I have eaten at Tacofino in Tofino and in Squamish. I was a bit disappointed with the food in Squamish, and I never found the avocado that was supposed to be in my Burrito. Staff was friendly, but I wont be going back again.

Avii was my cashier and he did a great job at serving me the food I needed and it was delicious. The atmosphere was great and customer service excellent

I was hoping for the same vibrant atmosphere as other Tacofinos, but this location felt a bit sterile. The menu was also a bit limited, especially if youre looking for vegan or vegetarian options. Many items were heavily battered, which didn t taste as fresh as I d hoped. We ended up heading over to Sunny Chibas instead.

The hastings one is amazing no complaints, but everytime Ive tried ordering delivery 3 times from here and each time my meal is gonna take an hour n 20 mins for 3 tacos... or it says delivery may not be available after Ive ordered delivery... Im just curious why offer delivery options when it clearly isnt working..

Tempeh Burrito is awesome!

Okay love the food and will keep coming back regardless but disappointed the last time I ordered over the phone. I arrived and (an error on my part) waited in the online pick up area. I did say my name and ask if my order was ready after 20 minutes of waiting I asked again and turns out my food had been sitting at the front getting cold because I ordered over the phone not online. Cold burritos aren t quite as good as hot ones, even the delicious Tacofino ones! Parking: Huge lot. Free parking for 2 hours.

Got really bad food poisoning from there about a month ago. Several of my friends told similar stories. I used to love this place on the island and in the city but seems this location has slid down hill. Check out reddit. Good luck!

Wonderful vegan options here - the tempeh burrito is so so so good! Kind and friendly service and our pups enjoyed the outdoor seating. Big fans!

Ive eaten at Michelin-starred restaurants all over the world, and I love tacos. If youre looking for a solid burrito or taco at a reasonable price, I can think of few places better than Tacofino. This place is a regular stop in my rotation any time Im in the area, and its somewhere that I recommend to literally anyone whos passing through Squamish.

Loved it. Fresh, nice stuff. Good service. Patio or dining in. Good menu selection.

My friend raved about this place, specifically how the nachos were the best nachos they had ever had. So I decided to try it out and brought that friend along. We ordered nachos, which comes with roasted jalapeños, cheddar, monterey jack, feta, salsa fresca, chipotle crema ($21) and added chilorio aka shredded pork (+$5) and a side bowl of cheese sauce ($5.59). We also ordered two margaritas. Our total including a 10% tip was $71.23!!? We only bought three things!! So the prices are outrageous for starters. Not to mention, how is cheese sauce more expensive than adding a meat and the cheese sauce didn t even taste like cheese? And the meat wasn t evenly spread around the chips, it was just plopped in random chunks. Also the portion of the chips was extremely small and my friend said the last few times they went, it was a monsterous amount of nachos and less stingy on the toppings. Upon waiting for our food I couldn t help but notice the lack of colour and decor in the place. It was very sterile looking and the tiles reminded me of old pools, and the walls reminded me of a butchers kitchen. Compared to other restaurants in Squamish it was very bland and didn t feel very welcoming or part of the community. Not to mention when you walk in, the order area is right there so if there s multiple people, they are lining up outside the door. Have to strain your next to read the menu which is close to the ceiling. Definitely NOT wheelchair accessible at all which is a shame since people in wheelchairs, people with strollers, people who use walkers, are all potential customers too, but not welcomed comfortably in this place with the way the entrance and seating area is. Not even an accessible button to automatically open the door which is shocking since it s a new build. As for customer service, the guy at the till was nice and handed us a dirty crumpled copy of the menu on a printed piece of paper that didn t even include the full menu as he noticed how we were straining to see it. This was also the same person who made our drinks, and couldn t help but notice how they didn t wash their hands after accepting payment from the previous person then handling our cups for our drinks. Could tell they were reading off an instructions sheet for how to make our drinks, which I understand everyone has to start somewhere, but maybe start with sanitization first followed by informing your customers that these drinks are doubles as the menu definitely didn t mention that and damn was it over bearing and strong. Our table got cleared twice by some random girl that took our plate and bowl and then shortly after took our drinks cups. It was a type of ok you re done eating now go so we can fit more people in here type of vibe. Completely unnecessary for that kind of service and better to wait till the person leaves on their own so they don t feel rushed and can sit and chat and enjoy their meal instead of feeling obligated to leave. I could list more things that ruined my experience but this is already the longest review I ve ever written and I m just done haha Just all about bad experience, would never go again, would never recommend. If I could rate this zero I would. Edit to add response to company: you have one small two person table that could occupy a wheelchair, a stroller, or a walker. If it s occupied by anyone, there is no where else that is accessible for any of the above elsewise. You can follow all the building standards and codes but that does not make it accessible.

I m such a Tacofino nut, I lost my mind when I saw the new location coming to Squamish. But I was really disappointed in the menu; I don t like any of the vegetarian options aside from the nachos (which are $20!!!). I appreciate the effort to be accommodating so much, but what I would give for a bean and cheese burrito or something a little simpler or kind of authentic. Everything is so deep fried and greasy with bland flavours. And I don t want to spend $20 every time I m there. Edit: came back to change my review! The revised menu is so much better. Love the bean and cheese soft and crunchy!

I had a cod taco and it was very tasty. I would come back again to try some other tacos. Its causal dining, quick service place.

Overall horrible experience. Super expensive food for small portions. There were seats in the restaurant and I got kicked out while sitting with, and waiting for my friend to finish eating. The reason behind me being kicked out, was because I didn t order anything, and apparently there were going to be people who would order food and need my seat soon. My friend was almost done eating, and there were multiple free tables with no one sitting at them still in the restaurant.

Sunny Chibas still reigns supreme to me in this town! Low ratings were due to slow service during a non-peak time. Over 30 minutes for a burrito. Each order at the table came at different times. Pretty disappointed in this place.

I had the best chicken burrito ever made by tacofino at this location. I stopped for the first time after skiing and was pleasantly surprised at how fast it came, how fresh and how much chicken I got. Well worth the $17.50

We have had meals from here several times since moving to Squamish in November. The staff are always very friendly and the food is excellent! As vegans, we have enjoyed the variety available on the menu and the quality is consistently great. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Squamish.

Tacofino is often number 1 on our list of places to get great vegan food in Squamish! Their burritos are some of the best I ve had. Staff are always so friendly and helpful - it s become a regular in our household!

Best tacos ever

The service is friendly and the tacos are affordable, but it s nothing what it used to be from what I remember in Tofino. The tacos are just meh, the worst part though is the loud mediocre music, I bet they play that for the kitchen staff, tactless if u ask me.

Never disappoints! The tempeh bowl is my new fav. The staff is always super sweet and the burrito combinations are great.

I enjoy the food here, the tempeh burrito is really tasty. I do really wish they would get a couple of high chairs. It s great they have a kids menu but for dine-in my husband and I have to take turns eating because our little one doesn t have a place to sit to eat. Easy fix but have brought it up with staff a few times and no change yet.

Excellent service and great vibes! Also, the prices are quite reasonable. The tacos are delicious! The guacamole is really small and not too fresh, unfortunately (comes from the fridge) . Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible!

We were visiting family in Squamish from the US. They refused to serve us because of that. Apparently they had a soft opening for locals only. Thank you for your response. However, that is not what happened. We were asked whether we were from Squamish at the entrance. After we told the guy that we don t live permanently in Squamish we were refused entry. Two other guys next us however we allowed entry after they confirmed they are from Squamish. They were no friends nor family, they were strangers. Sorry, but that s discriminating and rude.

All I can say is WOW! Easily the best taco/ burrito in the area, if not all of BC. I had the vegan sweet potato taco and the vegetarian eggplant taco. Both were amazing!! The eggplant was truly unique, I highly recommend trying it. The service was incredible and everyone working seemed to be genuinely happy. If you re in Squamish or just passing through, you need to stop here. You will not be disappointed!!

I was super excited for Tacofino to finally hit Squamish and it did not disappoint! The fish taco was amazing Parking: Just off the highway, a perfect spot for a stop off.

This place DID NOT disappoint!! The best tacos and burritos I ve had. Tried the Yam taco and fish taco along side the loaded tater tots and nachos. Amazing! Portions are great and left feeling very full. The staff were so helpful and friendly. I love the energy and the support they give to the community as well. If you re in the area or driving through, give this spot a try, you won t be disappointed.

First time trying out the new Tacofino and i ve always thought if it s not the OG food truck, it s not gonna be as good. I was happily surprised that the food is just as consistent! Fresh salsa and slaw on my crispy cod taco. Amazing flavours on my perfectly crispy chicken taco. Dangerous! I think a portion of my paycheque will be spent here. Thanks Matty for being such a gracious and welcoming host. I can t wait to be a regular. We are so happy Tacofino has opened up in Squamish! We have already been there for lunch; the food was so fresh, crisp, delicious and filling! The non alcoholic coconut mint cocktail I had was so refreshing, on top of that the staff were super upbeat and welcoming! We are stoked to go back soon for some more tacos!

That was a very small burrito for the price. Then again, the expected crowd is going to be different. Not necessarily going to compete with Sunny Chibas. Its like comparing Nesters to Save On. I guess. Anyway. If you want a fancy wrap with a lot of chewey dough, tacofino is the place. The chicken burrito was a good appetizer.

A welcomed addition to Squamish!

I was very excited to hear that Tacofino was coming to Squamish. We went a few nights ago for some dinner during their soft opening and while I enjoyed the food I was able to eat and the service was good, I was disappointed by their lack of gluten free options or substitutes. Sadly there was only one taco I could eat because most things are breading and fried. On top of that to make it gluten free I had to pay $1 per taco to substitute corn tortillas for their standard flour ones, which is pretty expensive considering how inexpensive corn tortillas are. I don t think they should charge for this. I think I ll be going elsewhere for tacos unfortunately.

Nowhere near as good as Luz Tacos located in Geo Cider

So great! You forget how good tacofino is when you don t have access to it all the time. The fish tacos/burritos and crispy chicken are so stinkin tasty. I only wish there was a patio :)

Took one look at the menu prices... $8 for ONE TACO. ONE TACO and half a lime. Let me tell you I was expecting some grade a+ meat served creatively.... This is not what you get. I could have made this taco in my basement with a single pan, great value cheese and a PC optimum pack of meat. Im glad you are making money, but if you are going to be more expensive than Chipotle, do better than Chipotle.

I had the crispy chicken burrito, the portion is really small for the price. in a town with 4 other mexican restaurants its pretty middling. Id still rather get one from Mags (value) or Sunny Chibas(quality).

For those complaining about the price, remember you re not just paying for the food, rent pricing and what you have to pay staff is really expensive these days and in order to do business, cost have to be recovered somehow.. portions may look small, but I had 2 tacos tonight, chicken and cod, and I m full!! The food is tasty, but a 17$ burrito shouldn t leave you still hungry.

My wife and I were stoked tacofino came to Squamish but honestly this place is trash. Luz tacos or sunny chibas blows it out of the water. I ordered two burritos and tots and it came to $40. The burritos are clearly pre-made and heated up when you order. Super expensive and very poor quality food. It s a tourist trap relying on its name for sure. Can t see it lasting. Much better options in town don t waste your money.

Coming from Victoria I was excited we were getting one here. I went at least once a week. Sucks to find that the burrito was literally half the size with the same price and nowhere near the quality. Maybe Victoria was an outlier but it was the same in Tofino a well. Does Squamish really need more overpriced food?

Your food pricing is not up to the quality or portion size. I ordered a burrito bowl that came out being around 25 bucks after típs and the thing was a joke. Decide on what are your strengths as a Mexican fast food restaurant. Do you provide people with regular quality food but offer a big portion? Or do you offer a smaller portion but high quality of food? Also, you need to explain on your menu which foods are vegan, gf, etc.

Garbage compared to other Tacofino. Does not live up to the standard at all. Burrito is smaller than other locations, left feeling hungry which is insane for $17 Tacos were disappointing compared to other Tacofinos. Not a great selection Fish taco was the worst I ve ever had. Burritos were delicious - had the chicken. Feeling stuffed, that poor chicken. Staff was super friendly and fast. I should have tipped them. Lol Atmosphere felt like my favourite laundromat.

Burrito was super weak. Menu is not the play, definitely catered to hippy dippy food eaters. Burger burrito being the only beef burrito is definitely lame lol. What I got for the price point was robbery. If they had gringas I would maybe think about going back, until then boycotted. every other tacofino is better. Have a bliss day

All my friends and I are sick after eating their tacos and nachos. Not sure about the quality of their food.

Ive eaten from various tacofino locations probably a hundred times when I lived in the city, and was excited to hear that they were coming. When I got back in town (was out when they opened), I stopped by on the drive home and had my usual order, 2 kids chicken quesadillas. Service was fast, prices similar or the same as Im used to. The taste was as good as I remembered. Edit: while portion sizes left a bit to be desired previously, more recent experiences have been positive. If this stays a trend, Ill be happy to say 5* across the board. Glad to see feedback was taken in account :)

Ordered the vegan chikun burrito and it was phenomenal. We were a big group for lunch and they took our orders quickly, and brought the food out right away. Excellent vegan and vegetarian options.

Hopefully they get better. I ve always enjoyed tacofino when I visit Tofino, and have a soft spot for the Gastown location, but the food at the Squamish location has been mediocre. The fish burrito was lukewarm, and they accidentally gave me guacamole on the side instead of on the burrito (not a big deal) but the guac was runny. There are some other really great locally owned options that I ll be sticking to from now on.

Many people I know have gotten extremely food poisoned after eating here. They saved me from going to a place run by clearly inexperienced and rude staff. I was told the food is extremely greasy and looks like pre-made processed things. If that many people are sick, either start cleaning your things, learn how to make good quality food, or just get new staff, this place is food poisoning central.

Ordered a veggie burrito and got a fish burrito, so I can t recommend if you re veggie and don t like to gamble. Also no salsas or napkins were added to the takeout bag. Finally, got the stink eye for not leaving a tip (controversial I know). Over all, skip this place and go somewhere that can get your order right.

Not as good as other locations. The vegan menu has 3 dishes - 2 spicy and 1 with highly processed soy curls and I don t like either. Wish there was a simple veggie burrito staff is nice.

And yet another great taco place in squamish this place is recommended as their tofino location is legendary and you dont have to wait an hour and a 1/2 for food the Crispy chicken burrito is Greasy and heavy however the other dishes are quite light and you can order several of them to complete a meal its not cheap but its worth it free parking outside in a great location

Wow! After ordering the soft beef taco and the fish taco, the best thing on the menu ends up being the Tater Tots! This is the biggest hipster taco joint in BC .. really?!?!

Terrible food. Terrible service. Worst experience. Will avoid like plague and do not recommend. Other options in town are probably better, other reviews even recommend to go elsewhere. Tacofino reputation is over, done. They were good 10+ years ago. Ordered online, dont appreciate automatically adding a tip for a pick up order. Thats also terrible. $30 for a burrito and a soda. Overpriced. Avoid avoid avoid.

Tried 2 items last night, both were great. Went to pickup but Doordash screwed up and canceled my order, yet the manager did it for me anyway, she was great so were other staff who overheard the Doordash issue. Prices are cheaper if you order direct from Tacofino so Ill do that next time.

The host was welcoming and helpfully reorganized some chairs and diners to accommodate our party of six. I recommend the loaded tots and the crispy chicken taco. Friends who ordered the Cheeseburger burrito gave it two thumbs up. Id love to see some more non-alcoholic beer options :)
