai foods. Service is always on point as well. Really the only disappointment is the beef soups lack variety (no tripe, no tendon, etc) and the portion sizes are a little light given the price.
The food was good as was the service
My son would probably eat here every day of his life if he could. The spicy thai chicken noodle soup in coconut milk has been his favourite since he was in preschool and he never gets tired of it. The staff here are always wonderful and the food is always fantastic.
Awesome food!
Good food but a little pricey
Very clean, excellent staff, and abiding with Covid spacing and safety equipment.
Clean establishment. Friendly Staff. LARGE Portions. Affordably Priced. It did seem to take a little bit longer to receive our orders, but the food was delicious, the portions were generous and the prices were affordable! Definitely worth checking out. Vietnamese Cuisine.
The ownership is fantastic! Food is always wonderful. Portions are plentiful. Great gluten free options. I m a customer, my wife is regular. We love the food and will continue to support this family run local business. Thanks again for the delicious meals.
Great noodle soups and spring rolls. Nice hot sauce to go with the soups and friendly staff.
This is a must to try! Never disappointed! Prices are awesome! Green tea is amazing! Gluten free options!
The food was very good, the staff friendly and this restaurant has a lot of regulars. The menu has lots of food choices, dishes r hot and filling. Lots of parking.
Good food, good service
Was pretty quick service for take out and we enjoyed the food. We had the green onion cake and spring rolls for an appetizer yum! Then we had the 3 color vermicelli bowl and the Shanghai noodle bowl. Really liked their fish sauce!
Best Wor Wonton soup in Spruce Grove.
Excellent! Love the mango salad and scallop coconut curry !!!
Good food, good service. Love their deep fried wontons, warwonton soup, a bunch of their chicken and pork dishes (the Spicey ones)
The food is great! Reasonable prices and the staff remembers you after one or two visits.
Very good Vietnamese food. Quick and friendly service.
Food is delicious and very fast for lunch.. Will be back!
RED, HOT, CHILI, PEPPER
Had the 3 colour vermicelli noodles , with a spring roll, and grilled chicken. Theres more in there, but I cant recall. It was with fresh vegetables, a lot of flavour. If i lived closer, it would probably be a regular spot of mine. Their Pho Noodles are great too.
Best vermachelli bowl I have ever had!! Great service reasonable price
Terrific Vietnamese restaurant. Always extremely quick and very friendly service. I like all the fresh veggies in their stir-fry dishes as well - nice and crisp. Very clean and family friendly as well. My 3 year old loves the green onion cakes.
The food is decent here, lower rating mostly for price vs. quantity. But overall a good place, food is usually yummy.
Really gross for me but very nice people
I love this restaurant! Everyone is nice and they remember me and my order! So delicious and filling!
Very friendly service and great food.
Delicious
Delicious Vietnamese food... Loved it... And great customer service... Highly recommended it
Kids really liked it too, bonus!
Wow 4 the price you get a lot of food !
Very good,
Great food!
Very good food.
Because Ive eaten at Xu Hui by Walmart and it is definitely five star
Did a take out order on our way home to Drayton Valley from Edmonton. Spent $75 on an order that I wish we had never gotten. Portion size was small and overpriced. My deep fried wonton was almost black and tasted like burnt oil. The meat (what little I could find) was absolutely tasteless. Hubby asked for all his dishes to be extra spicy and he got little containers of some sweet/spicy? sauce that wasnt spicy at all. His order tasted like it was burnt and everything was cooked in the same pan. I brought my wonton soup home to eat instead of eating it in the car and was so turned off from the burnt smell of the broth that I closed it up and put it in the fridge. I have yet to eat it and my husband wont even touch it. We usually go to Tasty Vietnamese but it was Tuesday and they are closed on Tuesdays. So disappointed with the Red Chili Leaf that we wont be returning. Wonder if the food would have been better in taste, texture and portion size if we had eaten in instead of ordering take out. Left a $6.00 tip on a TAKE OUT order and there wasnt even plastic cutlery, chop sticks ar napkins in the bags!!
Best Thai food ever!
Good food and pretty good prices. Nice sized portions. Lots of parking and the place is easy to find. If you are in Spruce Grove check them out.
Excellent local restaurant.
Great place to come and grab a bite to eat. Friendly staff, good service and food.
The meat portion on the beef pho could be better, otherwise its a good place for vietnamese.
Great food, friendly staff!
Amazing food, not the greatest place to eat in but as far as take out goes its the best.
Beef satay soup is fantastic and just a little spicy, not overwhelming at all. It has a great flavour. Spring rolls are absolutely delicious, we just finished 5 of them and I still want more. The beef brisket and steak pho (beef noodle soup) is superb and the meat is tender. Milder flavour and comes with noodles, hoisin and hot sauce mixture, and bean sprouts. Its great they separate it all so it stays nice and fresh for takeout. We also ordered the 4 colour vermicelli bowl and my wife and I loved it - tasty sauce, meats are delicious and tender, and its another favorite. Friendly young guy at the counter. Will be back.
Come here almost once a week. Great service and excellent pho
Decent food, but stingy portions. I ordered pickup, and brought the food home. Compared to other local places I go to, the cost is more... but the portions way smaller. That was the only real disappointment to be honest.
Love the food
I placed an order for PICK-UP. All was good until I paid and never tipped. The young lady placing my order was all of a sudden grumpy when there was no tip on the receipt. Also forgot chop sticks and an extra that I ordered. It was PICK-UP. Other than that when I do eat in, the service is fantastic and the food is even better
