I just ordered my first donair from Nitzas, and it was surprisingly VERY close to the quality of those from Halifax!!! Simple ingredients, but SO tasty, and reasonably priced as well

Placed an order today at 3:52PM to be delivered at 6:00PM. They called at 6:18PM to advise they were too busy and our food would be 1 to 2 hours late. The only option was to cancel or wait. Not even anything about correcting their mistake or anything. Bad, bad service!

DO NOT ORDER IF YOU SUSPECT IT WILL BE A BUSY NIGHT!!!! We ordered 6 Pizzas & 2 Fries at 2:30pm scheduled to be delivered at 6:00pm. Originally we tried for earlier but they said it was too busy for delivery at that time but that 6:00 would be alright. 6:15 they call and say that it will be another hour, do we want to cancel our order or wait? Well we had a house full of people waiting for food so decided to wait. 7:45 they called and asked if we still wanted it and it would come right away. Pizza showed up at 8:30 the food was just fine. The service was abysmal. Not even an apology when it was delivered

Been coming here since I was in junior high and it s just the absolute best, the price is good, the pizza is always amazing and they have awesome delivery! Also ask for their super fries!!! Absolutely cannot go wrong with it even though it s not on the menu.

Even thou I was willing to pay for the Higher price instead eating 2 spaghetti by myself ! I and friends we used to order from this place, BUT NEVER AGAIN .

Ordered 3for1 pizza, fries and onion rings , i saw the fries fall off from the container and using hands sweep it back to container , i ignore it as i came from work and just want to go home badly , the price menu is not right as what he charged me , i phoned and he said he can t do anything about it as he is not the owner , i guess there s a new management to this place now , is not the same as previous owner

K is it just me or is this pizza not what it used to be let s say ..going back about 5yrs. It s just not a good pizza anymore, it s just bland and flavourless it seems. The dough doesn t even seem the same. I grew up in St.A and this used to be a staple, and it just hasn t been the same for years now. Honestly it just saddens me. Realistically I can get better tasting frozen pizzas from the grocery store.

I don t know how this place has a 4-star rating!? This is the worst pizza I ever had, period. Gross, cold, soggy crust, dirty tasting meat, hardly any cheese .absolutely terrible.

Ive ordered from here for literal decades, it has always been great. The donair pizza is perfect, you should try it if you havent yet. An aside, but one time, years ago, I was trying to walk home in -35C, and as I was passing Nitzas, this one delivery driver gave me a lift. Best restaurant.

Replace friendly service great pizza

Really sad cause I personally love nitzas, but I specifically ordered a gluten free pizza for a celiac family member and asked the lady what meats were gf as well. She assured me that the bacon and donair meat were so that s what I ordered. My family member immediately stated that her stomach hurt after eating the pizza then proceeded to throw up after. Safe to say it was contaminated or one of the meats actually was not gf. If you re gluten free or celiac, avoid this place at all costs.

Buddy used my card cuz the driver didnt have change for 100 and he well over tipped by 180 ish and the driver caught it came back and said hey this isnt write...very much appreciated even though it wasnt me that would pay the difference I respect that, good bunch of people and that guy deserves a raise in my mind or a bonus of some sort...I gave a extra tip but that honesty is very much respected and deserves it

We order and they said at least 45 min to a hour. Granted we are. Only 5 min away but when the pizza show up in 15 min I was surprised. The pizza was cold and very under cook, we had to cook it again. After we cook it again the pizza was the greatest. We phone the place back and never really had any apologies and just ask what we want and seam to be in a hurry to get us off the phone. We have ordered from here many times and never a a problem. Be cautious. New staff?

Hey folks! I am gonna let you know about the hygiene concern about this location. I went to place a order for a Donair the guy over the counter was touching his face so many times and rubbing his nose ,walking around Donair section and preparing the food ,for me it was a big no no for me to walk away from the place also he was not even wearing gloves to touch the veggies and how can I trust the guy to even smoke or use the washroom and clean his hands after. if in front of me he was touching his face constantly and his nose. the management should make sure to put the hygiene factor as a priority, I heard some staff saying him Bob and some order details so i can pinpoint the guy Regardless I am not going back until they make sure staff is fully aware of these hygiene factor

Hands down this is the absolute best Donaires and Donaire pizza I have had the pleasure of having from all over Canada! People TRAVEL hours just to eat their pizzas and Donaires! While youre there try to buy a bottle of their hand made sweet sauce lol its liquid gold Kid-friendliness: Open for all ages, young and old

I went yesterday night to pick up pizza for the Oilers Game. I was told that this was the best pizza, so I drove from the South side. Not only was the pizza was amazing, the customer service was exceptional. Tim was super friendly and nice. Ill be back for the good pizza and amazing customer service.

Bob was amazing and friendly and funny. Excellent pizzas. We tried the donair, beef and onion, ham and pine apple, veggie, pepperoni with mushrooms and meatlovers, and the calamari with dill sauce. Everyone was pleased with their food choices. Only, minor complaint, no coffee, juice or pop. Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free and lactose free options available.

The food ,is ok .... the donairs are rilly not that great for a place that has had them on the menu for so long you would think they would have lettuce . You have a choice between regular size or super , which I rilly cant tell the difference. Ordered take out waited for 20 minutes just to go in and find out the woman didnt even take down my order and had to re-order and wait another 20 minutes .... cmon man 4 donairs dont take any donair shop that long to make . I suggest sticking to just pizza ,but im not rilly impressed with the portion sizes of the pizza eighther .

Amazing

Nitzas has been a pizza staple for myself and my friends for decades. The food is terrific, they are quick, and the food is hot hot hot when you pick it up. They run pretty old school, you have to call to order and while delivery is available we tend to pick up but even with that minor inconvenience I believe they are the best pizza in town.

Donair pizza is the only pizza my husband I go here for. Its so dam good!!! Best donair pizza in all of Edmonton for sure. Just 1 thing about this place that bothers me. The tips you leave dont go to the workers behind the counter. So I dont leave a tip which I hate doing but I hate the fact that the owners are keeping the tips even more.

They speckled the meat on which undercuts the dish, clearly shows cutting costs so the extra that I paid to add meat to my dish wasn t worth it, too bad as I ve ordered for years and now question if I ever will again

Place is waaay overpriced. If money is no object youd maybe like it but a 14 inch pizza cost 50$ I dont understand. I had their pizza cause someone else was dumb enough to pay for it but Ill never go myself. They say they are 2 for 1 but you are paying the price for 2 either way. Skeevy scammy buisness model.

Hands down, best donair pizzas in the area! Its totally worth the pick-up drive if its too far for delivery! Parking: Mini-mall parking lot. Lots of room. Wheelchair accessibility: Main floor only. No stairs or high ramps.

Love this place! Ive been going here for the best slice in town for over 15yrs. Only slight down fall is Ive ordered 3 donair sauce on the side for 2 med pizza and this is the 4th time Ive paid for them and not got it.... slightly frustrating.

The service was absolutely incredible. I believe a girl named Hamsa, helped me out. She was so sweet and so heartfelt with her dedication and commitment for work. She was able to help me out while being so patient. Thank you.

Always great food, at great prices! The 3 pasta deal is our favorite! And it comes with garlic bread! The staff is friendly and its a local business that supports local initiatives and school lunch programs. All around great!!!

These guys are always great. Although it seems like they are cheaping out on Donair sauce on their pizza. Our last order barely had any. I guess with prices going up you have to do what you have to do to make up for it. At first I thought it was me, but when we opened it on the table every meme we of the family was like where is the sauce!! I wish I took a picture of it. Still a 5 star though regardless.

Traditional family run pizzeria just like I used to work at when I was a kid, brings me back every time I sit there and wait for my order. The pizza is absolutely amazing, best around hands down and the lasagna love it instantly knew the secret ingredient to the meat sauce, it s the same as the one we used. Highly recommend this specific location, it s worth the drive I do 1hr round trip for the food.

First ever order at Nitzas was a poor start BUT Strong Finish. The first order had to be a reorder. After speaking with management, they corrected the issue. The pizza w/ DF pickles were Fantastic! Two highlights were the fresh diced tomatoes and the tzatziki dipping sauce. Delivery is free and toppings are fresh, cant beat that.

Love the pizza here! I think it may have shrunk in size. We always order the 3 for 1 large and the last couple times they look mini maybe a medium. Kind of disapointing. Ham and pineapple with donair sauce is our all time favorite!!

My family and I used to get pizza from here at least once a month for the last year. Today we ordered pizza for pickup then upon arrival there was no pizza for me. Upon further digging they figured out they gave it to a different customer with a similar name. Was told they could make me my pizza again for me but it would be a six minute wait. Got my pizza about fifteen minutes later. Usually get offered a free bottle of water or slurpee, today was not the case. So not only did I have to wait extra long they never did anything to make it right. Edit: owner got in contact with me and is trying to make the situation right. Will be returning to see if they follow up on the offer

Love the donairs. But have had issues with getting the orders correct a couple times. I do not know if its miscommunication issues or how noisy the background is, but unfortunately.. its not enough to keep me as a costumer. Pick up would be a better bet to make sure your getting what you ask for.

I have very specific nutritional requirements so I havent had a take out pizza in years. I was really wanting one and when I saw you had keto crust I wanted to try. Im so happy I did! I almost wanted to call to see if there was a mistake, the pizza tasted that good. Crisp crust, ample toppings cut so I wasnt dragging chunks off with my teeth. Super happy with this pizza and will be ordering again. As an added bonus I was offered a free water or slushy, how cool is that! Staff were friendly and the store was clean. I also noticed they won the St Albert Gazette Readers Choice Award - I can see why!

Great food weve been ordering for the past year faithfully, this has been our go to Pizza place since moved to St. Albert. However the last 2 orders theres been issues with pizza drivers either being rude or not delivering the full order.

Ordered 2 donairs and no sauce in both of the donairs.manager did nothing. I tried 2 weeks later ordered 2 lasagna with meat balls and no meat balls. Now different manager and got a sorry. Beware diffent than any other nitzas pizza I have ever dealt with in the last 7 years. I would rather drive to sherwood park.

Ordered pizza for delivery late lastnight. Whoever took our order didn t seem all that interested. After taking our order he said about 30 minutes. The pizza never came. No phone call. Nothing. The pizza never came..

Had a cheese donair with an order of fries. The donair was hands down the best I have had in a long time. I used to eat at Nitzas all the time and now I remember why. The fries were hot and very tasty by themselves and with paired the donair, and they give you LOTS of fries. Place is not new but that has no effect on the quality of food and service which was fantastic. Great place and definitely eating there more. I can t speak towards their donairs as I have never had one but I do enjoy their donair pizza. I like their 2 for 1 deal and 3 for 1 deal. It is nice getting a free small slurpee with 2 orders of pizza. I ve ordered at this location over 10 times and it has consistently been good. The baked spaghetti is decent, as good as it can be for a pizza place. The pizza crust is nice and crispy. The staff are friendly as well. Give it a try if you haven t yet.

My family and I used to get pizza from here at least once a month for the last year. Today we ordered pizza for pickup upon arrival the price was extra $11 from the price that the employee quoted me on the phone. Was told it s new employee and their price subject to change without notice (as per their policy). Cashier offered me a free bottle of water for the inconvenience !!! So not only did I have to pay extra the topping was really crispy and dry. Definitely will not be ordering from there anymore. Edit- one of the owner got in contact with me and apologised for the inconvenience caused by his employee.

What happened to this used to be a gem place? Weve been coming to this place for over 20 years. We are from Edmonton and we drive to this place all the time, thats how much we loved it. We also raved about it to family and friends. However we were very disappointed from our last visit after the pandemic. The friendliness is no longer there. The lady who is taking orders makes you feel that she is doing you a favor by taking your order. She was very unfriendly, no smile and very rude ad not very helpful. This isnt a place for someone who does not have a customer service skills. Then lets talk about their pizza. Before they were very good now however it is awful and very disappointing. Hardly any topping, hardly any cheese and very dry. When you are ordering a special pepperoni pizza and for the price that you pay you expect it to be that, but it wasnt. What a waste of our time. We will never go back. You guys needs to go back to how you were, the reason why you were sought by many. Look after your customers the way you used to.

We have been faithful Nitzas customers for over 20 year. Tonight we are highly disappointed with the service. We ordered $160 worth of food and tipped the driver $40. After noticing a food item wasn t here as well as on the slip we called back to inform them of the missing item. We even explain we were asked what flavour. They said sorry since it s not on the slip you ll have to pay for it. Very disappointed after spending such a big amount, as well as making sure we tipped the driver well according to weather.

Ordered a pizza one large pizza at 5:11 never came until 6:27 & it was cold . I understand situations but an hour and 15 minutes for one pizza and its cold is a little unacceptable considering it normally takes 30-40 minutes on a very busy day.

Good pasta. Pizza is great. Only thing that is a bit deceiving is the 3 for 1 sign. It should read But More, Pay Less. Loved the offer of a free water or slurpie. Overall excellent experience.

I came in Saturday evening and placed an order to go, an incredibly sweet girl helped me through the menu as it was my first time ordering. I am vegetarian and she recommended lots of delicious pizzas! I am not sure what her name is but she had dark long hair and red nails. She was super kind and helpful. 100% recommended

Not the Nitzas it used to be. I used to love this place as a teen back in the 90s. I tried it again for the first time in a long time, and I couldnt really say it was as I remembered. Very Light on toppings and tough, chewey bread. Im gonna say this place is off the list going forward.

Watched the Cook tonight as he dropped his tongs on the floor then immediately used them to take food from the oven. Made me want to be sick. Disgusting & disappointing. Upon bringing this up, the employee denied using dirty utensils and claimed he cleaned them ... as though I hadnt just watched this unfold with my own eyes. After nearly 3 decades of patronage, neither my family nor I will not be back. Especially after watching the Cook have a laugh about the situation with the cashier girl on duty.
