Located 45 minutes from Vancouver along the beautiful Sea to Sky highway, the 10-minute gondola ride up to our summit provides sweeping views of Howe Sound, the majestic coastal forest, and surrounding mountains. Every gondola cabin is stroller and wheelchair accessible and has a maximum capacity of 8 passengers. Purchase tickets online prior to your visit.
I love the drive up there, purchase your tickets in advance to save money I use tripology to purchase on line. Bring drinks water… to save money. The gondola ride was pleasant and the hikeing trails were easily accessible.
Great experience and beautiful. It's worth the money. I booked in advance and got right on, went up to explore, and came back. No wait. They have a restaurant and store at the top. Bathrooms are clean, and the suspension bridge was nice. We went with snow on the ground, so be prepared to dress warm.
We went on a week day and odd hours so there was absolutely no rush and did not have to wait at all for the gondola. The gondola ride from the base station to the summit is breath taking. The summit has its own suspension bridge. Another good thing about the summit is that it has trails for all the people , like, easy, medium and expert. The restaurant on the summit also had a good variety of food.
INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE! Definitely recommend if you are ever visiting BC! Although the price may seem a lot, it is worth every dollar. There’s mist stations as well as a souvenir shops and small food vendors prior to boarding the gondola. The gondola was clean, and the views were incredible. Once you arrive to the top there’s a spot where you can grab a bite to eat, relax and enjoy the views. There’s no specific time or amount of time you have at the top. There’s a handful of hikes that you’re open to explore. The day we went there was also a wedding ceremony going on so that is also an option. Included with the price you can cross the suspension bridge to see even more views of the mountains. Staff were very helpful and friendly and you can tell they are happy with what they do. 10/10 experience⭐️
It was really neat because it was a fun and long ride, it has a beautiful summit, and what I did not know is that there is a suspension bridge up there. I saved myself a lot of time and effort and money by just using the suspension bridge up there. There is also a hiking trail. There's also a place to eat. Those are all really cool. What's not cool, is that the gift shop is insanely overpriced! Also, I do not understand why I need a lift ticket to go back down. No one is going to sneak up that far. If they do, they deserve a free ride.
Amazing experience! Great view. Cabins are only for 6-8 people, you can share with your group. Great hiking trails at the top. Suspension bridge with great view! We had so much fun there.
One of the best parts of our vacation was visiting the Sea to Sky Gondolas! The ride was fun, smooth and beautiful. Even more, the top of the mountain, bridge, hike and views were amazing! Very well marked at which hike to take, the views are breathtaking. We also enjoyed sitting outside the cafe with a drink taking in the views. Highly recommended.
This was an incredible experience! The views eating lunch at the top were amazing. Looking down over the lake and mountain ranges. The suspension bridge was incredible! This is a must do experience. There is a cafe with grab and go items and a restaurant at the top. There are shops both at the top and bottom of the gondola with fun items! The ride isn't for those with height fears as the gondola does jerk and shift throughout the ride. The hike might be more height fear friendly.
Great for family visits
So beautiful! Even if its raining !!
This was such a lovely experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a lot to do and it wasnt too crowded when I went. The views were stunning and we had the best time. Highly recommend!
a little pricey for a family of 4 otherwise great experience Also remember to check weather before going up
5 trails so get plenty of time before you go
Perfect view
On June 8, 2024, we embarked on an incredible adventure! The weather was absolutely perfect, setting the stage for an unforgettable day. We snagged some amazing discounted tickets online for just around $40, which made the anticipation even sweeter. Arriving at 4 pm, we were instantly swept up in the magic of the place, our hearts racing with excitement as we relived the experience. Every moment felt exhilarating, and we were completely mesmerized by the atmosphere once again!
Wonderful views of the mountains and the sea. Rightly said Sea to Sky
Must visit place when in Vancouver
Stunning views and trails.
Absolutely breathtaking views! Went on a Wednesday and was pleased to see that it was quiet and not crowded. Staff was super lovely. They have beautiful art for sale from a local artist.
My friends and I visited here on December 6th, 2024 and we met Lois who was AMAZING! I spilt coffee on me and didn t have a paper towel in the bathroom, but Lois brought me a damp cloth to help get the stain out. When we were done, she then recommended a great place to eat for lunch. Lois is the best!!!
Fantastic to be able to access the alpine so easily! Love this place. I do have to take one star away though for a policy change that feels pretty disappointing. I ve had a pass for a few years and always enjoy getting a little treat or drink at the top with the 20% discount listed for pass holders. However I was told today that they no longer offer discounts on certain items and that their website (fountain drinks in this case) and that their website is wrong. Would ve been nice to know or at least for them to be able to show where it was posted. :(
It was snowing a bit but the trip was still great. There was a suspension bridge too.
Great view and great price, I know it s not easy but try to go in a sunny day. Breathtaking views. Make sure to bring your camera to take amazing photos. It could be cold on the top so make sure to bring warm clothes.
Great experience!!! Totally worth the time!!
Buy tickets online to save a little and be sure to visit this place. The views there are simply incredible, it is a very good feeling to walk on the suspension bridge! There are also many trails for any level of training.
Fantastic experience! The views are insane, and the gondola ride up is a good 20ish minutes each way. The trails are easy to follow and have some breathtaking views. Will recommend this experience to anyone looking for something fun to do in Canada.
The most amazing gondola!
Breathtaking views! Amazing experience! Even though I found the ticket price a bit steep, the overall experience of the suspension bridge and Gondola was simply awesome.. 100% recommend.
Beautiful views
Horrible customer service! They tell you its ok you left your pass at home and just go up. As soon as you get up they tell you you need to pay for a day pass
The gondola ride at a height of 880 m was a great experience. Despite the overcast sky at the end of October, an incredible view. The suspension bridge at the top isnt long, but its also easy to survive if youre afraid of heights. There were various circular routes, also with great views. Delicious coffee and all kinds of food in the restaurant. Clean toilets. Cost 75 CD per person. But they are really worth it for those who love nature and views. There is a small playground. And a place for dogs.
Horrible customer service with zero understanding
Just visit, when the weather is nice the visitor has a wonderful view of the landscape.
Amazing views at the top, lots of long to short hike options, great lookouts and some information!
It was one of the best experiences we had. We suggest you visit as early as possible to have the best experience. Less crowded. Highly recommended. Family friendly.
Excellent everything except for the common travellers admission fee for the gondola at around half a regular workers daily wage.
Good Experience
We were fortunate enough to experience a wedding up here and it made for a beautiful venue! The views were gorgeous, the ceremony was on the other side of the suspension bridge and it was used as the brides aisle, and the delicious food was served in a beautifully decorated private room! 10/10 would recommend
This was a Hella experience!
Worth a ride. Definitely must try for all ages. Visited on
Vancouver resident here, also someone that works customer service for 5+ years. The customer service I received was the worst in recent memory. I bought round trip 2 adults, 2 seniors, Sunday afternoon. Thats now roughly 310$ for 4 lift ticket. Thats a sticker shock, but fine. I asked if there was some kind of local or BCAA discount, like the large majority of other tourist attractions do in the area (Britannia Mine Museum being a nearby example). The attendant treated me as though I was scum beneath her shoe, both a poor and a waste of her time. She failed to mention the online discount, she failed to mention the discounted annual passes (which I would have bought if she mentioned it), nothing. I have done this for people myself, selling tickets at amusement parks, lululemon, etc. Its a basic form of humanity from one person to another, especially when asked. So she lied to my face and treated me like garbage all within 90 second transaction. I did not confront her and have no idea why she treated me this way. In a separate interaction, my spouse asked her if this followed the chiefs route as there are no maps available and limited information in the ground level. She scoffed at him and said, No in a disgusted tone of voice. Her behavior was similar to how designer store sales associates treat customers as part of their sales model, not ticket attendants for a tourist attraction. It soured our familys experience and frankly hurt my feelings. I am an avid hiker, I have a Grouse grind membership and hike it weekly, spending at least 20$ in coffee a week there. This trip was supposed to be our family seeing what squamish was about, and showing our out of province family the beauty of BC. I would have gone hiking regularly on the seat to summit trail/the chief, bought a pass etc. I will never take this attraction again. I will hike the trails up and down out of spite, bring food, etc. I will tell everyone I know in the hiking community about this. Views, sure whatever. its stunning. Thats the easy part. Its how you treat people at the end of the day.
Worth the time and money. Amazing views!
Breathtaking views. Every angle is a postcard!
Beautiful beyond words. Recommend to anyone travelling to Vancouver
It is nice .. but the place needs more public transportation connections between adventure stop bus, wisther bus.. they have only one connection bus to vancouver in the morning..
STUNNING. Highly recommended. Go treat yourselves, people!
Superb gondola
Fun family-friendly activity in beautiful Squamish. Gondola ride up and down is scenic and quick, lots of hiking trails and suspension bridge available at the top. Also has an excellent gift shop with dining options.
It takes you to another dimension of charm and wonder. Super great place, staff and experience. I loved it.
This ride is not for the faint of heart, but is worth the ride if you can handle it , breath taking views and walking trails to even more breath taking views..
Beautiful and worth the money. Wear bug spray, even on your face! I m afraid of heights and did the gondola ride and the suspension bridge just fine!
All I can say is the place fudging beautiful. I went here with covey
We climbed the mountain via the Sea to Summit trail and it was amazing!! We are, at best, amateur hikers and so this was a very challenging trail for us, but between all the pauses to catch our breath, we saw breathtaking views, raging rapids and waterfalls, and felt complete with nature. It took us 5 hours to get to the top. Friendly staff were there to greet us and then we took the gondola back down. Highly recommend the hike but be prepared for tough climbs and bring lots of water.
I was impressed by the scenery that can only be seen here! There is also a short hiking course, and we even met wild squirrels on the course.
Nice attraction. Views little impeded by fog, but the gondola ride was very nice.
The Sea to Sky Gondola is an unforgettable experience! The ride up offers breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains, Howe Sound, and the forests below. Once at the top, the suspension bridge, hiking trails, and viewing platforms provide even more incredible scenery. The beauty and tranquility at the summit are unmatched. Whether you re an adventure lover or just want to soak in nature s beauty, this is a must-do when traveling along the Sea to Sky Highway!
Excellent experience to see the upper mountains of the Squamish region. It was moderately busy but once you go on to the trails it was most isolated.
Very pretty destination even when you go through the clouds all the staff were very nice as well
I was unsure about buying a ticket because the price seemed high. I decided to anyway and was happy I did!! It was well worth the price! It was absolutely beautiful and such a great experience. I 100% recommend taking the ride
A very nice trip in great weather. You can do various hikes here of different lengths and levels of difficulty. The paths are beautifully done. Theres a lot to see.
Fantastic place. A must visit.
It s great little gondola. Great views form it.
If you can, do the Via Ferrata, was definitely an amazing experience. As someone with no mountain climbing experience, it was still a very accessible for entry level folks and was exhilarating. Vincent was an excellent guide for the Via Ferrata. There are food options at the top of the gondola as well, and a decent (but somewhat pricey) gift shop.
Time: Tuesday afternoon We purchased the tickets 10 mins before arriving, since we wanted to ensure the sun was out (or as good as Vancouver weather will allow). The gondola ride up was surprisingly lengthy, allowing for ample time to take pictures. The gondola was not rocky in the air, so good for the faint of hearts. The suspension bridge was nice, but crowded. There were times when you can get good pictures without a parade of people around you, however, you will need to find the timing. The suspension bridge was fun to walk on, you can feel the bridge going up and down if there are people hopping on it, several people had to hold onto the railing and slowly walk across, and the walkway can only barely fit 2 adults. 2 gift shops, 1 on the ground, and 1 up on the mountain.
wonderfull
Very nice gondola, I love the hiking trails and the restaurant, even we haven t been to the restaurant. Good spot to do some exercises
Not all runs were open as I was there at the end of the summer season. (September) I took two gondolas. The first to Whistler Mountain and from there a second to Blackcomb Mountain. The first gondola had a large see through floor which was really cool to look down from. The second to Blackcomb Mountain was a small vessel, but I saw a live Marmot on top by the Olympic rings! Since I now knew what they looked like, I saw lots of them on Whistler Mountain on the boulders on my way down. That was the best part of that day for me.
The view is amazing, and worth the price for the gondola, but it boggles my mind that you have to pay for parking. Its not like people are going to park there and walk kilometers into town just to take advantage of free parking. If you have accessibility needs they will help you to the top, and you can do the suspension bridge, but its very narrow. You can fit a regular wheelchair on it and other people can squeeze past you. The door to the gift shop at the top is wheelchair accessible, but there are metal grates in the wood deck just outside the doors that will catch the foot rests of your chair so be careful. I was expecting a nice restaurant at the top, but its basically a canteen.
The ride up was just incredible.. not even going to share photos that way you HAVE to go see for yourself (definitely wont just see someone else review including photos). that view & the bridge?? if youre reading this trying to figure out if its worth it, this is your sign to go!
Gondola is expensive but worth it unless you are an experienced climber. Highly recommend the walking tracks at the top for normal people. Panorama for the whole family - go to all the lookouts. Highline track is a bit more challenging but kids from 12 should be able to do it (look for the track markers on the trees as you go). Wonderland lake was a bit dull. We parked (free) at Shannon Falls and enjoyed the 10min fern walk very much
Leads you to breathtaking views. There are many trails at the top after taking the gondola. The gondola also takes you up to the amazing suspension bridge and cute café area that has a great view. I recommend the panorama trail it s perfect for the views and not too long if you are with family and if you still have things to do for the rest of the day (that s where the chiefs lookout is) it s also good for all ages.
The views are gorgeous, the trails are amazing, the animals are so cute but some customer service staff is very rude that ruins your whole experience. Today a young girl working as a customer service rep didn t permit four of us to be in a separate gondola putting us with a couple (who also wanted some privacy for a chat and photos). There were literally no people waiting (3 more families in a line) and on top of the mountains there was noone waiting in a line at all. We asked nicely to have a private gondola having the whole family together and we had a child with us who really wanted that. But she rudely said that she would stop gondolas if we don t jump inside the gondola with others immediately. I asked why, and she said they were too busy but it was not true! People who don t have people skills should not work in customer service as they make the whole experience unpleasant (not mentioning the high price you pay for the gondolas). Please take this complaint seriously. It should not be that way. This is unacceptable. Thank you.
Very crowded and not exactly cheap, the view and the suspension bridge make up for it
Best place for scenery lover
We just had a fabulous day up there, and I have to say after a bit of a cerfuffel over the parking, Megan from customer service more than smoothed things over. Great trails , the suspension bridge is fun, and of course the ride up and down is spectacular. What ever you do dont use the web address shown in my photo to try and pay for parking. If you dont want to use the app go inside the building and buy a ticket. Its not made clear on the signs that you can do this.
Great views and a pleasant drive along the way.
Absolutely amazing views, takes you into and above the clouds. We were a bit sceptical about the price but when we went it was definitely worth the money.
Beautiful!!! Worth the expensive fee!
Good for hikers
Fun place for everybody
Great view and worth a visit
The Sea to Sky Gondola is one of our favorite quick getaways as a family! Living nearby, we visit often to escape into nature, and it never disappoints. The gondola ride itself is a highlight, offering incredible views of Howe Sound, the surrounding mountains, and the lush forest below. My kids love the ride, and it s always fun to see their excitement as we ascend.
Enjoy the ride...
A very wonderful place with a beautiful view. Worth the money spent.
Loved it! Gorgeous views, little traffic, very helpful staff. Definitely need to try the suspension bridge and view the surroundings.
Scary but amazing, military discount as well for the member only.
Make sure to not go into the wrong line on the way down, two separate lines will get you down, one is a line to ride with your group and another line is to ride along with strangers. Killed the vibe having to ride with strangers coughing in an enclosed space and unable to enjoy the ride/view.
Great view and lots of beautiful hiking trails once you get to the top. You should definitely have done it!
Absolutely terrifying! And so worth it!
Amazing experience! This was the biggest gondola I have been to. Literally takes 15-18 mins for one way. The views are magnificent. The restaurant on top of the gondola ride, had almost all of the lunch dishes out of stock. So had to manage with the available options.
Worth it, the views are amazing! The ride is so smooth and goes so much further up than what you can notice from the start.
Ticket was a bit pricy but it was worthy eventually.
Awesome experience
Well worth it for the views. Try to get there early. Nice easy hiking available once up top.
Beautiful view
Oh my..what a great place.. Was visiting from Ontario Canada. Visited on
Incredible experience and well worth the price! Good, easy walking trails at the top too.
Thrilling, long ride up the mountain. Nice cafe and gift shop at the top. Excellent views. Moderately easy trails from the summit. We got there close to closing and had no wait. Visited on
Amazing!
amazing! pretty nice view
Stunning views from the summit! The staff are friendly, and the facilities and gondolas are clean. At the top of the mountain, youll find a variety of trails and a suspension bridge. The scenery is breathtaking, whether in sunny weather or on overcast, foggy mornings. While the ticket price may seem high, its definitely worth it.
The cable car is very convenient and you are not tired from taking the cable car up and down.
Views that will literally take your breath away. From the journey up in the gondola to walking the well laid tracks amongst the trees. A view at every angle of beautiful mountain tops.
Beautiful scenery, amazing cable car, worth a visit
Absolutely stunning views with well-kept trails. We spent four hours on a Wednesday morning/afternoon exploring, dining, and staring at these amazing vistas. A+
Minus 2 stars because the staff hates dogs but giving it 3 since they made the exception for my pup (but they were super rude about it). Views were great. Heads up for folks with dogs: they ask you to leave your dog tied up alone in a dog area. They told me that there is usually no concern about people messing with the dogs, although there is a history of bears and cougars in the area. Do NOT leave your dog alone!
Spectacular views. Several trails.
This is a great way to get some awesome cheater views. It s not cheap, but you can make a day of it with various hikes and views from the top. There s also a suspension bridge.
Amazing experience. Nature at its finest.
The Sea to Sky Gondola in Canada is truly one of the most amazing experiences you can have! This incredible gondola takes you on a breathtaking journey from the sea right up into the sky, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. As you ascend, you ll be treated to spectacular views of the mountains and lush forests. The ride is not just about the sights; it also shares a rich history of the native people who have cared for this land for generations. Its a perfect blend of adventure and culture, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area!
A perfect place to release all pressures. We went to sea to sky on the long weekend. There were lots of people but it was not crowded at all. We chose two trails to hang around. At October, we can even see some mountains with snow on the top which was quite impressive! Anyway, I highly recommend this place!
Amazing experience!!! One of best attractions in Vancouver!!!
Unbelievable sunsets from this can t miss hi light reel stop along the Sea to Sky Hwy. Located at the mid point between Whistler and Vancouver, this is the perfect place to pull over and take in the Supernatural beauty of Howe Sound. Best part is you can do this stop in as little as 30 mins or you can take the day and explore the incredible trail network and jaw dropping lookouts. Finish up the experience with some yummy food & refreshing drinks on the massive 9000sf patio overlooking majestic Howe Sound. Summer & winter features make this truly a worthy year ride stop when travelling the Sea to Sky.
We preferred to hike on the way up and then go down by gondola. I regret so bad about the hike as it was too hard
Amazing views. Bit pricey. Restaurant up there is really beautiful. There are few trails where you can get great views too
Without a doubt, if you visit Vancouver you have to go to this place, it is impressively beautiful, the views, the weather, the photos they will take are impressive, the total cost to go up. It is approximately 55 Americans, but it is too beautiful. 1000 percent recommended, the experience of going up to the gondola is all too beautiful
You wont be disappointed
Bloody awesome. An excellent experience for the old, young and entire family
This is the best. It was wonderful. Just do it. Highlight of my holiday.
One of the must visit places in Vancouver. It was just mesmerizing!
Just get enough money. Is it too expensive
If taking the bus, make sure to book in advance.
Great place, but poor value. $20 for a dog download ticket, they re already printing cash, but needed to add pay parking, and overpriced mediocre food. Loads of potential but clearly too much focus on the bottom line vs providing value. I d recommend a trip to Europe for the leadership team to see how it could be done.
Friendly place for families yet quite overpriced for the experience.
Get a drink at the top. Isaac the bar tender was awesome!!
Sea to sky gondola is so perfect! My family loved it. The view was so beautiful! We also went to sky pilot bridge. I would love to come here again Visited on Weekend Wait time
Offers breathtaking views of British Columbia s rugged coastline and lush mountains, making it a must-visit. The ride is smooth and scenic to experience the areas natural beauty from a unique vantage point.
So incredibly worth the money - this experience was amazing. The gondola was smooth and takes about 10 minutes to reach the summit. The hiking trails are for hikers of all kinds. Parking is included in ticket price.
Unfortunately an experience with mixed feelings. Tried to book tickets the day before (which is quite a job because you have to create all passengers and they have to sign one by one under the general terms and conditions) but this kept getting stuck at the last step. After entering the credit card details and confirming the booking, we received error code K with the message to contact customer service. No sooner said than done and a few minutes later we received an answer, even though it was already 6 p.m. (plus credit to customer service). We received the positive answer that we could keep the online price and that we could go to the counter the next day (by email) and that they would take care of it here (at the online price of the day before, being 71.35CAD per person, including taxes). The next day we were at the counter and the person said that there is indeed no problem with keeping the online price, we dont even have to show the email. However, at the time of payment the price per person was 75.55CAD, including taxes. We showed the email with the agreed price and their response was that the online price was now 75.55CAD and not the price in the email. This is set in the system and cannot be changed. We had 2 choices, either we pay the new more expensive price, or we had to turn around. This put a damper on the experience. Because we had no other choice and we still wanted to experience the experience, we paid the more expensive price. To end on a positive note, the experience itself was good. The gondolas are clean and look fairly new. Upstairs there is a suspension bridge and a restaurant where you can eat and drink.
Super fun
Wonderful spot if sunny day
Amazing place
Great times had at brews with views
