Amore Pizza and Donair in St. Albert

I havent eaten here since 2022 but at that point after trying their food five times . I strongly recommend anything on the menu.I hope they never downgrade their ingredients ever.

Crave worthy fries and delicious donairs! Good service and fair prices

This is our go to pizza spot in st.albert. Very good quality. Family owned i believe. Always very friendly delivery. My whole family loves it. Also cheaper then chains like panago. We generally only order their pizza. I will say the lady that answers the phone sometimes is not primarily English speaking but we always have a laugh trying to get the delivery directions through and she is delightful.

Owners are kind and helpful. Food is amazingly delicious. Authentic flavours! Mexican food is great!

I went with my husband to eat at this restaurant, we ordered carnitas and campechanos tacos, very delicious, the carnitas have a Mexican flavor, we also tried the chilaquiles and they are very well served and delicious. If you want to try Mexican food, it is undoubtedly a place that I recommend. The price is super good compared to other places Ive gone to eat tacos.

After several attempts to speak with the owner Aldo, he remained unresponsive.

Lawrence promised the quality would be the same. The LAST order was under cooked and soggy no where near the Amore pizza he took pride in.

I got a donair poutine, it was one of the worst donair poutines Ive ever had. The meat was like burnt cardboard, the meal wasnt even hot enough to melt the cheese. My friend got a super donair, and also said it was tasteless. I will not be going back to this location. The workers were really friendly, and service was good.

If youre a donair lover, you OWE it to yourself to try an Amore donair with cheese! HOMEMADE meat, edge to edge pizza mozzarella melted onto the pita right in their pizza oven. It is such a new and unique experience compared to the tired barebones donairs Ive had at other places. Such a gem!

While some people may like this, they use meat deli slices on their pizzas. I ordered a chicken pizza and I was disappointed when it was covered in chicken slices. Not what I was expecting nor what I wanted.

Unprofessional staff and gross food. Do yourself a favour and steer clear.

Lots of issues. Poor quality of ingredients, lack of supplies, cold chicken, cold food in the middle, not tasty at all. Disappointed.

After 3 years the worst service and products ever.....undercooked yeasty pizza, overcooked leaking and soggy mozzarella sticks.....a ceaser salad without dressing.......theve totally lost my business and all my friends as well, they should just shut the doors and move on to something else before they poison somebody!!

Sad to say that it is terrible. Tried on 3 separate occasions. Lumpy and thick sweet sauce, french fries are drowned in grease and completely uncooked. Focus on quality over quantity please, the menu is pages long but you can t even cook french fries. Totally inedible

Love their pizza (crust is weird though). Cant get much better than their deep dish pizzas in St. Albert. Toppings galore, one medium fills up the family with left overs to spare. Our go to pizza place.

Food was okay not a whole lot of room to eat in no bathroom as soon as they open my Donair it was just pouring juice all over super messy havent tried anything else from here

Best pizza!!

Stopped in for lunch. Since we moved here Ive always enjoyed this local businesses and cute stop in restaurant. The chicken caesar salad was super fresh and had lots of parm and bacon just the way I like it ^.^ Ive had donairs many times as well and they always hit the spot ^.^

Amazing, the crust had cheese grilled on it I was going to get dippers but it was so good on its own. I ve never had crust this good on any pizza ever stuffed crust has nothing on this

Usually one doesn t say this but the meat lovers pizza has way to much topping.. theirs a line of to much and they crossed it! On the other hand the donair pizza aint to bad and the prices are all pretty good!

If your looking for donair that has cold meat and no spice, this is the place for you! Quite disappointing from all that told us it was a good place to pick up really good donair. Cant say Ill return. Sorry Amore

Lovely people who make delicious pizzas, with crunchy crusts and loaded with toppings. Excellent choice for lunch or pizza with friends. Amore wont leave you hungry!

Friendly staff. Pretty solid Donair but the pita itself was a little dry and crumbly.

A literal inch of meat leads to raw dough. Disappointing.

Got charged $28 for a medium pizza. This place is suspect, under new management I think

New owners have A LOT To live up to. And my first experience with them was terrible. They dropped pieces, the other pizza was burnt. And they still packaged it up and brought it. Not that much pepperoni and the other barely had any pineapple. They definitely need to practice or get more training from the previous owners. It s too bad because this was our favorite pizza place in St. Albert!

We have always just raved about and loved everything from Amore. Tonight we ordered from the new owners and were badly disappointed. Pizza dough was as hard as a rock. Pizza toppings were very dry and not very many and it seemed to lack even the flavor of pizza sauce. We have been faithful customers but unless the product improves, we wont be back.

This sleepy little spot makes some of the best pizza in St Albert...over and out..!

This place is awesome! You really get a feel that there is heart put into the food and there is always plenty of toppings, way more than most restaurants. The people there are great and Im excited every time I eat here. I love Amore Pizza!!!

Gave Amore a second chance and I am sorry I did. Please keep in mind I am speaking of delivery, perhaps its better if you dine in which is impossible nowadays. Ordered the same pizza as the first time, the Pizza D Amore. I told them the last one I ordered what is suppose to be crust was so soggy dough, it was hardly eatable the only thing that saved it were the toppings which are great. So this time after explaining the last problem I asked for it to be over cooked thinking it might help. WOW was I wrong. May have something to do with the foil wrapper for donairs they use under the pizza, not the rippled cardboard. Same result and last chance. To bad because it seems like a decent pie except for that really soggy crust. Sorry Amore just telling how it is.

food is lacking the original flavor the previous owners provided. The donair is so sad, Ive never had a donair in my life with that little of meat. To make it even worse the donair meat was hard and crispy. The wings have hardly any meat on them anymore and very little sauce. Pizza comes with minimal amount of toppings now. It feels like they are skimping out on things to save money. Before the new owners took over this place was AMAZING. Now basically only eat it out of convenience. .

Please note, this review is for the donair I had. I cant speak for their pizza (but it does look good). I kind of had high hopes for this donair, but was somewhat let down. The meat was quite dry and as a result didnt have much flavour. The toppings were standard, but the cheese was something different. Im not sure what they used but its almost like they melted mozza and crumbled feta. It was alright, the texture was just different than Im used to. Overall it was ok. A bit on the pricier end as far as donairs go but I wasnt upset about it. Staff was very friendly!

Excellent! Pizza tastes like meats come from a deli, and the cheese from Italy. Best bang for a relatively cheap buck.

Donairs are pretty decent

Got a couple pieces of pizza for lunch $3.25 each. Went in with high expectation for authentic pizza and did not leave disappointed. They had a Hawaiian and a Double Pepperoni and mushroom ready to serve 11:30am on a weekday. Lots of cheese and lots of meat. Will definitely be back for a couple pizzas. Much better than your big chain pizzas.

If i could put no stars, thats what Id do. Ordered an extra large meat lovers with extra cheese. Pizza shows up. $38.20. $3.50 delivery, $4.50 extra cheese. I live 4 blocks away. No 2litre of pop, no deal on sum wings. Nothing. Pizza was just pizza. Nothing special here. Go ahead...i dare you.

QUITE the hidden gem! I was in St. Albert running some errands, and had a sudden itch for donairs. Found this in a residential area. Food was fresh and made to order. The pizzas looked/smelled great too. Definitely coming back. The owner/chef was very friendly too!

Most of the pita was dry and fell apart. The inside of the pita was just mushy. Cheese wasn t melted.

Lady at the front is amazing! She remember me today and made sure I enjoyed my meal. Donair reminds me of one I had at heritage days love it good memories with that taste. The pizza was amazing and by the slice I should have gotten more. Cant wait to try more that they offer the next time it will be my go to place when in the area

Fantastic food and service !

-If you want a good donair do Not eat here! I ve had bad donairs before but this is by far the worst ever! The meat was in thin slices like from a package and wasn t spiced right, the sweet sauce was gross and the onion was minced which blended into the gross sauce and to top it off the pita was soggy. -Also while standing there waiting for the food... the native guy in charge was rude to employees (the cashier) in front of customers. I do not recommend this place to anyone!

I ordered the most expensive Donair I could get. It had half the meat that Simply Donair uses. 6 regulars with cute little fluorescent vests came in for pizza after I placed my order and the owner filled all their orders before he frickin even started my Donair! It took a half hour to get my donair!!! Do your self a favour and never go here.

Excellent! New favorite pizza joint in St. Albert!

Ordered the two for one price ham & pineapple pizzas for $37.50 and picked them up. The pizzas were very substandard due to the lack of pineapple and ham. You had to search around for the two ingredients on a crust that lacked sufficient tomato sauce. This is a continual problem with the staff since the are a few times the pizza is great but on a high occasion it is not. My questions is why dont they measure and or weigh the items loaded on the pizza crust each and every time rather than disappoint customers all too often. If you want customers return produce a product with uniform consistency.

Had a donair from there today and it did not disappoint! Didnt seem like there was a bit of grease, but still all the great flavor. Will be back for sure for seconds and to try some of their pizza.

LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Seriously some of the BEST pizza by the slice Ive ever had! Not only that but the people are so so friendly and accommodating. Excellent prices, great atmosphere, and great pizza with lots of toppings and delicious homemade sauce!! I never did try any donators but I would imagine the quality extends across the entire menu

Absolutely impressed. From when the pizza was handed to me - the pizza has weight. I m used to the lightweight from places like dominos. The quality the taste the generosity of toppings. 100% 5 stars!

I m only writing this review because it had excellent ratings and our experience was mediocre. We ordered two donairs with cheese, a fry and 2 pops which by end cost way to much. Our pitas were both stale and flaking and my tomato s were bad. The fries were soggy with grease. To be honest their meat was quite good but the quality of everything else wasn t there.

The best lasagna ever. Sauce meatballs cheese all perfect. Pizza also great! Donair is the next test. Dont think Ill be disappointed.

Great place to get pizza for lunch. Slices are a great size, delicious, and relatively inexpensive. Ive also had their Donaire which are also good. Pro tip: Call your order ahead if planning to visit during a busy time.

Always great food at a reasonable price. Nice people too. Lucky to have this close by.

Tried Amore on a whim and was blown away. Puts the chain pizza shop that my missus insists on ordering from to shame. I would gladly start the fight and sleep on the couch, if it means I get to order from Amore.

Unbelievable. I am a foodie - travel whenever I can and eat in the best restaurants where I go. these people beat them all. They provide five star quality ingredients and make everything from scratch. A donair that tastes like a seventy dollar meal and leaves you feeling incredible.

Great food but inadequate delivery service. Ordered do Nair said 25 minstrel. Phoned at 53min mark and told me it was just a single donair. When said I wasnt happy I was told rhat he was hungry anyways. You wonder

Best pizza in all of Edmonton by far. The owners put their heart and soul into their food. Seriously the owner is the one making your pizza! I rarely write reviews, but this place is a hidden gem and highly recommend it to anyone. I cant eat pizza with red sauce, so they custom make mine with donair sauce and its the most delicious pizza I have ever had. Ive lived in Texas, Chicago and visited NYC multiple times. I would put this place up against anything I have had comparable in those cities. Keep it up guys!

Decided to try it for poops and giggles. Turned out to be the best pizza Ive eaten in a looooong time. Been back 4 more times since then, still same quality. All pizza shops could learn from their crust, too! Delicious. Give it a try. You may not go anywhere else after.

THIS IS A CRAZY GOOD DONAIR!! Homemade Donair meat.....I know right?? Unlike the crap you get from any other wannabe donair place, they buy there ground beef, and start making it from there.... IT TASTES LIKE MEAT!!! Not something that is warmed up on a stick that gets shaved off.... I am the typical complainer, but I am raving about this DONAIR!!! I am gonna order a Pizza for supper.....need to go and finish my lunch so I can get back to work!!!
