First time visitor and the food did not disappoint! For a Saturday afternoon it was actually dead and I hope it can get more busier. Server was nice, but did not seem to be happy to be there. Hope the place sticks around and I would actually love to see how packed it can get. Will definitely come again!

My partner and I came here a couple years ago and were thoroughly disappointed with the experience. Last night we decided to try again and are glad that we gave this location another shot. The service was excellent and the food was delicious, they fully redeemed themselves last night and we definitely will be returning.

Trying Famoso for the first time and the food was awesome. We ordered wings, famoso Salad & BBQ chicken pizza. Everything was delicious specially tiramisu. Great place and excellent customer service. It was amazing experience. I will definitely be back here...

Disappointing. We Got the margarita pizza and it was like a pizza soup. The outside of the pizza was cooked however the Middle of the pizza dough was still uncooked with the soup like toppings of cheese and pizza sauce all melted to the very centre of the pizza . Sadly no spoons were served with the meal

Pizza was amazing staff was very friendly and attentive. Food came out in a timely manner and I overall had a great experience. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pizzas, pastas, soup and salad options available Kid-friendliness: They offer colouring pages for the kids as well as they have booster seats and high chairs and a kids menu with a fair amount of options to choose from.

This is my $14 Caesar salad and $27 plate of pasta. Disappointed would be putting it lightly.

Best Famoso Ive been to!

If you ever find yourself with free time and you re craving pizza, you have to try Famoso Pizza! Dine-In is a must since the pizza should be enjoyed within minutes of exiting the pizza oven. The classic Margarita pizza is my favourite so far! The tiramisu was also divine. The place has a quiet and clean atmosphere and the servers are very friendly. Kid-friendliness: Servers are friendly with kids and the kids menu was simple which is perfect for picky kids and well priced.

Great service and pizza was delicious. Nicely renovated location to meet with friends.

This place is pretty good. Its nice in there, not dirty or anything. It was nice and clean. My family decided to go there for a dinner. Place was empty no one was there besides our family. We ordered our drinks they good, didn t take much time. We then ordered our food. It was good but took way to long. There was over 5 people there (in the family) and our food took around 2 hours to be served all together. It took so long to the point when all our stuff came out we decided to leave. We did order dessert. A cake and gelato. That took around 15 minutes. Food was good but service was horrible. If you are looking for a resturant, possibly try this but it will take a while.

Excellent service and delicious food. Ive been to this location before while passing through and its always been a great experience. Amanda has been our server multiple times and she is great. My favourite is the gorgonzola salad, and the quattro formaggi pizzetta with the tomato bisque soup. Dip you pizza in your soup! I highly recommend it.

We had a kids bday party here and our server, Ashley, was an absolute rock star. Not only was she was an awesome server but she went above and beyond to make the whole experience seamless, enjoyable for both kids and adults, and prompt. Pizza was great too! The space is newly renovated with what seems like new owners and servers. Give the *new* Famoso in St. A a go, it was fabulous.

Hadn t been to a Famoso in years and am I ever glad we decided to stop in. Apparently under new management.. and they did not disappoint. Service was awesome and food was amazing!

Ashley was an extremely bubbly and friendly waitress. The food was quick and delicious, especially the bruschetta. Only thing I d change is the ambient music. Maybe play Italian violins or something. Still 9/10.

I had the best pizza ever at this location (St Albert) lastnight. So much so, I came back for seconds. Service and professionalism was off the charts... Made me enjoy spending my money here.

Love the brand new renovations of this location it is very well maintained and had very clean tableware and environment. The food was amazing couldn t find anything wrong about it. Brought out fast and very well put together. Our server Hailey was absolutely wonderful and attentive with refills and getting anything if needed. She was very sweet and kind and was joking with the whole table. We all had an amazing experience and defintily will come again from the service. Very pleased with Famoso would definitely recommend. Dietary restrictions: Will meet any requests as long as they have the ingredients to do so Kid-friendliness: Was very happy they offered kids colouring sheets for the kids as well as the food coming out in little cars! The waitresses were really nice and sweet, we had no problem with the service or anything, but the cook was quite rude and creepy. I had looked around to see if I could find where the washrooms were and every time he d be staring right at us, he also had made a snide remark when we had only ordered appetizers at first just to gauge how hungry we were (my mom was hungry but she can t eat much due to a surgery she had and I have a naturally small stomach so an appetizer is usually enough) saying something similar to that s all they re having? in a rude tone, and finally he had been talking on the phone with someone using an AirPod, it was a bit weird and uncomfortable. Overall, he made it feel like we weren t welcomed and were being watched constantly, but the waitresses were very sweet and kind and did the complete opposite.

Famoso has new renos, new management and new staff. Fully enjoyed our meal here with our three young kids. Great service. Food was delicious. Pizzas loaded with toppings and very tasty (pizzas seem bigger than they were before). Can t wait to come back again!

Very disappointed! Do not bother to eat at that location and the franchise was made aware of the poor quality this restaurant is providing. The caesar salad is now made with some gross mayo, old tasty croutons and to top it off cheap krafts parmesan cheese. I Also had the prawn pesto pizza and if I m lucky there was maybe 3 extra small shrimps The restaurant was empty and that should have been my first clue. There was 2 employees that was seated and they both were on their phone in sweat pants who never bother acknowledge us, terrible customer service. The waiter was visually forcing him self to serve us, he didn t appeared of wanting to be there. All that to say I will NEVER go to that location again and hopefully, that s the only one they own.

Pretty good, but you can definitely tell its changed ownership. Still pretty good pizza, service wasnt as good as wed had before but still good.

The food we recieved from this location was terrible, the LARGE margarita pizza had almost no basil or cheese, the LARGE Ceasar salad was tiny and tasted terrible, just lettuce and dressing. Bruschetta was virtually all onion and tiny! But thats fine because the bread slices were the size of a Melba toast... Wont be eating in or taking out again from here.

Food is great makes you want to get every last drop of sauce and every last crum. Every time I come here the service is fantastic. Everything is a five star here at famoso St. Albert better then any other I ve been to.

Should of read prior reviews.... stopped in for lunch and had a pizza and sangria. Took 15 min to make the drink and was missing 1/2 the ingredients. Asked for extra basil on pizza... only came with one leaf per slice. Asked for chili or olive oil for my pizza. The waiter had to bring me a cup with oil as they dont have dispensers. The staff was friendly but grossly under trained. The restaurant looks nice.

Food is just awful, salty and not freshly made. We didnt even get what weve ordered. I feel hungry and deceived. Just avoid this restaurant location... The owner responce is ridiculous since it was a take out not dinning in. If I was there and served this kind of food, I would complain right away.

This doesn t even deserve 1 star. They served me my pizza with mouldy onion on it & no apology. Not to mention a dirty table, a dirty cup, no coffee drinks, no gelato, no ham for ham & pineapple 2 options of ice cream to go and no to go spoon. I had to stop at the dollarama down the road so the kids could eat their ice cream. To top it off, the people working in there had no customer service skills. I won t be back.

After many great experiences at the Whyte Ave location thought we would try the St. Albert location. Terrible decision. Ingredients left off pizza, staff did not know how to process an online order refund for items unavailable and the cans of pop were extremely dirty and gross. Will not be back to this location. This was on 2023-03-28.

I have been here 3 times within the 6 months or so (twice for lunch and once for dinner). I m not sure when or why, but this location is terrible compared to how it was 5 years ago, which is such a shame as it is in a great location and is cozy inside. We were the only people in the restaurant all 3 times. That should ve been red flag #1. The service was truly terrible all 3 times. The young man drops your food off, then you re left to fend for yourself. No water or drink refills. You re not checked on. You have to go up to the kitchen area, flag him down & ask for your receipt. All 3 times, items were missing from the menu. I don t mind if you tell me ahead of time that you re out of something, but it s not a good impression to deliver someone s food to the table that s missing ingredients (ingredients listed on the menu) & not bother saying anything until the customer asks where the missing ingredient is. Truly disappointing given how great this location used to be. I can t see them staying open much longer given the numerous poor reviews citing the same complaints.

The only positive aspect of our visit to Famoso tonight was the attentive service of our young server. After being seated, and ready to order we were told that the restaurant was not serving alcohol. So much for a beer and pizza My pesto prawn pizza came out in a very poor state. Prawns were all rock hard (I suspect freezer burned) and not edible. The sun dried tomatoes were completely burned - I first thought they were large black olives. The pesto was plopped in 3 large piles on three pieces of pizza - not spread evenly. Our young server noticed my uneaten pizza and tried his best to improve it by having the kitchen make me some new prawns (some still freezer burned). There was no atmosphere in the restaurant - silent, with no music playing, single TV with Oilers game on mute, and several booths with vinyl torn or in disrepair. Then at 7:15 they started turning off their neon Open window signs. Their posted closing time was 8:00pm. This was a huge disappointment, and downturn from our last visit over a year ago.

I used to serve at this location 3+ years ago before the change of ownership. Holy what a change in quality. I ordered a small bbq chicken pizette with a famoso salad and this totalled nearly $30. It looks like they forgot half the toppings on my pizza and just threw some raw onion on top after it was cooked. No cilantro at all. I also live out of town and this was supposed to be a treat that I drove 15 mins in for. The small portions were justifiable for the quality before, but now this is just overpriced cardboard. Really disappointing as I loved the food when I worked here and I likely won t come back. Edit***I will be going for a return, the spicy sopresseta was BAD and smelled as rank as the tiny piece I unfortunately tasted.

Unfortunately this location shows its ownership change. We walked into the restaurant at 11:30am fully expecting it to be open for lunch. The door was unlocked so we walked in, and were told it opens at 12. Ok, so we leave for a bit and check online- yes the hours have been drastically reduced all week: M-F 4-8 pm and weekends 12-8 or something. With being a healthy amount of time for an established restaurant to re-grow after the Pandemic, that should have been our first red flag. We go back around 12:30 ish and absolutely no one was inside- only staff and they seems shocked that we walked in- 2nd red flag. We walked through the store and noticed how unclean it was: dust on the peeling booths, chairs stacked in random places, ect. It was actually kind of sad knowing what it looked like years ago at its peak. 3rd red flag. To be honest we shouldn t have stayed, but we were all hungry and talked our little one into pizza so by that point it was all he wanted. Service was meh- they were nice but not overly knowledgeable, timely or attentive. They didn t have alcohol or a couple other items. The food was good but not how I remember it. The entire hour we were there not a soul walked in. There was no one on the patio on a hot Saturday. There didn t seem to be any skip the dishes or Uber eats drivers coming in for orders. I will be honest and say that unless something drastic happens, this location will not last in St. Albert. Super sad.

Im not sure what has happened to Famoso St. Albert. Granted, it has been awhile since my wife and I were in but things have changed. We went in at 7:00 PM last night and had to look inside and check the doors to see if the restaurant was open. Two people working. Absolutely no atmosphere and an immediate feeling the staff didnt want us when we walked in. We sat ourselves, which is expected. What we didnt expect was to almost be asked what wed like for an appetizer after getting our menus two minutes earlier. No wine. No beer. As we were told, Absolutely no wine or beer! No explanation as to why. Got a Pepsi and waters to drink. No refills the entire time we were there. Wasnt approached by the staff after our food was brought to us and then again after we were finished. Our bill came to us very quickly. I must say, the food was fine. Service, or lack of and overall vibe; into the negatives. We will not be back.

Its been several months since we visited here, and unfortunately, this was not a great experience. My favorite cesear salad was almost devoid of dressing, the croutons were REALLY well toasted and Im sure that was bacon... not the prosciutto chips we were charged for. No liquor licence.... the pizza ... Abruzzio... really well done too. Highlight was our server Brennan....he was his usual gracious, accommodating, prompt and polite. Will will likely not return till the anticipated renovation are complete. No accommodation in the bill for the poor quality of the food.......that falls on THE M.O.D.

Went to the re-opening of this location with new management and staff. Waitresses and hostess were so kind and attentive. Food was fresh and really yummy, like I expect from a Famosos restaurant. I like that you can see everyone working with the wide open floor plan. Cooks and waitresses all seemed to really get along with one another, which juat makes for a great atmosphere.

Amazing ambience, great food and hospitality. Loved the authentic pizza coming out of the stone oven in 5 minutes. Awesome place for dine in with friends and family. Highly recommended.

New ownership and staff are very friendly and attentive. Im in love with the Abruzzo neapolitan pizza, its so good!!! I will be coming back very soon to try more menu items.

I was in the restaurant yesterday and had Amanda as my server. She was very pleasant and knew her job. She gave us lots of options for the menu when asked what she recommended. Service was great!!

The pizza was delicious. Salads are amazing and the latte was smooth. Worth a stop for authentic pizza. You ll thank me! I hear it is under new management. I ´ll be back for sure. Vegetarian options: I also saw vegan options.

This location was a family favorite when it first opened but unfortunately went down hill when new owners purchased it. However, we gave it a try tonight after hearing about their recent reno and new ownership. We had a great meal with great service! Will definitely be back!

It was amazing. Sicilian meat lovers was delish! I would recommend to anyone that likes a low gluten flat crust baked fresh. The order my family recieved from this location was dismal. 140 dollars we were charged for food that was not even edible. I have been a customer of famoso for 10 years. My family loves the food. We moved to st albert recently and wanted some great pizza and salads. That is NOT what we got from them. Save your hard earned money and stay away from this location!

Probably the worst of all Famousos we have visited. Service was slow/ not attentive. The pizza was blah. No refills offered. Bathroom had one light. All the rest were burnt out. Nice location for space but we wont be back.

Walked in and we were directed to a table and some menus in some heavy plastic covers were handed over. No music except for the occasional ring tone from the skip dishes guys. Felt super awkward. We get pizza and it is missing mushrooms and drizzle of oil. I attempted to ask for some on side and guy looked at me like I was on drugs. So decided to just try pizza. Very bland pizza especially when chorizo pizza is supposed to be spicy. Very dry salad. I used to love this location for lunches with my mom but I will not be going back. Quality of food way down with zero atmosphere I wouldn t suggest it for anyone.

I like Famoso but this location is the worst.When we came there to buy pizza one of the workers was sleeping at the table all the time,another guy was walking everywhere wearing his outwear (even kitchen). I had a feeling that I entered not a restaurant but someone s home and ask for a pizza.The staff was not professional. Seems like they don t care about the customers at all . Pizza was not good. This was my experience. Will never go back to this location in future.

This place is nothing like it used to be. Their ceaser salad has a few bland croutons and about 3 shreds of Parmesan on it and what tastes like a store bought dressing. My spouse ordered a highball and received a drink with no alcohol, when I said something to the waiter, he said well that s not what the other waiter told me and left. I received my ceaser cocktail with 1/3 of the rim salted, with a lemon instead of a lime and no pickled bean. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took half an hour to receive our simple dishes. And we had to get up and get someone to pay before we left after waiting another 20 minutes after being given a takeout box. The chain in general has gone down hill but this location specifically is really below par for famoso.

Ordered Famoso to go. I work out of town and theres an amazing authentic italian style pizza joint where i work. I was craving it, and Famoso was the closest I could get to it without driving a few hours. First and last time I visit this location. I picked up my order. Overall just very disappointed in the taste and quality. The sauce was cheap and bland, doesnt look or taste fresh. The topping quality and consistency was sad as well. The crust was decent, but everything was ruined by the sauce.

I love Famoso pizza the way it SHOULD be and not the way it IS. Cutting down on toppings thus increasing the dough to topping ratio is not cutting it for me. Why cheapen the product in the interest of saving money? You will just lose customers...

Our family visited this location last night and will not be returning. This location must have changed ownership and it is definitely not like it used to be. Once we were seated it took 15 minutes for someone to come take our order, then it took another 15 minutes to get our drinks and 2 out of 5 of them were incorrect. We ordered chocolate milk for our son and it was hardly chocolate milk. It was white milk with very, very little chocolate syrup. Then we got 2 out of 5 of our dinners and waited another 5 minutes to get the other 3, the waitress served another table before bringing the rest of our meals. The food was definitely not like it used to be either. Two of our pizzas were cold and our kids pasta was cold. Save yourself the time and go to a different restaurant.

Last week we were craving pizza and the closest Famoso to us was the St.Albert location. Never been to this location before but after experiencing disgusting beer, bland food, and server kept saying I dont have that right now to few of our favorites..will definitely NOT be going back there again. We have been going to Famoso over the years and never got bad food,service but location is NOT where you want to spend your hard earnd $$$. Better go to the downtown location!

We LOVE Famoso but will never return to this location. The last few times here it just gets worst and worse. Bad service and bad food. Just not the same as other locations. I don t know what happened here in the past few years.

Cant say I will return to this location, the young man was on his phone the whole time even when dealing with me, he was actually talking on the phone via an ear piece while cashing me out and basically ignoring me. He forgot and forgot to put the basil, artichoke, and it was over cooked. If you think this pizza is good go to Namao location to be blown away by the food and staff.

Famoso was once my favourite restaurant but now its my least favorite place. The menu has changed for the worse (no specials, deals or anything). Customer service is horrible in person and over the phone. Restaurant isnt special anymore. Must be the new ownership because it doesnt feel the same as it once was. My friend and I went for lunch and everything was disappointing. from the service, to the atmosphere and the menu specially. I know others feel the same way too. I will not return ever again.

The food quality has gone down significantly since new ownership a few years ago. I ordered the bisque and a caesar salad for takeout the salad had brown pieces throughout, and definitely wasnt worth the $15. The dressing tasted like something from Superstore, not like what they used to put on the caesar salads it was creamy, not oily like it used to be. The feta cheese on the bisque tasted off, and the bread was burnt. Not worth it and I wouldnt recommend.

Our server was nice but he did wear dirty clothes the floors are all dirty the tables chairs aswell, washroom had only one light working which was way to dark, very disgusting aswell The food was different to all others famoso places, portion way smaller then other famosos The bread which comes with the soup was very dry and had no butter or spices on it. The gelato freezer is disgusting dirty and they not even trying to hide it it s right on the front, can t believe people would even buy it. How can that be food safe ??? When you guys don t stop to cheap out on food portion, spices butter etc oh and lights btw and don t start to clean properly, this place will never survive! Especially in St.Albert

Wow - I wish there was a -1 . I read the reviews before I took my son for dinner. The last time I took my family there was maybe 5 or 6 years ago and my wife and I agreed the value wasnt quite there, but the food was decent enough. Ive got to say 99% of the reviews I read were on-point. Is this place just a front for laundering money now. So bad. Flavorless pizza and not made in a true Neopolitan fashion, i.e.: soggy as h*ll. WAY overpriced for such poor quality. If I want Panago, Ill get Panago. Will not be going back. And before the mgmt writes a reply to this review ... please save your time, because clearly, you dont gaf about customer satisfaction or improving. Just keep on washing that dirty cash. $50+ for that garbage tonight - unbelievable.

The dough was good, but there was nothing on the pizza, like literally there was more then one piece with no cheese or toppings on it, for a 24 dollars pizza it should be a hell of a lot better, especially when the tools and ingredients are given to you not worth the money at all

First and last time at this location. Absolutely horrible experience. Visited the restaurant with my family for dinner and was not impressed. Ordered pasta, salad and 2 large margarita pizzas. Pasta and salad tasted fine (pasta was under-portioned). Pizzas were the issue. The pizzas came to us with almost no basil. Every other restaurant you order margarita pizza at puts you leaves of basil. It s a big part of the margarita pizza. They had tiny specs of it essentially sprinkled on the pizza. I went to grab a slice and it was so soggy and the dough so thin in the middle, it was so unappetizing. After trying the pizza we were definitely disappointed. All we tasted was cheese. No sauce taste or basil. When the server finally checked on us and asked how the food was (at the very end of the meal) I commented the salad and pasta were fine but the pizza was not good at all and I told him why and he essentially ignored me and walked away. I don t know if it was a language barrier or he did not care? Anyways, it reflected in the $0 I left for a tip. When I reached out after to notify the store of my experience, the manager emailed me and offered a pizza for the trouble. Are you kidding me?? I had a horrible experience and you are offering me another pizza!? How about my $40 back for the money spent on awful tasting pizza? We ended up throwing out a pizza and a half. What a waste. The response from management speaks volumes about this location. Avoid! Oh and the place was not clean. Tables were dirty and the bathroom was a mess. I really do regret eating here, especially after reading some reviews that align with the experience I had here. It s sad especially when you see staff sitting on break in the dine-in area with the place looking like that. Go to Ripe Tomato and get 4-large pizzas for the same price. And they actually taste like margarita pizzas are supposed to!

Used to be very good under prior ownership. I don t know what happened but food quality and service have gone downhill. I will not be back here. There are plenty of pizza restaurants that do a better job, for a better price.

We visited this famoso location a few years ago and it was great! Today we visited and our experience was not great! The restaurant was empty, that should have been our first clue. We ordered pizza, caesar salad, meatballs and wings. Absolutely nothing was the same as it was, and different to all other famoso restaurants weve visited. The wings were not fresh and the dip was not the parmesan dip, but some cheap ranch dip. The caesar dressing was different and very sparsely incorporated with no cheese. The pizza sauce was different...as well the dishes were not served with the cheese or garnishes that usually accompany these items. It seems management has decided to swap in cheaper substitutes...but this is not what we expect from famoso at all, and why were willing to pay a little more for top quality food. I think the worst thing is that, from where we sat we could smell a foul odour....like a sewer backup. We came to this location to celebrate our sons birthday today as our location in west Edmonton closed after the pandemic. We will not be returning.

My Rigatoni Bolognese had absolutely no flavour, the Rigatoni was so overcooked it was falling apart, it was the messiest looking pasta I have ever seen, no parmesaen cheese offered, no salt and pepper on the table. The ?garlic? bread had no garlic and part of it was missing. The Fettuccine Alfredo was SWIMMING in sauce. Service was so so. Yes I did leave a decent tip. The server didnt prepare the meal. He did ask at one point how it was. I said ok he didnt ask anything else. By then I just wanted to go home and make supper.

Poor experience. This location used to be lively and fun to visit. Now, the service is slow and the restaurant is dead. Our server sat inside at a booth chatting with her friend almost the entire time while we waited for service on the patio. The food was still good but I was overall unimpressed with the quality of service I received.

Walked in thinking it was Famoso. Walked out wondering how they re allowed to have that name Famoso used to be my favourite restaurant. Hadn t been in a while and was in St. Albert so thought I d go there for an early dinner on Friday. Arrived at 3:45 and there was no one in the restaurant or on the patio. In hindsight, I should have walked out. I thought it was just a weird time of day and that s why no one was there. Then it all started to make sense. There were storage boxes just laying out, staff were sitting around a table as we entered. They all promptly got up when we arrived and came to serve right away. Our chairs were dirty (seemed there were crumbs on every one of them at the high top long table) and the server saw me wiping them and didn t even say anything. We ordered and my cousin took my recommendation on their Caesar salad .Well needless to say l, a bowl of romaine with a tiny bit of parm showed up (dressing was requested to be on the side). The Caesar salad used to have their signature Caesar dressing and used to be phenomenal. This was a store bought one (think Kraft Caesar) that showed up. The food came out promptly (which it should have because there were 6 workers and we were the only customer) and we were asked if we wanted parm, chilli flakes and salt and pepper. Yes please! The salt wouldn t come out of the grinder so I asked for another one and she said they were out of salt .The pepper also wouldn t come out, so she took it away and fixed it and then brought it back. I was able to get a little bit out then. The pizza ended up being very delicious but the toppings were used sparingly. We sat for a bit waiting for the server to clear our dishes she never did. She FINALLY came over after ending her conversation with her co-worker and we asked for the bill. She asked if we wanted it together or separate and I said together to make things easier. We would split it down the middle when the machine came. Well, it was very telling that she didn t appreciate this. She huffed and said that she can t do that and walked away and came back with a very annoyed attitude. I would highly recommend going somewhere else like Buco. This place won t be around for long as I m not the only one who had this experience according to the other reviews I m seeing they got 2 stars instead of 1 because the pizza was good.

Place was empty and it didn t take long to figure out why. Our server came over and basically stood there - we had to initiate the conversation the entire time. Other staff slouched across adjacent booths on their phones and looked at us like it was an inconvenience having us in their restaurant. Meanwhile the place was dirty, there were boxes of supplies in the eating area and tables weren t even wiped. This place used to be good but is now a dump with overpriced food and horrible service. Will never go back, avoid at all costs. So many better options in the area.

The food was alright, but we weren t seated by staff and the tables we had to choose from were not clean. The prices have definitely gone up since the last time I ve been there as well. The service over all was terrible, never got refills on drinks without stopping and asking the servers and they weren t even able to split our bill. What restaurant in 2022 cannot split a bill?!

Very poor experience. Pizza and pasta undercooked, tiny portions, dirty floor and tables. Will not be returning to this location.

Honestly best traditionnel pizza place in entire Edmonton and surroundings. All their food is 10/10. The service and the owners attitude is at its best! My family has been into restaurant business and I definitely recommend this restaurant for family members of all ages!

Usually Famoso is one of our favourite restaurants, but this location was incredibly sketchy! The items we ordered were not prepared how they usually are and none of the four meals ordered tasted good, the restaurant was dirty, and the atmosphere was overall very uncomfortable. The waiter even at one point leaned over our food and got soup over his sleeve. We joked when we first walked in that the restaurant must be a front for something, but the longer we stayed there the less that seemed like a joke. Very uncomfortable experience.

Our family will never return to this restaurant again. The owner yelled at my daughter for putting Parmesan cheese on her pizza. He then harrassed us about using Parmesan cheese so we left. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you have kids who enjoy Parmesan cheese.

They closed the ovens two hours before close and said that they couldn t serve me an my friend for dinning in. Very disappointed, lack of customers for 30 minutes doesn t excuse closing of the ovens.

The food quality at this location is lacking to say the least! The margaritas had no basil, no cheese pieces, and our other one was dry with zero flavor. Other locations are much better. If youre in St albert, Buco down the road has much better quality pizza for the same price

Food was good. My friend and I were very put off by being interupted every 5 minutes by the servers and asked to order dessert when we just got our pizza. We had intended to order dessert but left after our pizza so we could finish a conversation in peace.

We ordered pizza and the dough was not cooked. It s thin crust pizza, I don t even know how you can undercook thin crust pizza. We used to love this location and the past few experiences have been so disappointing.

Prosciutto Arugula. Even on GF crust, is amazing. The limoncello lemonade also awesome. Also, an empty patio, only people here, it was great

Quality has been going downhill lately. I ordered a pizza from there today and it looks like soup.

Waited 20 minutes, wasnt even busy. Waitress brought food that one person at our table (who arrived early) had ordered, but didnt even so much as offer drinks. No acknowledgement whatsoever. She then proceeded to serve people who had arrived after us. She sent the friend out after us to offer really fast service. Too little too late, sorry. Very disappointed. Worst service Ive ever seen.

Ordered for lunch today, this is an $11 half salad pen in the container so that you can see the bottom of the container is barely covered with lettuce, there is less than half of one tomato and two pieces of cheese. Also did not come with any basil or Italian seasonings. The other two Cesar salads we got in our orders the containers were full to the top with lettuce. Not at all worth $11.

Very good pizza

The menu has changed so couldnt order the walnut salad and soup combo... Which was a little disappointing. Service was not bad but left a lot to be desired. The plating needs work as the main course was mixed in with the salad. Also, there was a repair man using a impact wrench on the front door and we couldnt hear ourselves think!! The inly redeeming quality was the company we were with. Not sure I will go again...

An absolutely terrible experience. This place should be shut down for lack of cleanliness and unethical business practices. First when I asked to order the pizzeta with salad they said it was only available before 4pm. It was for my 4 year old daughter so I asked for a kids menu, when I was told I couldnt get the smaller pizza. They told me they didnt have a kids menu. After leaving I checked the website for that specific location. There are no time restrictions I see for ordering a pizzeta and they do in fact have a kids menu. They flat out lied to me to make me spend more. We ordered a pizza and caesar salad. The pizza was pretty good but the caesar salad didnt even have caesar dressing on it. It was just a vinegarette or italian dressing. My daughter still liked it though so I tried to just enjoy it. I asked for a to go box for the rest of the salad. The first one brought had dried food on the lid and red liquid in the bottom of it. I asked for a different one. The second one had water spots on the lid and crusted food bits inside. I asked for another one again. I also asked if they were washing their to go containers and trying to reuse them....I was given no response. A different style container was brought to me and it was fine. Then came the bill. Instead of bringing me a bill a debit machine was dropped off at the table as the server walked by. When he came back I said I would like to see my actual bill before paying. I was told the machines were down and I couldnt get a bill. I said Im not comfortable not knowing what I paid for, especially when this wasnt a great experience. I asked for a manager. He told me there was no manager there. Then he offered to take me to the front counter to show me the bill on their computer screen. Totally acceptable.... until I saw the total. It was lower than what he had entered on the debit machine by about $5. I asked why this was. He says he took my daughters drink off the bill. Still skeptical on that but possible I suppose.... as a side note my daughter also got a different flavor of gelato than what we ordered. No biggie since she still liked it though. Very disappointing experience from a restaurant that I used to love ordering from. I actually didnt even eat my leftovers even though we only had 2 slices of pizza while there. I thought about the to go containers which made me question the restaurants cleanliness in general and I was too grossed out to eat it.

Quality has significantly deteriorated since the restaurant opened. I have visited a couple of times over the last several months and was disappointed with the unappetizing (undercooked) food and the general run-down appearance of the restaurant. I much prefer other locations. This place needs the management team they had when it first opened.

Tonight was my first time getting pizza from here and it was a great experience. The pizza was yummy, and the person I dealt with was SO wonderfully friendly and kind!

I ordered through Skip the Dishes. The food was cold and mediocre. I paid for a half salad that was just lettuce and a three slices of chicken. Disappointed in a local restaurant that I was happy with in the past.

Manager is a basket case. Lost it over me telling her that the pizza was undercooked (rubbery raw dough) and that basil should be added after so it is not wilted to nothing. I asked for a refund or gift card she refused. Then spouted off about how skip the dishes are the issue everyones a liar blah blah blah. Picked the order up in person . Anywho terrible managment terrible product, friendly staff. Will be my last time at this establishment. Guess they dont need the money.

first of all i never take the time to write reviews but this is the worst famoso location! avoid if possible! EVERY SINGLE TIME we order for pickup there is something wrong with the pizzas and we have finally had enough. just today i had to go back into the restaurant twice with the pizzas, then when we got home we noticed yet another thing messed up, they have zero quality control. its actually sad because the food is really good when they actually get it right. Ordered from skip the dishes some Lasagna sent me partly burnt lasagna.

I always get the Vesuvio (sp.), It has never disappointed. Famoso is a great place to go if your intent is to impress your date with great tasting food and a chill, neopolitan atmosphere. Yeah, Famoso is a franchised restaurant, I know I know, but this is a franchise that really has its formula nailed down. Did you know their ovens are all imported from Italy? They can cook an entire pizza from raw to cooked in, like, 90 seconds or something. Ask your server for more details though, Im just an impressed and biased customer.

Our order didnt print so we had to wait. No compensation.. some staff were less than personable.. this location needs some managment... badly

I had the lasagna. It was delicious. The sauce and cheese were perfect. The salad was fresh and full of toppings with great dressing. I ll be back.

I always order the same pizza Cavoletti cause its my favourite. I was so disappointed on Friday as it did not taste the same as all the other time i have gotten it. The brussel sprouts were in did chunks and the usual flavor was not there.

Great tasting pizza and great icecream

After about 30 visits to various Famoso locations we were finally disappointed with a pizza. We had the Prawn Pesto pizza for about the fifth time, first at this location and it was very sub-par. The crust was burned on the bottom, it came to the table luke warm, the pesto was applied in a few globs not spread out as it should have been, the arugula was not as fresh as it could have been, etc. They seem like nice folks and I hope that they read this and learn from it because when people take the time and energy to visit their restaurant, they expect and deserve well made, consistent, delicious food!

I walked in at 7 PM and was told they are closed. Their hours on Monday are until 10 and they decided to close 3 hours early. Im definitely not returning here ever again. I wanted to share my experience to save anyone their time in case they wants to go there and is expecting them to be open

Fresh and great service

One star, because zero wasnt an option. Just had the triple/double pepperoni, $25 pie - a $10 7-11 cardboard special would have been an improvement. If this is double cheese, I would hate to see single cheese. Worst Pizza I have had in years and we have been a Famoso customer since the first store.

Great food and friendly service!

Managment here is top notch. They really go above and beyond for customers. The food is good quality but its the service that really puts it over the top. They overheard that it was my birthday after we had finished our food and paid and they came out with free gelato as their gift to me. Its very clean and the covid standards are upheld very well.

The food was all delicious and the service was also awesome! Very impressed with this location and will be back in the future

The staff at Famoso are so wonderful! They wrote on the box for me for my Valentine and sent me a picture of it to show me. :) Could not be happier with this level of service, and I dont ask for anything like this very often so it is even more special. <3

Great food, horrible service. Went in for lunch today it wasn t busy. Our server came to check all the tables around us didn t once check on us. My glass sat empty I had to bring it to the front myself to get a refill. Won t be back.

Jaime is by far the best waitress I have had the pleasure of meeting. She is attentive and polite. By no means was it easy to help a table of 13 with 5 children but the food came out fast and on time. I will say the manager though at this location was quite rude and abrasive. She was clearly overwhelmed and you could visibly tell by her disposition and facial expressions she was not in a good mood and shouldn t be interacting with customers. When she brought food out she just dropped it on the table and disregarded who the food was for.

The orders were all wrong, no apology and we wound up just paying for an extra appetizer ..... will not be going back....which it too bad because the appetizers were amazing. I will say though that I did receive follow up with management and they did an amazing job with their input and solutions.

Do not order take out from here! We ordered 2 pizzas ( ham and pineapple and capriccosa) on Friday night and when they arrived the thin crust one was all soggy and the thick crust Sicilian one had all the toppings piled on one side. Very disappointed in the quality of the food. Will not be going back.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch one day. He had a large salad and I had the small salad and the wiseguy lunch special. Everything was outstanding, our server was exceptional. 4 or 5 days later I took some friends there. I think there were 10 of us with 6 being children. 3 of us shared a triple double pepperoni, everyone had something different. The food was all outstanding and the service was great. This is my favorite restaurant in st albert. Cant wait to visit again and try some more dishes.
