THIS. This was the best Japanese food I have had that wasn’t in Japan. I can’t even believe it’s here, tucked away unassumingly in a corner street in Squamish. If you want Japan prices, and great food look no further. If I could give more than 5 I would’ve
Manpuku Sushi is truly exceptional! The food quality is outstanding, with fresh, high-grade sushi that melts in your mouth. The staff is warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the experience even more enjoyable. The Manpuku curry is an absolute must-try—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every dish reflects the authenticity and skill of the chefs. If you're looking for top-notch japanese food and an unforgettable meal, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!
The hosts is very friendly and all smiling. We went there for the lunch buffet but we are too late. Instead we ordered their Bento Box. The serving is large and filling.
Incredible and authentic food. Delicious. We had two types of ramen and several sushi rolls. Everything was incredible.
Authentic Japanese sushi restaurant with amazing food for great value prices. Their location is very easily accessible. Quick service and friendly staff. The only downside is during busy hours you may not be able to get a table. However they have great takeout services to counteract that! 😊 I've tried their famous aburi saba sushi and spicy tuna and salmon poke bowl. Both are great dishes!
Everything is good, I like the ramen and the curry, reminds me of little restaurants in Hokkaido.. go here if you like the authentic taste and atmosphere. I suggest not ordering too much at first as portions are a good size. They also have small snacks available for sale and some canned drinks. Ran by local friendly Japanese staff 👌🏽
I had a spicy tuna roll and a small Udon curry and WOW the curry was freaking delicious!!! Not much meat in the small but just enough with the rich broth to fill me up. The flavours are so vibrant and comforting. Really lovely staff too! 😀
Small family style Japanese Restaurant. We love how cozy it was. The food was delicious and service was great (even though they had only had one server). Come in to the restaurant and put in your order then you'll be seated. Enjoy!
Massive win for old Squamish as Im really happy this location stayed a sushi joint, New menu and I love it! Still some old classics like the BC roll that im very happy to see! Food
I just love their spicy pork gyoza, so authentic and perfect for lunch
Great food and prices. Super cute and friendly girl at the front.
Ive been travelling around vancouver, whistler and squamish, eating out almost every meal and worrying about my travelling budget. But not here. You can get full for as low as $5 for a teriyaki beef roll or $10 for their specialty karage roll which by the way is hands down the best karage ive ever had. Suits my asian palate perfectly. A true hidden gem in the heart of downtown.
Some of the best value for money in Squamish. I love the udon curry.
It replicates authentically the feel of a greasy, oil filled atmosphere in a neighborhood diner in Japan, just with prices that are sadly inflated due to cost of living issues. The food was about the level of what you d find in a lower end Japanese izakaya like eatery. Definitely recommend checking out other options nearby instead if you want better Japanese food
Good sushi and affordable. My fave sushi place in Squamish, if youre craving for fast sushi to go or dine in.
I love ordering from Manpuku. Its got such a cool vibe & quite a selection of food. I really like their croquette rolls
Yum!!!
My favourite sushi place in Squamish!! Very nice workers and affordable delicious sushi!!!
A cool hole in the wall sushi joint ran by legit Japanese people. Had their beef and chicken ramen, similar to street ramen in Japan. Chicken karaage could have been fried crispier though. The sushi rolls were okay too. I think the best thing going for this place is the price and value to taste. Only have like 3-4 dine in tables that seats various amounts per table, so probably best to order take out if you wanna do sushi.
Best beef ramen of my life.
Food was great!!! 1000% would recommend to everyone!
Tasty food. Great value.
Small neighborhood restaurant. Everything was delicious. Vegetarian options: Dish without meat or with toffu.
Delicious, authentic Japanese food and super friendly workers. The meat was really tasty and tender and the miso soup was some of the best I ve ever had. I recommend highly :)
This place has kind waitress, tasty food, and has a small but cozy atmosphere. I would recommend this place to any Canadian sushi lover in this area Food
So so good! Ate here before shredding the trails! Will be back! Very kind staff
Great dishes and really yummy, highly recommend for authentic food.
Casual atmosphere, AMAZING food!
small restaurant, cosy atmosphere, kind&quick staff and incredibly good food visiting Manpuku Sushi every time when in Squamish, 100% recommended
Probably the best chirashi bowl Ive ever had. This place is amazing. The fish could not be any fresher. The staff are extremely friendly. If you want top shelf food from a mom and pop shop, this is the place.
Best place in town by a longggg shot Sushi samurai has nothing on them. Best food best price Great place to bring your wife! Food : 5/5 |
Amazing. But don t tell nobody. Squamish sucks don t come.
This place is overrated! Definitely will come back for cheap but super good food. Great customer service too.
Great meal
This place is amazing! The sushi tastes so good and its amazing value!
Best ramen, best karage and best vibe of all the shops in Squamish
We ordered and then kept on ordering more, it was so good. Everything on the menu, wanted to try everything.
New go to sushi place
Was very fresh and made very well recommend trying it
The place was quite busy, even still our food came out really quickly and was delicious.
Incredible food. Incredible prices. Fast and polite service.... A new favorite of mine.
Great sushi at super reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend.
The best Japanese meal in Squamish. Has been few times we ate at this restaurant, we never have been disappointed.
Cozy spot for no frills Japanese food. Very authentic and comforting.
The sushi here is delicious and super reasonably priced. The tuna nigiri was INCREDIBLE!!
Hands down the best sushi in the lower mainland.
Would absolutely not recommend, they had no salmon, which is weird in Squamish, they and no sashimi available, so ordered rolls and cones, cones had basically nothing but rice in them and the rolls were dry and terrible, should have hit the dumpster in the alley for something better, just tossed out $40 worth of sushi
Delicious food, great and quick service with only 2 staff (1 cook 1 server/order taker) serving our group of 6 adults 6 kids. Would definitely eat here again.
Great spot and prices
A true gem in Squamish! This discovery ranks among the best, offering affordable meals without compromising on quality. The authenticity and genuine flavours make it an absolute perfection.
Very small place but very good food.
I used it during my trip to Canada. I was impressed by how cheap and delicious the sushi and bento boxes were! If you miss Japanese cuisine, please come visit us. We are rooting for you!
A hole in the wall bare bones place but fantastic quality and value. Will be back!
Good food, reasonably priced, and excellent service. You cant go wrong with Manpuku Sushi. Value for your dollar is certainly a key factor in their success and how busy they are. Every dish that we have ordered has been to our liking.
Nice little Japanese restaurant with good selections and good prices. We ordered poke bowls, udon, ramen and sushi for lunch. Fish and ingredients of the pokes are fresh. Udon s broth is light and the beef one comes with sweet tofu skin, but the beef portions are quite small. Ramen s pretty good but the broth is a bit too salty. They also have Japanese snacks and cards for sale.
Great food, great prices, great seasonal dishes! 5* Dont change a thing!!
I was blown away. Phenomenal nigiri.
Best sushi in town food is great . service is really good . Very friendly staff specially Kurumi is great. They also have yummy unique snacks for sale. Great place for a quick lunch or dinner Food : 5/5
Finally, Squamish gets a high quality, authentic, Japanese restaurant (and reasonably priced, OMG). I have eaten at every Japanese restaurant in Squamish and Manpuku Sushi is by far the best. Dont let the hole-in-a-wall mom & pop decor fool you, there is excellent food (and service) that comes from this shop. Their menu offers up some unique items not commonly found in typical North American Japanese restaurants and of course they have the usual items as well. Well made, timeless, traditional dishes and not just trendy rolls that are stuffed with every hipster ingredient popular this second. Highly recommend this place but to be honest...Id rather you not go there so I can have the restaurant to myself and not wait in some ridiculous line that is so common in Squamish restaurants that are actually good...but then theyd go out of business...so alas...
Certainly a nice and friendly bunch of folks running this place but most of the food was just terrible. Either too salty or too spicy, and I love spicy. I cant think of a single one of a dozen dishes I would order again. ... sorry...
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic sushi restaurant in Squamish, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a great meal.
Great service and delicious food!
It s been so long since I ve been in a shop where I feel like I m in my home The staff are so kind and the food,,, THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS!! Can t wait for next time. Thank you very much
A great place to stop in squamish for some tasty sushi, ramen and Bento boxes. Prices are quite reasonable.
Super friendly staff, love the manpuku role. I go back almost every week.
best place in town! great food and very reasonably priced. loved the poke bowl
Best food I ve had all month affordable and country music in a sushi restaurant 5/5
Delicious.
Amazingly delicious and varied. So many great options we had to order thrice in a sitting. The karaage was crispy and juicy. The sashimi was thick cut and fresh. The service was fantastic and the view unbeatable. Browsed online and seemed very different to the one in Vancouver downtown and seemed more unique. More varieties of handrolls, chirashi bowl, etc. Just fantastic!
Kid-friendliness: Lots of pokemon cards Food
Very good sushi and nice vibe in the place. Karage roll is worth trying and best spicy tuna roll in town
Love these guys! Super friendly, great sushi at a reasonable price.
High quality sushi at a good price. Fast service and good atmosphere. I couldn t ask for a better restaurant.
Very small dining area but the people eat and leave quickly, and the staff is quick to clean the tables, so there is not much of a wait time for a table. The spicy ramen was great and the karage (fried chicken) was delicious. My daughter had the California roll and she said it was good.
Excellent quality sushi and wonderful service.
As a long time customer of Sushi Geomon, I had missed out on visiting before they closed down. When I visited very recently, I was excited to see a menu I recognize from the previous owners. As long as they keep the pan-fry style Geoza (deep-fry is never as Goodland!) and their Beef Udon, I will only visit here for my sushi. Good work!
Delicious food, super nice people. Couldnt have picked a better person to take over the restaurant. Highly recommend the Manpuku spicy chicken karaage roll.
Probably the best sushi in town.
Probably the best Japanese food in town! Delicious fresh food well served on a traditional ambiance, fair prices. Congrats to the new owners!
Manpuku is amazing! The owner, Hideya-san, is a humble master chef who creates authentic Japanese dishes such as ramen, curry and sushi. My favorite has been their Tuna Poke bowl but their Spicy Chicken ramen is great on a cold day. They also have great Japanese snacks that you can t find in many other places around
Lovely friendly service. Recommend the takoyaki, curry and sashimi. The ajitama was also perfect! We would go back again to try some other items. I m happy there s another good Japanese restaurant in Squamish.
Im a regular at their Vancouver location so I knew I had to try this one in Squamish! It did not disappoint, I got the Manpuku roll and the unagi roll and both were super delicious!
Not as good as the old sushi place that was there before. The gyozas are very watery, I had to bite the tips off and pour the water out before eating them.
Honestly the best sushi we have had out of all of the places in Squamish. The staff is always working so hard and makes us feel at home when we dine-in. Will recommend to anyone who hasn t tried Manpuku Sushi yet!
Best ebi roll Ive ever had. Good price too.
Food is great and not pricey at all!
Good service, good food - glad to see this place reopen to the same standards under new ownership
Excellent 10/10, very authentic love the food. just go
Best Sushi in town! Very fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Best Karaage I have ever eaten! Curry is fantastic, I cant wait to try their other menu items. All of the food is very good. The staff are very friendly and quick service.
You must try the Manpuku Curry and the Tuna Poke.
A little disappointed by the quality and quantity of food after reading so many good reviews. I found the cones were stuffed with pour quality ingredients and my almost 4$ seaweed salad was so tiny I ate it in 3 bites I probably won t return for the sushi here
We visited this sushi restaurant on our vacation to squamish! They accommodated our group of 7 and the food was fantastic! A good family owned sushi shop!
Great little gem in Squamish! Good quality and family owned :) very fresh always and super delicious sockeye and prawn tempura.
Love the karaage, great specials, curry and rice bowls are all delicious. Always try and pick up a couple snacks when I can, youre not gonna find Black Thunder anywhere else in town, and Im hooked on it.
Favorite sushi in town as far as price/quality. Super homey feel. The Nashville manpuku roll and BC roll are my favorite, you just cant get them at any other sushi restaurant.
Freaking unreal. Walked in after work at the hospital and ordered the Ajifry Bento as I was torn between that or the Chicken Ramen. Blown away. Ingredients were fresh, well presented, reasonably sized for the price and service was excellent :) Loved that its not a massive place (a couple of tables) and ordered take out. Going back for more while Im in Squamish!
I definitely will go there again.
Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options, excellent service! & great sushi!
Little well kept secret.... Dont tell everyone ! Food
Omg this place is amazing hands down best in town had the manpuku curry bc roll and Nashville rol .. absolutely unreal . Why have I never been here before . Will be back asap best sushi in town
Not only does it taste amazing, but for that price!!. Best sushi place in Squamish, cant wait to go again!!!!!
Delicious sushi and super friendly team!
Was sadly disappointed in this new place, not impressed with the quality of cooking or the portion sizes. Hard pass
This place is awesome!! Love it
love it here. Spicy karage is the best
Loved it in Vancouver and love it here, congrats on the new location
Great food!
Great quality sushi at good prices! They also sell Japanese snacks and drinks, which are always fun to try
