My husband and I have been supporting Buco St. Albert for the last few years and have never had an issue. Last nights experience that my husband had picking up my online order will be the last time I ever order/eat at this location. I placed a prepaid online order and asked for extra pepper relish that comes with the Carne Frommagio. This isnt an option you can pay for online otherwise I wouldve added it and paid for it, so I instead left an $8 tip on a online pickup order for this. My husband went to pick it up and was rudely greeted by the manager who told him it would be an extra $2 for the relish as if the tiny mouthwash size cup of relish was coming out of her own pocket. When my husband came home and told me this, unaware that I had left a tip, I regretted leaving one. Enjoy your $8 tip, it will be the last one I ever leave.

This place used to be my favorite 2 years ago. Now I will never go back terrible service and pizzas got to our table cold and soggy. Must be new owners

Very sad day. We ve been supporting Buco since it opened and through the pandemic. We have always been treated well and felt cared for. Today we placed our order 2 hours ahead of time and when we came to pick up, one item, the steak had been given to another customer and we then waited 30 min for a new one to be cooked. The staff made no explanation and nothing was complemented. Ok- it s worth it. We ll wait. We got home, the steak was rare not medium (cold) and the pizza was cold. We ve had issues before with cold meals from there but not like this. I had to go and finish cooking the steak. I don t like to complain because I realize everyone is trying their best. But this is just wrong. Extremely disappointed and sad to see the end of our patronage. Sad thing is we still have gift cards.I hope this feedback is heard.

Buco is our pre-movie go to! They have the perfect appetizers choices. We choose 3 + the Caprese salad so we have room for popcorn after!! Prosciutto mozza balls are very good, and the sauce. Pizzas are also a family favorite. They are very good with gluten free accomodations. Cost is reasonable for a family of 4. Staff are always friendly. Make reservations as they are usually busy. Some find it can be loud as it is an open area restaurant, but that doesnt bother us.

Fantastic place to go! I shared a 6 item Assaggini which consisted of Arancini balls(crunchy and sauces were fantastic), Italian sausage(and actual full sausage! Which had good spice to it), bacon involtini(small and not my cup of tea), prosciutto mozza ball(saucy goodness), and lobster/salmon croquette(not the best and didnt taste lobstery). We also both had the short rib panini with ceasars salad. The salad was creamy and delish. The pizza dough bread was out of this world and so so soft. The short rib with the onions was fantastic but lacked sauce. Apparently had a garlic aoli on but barely notices. It was a great experience tho it seemed there was only one server and a handful of guests. I wouldve appreciated a bit more attention to detail as our water lay empty during our entire meal and the large appetizer tray lay stuck between myself and friend. Other than that I will definitely be going back!

Had a reservation last Saturday evening for 12 people. Reservation was bkd 7 days prior to it. We were given 2 tables instead of a long table. We were surprised about 2 tables instead of one yet the other group who came after us had a long table. Our bill was given in one receipt instead of separate bills. We told her if we can do it separately but she declined about it and had to pay one bill plus tips. not high quality experience with the waitress at all. She could have redo it but she made excuses. It was my first time gettin declined for a separate bill request. Food was good but customer service is a fail.

It should have been so much better. Ive been here several times in the past and had what I would consider good Italian-inspired food with a modern atmosphere. What I got today was a mediocre ham and pineapple pizza with a tomato ketchup tasting sauce. But! It could have been so much better! When I read the description of the pizze rossa pineapple, I imagined fresh shaved prosciutto and juicy, just-cut pineapple chunks carefully placed on a bed of rich pizza sauce, dotted with fior de latte and fresh basil. Instead it looked and tasted like something you could pick up for $6.99 at the deli counter at Safeway. The one Bonnie Doon. Before they got the facelift. I wasnt the only person in my party left with a sense that things were just much worse than the last time we visited. The mac and cheese used to have pork lardons (actual pancetta!) and tonight just had what looked like store bought bulk bacon bits. The servers were all attentive and polite, the atmosphere was lovely, but I think next time Ill just get something from a supermarket deli.

We got some takeout pizzas which looked fantastic when they were boxed. During the eight minute ride home the crust became limp and very soggy. The way the pizza boxes are designed do not allow any condensation to escape from underneath the pizza. A box with a corrugated bottom, rather than flat, would help some of the moisture escape from under the crust.

Short and sweet yum! Have a craving for some Caputo a libre pizza, you can get that covered here.....a craving for a veal meatball, yup they got that too! Flavourful Italian dishes, delicious.

Nice spot in St Albert. Service was good. However, pizza was not how l was expecting. Even the shape was odd, half square, half round. The chicken was barely there and had no barbecue taste but too much barbecue sauce on it.

was here a few times with friends and have got to say that this location blows the other ones out of the park by a mile. food is consistent and as you expect, service is always welcoming, and the layout of the restaurant is simple. highly recommend this location compared to windermere (oily and burnt food served) and downtown (inconvenient parking)

$27 for a very small serving of pasta w/meatballs that were cut into four pieces....I want my meatballs whole, please. Too much sauce, hardly enough to feed a bird. I only ate half of the small portion because even though I was fairly hungry, it was not good. Anyway, this doesnt upset me as much as the incredibly unbearable noise level!! It was a Friday evening but my ears hurt and the vibration of the noise made me feel anxious and all I could think of was how long before I got to leave. I was with a friend who also found it way too loud but we decided to stay and at least finish our meals. Mediocre at best. I hate leaving bad reviews like this but I thought someone should know. The next day and my ears are still ringing from the noise level. Will not go back.

Amazing happy hour - I loved the different glasses styles for cocktails - Affordable Happy hour ! We had around 4/5 dishes and 3/4 cocktails and our bill came around $60 ! Kid-friendliness: Brought baby and they have a kid chair ! Very good

First time I was here the place was an absolute mess dust everywhere and the food mediocre. This is my second time and Im still disappointed. Glad they cleaned up though, but the food and prices just arent it. The pizza was pretty good, but the pastas were meh they kinda tasted like a can of chef boyardee. It was an experience, but not one Id like try again.

I visited your restaurant today. The reception and the waitresses treatment were very poor, and they kept me waiting for a long time. I gave them the order number I wanted to pick up twice, but they didnt give me the order even though it was prepared and placed on the table before the scheduled time. They left me waiting at the door for a long time, and the order was getting cold on the table. They didnt give me the order, so I was late for the person who ordered it. Im very disappointed with the treatment. I wont visit them again.

Just ordered from here I got the sea bass and the beef short rib! The beef melted in our mouths... absolutely delicious with a generous helping of vegetables on the side.the sea bass. Was packed with flavor very properly cooked, now the pizza!!!!! Perfection! Fresh Toppings. Nice thin crispy crust and once again not cheap ojf the portions of the toppings. My mother had the mussels in white wine! Delicious, we will be ordering many more times and have saved as a go to spot when we want light. Fresh home cooked vibes and food

Best traditional Italian style pizza in St. Albert!!! Nona and Nonu approved ! And let s be honest, Nona has some big shoes to fill! The entire staff are absolutely fabulous, but big shout out to Rose! Rose is soo Wonderful and takes an already great experience and makes it even more enjoyable! Just another reason my partner and I have made Bucco St. Albert our go to restaurant for date nights , family and friend gatherings! Fun Fact: I ordered Bucco for my Finace s 40th birthday surprise party and believe we still hold the record for most pizza s ordered in one night Thank you to our server Rose and the entire Bucco St, Albert Team ! Gnocchi was the best I ve ever had!

Been to the St Albert location a few times over the years. Food is always amazing. Definitely try the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella and the arancini. Pizza also always good. They have very good bellinis. Thursday night they are only $7 so go try one. Only thing Id say off is the design of the room, table layout, and the lack of bar space for solos. Id recommend they sit at each table and do some spacing changes and then try walk around and move some tables or resize them. Patio is also very nice in summer months.

My husband and I visited the restaurant for Valentines and both chose the mushroom ravioli dish at $25 per plate. The meal was tasty, nicely presented and decorated with arugula. We were fairly hungry and so the half a dozen pieces of ravioli on each plate just didn t cut it! Because there was so little to eat, our visit was short. Disappointed with portion size, poor value.

Wow!!! I usually dont care waiting a little longer but... 2 different drivers, and almost 1 hour and 1/2 for a very cold pizza and a salad, from this restaurant, which is 5 minutes of driving from our place. The 3 stars is for the taste, but I had to reheat the whole thing. Guys, really, I understand that it is a Friday night, but this should have been planned better maybe? At least, call the customer to inform them about the situation or maybe offer a discount or something to compensate? Even an appology would have shown a minimum of respect on your end at least. Restaurants should stop treating delivery orders like they are such an inconvenience and neglecting the quality of service for these orders. (Or offer your own delivery service if its financially better on your end?) I understand that an online order doesnt bring the same value to your business, as I have been working in the food and customer service industry for 25 years, but there is actual good reasons why some people cant make it in person sometimes (No access to vehicle, disabilities, injury, etc...) It still affects your image anyway in the 1st place, and you still get money from these orders too! (We pay so much extra money to get it delivered.) We used to LOVE Buco, but Ill have to admit that the past few times we ate there in person or that we ordered online were really disappointing. Even the staff didnt looked happy. Im also not the only person mentioning this, Ive heard it from quite a few people. I hope that you are sincerely receptive to peoples experience when they take the time to offer constructive feedback, and work on improving whats wrong without treating your staff any different. (Unfortunately, some place really do.)

As soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted and seated. I was about 30 min early for our reservation but it was early evening and there were plenty of places to sit. There was a delicious aroma in air and I was very eager to try their highly rated pizzas. The open kitchen is nice as you can see all staff working hard to make every order. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The only disappointment for me was our pizzas. Although delicious in flavor and good quality ingredients. I just found that both pizzas were soggy in the center of the pizzas. I dont know if it was because we ordered a pineapple and also a margarita pizza but we were unable to lift up a slice because they were just too wet and toppings were just sliding off. Still, very delicious and we didnt complain. Other than that, we were also able to take advantage of the happy hour prices and also tried the truffle fries, which were delicious as well. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

We ordered take out and the pizza was amazing! When we stopped in to pick up the atmosphere was so good that I knew wed have to go back for a weeknight special! ETA: We finally went for dinner here, everything was incredible. Had the Carne + Formaggio to start, make sure you eat the relish, it is so sweet and delicious, the only thing I had wished for was the bread to be thinner & more of them so you could create even more perfect bites. Main course we had the Beef Short Rib, truly melt in your mouth deliciousness, and the Mediterranean Sea Bass, the fish was so perfectly crispy I could have eaten so much more. We will absolutely be back to try even more, it was such a fun place to be on a Friday night!

Great atmosphere & friendly waitress but the meal was so and so. Appetizers were okay but we did it not enjoy the pizza at all. Crust was thin, soggy and floppy. I prefer Greek or Lebanese type of pizza with lots of toppings and some volume to the crust. If I do go back, I ll try pasta and pass on the pizza.

My family love s coming here. The food is always amazing and the service is great. We really enjoy the 1/2 wine and bring your own bottle of wine nights. Julia is just wonderful and always makes our night. Can t wait to be back

We went to Buco for our first time! It didnt disappoint! We got the Big black booth in the back corner and it was awesome! We had the mussels to start in a red sauce! It was ridiculously tasty! I ordered the short ribs and they were so tender and delicious. My husband ordered the Cannelloni and he loved it! Our friends also got delicious dishes as well! Our server Rose was the best!!!! She made our experience that much better! Her vibe was so positive and she even at one point did this cute little dance when she went to go get our drinks haha! We will be back for sure!

Best happy hour in town <3 was initially sad they got rid of the Tuesday deal but the happy hour made up for it.

I really loved the staff members. They were very accommodating and took the time to provide an exceptional experience. The pappardelle dish was all of our favorites, followed closely by the mushroom ravioli. The mac and cheese didnt compare to the other dishes and we did have to send back a cocktail that wasnt made right. The red sangria has probably made my top 5 favorite sangrias. So good! Its busy so I suggest making a reservation for weekends.

The service was okay. The waitress kept passing by us with a smile, but when we needed more water and the bill, she didn t come to our table. I ordered the Nordica - the dough was just perfect, but I don t think they added honey because I couldn t taste it at all and it tasted different than the one I had at their downtown location.

My new favorite pizza! Crust is light (not like the doughy ones at other restaurant) and non-greasy. I ordered the Ham and Pineapple pizza while my husband had the Carne pizza. We were both impressed with the toppings and taste. Tip: If you like a spicier pizza, be sure to order chili flakes.

Great food typical service. Unfortunately service could be better, just simply having someone check on you frequently gets us all excited and associate being good service. its one of the reasons we typically try to sit in the lounge portion of a restaurant, lounge staff have a little more hustle and stay on top of you a lot better than dining room staff do. Here the food has always been good weve tried two locations Windermere and St Albert and Ive never had an issue with the food. But on a Sunday morning for breakfast I wouldnt expect to have to ask for coffee refills 4 times. Service underwhelmed.

The food and service and atmosphere was exceptional all around.

We went for brunch on Saturday and it was terrific! We shared a brunch pizza that had potato wedges and a fried egg on top and we both enjoyed it very much. We also shared the French toast with raspberry coulis and I think it was the best French toast Ive ever had, highly recommend it.

I had the bbq chicken pizza with no sauce and a ceaser salad. The salad was good but the liqiud coming from the pizza made the crust on the pizza soggy. Not very appealing. Very professional and welcoming staff. Nice environment to have lunch and visit with friends.

Always excellent service. The manager greets you warmly as you come in, and the servers really know their stuff. Weve made this a regular spot. Lots of action - not a quiet place for dinner, but lots of energy.

Bucos quality of delivery in St. Albert is much as what Ive become accustomed to in Edmonton. Its a beautiful clean space with lots of natural lighting. The food covers off a diverse range of items that are more modern Italian fusion items. And the service is great. If you are in St. Albert and looking for a reliable restaurant to dine at, you can always depend on Buco.

Food used to be good here, but the last few meals we had there was not great. We thought we would try again today and ordered take outs - it was very disappointing. The previous time we dined in we waited for a full hour for our food.

Excellent food! Good kids meals. Very friendly service. Plus the Italian market is right next door, so once you are inspired by the food you can walk over to get ingredients to try to make you own. And then when you fail, you can go back to Buco for the good version again!

As we were dining here, I could tell that a lot of regulars frequent this location. The servers knew their orders off the top of their head. They were on the ball with their service towards us as well. Our server asked us if we would like some more bread with our charcuterie board before I even thought to ask. They were quick to refill our drinks and were constantly checking on us and everyone around us. Service was immaculate and the food was delightful. We will definitely be back. I d definitely recommend checking out this location.

Absolutely to die for here. The food is so incredibly beautifully plated by the very talented chefs. Ive been here a few times, and every time Ive come, the food has been sooooo very good. l dive in so quickly that I always forget to take pictures, haha. One of these days, lol. I really like the mushroom, truffle Gnocchi toped with arugula sprinkled with some toasted walnuts. Ive tried the ravioli as well, and it is also very good. Their pizzas are incredible as well!! Food is bomb, get the short ribs

I have been to many Italian restaurants, but with all the hype about Buco, I did not enjoy anything about the food. It was the most tasteless calzone that I ever ate. Even my other friends thought that the food was nothing to write home about. Surely wont be dining there again whenever we visit St. Albert. Disappointed!

I have probably come here 50+ times. It is my favourite restaurant, however I need to mention a problem I have been noticing over the last year or so that has gotten progressively worse. There are way too many flies that roam around and each time I come there seems to be more of them. I hope management can solve this issue because it really ruins the environment and meal having to swat flies away from my food.

I ve been a fan of Bucos for years however lately the pizza is always burnt or soggy without cheese. My entire pizza order this evening was burnt to the point the bottom side was black. This is very unfortunate as we will have to find a new pizza joint. With the cost of eating out I expected better.

We have eaten here many times and loved the food. It was 1130 am Friday Sept 1/23. The waitress refused my request to sit at a table with 4 chairs saying they were ALL reserved. They were not all reserved. There was only one other couple in the whole restaurant. There were no reserved signs on the tables. The bench seat she gave us was too low for 2 of us very short 5 woman. And anyone on the bench seat was looking at the kitchen to our right and dirty dishes etc. I was very polite to her throughout and in the end said we will eat elsewhere. My complaint was that she had the power but we were her customers. We were elderly and felt slighted by her. We have never been treated like that at Buco before.

Our server (think her name is Carling; employee 5717) was awesome. Quick to put water on our table, quick to ask us if we wanted anything else. Quick to order. Asked us once how our food was (I hate when waiters ask multiple times). Took out plates away as soon as we were done. Gave us the bill right away. Honestly didnt give try hard vibes (which I also like ) Was seamless and easy. Loved the food as per usual. I enjoy coming to this place! Great consistency.

Perhaps a Friday evening is not an ideal time to visit this establishment; the place was full, even though the food is mediocre, at best. The noise level was off the charts; the four of us were shouting and leaning forward just to have a conversation! The Rigatoni and meatballs I ordered was quite tasteless. Buco used to be one of my favourite places to eat, although had not been back for several years. It has changed and for the price, there are better places to eat in St Albert.

Sad to see how bad this restaurant is nowadays. Portions are much smaller now compared to my previous visits between January and June this year. The restaurant has always been noisy, however, now is just unbearable. Regarding the staff, I really find it hard to justify why would they ask for 18% as a default tip. They barely deserve 15% if any at all.

It was very busy in there but we were able to order food at the bar, the pizzas were amazing, the drinks were absolutely tasty and the staff (particularly the the bar tenders) were fantastic and attentive. The atmosphere at the bar was very much like being in a public house (pub) in Europe where you got chatted up by other patrons. All in all a lovely place for a relaxed date night.

Food was amazing- the bacon wrapped mozza balls are to die for- however the server with bright red hair is probably the worst server Ive had at any restaurant. She was rude, abrupt, and acted like shed rather be anywhere else. I asked a question about the happy hour menu and she ripped it out of my hands and proceeded to answer me like I was a six year old while pointing at the menu for something she easily could have just told me. You can see the whole restaurant from basically anywhere and I could see her pointing to our table and talking to a different server who took over because the other girl was off, but she was very clearly still working. The second girl was great though. Weird experience

I was there visiting in October 2023 from Ontario with my family who eat there frequently, and I really enjoyed the entire concept..food was delicious and service was amazing. Definitely would recommend

Small little cozy restaurant with great ambiance. Food and drinks were very good, my favourite place for Italian in St. Albert.

We went earlier than usual, around 5- 5:15 and it was a good thing, because it was busy. But they found us a table, which we appreciated. Service was good, friendly and attentive. Pizza was well cooked, and tasty. Well be back again for sure. Thanks for the delicious pizza

Great food and decent happy hour

My first time visiting Buco and will not be my last. Pizza was cooked perfectly and service was fast couldn t ask for more. I don t think I will be able to eat any other style off pizza again without comparing it to Buco. Thank you can t wait to come back.

I had heard great things about the gluten free pizza here. It was good, and not of hockey puck consistency like some other GF pizzas Ive had, but it was not amazing either. Crust was kind of fluffy, which seems like it should be good, but it lacked flavour and was soggy in the middle. So... One of the better GF pizzas Ive had, but Im also not really dieing to have it again. Otherwise, service was great. My wife loved her regular pizza. Id give this place a go again and try something different.

We went there on a windy sunny Friday. Between 1-3pm. We say outside. We thought it would be windy on the patio but it was perfect. Sun was shining hot weather. We tried their afternoon specials and they were great.

When making vegetarian pizza, the vegetables should be cooked together with the pizza and not cooked separately and placed on top at the end, furthermore the onion should be cooked and not raw. In your history you have had Italian pizza chefs but you havent learned anything. Never again .

Front hostess was rude. Didn t even say hello, had to engage her and was told only option was a high top table for our family with small children. Literally restaurant was 20% full and she let us walk out rather than accommodate. Happily take my business somewhere with staff that puts in an effort.

Lovely little Italian restaurant, havent been to an Italian restaurant in quite a while, and this really hit the spot. I would really reccomend trying the Assaggini Little Tastes menu, it has some of my favourite items on it! The pasta was fantastic, and make sure you save some room for the lovely desserts! Ill be back again to try out the pizza. The staff were really kind and friendly, and super helpful with the menu. Thanks again!

Good food with good waiters, it was just the front hostess that bothered me, didn t give a warm welcome, we reserved a spot, we waited for a long time even tho she let others walk in with out a reservation, and I thought that she was stereotyping me and my family. Definitely would try to find a different hostess?

Took my kids to pizza and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. I didnt realize for the longest time its wood-fired pizza which I love. The pizza was good. they use the 00 type of flour which is light and has a nice chew to it, Neapolitan style pizza. Quick Cap. 1. Came in at a slow time but somehow they got busy but I was seated and served quickly 2. Friendly, clean and great atmosphere What we ordered 1. Margarita Pizza- We usually order this because its a classic and my kids love it. Biggest difference, lots of cheese and lots of tomatoes sauce, it was great! 2. Truffle Fries- We came in happy hour so it was only $6, it was very crispy and great tip. The portion was pretty good too. 3. Carne Pizza- It was good but lack of the short rib piece, a little salty because of the bacon

Business lunch, my Salmon was awesome and everybody enjoyed the food. Food was served at a correct temperature.

Excellent dining experience

Great experience this evening. The place was busy but the food and drinks came out fast and were delicious. Our waitress Audrey was working a lot of tables but she did amazing and was kind and patient with my grandfather who is hard of hearing. Delicious food and amazing staff.

Fine dining prices for less than cheap pub quality food. Pizza is over done on the outside, soggy in the middle; pasta isnt even made in house, likely ordered from Sysco foods, as is typical for most Sorrentino group owned restaurants in the past; and other options for dinner advertised as perfect for two seem more like an attempt to justify the inflated prices. If spending this kind of money to dine out, there are way better options out there, and better establishments with better owners that treat staff and patrons better than the Sorrentino group. With so many reviews and no comment from ownership (positive or negative review) is also telling. Sorrentinos does not care about customers, just the bank account. Parking: Parking was scarce. For the amount of restaurants and businesses in this complex, someone poorly planned the very limited parking spots.
