Traditional rooms in a classic roadside option featuring mountain views, plus free WiFi & parking.
We had such a lovely stay at this charming little motel! My partner and I were thoroughly impressed from the moment we arrived. The place is newly renovated, and it shows—the rooms were spotless, modern, and felt more like a boutique hotel than a motel. One highlight was the complimentary coffee machine, which was a fantastic touch and started our morning off perfectly. The view from our room was lovely, adding to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere we were looking for. A special thank you to Sadok, the manager, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. He was incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating, even when we decided to extend our stay. He ensured we got the perfect room, and we couldn’t have been happier with his attention to detail. The motel is in a great location, giving us easy access to explore the town, yet it was so quiet and serene when we returned to unwind. Overall, this was more than just a stay—it felt like a mini retreat. If you’re looking for a place that’s clean, comfortable, and managed with care, this is it. We’ll absolutely be back on our next trip!
Stayed here in September. The room was clean, great location. The bed was old and low to the ground it was worn out if you rolled to the middle of the bed it had a low spot in it . It had a strange set up with a stove top with a kitchen sink. All built in one. The was no coffee maker in the room. It had a kettle and instant coffee pouches.in the main office it had a fancy nescafe machine and the breakfast was chocolate cookies and muffins. I'll spend my money else where next time.
Exemplary service from the moment you arrive. Such friendly, helpful people who can't do enough for you. Beautiful clean room and amazing free coffee and snacks in the guest waiting area. By far the best we have come across in our travels so far. Thank you from Down Under. 💙
You can’t beat this place for the price. Rooms and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Beds were great after a long travel day. Free off street parking was excellent, and the location was central enough you could leave the car behind and just walk around. Many of the places we wanted to visit were less than a ten minute drive away, and it was quick on and off the highway. Definitely would recommend!
We stayed with August Jack over the September long weekend. This was our second visit, the last time was about 3 years ago. There have been many good upgrades and maintenance done. The front desk was great service. We had a king kitchenette suite. It was comfortable and clean. The bed was amazing! And the location is very convenient. The only suggestion I would have is more furniture in the suites. We only had one chair in the room. Outside of that, we had to sit on the bed. Thank you, we'll be back 😊
We found the rooms very clean, and they had comfortable beds. The kitchen facility in the room was fine - although if you want morning coffee you have to get it from the main office area. The owner was very friendly and very eager to ensure our stay was perfect.
Stayed at August Jack for a long weekend and it was absolutely perfect! Quick walk to restaurants and grocery downtown. Close to all the town trails. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It was nice to have a parking lot in the back of the building too. In-room kettle made getting up early easier, and loved the views of The Chief from the window. Will definitely stay here again!
Really enjoyed this hotel. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. Has a great outdoor area, and a playground located across the ally from the hotel. Only negative was not having in room coffee, however they do have a Cappacino service in the lobby that is available at 8am. Nice little coffee and donut shop across the street that opens at 7.
Great inexpensive place to stay in Squamish! Rooms were very clean and the staff were friendly.
The hotel has a great location and plenty of parking spaces. The rooms are large, nice, clean and newly renovated The staff is very friendly and helpful I had problems with the car hire and a hotel employee named Sadok helped me a lot. Special thanks to Sadok. When I come back to Squamish I will only stay here again in August Jack THANK YOU Rooms: Large, clean and cosy Nearby activities: Yacht club, Hike Safety: Everything quickly accessible Walkability: Alles schnell erreichbar
Very nice staff, bed, excellent lobby coffee, downtown but surrounded by quiet parks, somewhat dated but clean and well cared for. Walkability: Short walk to good cafes and grocery.
Loved this spot central, down town Squamish. So affordable, clean, comfy, large room. Safe parking with our bikes.
This motel has plenty of parking. The rooms are unfortunately directly onto the road so there was some noise from passing traffic. Convenient for the restaurant etc in Squamish
Good Hotel and friendly staff
Over priced for the room. Stove in the kitchen is no good. Cracked a cup while doing dishes that is worth no more then 10$ and they are trying to keep my 150$ deposit for the cup.... First time Ive ever posted a review and stayed in alot of hotels for work. Front desk lady was nice though.
I stay here everytime I come to squamish and really love the staff, location rooms and price is ok too!
A great hotel and professional in everything. Like the receptionist named Sadok was great. We will be back many more times.
All of the staff members were very kind and responded to all inquiries very kindly. The morning muffins & cookies and coffee service was also excellent. I would definitely like to take advantage of the next opportunity.
We came to Canada from Japan for the first time and stayed in Squamish. Although I can hardly communicate in English, the staff were very kind and polite. It was able to understand my intentions in words, and I was able to exchange information using a translation app on my smartphone. Also, the Japanese-speaking staff helped me with things like schedule changes and payments, which was helpful. When I asked about how to take a taxi, how to make a reservation, how to ride a bus, how to pay, and other details, I was glad that they answered patiently. I would like to use it the next time I visit this place, and if I ever come to Japan, I would like to do what I can. thank you very much.
Absolutey awesome stay , staff were formerly and helpful . The place is super modern inside and out ell upgraded . Very clean and comfortable. Will be back to stay again ! Thanks
Lovely bright room and in an excellent location. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating Nearby activities: Parks Safety: Very quiet Walkability: Close to downtown and parks
The view from the window was beautiful, straight onto a mountain. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and OK. They are also very spacious, so you have enough space.
Staff were very helpful with grtting my room ready when I arrived and showed me where to park.
First time visiting Squamish. Very happy with our 3 night stay at August Jack. Ample parking at the back. Staff were all very friendly and helpful from time of booking , to check out. Rooms were large and very clean. Great fridge in the kitchenette. Rooms: Recently renovated large rooms. 2 comfy queen beds. Great kitchenette. Very clean and comfy. Great shower and renovated bathroom. Walkability: Great location in Squamish. Right across the street from the park. Can easily walk to a variety of restaurants and coffee shop and deli. Food and drinks: Coffee is available in the main office , 8am or later. No coffee machines in the individual rooms. Coffee shop right across the street opens at 7am.
My daughter and I came to Squamish for a mom daughter getaway and were so pleased with this hotel choice! It was right in the middle of the action for Saturdays farmers market, but not loud at night! We were able to walk everywhere; there was a playground right next to the parking and the mural walk and market also. The service at the front desk was exceptional and very welcoming. The rooms were tidy and comfortable! We will definitely be back. Thanks for the awesome staycation! We ve told our friends too
This is somewhat a rip-off
Great renovated hotel right in the heart of Squamish! Clean, helpful staff and has green space and parks/ playgrounds on all sides! Wonderful stay for our family while passing through the area.
What a great place to stay! This was my first trip to Squamish and luckily I booked here. The staff, service, location are amazing. Thank you for being part of the nice experience Noteworthy details: Friendly staff and convenient location
Hard to beat in terms of friendliness in service! Helpful, courteous, helpful! Tippippi Rooms: Rooms are great, everything looks renovated.
Fire alarm battery kept going off at 11;30pm because the battery was low. We tried calling the front desk as the gentleman working, Sadok, said he would be there until 12am. We walked to the office and no one was there. The alarm continued to go off for 2 hours until we were able to google the alarm model and figure out how to silence it for 12 hours. Very annoyed that after a long day of travel we had a terrible sleep and with a baby and kid too. The only saving grace was Angela at the desk the next morning who was very hospitable and kind. She said she would help us get compensation for it and apologized profusely for the incident. Other than that, the inn was clean and in a good location.
Just stayed this past weekend, absolutely perfect location, room was clean & spacious, staff was amazingly helpful, beautiful side lot with food trucks, gardens & picnic tables for everyone, a lot of cool shops to browse & restaurants/cafes to eat at in Squamish, if I had any, my suggestion would be to ask for a room that faces the memorial, the front ones are a little close to the sidewalk for privacy, cant wait to go back once their mural on the front of the building is completed. Thank you so much A.J!
Friendly staff. Epic location.
Top notch service by Zhian, front desk manager. Reasonable room size and AC is fully operational unlike some of the fancier hotels in Whistler
Super cozy and cute place. Theres a fridge, stove, and microwave, and theres even dishes and silverware for a fully stocked kitchenette. Smack dabble in the middle of all the action this place is perfect.
Good hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. The location is perfect for exploring Squamish downtown.
Wonderful helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms & convenient location, Highly recommend August Jacks. Thanks Rooms: Clean & roomy Walkability: Accessibility to restaurants & shopping
Comfy bed, no issues with noise, convenient location . I would recommend!
We went there this weekend with my family. From checking in, all the way to checkout, it was a great experience all together. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect if you are looking into being walking distance from different stores downtown. The facility was VERY clean, room was a perfect size with everything we needed for the stay, with an amazing view on the mountains. Would definitely recommend if you are staying in Squamish. We will definitely be back.
Rundown motel, but good location and good service. Rooms are clean, shower works good.
Lights didnt work and I had a reservation that I could have enacted for 160$ and he said that would be the price but charged me 180.
Had a great stay. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. Great location.
Location is good. Friendly service Rooms: Very clean, comfortable Rooms : 5/5 |
My recent stay at August Jack Motor Inn surpassed all expectations. From a seamless check-in to a well-appointed and spotlessly clean room, the attention to detail was exceptional. The staffs warmth and responsiveness added to the overall positive experience. The hotels convenient location, delectable dining options, and tranquil ambiance make it a standout choice. I highly recommend August Jack Motor Inn for an unforgettable stay in Squamish.
Had a really great experience here! No issues, rooms are pretty basic but we didn t need anything more! Definitely recommend staying here! Awesome location as well! We had food at the copper coil across the street as well! It was AMAZING!
Highly recommend this place. Good service by Zhian. Decent room for its affordable price. Really enjoyed the stay here. Kudos! Rooms: Room was clean and comfortable Nearby activities: Gandola view and many more Walkability: Good walkability for great view Food and drinks: Coffee and Pastries good.
Bed bugs!! Ack!!! We visited on Feb 3, 2024 and got bed bugs in our snowboard gear. We have spent the last week trying to eradicate them. This place looks like a good deal until you have to spend $700 on an exterminator! By the way, if you need an exterminator, Local Group in Vancouver was great! Here is a picture of all our clothes quarantined in plastic bags
TL;DR: Bed bugs discovered, managers defensive attitude deters future patronage :( It makes me sad to write this, but, please save yourself money and do yourself a favor... and stay somewhere else. Despite initial optimism for the recently renovated August Jack Motor Inn, our stay was marred by the presence of bed bugs. Upon discovering the infestation, I promptly contacted the inn, hoping for a swift resolution. Unfortunately, the manager s response was defensive and accusatory. Rather than addressing the issue with empathy and professionalism, he insinuated that I was attempting to scam the hotel. Why would I want to pretend I have bed bugs? Why would I spend $800 on bed bug exterminators to get rid of them? Ive never had to deal with bed bugs and would never ever want anyone to deal with this. His dismissive attitude and refusal to provide any help has left a really sour taste, deterring any desire to return. he also hung up on me on the phone when I was trying to explain what happened While the location initially appealed to us, the presence of bed bugs (ew ew ew), the smell of cigarettes in the room, coupled with poor customer service has dissuaded us from considering August Jack Motor Inn for future stays. Youll end up spending MORE money trying to get rid of bed bugs while trying to stay somewhere affordable . :(
It was a beautiful stay with my family, quiet and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and informative. The location was perfect, right in downtown Squamish. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including a fridge, microwave, kettle, and a kitchenette. Highly recommended.
The hotel was just renovated. Very clean with new appliances. Most of the room photos in the Google Map are outdated, maybe before the hotel renovated. Google Maps should removed these outdated photos. Now they don t have the kitchen inside the room anymore, make the space for the room that already big, bigger. No cigarettes smell anywhere in the hotel, at least in the area we passed by. The service is very good, with free cookies and Nespresso coffee in the hotel lobby. Location is very strategic with ample free parking, close to the best restaurants and cafes.
Very good stay, clean simple room, comfortable, warm and dry. Internet and TV worked great. We had a kitchenette worked perfectly for our Christmas dinner! Staff very friendly and so helpful and caring. The location was perfect right on the strip. If you want fancy with pools and lounge etc. Go else where and spend more for not much more. This was located on the strip everything was a short walk away. As long as its affordable, comfortable and clean ill keep returning. It was great. Thanks!
Friendly staff and clean comfortable room
Lovely rooms, nice and clean, right in the centre of Squamish. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy with very thick pillows - almost too thick if you sleep on your back, but other than that fantastic!
Comfortable, quiet motel in Squamish. Friendly staff. Great option for exploring the area and getting up to Whistler.
The Motel is dated but the room sizes are large and the fact it is surrounded by parks makes it very quiet. Also there are no bars or clubs on the premises, which is great. Some of the surrounding hotels are very noisy due to clubs or bars that are open till late. The staff are very kind and very attentive. My preferred Motel when I stay in Squamish.
This has been a good experience. Even though the rooms were dated, never have I ever seen such cleanliness.... ever. Very nice service. Polite staff. Might visit again. Rooms : 4/5
Though the outlook of the building is not appealing but the room inside is clean and spacious with full amenities including fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer etc Plus the location is pretty close to Center with many restaurants and shops along side. Rooms
Worst hotel of my life! First off, the rooms are dirty, with dirty dishes in the sink, very dated and have a strong disturbing smell. The owner of the hotel would not cancel our reservation even though it is written that we can cancel with a cancellation fee. I do not recommend anyone to stay there! One star is even being generous!
The staff , Sarah and Alex were absolutely amazing and caring . They went out of their way to make my stay a great one. This cute motor inn is a bit dated ,however, its clean, comfortable its accessible to many store and restaurants within walking distance. The room I had was equipped with a kitchen and view is beautiful. This motel has laundry facilities Great stay thanks so much ! Im looking forward to going back.
Inexpensive. There is a large room with comfortable bed. Old motel with old smell, but otherwise clean. Good place to stay the night. Rooms
10 nights stay here!
Stayed here for 2 weeks while in town for work. The rooms are dated but are very clean and is everything that I needed. The room had a kitchenette with 2 stove elements, sink, microwave, full size fridge, coffee maker, toaster as well as utensils, pot, pan. It s a basic set up but works to make small meals instead of having to eat out all the time. The rooms are also very spacious. Only downside I noticed was noise seemed to travel very easily, it wasn t very busy while I was here but could still hear lots. All in all I would stay here next time.
Rooms were cheap and relatively clean (wouldnt say spotless) staff friendly but not the happiest. Location was useful and room somewhat quiet.
No complaints at all here. Perfect location downtown squamish, nice view of the chief, roomy rooms with kitchenette (not 100% about all of them having one). Price is hard to beat, I was concerned about the bad reviews from the past but this place definitely exceeded my expectations. Would for sure stay again next time Im in and around Squamish.
Clean and well maintained with all amenities
Solid motel in a great downtown location. Super easy to walk everywhere
Best customer service Ive ever recieved at any hotel. Saduk was very kind, welcoming, and helpful. Room was simple, clean. View from our, facing the Chief was breathtaking.
Nice and adorable
Nice place
Booked last minute and the service was amazing. Front desk was really understanding and the location is beautiful. Thank you!
We skipped Seattle for the Memorial Day weekend, decided to check out Squamish. We stayed 3 nights at August Motor Inn. We only have positive comments. Our stay was fantastic! Very very clean, everything we needed was in the room. Very comfortable bed, great pillows, clean dishes, hairdryer, toiletries, and a quiet night. Hed restful 3 nights we were ready to hike and explore in the morning. The location is perfect too. To top it all off the customer service is as good as Amazon or Chase Bank. Definitely returning to August Jack Motor in. Thanks to all the staff we had a great stay!!
Location is fantastic. Service was even better. I didnt catch a name but the gentleman at the front who we dealt with was awesome. Room was a good size too. No complaints.
Clean, friendly staff, nicely renovated and right downtown. What more do you want?
Comfortable motel, recently renovated, in the heart of downtown Squamish surrounded by parks and restaurants, steps to waterfront with the chief mountain view. Couldnt ask for anything better, staff were amazing and accomodating.
Perfect location! On the main avenue of Squamish. Just walk outside of the hotel, and you can find eateries, shops, a park, and hiking trails.
Had a wonderful stay with my family. As a Hospitality Management Professional I really appreciate Saduk he is one of the best Hospitality Professional I have met. He should be recognized. Also the housekeeping team appreciate all your work guys. They should get more recognition for their outstanding job. Rooms: The real art of the housekeeping team. We appreciate all your work guys.
A budget hotel with a good value.
We had a great stay. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, rooms were very clean.
Walkability: On the downtown strip. Cant get a much better spot Rooms
Nice clean motor inn, I will take clean over fancy any day! Walkability: Beautiful location. Rooms : 4/5 |
Basically a budget motel, but our room was clean, beds comfortable, wifi worked perfectly, plenty of free parking, super convenient. No meals, but several good restaurants are 1 block away. A playground is behind the place, and a park across the street. We could see the Chief from our room, and walk about 5 blocks to the lovely Estuary trail.
August Jack was a great place to stop in our exploration of Squamish and Whistler. The standard rooms were clean and recently renovated. The staff were very attentive and helpful. A great value for a tourist town.
What a pleasant surprise have been to Squamish a number of times but never stayed here. Really glad it worked out prices were good, rooms are not exactly super modern but comfortable and clean and spacious, so no complaints! Service from the front desk was super great, very friendly and helpful as was all of the staff we encountered. Location is superb for Squamish, close to everything. Great experience and will be coming back!
August Jack was the best choice for squarmish. The bed and accommodations are very comfortable and clean. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Would stay again. Walkability: Can walk to all squarmish main town Food and drinks: All of downtown is at your door step.
Very nice quiet place opened my curtias to a beautiful sight of the snowcvered mountains just beautiful
We only stayed one night but had a great experience! The staff were extremely friendly and even upgraded our room to one of their freshly renovated rooms! They were even able to provide us a crib. Will definitely stay again if were in town!
The rooms are very large and well equipped with comfortable beds. Everything is properly cleaned and they offer complimentary coffee and some nice pastries in the mornings. Id say it is the best bang for your buck in the Squamish area.
Stayed here for a night after a few nights hiking and camping. Considering the price, it was more than we could have hoped for. The beds were very comfy, there was a huge TV, kitchenette, and awesome views of the Chief. The staff were super friendly, and the coffee machine in the lobby was an added bonus! Would definitely recommend!
Super friendly welcome and service. Price/performance is right.
Ill be back.
Fantastic staff and services. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful, I love the coffee and little breakfast serving in the lounge area which is rare in another places. Rooms are clean and comfortable with good supplies. I couldn t have a better view from my window in any other stay in this price. Nice and wide parking, parks nearby for walk and is pet friendly. Its value for money. I will book it for my next stay also. Thanks August Jack for making my trip so amazing.
Updated rooms. Spotlessly clean Kitchenette. Looks like new mini fridge, and new microwave. Cabinetry looks new, or near new. Floors look great, but not carpet, so bring socks, or slippers. No smell that other reviewers have mentioned. Walls are thin, so you can hear next door (the room I was in). We complained to the manager, about screaming people in the next suite, (early in morning) and the manager dealt with them. He even gave us an extended check out, with no extra charge. Nice fancy expresso machine in lobby. Old building, but very clean. Windows look recently replaced with double pane. Large TVs. No hesitation in going back if in town. Off street free parking.
Fantastic service from the employees. If you need something they will do their best to accommodate you.
Nice manager and good service
It is a family run business that takes there customers requests and interests to heart. All staff was extremely kind and courteous, as well as helpfull and knowledgeable to there surroundings to give the best recommendations and service possible. I will be happily staying at this establishment again apon my return to Squamish BC
Stay away. This hotel needs a serious upgrade, overall.Way too much overpriced.Never again.
Friendly staff, clean room, great location!
Just runaway. Sleep in your car or on a park bench. Enter a room which you do not want to touch anything. The rooms are very outdated. Huge water stains on the bathroom ceiling. You are dealing with a motor inn which uses old school registration system from the 1970s.
Highly recommended
The rooms are dated and need upgrading. The staff can be rude and hard to deal with. The location is right off the street and can be loud when trying to sleep. We had agreed on price of 150 per night. When I went to pay my bill it cost me 210 per night. Will never stay here again and will not recommend to friends. Would give zero stars if possible.
We checked into the room, person at the desk was very pleasant. We went to our room just long enough to leave our luggage there. The hotel is very old but it did look clean enough. We left the room and went for a hike, after we return from a long hike we went back to the room. We just entered the room and sat down and noticed a bug crawling on one of the beds. We caught the bug to examine it and found it was definitely a bed bug. We gathered all our belongings and left the room immediately. The lady at the counter seems surprised and she was very helpful and refunded us our money. We then proceeded to remove all of our clothing from our luggage to inspect it so we didnt take any of the bugs home with us. We then tried to find another hotel room in town, which we found there were not any available. The closest we found was Vancouver so we continued on our way that night to Vancouver. Do not stay at this hotel unless you plan on taking bed bugs home with you. Unless they completely gut and renovate this hotel I strongly suggest to just stay away.
Shabby chic.
Checked in, found a bed bug on the bed, got a refund and left.
This hotel removed an esteemed elder out of their establishment in order to make more money during a festival weekend. They benefit from the use of the name of a legendary S wx wú7mesh elder and yet kick out Indigenous folks with while they made a prior agreement for long term stay (still over 100$ a night). They know this was emergency shelter for him and still said he must pay double or get out. This kind of treatment can not be tolerated. We are having this investigated and dealt with on a higher level, but for now people do not stay at this hotel. Especially if you are from Samahquam. They don t rest us well either.
The room was super clean, staffs were super friendly, it is an old building but you could feel a greats of 70s, and you could see how much afford the management put on that building to keep it clean and run. The taste like a vintage wine. Love the views and city. I definitely recommend people to stay there
nice rooms quiet for the location great service and a good place to stay if your planning a trip to whistler for a day or two.
Dont think they vacuumed the room. Chips on the floor and we didnt have any. Car back up to your room and then start them in the morning and let them run. Love the smell of exhaust at 6am.
Super friendly, great customer service, great location. Old School Squamish how it should be. Rooms
Nice place to stay, spacious and clean rooms. Friendly staff at the reception, especially Najmine!
Nadjim was very helpful and also the most kind and nice. She works so hard at nighttime but i am glad she is reliable. What a superstar. Five gold stars for her!
Good value Motel. Old building but well maintained. Rooms are larger and some have a small kitchen. Located downtown close to shops and restaurants.
Decent
1 star motel from the 1970s. Only thing new in the rooms is the mini fridge and TV lol. Wifi gaps out every 5 mins.
Friendly staff clean and great place to stay!
Good well located motel in Squamish BC. Good well appointed quiet rooms with on site laundry. We stayed twice on our trip, as a measure of approval.
Room Heaters are not working properly.
Clean & friendly staff makes for a good stay
Always have a room when we need wen we travel back and forth to the valley
Rude owner
TERRIBLE!!! WE FORGOT A COUPLE OF GARMENTS AND THEY PUT THEM IN THE GARBAGE EVEN THOUGH I CALLED THEM THE DAY AFTER.
PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!This should not even be given even 1 star. Its the most terrible place weve stayed. My friends and I just checked out. Since its a long weekend and due to change of plans, this was the only place available for us. Theres a heatwave and we werent informed that theres no AC in this place. And its summer for Gods sake! They should have atleast provided a fan for the room. When we asked for a fan, the lady told us they dont have anymore. Without even apologizing for the inconvenience. We are 5 in the room. And the 2 of us had to sleep in the car coz its cooler outside than in the room. The next day, we called while we were outside asking to provide us a fan. They were complaining because we only booked for persons when we are actually 5 in the room. We are willing to pay for the 5th person as long as they provide us a fan and an extra bed. When we got back in our room, we found this small fan. Didnt help at all with the heat in the room. They know at firat that 4 people are gonna stay in that inferno room but they only provided 2 towels! I mean seriously?!!??!!Even with the toilet paper. When we checked out today, the lady was saying we have to pay for the 5th person for $10/ night. And when we told her about our complains, she even had the guts to tell us, Thats your problem! Isnt it supposed to be theirs coz they are the owners. THEY ARE SO RUDE!!!!!!
Clean, good location but my rooms air conditioning was not effective
Throwback to the 90s for sure. The family that owns it is nice and helpful. Its super convenient, on the strip with lots of options a short walk away
Its older and doesnt have air conditioning, but other than that it was pretty good. No complaints for a one night stay.
Terrible! Werent asked if we smoked. Got told we had to move to the parking lot. Were not smoking near doorways. Good thing we brought lawn chairs! Asked for 2 extra towels because my hubby doesnt like to share. Was Luke asking for another room. No pillow cases on the pillows when the room was turned over to us. The woman was extremely rude! Wont waste my money ever again!
Terrible experience, women owner was rude to my wife, argued to get a couple towels
One of the worst hotels I have ever been. The combination of bad service and how awful the hotel condition is provides a terrible experience as a result. The only positive thing about this place is that is cheap.
Yes was quite a nice place . Nice views . Nice lady on the front desk . Expensive but for this time of year not bad . Room was very surprisingly decent , warm welcoming . No air con if its very hot but a fan . I would stay here again . Thank you , Mashi cho . Decho resident NWT .
Didnt look like much outside but a nice room. Enjoyed not having a big , thick , hot quilt.
The room was nice. Had nice tiling in the entrance and on one wall. It was rated a 2 Star Inn but Ive stayed in 3 star inns that were equally nice. Everything was great, EXCEPT... The lady at the front desk was pretty cranky. She eyed me up and down when I asked for a room. Thats fine, I wouldnt base rating on that alone... I give a 2 Star because the next day, I go to checkout and she says you know if you dont have your receipt you dont get your money back (for my deposit). Which, Ive stayed in places before and never heard of that so I replied no I didnt know that. I was never told that. Luckily there was someone else there, I think her husband, and he was very friendly. I offered to go back to my room to search the trash for my receipt, but the husband argued a couple things with her, and magically she pulls out their copy of the receipt. That she had all along. Thats outrageous. As if she didnt remember me from 15 hours earlier. Basically, she was trying to see if she can rob 100 dollars from me. I wonder if shes done this to people before. The room was nice, and a pretty good price, but there was a couple other spots that seemed nicer, were higher rated AND cheaper, within a couple blocks. They were booked up though. I honestly would have given this place a 5 star rating if the woman didnt pretend to not have the receipt and literally try steal my money. Pathetic behaviour by who I assume is the owner. The husband was chill.
Rooms werent what they show on their website, they put us In a room where they store other peoples food TV didnt work, we were afraid to touch anything, maid was rude, the Manger was lazy, wasnt happy when I asked for help. If I could rate place any lower I would.
The owner is very rude and a racist. According to the price of the room, the quality and service was very poor. Rooms were stinking.
Comfortable place to sleep, it even had a kitchenette and fridge. The place looks sketchy inside and some electric outlets in my room were so loose that they couldnt hold a phone charger for even a second. Pricey for what it is and could use some maintenance. I wouldnt really stay here again or recommend it to my friends and family.
Great accommodation and friendly management
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. The owner is disrespectful and rude. If I could give this place less than a 1 , I oqouls ...If you value your sanity or your health, find other accomodations. Rooms
Rooms are neat and clean. Beds are comfortable while sleeping they cause on pain in back. Price is also good but will be price in winter seasons
Comfy and basic. Loved it.
clean and reasonable
This is a really old place a 1 - 2 star hotel at best. I think they are waiting for a development offer because they dont really do anything to make it better
Comfy beds, reasonable prices and very hospitable! Would definitely stay here again!
Close to shopping n food
I have not even slept in it yet and I am not impressed the lady in the front was rude upd the price on us 40 dollars each room which was 3 total rooms and the floors were stained and smelled of musk
The rooms are reasonable comfortable, but lacking in few things that should not be overlooked. Opened bottles of the shampoo. soap and the mouthwash. The kitchenette was not cleaned. The service at the reception was warm and friendly. Very difficult and hard to overlooked. Hopefully next time it will be better for the next guest. It will not be us.
Not nice.
Very good service.. Will definitely be here again.. Plus very clean rooms at a great price and great view outside
Brutal. Booked for 2 of us. Even got confirmation for 2. When we got there, I was told I only booked for 1 and it would be extra for 2. Total scam! Place was also sketchy. The towel rack fell apart into pices and got a rash from the bed covers. Would not stay here again.
Great place to stay but the parking lot was kinda narrow and people Park between two lines :(((
Very clean and cozy place to stay. It is a family run business, which reflects the amazing service. Definitely recommend if you are stopping by squamish
This hotel was actually pretty comfortable and the bathrooms were pretty clean! The rates were decent! Definitely recommend!
Couldn t be happier with the staff and the room is perfect, Quiet clean updated and affordable.
stayed June 10; clean comfortable and quiet. No breakfast included. Would stay again.
We got the rooms with the slide doors exit to side grassed area which was nice for kids. Its a low budget place but felt safe clean and cozy.
The room is spacious. There is a kitchen. Amenities are also better than Hotel Squamish! However, security is questionable. Thats a bit of a negative point. However, the people at the front desk were kind and nice
Excellent
Nice clean rooms, nice kitchenette. Compares better than the states hotels and motels.
motorcycle trip the reception is good. the rooms were large, clean with a kitchenette, the comfortable bed only problem an old carpet which smelled like dogs .. I appreciated the fact that I could park my motorbike in a safe place
Service was very good Room with kitchenette was perfect Close of everything in town BUT NO A/C AND NO FAN IT BECOMES A REAL OVEN BY HOT DAY
Dirty and no AC
Clean rooms, close to amenities. No breakfast, no ac. This is specially important to know in the summer if you are staying here. The 2nd floor room gets extremely muggy/warm. No airflow. So keep that in mind.
It was a place to stay after a long day of driving. A little run down and no ac. I would stay here again as it wasnt overly price and for just a place to sleep the bed arent too bad.
The room was dirty and the bed linen had blood stains. I found the staff rude and dismissive. I would not stay here again. I would splurge and stay at the Sandman if it s an option. I paid $130 per night and was charged $10 extra dollars when my husband joined me for the last night.
No air conditioning. It was really hard to sleep in a muggy room with no airflow.
No thank you. Easily the worst smelling expensive hotel Ive ever stayed in. Would not recommend. Stay anywhere else
He made it sound like he had to pick each piece of fur from the quilt. Should it not be washed anyways. Its not like we were there days, only the night probably less then 12 hours. Only 1 of my dogs shed & its very little because we brush him all the time. Why allow animals then ffs... Also there werent any forks lots of spoons a few knifes one plate and the bathroom sink plugged , not very clean....
Room was not cleaned. Dog hair on the carpet. Only 2 stars because the sheets were clean
Would not recommend to anyone. Woke up to dozens of ants in our bed. No refund, no apology. Super dissapointed.
Nice clean rooms
Very old fashioned looking, but clean and quiet and good location.
Peacefully clean.
Unlocked entrances to hallways. Homeless guy sleeping in the hallway one morning. Asked for an extra blanket and was told they only have 4... Most rooms are directly on the sidewalk. Coin laundry was unclean. Not worth saving a buck on
I found the Manager or owner rude
Room is clean, but Im surprise this hotel dont have air conditioning unit.
Cheap & dirty...
Okay place with nice staff. Easy to find.
Great place, the owner is the sweetest lady, ever!
Very pleasant stay!
My second time staying at this place. Relatively good for the location and price except the hairdryer did not work.
Clean rooms with kitchen in a central location.
Dated but the price was ok
Poor. No air conditioning. No breakfast. Wifi random. Dishwashing reduced to few things.
Clean and location is very nice.
Welcoming place alittle on the lived in side but comfortable and friendly, great views
Good ...nice hotel and services
Great staff, quiet place, moderate to high quality rooms. Mattress was firm, had everything I needed including a nice relaxing bath. Thank you!
I dont usually stay in motels but there wasnt a hotel in squamish at all. I actually liked it I may even stay again because the price is great. Also Dwayne Johnson stayed there surfing the movie the rundown.
Lovely little Inn. Quiet and friendly staff. Clean and spacious rooms. Nice decor.
Drop ceilings in the Bathrooms, can anyone say black mould??? seriously I think this place is due for a reno.
Go here first! Model citizens running the show. Stayed for a few days and it was lovely. Especially cool being across the street from the marina . If youre staying in squamish, consider the August jack motor Inn.
it was not very nest/tidy
very dated, although they are doing renos at this writing, but bed was comfy, fairly quiet and the price was right. Good for an overnight.
Rooms were not bad, outside... Not so much
Crappy.. hot as hell the air conditioner didnt work. Never again!
If its good enough for The Rock then its good enough for me. Good service comfortable beds and the price point cant really argue with that. I enjoyed my stay.
What a craphole! Booked online sight unseen, and when we drove up, the place looked so crappy. The lower floor rooms are right on the street, with tenants sitting hanging out, smoking this a place hasnt been washed since the 79s, or painted or redecorated I tried to cancel the booking after seeing how crappy the joint was. They said sure, the cancellation fee is your whole nights stay. We decided to stay, reluctantky. The room wasnt clean, the previous occupants groceries were still in the fridge, spoiling. No air conditioning, either. The thermostat has stop turning off the heat written on it in sharpie. If you can choose to stay elsewhere, do.
It was too expensive 270 for 2 nights. The pillows were very nice though
mostly our experience was good, We found the young man at the front desk came across a little rude, but in his defence it was a busy weekend, .. the room was nice but very hot a night and had no A/C and couldnt open the sliding door as it opens onto the street, also found some cleaning issues
The lady at the desk was very nice the rooms didnt have a.c. tho sorta dirty carpets hut bathroom was clean and shower head was the shiz
Its very good
Looks shifty from the outside, but very nice, clean room.
Located at centeal downtown Squamish. Dont expect too much from this motel since the motel is pretty aged. Room condition is a bit lower than average.
The building is a little weathered but the rooms are reasonably clean. The beds are comfortable enough. The room did not have air conditioning which was fine but it would have been nice to at least have a fan to blow cool air into the room at night. It does have heat so Im sure the room is fine in the winter.
Room was ok, front desk clerk was rude changing the price upon arrival.
Pleasant enough. Nothing special. Get what you pay for. But, all good.
Friendly staff, cozy downtown motel
Nice warm room for cold nights.
Blatantly crappy! If you were to go over all the reviews on this board for this hotel, you will find one of the words frequently used - crappy. That was my experience as well - blatantly crappy, and it mostly relates to the customer service I received. To date, this is the only negative review I have shared on this board. Choose a better hotel at Squamish and save yourself some headache!
Oldschool motel located in the heart of Squamish! It is a good choice for short stays like a weekend visit.
