Live Music Friday 6:30 - 9:30pm No Cover
We went as a group of 6 to celebrate a colleagues birthday. We had reservations for 1230pm. We got there, and we were seated. We had no servers. So when we wanted to order, get water, get plates, get drinks we had to get out of our seat to find somebody to help us. We didn't get our food until like 2 pm, and the food was not even hot or let alone warm. Someone else then took our drink orders after we already ordered food. Again, we had to find someone to order dessert and hot drinks. The flour-less cake was actually good. When we finally finished our meal it, we asked for the bill. That was the only thing that came less than 30 seconds when we asked. While we were seated there, many groups of patrons have come and gone. For sure, this is one of the most disappointing meals for a birthday celebration I've experienced. We finally got out of the restaurant at like 3pm.
Nice and relax settings, within a glass structure. Very open area, with beautiful views and high ceiling. It is good to have a coffee break, lunch or dinner, after an enjoyable time at the Enjoy Centre. They serve good foods with good service.I love their cinnamon buns.
You’re paying for the ambience when you go for brunch here - and admittedly, it is a very beautiful space with an abundance of natural light - which makes the quality of the food all that much more disappointing. The smoked salmon Benedict is a somewhat reasonable $26 dollars, however it comes with smittys style hash browns, some dried herbs, no seasoning, and not a single caper, fried or otherwise - also the choice of picked white onion in place of traditional purple onion is interesting, to say the most. They also managed to get a double order of smoked salmon Benedict wrong twice, even coming back to check as if we were lying about it. When compared to Pip, or even any Oeb location - if you don’t care about the extra light, I would go to McDonald’s and save the extra hundred for better eggs.
I always have the best experience here!! It's my favorite spot! Today was exceptionally good! I had the chicken waffle BLT and omg it was sooooo good!!! And Nour our server was amazing!! Thank you Glasshouse Kitchen for another amazing meal & experience! 💖🥂
Has been on my list to visit this place. We were definitely not disappointed, came here for a birthday and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is great, will definitely be returning to check out the patio seating. They also had other little shops thru out the complex. Nice outdoor garden centre as well. Worth checking out and the food was delicious too. Servers were quick to our service!
Great atmosphere, beautiful natural lighting. Meals are fresh! Great views. I appreciate the selection of zero proof drinks. Wasn't able to get shaded patio seating this time. Next time!
Absolutely stunning restaurant nestled on a corner of the Enjoy Centre. I met my friend for lunch and reserved a table as we knew it may be busy. The dining area is surrounded by glass so you are able to see the lake and open area of St. Albert. Our server was attentive and friendly and our order was on point. Drinks were filled timely and food delicious. We both ordered from the brunch menu as it was available until 3pm. I ordered the fried chicken benedict with coffee and my friend ordered the omelet with chai. The fried chicken was crunchy and delicious and the egg was cooked perfectly! The omelet was huge and plentiful. We will definitely go back to try other dishes and wander around after.
Atmosphere is so nice, airy, plants and everything is extremely clean. Service was ok and the burger was good, portion of fries was really small and for the price I was disappointed. Thought it was just ours but didn't seem to be the case unfortunately.
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Service was actually very good given we were there during the Christmas Market. It was a busy time
I was extremely uncomfortable when I saw the manager and staff be so disrespectful and racist to a group of people wearing hijabs. Used to be one of my favorite spots but seeing this made me extremely uncomfortable. Do better glasshouse.
Incredibly rude and discriminatory staff. Made my friends and I feel very uncomfortable and we re micro aggressive towards us.
Didn t get a chance to try the food in the restaurant as the vibe was ruined by weird looks and treatment we received from certain staff - it seems staff members seem to require better training in professionalism because upon arrival we were greeted with sour faces which was confusing as those before and after us were greeted cheerfully. I am not one to be a Karen but it was just an odd experience and think there should be a baseline of respect given to all patrons despite personal feelings or whatever the case may be.
Really beautiful location. Food was very very good! Service was good too.
Absolutely delicious and service was wonderful. Thank you Glasshouse!
Honestly this place is kind of over rated. The food was typical of the average diner and a bit over priced. The service was minimally attentive and on the colder side of friendly. One thing I ll say in its favour is that it is a beautiful atmosphere.
Our server couldnt have cared less about us. The atmosphere is very cold and industrial with no appealing view out the window. And I resorted to my third choice on the menu because my first and second choices were not available. I wouldnt go back.
Ive been here once before for breakfast and the mushroom eggs benny was so good! I returned again excited to have breakfast on a Sunday morning so i could shop in the greenhouse after and they were weirdly closed? Said only the cafe was open and the restaurant was closed that day but didnt give us a reason. Sucked that i drove 45 minutes to St. Alberta just to not get served. I had a friend visiting recently and we were considering to go to the glasshouse for brunch but ultimately decided not to go as it seemed too much of a risk. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere is really the selling point. I hope to come back and enjoy a brunch mimosa.
My husband and I love Glasshouse, the food, the atmosphere and staff are all so friendly. Nora was the sweetest, and remembers us everytime.
Absolutely PHENOMENAL food, however the waitresses enjoyed to stand and complain about customers most our time at brunch. No utensils, napkins or high chair offer for our 11 month old kid with our food in front of us. Again, food itself was absolutely phenomenal we had the salmon Benedict and fried chicken Benedict.
Atmosphere and food are very good however service left me with question- who trains the waitresses? Our waitress Olivia- did not make an effort to bring the food to each person but was reaching over me constantly. Same thing happened when she picked up the dishes. At the mark of 90 mins she just brought the bills - without asking if we were ready for it. Not very professional I have to say!
Had a really great experience at brunch here and the food was delicious, our server Olivia was super friendly and welcoming.
Main entrees and appies were very delicous. Very generous portions for main entrees however, $16 dollars for 6 wings is not as great. We do still have the wings on our minds so that does say a lot for the taste of the food. Cute atmosphere as well!
We enjoy going to the Glasshouse for brunch The food is yummy, and all the natural light and abundant seating is great. But be prepared for a long wait to order to receive your drinks food bill . Kid-friendliness: High chairs available. Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp and automatic doors to get into the building.
Amazing food and atmosphere, Nour was very lovely and professional
I had great experience thanks to our waitress Noor
I only had water great place for a visit
The experience was and is always great here! Our server is Nour, and she was friendly and made great recommendations. Food is delicious. This place is a favourite of mine :)
Beautiful place! Really cool concept. Loved that they had a live singer while we enjoyed dinner over the sunset. Highly recommend! Vegetarian options: Good options for vegetarians. Parking: A little bit of a walk to the door.
Wow.....what a great place....Loved it!!!
Great place for brunch and drinks
Everything we needed from a wedding venue.
Great place for brunch. Eating in the green house makes it feel like eating outside. I had the mushroom eggs Benedict. Top notch. This would be a great place for a breakfast date.
We were so glad we had reserved a table as it gets very busy for brunch on weekend. Had to wait a long time for our food, but definitely worth the wait. Our server, Olivia made sure we were all happy and checked in with us regularly.
Always a great experience every time at the Glasshouse <3 From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the attention to detail and service was great. Our amazing server, Nour couldn t have been more helpful, her exceptional service was definitely top notch from start to finish! :)
Amazing friendly service. Our server, Nour was very helpful with the menu choices The food was very tasty. This bistro is part of our yearly visit to Edmonton from White Rock, BC Food
Visiting from Abbotsford B.C and came here because this restaurant was recommended. SO HAPPY I tried it. My server Nour was very attentive and since Im in the industry I know great service when I see it! Bonus... my meal was also excellent, will recommend this establishment myself.
Just wanted to share my experience with you all My sisters and I went for lunch and had a fabulous lunch, the service that we received from Nour was very good. We had a few questions and she was very helpful, from letting my sister taste your specialty beer, and other suggestions for food was great. We had great food and great drinks and a fabulous time
Nour was absolutely helpful, kind and had really exceptional customer service. She was really really professional as well, Thank you for your kind service. We will definitely be back for a lunch or dinner.
My husband and I had a beautiful brunch today at the Glasshouse. Our server Jordyn was amazing and very helpful, the food was delectable! What a calm and serene restaurant, perfect for a Sunday morning after a long week!
Amazing brunch spend on my birthday at this place. I m delighted that I had a very warm and homely experience and wasnt disappointed at all. We have moved recently to this area on st albert and this place overlooks our balcony and wanted to go there for sometime now. My wife booked a table on my birthday. Now coming to drinks we ordered cocktails tequila based for me and mocktails for my wife both were amazing in taste. Food was perfect wife had the crab bennies and waffle chicken burger and a salad. It was perfectly cooked, we didn t wait long, I was told that the hollandaise sauce has prosecco in it, tasted so good, has a hint of spice and acidity that complemented the crab, salad was so tasty and healthy too, as for the waffle burger, well let s say it was gone in minutes. Will be coming back for the more. Overall a wonderful experience with the ambience and food and would surely come back to check on more food and drinks options in future.
This spot is a very nice surprise. The venue is gorgeous and the staff are happy, engaged and on the ball. The food, oh my the food. For venue food this goes way above any expectations. Highly recommend.
Wonderful setting for our Dads 90th bday brunch. Great food, view and outstanding service. Nour Abdulla was fabulous. Thanks for everything
Awesome restaurant in spring, fall, and winter. No air conditioning when we went last week. Blazing hot inside.
Food was close to being great. The eggs Benedict just fell short in my books
Food and atmosphere was great! Olivia was excellent
Went there for brunch on Sunday, while the service was exceptionally great, I was really disappointed with the food, I got the smoked salmon Benny and others on our table got omelets, bread baskets and mushroom Benny, The bread basket of course was not nearly as fresh as I expected, but I wanted to talk about the Benny, the ho Hollandaise sauce was a lot better than what you get at almost any other place, however the eggs were cooked to hard yolk which is not at all typical for poached eggs. The salmon was bland and the English muffins underneath was old and stale. And the omelet was not any better, bland and over cooked, For the price you end up paying, it definitely was a let down. The atmosphere in the place is quite nice, other than the sun in your face even when sitting inside which would be expected from a place called the GlassHouse. Will I go back? Definitely not, will I recommend the place, I mean, if over cooked eggs don t bother you, worth a try once.
We had a great meal!! Our server, Nour, was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive! We had jalapeño chicken wings, peach sangria and smash burgers. All DELICIOUS. 5/5!!
Such a good experience. Loved all the staff there especially nour who made us feel like family. Food was fantastic as was the view from the patio.
Food was good and Nour was amazing server will be back again
We had the best meal. Food is so tasty. Our server, Nour, was an absolute dream.
Amazing service by lovely Nour!
I came for brunch and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is amazing. Food was delicious with and outstanding presentation. Would highly recommend
I came for brunch and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is amazing. Food was delicious with and outstanding presentation. Would highly recommend
Found this gem on TikTok-was amazing! Olivia our server was so helpful and knowledgeable! Her suggestions did not disappoint Food
I made a reservation unfortunately, I had asked if it could be moved which they gladly accommodated. As we make it inside, the staff were all nice and very welcoming. The menu varied on time of the day and of the week. We had a Saturday brunch in which we ordered their salmon and chicken benedict. Our waitress Nour made sure our brunch was to our liking. The place atmosphere alone made it pleasant but with staff being impeccable it made our visit memorable. Although the chicken and cubed potatoes were a tad bit dry, the salmon was delightful. The scenery alone is worth visiting for. Would highly recommend to try if you re ever near St.Albert
Great food in a beautiful setting. Our server Nour was lovely.
Food was good. Service was a bit ragged. We were not in a big hurry so they left us alone but left us too long. It took forever for the bills to arrive and the machine would not let us add a tip.
Really beautiful place for a wedding. Maybe a bit too hot in summer without aircon but still worth while
This is the THIRD time I have been turned away for lunch at this restaurant, and it s getting pretty old . The food is great ! The consideration and care for their patrons However is SERIOUSLY lacking . I have lived in St. Albert for five years, and without exaggeration I have managed to get into that place three times in five years. Every time I go, I m told it s booked for a private function. There needs to be a change in policy , procedure or management. I realize there is likely much more money in constantly booking private events, however, if they are going to advertise that they have availability to the public, they should provide availability to the public or just make it a private event venue. Thier greed at the expense of other patrons is more than obvious . Incredibly rude, seriously tacky. And I ll be sure to tell all my friends.
Beautiful place with glass all around and we stayed at the patio which is even more comfortable
Service was quite slow the day we were there. It took 30 mins just to receive our drinks and we had to follow up with our server. The food was quite good and flavorful. Food
Let me begin with this. I booked a reservation online. And when you explicitly ask what we are celebrating on your online reservation form and when we share something as personal as that even more so when we did not have any intention of mentioning that, one would think you would in the least bit get a superficial acknowledgment of our wedding anniversary. There was no mention of it at all. And this is inexcusable. If you do not intend to acknowledge special days that people celebrate, do not even ask about it on your online reservation form. Next year, we are going back to Red Lobster where we received a fabulous experience and the food was top notch compared to what Glasshouse serves. I find this rather appalling especially when you give us a tip guide at the bottom of your receipt indicating your obligatory 18% which is the minimum upto a maximum of 25%! Now, one would imagine being the recipient of an extraordinary service with a personal touch other than the customary, is everything good? Or, is your food ok? which we receive at far less fancier restaurants. But everything to the contrary. Besides, I found the food ordinary at best and unreasonably expensive. And we left famished and drove to Wendys to continue to celebrate our anniversary after paying an exorbitant price of $70 in total for Arugula leaves, baby tomatoes, few slices of cucumber, and about 6 very tiny pieces of beef that had little to no flavor and the other bowl that my wife ate was pretty much the same thing but chicken. This may seem like a scathing review but when you implicitly demand a minimum of 18% tip under tip guide then you do all you can to earn it. My rating of a 2 is me being charitable here. Finally, appreciate the fact people are willing to spend their time and money to celebrate their special days even during times of inflation. We took a day off to do this and we walked away with a sour taste. We are not coming back and we are not recommending this place to anybody with good sense either. And please do not take it out on the employee there as she is simply a reflection of the philosophy behind, 18%-25% tip guide!
Overrated and pricey. My fault for booking lunch there during a heat wave. The place was so hot it was unbearable to sit . Service was slow and non responsive but because it had a group of 6, there was an automatic 20% surcharge tacked on the bill right off the bat. Nice place to visit but never again for me.
Saw this place from the street and thought it looked cool, but holy hell its hot AF inside. I dont know why i thought that a greenhouse would have AC but it didnt. I cant imagine this place would be very warm in winter either. Nice concept, just not practical
No a/c. Super hot and uncomfortable inside. Food was decent but Service wasn t great. I m allergic to eggs so the brunch menu was extremely limited for me. They refused to make me something from the lunch menu (Sundays are brunch only) and they didn t really try to accommodate the allergy so I had a croissant
I was so excited to try The Glass House but was left disappointed. I was seated in the café side as the restaurant was busy, and I didn t mind since the aesthetics of this place are amazing, so any spot here would do just fine. I was seated, and the lady brought my water but unfortunately did not return. I waited a good 15 minutes and decided to leave
A friend of mine recently had a large party booking at the Glasshouse and to say that it was a disappointment is an understatement. We did have a rather large group of 30 people, to which we were told that we would be charged a $700 rental fee to use the space because they would be unable to flip our tables. Upon arrival, I noticed not even half of the restaurant was full, so how they figured they would need to charge us to make up for a non existent flip is beyond me. We were seated right by the front entrance of the restaurant off to the side, where all other guests were trickling in. I guess $700 doesnt get you a private space. You would think with a fee this steep, the service and accommodation would be out of this world. Working with the event coordinator was like pulling teeth. We were constantly reaching out to her, with very little initiative or follow-up on her end. Everything from the decorations to the set up time was met with No, we cant do that, instead of actually trying to help us coordinate and find solutions. I had to call the restaurant myself to coordinate with the FOH Manager to ask her to come in early so that we could set up before guests arrived. I dont know if she is lazy, or if the duties of what an Event Planner actually does are unclear, but I am in utter shock at the lack of professionalism on Elizabeths part in making this event take off. I am giving 3 stars for the day itself, as the service staff was friendly and helpful and the room is very nice. Food is mediocre at best. We were asked multiple times to change our menu, to accommodate the kitchen. Which, coupled with everything else feels like we were working for them to set this event off and not vice versa. We were also charged a cake cutting fee, which was said to be a 10% fee of the cost to which we paid for our cake... which makes no sense, because how is this any of their business? I understand a flat rate fee, but this was quite odd. When it came to the day, we had to cut it ourselves. I am so sick of places with nice rooms, bad food and even worse service, getting by because they scam their guests out of every penny they have. Last time I will ever be going there and I urge anyone reading this to re-think booking a large event there. 0 value add.
It is funny that in Canada in the year 2024 you still find some places that do not respect other cultures and races. Such a disappointment.
DISSAPOINTING. Went for a fun brunch and left dissapointed, angry AND hungry... There was no server checking up on us despite the fact the food did not come out for almost 35 minutes. What was truly infuriating was not that the food took long, but the rather the people who were seated after us were served complimentary snacks to wait for the food while NO ONE even asked about us. They took pretty long to bring out my drink because they mixed up and sent it to the wrong table. Left without our food even arriving. NEVER COMING AGAIN!!
Weve been here 3 times within the last couple months and the food is consistently, just ok. However ,the drinks, atmosphere and view particularly during sunset is beautiful.
Amazing experience, would recommend you make a reservation to avoid waiting. Food was amazing, fresh and large quantities. Highly recommend this venue!
Great place to take out of town guests for lunch with a great atmosphere away from the usual eateries. Food is always amazing and staff are just top notch!
Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Service was okay. Eggs benny was good.
Very disappointed. My Maid of Honour booked a table for us here for my Bridal Shower and Glasshouse Bistro called us the day before to cancel. The only reasoning they offered was that the whole restaurant got booked for a private event. While we can understand these things happen, they usually happen with an appropriate amount of notice. Very disappointed to say the least. I was looking forward to this experience and its unfortunate that it was cancelled on such short notice... Our booking was made atleast a month ago. MoH got the call this afternoon (07.06.24) and the booking was for tomorrow afternoon (08.06.24). UPDATE: The private event was a wedding so they definitely knew well in advance that there was a conflict in the booking!
Irene & I dine at the Glasshouse often. Of course the atmosphere is exceptional and on the days we decide to dine here we always allow extra time to relax; its not a fast food restaurant and granted there are times when its been so busy the kitchen cant keep up, but weve yet to be disappointed by anything thats been served. Our favorite server is and has always been Nour, shes been with this Establishment for a number of years and has always treated us with respect and kindness. Her attention to making sure Glasshouse patrons are looked after, whether she is assigned to your table or not, is exceptional. Thank you Nour we appreciate you!
Just went to the greenhouse.
I had such a delightful experience at the glasshouse, the food and service was great. The employees were very attentive and caring, definitely will be returning. 5 star would recommend.
I was so excited to try this place from all the great things Ive heard but honestly Im not impressed and its doesnt take much to impress me, good food and service is all you really need. Although their food is okay its beyond expensive for what you get, the service is not great and they rush you to leave (why allow us to book a reservation close to the closing time if youre just going to rush us out?) Youre paying for the vibes of the place, thats all IMO
Brought my girlfriend to dine in last week, and we had a great experience. Our server, Nour, was attentive and offered suggestions for both food and drinks. We ll definitely be back! Food
What a wonderful place to have to go for lunch, we took some friends who were visiting from out of town and were completely blown away by the beautiful dining room. Nour was our server, she is fantastic, we can t wait to go again!
I have lunch regularly at the Glasshouse bistro with a dear friend. We particularly enjoy the great food and the service staff, especially Nour who even remembers our usual order! Thanks Glasshouse Bistro for maintaining your standards :)
Had my first lunch at the Glasshouse. It won t be my last. The atmosphere was great, food was really good and not over priced. Cassey was our server and she was excellent, she was really helpful with recommendations and was just really engaging and pleasant. Well done Cassey!
The place is really nice and welcoming! Nour was our waitress and she was absolutely great! Definitely would recommend going here.
Nour was an amazing server. She was vey patient and kind. Thanks Nour !
Service and food were amazing. Nour provided exceptional customer service.
Came here with a few friends, loved the food and atmosphere. Our waitress Nour was great!
Great atmosphere! Dined here a couple of weeks ago with a friend and the food was top notch! I also tried an excellent white pear sangria prepared by Tea! Would highly recommend.
Good place!
Beautiful place for a lovely brunch. Food was fantastic. Server made a point of ensuring every member of our party was aware that gratuity had been added due to the size of our party, which was very appreciated
I absolutely love the Enjoy center but this was my first time at the Glass House, the food was absolutley stunning and I am celiac so I appreciate the gluten free frier (not having to be forced to order a salad is huge). Nour was my server and she was so knowledgeable and helpful with every single question which made the whole experience super special :)
This restaurant has always been my favourite place. It s a lovely place, unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. I ordered a soup and it was so salty, I had to send it back. The waitress, was very kind and she apologized, and agreed. But, I was still charged for it. When I asked the waitress why I had to pay for it, and her reply was I have to charge you, because I brought the soup to you I was extremely disappointed. and paid for it.
This is a restaurant that you go for the view. I don t recommend the food or service. It is way overpriced and they promise a quality of cooking they do not deliver.
We came here during the week for brunch, not realizing its only served on the weekend. Ok, so we pivoted to their lunch menu, which was not very appealing. We ordered their flat bread, which was good, and their tuna tartar. The tartar was so salty that it was not edible, so we had it sent back. Our server recommended their ahi tuna salad, the salad came out looking very sad. The tuna itself was awful, not sure if its because of the way it was cooked or if it was cheap tuna but we couldnt eat it. The salad and the dressing was good. Our server was very nice, all the workers were super attentive, checking if our drinks needed to be filled and it is a lovely little spot but we wont be back. Id say this place by far has been our biggest disappointment.
This will be an out of the box review as my friend and I only managed to eat a little there, our mains took too long and we had to skedaddle for work. Ireland the hostess managed to seat us at the bar, gave us the heads up that the kitchen was at capacity for orders at the moment, and that food normally took some more time because of the everything from scratch approach they had. Nora looked after us amidst getting things ready for an upcoming wedding party, and looked honestly disappointed and put out when we needed to leave without our meals. She hustled a salad out that was delicious, and we scampered off. I would come back again, and just make sure we arrive with plenty of time to spare just in case, there is probably good reason this place was packed. Without their warmth and care, this would have likely been a 3 star, but they made it worth it and we still enjoyed ourselves.
Food is always great, but service is very slow. They dont have enough waiters. The kitchen is slow too. Be prepared to wait a long time for your food.
A group of 10 people booked a reservation ahead with plenty of notice for the restaurant. It took quite awhile for initial service and then we waited over a hour for our meals. After the poor service, we found a 20% tip had been added to each of our bills. With service so poor, 20% was not warranted yet we were not given a choice. I will not be returning.
Amazing Mother days Brunch Nour was an amazing server!!!! Food : 4/5
What a stunning place to wonder! It is a beautiful setting with plants and water fountains tinkling in the background. Things to browse and buy AND one of the best cinnamon buns youll ever eat. Cheers.
The food was delicious! And very good service. Also the vanilla ice coffee was very good! Food
Extremely disappointing all around. The server practically ignored us, we had to ask a ton of other staff to help us because she was impossible to find, and when we did ask our server for things, it took 15 minutes for her to return with them - including napkins for our two year old. I used to be a server myself so I understand how hard it can be, but I was extremely disappointed in the service here. Also absurd prices for what you get. $11 for a grilled cheese? No thanks. Will not return Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all
A bit expensive but very nice atmosphere
I brought my mother here for an early Mothers Day lunch. The restaurant itself is beautiful. However, that is the only good thing Ill say. We were served by a waitress who gave us curt details of the lunch daily special. We received our beverages in about 15 minutes. We then placed our lunch order, along with a coffee order. It took 50 minutes to get our coffee, and then we were brought two (we had only asked for one). So at this point (50 minutes since placing order), no one has checked on our table, no one to say your food will be out soon., sorry you food is delayed.... No manager to check on our table. We notice the restaurant is about 1/3 full....other tables are being seated and served. Were waiting. Another 15 minutes goes by, finally our food arrives. The person who brought food to table and waitress (we finally saw her) seemed to be arguing, as our food was put on table. The food was mediocre. We asked for a takeout box, and our waitress literally cast it on the table as she walked by. Never asked how the meal was, or comment. When she brought the bill, she waited for payment, and we were still finishing our beverages. Why rush us now? I am very disappointed with the service, and my Mom was too. Happy Mothers Day, Mom! What I expected : was a very nice Mothers Day lunch with my Mom, in a nice setting. What we both got : was disappointment. What I got: embarrassment. Such a beautiful restaurant should have higher standards of service, particularly for the price we paid.
Very cool place great service food made from scratch so be patience on the food time, its worth the wait the atmosphere is amazing great views and staff is friendly.
Nour was an amazing server! The music was perfect not a bad tune
Our waitress Nour was fantastic. Outstanding service!
The waitress Nour we had was very generous, though our food took a little while as it was very busy, she gave us a free drink as well as dessert. Very welcoming, overall great review.
Love this place but our last experience was quite bad. Food was delicious as always and the atmosphere is gorgeous but the service was atrocious. We waited 40 minutes before anyone spoke to us or got us drinks, when our food was brought out we had no cutlery and when we asked for some it took another 5 minutes or so as our food was sitting in front of us. My boyfriend ended up grabbing his own hot sauce and salt and pepper because they were not grabbing them for us after asking. When our bills were brought out, there was a 20% auto gratuity included after some of the worst service I ve experienced. Might be a while till I come back here which is unfortunate as it was one of my favourite spots in the city.
Nour was amazing!
Food was great and our server Nour was lovely, great service.
Nour, thank you for a delightful experience! It was our first time and we loved the food as well
Good atmosphere and great service by Cassidy! Coffee is very good Food
cassidy was an awesome server! super nice!
Lovely and beautiful.
First time at Glasshouse and will definitely be back!! Ample sunlight, great decor, making Glasshouse an instagram-worthy brunch!!!! We were celebrating a birthday and received a surprise little dessert! All the staff were friendly, professional, and had great attention to detail!!! Vegetarian options: Mushroom truffle Benedict, huevos rancheros, avocado toast
Our server Emily is nice, and the atmosphere is amazing and full of natural sunlight and happiness. Vegetarian options: A lot of option
Good atmosphere but food is not spectacular
Long time customers that will not be back. Recommend reservations but when you arrive at opening the entire day is closed to walk ins - no notice anywhere of this and waited 20 minutes to be told this information.
Nour was a fantastic server and was very friendly. I would recommend Glasshouse to friends.
The abundance of green plants and bright space makes for an amazing airy atmosphere. The staff are super friendly! Our waiter went over and above to offer my daughters a special dessert that wasn t on the menu. Great quiet place to enjoy a small meal or an afternoon cocktail! We will return!
Stopped by for brunch, Nour was an absolute gem, so sweet and caring. food came out quickly and our drinks were never empty! thank you Nour.
Shockingly slow for beverage and food service Waited over an hour for brunch, 4 dishes. Coffees took 20 minutes It is a nice place but we waited too long for mediocre service. Hopefully this place can shape up because it has great potential.
Extremely poor service from male waiter, we arrived at 1230, coffee has not shown up and it is 1250. This place has always been great service and friendly staff. We had our grandma and parents with us and the waiter paid zero attention to us. When we asked to be seated in a better location due to the sun being in our eyes the waiter again denied us, he did not even care or say sorry.
The food was pretty decent, a little over priced for what it is but tasted good. The service was awful. Had a reservation for brunch and our food didnt come out for 1 hour and 15 minutes. We didnt get our coffees for 45 minutes. We barely got water refills. While the waitress was kind she wasnt present often (maybe went on break?) and no one else followed up. People that came after us got their food before us (a few tables). Ive been before and had better service so this was disappointing.
Nour took great care of our group of 5. Terrifically friendly and helpful!!!!
Service was top drawer atmosphere really good. Food was just ok and over priced
Had brunch with friends food excellent service great atmosphere perfect
Don t go here. Terrible service. High staff turn over.
Excellent place for brunch. Loved the atmosphere and excellent service by our server Nour, thank you! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options
We book brunch for my daughter s First Communion and had quite a large reservation. I worked with the event team and the floral studio and they helped make all of the details perfect. When we arrived, the table was beautifully set up. I was so impressed with are quality of the food and our server Nour was amazing. She was so friendly, got every correct, made sure everything was on time, went above and beyond to make sure we all had what we needed. She was so kind to all the kids that were in our party. I can t say enough how wonderful our experience this special day was.
Sara heated my sandwich
We stopped in for the happy hour (the menu was limited to a couple fry options, hummus, and chicken wings) and we opted to try the truffle fries and jalapeno honey chicken wings, and had a couple of mimosas and a sangria. The drinks were delicious, and the food was just as good. We will be back to try the brunch for sure, and probably the dinner menu as well!
The blue lavender latte at the cafe is perfect! Our server, Cindy, provided outstanding service. The setting is open, airy and beautiful. Highly recommended!
Beautiful place. Havnt got to eat there but I met the manager who seemed amazing and it most def was a popular place.
Really nice place to eat. Eggs Benedict was fabulous
We enjoyed our lunch at the Glasshouse very much. Bright, open surroundings with lovely views. Our thanks to Nour for the attentive service.
Reconnecting with a friend after 30 years, she chose Glasshouse. We had such a lovely visit. the atmosphere was perfect. The food was perfect. Our server, Nour, was perfect - she let us stay to keep visiting and was exceptional. It was perfect in very single way. Thank you for a great experience!!
Food was good but service was slow. I also wish they would identify allergens in their menu. Dietary restrictions: Menu does not identify allergens. Always be sure to ask server.
Excellent food and wonderful ambiance. Our server Dahliah was attentive but not intrusive. We had a wonderful dinner with me mom
I got a salted Caramel Latte today while I was in the building and it was amazing. Emily was extremely polite and welcoming too.
The latte tasted great and the ambiance was peaceful. However, my experience was spoiled by witnessing the owners disrespectful behaviour towards the barista.
Nour, Jess, Shelby, Johanna and Danny were the staff I met while I was at the Glasshouse and they were absolutely amazing company. I ended up staying for hours just chatting, enjoying their awesome truffle fries and cocktails. I ll definitely be back new favourite spot.
Shaira served her salted caramel latte and it was the best thing I ve ever had! I absolutely adore the service and atmosphere here, must try!
shaira is the nicest barista! excellent customer service, food and drinks! i especially loved the salted caramel latte :)
Trinity did the absolute best job taking care of us tonight!! She was such a sweetheart and recommended the best drinks. 100% recommend!!
Trinity was such a good server. She was so friendly and took care of us really well.
If youre looking to take your partner for the worst birthday brunch date possible, this is the place for you! TL;DR: - Over 20 minutes before waitress even acknowledged our table - Waited an hour after ordering food and still no food. Ended up settling the bill for our drinks and leaving. Server came to our table 3 times over the span of this hour and 20 minutes. The 3rd time was when I called her over so we can settle up to leave. - I understand being short staffed or busy but your management needs to learn to limit tables and at bare minimum COMMUNICATE with your customers. We arrive for our reservation. All seems good. We get seated, place has a cool vibe. We sit there for 20 minutes. The only person whos come to the table was the busser who brought us water. We watched several servers walk past our table, not even eye contact. Finally the server comes to our table. Again, 20 minutes at this point, how do you as a server not AT LEAST acknowledge the table and say youll be right there. We order our drinks and food at the same time. One drink comes fairly quick, good news. But then 15 minutes later the moca comes out? Finished our drinks and continued to wait... Nothing. No one checked in on the table. No one to say your food is delayed or your food will be out soon or can I get you anything else while you wait. Literally radio slience. Were starving. After an hour from when we ordered, decided it was enough. Flagged the server over and asked if we could settle up for the drinks. Her response: Oh Im sorry and walks away. Comes back to say they took the drinks off and we dont have to pay. Mentioned that they are short staffed. Sure, bare minimum. No manager to comment on anything. No way of seeing how they could do better. Just took it on the chin. Ive worked in restaurants for over a decade. Have done hundreds of busy brunches. Ive been to hundreds of restaurants throughout North America and Europe. I have never seen an establishment drop the ball this hard before. To make it worse, by the time we left, it was too late to go anywhere else for brunch. Happy Birthday. P.S. If the owner is reading this, I strongly advise finding a good manager or training the one you have. Simple fixes, a lot of low hanging fruit that could quickly improve your restaurant. Starting with regulating your number of guests based on staffing and training your servers to communicate effectively.
Great food and drinks, atmosphere is great and everytime we have been there the service has been outstanding. Add in some love music on Friday nights and its a great spot to grab a nice dinner. Kids menu and drinks are really cool, you can tell they have put some attention to the unique drinks.
Breathtaking views with such a beautiful ambiance. The food and cocktails were decadent with each bite or sip. As for Trinity, young lady the service you rendered was absolutely amazing. You kept us well fed, drinks topped up and you were absolutely attentive and accommodating. Thank you Trinity for making sure our evening was such a success.
Nour is the best waitress we have ever met, great service, attention to detail, friendly and compassionate thank you for elevating our dinner experience.
We had Nour as our server, she is always so kind and delivers great service. We loving coming here for both the food and atmosphere.
Great service(Shelby is awesome), great food and a great atmosphere. I m not surprised it s getting so busy now.
To the cafe owner lady: Please relax, youre stressing me out. Friendly enough it seems, but definitely runs bothering customers enforcing picky rules more than necessary. Will change my review once she takes the edge off. To the staff and Salisbury:
Had delicious brunch with a friend, but it took over an hour for us to get our food. We recognized it was a busy day, but it was still a very long wait. I was surprised as people were still readily receiving food after their posted closing time (3PM).
Beautiful atmosphere & delicious brunch. Can t wait to come back.
Fantastic food. Fantastic view from the beautiful windows. Nour was patient and delicate; even made sure my salad was perfectly customized to my taste. Beer on tap was amazing. Dietary restrictions: Low carb
Amazing service. Thank you Trinity for an awesome brunch.
I love this place its Amazing, the food was delicious and our server Trinity was so kind and professional
We came with family for lunch and had the chicken club sandwich ,was so good ,santafe salad was awesome.Nour was amazing , and gave us excellent service! We will definitely be coming back again!
Love this place Nour you such a wonder person, I love when your on service Food
The menu is priced way too high for what you get. Eggs Benedict had old crispy bacon on biscuits that were hard as a rock. When we brought it up to the manager she replied I don t really like our new biscuits they are kind of like eating hockey pucks if you know they are bad why are you serving them? They offered a dessert for us to share to make up for it. While I appreciate the gesture it was not great and I am just not sure that they really care. The room is very pretty though.
Not a great experience. Service was extremely slow. Water was cloudy. Food took long. Hashbrowns were rock solid. Worst Benny Ive ever had. Muffin was rock solid, the bacon shattered it was beyond well done. My egg was cooked soft, but the entire plate came out cold.
Been here a few times, and Shaira never disappoints me with her coffee and her fantastic service. She s definitely my favourite at Glasshouse. Her salted caramel is excellent and honestly top-notch! Plus, all the staff there are always amazing and super friendly
We went for Sunday Brunch to celebrate mine and my grandmas birthdays. We had a reservation and were sat at a dirty table. The host grabbed a cloth and said they would be right back, no apology or anything it just felt weird. The food was good. My mom asked the server for a side of dip, the server never came back with the dip... I get mistakes happen and it was busy. I would try this again for dinner and see if service is better on a less busy day.
The Sunday brunch menu is great. Many choices and reasonable price for the quality of food. Food was delicious with zero complaints. We read numerous reviews about bad service at this place but we did not experience that. Our service was fast and efficient. Within 8 minutes of sitting down, we received our coffee s and other beverages. Food arrived within a reasonable time after ordering. We are looking forward to returning.
Had a fantastic dinner on Friday. Live music, service, food were all exceptional!
*Really bad portions for the price* Really enjoyed the place and food just wish the portions were better for the price The first time I ate here I got 8 wings for $18 The second time I ate here I got 6 wings for $18 So I don t know what their cooks are doing with their portions but I was very disappointed in that especially because the food was we so good
We might have overlooked the lipstick on the coffee mug, the dirty floor, the hour and a half wait for food, but what we can t forgive is the new owner s refusal to honour a gift card purchased from the previous owners of the same restaurant. Very poor client appreciation and service. Go back? Nah- we will go to one of the many other restaurants in St Albert with true class.
The Glasshouse held so much potential for a great birthday celebration with life long dear friends. The aesthetics of the structure, the ambience and the food were all worthy of admiration. The waitress was new but very bubbly and engaged with our party. Unfortunately the magic dissipated when the restaurant would not honor a $200.00 gift card that was purchased for Glasshouse Restaurant but now four years later, has new owners. The gift card could not be processed with their payment system. The restaurant still bears the name Glasshouse and my understanding of the law stipulates that no gift card can expire. I also understand that when a business is bought the new owner also purchases the goodwill of the previous owners . The current owner was not to be convinced with any of our rationale and ended the conversation abruptly when she felt threatened by our action of a poor review. It s unfortunate when ego dominates over better business practices. Disheartened. Vivian
Charming location with many food options to choose from . Trinity took very good care of me and my girls. Very hospitable service . Can t wait to come during the summer !
Service was amazing had a great time thanks to Oriah
Amazing food and service! Had the brunch Santa Fe Chicken Bowl and it was so tasty. Server Dehliah was super friendly and recommended this dish to me and my friend. Will come back!
I love going to the Glasshouse Restaurant! The brunch was amazing and our server, Noor, was so friendly and helpful when it came to our table s dietary restrictions.
Jessi provided top notch service. Really went above and beyond for my dad for his birthday which I really appreciate. All the food was terrific, love coming here!
Maybe Management needs to fix a few problems with service. Update: Second visit. I had reservations for a Saturday that I wanted to change, but they couldnt find my reservation even though I had an email confirmation. So they did rebook my reservation. I had the same waitress as my first visit. So I expected to have the same service, but I had to get up and go to the coffee bar and ask for a drink where she was hanging out. Our waitress came by maybe 3x in an 1 1/2 hrs. We planned on having dessert, but it took so long for our meals and drinks that we changed our minds. I also had to ask another waitress for our bills because I rarely saw our waitress. The food was better tasting than during the day. First visit: Service was amazing, but the thai steak salad lacked any flavor. My appetizer came out after my meal, and the tiger prawns were dried out. But they did apologize and took the prwns off my bill. The Espresso martini was delicious! I will be returning to try the dinner menu.
Wonderful evening with great food (highly recommend salmon & risotto) entertainment and a sweetheart of a server, thanks Dahliah!
Cant give enough stars. The ambience, the live music on a Friday. Thats the appy. Yummy wine and a striploin for $38.... All a perfect recipe, the perfect storm however.... A not Johanna, a Johanna maybe, a Shelby but the star of the show was our server Jess. Ive never laughed so hard, Ive never had this kind of amazing comfort in sharing banter especially if it was directed towards my partner who totally deserved it ha ha. Jess youre jewel. You made our night and your team behind you was solid. Date night extravaganza. Much love. Rob and Robert.
Live music, relaxing ambience, delicious food (Santa Fe Chicken salad did not disappoint!) and server, Dahliah, made the experience exceptional. Thank you, Dahliah.
The server Nour was wonderful and a pleasure to deal with. She elevated the experience of being here, the food was amazing. Great place would recommend
First time at Glasshouse and it was a lovely experience. Nour did a wonderful job; will definitely be back again!
Stumbled across this place and will definitely be back. Great atmosphere and excellent food. Looking forward to our next visit.
Oriah made us delicious drinks taking into account all of our special requests. So lovely.
Best brunch in St Albert, our server Nour was amazing, very friendly and attentive. I recommend the mushroom truffle benedict!
Oh my god I m not a brunch type of guy but I licked my plate clean the Mushroom Truffle Eggs Benny was amazing. Seriously thinking about buying a table spot permanently for brunch now I have seen the brunch gods and my life has been changed forever. Our server Nour was super friendly and went out of her way to make a special pot of decafe coffee for my wife cause she s a wimp and doesn t like real coffee. Thank you will be back.
Every time I come here, my meal is a 10/10. And everyone I come here with loves their food as well. My favorite is the harvest bowl...its amazing!!
Amazing place to have great conversations
Nour our server was amazing, she made our second experience 100% better then our first experience, I would highly recommend to my friends and family to dine at this restaurant. Management was really good with accommodating us as after a not so good experience on Valentines Day. We will be coming back, both food and drinks were delicious!
Great food and service. Thank you Nour for a lovely experience at the glass house.
Nour was amazing!
First time here , loved the atmosphere, positive vibes . Food is good , prices are reasonable and service is good as well. Went for dinner , of course would go there again for a brunch and coffee
Dahliah our server was so fantastic! We loved our whole experience!
Without a doubt one of the best places for brunch near Edmonton! The vibe of the restaurant was bright, vibrant and inviting. Our server Nour was very friendly and catered to our needs well! The benedict had the Richest farm fresh egg ive had in the city and the Farm fresh sausage is a must order! Looking forward to coming back for the waffles! Special shoutout to the manager Michael for seating us last minute and pulling through! We really appreciate the positive experience and will be back!
Called to place a take out order. They said they do take out but wanted to check if they could do it today. Then said they could do takeout but I would have to come in to place the order. Not sure what the point of offering take out is then. I am having a conversation with you already why not just take the order?
Oriah was excellent! Give that girl a raise!
Wonderful staff, Oriah was so kind and helpful!
Today we decided to grab brunch and opted for the Fried Chicken Benny and the Breakfast Smash. Both dishes were pretty good! However, we were left a bit disappointed by the service, especially after reading rave reviews about it. Unfortunately, our experience didnt live up to the hype. It was a busy morning, and we understood our server might be stretched thin attending to multiple tables. However, after taking our order, she didnt check on us again until it was time for the bill. No inquiries about our meal, no refills on water, not even a simple request for extra napkins. We ended up eating without water for the entire meal. While we understand it was busy, a quick check-in would have been appreciated. When we finally received the bill, our server swiftly dropped off the payment device and disappeared. Adding insult to injury, the default tip percentage was set at 25%, which felt excessive given the service received. Overall, it could have been a great experience, especially with the pleasant atmosphere, but the service fell short of expectations. We hoped our server was just having an off day, but observing her interact more with other tables left us feeling neglected. Afterward, we headed to the cafe since we missed the chance to order there initially. Thankfully, the service there was much better. And to top it off, the butter pecan latte was absolutely delicious!
This is the best brunch in Edmonton, food and service was amazing. The salmon benny was supper delicious also the french toast.Nour was our server and she was very polite and friendly. We will definitely be back.
I had invited my family for Sunday brunch and we decided to visit Glasshouse. However, we waited for 15 minutes for our coffee to be served and 1 hour for our food.I usually dont follow up when I order food, but in this instance, nobody came to give us an update. When the coffee was served, they didnt even bother to give us milk, sugar, or a stirrer. When I went to the bar to get it myself, the other server was rude and even rolled her eyes at me. I am unsure if we will choose to return.
Tofu Bao was delicious. But service was exceptionally poor? I didn t expect this until I heard stories about others saying the service is always bad. My entree was brought out with the appetizers. The server apologized and asked if she wanted me to let it wait in the kitchen until everything else was done. Of course that would dry it out so I declined. The proper restaurant thing to do would to make another one that came out with the rest of the party s food. But instead everyone else s entree came out 45 minutes to an hour after my entree. We were a party of 7 so suprised with the low quality of customer service for the type of restaurant it is. The mandatory gratuity of course made it worse. Would be happy to chat with someone about the quality of service for feedback. looking at the other reviews, poor quality of service is the most common mention.
Such a gem in Edmonton! Great food with amazing atmosphere. Our server Nour was so kind and made sure to explain the menu to us so we really enjoyed what we ate. She was so kind and one of the best servers we ve ever met. Definitely recommend this place and very family friendly
We attended the Valentines dinner and had Jess as our server. She was fantastic and we were happy to have her (shes the reason for any stars given at all). Unfortunately, something was going on in the kitchen and we did not recieve our appetizer or entree in the two hours we waited. Other tables with different servers also appeared to have similar experiences. We ended up leave 2.5 hours after we sat down hungry and with a gift card.
Came in for the first time, the drinks were delicious and refreshing and the food was delicious. Shiann was absolutely lovely she was friendly and was an absolute gem if you have the chance come in and see her she will treat you wonderfully. All the girls at the front work really well together and overall make this place. 10/10 would recommend
Came in for a birthday and I ll be returning soon! Food was phenomenal, chicken burger was packed with flavour and steak was cooked to perfection. Our server was on top of all tables and never lost pace. Shiann served our beverages and they were the reason I recommended the place to some friends. Her hospitality was second to none and she came around very often to top up and take new orders with a great attitude and friendly smile. Live music was also a bonus. Really set the atmosphere. Highly recommend.
Vegetarian options: Very exciting salads with lots of different items in a bowl. so its not boring
