Staff is welcoming and friendly. The service is excellent. Love the cider and the food is amazing. Very happy to have discovered this place: it will become the stopping place after skiing, hiking, climbing, and cycling.
Its been about a year, and i decided to pop in for some fish tacos. Great decision. My honest thought while I was eating them, was that I wanted to be buried with them. Possibly with one in my mouth. Honest score on service was 4 (but i scored them a 5) because they took a long time to make, but sounded like someone called in sick. Can't take away a point for that......
We had the pleasure of having Luz Tacos cater our wedding, and from the menu tasting months prior to the big day, they exceeded every expectation. Our guests were pleasantly surprised by the bold and delicious flavor profiles, and the cauliflower option was a hit across the board. The service was incredible—professional, friendly, and timely. Luz Tacos delivered big portions with expedited delivery, making the entire experience seamless and memorable. If you're looking for exceptional catering with flavors that will leave your guests talking, Luz Tacos is the way to go!
Great little stop on hwy 99. I would suggest stopping in for lunch or dinner. Make sure to leave room for dessert, the churros w/caramel are amazing.
Great food and amazing staff at their food truck today during Canada day down town Squamish. Chicken taco delish!!
We were lucky to have Luz Tacos cater our last minute wedding. Hector and Bernie are the best, the food was awesome. -Logan & Sarah
We stopped here on our way to Whistler and loved trying it for the first time. We hope the meat lovers tacos that had pork carnitas, Chipotle chicken, and fish, as well as the spec'Taco'lar which had crispy cauliflower done up like a fish taco, fried beans, and a sauteed vegetable medley. All of it was so good and my only critique is that the fish taco could be crispier. Other than that, the flavors were spectacular and the service very friendly and efficient. It was a little hard to spot this place because the cider sign is much larger than the Luz Tacos sign.
Enjoyed these tacos. Great flavours. The prices were pretty high in my opinion. My sister and I ordered the same thing and her chicken taco came without sauce and pickled onion, but mine had it. There’s nowhere to eat them and the brewery beside it won’t even let you use their bathroom.
Great deals daily, and best burritos in Squamish. Really friendly staff!
Ordered the surf and turf. Next level tacos right here!!! And the blood orange habanero margarita was phenomenal. Highly recommend!!
Love the food and the staff. Fun place to go for a bite to eat or a drink. Dietary restrictions: Will ask if there are restrictions and make what you need. Parking: Lots of parking
Luz was such a hit at our backyard wedding! They were easy to deal with and flexible leading up to the day and then the day of they were amazing!!! Everything went super smoothly and all the staff were so happy and welcoming. They even asked me (the bride) if I wanted them to make me a separate plate of appies since I missed the original platter and they could bring it to me at my table. They think of all the little details and the trailer is so cute and fit our vibe perfectly. I would highly reccomend them for any event and I d love to use them again for something else in the future!
Food was bland and not very satisfying. Couldn t really chew or eat easily. Couldn t eat any more because of the taste.
Amazing tacos and amazing nachos chicken nachos and I had a Machado drink that was wow
Absolutely amazing mexican food, fantastic service, great ciders. 10/10 Vegetarian options: Vege taco options amazing! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options for tacos and others!
They have great Tacos! We always ride all the way to squamish to get some tacos with beer.
Loved the food, the place, the staff. Everything was perfect. Definitely recommend!
Came here originally for Tacos Ordered 5 different meat tacos Tacos are quite good but little bit dry with the pork and beef ones, pork belly is much better and the sausage , pretty tasty with tap blood orange cider! The blood orange cider was so yummy that we even order a 6 pack to go! Haha same as black fruit and pear ones! Was really good and nice mountain view in front of the patio! Will definitely come back again!
just perfect i would say, i mean the food was so so good . they offer a lot of variety and drinks as well the service was preety good they are very polite and kind .
I ve eaten here a few times and never been very impressed. The tacos are average and overpriced and typically cold. Three strikes you re out Luz.
Nice place. Good food. Service was fine. Patio was cute. Cant complain, it was a nice time.
Favorite place in the area when we drive through this town. Always recommend this place to friends. Their food is awesome and the patio is so relaxing.
Fish tacos omg divine thank you
Couldnt find it. Not at this location it seems.
I came with 13 people, staff says they are closing. Its 9.07 pm. You guys are close at 10 pm. Please correct your hours or train staff how to do business
Stopped here for some tacos to go based on reviews. So glad we stopped. Those were some of the best tacos I have ever had and we live in Las Vegas and travel to California all the time. The hot sauce was creamy and spicy and not too hot. The birra taco had a great meat flavor that was juicy and spicy and the two corn tortillas are a must. The fish taco was outstanding with its crispy battered piece atop cabbage with some pickled onions, a cream sauce and the hot sauce. Next time we will ask for more hot sauce in the side as it was that good. Didn t take photos of food, because we ate it super fast, but presentation was very appealing. We will be back here again when going to Whistler next year. Came back in March for skiing, still the BEST fried fish tacos ever. We love this place so much and wish we could visit more often.
Tacos were great, the salad was fine.
Great food, delicious margaritas and friendly service. Nachos are amazing!
I have formally left a 5* review for Luz Tacos. I have been visiting Luz for about 3 years, relatively frequently from Whistler. I was initially shown Luz by a friend when it was a good truck outside a frame brewery. I must have had tacos there more than 20 times, both at the food truck and when it changed location to geo cidre and have always found the tacos to be exquisite. I travelled Mexico for 2 months a few years ago and these usually are the best tacos outside of Mexico and one of my favourite places to eat on the sea to sky. Yesterday on the way to the city, we decided to take some friends on the way down and were bitterly disappointed. Something has definitely changed, despite the server telling us otherwise. First of all the tacos arent even on the menu, nor is there any references to Luz Tacos. The server explained this as something to do with the landlord having issues with another of their owned properties and not being able to have 2 mexican places, whatever that means. The presentation of the tacos was completely different, they usually come on a tray with 3 connected vs so you can easily pickup the tacos and theyre wrapped in 2 tortillas as you can see in other reviews posted to Google. The tacos I had yesterday were frankly terrible, they were missing heaps of ingredients and sauces. I always ask for mine to be extra spicy and theyre made that way, yesterday I was given a little pot of sauce to put on myself. Usually the tacos are quite messy to eat because of the amount of sauce dripping from them. I had 2 pastor (my favourite) and 1 carnitas as usual and I can absolutely guarantee this was the same taco as usual. Either geo cidre is lying that Luz tacos is still there and its their food, or something terrible has happened. RIP Luz Tacos
Its not on the menu anymore, but if you ask them to make you one of them Award winning surf and turf tacos, you wont be disappointed.
Near impossible to place an order over the phone and the app isn t user friendly. Good food terrible customer service. Phone line is loud and crackly.
We had a fantastic night~ perfect venue for our staff party~ great food, amazing drinks and amazing service. Thanks Luz! Vegetarian options: good options Dietary restrictions: very acommodating Parking: lots of parking
Great food, really good ciders, solid service and overall nice vibe/atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Fantastic food and friendly staff
It was ok. The tacos were actually not bad, but we waited about 43 min for 3 tacos, also tacos are very expensive.
Tacos were amazing. Nowhere to sit and eat them though :(
Just had the best birthday dinner. The El Ray Combo of tacos, a blood orange and habenero margarita and churros So good! Love the new location - excited to have a new indoor Luz to come to.
10/10 will ALWAYS recommend. Based out of whistler both my boyfriend and myself get cravings all the time for Luz burritos.. myself a vegan burrito (absolutely stellar), my boyfriend a pork burrito done medium (unreal). We drive to squamish literally just for Luz. I ve no joke had a dream about getting one. Thank you to the kitchen staff, you guys have always been kind and made our day a good one.
The new location is beautiful, and chef Rodrigo is absolutely killing it with the best tacos in the world
They used to be great next to A-frame. At the new location, even with choosing what time to pick up, we had to wait for a while, and it s gone way too expensive for how small the potions are now. The music was too loud inside too, couldn t even hear what servers were asking. Sad to say but pretty disappointed overall. $20 for 2 pieces of quarter size quesadilla? No thanks.
Ridiculous prices for such small portions of food (tasted good), and then they flip the iPad around and ask for an 18% tip minimum??
Food is decent, but not worth the price.
We both got 3 tacos that came with 2 small side salads. We also shared an order of jalapeño poppers, which were served on an ice-cold tray [?] The taco dishes were basically an equivalent of a large burger & fries. Add two small margaritas. The bill came to $118. Seeing how the food was below average, we will never go back. Simply over-priced mediocrity.
Took over an hour for a burrito take out and was cold when I got it
Came here for a quick lunch on our way to Whistler. Going by the reviews, we expected the food to be really good. It is highly disappointing if you are hoping for authentic Mexican. Even though the ingredients and descriptions indicate authentic flavours, there is something terribly wrong with how everything actually tastes.
Great food truck food!
Don t know what happened. Definitely went downhill
Delicious food and friendly service, a must!
Wow! Fish tacos were amazing and they are so kind!!! They put love into their meals
The best fish tacos I ve ever had! Such a cute spot, amazing beer and cider plus the people who work here are so great! We come here every time we re in Squamish
These guys were amazing! We hired them for a company event, they showed up right on time and was ready to serve even earlier then anticipated which worked out perfect for us. The portions were great!! Everyone loved the food, especially the fish Taco. They were a wonderful addition to our event and we would hire them again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!
Good tacos and probably the only place in Squamish I would recommend for food.
Great food served by great people. Best tacos I have ever had Food : 5/5
Very good food and atmosphere! Very good price!
Loved the surf and turf taco and the burritos are huge. Not to mention fantastic service and ciders on tap.
Service is superb, cider and food are great!!
Delicious food, authentically Mexican (owner & cooks), the best in Squamish, in my opinion. Their burritos are fantastic, as are their tacos - havent tried any other choices, as were hooked on the burritos (every week!). Situated in Geo Cider, so you can dine in and enjoy one of their excellent ciders, or choose from a nice assortment of beers or cocktails with your meal. They also have their Airstream trailer on Cleveland Ave, which serves the same great food.
The staff recommended the tacos al pastor and they were the best Ive had outside of Mexico. Very authentic flavour.
Best tacos in the city!
Consistently amazing! I come here anytime I blow through Squamish - usually after backpacking trips when I have a voracious appetite. So delicious.
Best Mexican food in the Sea to Sky!
I used to be a big fan of Luz Taco when they were at A frame. Ever since they moved to Geo Cider, the price went to the roof, and the food got slim and fad. It is the second time I ordered a burrito there, and there no sauce or barely was added, the meat was minimal. We are paying over 21$ for a burrito, it should taste like a 21$ burrito. You guys sadly lost a costumer.
$22 for this? What a rip off. Totally soggy too. What happened to Luz..
The food and service was great. We ate at their food truck in Whistler. The lady working the till was incredible. She spoke a little Spanish to me which was a nice touch.
Nice little cider spot on the edge of town. Found the cider not that flavoursome and poutine was okay, should have probably stuck to the Mexican!
Amazing tacos, highly recommend getting a combo. Staff is awesome and vibe is good. Perfect spot to hit up for a beer and lunch after a hike.
It s just so meh!!!! Have tired a new things a few different times and it s always low in the flavour department, takes forever (when it s not busy) and is over priced. No more tries for me.
Great alternative option for a brewery, restaurant feel for inventive ciders, cocktails and good Mexican style food. The atmosphere is good but catering more as a restaurant than bar. It would be good to see the weekend nights with a bit more ambient lighting and louder music to give more of a cocktail bar feel. The menu is a mix of taco options, burritos, nachos. While all the food options I ve tried taste great I feel the omission of guacamole to be an oversight, especially with the nachos. Price is slightly high given the simple food options but happy that location exists in this part of town for occasional visits.
Great place to relax, eat, and drink!
Really enjoy this place everytime I go. Great food and warm/friendly staff. Thanks for your service!! Food : 5/5
Vegetarian options: Cauliflower taco is excellent Recommended dishes
LuzTacos catered my wife s 50th. They brought the airstream food trailer to our house. We had approx 80 people. If there where 10 stars to give we would give them that. Hector and Amanda where amazing to help plan. On the day Berny and the team where amazing. Food was excellent. Staff was outstanding. Could not recommend them more!!
Great tacos, best I ever had! Service was very accommodating and friendly. Only the ac was a bit strong so I got a bit chilly. Very good cider and a nice place to eat!
Good tacos and good drinks. Fish taco came with particularly large piece of fish.
I absolutely love this place. Tacos are amazing. But, its just too expensive. Myself and my partner got 3 tacos and 1 pint of cider each. After the tip it was over $80. Just seems crazy expensive for small tacos. If it was slightly cheaper, like tacos for $4-5 Id be back every week.
Delicious jalapeño poppers and the best veggie tacos were the crema de rama and the baja cauliflower! Tasty churros also would recommend to anyone!
Food and service continues to be excellent! Now you can get a cider flight as well!
Its not the taco truck of old. There is so much on the menu, and the style now is very fresh and flavourful! Their taco salads are delicious; the chicken is my favorite. They have a proper selection of tequila, too. Worth visiting if you havent been yet!
Best Mexican tacos in Squamish, great atmosphere.
Was really craving tacos and was impressed by the baja fish tacos. Lots of fish. Apart from that I was not impressed. Other tacos faintly reminded me of dog food and was way too saucy. Straight mush. Would not come again, don t waste your time, drive on.
The place is great, but for a Mexican Food connoisseur, I would say it is a fusion, but not really Mexican food at all.
Great burrito. Good portion. Fish and prawn tacos were great as well. Get at least two per person.
One of the best tacos in Canada. If you re in Squamish you have to try these. So flavourful and fresh.
We ordered 2 of the 3 tacos with chicken, and they took 20 minutes to give us only 3 tacos with steak. Had to get them to remake the order and also to give us the rest of our order. The entire thing took almost an hour to get out of there, and they didnt even give us to-go packaging like we asked. The white guy who works there has no idea what hes doing - he was constantly screwing up orders. AND, none of the staff making the food were wearing masks. The only good thing about that place was the churros. Wont be returning.
The most delicious fish tacos, jalapeño poppers and churros I have ever had! And friendly and helpful staff thanks for the experience!
Killer food with some heat! We came up to Squamish for a motorcycle ride and stopped for lunch. Definitely some great tasting stuff. Not one unsatisfied.
Came here with my wife, who has celiac disease, because they have many items marked as gluten free. Starting with the ordering process, we ordered a plate of three tacos and a single taco on the side. Which she punched in as four individual tacos, making it $11 more than what it should have been. We also had to repeat four times which tacos we wanted. We then waited twenty minutes for them to eventually tell us the kitchen didn t want to make the order because they would have to change gloves and wipe down the grill. If you aren t willing to do that then don t put gluten free on your menu. The way the staff handled the situation was unprofessional and disappointing.
This food truck is a staple of quality food, they have the best burritos in town. let me repeat that THE BEST BURRITOS IN TOWN and good bang for your buck as they are huge! The tacos are great too very flavorful worth the money! The staff Ive always had the best experience with, they are accommodating and have always gone above and beyond for me. I absolutely love this place I mostly do take away but if Im feeling a beer A-frame compliments the food so well. Beware if its a Friday night or weekend its guaranteed to be busy and parking is scarce. There will undoubtedly be a long wait as good food takes time to make be patient and delicious food will make its way to you. Ive worked a food truck before in Toronto and I understand the misconception of food truck = fast food. Thats never the case when its quality food being delivered, Im telling you its worth the wait!
3 tacos for $15.50 but if you order with one fish Taco its $26. I think they are scamming people
Order GRINGA (extra spicy). IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND
Great food! We had a chicken burrito, bean tacos, and a kids burrito. The portions were huge and we all left full. The price is on the higher side, but it is a great stop option if going to or from Whistler.
Was the best, not sure what happened.
Was craving burritos and specifically a seafood burrito. Luz charged me an extra $10.50 for shrimp and then only put a few small pieces of shrimp in there. Felt ripped off.
terrible experience the prices are through the roof, the car inside is quite dirty it seems that they will not clean it and if you tip they are for the owner the employees do not receive anything don t go there
Amazing prawn tacos!! Definitely would come back.
Amazing food but OMG the price is absolutely insane!!! The most expensive tacos I have ever seen.
Great vegan burritos!
Delicious tacos and churros! Great options for the tacos toppings. Very fresh and tasty. The service was great too!! Highly recommend over any Taco place in Squamish.
Super delicious Quesadillas and Tacos! We enjoyed every bite, all of the food we ordered was super fresh and flavourful. Make sure you check out this amazing local business when you have a craving for good Mexican food :)
Phenomenal food here. This is a food truck that is camped beside a brewery. I checked online and it seemed to be very popular so we went to go eat. I had the carnitas burrito and it was packed with love. There is a patio but you would have to order at the brewery to use it. There are two benches on the side of the food truck if you want to eat on a nice sunny day. Essentially you order the food and they have the wireless coaster pager so you will know once your order has finished. I definitely recommend trying it out of you are in the area. You can also order online or simply call and place an order ahead of time.
Really wanted to try Luz, however, once I arrived at 8:15pm was told they were closed at 8:00pm even though their hours say 9:00pm. They were still making food and looked like the just wanted to close early.
Best mexican in Squamish and right next to my favorite beers at A-frame Vegetarian options: Vegan burrito is awesome
Delicious taco, liked the chicken one best
Best place for a vegan burrito.
45 mins wait for a to get an average Burrito? Must be kidding me. Not worth it.
The best chicken quesadilla I ve ever had!
My husband and I ate at AFrame Luz Tacos on July 2 around 3pm. Ahead of ordering I noticed that you can order sides of salsa and sour cream. I wanted to order the quesadilla so I asked ahead of ordering if it came with the salsa and sour cream. I was told that yes, it comes with salsa, hot sauce and sour cream. When I picked it up at the window and took back to my seat I was surprised to see no condiments inside and only my quesadilla. I left my quesadilla on the table and went back to clarify if I was mistaken and asked if it was supposed to come with the condiments the man told me it came with beforehand. When I asked, he said yes I put them in there. I said there is nothing in there. So he handed me some sour cream. When I asked if I could have some hot sauce, he said I put some in there but here s some more. And he seemed frustrated. I asked if I could please get some salsa and he said I put some in the container. I thought maybe I was confused so I went and looked in my quesadilla container and lifted the paper up and looked underneath my quesadilla. There was nothing there and I should have gone back and asked but I was disappointed to feel like he was questioning my integrity and talking to me as if I just wanted free sides of condiments. After spending $37 on our two meals and including a 15% tip it just left me feeling disappointed at the experience. The food was good but it was definitely missing the salsa that I was excited about enjoying. It s the only food option at Aframe brewing and it left a sour taste in my mouth and I don t know that I would choose to eat there or drink there again when it felt that the customer is not always right .
Worst Mexican ever. Sorry Canadians- we have a lot more Mexican options in California, and as a result, it has to be good and authentic, and this was neither. The guacamole was clearly store-bought and gross. The portions tiny. The beans and other items- not fresh or homemade. Very bad. Very expensive and bad.
Great food, love the burrito :) it would be better with vegan cheese options ;)
These tacos are legit authentic and delicious!!! Some of the best I ve had outside of Mexico/central America.
I found this place quite by accident and now is a must stop when Im in Squamish. Best tacos Ive ever had. Especially the rajas con crema tacos. Amazing. The cod tacos were also amazing with a very big piece of cod. The tacos had a lot of filling.
The nachos are on point. Finally, a place that has the correct chip:stuff ratio and a good layering protocol. 10/10.
Hearty, spicy, friendly service
lousy service, they take a long time to serve you, expensive, hard and old meat, and they dont give you what you asked for
Amazing food. Great quantity and quality with amazing views of the mountains.
Amazing food with great value and quick service - 100% worth a stop
Great stop, friendly staff
Luz is always busy. Expect a wait. Just know that the wait is worth it. Possibly the best tacos and burritos in Squamish. Try the pulled pork burrito or the fish tacos, both are to die for.
Highly recommend the Baja shrimp band fish tacos they were flavorful with lots of textural contrast. The chips and guacamole was also delicious! Luz Tacos makes the beer from A-Frame brewing worth drinking.
Honestly one of the best Quesadillas Ive had here :) pretty excited to come back and try the attached brewery!
Best tacos ever! Thank s Luz Tacos!
Great tacos. So worth the money they dont skimp on the meat. Loved there hot sauce
The best Mexican dishes Ever, wonderful experience this food truck has tender meat and tasty. Highly recommend it !!! Viva mexico
Great food! The fish tacos are big, both my boyfriend and I felt that 2 is plenty because if you order 3 it gets pretty pricey. I always order my spice level at medium everywhere I go but the medium spice here is too spicy. The burritos and churros are also really tasty. Just wish there was a dip for the churros for that price.
Bleh very Sub Par Food., taco salad that was not really a taco in a salad, no Guac minimal salsa ( Pico) HUGE slaw and i mean HUGE( thats what she said), a few small slivers of chips, since when does a taco have steak pieces and not ground beef, althou the 8 small pieces of steak were delicious. for the amount paid would not have this again ..( Wendys taco salad is actually a taco salad) this one does not even have the basics of a taco, sour cream, cheese, taco meat, guac) If i were a Rabbit this would be fantastic, slow down on the slaw, its overkill.. just my measly .2 cents worth...
OMG! Best churros in BC! I dont mind the drive from Vancouver to have these awesome freshly made churros
Awesome local hangout or just a great place to stop on your way through town. Shares the same premises as A-Frame Brewing so you can grab some tacos and have a beer too!
I waited 45 min for a vegetarian plate of tacos to go cause no pet allowed in the patio, guess what my tacos had meat really disappointed. Long wait for nothing
The carnitas taco salad is my favourite meal in Squamish. Thanks guys! Don t ever change it!
This little taco truck is amazing! The guy taking the orders was super friendly. Ordered the street tacos and got a carnitas, asada, and chicken chipotle. They were soooo flavorful! I couldnt decide which one I liked the best. Just be warned though, hot means HOT! Will definitely be coming back here.
Top Tacos in Squamish
Recently discovered Luz Tacos and I love it. Their burrito size is pretty good and their hot sauce is delicious. Their portion for tacos is generous too. I like how they add chips to the burrito instead of rice, gives a different touch and texture. Recommended! :)
Delicious. Had the fish tacos and they were perfection.
Great tacos!! Their hot salsa is SUPER hot
Wow. Value for food quality was awesome. Friendly staff and they offer a spicy option.
Too expensive small food
I refuse to pay $1.50 to order pick up, you lost my $50 order.
Asada nachos. Extra hot.
Way overpriced for okay food
Burritos the size of a baby arm. Best burrito in squamish
Great tacos. The staff was friendly and the prices were good.
I ordered the carnitas burrito and got 85% cabbage, 5% pork and 10% shell. Pretty lame burrito for $18.
Pretty good tacos. Best in town for sure. Pricy for what you get. Disappointing that after a 45 minute wait for the takeout order, they forgot the guac I ordered.
Their tacos and sauces are very delicious.
Super clean, fresh food. The corn tortillas are from sweet corn & add flavour to the tacos. Extraordinary! Were nor locals, but stop in whenever were in Squamish. Online order is easy enough. So good! Go check them out.
Outstanding! Well worth the visit!
Food was great, service was not. Waited 35 minutes for 2 tacos only to learn that they lost my order and then i had to wait 5 more minutes. My friend ordered a Salad and waited 30 minutes for it but he ordered a large and got a medium.
Very tasty tacos! The pastor tacos were particularly good. Lots of achiote seasoning.
Sitting here stuffing my face with authentic Mexican fud. Amazing taste, perfectly cooked fish, best Ive had in BC so far.
Had a chicken burrito. Very tasty and flavorful. It is not a cheap eat so a disappointing thing for me was the wrap job; the burrito fell apart instantly and was super leaky. I know its possible to wrap it better than that. It was a busy time, so perhaps rushing contributed to that but the overall experience was lessened by that nonetheless. My partner ordered the Vegan burrito but unknowingly received a chicken burrito. Took a bite... then began instantly wondering if this was real chicken or imitated chicken. I think its a pretty big deal to give a vegan person meat hidden in a wrapped meal. I would be horrified as a restauranteur/food truck owner if that had happened to one of my customers and would apologize profusely. They did the minimum and replaced burrito with the right order and added a quick sorry. Again, that tarnished the experience. In summary: 5 stars for taste, 0 stars for execution and a meh! for service.
Food was super excellent and delicious. Staff members was friendly. Service was good. In end of meal, I told my family we need to drive to squeamish once a month, otherwise I will miss theirs taco.
Just order the Gringas Quesadilla you will be mind blown!!!
My husband and I stopped here for lunch on the way to whistler. Food selection is excellent for all diets/lifestyles. I had 3 tacos and my husband had a chicken burrito. Best Mexican weve had since we can remember!! Great flavours, presentation and nice and spicy! We got medium and it was timely and friendly service!! Its Lovely to hear people speaking Spanish with customers, and enjoying a brew on the patio. cant wait to come back to try more!
The order was not supposed to be like as it was earlier. I told them and they just put on top of it which supposedly to be mixed with food.
I had the fish taco, it was sublime . The dude running the show was amazing.. he cooked up the taco, and made some super great conversation. And the location, next to a frame brewery, which is an awesome business run by awesome people, is perfect. This is a place you go back to, and youve stopped wondering long ago if its the food or the people pulling you back.
This is place serves awful food at insane prices. The best part is when they punch In your order, flip the screen around and ask you to choose a tip option, 15-20-25 percent.
Waited 15 minutes in line to be told food will take 45 minutes. Couldnt wait to eat, travelling with baby. There should be a warning.
#1.-There is no tables to eat #2.- unless you consume at the brewery ..#3.-like if the Tacos werent expensive enough plus the guy from the brewery has a very goofy actitud...And I know this is a food truck but some of them have tables and they dont change extra for spicy sauce PLUS YOUR ADVERTISING IS OFFERING BEER AND TACOS BUT ITS JUST A HOOK FOR YOU TO CONSUME EXTRA $$$ ON THE BREWERY
The tacos are just okay. We waited for 45 min on a Monday for 3 tacos and then were given the wrong order. I love the beer at A-Frame but wish there was rotating food trucks. This taco truck was not a highlight unfortunately.
Drove an hour to grab a taco . Showed up to the order window at 8:01pm. With no one else around, they rudely said they re closed. After trying to nicely trying to ask if they could still help me, they persisted to rudely say they re closed and are missing some ingredients. Will never eat here again. Absolutely S**t service.
Amazing food. Its our go to place on sea to sky highway. Definitely will visit again.
Bartender was rude. Could be a nice spot but they should seriously consider hiring new staff. Would steer clear.
Waited over 45 mins for food. Wouldn t have been an issue if we hadn t watched the staff process shorter orders before ours (as in moved the receipts from other customers behind us in line before ours). Asked for chips and salsa as we ordered because they started preparing them immediately, but they said that our entire order needed to be picked up all at once, which led to the chips being totally soggy upon receipt. Still left two stars because the food was quite good.
Food is average, and the wait time is very long. My family stopped by here only because we thought the food truck would be fast like a fast food restruant, and we we hungry. But we were wrong. The staff do not care about the customers taking out. They only care about the customers eating in. My family waited 40 minutes for one taco. We asked them if the order was ready two times. They did not seem to care at all or mention the chef about it. The weather was very windy and chilly when we ordered. Not recommended.
Not enough chicken, Inconsistent fillings it all depends on who is cooking that day tacos burritos, quesadilla too.always handy friendly staff. Gets busy .
Excellent vibe, good view, authentic, nothing but good things to say.
Would have loved to try these tacos, but the brewery refused to seat us or even add us to the wait list. They should not associate themselves with A-Frame brewery that is rude/condescending to their guests, as well as turns away business for them.
The potato taco really stood out, everything else was just okay. Their house made chips are really good as well.
Good food ! Good Value !
Very tasty. Longer than average wait. I guess its best to call ahead or order online.
We ordered two burritos for pick up on their website today. We had a wait time of 30 minutes. After that, we waited another 5 minutes in front of the food truck, waiting for our order to be called. They were apparently kept warm, unbeknownst to us. Clearer communication would have saved us from a lot of frustration here. On top of that, our order was also mixed up. The food itself was also average.
We hired hector and the luz taco fellas for our wedding and all I can say is wow. The fantastic service, and more importantly the fantastic food. Our guests were over the moon with how delicious and fresh everything was and we were so happy with our choice. To anyone looking for catering I would not recommend anyone else other than luz tacos, thank you for making our wedding day that much more special, and delicious!
Luz Tacos catered our wedding and it was a dream come true for us! Hector and his crew were so accommodating to our dietary needs, and even gave us some suggestions to ensure that food came out in a timely manner. They brought up an extra tent to cover the service area and they were all so friendly! As for the food, everyone enjoyed it thoroughly - we re so happy we got to share one of our favourite restaurants with our friends and family! The food was fresh, delicious & very satisfying. Thank you guys so much!
sorry, we close at 9 Me: but its 8.35?!? yeah, sorry, we close at 9 This updates my previous positive review. Never tell me youll be open and then be otherwise.
Really loved these tacos Hubby and I loved the papas y chorizo taco. Me gusta! The A Frame brewing next door is awesome too, great ambiance and friendly staff!
I don t know if we re cursed but literally every single time I order from Luz they get the order wrong. Missing items, wrong items all together, they ve even lost my entire order after paying in full. I ve tried and tried again because my friends insist on eating here. Even the food we do receive is meh . We ve given up.
Loved the food but waited 2 hours for ice cold burritos last night. Not stoked on that.
Poor Luz Tacos. When I discovered Luz a couple years ago, it was the best taco joint in the lower mainland. Now, sadly, its not. The food is still good (but not amazing), but the service is subpar. Long wait times, confusing order protocols, and simply not worth the wait or the drive anymore. Too bad!
I have lived here for six years and never went here until a co worker picked me up a burrito last week. Ive been back three times. Not only is your food amazing, the cleanliness and integrity of that food truck is incredible. Thank you from the guy with the big black hat and backpack. I will return weekly.
Stopped in to Luz on our trip from Ontario. Everything was fresh and delicious. The fish tacos are an absolute must!
Fish tacos were a solid portion; very tasty.
Just had the best quesadillas!!!! Friendly service and nice and quick and clean. Stop by you won t regret it. Colleen
Delicious tacos. I had the Poblano corn cheese dip and tortilla chips, Rajas con Crema, Pastor & Papas con Chorizo .. all yum!!!
Quality slipping... have been coming here for almost 2 years, and have been disappointed the last 3 visits including on my most recent visit: the carnitas tastes like they were prepared 3 days ago and had a bunch of -out-of-the-can tasting avocado sauce on top (on carnitas?). The fish tacos were luke-warm and batter tasted old - almost like it was all just reheated in the microwave. All the tortillas tasted stale. The fish tacos were also drowning in so much sauce you couldnt taste anything but the sauce. I really liked this place in the past but the quality control and love in the kitchen has definitely slid a lot lately. It is now at best a mediocre taco, which you might enjoy after a night of 8+ beers.. :(
The fish tacos were excellent! Sauces and topping were fresh and tasty. Ordering online was easy and you can really customize the toppings to your liking.
Best tacos ever
Yummy mmmmmm
As a Mexican food LOVER and a vegetarian, I am officially obsessed with Luz Tacos. The cauliflower taco was the best taco Ive ever had in my life and the poblano pepper dip is sooo good. Were saving the burrito for lunch tomorrow because were full but we are drooling over how good dinner was tonight.
Their food is incredible but dont get extra spicy... It took a few hours to recover from that face-melting experience. Stopped by for lunch on my way to Vancouver from Whistler and ordered some asada tacos. I should have taken a hint when I was asked how hot? I responded hot, and then was asked extra spicy? to which I answered sure? I love spicy food after all. This was my mistake. The tacos were INCREDIBLE. Authentic ingredients, well cooked meat, bursting with flavor. Had a strong kick to it. Then as I finished 1 taco, the heat hit me all at once... I began to cry, desperately searching for a way to cool my mouth. My lips were burning... and I still had 2 tacos left. I braved only one more before I decided I couldnt go on with this meal. All through this agony still loving this little food trucks food! I brought the final taco home to my friend so that he could share the experience. Ill be back to Luz whenever the opportunity presents itself, but Ill be getting a medium heat at best.
The tacos are the tastiest I have tried in all of British Columbia, they are huge and very delicious, the prices seem to be a bit high but they are well worth it when you see the portions that the dishes have, friendly staff and they speak Spanish and English.
Great place to eat and have a delicious beer
Really great tacos! The veggie one was my favorite! Recommend stopping by
The food is incredible! The service is 11/10, Hector is the best! Ps prepare yourself, the extra hot is hotter than you think!
