The place is very nice. The service was good. The food came quickly and was very good

I ordered whole tiramisu for my friend s birthday. It barely had any filling, it was very soggy and watery and we were not able to cut pieces so instead we had to put it in the bowl . So disappointed. Definitely not worth $85

Sorrentinos in St. Albert is fantastic! The food was absolutely delicious, but what really made the experience unforgettable was our server, Mourad. He went above and beyond, providing exceptional service with a warm and welcoming attitude. Its rare to come across someone so attentive and personable. Highly recommend this place, and make sure to ask for Mourad he truly made our visit special! 5 stars!

St. Albert s Sorentinos was EXCELLENT! My husband & I were there this evening celebrating my birthday and our server Mourad was superb! He was very attentive & had a great sense of humour while exhibiting professionalism ! The food was exceptional, hats off to the chef! We will be back again soon!

My friends and I tried Sorrentinos last week for the first time. We tried the bruschetta, linguini pescatore in white wine sauce, lasagna, vegetarian pizza, tirimisu, and gelato. Everyone enjoyed their dinner, and the service was great. I do not remember the name of our waiter, but he was very outgoing and personable. I would eat here again!

For the server need more attention to the customer so they dont have to wait for too long just to get the orders.

The service was super slow to get food or drinks and our server disappeared and it took forever to get our bill. The food was bland but my partner enjoyed their meal (mushroom risotto) although the wait was very long for food Parking: We didn t have a problem finding parking.

We just had our anniversary dinner here last night. (we celebrate it here every year !) and I d like to give a special shout-out to our server, Mourad! He was simply fantastic who made sure our anniversary celebration was memorable. The food was great as usual. We ordered our usual picks, Spicy mussels for appetizer followed by Salmon & Prawns for myself and Veal Scaloppine for my spouse. The wine was excellent. Sorrentino at St. Albert is our favourite restaurant and at every special occasions we dine here & Mourad just made our dining experience twice more enjoyable! Thank you, Mourad and we will be back soon!

My friend and I decided to try the happy hour menu in the lounge for a catch up meeting. Well the first thing when we got there is if we were asked if we have a reservation we said no but we only want the lounge - she then walked us in the lounge and told us we had to be done by 630 or we would have to move or leave as someone had a reservation - we were like okay strange - funny thing is no one even showed up in the lounge barely all night. Our waiter was condescending and just odd and when we finally got our bill we asked to split it. When we tried to look at the bill he was getting frustrated and at this point I said whatever - I paid by credit card and cash tip before I even moved after paying he reached over me and grabbed the cash like what the hell he should not even get the 20 percent tip I left him - when I said I want a receipt he said I ll get you your receipt at this point my friend and I just wanted to leave - when we left we compared receipts and he did not charge as happy hour prices -like how can you even do this !!! Never again sorry I work in hospitality and this would be a fail on our part all around.

Pizza was too spicy for my liking but well prepared. My Caesar drink was not done well and lacked all the garnish that everyone else near me got

6 of us showed up impromptu for dinner and were immediately seated in a booth in the lounge. Our server Muhammad (Italian) was very attentive and went above & beyond to accommodate us. The food & service was superb . Thank you Muhammad for making our evening! Highly recommend this restaurant.

I have been coming to Sorrentinos for a long time in St. Albert, but I havent been in the last couple years. Unfortunately our experience was quite disappointing. I had made a reservation for 6:30 and expressed in the reservation notes that we were celebrating a birthday. Upon being seated, not only did we not get a drink order taken for 30 minutes, but the table that was sat AFTER us received their bottle of wine and an appetizer all before we are able to put in a drink order. Our server seemed busy and was quite apologetic, which I appreciated and were very patient with- but I was surprised that it took the manager 30 minutes before he stepped in and took our order for our server. At the end, our server asked if we were celebrating anything, which we were, and offered us dessert, which we declined (we had some waiting at home). Our server (unfortunately he never gave us his name), brought out a tiramisu as a birthday treat, which was kind, but ultimately missed the mark on what we were looking for. Overall, the food was good (the pizzas have changed in recent years I guess) and the staff was friendly- it just wasnt the experience we had come to expect from the restaurant.

Went to celebrate our little daughter s birthday today. Food and service were great. Sidi our server was so attentive and friendly. He made our dinner even more special! Once again, Thank you Sidi!

Recently I dined out here for lunch and it was fantastic!

Popped into this location for a bite on the way home. Ordered a draught and a margarita pizza. The pizza was fantastic.so good. I could have eaten the whole pie. But I saved a couple for later. The bar rail was my favorite choice. If I am ever around I would stop back in.

Prices are getting to be too high for my budget. Food was good, too bad they dont have the pollo portofino anymore.

Great dinning experience

Ordered the lasagna and it was great. Wait staff was efficient. Huge portions good value for money.

Our server ignored us consistently we had to wait around to order and to recieve our bill. The food was given to us cold and my friend recieved an incredibly dirty glass with lip smudges and food grease on it. The server would not let us order our meal until 3pm (we arrived at 2:30) and there was no one to seat us when we arrived in. We were sat by someone who was just walking through the door to start his shift.

Went on a game night....super busy....service was off on this night... Things forgotten in the shuffle....was a disappointing night.... Normally this place is spot on.

On March 29 five adults and not one of us were happy with the meal. It came out wrong. The waiter didn t listen to any specific instructions. We were each offered one drink, never offered another cocktail again no water nothing! At one time this was a very posh restaurant I won t be going back service was horrible!!

We got seated quickly and were brought water and complimentary bread immediately. All the staff were so professional and the atmosphere was extremely fancy but at the same time very inviting. For a first time date night, we will be back for more. My fiance had the tenderloin and it was perfectly rare like he asked for, and I had the mushroom ravioli. Both were absolutely amazing! The apps are so good as well, go for the garlic knots! Also the beat drinks we have ever had, the bartender definitely knew what he was doing.

Not too happy with Happy Hour. Our group of seven went Friday, Nov 4 . To people ordered steak sandwich but found it tough and hard to eat, sent back two servings of cold fries and our draught Guinness loving friend couldn t drink the flat and sour testing brew. The evening, which cost over $300 was a disappointment.

parked and received a note that felt threating because I quickly ran in to get my medicine from across the street. feel like you are losing potential customers by threating to call the police because a quick minute to the store in the same parking lot area. as i have already told four other families and they say its not worth the hassle go if they are being stingy on parking stalls.

Absolutely love getting the chance to go to Sorr! Always a great time and dependable food. It may be predictable in the menu, but at least that way you know youre guranteed a good meal for your dollar and these days thats what matters most!

Never been before, but went for bday dinner. started with arancinis & burschetta aranchini YES, burschetta MID...this is my own personal feels as others really liked the burschetta (I like crispier bread). Wine, awesome old fashioned cocktail, also awesome Had the spaghetti carbonara-heck yes...waaay too much for me so I had a solid lunch left over Tried the chicken parm-also delish! . No desserts as we BYO-cake . Service was fantastic . happy to go back!

It s been quite few years since we visited last and we weren t sure what to expect. Nice quiet date night in the lounge, which was updated and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to find Monday s special was some happy hour deals on a good selection of the menu! We tried the lobster croquettes, arancini, carpaccio, and the carne pizza, and the two of us were full. Everything was good but the carpaccio was fantastic! Parking: Parking all around - lots of spaces.

Dropped in this evening for a last minute dinner out and what a lovely experience. From the lovely host who welcomed us to our very patient waiter who was great helping us with the wine menu and kept the jokes running all evening. I really appreciated that there was no rushing (even though we were one of the last tables seated before closing, so it was really nice). The whole staff was great and the food was great (especially the tarmisu ). Will definitely be back. I recommend the small plate fig and brie bruschetta, its to die for!)

We are from Winnipeg and our son booked us for the family to come here for supper. The atmosphere and his we were greeted was warm and inviting. The server Sidi was excellent provided warm and caring service with an excellent sense of humour. All of our food was amazing. We highly recommend that you come try this restaurant they care about their customers.

Our waiter was exceptional. He went out off his way to make our dinning experience a pleasant and relaxing one. We were there on Wednesday Dec 27 @ 5pm. No. Sure his name Cili??? Top notch service friendly and professional, Pepperoni pizza 6.7 out of 10. a little too much pepperoni bit too salty and oily and sauce was very light in flavour but velvety, pizza could use a longer cook light char on the pepperoni might have improved it, pizza dough was under cooked. Change to a less salty better flavour pepperoni.

Was attending a company Christmas party. Great atmosphere, food was decent. My only problem was service was just ok, especially for a major company such as I work for. One would expect they would want to get further celebrations from my company. Apparently not. Nothing bad happened, just felt like the staff was trying to get rid of us from the moment we arrived.

The food was great. The building is old and they put us in a tiny table in some back room with a couple other tables...it was weird and uncomfortable. The server was awkward at best. Their housemade pasta was very good though, probably just get take out next time.

Our family had the absolute best time at the St. Albert Sorrentino s. Celebrating two special birthdays, the wonderful Cidi and his thoughtful waiter-in-training made our dining experience one to remember. The table was perfect and Cidi introduced himself and treated our children with the utmost respect and kindness. The kids felt as though they were the stars of the evening. Cidi brought both children the fanciest and coolest drinks, which included a few surprises at the bottom; their eyes lit up. Us adults were treated like royalty as well; with great humour, delicious food and perfect drinks, Cidi and his team made our evening one we will never forget. Thank you Cidi, his trusty sidekick, bartender, chefs and Sorrentinos. We will be back, I know this for sure, because my 10year old daughter insisted that Sorrentino s is where she wants to celebrate her next birthday. We wish you continued success.

Went with a large group a d has a private room. Service was great and most of the food was great. I did find the veal to be very over cooked.

I wish I could remember our server s name tonight, but he provided us with the best service we have had in a long time! We spent more time and money just because he was so friendly, helpful and made great recommendations. We ordered the seafood Linguine, a charcuterie board and a kids spagetti and meatballs. Everyone enjoyed the food and service was great. We will be back! Edit We were back with an extra kid this time. We found it very awkward. The table was too small and people were constantly squeezing behind our 7 year oldest chair. The food was great though. We had mussels that were cooked very well. I was not a big fan of cabornora. The pasta and flavor was good but I didnt care for the porkiness. Maybe its not my thing.

We enjoyed another amazing dinner that started with GM Aman greeting us as he has in the past. He sure brings the personal touch. We were shown directly to our table and enjoyed a tasty martini, and then an amazing specialty meal (appetizers, main, etc) Sorrentinos Garlic fest was incredible. Aman stopped by during our meal with warm garlic knots to accompany our apps) and checked during the evening as our meal progressed. It was a great night out... with amazing food and a great senior manager whose work ensures returning customers keep coming back.

The server was a new employee but she tried her hardest and it showed. Went during garlic fest and the food was good, but not the best Ive had from a Sorrentinos. Overall a great experience and a great location to dine.

This was our first time at this location. I have to say the moment we walked in, the service was amazing. So friendly and professional and attentive. The food was great too! Im so glad we came and cant wait for the next time!

We sat on the patio which was lovely. The waitress told us about the specials one of which she said had shrimp in it.... it didnt it had lobster which was disappointing for the person that ordered it

Has been a long time since we were at this location. Food was absolutely outstanding. Even the gluetin free pasta is home made and it was excellent. The salmon with shrimp was cooked absolutely spot on. The Penne Arabiata, with regular pasta, was also excellent. We also had a large Ceasar salad as a starter. Prices are quite reasonable, especially for the quality and being in St Albert where restaurant prices tend to be quite a bit higher than the city. Supper for two, with wine, was $120, with tip. Very nice atmosphere, and something you dont see very often, an excellent manager. He was actively overseeing the operation, picking up dishes when needed, moving chairs around to accommodate guests, and ensuring the serving staff were helped and kept focused. It has been a really long time since I have been in such a well run restaurant, or business of any kind, for that matter. We eat out 2 to 3 times a week. We try to check out a new place every couple of weeks, 9 out of 10 arent great, but you dont know till you try them. This ranks right at the top of the best dining experiences of the places we usually frequent as they are long term great places to eat. We will definitely be going back and this place goes into the regular rotation of places we go to regularly. Dietary restrictions: Good selection of gluetin free meals.

Shout out to server Nicole! We enjoyed Sorrentinos for the first time tonight. My husband and I finally had a babysitter and went on a much needed night out. Nicole was bright, charming and made the experience so enjoyable. We will definitely return! Food was also delicious!

Not happy with overall experience

Great place for an intimate, romantic date night! (Also good for a dinner/celebration party of 12!) Nice music and atmosphere. Amazing service. Best Italian food my wife and I have ever had! Wonderful wine selections, and they also have Bring your own bottle on Wednesdays! I dont know of many other places that do that!! Vegetarian options: Tastiest mushroom ravioli ever!!!! Wheelchair accessibility: The entire establishment is on the ground floor. No extra ramps or stairs for seating access in the lounge or dining area.

My friend and I became ill after eating with gastrointestinal problems. We each had the mushroom tortellini. Second time I ve become ill. Parking: I and my friend both became I ll after eating mushroom ravioli.

We had dinner with my daughter, we sat at the lounge as the lounge is a kid friendly area as well. It was a fantastic experience and has quickly became my daughter s and my favourite restaurant for our daddy daughter nights as the food is delicious, the staff is very friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable for what you re getting. We ve been there several times now and it never disappoints. Our favourite appetizer is the arancini, I could seriously make a meal out of those but the carne pizza is absolutely delicious as well. I highly suggest trying it out and see for yourself.

My wife and I brought our family of five for supper for mushroom fest, everyone was so happy with their meal but what made the experience extra special was our waiter Sidi! He goes above and beyond, made all the kids feel special and is such a gentleman! Go for the food, if you are lucky enough to have Sidi wait on you, you won t regret choosing Sorrentino s!

I would give it a 0 if I could. We sat at Sorrentinos lounge at 5:50 and were told we could not order the happy hour drinks even though all the advertising for Sorrentinos St. Albert says it goes until 6:00. The manager was very rude and would not honour it despite the waitress coming to take our drink order twice. He was very condescending and it was very unwelcoming so we left at 5:58.

Exceptional service. The server (Eric?) asked me if I wanted to hear specials, he stayed and discussed what he thought might interest me based on my attire. He was observant, not robotic and welcoming. The food outclassed me. The clientele were hilarious. I was able to easily overhear that a woman and her hubs of 31 years were going to Cabo San Lucas (thats on the BAJA penninsula). I think she talked the entire time.

Sidi and Joseph were fabulous, the food was divine, and the BYOW with no corkage was an awesome treat!

My girlfriend and I have been going sporadically since we moved to St. Albert a year ago, and I have never been disappointed. The food is always hot and delicious, and the wait staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I booked online last time we went as it was our 4 year anniversary, and I put that in the reservation and promptly forgot all about it. At the end of the meal a large dessert plate was brought to us with Happy Anniversary written on it, free of charge. Cant say enough good things

I was there for the first time with a group in the private room and the food was delicious, the portions were great, the drinks were a good mix of alcohol and tastiness, and the staff were excellent.

Restaurant manager constantly ignores reservations and is very rude and arrogant. Restaurant cancelled open table reservation after reservation was attended so that review option was disabled. Front end manager ruins the atmosphere of restaurant.

Always a nice restaurant and very accommodating to requests. Steak is good but could do without the heavy glaze next time.

Fantastic venue, lovely and very professional team, Especially the Manager Mr. Simo he is great asset of the company He is very Hamble he touch every single of table with big smile, he is very professional.

Somewhat upscale but lacking in commitment to customer satisfaction. Was given a table at the busy crossroads to the bar and kitchen and was told this was the only choice, it clearly was not. The food was very good although the menu is heavily weighted to Pasta and Pizza and is a bit puzzling for those not familiar with Italian. We chose small plates, Mussels, Chicken and Veal, which were all good although the hubbub and foot traffic around our table was distracting and left us feeling we should have chosen another restaurant if we wanted a relaxing meal. We had expected better.

Trying to pick up food for a delivery. They told me it would be ready in 1 minute. I sat for 20 minutes waiting. Tried to stand up and wave down a staff for 5 minutes and still no response from them. Absolutely terrible service.

Had an amazing experience at this restaurant. The food was amazing, service was top, and the drinks were outstanding. Really pleased with our waiter, Sidi, made our family experience 10x better and was so kind with excellent service. If you come here I hope you get seated in Sidi s section, a big thanks to him for being so awesome.

This restaurant has left the very best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, lovely presentation, drink and fantastic dessert, The waiter sidi was great and very attentive to our orders ,I like to recommend it to everybody! I want to come again right here many times.

Food was unfortunately very disappointing as it did not live up to the standard of the Sorrentinos Location in Downtown Edmonton.

I dont often write reviews..but we have an AMAZING dinner experience. We eat out often but lately have only had average (and less than average) experiences, sooo decided to attempt going to Sorrentinos with our 3month old and 3 year old! The food was incredible and the staff provided 10/10 customer service. All the staff were so attentive... everyone from our server (I wish I knew his name to give him a shoutout), the manager and even the guy making pizza who invited our 3year old daughter to watch how he makes pizza. The food was delicious! We had Mussels in White Wine Sauce, I had the Linguine Pescatore, my husband had the Short Ribs & Mushroom Ravioli, and my daughter enjoyed the Cheese Pizza (from many reasonably priced choices on the kids menu). The staff were very welcoming to kids and personable. When they learned our son is turning 3month old, tomorrow, they surprised us with a piece of Tiramisu birthday cake!

We tried to get a table last Friday and we re turned away from the lounge at 5 pm because the staff were too busy even though there were open tables and chairs. Can t believe they turn customers away. I wrote to their corporate office and owner who I ve known for 25 years to share our concern but never received as much as an acknowledgment.

Dont book your large gathering here. Service is sparse here. Food is overpriced. Not the same good service or food since it changed hands.

We went for a family birthday last night. We sat in a nice secluded room with another family birthday beside us. The experience started out well but unfortunately the service was disappointing. Three of us had ordered a chicken meal and ended up with something completely different. When we brought this up to the waiter he disregarded this like it was nothing. It was quite rude. Even if you are quite busy, you don t change people s meals or at least confirm the change is okay with an explanation, especially for the price of the food.

Worst food experience. Wouldn t recommend it. They could use real balsamic and real parmesan cheese

Service was subpar. The server was slow to take away out dirty plates, and we had to flag down a completely different server for boxes to take out. They provide one piece of complimentary bread with the meal, but both the size and taste was mediocre. It was the size of my fist (and Ive got small hands) and it was just a cold hard piece of bread. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara and I was equally, incredibly unimpressed. Ive eaten carbonara made at home, so I might be off about how carbonaras are supposed to taste/feel like, but it was excessively oily. The bottom of the plate literally had a puddle of oil. Furthermore, Im not sure what kind of spaghetti they used, but it was definitely not usual spaghetti. It had the stringiness of egg noodles, was underdone and considerably chewy, and the portion size was NOT worth $25. I could get better pasta thats cheaper and better tasting by Boston Pizzas. Definitely wont be returning.

This was a dinner choice because Sorrentino s in Stony plain is a great experience. We seated ourselves in the bar area and waited 5 minutes before the hostess noticed us and brought menus. It was around happy hour, so I asked the hostess who gave us menus a few questions about what the happy menu was, where to find it and if there was a drink menu. -Insert blank stare here.- Sorry she said I m just the hostess you will have to ask your server. Please tell me why a hostess does not know all the menus in a restaurant and can at least answer your initial questions before a server comes to take your order? This annoyed me more as I watched her from the table the rest of the meal stand there doing nothing, other than waiting for people to come and go. The rest of the experience with our server was ok, but she did not have a clue about the Italian words on the menu when I asked what Zuppa del giorno was. She came back to tell me soup of the day. This place needs to better train their young staff and have them learn the art of serving and customer service. Talk to the customers, have the information needed to answer customer questions about the menus and have suggestions. When the server does a mediocre job, you the lose the ability to up sell the customer and earn a big tip. Eating out is an experience and if someone just brings me food, which also was a lengthy wait-the tip will be just that mediocre. We won t return.

Shocked and quite horrified by the manager Aman Nizandeen. Came for dinner and waiting in a half empty dining room over an hour for our food. When he came over we told him how disappointed we were for the wait and he said they had a big party in their private room and ignored our concern. When we tried to ask him more he turned his back and said he didn t have to listen to us and walked away. What manager doesn t listen to their customers? I do not understand in a recession how this is acceptable customer service. I now understand why it was only half full. Would not recommend this establishment. What happened to the reputation that Sorrentinos in the capital city made for themselves?

-Very friendly staff. -We really have an excellent server I forgot his name(I blame the really good Sorrentino exclusive red wine bottle that he served us) but I remember he s from Morocco. -Food is perfect! And worth the price. -The setting and ambiance is really good -music is great

Went to Sorrentinos for a company Christmas dinner. Although the room was cold, the fireplace and heater helped to warm it. The food was wonderful! The staff were friendly and attentive.
