As a towering white guy married to a Korean woman, you could say I’m no stranger to authentic Korean cuisine—I’ve eaten my fair share (and then some) of the good stuff. That being said, I have to emphasize that this place is on an entirely different level. This was, without exaggeration, some of the best soup I’ve had in years. Every bite was packed with the kind of deep, rich, and soulful flavors that only come from a kitchen steeped in tradition. It genuinely felt like being wrapped in a warm hug from the inside out. The authenticity here is undeniable—this is GENUINE Korean food done right, with the perfect balance of comfort and complexity that defines the cuisine. And the portions? Way more than I expected, leaving me completely satisfied and still wishing I had room for more. I can’t wait to bring my wife here next time we’re passing through town. I know she’s going to love it just as much as I did, if not more. This place is a gem, and it deserves all the recognition it can get. Whether you’re a longtime lover of Korean food or trying it for the first time, this spot should absolutely be on your list. If you like this kind of review subscribe and like. We had an amazing first visit to Blue House. We had Dolsot bibimbap, assorted tempura, and the BC roll combo. All the dishes were excellent. Our server was very prompt and friendly too which made our experience a delight.
I really wanted to like this place and support small businesses but after three months of operating, this restaurant and their staff still have not figured out any of the following: 1) how to get their iPad / ordering system to work - the iPads are on but we still had to place our orders with our waitress 2) the buffet option was terrible, the food was not placed under a heat lamp so everything on display was served cold - we ended up ordering a la carte. Giving 15% off during lunchtime for the buffet won’t help with the lack of love they give in preparing the food. 3) a la carte option lacked options - some items on the menu were also not available My spouse got his dish after 10 minutes of ordering and after he was done eating, I was still waiting (30 min of wait time). The waitress was completely clueless and was somewhat confused that I never got my dish. Funny enough, she never came by to check on us until I pressed the server button on our table. The service was subpar even though our waitress apologized afterwards and even offered free soup. I didn’t get my food until she ran inside to eat kitchen and told the chef. My order was missed. All the staff here were hardworking but really lacked awareness. I don’t recommend coming here until they figure out their operations. I even found a piece of hair in my bento box which is clear that the kitchen staff do not wear hairnets when prepping food. I hope this restaurant does well. Definitely a work in progress.
Delicious food, Great service, reasonably priced. Small buffet but plenty of variety. We showed up an hour to closing on a Saturday night and still had great selection. Not sure if there is a deal on the price right now but the price we paid was very reasonable.

If you're in Squamish and looking for a unique dining experience that goes beyond the usual fare, Blue House is an absolute must-visit. I can't wait to go back, and I will be back. There is also a tablet at each table to place an order for anything you may need, or requesting your bill.
Ate lunch here 2 days in a row...so far. Might make it 3 to try the buffet (offered for dinner and weekends only as of Aug 2024). Great options for mixed diet groups (omni, pescatarian, vegetarian). Tried the Tofu Veggie bento box one day and the next day I asked if I could have it with shrimp tempura instead (which was not a listed option), and they gladly accommodated without overcharging. Friends have gotten the hot plate dishes that come large portions of protein. They cook the food super fresh, so it might take a little longer than you expect but I will gladly wait knowing they make it to order. Phenomenal service and delicious food!
Very good food! Staff were extremely nice. Food is not the BEST, but for a buffet, it's VERY GOOD! and fresh as well, food came readily out. They recently opened so they're now up to speed and can handle the high volume of customers coming in It's definitely worth a visit when in the area. Reasonably priced
THIS IS THE SPOT, for some great Korean food!! Came here Tuesday 7/16 for the lunch buffet and tried almost everything. Very satisfied and full. Kimchi made in house was so good! Server was helpful, friendly and receptive to feedback. You gotta give this place a try if you’re looking for some different Asian fare. Definitely coming back to try more dishes! Thank you!
Good place. Nice staff, and the food is interesting and tasty. Generous portions. They offer both sockeye and atlantic salmon sushi a rare find in Squamish. For gluten free options, they have a few sushi rolls like salmon+avocado, as well as nigiri / sashimi, and GF soy sauce and even wasabi.
The Bibimbap is excellent. Great friendly service too.

really enjoyed the soondubu jigae! its been a while since being able to have simple home style korean food (especially in Squamish) and I appreciated the free refills on the banchan (kimchi dishes) while eating in the restaurant. the staff is also super friendly and lovely.

Called for a take out order, but we had some food restrictions. They were happy to answer our questions as well as work with our order to make it work for us! Food was yummy and great customer service. Would definitely eat from here again.
Sad to find out they stopped doing the buffet for the season. Ordered the fried chicken combo and it was tasty and a really big portion. Also had the seolleongtang and that hit the spot on a cold rainy day. Staff are also super friendly and welcoming. Ill come back again next time to try the buffet

We absolutely loved the food and the service was just amazing. The server helped us order, manage the hot pot and then was pleasant even as our daughter spilt food all over (8 months). Everyone left full and feeling great. We will definitely be back !

Great Korean food in Squamish! The buffet was closed so they only had a la carte, but I prefer a la carte to buffet anyway. The army hot pot was delicious (could be spicier!) and came with banchan and rice. They serve makkoli with bowls, which is always a fun (and authentic) experience. There were 2 of us and we had leftovers to take home. I spoke with the server and she let me know that if I wanted the soup to be spicier next time I can request it. The team is doing great and I love that they are bringing more Korean cuisine to the town. I ll be back next time to try more dishes!

The BEST sushi in Squamish. It s absolutely delicious. I ve been three times in the last week, I can t get enough of it. I ve also eaten here before I discovered their sushi, their other dishes are excellent, too. Also, somewhat related, their kitchen is spotless.
They had just opened at 11am so we were the only ones in there but staff were very friendly and food was fantastic! Bibimbap was healthy and tasty and the chicken combo we ordered was less healthy but spectacular! :p

We re glad that we came across this restaurant. Delicious and authentic korean food, definitely a must try especially their yangnyeom chicken and seafood sundubu if you re into a little spice. Their service is top-notch, everyone was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back to satisfy our korean food cravings!

Came here twice already within one week. Today I got seolleongtang - it was amazing!! Coming from a korean background, this soup tasted authentic! The broth was rich, and the beef strips were tender. My husband had japchae the last time we were here, and he said that was the best japchae hes had. The staff and the owners are super kind and hardworking. Ill be back for more korean food and excited to try some sushi there. This is becoming my go-to restaurant here in Squamish!

I recently dined at Blue House Korean Buffet & Sushi and had an absolutely delightful experience! I enjoyed the Japchae, and my friend had the sushi, both of which were delicious and offered at great prices. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, making our visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience with a variety of options. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

Finally got around to trying Blue House out and was not disappointed! The food was authentic, delicious, and fresh and the service was great. I didn t know you can order á la carte if you don t have the appetite for the buffet, but whether you opt for the buffet or order choose to order from the regular menu the value is fantastic. I 10/10 recommend checking this place out and supporting these local business owners (two of whom were working and made our experience a great one!). Very high quality korean food with a kind and service oriented owner. We ordered bulgogi beef for lunch. There was also a buffet with tempura. Miso soup was also yummy. The food came out fast and the atmosphere was family oriented, clean and modern.
We sat down and were immediately fussed over by the nicest service. Beef bulgogi and Jeyuk Bokkeum were delicious and fresh. We asked about the Kim chee sides and they were so excited to share pickled radishes, and two types of Kim chee to try. 10/10 on all aspects.

This place is for real. Legit Korean food :) there are two owners , one from Japan and one from Korea , we ordered a few Korean staples , and they all exceeded expectations. Ive eaten Korean food in Asia , Toronto , Vancouver, California , Blue House is right up there with the standard of Korean cooking that Ive been lucky enough to have in big centres. Squamish is lucky to have these folks here 10/10 would eat there again.
Went for dinner at 6pm on a Tuesday, party of 6. 90% of food was cold, at best luke warm. Almost all of the meat dishes were cold, despite being on warming trays. That which was warm enough to eat was tasty. Sadly, the best thing was the freshly cut watermelon and the brookie dessert. We were advised they change the offerings, but the things we went in for weren t on offer. There was a large group, someone was playing the guitar and singing by the time we left? Very strange vibes. 30% off, but $29.99 was way too much for the quality that we experienced. Maybe we just hit it on an off night? Staff were attentive at least.

This place is excellent. Very good food. The servers are very kind and courteous. Food choice is plenty. Every dish was flavourful and tasty. The prices are very reasonable if you re staying around here.
We stopped in for buffet after a day of climbing. The restaurant was clean and bright. The buffet food was all fresh. The owner stated she was just between settings and assured us she would bring more food out (she did), but the spread was already good. I was impressed with the selection considering the website said it was a soft opening with limited items. They had a good selection of Japanese and Korean but we came for the Korean and it didnt disappoint. The kimchi was fresh, flavourful, and some of the best Ive had. The beef bulgogi was tender, juicy, and garlicky. Surprisingly, my favourite dish was the shrimp rice. For such a simple dish, it was so flavourful. It is currently 30% off for their opening special. Endless, fresh, tasty Korean food for the cost of a burrito - yes please! Do the community a favour and support this place. Id hate to lose a gem like this.

Nice selection of Korean dishes for lunch at a good price point. Everything we tried was delicious especially the kimchi pancakes, Korean fried chicken, and egg omelette rolls. Would definitely visit again if in the area. Plenty of free parking in the surrounds - the restaurant website even has a helpful map!
Went here for dinner tonight not sure if we caught them on and off day but, the food was mostly cold they didn t have much food out and the portions they bring out for everyone is very small they brought out 10 wings for the buffet, it just definitely was not worth $40 per person
We arrived for dinner at 6pm on a weekday. There were very limited options many of the buffet dishes were empty or running low, and werent refilled while we were there. The food that was available was very cold. Some reviews are including pictures of sushi, but note that sushi is a la carte, and not included in the buffet. We were also excited for the shaved ice many reviews had mentioned for dessert, but were disappointed that our only options were watermelon or a grocery store brookie (brownie cookie). I was really excited to try this place (especially after reading the reviews), however I wouldnt recommend it especially for the price point.
They let me use their washroom after I checked out of Crash Hotel next door. Very kind people and very clean place!

My review is for the buffet portion of the restaurant. We came here around 7pm on a Friday night and to our surprise, most if the trays were empty. After salvaging the remaining scraps for our first dish, there was nothing left. We asked the waitress a few times when the food would be refilled and she politely explained that the chef was at hard at work cooking more. We waited around 30 minutes before they brought more. Foodwise, everything tasted alright although the choices were very limited with about 20 items (think school cafeteria). 70% of the items were either deep fried or air fried so you arent really able to eat much before feeling stuffed. There were several customers that order a al carte and their food looked great. Granted the buffet price is $40 (30% discount currently), I would recommend everyone to avoid the buffet and just order off their menu.

Absolutely loved the variety of authentic, quality, and home cooked Korean dishes. The concept of a Korean buffet is so creative, I ve never been to one before! Each dish is made with its own special recipe and is so well cared for. Quality and quantity for sure! Can t wait to be back. A Squamish speciality!
Food during prime dinner hours was cold. It was hard to get past that, but a couple of dishes were edible. Would not recommend. Staff were kind and brought more items that were running out on the buffet. Definitely poor value for money. Food : 1/5

Ate lunch here today for the last day of their grand opening promotion. The food was delicious and the service very attentive and friendly. I think that this restaurant is a great addition to Squamish food options. The staff told us that they are fine tuning their menu offerings as they learn what works for Squamish. We look forward to eating here again soon!
Get ready for all your Korean favorites! This restaurant serves up Korean classics at an unlimited buffet for a pretty reasonable price. They have kimchi fried fried, jeyuk bokkeum (spicy stir-fried pork), tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork/chicken), japchae, tteokbokki, and side dishes. All the classics made the way your mom does. They also have small desserts, fruit, salad, and soup (miso and seaweed with beef). They have spicy but many not spicy options if youre willing to try something new and delicious. They also have a bibimbap (mixed rice) bowl you can make yourself. Get some rice and all your favorite meats, vegetables, and kimchi, add you sauce and youre ready to dig in. No line, plenty of space and nice staff. Unlimited plates, 2 hour time limit, and 30% off for a limited time.

I love it! Typically I dont love buffets just because I wont eat enough for the price, but Im so happy to have Korean food in Squamish! If youre in a hurry or like to EAT this is the spot! For their soft opening they have self serve buffet, so you just come in, sit down, and start serving yourself. I really liked the level of spice, it was delicious but not too strong. My favourites were the spicy stirfried pork, the sweet potato noodles, and the zuchini pancake <3 Also the shaved ice dessert was really nice too! light and not too sweet, but they put frosted flakes and berries on it! Would love to come here with a group.

So happy to see new Asian places opening up in Squamish! We went for lunch as part of the soft opening. Super lovely service and the food was great. Personal favorites were the kimchi jjigae and japchae, and I could have lived off of the banchan! Kpop was a bit loud when we first came in, but all of the staff were very lovely and actively asking for input on the food and service. Lunch and dinner buffet are apparently a little different, with more things like short ribs and seafood in the evening. Will have to come back soon!
We went for the dinner buffet and it was excellent! The food was tasty, fresh and the buffet offered much variety so it was great to taste a bit of everything. Service was amazing, our waitress was attentive and superfriendly. Also, everything was clean and well organized. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Nice new and inviting renovation with views of the Chief. Buffet had at least 5 each of salads, appetizers, meats, vegetables. All were made with good quality ingredients, such as avocado in the salad, the beef was not fatty. I came for lunch and they said there is even more selection at dinner. I will come again. Fill one of their take out boxes for under $20 seems like a good option to me.
Really good food and service. We were not hungry enough for a buffet but dont let that put you off coming in! The best miso and agadashi in town and good value. Sushi Rolls were great and overfilled with meat and fish (thats good). Will come back for buffet when we are hungrier!
The bulgogi beef was tender and juicy, the kimchi was spicy and sour, totally loved it. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff who knew the menu inside out , even the offers were moneysaving and worth it. The atmosphere was cozy and modern, with K-pop playing in the background. Im obsessed with this place and cant wait to come back for more! 5 stars isnt enough - Id give it 10 stars if I could!

I went there a few days before for a lunch with my wife. Everything is awesome including their kind service. Seaweed soup was especially good. They provided special mango shaved ice desert on the house at the end and it tasted so nice, healthier than other western desert. Definitely we will visit again.
If you want to be transported back to Korea, this place is it! The minute you step in, the interior is beautiful, like an Ikea display. The space is bright, open, vibrant. Kpop music flowing in the background. Great views of the Chief as you dine at one of the booths. Great option for a hungry climber/biker/construction worker. Food was delicious, large assortment of banchan (side dishes). Tasty protein options (fried chicken, fish cakes, sausages). Our faves were the bulgogi, Korean fried chicken, mung bean pancake, and seaweed soup. And lastly, the service is so friendly!! Blue House absolutely delivered. We cant wait to come back with friends.

Wow! We just finished up and had to get on here. This is the food quality of the fancy places in Vancouver, but in Squamish and a fraction of the price. The family is so nice and we need to get the word out so we have an awesome spot like this in town! Best braised short ribs I ve ever had!
Food is melt in your mouth delicious and the owners are SO sweet! The options at the buffet are endless, highlight was definitely the braised pork ribs! And even when you think you re full, the milky shaved ice is the perfect mix of sweet and childhood nostalgia - trust me, you have room! Thanks Blue House, we ll be back soon!
