Was super bummed to walk in this evening at 7:30, only to be turned away because the girls turned the grill off and wanted to close early. Please change the hours of business if you close early, as well as turn off open sign .

So awful!!! Wow this is the first and last time ordering at this location. It seems like they don t know how to cut vegetables.

This OPA was good, but not like other locations. I ordered an Opa Platter and the potato was not well-cooked or soft. There were no Kalamata olives in the Greek salad, which is crazy to me! Its Greek salad, cmon guys! And the rice was definitely not as seasoned and flavourful as Ive had elsewhere. Both the Manning and the University of Alberta locations are better! I feel bad for my complaint because the lady at the counter was so nice! Good service, poor food.

The rice was undercooked and the Greek salad had no dressing and basically was a tomato salad no Greek presence. Will not go again. We had to recook the rice at home and use a dressing (not Greek) for the salad. Waste of money. Parking: Lots of parking

Amazing place and exceptional staff. I don t usually like gyro and calamari, but these guys know how to make it well. I asked for extra toppings, the owner said no problem. Would recommend 10/10.

Went to the St. Albert location and was extremely disgusted as there was a DEAD FLY in my chicken wrap. I was even more disappointed by how rude and unprofessional the staff was. I kindly asked for a refund and the guy working did not apologize but instead implied it was my own fault because they don t have flies and it did not come from there . Safe to say I will not be returning to this location and will be showing the video proof to everyone I know.

Live about 2hrs out so dont get there often but its always worth it!

Well first of all I have to say that the place stank, and looked like it needed a very good cleaning and that is what I could see, It worries me what are the sanity areas are like in the back, if that is how much care is taken to the seating area. Clean your act up and have some standards

I keep trying to give this restaurant a chance and so I have been ordering from SkipTheDishes three or four times this year. Unfortunately, three times in a row. I have either gotten somebody else s order or an item that was not ordered and not the items that I did order And thankfully SkipTheDishes has been reasonable and giving me a refund for the missing items. However, we just ordered last night and a $23 souvlaki and salad combination was not delivered and its place was an order of fries. I tried calling the restaurant to complain because I know SkipTheDishes drivers can t do anything about it And their phone went to voicemail and I couldn t even leave a message because the inbox was full. I complain to SkipTheDishes asking for a refund for the missing item and they inevitably said they would not do a refund for anything which was very disappointing . So we spent $52 for two orders and only one of us got what they wanted except for the skewers of meat weren t what we ordered It was a different kind of meat. I m sorry I can never eat at this location again because it s been a complete waste of time and money . I hope other people have better experiences.

Always great food, the service is fast and friendly, the portion sizes are really good as well. I would recommend the calamari, best in the quick food industry. Vegetarian options: Not hard to get your veggies here. Parking: 2 or 3 stalls in front, but there is a large parking lot at Save on near by. Kid-friendliness: Great kids menu

Their summer salad was really good and the calamari was ok. Kids enjoyed the skewers and cheese sandwich. Service was excellent! I would recommend fixing the screens as they were not working and maybe cleaning the place a bit more. This was our second time there - the first time was not a good experience, hence why it took us 4 years to go back. Overall good experience, mostly because of the excellent service. Kid-friendliness: The ladies working there were super nice in accommodating the kids requests.

I tend to go here regularly, but have noticed the Greek salad is not very fresh. Now there s only tomatoes and cucumbers in it and sometimes the cucumbers are questionable if they are fresh or not. I rarely get a piece of purple onion or green pepper in my Greek salad. In my personal opinion I think they are making too large of batches and trying to just use it up with the cheapest ingredients. I stopped going for a while, but decided to give them another shot. Still not the freshest compared to what it used to be. Some days are very disappointing

Ive been to Opa!s before. This is also an Opa!

I usually like eating at Opa a few times a year. Today I ate at this location and was disappointed. Potato was cold, Greek salad was giant hunks of mushy cucumber. Store was dark, cold, and dirty. Bathroom is dirty. Atmosphere of store seemed depressed and low. And I m pretty sure there was only one lady working there.

Not worth it , the price we paid for food.

If i dan give 0, my score for you guys would be zero, this is the calamari order we got from you guys. That includes the Bread crumbs, I guess this is one way of cheating your customers specially skip the dishes.

Having been a semi-regular customer of this location for a few years. My last visit (10th January 2022), will be my last. 1st they tried to give me another customers order. 2nd they gave my wife and I the complete wrong meal. 3rd I had to explain the difference between Cesar and Greek salad. 4th the Giros was burnt. Needless to say my wife and I will not be going back.

As nearly a weekly patron to this store we have been left disappointed with our past 3 orders. From completely forgetting my sons chicken skewer to the lack of sauce and only 4 tiny pieces of lamb on my wrap. Sad to see it go downhill .

I was hoping for a great tasting Greek salad. Since the name is Opa (literally Greek) youd think it would be good. Veggies were fresh and I was served a big portion, Ill give them that. But to use GOLDEN ITALIAN dressing on the salad was a no go for me. I wont be back. It was basically a garden salad with a few olives an a bit of feta cheese an they called it a Greek salad?

I waited at the counter for 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging any of the customers waiting in line. . There was even a customer behind me that walked out before I did. It is surprising that with 3 staff working, that they werent able to handle the amount of customers in the restaurant. Terrible service

1210 pm and the open light was off no one on the grill and no workers in the front . They thought I was a delivery driver driver when they finally came up front. Water all over the floor chairs up what a train wreck. Ended up leaving

Horrible service - had to ask for vegetable topping on my bowl even tho it is advertised with them, got half a bowl of rice ( food portions are absolutely terrible) - definitely don t recommend this location to anyone.

Pita Wraps chefs kiss!!

What a disappointment! From the moment I walked on the very sticky floors to the counter to order, being told there was no lamb to do a wrap with and then being asked if I was confused because I inquired if they had dolmades. Then, being told well we have lamb but it will take 10 minutes if you want to wait ! The female staff member had not cleaned her work station, did not want to cook the lamb squire, and did not offer utensils or napkins for my order. I will not be going here again! Very disappointed today.

We ordered a couples week as part of our Wednesday Take Out. It was +30 and there was no air conditioning. I felt horrible for the staff as you can see they were trying to survive heat. Plus our food made all of us ill. I should have known better with the humidity in the restaurant, but if the air conditioning cannot operate in hi temperatures, then close for the day. It is a risk to their staff and patrons.

We usually love coming here for the delicious food and generous helpings. I went in on a Friday afternoon before my work shift, at 2:45, and was told they were closed till around 5. I went out of my way to drive to the northern part of St Albert to go there, and the guy said hes closed. It made no sense to me, as the hours say 11-9! Very dissapointed and probably wont take the chance going back if they make up their own hours.

Came in, waited over 5 minutes before we asked if they would take our order. They rudely said no we have a big order it will take a while.

I ate in lot of different Opa restaurants throughout the years. This location had the smallest portions, other locations serve much bigger portions and taset is much better at other locations.

Been to this Opa s before and always had good service. But today at 8:20pm I was told they are closed???? Even thou sign says 9 it s disappointing. So maybe going forward please update your hours

First time in my 12 years of eating at Opa, that I was completely dissapointed from the bottom of my heart. This location makes the most awful Opa food, Ive ever tasted out of all the Opa Ive tried across Canada. Not only is the crouton was old, Caesar salad was 4 times less than other locations, same with portion of rice, like its only given to a child portion of rice, and disgusting rice honestly. Worst tasting greek potatoes ever, what a huge disgrace to be running the Opa brand. To think these people who makes the food is trying to make this location go out of business or what, absolutely dissapointed, I rather go back to any Edmonton location. I would never recommend this location.

2 pm changing the oil? I can not believe that they decided to change oil at a busy time and also the lady tells me it will take 45 minutes to change it, if want I can wait I know it will not take that long to change it unless you spend your time gossiping in the back of the store

I think they must have been understaffed. Whoever owns the place should understand you cant have only 2 people running a store, to put together complex orders and then have someone run the till. Im trying to pay for something and the staff cant even get to the till. Who runs this place ?

Not enough being done for cleaning, using the same bowl to season countless orders of calamari ETC. Im actually very upset that we spent $30 to both feel sick all night. There is one girl doing almost everything and her boss is working the grill and she is working at maximum speed just to keep up with customers and skip orders and the phone all at once lol and doesnt possibly have a chance to keep everything fresh, its easy to see in person. The hard working girl employee deserves a raise and buddy needs to hire more help in my opinion or maybe your fridge is broken because my stomach is seriously unhappy right now. Thanks a lot. First and last visit unfortunately.

Absolute garbage ! Was fathers day, and my wife called to place an order so when I was out running errands I could just stop in and pick the order up. She called and the person working asked her to hold on a minute which is fine , puts the phone down and she was just in limbo for close to 20 minutes. So she hung up and couldnt get through again because their end was off the hook. So I cut my errend running short to go there and the person working said theyre closing in 5 minutes... Ok well my wife called you and you just left her on the hook in limbo, and then said oh well sorry I cant serve you anymore its 5 minutes till we close. I used to work at Opa! When I was in university when it was just a Calgary based franchise. I have worked several times along the man that started the company and the level of customer service and quality of food has gone down hill severely since I worked there. Opa is no better than MacDonalds anymore.

Whenever I go to Canada, I definitely eat this opa, heart does it, it is so tasty and clean, the staff is also friendly, 5 stars from my side

Terrible! Ordered on skip the dishes and the order was gross and wrong! The pita bread was soggy, the Greek salad was a cesar salad, the calamari was one layer on the bottom and looked like someone had been eating it and no sauce, beef souvlaki was dry and cold and looked discusting. We live 5 mins from the Opa and took it all back. Didnt even get the proper refund as she couldnt do it, so took less money to get out of there. Other people were waiting their food and their meat and pita was sitting out and getting cold only to find out they have no Greek salad! Wow, terrible.

We went to take our kids out for lunch as a treat. Wanted to try something new for them and so we went to Opa. We order their meals and 2 ice water. When we paid, I checked the receipt and we were charged $4.81 for two ice water. The lady who served us did not say anything about the charge when we were ordering. I asked her why and she said it was for the cups. $4.81 for 2 disposable cups. I told her I wanted a refund and she did so immediately without any issues. She had rung it in as combo pop apparently that is how it is done for water... Both ladies wore masks, however, we realized after that the lady cooking the food did not wear her mask over her nose effectively making the mask redundant. When we entered the restaurant there were 2 customers eating their lunch, and left shortly after we arrived. The table was not sanitized during the 35 minutes we were there. Tables were decently spaced.

Excellent portions. I ordered a chicken souvlaki OPA! Platter, with a salad dressing swap due to allergies. When I requested information about allergens in foods, the till employee immediately grabbed the printed chart and looked it up. There was a slight miscommunication between the employees and they almost gave me the dressing I could not eat safely, but I confirmed and the mistake was caught and corrected. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, the lemon potato delicious. The chicken was tender and tasty, the naan fluffy and fresh baked tasting, the rice was the same as everytime I go to OPA! Always worth stopping in.

I used to go to this location all the time, and loved it! There was two ladys that worked there and it was clean and friendly. However I went in today with my daughter and husband .The Lady serving us was not covering her nose with her mask as we know it is Mandatory. There was a man sitting one table over from us. they never cleaned his table when he was done.. due to us being in phase 2 of COVID 19 this is concerning. Then I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and my daughters hands and there was no Hand soap. I let the lady at the front desk know, she proceeded to tell me to use the mens bathroom. This is disgusting to me considering the times that we are in.

This was the only Opa we ever went to...until today. We usually get them to make a fresh salad, if there are no other patrons in the line. We do this because the premade mix is loaded with too many onions and soggy tomatoes, and we like our salad without. They have done this about 20 times prior, they would even bring it to our table. Today the girl at the front explained they cannot make our salad any more as it is a premade mix. My wife said fine, just pick out the tomatoes and onions out of the mix. The male co worker then rolled his eyes and turned around. After that display, we walked out. I do not have an issue with employees following new policy, nor do I feel entitled to anything. I do not expect attitude from employees at businesses I frequent. I was a kitchen supervisor in a Greek restaurant that had a show on the food network. I could handle special requests from 40 tables with two of us running the kitchen. I guess our request was too much for the two employees serving nobody when we came in. Opa no longer cares what the customer wants to eat. The eye roll was a nice touch, enjoy my review!

We have never had a bad meal here. Everything is always made fresh, salads are great especially the Greek salad and one of the best parts is a friendly hello when you walk in the door. Portion sizes are more than enough, atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is extremely clean. They can be busy and even when they are, you get a goodbye when you leave. Awesome service, great staff and we never hesitate to go there anytime!
