Found this small gem of a ramen shop—pork ramen so good I considered moving in, and the salmon sushi? Chef's kiss. Staff was attentive, making me feel like royalty. Left full, happy, and slightly questioning why I don’t eat here daily. 10/10 would slurp again.
So good we went back the next day for lunch. Totally fresh and light tasting sushi. We listened to our waitress who basically ordered for us . Everything was great tasting. Went back for lunch and had the soup. Again, really tasty.
2024 Eats: BC #8 (Japanese, Ramen); came here due to the rave reviews and seemingly solid prices. We ordered: shio paitan $16,5 + hoka nigiri (2), gyoza (5) $6,95, sushi mix, and a large sake. The good: the ramen was really, really good and redeemed the entire meal. Without the ramen, I think this place is 3 stars. I also think the prices are good/fair. The bad: the sushi and service leave a lot to be desired. I wouldn't recommend coming here for anything besides sushi and maybe drinks. The ugly: this place is tiny and it gets *loud*. It is quite chaotic and hot, and you should plan for things to come out sporadically. The "outdoor seating" is a tent in the parking lot in the back. If possible I reccommend sitting in the dining room apart from the sushi bar (or if it's not packed/loud at the sushi counter). I would happily come back but probably at lunch and only for the ramen.
We visited Shannon falls and wanted to grab a bite before heading back to Vancouver. Came Across this gem of a Japanese restaurant in Squamish. Food was authentic and so tasteful. Because they didn't have halal meats we opted to have vegan raman with a extra miso pasted($1) and it was so yummy. Kids enjoyed the tofu nuggets (3pcs $4.50) and ended up having 4 plates. Dynamite rolls (8pcs $6.95) was also good. Prices are good and the staff are very nice. Small but cozy place and highly recommend if you are in Squamish.
Food was decent. A little on the oily side for the ramen. It is a popular spot and hot food really hits the zone right. No kids set or menu but they do have some kids utensils so kids can share some food from an adult's plate . Props for using disposable chopsticks and converting them for kid friendly usage.
Very popular place. It was jammed packed at 6 pm Thursday. The ramen was delicious, broth was intense & noodle cooked perfectly. The small Don bowl was pretty good. The roll was not rolled tight enough, it started to fall apart when picked up with the chopsticks. Service was friendly & prompt. Excellent meal.
This restaurant seems to be packed whenever we walk by and now we understand why. We were seated quickly and the food came fast too. Everything we ordered was excellent! I got the vegan ramen- it was full of interesting textures and lots of flavor.
I was here a couple of weeks ago and loved here! They made me to come back to try more of their various menu! There are lots to explore means need to come back more!
First time here, being seated and all was okay (different waitress) but when we asked about ordering, the waitress gave me a super exasperated look. That was super unwarranted Ramen was average, like a noodle soup you could make at home, not worth queueing for sure, a far cry from Danbo Vancouver standards in terms of broth, price, noodle texture/quality, ingredients and service. Service is sure appalling and she asked us 3 times in our half an hour meal how is everything in a manner that wasn t at all genuine and rushed about everything, making it feel like a totally tense and rushed experience. Won t be back. If you ve tried any of the good Vancouver ramens, you will be disappointed here. Go for the Indian restaurants instead, they are good for Squamish.
The paitan shoyu ramen was amazing! Highly recommend! The asahikawa shoyu was ok, but nothing to write home about. The gyoza were flavorful, but I wish they had been a little more crispy. The seaweed salad was more of a western style salad (it has greens, and avocado in addition to the four types of seaweed) but we still very enjoyable with its ponzu dressing. Didnt try the sushi. I would def go back.
Love love love this restaurant! The service is amazing and the food is so delicious and fresh! Also the best Ramen! Must place to eat in Squamish
Food is good, but some of the servers are really unprofessional. There s a waitress who is always impatient and looking unhappy The first time I went there, I ordered extra corn but they gave me pork, and it took them a long time to give me what I wanted. The second time I was there, I was waiting for half an hour just because the waiter forgot to place my order. I asked him for how long I needed to wait but he didn t answer me, just asked me if I wanted to talk to the manager food is good though
We had the ramen, sashimi salad, karaage chicken, and scallops roll. And they were all very good.
Super friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend the ramen and hand roll!
Very good service. Quality products
One of the best ramen places in the Vancouver area, with great options for vegetarians. The sushi was decent but the spicy vegan ramen with an egg on top was excellent, filling and delectably flavorful.
Delicious!
Had the worst experience at this restaurant. This restaurant is so disorganized. Arrived at 115pm. We were told 20-30 minute wait, but waited almost 1 hour instead. Took 5 minutes to be added to the wait list because they were too busy to greet us at the door. Then got the notification at 1:59pm. Then finally seated at 210pm. The worse thing is that the table was ready at least 15 minutes before we were called (we were waiting inside the restaurant the entire time and saw the open table). But instead of leading us in, they decided to sit several tables ahead of us who have been waiting for less than 5 minutes, INCLUDING a table of 4 who JUST arrived (who wasn t even on the wait list) ahead of us. I don t mind waiting, but this is just completely ridiculous. The food tastes okay, nothing special. With the amount of time I waited, I should have just driven back to Vancouver for ramen instead. Would have been quicker. Won t ever be back. Not impressed.
Food was good but nothing was out of the ordinary. We tried the ramen and 3 different Maki rolls.
Best sushi in the Sea to Sky!
very tasty ramen, but the vibe from the staff was just weird. the woman who served us seemed very impatient, and didn t even bother to get all of our drink orders before walking away. i then received the wrong dish, and when i told them it was incorrect, i didn t receive my original dish i ordered. when i told the waitress, she said she would just cancel the order (so i never got the sushi i ordered .). my friend also requested extra noodles when we were ordering, and they never came. when we asked again for more noodles, they didn t come for about 20 minutes when we all had finished eating and his ramen was cold. the waitress didn t seem to notice or care about any of these things definitely not an ideal dining experience so maybe takeout is the better option.
The best sushi and Ramen in Squamish! amazing food, very friendly staff, great service, food is ready fast, outdoor covered seating with heaters. Highly recommend!! my favourite roll is the real crab California roll and salmon sashimi with real wasabi!!
very disappointed. The Ramens we order was not cooked or cold, maybe too busy. We sat at the patio area with the heater next to us, like burning. the tables are set so close to each other, like I can share the food with the table next to me. the washroom is very dirty and scary.
Beautiful food which we took as takeout and sat in the nearby park. Very friendly staff who were considerate of the wait time. Really recommend!!
Greta vegan food options and really awesome wait staff.
Stopped by here on our way Whistler and I was blown away by the freshness of the chirashi bowl. Rice was well seasoned and the fish was delicious and fresh.
Cozy atmosphere, friendly quick service and beautifully presented, high quality dishes.
Overall very good experience. Ramen was delicious. Small wait for a table of 4, weekday at 6pm. Definitely worth the wait.
Some of the best sushi Ive ever had. Very fresh, authentic, and excellent quality ingredients. Loved that the BC roll had greens in it. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan dishes marked on the menu!
Really good food! I got the ramen combo with the taka miso broth! A tad bit on the spicy side but super filling!
The food was sooooo good! Service was great and fast. We will come back for sure
Tasty sushi at a very respectable price. The quality of food is impeccable. Customer with a high noise level during our visit but that did not prevent us from appreciating the quality of the sushi
The servers were friendly and the food was very good. I will definitely come back again. Id like to try the ramen next time.
Fresh and delicious sushi! Gluten free options marked on the menu! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options are marked on the menu! Food : 5/5 |
When I heard that this place was hyped to have some of the best ramen (even better than Vancouver supposedly), I knew I had to make a stop. We ordered two ramen: tsukemen and shoyu. Both were solid choices and I would come back. Better than Vancouver? Maybe comparable to some of the more popular places, yet definitely not Japan level. Im wondering if they try to cater to tourists? Nonetheless, it wouldve been great to have slightly bigger char siu and the tsukemen should be served piping hot versus lukewarm as the noodles were already cold. There should also be some hot stock reserved on the side to lighten the broth, but thats OK. These are just minor things they could adjust to vastly improve the overall quality and care. Vancouver takes ramen seriously and so to compete, these elements should be considered but for Squamish, it is more than sufficient for the average local and visitor. Taste wise, everything was on point and it is indeed an authentic bowl of ramen. Sushi was also very fresh and tasty. Overall, Id like to give the other ramen options another try. Their sushi on the other hand, without hesitation I would come back for.
Disappointed. We had ramen and sushi and it wasn t good at all
Tasty .. tasty .. very nice ..
Terrible food and service. My Ramen was served 20 mins before my partner. My ramen had artificial noodles with bacon instead of pork strip! We had to ask for ginger and soy sauce for our sushi 3 times. The patio is part of the parking!
Best sushi in all of BC! Exceptional service, and amazing food, highly recommended!
The rich pork broth is something Ill be thinking of when I get back to the US! Quality unbeatable. Eel was good too!
I like it!! Pork and vegetables flavor
Busy place with plenty of servers to help you - which is a plus. They greet you, take your orders, fill your water/tea, and ask you how the food is. Get you stuff that you ask in a very prompt manner. The price is reasonable and the food is of good quality - EXCEPT the Ramen, which was the reason we chose to go here over many other places in Squamish. After seeing the excellent reviews on Google, my family and I were excited to dine here after spending two nights in Whistler. When the ramen came out and I had my first bite, I was very disappointed at the quality of the food. The noodle tasted like Mr. Noodle and the soup tasted like very waterly - I doubt that they use actual pork-broth Ramen soup recipe because it tasted like SHIN Ramen, really. You know what I mean? Like power seasoning thrown into the hot water type of taste? I would not categorize this place as a genuine Japanese Style Ramen Restaurant. Trust me, I have had many (I mean MANY) Japanese ramen in my life - especially throughout the Greater Vancouver area. I would pay $3 more and get a legitimate (and proper!) Japanese ramen anytime. Other than that, the washroom was a little funky because there was a room with 2 separate stalls and a sink. But, both men and women can go in there and do their business(?) - so basically sharing the toilet. I dont know about you, but I find it very unsettling and uncomfortable.
Best nigiri I ve had yet. Both the toro and bluefin tuna nigiri had great flavour, consistent texture, and nice shape. Maki was great too. Quality of the fish was fresh, though a couple of the individual rolls were lacking in the size of the cut of fish inside.
Fantastically good! Reasonable price, impeccable service and pretty decor.
Was on a roadtrip with my wife and dog from California, found out about this restaurant through a friend and we were excited to try this place out. Came 30 minutes early and parked in the back, ran into an Asian female employee who parked next to me and I asked if it was okay to park in the back and she stated yes but we don t open for another 30 minutes. I said okay, thank you. When the restaurant opened we walked towards the back entrance where we were told by the same asian female employee that you need to go around to the front and we don t allow pets. I said okay so I went around to the front to ask the hostess if it s okay we eat out back in the patio area with our dog who was in a stroller, she s 1 years old and enclosed to the stroller with no possibility of distraction to any other customers, she s a service animal in the United States and I understood Canada have a stricter requirement. The hostess stated we can have your dog in the back patio area but she would have to be next to the patio by the steps. I was surprised when she showed me where they allowed dogs to hangout while people ate because it didn t make any difference as it was pretty much 7ft from the table. It s outside and I have to have my service animal 7ft from the patio?? What difference will that make after going back inside the restaurant to tell my wife the same employee then approached me to state that I move my truck as it was taking up too much room.. her tone and attitude about every conversation to me was short and impolite. If you have an issue bring up the issues politely and couldn t you have asked me when you pulled into work and you saw me? You telling me my dog isn t allowed here but then the hostess stating that there s an area for my dog, very misinforming and unprofessional. Whatever you re going through in life or if your burnt out from work, I understand, life happens but please don t transfer your negative energy towards your customers who mostly are probably on vacation trying to have a good time. Wife and I were very surprised and never had this kind of treatment in Canada. Especially at a Japanese restaurant who usually carry themselves with higher work ethics and politeness.
Excellent sushi and excellent ramen. We will be back. Also confident in their accommodation for celiac with gluten free options. Food : 5/5
Great little place for ramen
The best Ramen Ive ever had
Amazing food, great service
Very nice experience
Super friendly service and excellent food at a reasonable price. The small chicken karaage don and the ramen were outstanding. Sushi rolls were very good. Definitely would recommend! Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible due to stairs and door sill.
Miso soup is way too pricy. Very small and doesn t have a lot of ingredients in it. Kimpura tastes good but again too small for the price. Mini Hokkai Don is worth the price. I am so glad they deep fried the head of the spot prawn! The sweet vinegar is not enough for the don rice though.
Had ramen and some sushi. Amazing. It was a bit of a wait for 4person table though (30min)
Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options. Had the vegan ramen, very tasty. Great edamame, gyoza and Inari Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian options, gluten free options, well labeled.
Without a doubt the best Japanese restaurant in Canada.
5 stars all around. Toro is amazing and all the sushi was super fresh. Got great help with the menu for takeout. Didnt get rushed even though a lineup was forming. Well done!
Great find in Squamish. Fresh fish for the sushi- quality scallops and tasty ramen. Nice staff. Busy but fast delivery. Kid-friendliness: Casual friendly space and staff.
Fast and efficient service with good tasting food. Portion is rather small but quality is pretty decent.
Delicious shoyu broth. Amazingly fresh sushi. Very busy but, the staff is up to the challenge.
Best sushi and at reasonable prices too!
Top notch food, crazy fast service, and great vibes!! Real crab rolls were great, so was the tuna and salmon sashimi. love this place.
We got to sit in the covered heated area in the back which was cozy and warm. The service was helpful and friendly while the food options were plentiful. I would recommend this place for ramen and sushi.
A slice of Japan in Squamish! The ramen is delicious- smoky rich broth and springy noodles, only wish the bowl is a little bigger but it was almost perfect. The sushi is also great but portions are a little small so you d have to order a few items
Had the vegan ramen and it was amazing! Authentic Japanese food
Delicious! Terrific Sushi and a great vibe. Friendly staff and prompt service, even with a packed restaurant.
Quote delicious. Really hits the spot after skiing. Menu was a little over whelming but the ramen was great.
Great, vibrant & casual sushi restaurant in the heart of Squamish downtown. It was a chilly day, so it was packed with people getting some good ramen. Even though the place was busy, kitchen was really fast, so all our food came out pretty quick. The sashimi was very fresh & good quality in my opinion, and the 2pc hako sushi add-on was great as well. Ramen was alright. However, I didnt think the miso-marinated black cod was it, as it was quite small for its price, and Ive had better in Vancouver. The server was quite busy, and she did the bare minimum, taking order, bringing food, getting paid. I would recommend this place if you are craving sushi in Squamish.
The Hamachi kama was very good!
The servers were very kind and patient I forgot to take a picture because I was too busy eating Loved it!! Food : 5/5
Food is amazing. The spicy miso pork ramen tasted had a bbq-life flavor. The small don poke with edamame was a good size and the fish is marinated deliciously. But if a hectic vibe on Friday nights
This restaurant is the best in Canada.
Their sushi and ramen are the best in Canada.
I really love this place. So warm, relaxing, atmosphere like at home. Highly recommend if you want to try Japanese sushi!! This is the best place in Canada.
With excellent variety in their constantly updated fresh sheet, and their delicious options for ramen, its my favorite Japanese restaurant in the lower mainland.
Straight fire
Vegetarian options: Amazing as always! Food
Came 30 min before closing and they let us take a seat inside. Ordered chicken karage, asahikawa and paitan shoyu ramen. Everything was delivered super fast so we finished eating just in time for close at 8:30. Karage had a couple dry bits but overall good flavour. Ramen was awesome, the noodles were perfectly chewy. The paitan tastes very similar to the asahikawa but has a bit creamier broth. So satisfying after a hiking day. Will come back when I come through Squamish again :)
Sushi was excellent, would recommend.
This place is amazing! My husband and I are Japanese food lovers and we can ATTEST, that you will not find better ramen than this one, even in Vancouver! Thank you Squamish for this hidden gem Vegetarian options: If you would like to have a high fibre meal, order the vegan ramen and add egg and pork. Absolutely amazing!!!
This has got to be the best Japanese place in town, maybe even in all of B.C. Their employees are very friendly and accommodating and food was superb, definitely a very authentic Japanese experience. Food
Excellent ramen. Spicy miso was phenomenal
We came here twice on our way to and from Whistler for skiing. The first time we got takeout and enjoyed every morsel of our sushi and Ramen. Then we had lunch on our way home and again had an awesome meal again at the sushi bar. The sushi is a wonderfully high-quality at a great price, the service is kind and fast with seating inside and at the sushi bar as well as outside with heaters. We highly recommend and hope you enjoy everything there. The Ramen is killer!
Really nice busy atmosphere with friendly efficient staff that novel things along if a little briskly! Pork ramen ok - different to how I ve had the dish elsewhere, it was under cooked thin slices (I ve usually had chunks of crispy pork belly so for me it was good/ok so average. Would go again.
Food was delicious, when we went it was very busy. We ordered take out, it was a bit chaotic in the dining area as we waited due to limited space.
I had the spicy pork and vegetables ramen and it was excellent!
Absolutely blown away by the nigiri, best Ive ever had! Sashimi was super fresh and had great variety, like bluefin tuna (favourite) and spanish mackerel.
I ordered the paitan shoyu and they made it spicy for me. Incredible flavour and depth. Super friendly and fast service and the only critique I have is that the noodles didn t wow me but can t exactly say why. Also excellent value : a whole egg was about 2 bucks, kaedama same, so refreshing not to be gouged.
Half spicy Ramen the way to go
A favourite restaurant in Squamish, hands-down the best sushi every time. Love the service, the atmosphere and the food.
Everything super delicious
When they gave me the bill, the tip was preset to 18%. No tip option. The server handed me the card machine with a final cost of 18 dollars when I ordered a 14 dollar ramen. If you hadnt done that I would have still given 15% anyways even though the food was not amazing. I worked in a restaurant for 3 years so I understand the importance of tipping. Entitlement to 18% tip and the server choosing is unbelievable if this restaurant operates normally like this. With expenses of food and living costs going up, increase the price of the dish not an automatic tip. The dollar value of tip automatically increases with the increase in dish prices. My focus of frustration is not at the 4 dollar increase of my bill, but having my tip decision taken away and selected by the restaurant staff.
They put a type of Mahlon everything- it s kind of gross
I have bought so many paitan shios here that i think it cost me a full semester of University tuition. I regret nothing and will continue to sink my life savings to sate my addiction. The food is so good it should be illegal.
Got a chirashi don and it s smaller in size, it s good for people have have small appetite. The rolls and cone were not shaped well, not really a good presentation. However, ingredients were fresh & hygienic & atmosphere were great. Five star service for sure. This is a place for gathering & hang out with family and friends.
Its the best restaurant, with a relaxing atmosphere and tastes that even Japanese people are happy with, and the staffs service is excellent! It was delicious!
Truly exceptional. Worth stopping for.
Amazing food and service. The sushi is out of this world
Kid-friendliness: They were so kid to our friends child. Have highchairs. Food
The most incredible food. Yuji and Maki are the previous owners of Sen Sushi and continue their dedication to excellence and incredible food with their new baby, Taka Ramen and Sushi. If you are a sushi and ramen connoisseur, you owe it to yourself and your taste buds to dine here.
Good quality of Sashimi
Sushi was ok/good, but more expensive than most places. Ive had better sushi for less money.
Best restaurant of all time
Very busy place but one of my most favorite Japanese restaurants in entire Metro Vancouver. Priced reasonably well and never got disappointed with their portion and quality. And they really always service with a smile. Tried their Ramen, Don, Sushi and Sashima, all top notch level!
Fabulous
Got Ramen cravings, but not Sushi (-1 star)? This will be your quick fix. Literally, the bowls came out once ordered, and u turned your head. Come a bit early to beat the lunch rush. They do want u in & out smiling to move the waits. Skip the sushi, mostly rice, thin slices of fish, great presentation but thin eye catchy, Whistlers sushi is better, thou not much varieties either, they cant match Seattles , were spoiled there. Oh and great little town to stroll around after your meal with street parking in front.
This is one of the best restaurants in Squamish. I highly recommend it.
The best.
A good spot to stop by travelling to/from Whistler, or even after hike in Squamish.
1. Extremely overpriced for what you get and overall: 2 soups + 2 sushi ~90CAD 2. The soup taste and quality - 1 out of 10 3. Sushi with raw fish was the best thing they made, while Ebi had an extremely thin topping with massive amount of rice 4. The staff also does not speak English 5. Almost impossible to order anything over the phone because of point 3
A little gem in Squamish. Wonderful food and excellent service. Everything tastes fresh and authentic.
The ingredients were very fresh and delicious. I ordered ramen after reading the reviews and ordered various assorted sashimi and I was very satisfied. There was a reason there were so many guests. I plan to visit again tomorrow.
Excellent food, great menu recommendations, and a heated patio!
Our go to when in Squamish. Quality food and delicious.
Sushi is soooo good! Fish was so fresh. Small place so would not recommend for a large group. I will try their ramen next time. Service also good.
Paitan ramen was rich and creamy. Bamboo shoots included was one of the best I ever had with ramen. The sushi variety here is as good as in the city and the amaebi sushi is recommended. Definitely one of my favourite ramen and sushi places.
Enjoyed our pork ramen. Great lunch stop.
Looks like a real Japanese restaurant and very delicious and good service. Spicy ramen is so spicy , equal to Korean noodle( )(forgot to take the photo of ramen)
We had a delish ramen dinner. We didnt have a reso, just popped in and sat at the sushi bar. They do seem to get busy on the weekend, but the food is ready quickly (so probably not a long wait). We had the clear and cloudy ramens. No substitutions, so we just pulled the meat out of one and put it in the other. There is a vegan option if you dont want pork broth. Good, hardy choices.
Great place to eat in the area. Friendly and informative staff. Got the Taka Miso Ramen. Got everything we wanted out of eating here. Would come again.
Best ramen
Amazing ramen and venue. Great to have such good ramen in the sea to sky.
Great place, sushi is amazing!
Best restaurant in Squamish.
After a long day outside exploring, I decided to give this place a try. Their spicy vegan ramen did not disappoint, it really hit the spot. The soup was flavored perfectly with a very unique blend of cooked and flavored veggies. If you re on the fence, I highly recommend you go for it. You can tell they carefully craft their food to be just right.
Wow this is the 2nd time we came to this great place, and was Simply amazed again for everything.. such great Staff, even busy we still received our food and drinks in good time.. diffently will always be back again, Thank you for the great time.!!!
Best sushi in town! Everything is very fresh and they have the perfect amount of variety so there is always something no matter what you are craving. Service is always fast and friendly despite how busy they get. The owners are there working hard everyday making sure the consistency and flavours are always on point, which is such a luxury in this town.
The restaurant was packed the whole time we were there, which makes sense because the food was so good! The food came out quickly and was very fresh. Our group of four shared edamame, two rolls, the 11 piece sashimi, and the assorted sushi and it was enough (no one in the group was starving). Definitely worth a visit!
Mid-week at 7 was surprisingly busy, hence a bit of a wait. Totally worth it tho for excellent ramen and well cooked karaage.
Best and only place to eat in downtown Squamish. Always amazing food and service. Outstanding.
Great spot for the Japanese noodle in Squamish, the server is very friendly and fast service, good location in downtown Squamish. Reasonable price.but the roll is in general quit small and the sushi rich was a bit too sour and dry this time but acceptable
My favourite Squamish restaurant. Great space, amazing food, excellent staff all around our go-to as locals. Thank you so much for making tasty ramen and delicious sushi.
Excellent menu and good food for filling up on. Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the sushi and ramen Food : 5/5 |
Super fresh and tasty fish. The fresh sockeye salmon was fantastic. Great service and atmosphere. Food : 5/5
Very good ramen and sushi. Waitress was very attentive and helpful.
Definitely the best sushi I ve had in Vancouver so far. I had a few rolls and everything was super fresh and tasty! My friends all ordered ramen and I tried theirs as well and it was just as good! Definitely stopping here when visiting Squamish next time! Vegetarian options: Vegan ramens and vegetarian sushi rolls available!
Amazing quality sushi- So delicious and great service !! A must in the area !!
best sushi in town
Favorite restaurant at Squamish. Food is greatest Japanese dish I ever had in Northwest region. Price is reasonable. BTW, they have rooms for improvement in service and size of the restaurant. So busy there. Definitely go back there again though. Love the dishes.
My partner and I found this spot while she was working in Squamish. We ate here almost every week during her three month work stint. I am Japanese, and this is the closest experience to ramen in my family s hometown. We re back in Vancouver now but still drive out on occasion because this is the best ramen in the Vancouver area.
The best ramen Ive eaten so far. There is real wasabi with the sashimi and the free water is chlorine-free, so not tap water. Nice service and as already mentioned, the food was very, very good Vegetarian options: There are good vegan and vegetarian options
Best ramen I had in a long time, amazing octopus balls and great sushi. Fresh fish, delicious flavors, and super good price for the quality. Absolutely loved it Food : 5/5
Absolutely worth a stop at Yaka Ramen & Sushi in Squamish. Incredible food, service, experience no matter where you are from or where you are going. This was some of the best Japanese we have ever had. Thank you!
First time here . I certainly will never return . The staff sneered at us and acted really rude . We were dressed in clean clothes . As soon as we sat down we felt we were not welcome there . They seemed very entitled. We got up and left as felt so uncomfortable. Service
This is the BEST Japanese food I ve had ever. Better than Vancouver, Toronto, Detroit. I ll be dreaming about the food I ve had here for the next few years. If you re visiting BC and want great authentic Japanese food, THIS is the place to go. Now I need to plan my next visit so I can come back. This was much better than waiting 2 hours in line in some famous spot in Vancouver. It s worth the trip!!!!
Beautiful sushi. Fresh and flavourful. Great service.
Probably the best place for ramen and sushi in Squamish! Great stop for lunch
Best Raman in Greater Vancouver area!! Sushi is not bad but i recommend to have ramen and beer here.
Their food is the best in Sea to Sky!!!
This is THE WORST restaurant Ive ever been. when we got there, no greeting or anything, there were 2 groups before us, the waitress took them, then a couple came after us, she took them first. When I told waitress that we were here before them, she said its OK, i can take you now. I cant remember who came first ..... Excuse you!!!?? ITS OK?????? Thats not the line for you to say!!!!!! Should be oh, im so sorry, I can take you now, didnt remember who came first.... !!!!!!!! My husband wanted to order ramen before we came in, but he was also really annoyed by it, so he only ordered karaage, which was OK but verrryyyy over priced, I ordered ramen, suuuuper salty!!!!! we left very unhappy with everything. Never going back there for sure!!!!!
Absolutely amazing food and service!!!
When we came in to order food, there were a lot of people. They asked us to wait for 20 minutes without even asking. It turned out that they were given to us for takeout. The noodles were similar to instant noodles. The soup tasted okay, but when we poured them into the noodles, they were not warm enough. It seemed Instant noodles soaked in warm water. Will not be returning.
Very authentic and extremely tasty food. We left after the recessions and were rewarded. Service was also very nice.
excellent, aesthetic, delicious, and well-served japanese food at reasonable prices. 10/10 atmosphere food and experience Vegetarian options: tons of delicious healthy / vegan options
Very authentic ramen! Excellent customer service as well!
The flavor of the Ramen was great. It was not watery like at other places Ive been to before and the pork was soft and not as fat and big as some other places. A little bit to salty, it could have 20% less salt for me but i dont use much salt in general.
Good lunch place in downtown Squamish! Food wise, I would rate ramen/sushi 3.5-4 stars and gyoza 5 stars. Our server was friendly, efficient, and very helpful.
So delicious
It was so delicious If there is no line, get in right away! I waited a little bit, but This place offers food worth the wait. Especially the ramen is really delicious. The raw fish is so fresh!!!
We had to wait a bit for a table. But it was worth it. A very cozy place, the ramen was extremely tasty and the staff was attentive and polite. I recommend!
I saw that this place had good reviews and decided to give it a try. Was not disappointed. The ramen and sushi was fantastic, very tasty and very filling. Our server did a great job with recommendations and was very attentive. Would love to come back when Im back in Squamish. Vegetarian options: The ramen was actually vegan, but added an egg to make it vegetarian. The broth was so good, and the noodles and accompanying veggies with delicious. Very filling.
Love this restaurant, try the Vegan Ramen, I like the spicy one the best, also lots of gluten free options Service has always been friendly and quick. The patio is in the back for afternoon and evening sun with no wind. Vegetarian options: Vegan ramen Dietary restrictions: Gluten free Gyoza
I wish this place was in Vancouver, but it will be a place we hit up every time we go to Squamish. We kept it pretty traditional and ordered all the fish nigiri-style off if the fresh sheet. So many unique fish we hadnt tried before. All tasty, all perfectly done, proper temp, proper size, proper seasoning in the rice. Loved it!
Quaint little spot in Squamish. The food was very delicious and staff were super friendly. Price was very reasonable too. Really enjoyed the experience. Recommend.
Amazing food, including perhaps the best ramen weve ever had, and Michelin-level service!...
Always great. Try the Tuna Poke roll.
Best fish, best sushis, best owners. We are so lucky to have you around the corner.
Sushi restaurants are everywhere but this ramen place serves the best quality sushi. I came all the way from Vancouver just to eat sushi and ramen.
Most authentic ramen in all of the lower mainland. Wonderful service, delicious ramen AND sushi, and accommodating for families with children. Closed on Mondays though, that s my biggest regret! Floors were a bit slippery but otherwise a 10/10 experience. The special assorted sashimi was out of the world - and they include REAL fresh grated wasabi, not the powdered fake stuff.
I love this place so much! Every time I come here the service is always incredible. The food always has consistency, the vegan ramen has so much flavour, and the chicken karaage is great for sharing with a friend!
Fairly good food. Servers were all nice and friendly. Vegetarian options: They have Vegan Ramen Option as well as rolls and appetizers. Dietary restrictions: Let them know if you have allergies or food concerns
Great food, great prices!!
Great spot for sushi and ramen in Squamish. My wife loves the vegetarian ramen. Decent selection of food so its easy to find something that suits you. Can get busy at times so be prepared to wait. Service is efficient and food is good and consistent. There is usually street parking available nearby.
Service is top notch, the staff is so warm, friendly and welcoming. Food quality is so good I was genuinely surprised the ramen ingredients and fish were imported straight from Japan, and is sold at such a great price. Owners are extremely kind and will take the time to explain how the food is made. 10/10 experience
Great sushi and ramen! Its a fun place to go for dinner and is always busy! Sitting on the back patio in the summer is really nice. The design inside is really cool and it always seems to have the place to be vibes on a weekend evening.
Best Sushi and Ramen in British Columbia. Although it is in Squamish it beats other sushi places hands down. You have to try it. Top quality sushi, seafood and authentic. Vegetarian options: I m not a vegetarian so no comment Parking: There s always parking in Squamish Kid-friendliness: Super friendly and courteous. Kids will love this place
The food here was absolutely incredible if I lived in the area I would totally eat here alot alot alot, try the vegan ramen!!! Vegetarian options: Vegan options
Really lovely restaurant. The ambiance is great, the food is good and the service is quick and friendly. Ive come here to dine in and get take out plenty of times and its always been wonderful. Inside the restaurant can get a bit noisy from time to time but theres an outdoor patio if you prefer it a little quieter. The weight times can also seem a little daunting sometimes but for takeout its almost always done faster than you think and for dine in they always get people seated really quickly! Generally a 10/10 experience
Best Ramen Ive had in a long time
Best restaurant in town. Top quality fish and food made by people who know what they are doing and served by freindly and capable staff (which is, sadly, rare these days). It gets busy because it is the best and totally worth it.
First time eating sock eye salmon! Why don t we have this in the northeast???? Its the best! Such a little cute quant spot with very friendly staff! Will be back!
