Sakura Mart has quickly become my favourite shop in Squamish! The friendly service and excellent selection of imported Japanese products is a great addition to the town. It's definitely worth stopping by for a tasty snack, a unique drink, or just a smile and a chat with the owners!
What a gem in the middle of Squamish. I've gotten so many delicious onigiris for climbing day trips, and even snacks before dinner. There are great selections of Japanese (and Asian) snacks, ice cream, selected donburi and all with excellent quality ♥️🙌. The staff is always friendly and treats customers with respect and a smile. 100% my go-to place whenever our group visit Squamish.
The boss lady here is sooooo nice. I came here right at the opening time in hopes I could buy some onigris before I head out to climb. No onigris onsite but she recognized me and asked mw how many I wanted. I told her four and she made them right away. Onigris and her lunch menu are the best thing there! Also, her merch is also fire.
Has quickly become my favourite grab and go lunch spot in town, and it’s not even a restaurant. Great little Japanese grocer that also serves tasty donburi & other little treats to go. Absolutely lovely couple running it. Big win for Squamish!
Tiny packet of Japanese experience in Squamish 💯 they are now offering rice bowls and ice cream parfait too! Super delicious and the staff are very warm.
Great Japanese specialty grocery store with a diverse assortment of products. They also make onigiri rice ball snacks that are fresh and tasty. My wife and I had the tuna & mayo, salmon & mayo, bonito & plum and mentaiko, and we enjoyed them all very much. We also had their braised pork on rice for lunch. The braised pork was tender and flavourful. When we visit Squamish next, we'll definitely be returning back to Sakura Mart again.
Awesome new store! Sakura Mart makes me feel so nostalgic of my time in Japan and it has a lovely atmosphere and great owners. I bought some Japanese staples like Japanese curry, dashi, and even dango! I'm looking forward to them getting more produce and meat in the future.
Looking forward to seeing more items added to the shop! Wonderful Japanese grocery, so exciting! Will come for ingredients that are hard to find at other places. Prices were great as well, saves so much gas money to not go to T&T or Whistler :)
Wonderful owners , lots of great snacks for the whole family. G.F and vegan options
Love the products and customer service! Hope to see them expand in the future
Very good onigiri! Very polite as well and offered a good selection for the size of the store. Great to see a store like this in Squamish.
This place is just the best and makes Squamish one of the most adorable and magical places even more so
Lovely staff and very reasonable prices
Excellent grocery with lovely honest couple and good prices. They have lots and if you cant find something ask them.
Onigiri here is a must try! And the owner is always so kind :) my go-to spot for the best snacks!

Nice little store, they got a bunch of good snacks, food and drinks.
The most delicious hand-made onigiri! Lots of Japanese staples.
Theres an amazing selection of Japanese food and snacks. Especially the onigiri and fruit jelly drink which I love the most!
i love this place the owner is very polite and very kind and there s a lot unique foods and drinks i recommend coming here
There are many Japanese ingredients available, including onigiri rice balls wrapped in Japanese style. We have a lot of Japanese ingredients. Onigiri is also available in Japanese packaging.
We loved the cooked foods here, from the onigiri to cha-shu don. It is obvious that Masami-San cooks her food with so much love and care - I ve never had onigiri filling that was spread so equally so that you have filling with every bite. The rice is perfectly cooked and with the perfect sticky, but not gummy, texture, and the cha-shu is so soft snd flavourful. Sorry no photos - just ate everything really quickly, haha.
Such sweet owners, great selection of ingredients and fun Japanese snacks. The oniguri are 10/10, a must try!
Takehiro was very helpful and the food is amazing
Really nice store! Totally recommend!
Onigiris were so good.
Very friendly staff. Great onigiris. Love the mochi and unsweetened ice tea. Great addition to the community.
Love the fresh made Onigiri - its delicious!!!
Yummy onigiris. I also got the frozen takoyaki which you can airfry at home- it tastes so good! Friendly staff
The best Japanese grocery store in town. Small but has the things that you want!
It is a wonderful place to buy Japan groceries and learn Japanese recipes. The Onigiri they cooked is really delicious.

Truly needed little gem in Squamish! I look forward to getting my comfort food items here
Masami has stocked her new little shop with handpicked japanese cooking essentials! She was helpful and guided me through the items I was curious about and I went home with new ingredients that Im excited to try out thanks to her explanations about how to use them! Im going to have black sesame lattes, make mini mochi (Shiratama Dango) and got one of her types of furikake on offer. Thanks, Masami! Looking forward to being able to get produce here! She said hopefully later this spring.
Very nice people and great selection. Try the salmon rice balls!
