Authentic Irish Bar in the Heart of St Albert, delicious home made food & ice cold beers. Not forgetting our amazing staff & management who work so hard to make this bar feel like home & welcome old and new friends. Slainte (Irish Cheers to Health)
Friday November 29,204 What a fat place! Great food, live entertainment and the best service! Sorry, I forgot the server’s name. I think it’s Lisa or Sarah? We were there for my birthday and the server as EXCELLENT!! Thank you much for adding such special attention for my celebration!! 🎉 👍🏻👍🏻
Stopped for a Sunday lunch and had the fish and chips. Very large portion for a reasonable price. Meal was decent and service was very good. Will be back
OMG best wings I've ever had. I ate alone and don't drink alcohol which usually results in really poor service. Not this time. The gal was wonderful and made me feel very welcome. I'll be back for sure.
This is my favourite bar to go to when I need a night out! I usually go on Saturday nights when it’s karaoke night…so fun! The service is always amazing, the food is delicious, and they make the best deep fried pickles I’ve ever had. I have to give a shout out to Emma, she has been my waitress quite a few times and is absolutely amazing and so sweet, always working her butt off and providing the best service even when it’s crazy busy.
Great service! All the staff are just amazing and so accommodating. Especially Kristen and Mel. Food is great, prices are reasonable and lots of great happy hour and other specials. Atmosphere is always cheerful and everyone feels welcome there. A St. Albert gem!
Awesome little Irish pub with fantastic atmosphere. I went during supper rush, so the service wasn't super quick. But that's to be expected and they did a fine job. As for the food, we got a bunch of sharable food to try a few different things and wow. It was all great, but the highlight was definitely the mini stuffed yorkshires. I can't recommend these enough. They were so good I'm considering going back today for seconds!
On the hottest day of this summer we ventured to Dicey's, sat on the sweet oasis of a patio and had a most lovely dining experience in spite of the 40°C temperature. The service was stellar, the beer refreshingly cold (brand from Calgary, see pic), prices shockingly decent, and the fish 'n chips sheer PERFECTION! You don't even know, people....I ate the whole portion of coleslaw, and usually that's a sketchy prospect, at best. Dicey Reillys , however, has nailed it. Will certainly make the trip to dine here again!
I would like to say ... ""WOW" did this place ever change from when it was O'Malley's pub. It's no longer dark and dingy and the the bar up against the far wall now vs. in the middle of the room, it really opens it up and lets some light from the frontage of windows flood in. Everyone that works there that I've encountered has been excellent to deal with. They have Rail Head Lager on tap as their house beer and it is always the price that other establishments will have during happy hour their house tap beer, I believe it's $4.50 a pint. So of course being an Irish pub I must have the fish and chips, this is how i rate Irish pubs! Huge points for having malt vinegar in a bottle, not in packets, I hate it when it's in packets. The plate came out steaming hot with hand cut fries and well battered, delightfully crispy looking fish, and the slaw was amazing! The portion was fantastic, I wanted to absolutely love it. I did find the fish to be a touch bland with not much in the was of flavor in the batter. All in all, I found the meal to be good value and overall I couldn't complain too much about it. I have had some pretty atrocious fish and chips and this was far from that. On another visit I had their deluxe burger and for $16.00 it came with cheese and 4 pieces of bacon. I had the fries and gravy as well. The taste was delicious in the burger, I had just wish the homemade patty hadn't baseballed leaving a lot more bun that patty. And in my opinion the gravy was lacking flavor and far too watery. I felt like it was more appropriate to have with a beef dip, when I have fries and gravy I want it thick and meaty tasting. I do look forward to trying something new here, I would recommend this place to anyone and I will be back. Update in my review: still love this place and the regular staff treats the group of us that go like gold!
Best eggs benny in St. Albert. Maybe even all of Edmonton. Awesome housemade hollandaise and the best hashbrowns ever. Best price foe a real benny anywhere. If you are a benny fan you have to try it for yourself. Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 till 2 pm Food
Food was great, moderate price. Had the Yorkshire pudding appy and fich and chips. Fantastic atmosphere. Great service.
First time there with wife. Had good live music. Ordered fries, were so good we ordered seconds.
Great Guinness, good pub atmosphere, wonderful staff, food is great. All around a solid place to stop in with friends for drink and eats.
Excellent service and great food.
Unprofessional. Service hung up on me when asking questions over the phone.
Trivia night is the best time! Thursdays 7-9
I just went in for a quik beer great new place, i will be trying the menu next time
Great staff. Great atmosphere. Food is just as good . We will be back .
My wife and I enjoy dropping in for a beer and food. Very nice atmosphere and friendly place. Good happy hour prices and menu!
We had chicken wraps and they were very good.
Great food, great atmosphere
Great spot for some grub, service could be quicker but overall not bad.
The food and service was really good we had to wait for a little while but the food and service made up for it excellent. Would go back again in the future.
Truly amazing. Not one thing was wrong with my experience at this pub.
Great pub food and good selection beer. Small Irish pub atmosphere. Food
Awesome pub. Great food. Great atmosphere
Great place!!! Always have fun there!
Dicey Rileys is a wonderful place to eat. Staff and food are fantastic! Food
Few Irish pubs anymore but this one is great!
What a big party this place is. My brother and I had Fish and chips with Cole slaw. Excellent fast service with a smile and laughter. Great place. Ask for a Burt Reynolds shooter.
Always a great pint of Guinness
Had the fish and chips, big portions and tasted great!! Beer options were good, Sea Change on tap, thats all you need!
Staff is terrific, food is great, and karaoke night is the best!! Love going here!!
Went hear on Patricks day and loved it, staff well great and food was awesome , definitely recommended go hear if in the area.
Rhia place is great. First and foremost, the staff. The staff is awesome. Always personalized service. If anyone plans on going to St Albert or the residents too. You need to give here a try. Parking: It is located in a large parking lot. On the quieter end. Lots of spots available Kid-friendliness: Family friendly until I believe 8:00 p.m
Wow an actual Irish pub..! Was served by a lovely lady from Tyrone and I believe she said the owner is from Westmeath. I was only popping in to meet a friend but was pleasantly surprised by this place, lovely atmosphere, great service!! Will be back for sure
Went here for a work thing. It was quiet & could accommodate a large group which was great. Food wasnt my favourite, but still fine. Service was good, quick drinks & the food came out quickly! Good overall pub vibe! Love the St. Patricks day count down!
Great food. Good prices. Staff was great too
We drop in here for a bite to eat at lunch or at night after a meeting. Best soup and sandwich combos ever and good price too. Mel (manager) has kept the kitchen open for our group when our meeting ran late! Servers are wonderful. You feel welcome the minute you walk through the doors. It s like having our own little Cheers pub in the neighborhood.
Good food and good prices
Nice Irish pub, it fits the theme
Great place. Superb staff. Worth the visit.
Affordable, comfy and welcoming. Great staff.
So much fun. It was karaoke night and we thought it would be terrible but honestly it was great.
Food was typical reheated frozen stuff, but still reasonably edible. The waitress was very good.
Had the fish and chips. Service was attentive. I would go back
Nice atmosphere, good food, good beer.
Great food nd staff
A group of us comes weekly around 9 PM. We are still able to order meals and for pub food, it s pretty good. There s often a hockey game on the screens, and then music played afterwards. But the volume for both is terribly loud and even after asking the server to please turn it down it s still too loud.
A cozy Irish pub in the heart of St Albert. We didnt get food, but the beer selection was decent and they had what I was looking for. The waitress was super rad too. If Im back in St Albert, Ill be back for a drink.
Great place for Karaoke on Saturday nights!
Yummy comfort food and great pub atmosphere, great tunes too
Glad we went back. Second visit was so much better. Awesome service and a properly poured Guiness with a hearty beef stew. Service was top notch! Food : 5/5
Im new to town and found a review recommending this place. So happy I made the trip: such a friendly and close vibe, great recommendations on beer that I ended up really liking. Such high spirits during karaoke. A great place to call your regular go-to.
Our family favorite to head to, cant beat a good local pub! We either go just as a couple for a nice lunch, or bring the kids along for a dinner out. Food is delicious and all made in house.
1 star because Ive actually never been inside. But I did pickup a drunk person from here once. It was fun at first until they barfed all over my vehicle
Ridiculous service. Food took over an hour and a drink order took even longer. Out of 5 people there were large errors on 3 orders. One was overcooked on verge of burnt. Will not return. Food
Awesome little pub. Great service. Chairs at the big table in the middle would have been more comfortable if they had a back to them. Overall a great night.
Needed a late place for a bit and a pint. Saw this was close and rated well for its food. I agree with the reviews, all around a good spot
Not too busy. Love the Irish pub decor, great food. We had a burger, Irish Stew and Shepards Pie. Service was quick and friendly.
Beer was cold. Service was good. Nachos I make better at home.
Worth a visit.
Some of the best fish and chips In st Albert never frozen always fresh
Irish bar that plays country, podcasts, and some other non-Irish genre when its slow.
Great little pub. Good happy hour. Great food. Great atmosphere.
Nice evening on the patio. Server and bartender made waiting minimal.
Best place in this neck of the woods! The summer menu is awesome.
First time ever in this nice little pub. Happened to arrive on $15 burger night. How could I resist trying the Swiss mushroom burger with a house made Guinness bbq sauce. Burger was made in house and cooked perfectly, no frozen fake beef at this joint. Wash it down with a pint of Coors Banquet on tap. Service was amazing and friendly. Won t be my last time at this place. Thanks y all
Visited here for the first time, with Friends Wasn t terribly busy inside which was fine for us Food was good, service was good
Great pub. It feels like you could be in any pub in the old country in Ireland. Libe entertainment, great place
Had the half nachos and Magners on tap.!!! Wheelchair accessibility: All on one floor. Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options
Kelly was great company and service was good. Cant complain. Didnt have food but found nothing wrong with the service. It was however quite dead in there.
Good neighborhood pub. Guiness on tap is the best around, they got some micros too. Pub food is expected, burgers are good (dont do the butter chicken). They regularly do a Saturday Karaoke, it is awesome. Great place all round. Kid-friendliness: Kids welcome till a certain evening time.
Had a couple meals here and I found the food excellent. Had minestrone soup, was delicious.
Good wings, decent beer selection.
I have not eaten at Dicey Reillys, but I have had drinks there. Its definitely not OMalleys lol but its a decent place to meet for drinks. Theyve got a quaint little patio in the parking lot during the summer months.
The food was great. I got the steak sandwich, and it came with onion rings and steak (with a choice of side). The interior was nice. It is family-friendly. Kid-friendliness: Has a kids menu (part on the adult menu) (ten and under)
It is a good place to catch up with friends. Decent food, good prices, and cozy atmosphere.
Came for the fish and chips and was satisfied. Size of the fish was a little small but got TONS of fries. Service was slow and awkward, especially since we were some of the only people in the bar, but we also don t care that much. Would come again :)
In from out of town, thought Id try something different. Ordered a steak sandwich, took nearly half an hour to come out, no wonder it was greatly over cooked. Coworker I went with was served brown lettuce in his ceasar salad. Wont be going there again.
Our family absolutely adores this local pub, its our top choice! Whether its just the two of us for a delightful lunch or a dinner outing with the kids in tow, its always a great experience. The food is not just delicious but also freshly prepared in-house, which makes the visit all the more special.
Great spot to hang out! Best named Irish pub Ive been in for a while! Food is good as well, just needs some t-shirts!! :)
Great pub, didnt get to try the food, was only there for drinks. The staff were friendly and still attentive even though we didnt get anything to eat.
I had a disappointing experience during my last visit. The appetizers were below par, and the soup and sandwich special had an inedible soup. I mentioned this to the server but felt ignored. A simple apology, a message to the chef, or an offer to substitute something would have been appreciated, especially since I paid for a full meal. A little acknowledgment can make a big difference in keeping customers satisfied. Ill start looking for another pub that values my business.
Love that place nice music and crowd
If youre looking for a great little authentic pub, this is it. Food is great, affordable prices, excellent service, local live music, kids welcome. One of our regular go-tos.
Disappointing. Met friends for afternoon snacks and beverages on their recommendation. Service was slow, waitress was not in a very good mood, food was cold. It wasnt busy in the pub. There was three staff, but we couldnt get another round. When it came time to pay the tab, we had to go to the bar where the staff were congregated. Our friends (who recommended the spot and had a previous good expérience), were also frustrated. I feel sorry for the owners. Definitely à thumbs down.
Winter menu is back! Yummy!
A nice pub style place. Pours good Guinness. Food was ok, but the chipotle mayo dip is sweet, yuck. Not sure why it has gone that way at several places, but it should not be sweet. Spicy, yes. Creamy, yes. Smooth and thick, yea. But not sweet. Had the Rueben sandwich. Was ok but the meat was cold inside and there was a significantly large chuck of something very chewy in the meat that took a lot of effort to get down.
Chicken pot pie was decent. Harp and Kilkenny on tap were excellent. Nice vibe and good service. Good selection of draft beer.
Not a Plastic Paddy Pub. As I told my friends, when I went in I felt like I was back home again. They have done a great job on the place, the service is always good, the food is great and the Guinness The fact that a lot of Irish go there says a lot. You walk in when its busy and you can be back home in any Pub, any County and feel the vibe that actual Pubs in Ireland have. Well worth going too if you fancy a gargle
Nice place, good service.
Nice little pub with Irish pub fare.
Best Guinness in town! We stopped by the pub on the way home with the kids for some poutine and drinks. What a good atmosphere to finish off the night. Friendly staff, delicious food and perfect pints!
Great beer and wings, waitress just moved to Alberta from Niagara Falls was great.
The server was friendly and the food arrived promptly. The prices are middle of the road. The food was tasty. It was very fresh.
Excellent service and food
Probably one of the best meals Ive had at a restaurant in a very long time. Incredible chicken pot pie. Really great atmosphere and lovely service.
Our bartender was fantastic and really made my visit enjoyable.
Amazing service, great scotch/whisky knowledge.
Our server was great! Always checking on us, to see if we needed anything. The food was good. As a salt-free-cooker I found my steak bites and chips a bit too salty...but thats just me. Im sure its just right for the general patrons. Our friends said their poutine, Irish stew, and calamari were delicious.
Best Pub in St Albert for a beauty pint of Guinness!
Some of the best fish and chips Ive had. Very cozy and charming. Im a big fan.
Good food, with a classic Irish pub vibe!
Service was very friendly and the burgers and fries were delicious
Ambiance was great, great service, good food, live music, well be back!
Good atmosphere, good food, and often good live music
Absolutely terrible. From the prices and poor service, all the way to the awful menu... This place was horrible.
Dropped in for a couple of beers to kill some time. Sat on the patio. Good service. Polite personable. Chatted with a couple of old fellows at table beside me. Older customers but to be expected at the time I was there. Quite enjoyable.
Very nice Irish pub top notch great food friendly staff one of my new go to restaurants
Love the atmosphere
Beautiful Irish style pub! Great service and excellent pub food. We had a lot of fun and will definitely return.
Very welcoming place and good food ! Parking: Lots of parking
Good food and service
Amazing food and amazing staff. Quiet setting and the Cod is to die for!
Lovely pub with a cozy feel, always feel welcome and well looked after. Im not a drinker, but the food is also excellent! Highly recommended!
Friendly service. Food- we had the Beef noodle soup which turned out to be a bland hamburger soup with a sparse amount of noodles
Nice for a drink or two, friendly staff.
By far one of the best pubs in the city the food is grate and the beer is cold
Great food, service and atmosphere! Kids are welcome and the food is exceptional and quickly served. If youre looking for great pub food, this is the place.
Food was ok. We had shepherds pie with chicken pot pie. There was a hair in my wifes salad. They gave us a credit of $2.50 because she didnt eat it. No apology or anything. Probably a regular occurrence there since the waitress wasnt too phased by it.
Service was slow, but not enough staff. Waiter was very friendly though. Food was good, could of been hotter. Enjoyed the warm cozy atmosphere
Decent food, friendly and fast service
Amazing food and service every time!
Great place, great food, great drinks and great service.
We went here yesterday for the first time. We will definitely be returning. The staff members were all unbelievably friendly and provided prompt service. The atmosphere was relaxing and had mature clientele. The food was good and the beer was cold.
Great food, great atmosphere. My friend Mark told me to go there and it did not disappoint!
Amazing place
Wonderful staff, awesome drink selection and delicious food! The fish and chips, shepherds pie and the dicey beef burger were all great :)
I had the pleasure of finding Dicey Reillys today. Along with great food, the service provided is above and beyond. I would highly recommend that you go and check this place out. What a great atmosphere.
We have been there a number of times. The service has always been great. The food has been very good everytime. The atmosphere keeps us coming back. It is our go to pub for sure
Wonderful place. Great pub feel. Went for the fish and chips after reading the reviews - they were amazing! Flaky fish in a great batter, light and not greasy. Thick cut fries. Why hasnt anyone mentioned the coleslaw? Creamy and crisp, delicious as well! Cold beer, and fantastic service. Highly recommend.
Fantastic pub, great selection of brews and THE best fish and chips Ive ever had
Great fish and chips !!
For a pub, the food is fantastic and the service is great. Great neighborhood favorite.
What a great local pub! The food was good, beer was cheap and cold. Duncan the server was so incredibly nice and my husband and I had a great date night. We will be back!
Great place for a meal and a cold beer. Staff were fantastic.
Good food, good drinks, great atmosphere
Great staff, great food, perfect atmosphere! This little place has become a regular outing for me and my partner. If you have a chance, try it!
Excellent nachos and deep fried pickles. Service was exceptional as well! Will be back
Fantastic service! Friendly atmosphere and a great place to catch up with friends. A hidden gem!
I would of given you 5 stars except for the lack of a Donegal jersey. Awesome food and atmosphere and a wonderful friendly staff. Cheers!
Good food and service.
Awesome service. Great place
Nice place, friendly staff, clean and well kept. I would recommend anyone stop by for a beer/check things out
Had a cool time with a few friends playing darts. Bartender was fantastic, service was quick, and food was awesome. I appreciate the fact they kept elements of the previous bar at that location, lots of memories were made!
Love the feel of this place! Cozy and traditional. We also noted and loved that they were playing Irish music, a must for an Irish pub in our view. Duncan the bartender was fantastic and made the experience all that much more. They have a short food menu that was good enough to choose from. Food was good and prices were fair. We found the drinks to be a bit more expensive $8.50 for a paralyzer and $8.00 for a pint of Irish beer. But we will be back despite the cost, we enjoyed our time here.
Amazing service and food great decor.
Jenny was an absolute treasure, best service Ive had in ages! Food was great and a good value, atmosphere was very old country
Food here is absolutely amazing. Some of the best European beers on tap. Staff is wicked friendly, and a Manager that really cares and it shows. Im now a weekly fixture.
Super friendly staff. Wing Wednesday is a great time to go
Very nice Irish pub atmosphere. Guinness is cold and delicious and staff is very friendly.
Good service and food.
Tried out the Tuesday specials: 10$ fish and chips, and a pint for only 4.50! The food was so delicious and fresh! On top of amazing food, our server was exceptional! He handled the full house with perfect service and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Highly recommend this restaurant, and Ill definitely be going back:)
First time venturing out to Dicey Reillys and we were quite happy to catch the Irish dancing performance and really enjoyed the live music!
Nice atmosphere, the food is pretty good too
Dicey Reillys has redeemed themselves! The NEW manager Helen invited me to have a complimentary meal of Shepherds Pie and a pint of Magners! Their Shepherds Pie is really good & Magners is now my favourite cider! Thanks Helen & Dicey Reillys!!!
Love the people. The food and of course the Guiness! P.S. The accents make me want to visit Ireland even more. Going right now to hit the patio before the weather goes South on us.
Think this place will be my new local, loved it
The atmosphere and food was amazing. The service was a little slow but it was worth it. Will definitely be back. Really wish they had a pool table
Good grub service and price.
Great food, wings are awesome, good service.
Delicious beef stew & fish and chips, very friendly and speedy service, lovely atmosphere. Bualadh bos!
Great Bar...Great Service! Nice relaxing pub. Highly recommend!
Good atmosphere good drink food could be a bit better portions were a bit on the small side wasnt very impressed with our waitress and I dont like to be called up for only leaving a $5 tip and wouldnt leave us a copy of our bill
The staff alone makes this place better than most of the pubs around here. The food is above average for a pub too. Add in a good relaxing atmosphere and I cant imagine hitting another pub or chain place in town!
If you dont like this place there must be something wrong with you. Nice fresh facelift and great atmosphere in the pub. The people are amazing and the food is second to none. TRY IT! The mushroom soup with truffle oil on a cold winter day cant be beat.
Im from the East Coast and have very high Fish and Chip standards, this is the best Fish and Chips Ive had since I moved out west 8 years ago. I asked what they did differently, its because every order of Fish and Chips is made to order, including the batter instead of it just sitting it a tub or bucket all day. Unbelievable. 10/10 recommend. Also, the Guinness was on point!
Fantastic spot!!! Incredible service too...cannot fault the place in any way!! Please disregard any of the negative comments below, clearly some people either squeak when they walk or are extremely high maintenance!! If you want great food & a well poured pint of Guinness along with the best service then look no further than Dicey Reillys!!
Probably one of the most authentic feeling Irish pubs in Canada (and that s saying a lot). Irish owned and managed and the Guinness is on-par with back home. Quality service, clientele and food. Cheers Dicey s!
First time here and we will be back!!!!!! The food was awesome! Best fish and chips I have had, it was all about the fish and not overly battered. Enjoyed a couple pints of Smithwicks, and my kids loved there food Too! Service was great too. Disregard the negative comments here and make your way to Dicey Reillys you wont be disappointed!
Tonight was our second visit, the first being Sunday, and it did not disappoint. Delicious food, fresh and enjoyed by both adults and kids. Great service, attentive and very friendly. Love the atmosphere and coziness of the pub setting. We will definitely be back.
