Ordered a cake, macaroons, and cookies for my fiances birthday and they were all awesome. Everyone loved the cake and macaroons, my fiance loved the sugar cookies so much that she hid the last little bit from everyone else lol. Everyone was very approachable and I would definitely go back again.

I wanted to take a moment to express my thanks to Confections Cakes. The baked goods I tried from them unfortunately did not meet expectations but when I expressed my concerns with the staff, I was blown away by their amazing customer service and their efficiency in rectifying the issue. Good customer care is rare these days so thank you kindly for being so gracious.

Terrible experience. The customer service in this place is really lacking. The owner does not care to be nice to anybody walking in. We went in there months ago for two coffees and it took over 25 minutes to get our order in while the owner walked around and ignored us the whole time. The barista didnt care to apologize at all. Ive also been in to inquire about cakes and high tea bookings and the owner did not offer any help or took us seriously. Ive seen the owner too at events and she is rude as well unless she knows you. The prices for certain items are very expensive for what you get and the quality is not good. Overall, avoid this place as there are better options with higher customer service standards.

The food and desserts are absolutely beautiful. You can see the love in each dish made. The atmosphere is fantastic, its like stepping into an art gallery. 10/10 would recommend visiting this family owned, local business. Kid-friendliness: Boardgames and incredible desserts. The skyscraper milkshakes are sure to please the kiddos.

Food was excellent. Gluten free options were available. (Not many) This however is not good place for families with little children. Great for date night or a place to get a bite to eat with friends etc.

My wife had the creme Brule waffle mimosa, I had the eggs Benny ceaser, this was hands down the best breakfast at a resturant we have had. Will definitely go back again.

Ordered cheesecake in a jar and mini cupcakes. The cheesecake was disgusting. The bottom of the jar was rock hard and I couldnt even get the Graham crust due to how hard it was. Cupcakes were old and dry. They give their old gross stock when orders are placed. Dont order from here.

The best high tea and I ve been to many in Edmonton. The owner is friendly and makes everything from scratch including the bread. Their is a lot of food per person, we each ended taking some home. Definitely a hidden gem in St. Albert!!!

Don t get me wrong, it s a cute place. But the multiple macarons I ordered all lacked any sort of flavour, and were very tiny.

One of the best cups of coffee in the YEG area and outstanding service.

I have purchased cakes twice now, after the first cake was less than my expectations I thought I would give them another try. Unfortunately same result, the cakes both times where very pleasing to the eye, but that s where the buck buck stopped. The buttermilk icing tasted like lard and left a film on your mouth, it was also over an inch thick on the outside and between the layers. The cake was very bland without texture or body, very thin falling apart. Definitely my last purchase at this bakery, $55 for a 6 inch cake that a $10 cake mix from Sobeys would have out performed, lesson learned.

Brittney made an unbelievable birthday cake, and 5 dozen cupcakes, for a Winnie the Pooh themed surprise birthday party. Customer service was excellent, everything was done on time, and the cake was perfect!! Real buttercream icing on everything. This place is amazing, I highly recommend.

Used for our wedding. Service was exceptional and product phenomenal!!! Everyone at our wedding was blown away by the cake and character toppers. Cupcakes were a hit as we had four different flavors and I think every guest had one of each.

This people are amazing. I had a birthday party to host and I ordered a cake from some other place. That order got cancelled. I was with this bakers finally. They helped me to save my son s first birthday party, made a 40 servings cake in 4 hours. Exactly what I wanted. May God bless you people .

We ordered our wedding cake through confections cake company, based off of her previous cakes we were confident she would be able to create something as nerdy as we are. Well fast forward to our wedding day not only was the cake stellar visually but the cakes were moist and so delicious. The fondant we had didnt taste like playdough like some other places it was a lovely touch to the cake and 10/10 would recommend this bakery for party cakes and wedding cakes and just all the desserts! Beautiful and amazing. My husband and I went to Confections Cake Co, for our wedding cake and cupcakes. I have never had cake or buttercream like Brittany makes! They are seriously to die for!! And her fondant work is mind blowing. My husband wanted an airplane , specifically a mosquito, on top of the cake and my gosh did Confections deliver!!

Very expensive... I bought two tiny creme Brules for 25$.. I was surprised on the size when I received it, for the price I payed and it was also very egg tasting.... nice place and service tho.. but I felt so disappointed with what I got and what I payed.

Confections did our cupcakes and cake for our wedding, they were absolutely delicious and all our guests loved them!

I am not going to deny their cakes are good, however another aspect of running a business is customer service and thats where they lack. My first time ordering with them, I called to order, no one answered so I left a message... I got a return call 4 days later.. I let that go, continue with order. I have my brother pick up the cake I ordered. Upon seeing it, they made it incorrectly. I called them in regards to this, and they apologise and offer a discount on my next cake ordered.. okay fine... 1 month later, I figure. well I might as well use them for the discount. This time I try to email. Got a response right away but they asked for a picture sample, so I provide right after... 5 days later, I email again as I havent heard back. They finally respond on day 6, quoting me $215.00 on a simple 8 round cake. stating they are willing to give 15% discount for miscommunication. I get this exact same cake quoted at a different establishment, and was quoted $120. Sorry but thats a big difference.. There are so many places available for cake orders that are quality, to over charge and to top it off take 6 days to respond to an email, Not how to run a business when there is a tone of other businesss that can do the same thing, with same quality and better customer service.

We found this little gem by accident when looking to kill some time waiting for our son while downtown St. Albert. The first striking aspect was the amazing staff including the owners who were very friendly and accommodating. The food was incredible, everything from their daily soup and sandwich to the amazing baking. The variety is great as there is everything from coffee to a range of cocktails and local craft beer. It has a great atmosphere with cool art on the walls and unique custom tables. You can sit by the fireplace on a cozy couch or at a table with a group. Perfect place to meet up with friends or even host small meetings. Highly recommended.

Stumbled on this gem while seeking somewhere less hectic than the typical chain to meet friends for tea & nibbles. With free on-street parking, the moody, artistic space provided room for easy maneuverability with a walker, and the menu offered decadent treats or a hot meal. The location is not ideal. It s tucked away in a corner in an area clearly meant more for foot traffic than a vehicle. The cookies available were neat and different! We tried the macarons. Fresh I am sure they are fine, but they re also left sitting out and uncovered. And you can taste this. The bubblegum macaron does NOT taste like bubblegum, it tastes like straight sugar. The cheesecake was ok, it s cheesecake. But after having it about an hour later both I and my partner were in the bathroom. The coffee was good, according to my partner as I don t coffee. The inside is awesome! Lots of art work, feels like a nice place to sit and just enjoy a treat. We did not sit cuz no one was really interacting with us. Quality doesn t match the price. The person there was a bit stand off-ish. Seems customer service is their main issue.

Honestly, these people are best. My original cake was a mess for a birthday event and i gave them a last minute notice of 11 hours and they were able to stretch it out and get my cake done to exacy replica and perfection of how i wanted. There cakes are best and not too sweet everybody loved it. Thanks to them for a memorable cake. Cant just stop bragging about how wonderful the staff is and how carefully they embrace every detail. I will speak about the visit and then about the ordered cake. The place is nice, food is interesting. But both times, something we wanted from the menu was not available. Maybe consider removing those before opening, taken that people scan QR codes and look online anyways? Regarding the cake- it definitely is beautiful but quarter of is is absolutely inedible. The vanilla cream is pure butter and sugar and our guests were leaving a lot of it on the plates.

For my daughters 2nd Birthday. We did some dinasour themed cupcakes. They were able to do a fabulous job and most importantly the cupcakes were amazing, moist and tasty Even the vegan cup cakes were amazing. My husband said you really couldnt tell the difference. Will be buying future cakes and cupcakes going forward.

They baked a super delicious raspberry lemon pie for me on pi day , it was the best pie Ive ever had from a bakery. Beats all other pie places in the Edmonton area. So much flavor, great texture. Ill be trying out their cakes next in April.

Coffee was very nice and delicious. Brunch was average. Hollandaise sauce was a touch bland. Chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. Art was well done. Service was okay. The server whom served our food, very lovely. The server whom took our order came across as rude and confrontational.

Waitress was rude... will not go back again.

Confections Cake did a fabulous job on my sons Roblox cake. My husband had mistaken the dates and they were still able to get it done on short notice. Were really happy with how it came out and more importantly our son loved it! My husband also said the atmosphere in the bar was great, so well be taking our boys there for a treat in the near future. Thank you!

As aforementioned in the other reviews the ambiance and aesthetic is so wonderful here! Tons of local art you can purchase and the staff are so friendly. I really enjoyed the music as well! Not too loud so you can have a conversation. And its family/no curses. Wait times are not long, the food is decadent and delicious, and on top of all else it is local! Support your local businesses! I had the Eggs Benedict Waffle and a GIANT milkshake. The Hollandaise is sauce is zesty and savoury and the milkshake is topped with so many goodies such as cookies, a cupcake, ice cream, Italian ButterCream icing, and cotton candy! I felt like a child on Christmas day. A wonderful experience. 100% would recommend and am definitely going back for seconds, thirds, and fourths. In short: AWESOME.

Excellent place, atmosphere is great, a little bit dark but its ok. Their smoothies are great, but expect to pay premium price for it, once or twice a year not bad. Their cake slices are not that big, I was expecting something bigger for the $9 a piece. Definitely a twice a year location.

Me and my mother just stopped in on our Lil adventure. She got a layered fruit explosion piece of cake. I got a coconut lemon cake in a jar! Absolutely amazing! The whipped cream is so light and creamy! Moist lovely cakes! Delicious ^.^

Amazing desserts!

Bought a full cheesecake for a party, just what they had ready-made. Cake was fan-freaking-tastic. However, it cost sooo much. The Cheesecake Cafe sells amazing full cakes for $45... What I payed at here was over 50% more than that! Supporting local is important but staying affordable makes it easier for your customers to do so.

I will occasionally drop by here to pick up a treat for my staff, and each and every time I come, I always leave feeling like a genuinely valued customer. Kim in particular is an excellent person to deal with, especially to someone indecisive like myself. I strongly appreciate her patience with me and her knowledgeable suggestions. Thank you Kim! (September 22nd Update: Came here again and received, as per usual, excellent service and a marvelous popcorn caramel cake. Wish this would let me leave a review every time I came here)

This was my first experience with Confections Cake Co. and I would highly recommend them. The cake they made for my Moms 90th birthday not only looked stunning, but was super moist, flavourful and just the perfect amount of sweetness. An insanely great birthday cake. It tastes as good as it looks. A birthday party hit. Vanilla and fruit on the top and chocolate on the bottom. Lots of luscious butter cream. Good job Confections! Well be back!

I came in with my kids for cake, 20 minutes after they opened. They only had 2 kinds, Cinnamon or Vanilla because apparently someone bought them all in the short time they were open. It took 25 mins for them to bring us 4 pieces of cake. There was only one other table of 2 drinking coffee, so it wasn t busy. I cant give a local business a lower score than 3 stars but we won t be returning customers.

I have now ordered 2 cakes from this amazing place. I live in northern BC and ordered for family in town there and it was so easy, they raved how it was the best cake they have ever had, and they have been the most beautiful cakes I have ever seen. Thank you for making my families day and making the process so easy!

We are getting married soon, and have been sampling tasting boxes, cupcakes and cake slices from different bakeries around St. Albert and Edmonton - I can say by far this is probably the more disappointing location we tried. The buttercream was very heavy and had a curdled like textured, almost like it s been left out then refrigerated or rewhipped. It was inedible. We thought perhaps the macarons would be nice, and do a tower for our guests, however they are super stale and crumbly like they ve been like out on a shelf far too long. I wanted to support local as I live in the community, but unfortunately it will not be this bakery.

I have never been disappointed with Confections. They ve made cakes for my sons 1st and 2nd birthdays and multiple friends parties. They always make our cakes perfect down to the littlest details. I swear they make their cake with love. I ll never get my cakes from anywhere else. I absolutely recommend Confections.

I asked them to make a cake for my puppys 1st year birthday and wow! they out performed my expectations. As an added bonus, the cake was delicious too! but wait theres more! they also gave me an accompanying cake for Freddy Mercury to share with his doggy friends!!! The big cake was for his human guests to eat and the little cake on the right was for his puppy friends to eat! the puppies had a great time!

Incredible cakes! I order one for every occasion now. I normally don t eat icing on cakes because it s too sweet and overwhelming but their icing is THE BEST and it s not overloaded. Never had a bad experience and they accommodated for a last minute order before too.

Ordered my first custom cake from here the other day. The cake looked absolutely amazing, It was even better when I discovered it didnt just look awesome but it was also delicious. We had cupcakes and a cake made for our roaring 20s theme wedding and they tasted and looked amazing. Everything was super customized down to the gold wrappers on the cupcakes. We had our own cake topper that was placed for us by them as well. Those who tasted the cupcakes kept asking if we had more leftover! Amazing quality and taste! The cake stand was a bit wobbly so we almost had a hilarious disaster when cutting the cake but we didn t and I m looking forward to future cakes and cupcakes from them!

Went for a treat before back to school shopping . OMG these milkshakes were amazing!! The milkshakes themselves were very tasty and the toppings were like none other cookies ice cream sandwiches, doughnut, brownie, Kit Kat, peach rings, cotton candy!!! My fiance suprised me with 4 pieces of their cake , all different kinds, my birthday. Since its a social distancing birthday he was able to arrange with them a time for pickup and they were ready for him! He said the customer service was great and they tasted amazing (as Ive tried all of them already) highly reccomend. You can tell by the taste it is quality products as well! Im very picky with cheesecake and 10/10 would recommend .

Wife and I have talked for years about the need for an adult cocktail and dessert place. We would go out for dinner, eat, see the dessert menu and be disappointed at most places. On the way home we would talk about a need for a dessert/cocktail place where we could spend the last hour. Today we found it.

Gave it one star because there is no zero option. Seats are horribly uncomfortable, spinach salad is a cup of salad with half strawberry, 2 raspberriers and 2 blueberries. And one crumb of cheese, smaller that a raspberry. Waitress wanted to keep menus on the table, even though there was barely any room for our food.

Visited this beautiful place last week. What a great interior design! Walls covered with amazing art pieces and furnishings picked with great taste. I ordered belgian waffle with poached eggs and veggies and was very impressed. My friends ordered salad with goat cheese and got a handful of spinach with almost no cheese and very little of anything else. Staff was very pleasant. Only thing I really disliked are very uncomfortable chairs.

My husband and I have been to this bakery twice now and each time, we have had amazing food. Their hollandaise sauce is the best I have ever had. Their desserts are great (their chocolate cake is fantastic) and the atmosphere is wonderful. The service is great and the owners are so friendly and gracious. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

THEY corrected the overcharging that they did. So I am revising my review. My son and I enjoyed the baking class. They are a newer business so I am sure they have a learning curve like all of us. They make beautiful cakes and I would love to try their cheese cake they looked good. Just remember to tell them if you think you are not getting the same share of ingredients or make sure to be on time and clarify the charges. If your child is special needs go early and tal to them about their needs , they are helpful with the special needs children.

What a great experience. Had a cake emergency. lol. Brittany was so awesome and helped us save the day. While other companies were closed on Good Friday she rocked us a cake. Cant say enough how great full we are for her help. And what a cool store. Will be sending all our business their way. 5 star all the way.

These guys are awesome. They make great food, great coffee, and amazing desserts. The place always has local art up on the walls and they do so much to help and work with the community. I love their furniture too, their tables are re-purposed from car parts, reclaimed wood, other machines and all sorts of interesting stuff. Nothing is duplicated. Live music, excellent friendly service, an artist painting, local art for sale as part of the decor. The cosmos were delicious! I cant say enough about how unique and fun this place is. It was also their one year anniversary that day, heres to many more! Nicely done!!! Highly recommend, great menu, great prices, classes, and so much more!

They make a great iced mocha. Black Rifle coffee (Canadian Headquarters, here in St. Albert) is always awesome. The food is amazing and incredible talent on the cakes. Great owners, excellent, hardworking entrepreneurs trying to do great things for St. Albert. My only shop in St. Albert to bring clients for coffee. Thank you for being open at a good time!

We booked a private event at Confection Cake Company and couldn t have been more pleased! Owners, Brittany and Jarrett are fantastic to deal with and so accommodating and flexible. The decor inside is beautiful and the food and deserts put out were not only absolutely delicious, but works of art. Alex (who was working the night of our event) and Brittany made sure the hot food was timed perfectly for when all the guests had arrived and were always happy to help out or answer any questions we had. Brittany even took care of the guest of honour s food bill and kindly allowed us to stay past our allotted end time for the party. All the guests were super impressed with the venue, food and service and we will all definitely be coming back! Heartfelt thanks to the team at Confection Cake Company for making our evening a perfect one!

Owners, Brittany and Jarrett are fantastic to deal with!I used this company for a wedding cake this July! Price wise they were very reasonable but what stood out was how sweet and accommodating Brittany was! She made the process so easy! I provided her with the sign on the top of the cake and the flowers and greenery and she decorated it so nicely! The cake was also sooo yummy the guests raved about it! We were not going to have a cake at our wedding and it turned out soo amazing and I am so glad we did!

Brittney did a fantastic job on our wedding cake. She was very easy and pleasant to deal with, and she created exactly what we wanted. Also, it was delicious! De-boned Turkey class was a lot of fun, if not just a touch disturbing (I can still hear the sounds of the bones breaking). Brit & co. were friendly, clear with directions and SUPER patient with us and our tedious- slow progress with the bird. Educational & enjoyable evening.

I have been to the storefront and ordered a custom 3D cake privately, and I highly recommend both. The custom cake was stunning and easily the best cake I ve ever eaten, so glad they have a bakery location now so I don t have to wait for another special occasion!

Great decor inside, staff was friendly too! Ordered berry cake and an espresso- cake was amazing! Espresso was okay, didn t come on a plate or with sugar, but still okay. Worth a visit!

Where do I even start with how wonderful this Dessert bar is? I went in right when it opened - as soon as the door was unlocked I was there! I had been waiting for what seemed like forever, but thats only because dessert is my favourite thing! Once it opened - I was so delightfully happy! Ive been slowly but surely trying everything on the menu - and I dont even live in St. Albert but its worth the drive! The staff are wonderful and kind. The space is beautifully decorated with local art. Even the tables and chairs are locally made! I am an admitted cheesecake snob - not just any cheesecake will do. Confections Cake Co. is my number 1 pick! Trust me folks - Ive eaten cheesecake in more than one country and this one has all the things I want! I recommend it to everyone - sometimes I just go get a piece and bring it home to have for later! Get yourself in your car and get over to this dessert bar - see I rhymed! Its a great addition to St. Alberts downtown, its locally owned, and its fantastic!

Went here a couple weeks ago, was very intrigued by the newness. Decor seems made for a pub its so dark, but the local art is a bonus. Prices are high and I wouldnt complain if items were higher quality. Its very clear they freeze the cake and thaw it, and Id hate to think they do that with everything since they open so early. Not impressed.

This place is so endearing! A friend and I went last night to catch up over coffee and cake and it was awesome. Their hot chocolate was perfect and so was the berry cake I had. Service was good and the atmosphere was very cozy and relaxing. The selection of adult drinks was awesome as well, definitely made me wish I hadnt been the one driving. I cant wait to bring my boyfriend here for a date sometime. Will definitely be coming back in the near future- mostly to try some of the freshly made macarons! So glad a little place like this exists and is close to home.

Great cheesecake. It is tough to find good quality cheesecake, even when people specialize in desserts. The charcuterie was decent.
