Do yourself a favor and wait..... it can be a bit of a wait to get a table but worth every second of that wait. From the continuous coffee, reg or dark to the sour dough toast.

2.7 stars. They don t know how to properly make scrambled eggs and they are using too much bleach or not rinsing their dishes well enough after washing because the water smelled like bleach the food was ok

Toast is an amazing place to eat. The staff are friendly, and the food is second to none. There is usually a bit of a wait for a table, but the food is worth the wait every time. The staff are always extremely friendly. In my opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in the area.

I don t even think there s enough stars on google to express how wonderful this place is! We ve been here twice, once in September, and yesterday for my birthday. The food is amazing each time! The service was incredible! They were able to accommodate gluten and lactose free for my friend. The owner was present. She is so humble and kind. Helen was our server. She was so funny, accommodating and amazing! Thank you so much for the wonderful dining experiences. I will be back again! Dietary restrictions: My friend is gluten and lactose intolerant. They were very able to accommodate his allergies.

Toast is a remarkable establishment with an impeccable reputation for its exceptional cuisine and outstanding customer service. I had the pleasure of frequenting Toast when I resided in the vicinity, and despite its current distance, I still make the effort to visit for its unparalleled ambiance, friendly staff, and delectable menu.

Was told to check them out by a coworker who recommeded them and Ive gone a few times and it hasnt lived up to the hype which is dissapointing.

Very good!! Had the smoked salmon eggs benny - chefs kiss!! Hubby had the rose and shine - very good as well!! It was packed in there for a weekday, so it was kind of loud, but the service was quick and friendly. Food tasted great, came out hot and quickly. Cool that the artwork seemed to be for sale gallery style. 10/10 would return!!

I was really looking forward to this place, but unfortunately was disappointed. The service was exceptionally slow (including getting our order taken and receiving the bill). It took about 25 minutes after being seated for a server to present to our table. When we asked another server for our bill, we were informed our server went to her car and we would have to wait for her to return. The food was okay overall. Crepes were good. The french toast topping was overwhelming. The restaurant was relatively busy, so perhaps other patrons had a better experience.

Me and my boyfriend are new to Alberta and we wanted to find a nice breakfast place so we came here. The food was amazing, there were art pieces all around us to look at while we ate, and the service was excellent Bianca was so kind and made it an even better experience. Thank you and we will be back for sure!

There was a 15 min wait to get a table, but once we were seated service was prompt. Our waitress was quite friendly. The food wasnt extravagant, just your standard breakfast offerings, but it all tasted very good.

I ve been coming here for years. The owner, Ann and her staff are A+. Ann not only is an incredible female entrepreneur but a gracious host and big community supporter. We love the food, atmosphere and company here and wish them much success as they continue to expand.

I went here today with my mother and sister for brunch during our outing. My mother ordered The Pacific with crab cakes and eggs benedict, my sister ordered the Nutella Banana Crepes and I ordered the Tex Mex Poutine. Everything was excellent and the wait wasnt as long as the time we were here before. This time we waited about 5-10 minutes and were promptly brought to our seats and served once a table was available. The food was amazing and I cannot wait to heat up my leftovers! Though, the Tex Mex Poutine was supposed to have spicy sausage but it was just salty honestly, like salami! I actually quite liked it. The service was great! Wheelchair accessibility: Great!

I was there for my birthday with 6 ladies, we got a table made up very quick, server was very friendly, the food was very good and we all got it at the same time, and after everyone paid the owner came to our table and asked what is the occasion and came back with a $25 gift card for myself as a birthday present. We ve been coming to Toast since its early days. The food has always been great and it s one of the few places my picky eater kids love to go out and eat at. There s a reason there s a line during peak hours! The staff and owners have always been lovely and attentive. My six year old told me to tell you all she gives this place twelve thumbs up ^.^

Toast is a nice cozy little restaurant that provides great food and coffee. Highly recommended if you have not been there.

A chill spot which is usually pretty busy because the food is good and the staff are so nice. Wait times are generally pretty fast to get in.

Did you ever go to a restaurant and look around at the other tables and see nice looking food only to be extremely disappointed when your food arrives? I had the Classic Burger (no onion). The burger patty was small, hard and tasteless. It was just a very sad excuse for a burger. Maybe Toast should consider taking it off the menu. At the very least, I hope this review warns others to rethink their pick.

A very very popular place. You may have to wait a bit to get in, but it is worth the wait. A cozy eatery with lots of food provided. Be aware that unfortunately it closes at 3:00 PM

Small place, was very busy went at 11am, I got in within 10min of waiting. Food came out quickly as well. Good food, had the bacon, cheddar 2 crepe breakfast. I think I would have been nice if it came with a little fruit on the side. Juat had 2 crepes and a small cup of sour cream with it.

Tried this place for breakfast but what we ordered was sub par. The food pictures look delicious, but what we ordered tasted very synthetic. The House special/signature french toast had canned apples, canned caramel, and the French toast was not well coated and cooked. The Rise and Shine, was palatable. Nothing to write home about. Service was good. Guessing the service and the ambience is what is keeping this place at 4+ stars. Maybe this place is more known for their Bennies, but I wouldnt recommend or return to this place in a hurry.

Great place to go for breakfast/brunch!

It was my first time of going to Toast in St Albert, I was on my own, it was early and I needed breakfast. The menu was full of wonderful dishes but I chose the Surfer Eggs Benedict, absolutely fabulous. It came with melon slices and homefries, I couldnt eat all the homefries, I can highly recommend this fantastic establishment.

I have been to this place quite a few times. Whist it has good Gluten Free protocols, it does not offer a GF potato at breakfast. The potato that is offered is a pre made coated potato, that is not GF. This seems wrong for an Irish restaurant. Surely a pan fried potato could be offered. It s a breakfast staple. As I don t live in St. Albert I came upon this place by accident. We were in the area and were actually going to go to Famoso but they were under renovations and then I saw Toast! I had heard good things. Well, it was so good that if I lived there it would be hard to stay away. The food was outstanding. The service was outstanding. You know it s good when the place is full. I m not one for crowds or noise so the only drawback for me was the smallish space and noise level due to it being busy. The food made me forget all that!! Don t wait, GO! GO NOW! Tell your friends!! I certainly will. Fabulous!!

Still as good as it ever was. Fantastic menu, tons of options in each breakfast food group especially Bennys that I love. I had the mushroom benny and the hollandaise was so good my sister asked for some for her omelette... Both girls had delicious omlettes and some of their tasty sourdough toast. Service was bright friendly and unrushed. Orders were correct and came reasonably quickly. Show up early because by 9:30 theres a line at the door .........and no wonder! Great food. Service was quick and spot on. Choice of regular or dark roast coffee. A little Ireland in everything on the menu.

The Avocado Toast was delicious and filling. Toast is always busy because the food is so good. Be prepared to wait during busy times (lunch hour, Sunday bruch). It is worth the wait though!

We are visiting St. Albert from out of town and a quick google search will show that Toast is rated as one of the best restaurants in St. Albert. Unfortunately, this was not our experience. We went for lunch yesterday and ran into a number of issues. One of our water glasses had a very prominent lipstick stain on it from a previous customer, and my side of fries had 2 hairs in it. The food was okay. There was a mix up with our order and we were served pancakes instead of our order of French Toast. I understand that mistakes happen but all of these incidents combined made for a disappointing dining experience. Unfortunately for us, this place did not live up to the hype.

There is nothing bad about Toast, its a perfectly fine little restaurant. But there is also nothing particularly outstanding about it either. If you are looking for a cozy little place for a pretty simple breakfast you can do worse. But you can also do better. I would go back, but wouldnt pick it first.

The food was great, the manager was very nice, I did not want the mushrooms, beans or tomatoes so she gave me a bit more protein which was greatly appreciated. The only reason why I cant bring myself to give 5 stars is because my waitress seemed miserable. Very short. I decided to tip over 50% on my meal not because she was exceptional, but maybe it would put her in a better mood.

Loved this place! I ordered the Avocado Toast and it was amazing! I was skeptical at first because I dont usually have salad for breakfast but Im glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something new. The service was great as well. If I lived in St. Albert, Id definitely be a regular.

Warning, if youre going on a Sunday morning make sure to go early ! We made it just in time before there was a line up Wonderful breakfast! Eggs Benny was top knotch! Definitely going back to try more (really want to check out the mushroom brie one). But we only saw our server once and waited ages for the bill unfortunately. But will be back !

The omelette I had was great, and the hash-browns!! The waitress we had was very good too, quick service and lots of coffee refills. Restaurant was almost full on a Monday morning, always a good sign. Would recommend and will be back again.
