Pretty much checks all the boxes. The garden Tart and Cheesecake is an exceptional standout. They change their limited menu often which provides variety and a great way to entice you to come back. And did I say, the french staff are lovely people?

Just ate at The Broken Seal and everything was amazing. The view alone makes it worth a visit and the great small plates and cocktails make it even better. Our server was warm and welcoming as well. So happy to finally have a locally owned, fantastic restaurant in Squamish. An absolute must visit!

Very expensive for what it is. Of the 3 dishes to share (scalop, wagyu and bao), only the baos were good. Desserts without tastes and flavors.

Was a bit loud inside, but the food and staff is simply perfect.

I celebrated my birthday at The Broken Seal, and it was an amazing experience! The atmosphere was perfect, and the staff were really attentive. The tuna tartare was delicious, and the passionfruit cocktail was the highlight of the night! I can t recommend this place enough for a great night out. I ll definitely be back!

Had a girls night here as we heard great things about the drinks and atmosphere. In our experience the cocktails were not good, very strong with underwhelming or overwhelming flavour. Food is okay but wouldn t go back for more as if something blew our minds. Appreciate the creativity for the dishes we ordered, but it just didn t hit for us. Atmosphere was great, it s a very cute spot and has a good vibe. Service was great, the servers were nice and always had a smile on their faces. In our opinion, there is not enough food options to appeal to everyone. Was very disappointed in the cocktails as we heard nothing but great things and great is not a word I would use to describe them.

This place blew us away! Came in with no expectations and was thoroughly impressed. So good we ended up ordering the waygu tartar twice! Our server Fred was amazing. She gave us wonderful recommendations and was super sweet! Will definately be coming back!

Great bar , drinks and food

If you are in Squamish you must pay a visit to The Seal, the food and cocktails are amazing. We had a selection of dishes, both vegan, meat and fish. The salmon tartare is the best Ive ever tasted. The waitress was very knowledgeable about all the dishes and everyone was very friendly. The location is amazing too.

This is my favourite place for vegan food in Squamish! I love the creativity behind the dishes, it feels like an experience when you hear all about the love and time taken to create each dish and the Chef Jay clearly puts a lot of care into everything on the menu. I ve been a few times now and the service and servers have always been so friendly, the atmosphere always really matches the day - cosy on the rainy days and bright on the sunny ones! Couldn t recommend more.

Best food in town by far. Every bite is like a party of flavor bursting in your mouth. Try everything its worth it..love the non alcoholic drink menu its so nice to finally have a place to enjoy fancy non alcoholic drink with friends paired with delightful food prepared with care and love .

Wow, wow, wow! What a great place to eat and have a drink. If you are an out of town visitor or local you have to go soon. Quebec cuisine to perfection and is just what Squamish needs. Where to start: everything is good. Sous vide, master spices, tartare everything for vegans and meat eaters. It would be a Micheline star place. The food was good, but it s definitely more of a cocktail/wine bar with small dishes than a full on restaurant. So just keep that in mind! Vegetarian options: There are VG options.

A great find. Excellent Customer Service and outstanding food. The flavour mix was perfect. Beet Carpaccio was very good. Bao Buns were amazing but the Steak Tartare was excellent. Given the high quality of the food you definitely get value for money. . We d highly recommend a visit to this restaurant if you are staying in Squamish- you won t be disappointed. We were so excited by the food we forgot to take pictures - but rest assured presentation was extremely good.

Do yourself a favour and check this place out! Great drinks, fun tapas style share plates, fantastic service! They re so new we were questioning whether they were real, but we popped in too late to get the full menu and were still served with a wonderful, engaging, French Canadian server! We came back the next night and tried all the things, and they were all delicious and great! And we were even served by the same great server that made the whole experience 10/10! Highly recommend, go check it out!

Exactly what Squamish needed. The views of the Chief, Garibaldi Mountain and Howe Sound are incredible. The atmosphere and menu celebrate the spirit of Squamish and the west coast. The vegan offerings on the menu were standouts for me. Our server and bartender were helpful and friendly. Truly one of the best places to go! I highly recommend this place and will be back! In a town that closes at 7:00pm this was an awesome place to get meal with some friends after a late meeting. We shared a few of the items. The food was as fascinating as it was delicious and refreshing. My first time trying Tartar, the beef was of extremely high quality. I got to speak to one of the chefs Jay, who explained the dishes and the vast amount of time that goes into the preparation. It is almost like food chemistry. We went near launch so one of the owners was our host, very friendly and accommodating. For those who like to have a drink, it is a very atmospheric location with a beautiful view of the Chief and the water.

Server was AMAZING, she went above and beyond and was very very good at her job. Place was great! So cute, lots to do with kids too, nice views, cool atmosphere. Will be back!

the coolest new cocktail bar with an incredible location and gorgeous views!! their cocktail menu was so unique and they could also make so many other drinks not listed on their menu. we had 5 different share plates and they were all to die for so fresh. we sat on their waterfront patio and watched the sunset behind the mountains, it was so beautiful! couldn t recommend this place more!!

We ve been waiting a long time for a space like this to open downtown Squamish. You can tell the owners and staff truly care and want this restaurant to be successful. The food was fresh/amazing and the cocktails were incredible. It s quite tough the first couple of weeks to get into the flow of things but the service was incredible. We will definitely be back (aka regulars)! Ps - the vegan options are incredible.

Great new spot. This space deserves a place like The Broken Seal. Amazing views, laid back vibe, small plates of very delicious food, and awesome cocktails. Shout to to the bartender on June 25, he didnt even break a sweat pumping out drink after drink for a packed house. Cant say enough good things. Matty even came out for a chat on our way out and took a group photo. Keep it up!! Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarian, gluten free, celiac.....

This place is an absolute must if you are in Squamish, or if youre passing through 100% worth a detour!! Not only were the food and cocktails incredible, the service was absolutely 5 star. The location also provides a stunning view from the patio. Already cant wait to go back!

Couldn t have dreamt up anything better. Food was delicious, fresh, beautiful and priced so well! The drink menu is made by cocktail wizards, compete with the safe bets we all crave. The atmosphere is fun, sophisticated and the views from the patio are top notch. The friendly staff was knowledgeable and approachable. I couldnt have cooked up anything better if I tried. Seriously a 10/10 is every way.

This is a truly amazing place! The food was excellent, they offer not just the regular stuff but really great innovative dishes, that were truly delicious. The Service was very friendly and attentive and the cocktails are really really good! A wonderful experience during our travels through British Columbia. Awesome! Amazing bar with delicious food which is perfect for sharing. The cocktails here are so good as well as the food- we had the scallop ceviche and the beef tartare. Both plates were amazing and everything is very reasonably priced.The patio is super nice and overlooks the water and the mountains, perfect for a summers day. Definitely recommend if you are stopping by squamish!!

Had a little date night here on their 6th night open, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere was upbeat, our server was charming (with a great sense of humour!), the drinks were absolutely fabulous, and the food was tasty

Brought two friends from Manitoba here who had never been to Squamish and they said it was the nicest patio they d ever been to! A couple of cocktails after a long day of exploring out of service and we devoured all our food - the vibe was really fun and will be back. So nice to finally have some more elevated options in Squamish

Its a nice space with an amazing patio view, good food and drink! The music could use some work. Their playlist seemed to be 8 songs on repeat.

What a great experience, finally squamish downtown has a destination with a great view, good cocktails list, and delicious food. The room is a great space and very well thought out, down to the seal wallpaper in the bathroom. The staff are very welcoming and on point, with a dog friendly patio I cant wait to go back. This amazing little place looks out over the water. The food was amazing and the presentation was great, when it quickly arrived at our table, the server gave us an introduction to what everything was. The place has great energy and as busy as it was, we still got incredible service, with the staff checking in with us frequently to see how we were. I would definitely go back again and recommend this little oasis to everyone.

The broken seal,is a fantastic new addition to the neighborhood! The service was top-notch friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They helped me navigate the vegan options and even suggested a delicious cocktail pairing. Speaking of cocktails, their mixology skills are on point! I tried the Our-garitas and the Squamish moms , and it was perfectly balanced and flavorful. And the food wow! I had the Watermelon Tartare, and it was bursting with flavor and creativity. Cant wait to go back and try more!

Wow, just wow! This place is exactly what Squamish needs. The culinary creativity behind their menu is breathtaking and tastes even better. They had everything from meat, seafood, and vegan options with most of the menu being modified for gluten free individuals if needed! What makes their food even better? The cocktails that they have so thoughtfully curated and made. My favourite is the passion project, nothing like a Smokey spicy marg, am I right!? I will most definitely be a frequent visitor, also forgot to mention the view. Damn this place is nice.

I loved my experience at The Seal! The beet carpaccio was AMAZING and my boyfriend got the Watermelon tartare which was also super delicious! We both were impressed by the new spot opening and we definitely will be spending our weekends there !
