Swiss Chalet in St. Albert

Our visit was very good, food was excellent. The main reason for the poor rating on atmosphere was the access to the restaurant. Store provides parking for Uber, Skip the Dishes and there own drivers but blocked the entry to the place by parking in the driveway.when asked about it there response was write a review. So manager start looking out the window and see what your employees are doing. Parking: Lot was poorly cleaned and slippery, pickup drivers blocked the entrance when entering and leaving. Management not controlling outside

Speedy, yet fresh and tasty, all for a fair price. Dec 2024, still a great place to go for dinner. Festive dinner was the best! Food : 5/5

If you re ordering takeout, always check the order before you leave with it. They miss something in our order probably 90% of the time. Today it was the potatoes and gravy.

The meal seemed to have a variety of temperatures, none of them hot. If not for that, it would have been what I have come to expect from Swiss Chalet. Good wholesome food at a reasonable price.

chicken had no flavour, swiss chalet sauce tasted like it was watered down because no flavour, and there were tiny pieces of cartilage in the soup other locations are much better than this one

The meal was great but the Smirnoff speaker would not let me complete the form so therefore swiss chalet owes me a complimentary Smirnoff speaker. My wife tried as well to no avail.

Everything was fantastic. Great food, served hot and fresh, and served fast even though they were clearly quite busy. This restaurant is very well done. Thank you! Kid-friendliness: Colouring pages with crayons were provided. Kids also got a toy at the end of the meal.

My hubby and I were in the city and as we dont have Swiss chalet in our province. The food is amazing. The rolls are freshly made and the chicken and sauce is delicious. Well definitely come back.

Fastest place for lunch by far wont need to spend your whole lunch in a drive through. Good food, lots of fries plus the staff is great

Normally good, but going down hill. Ordered a double leg dinner and the 2 chicken portions were the size of a cornish game hen.

We ve been coming to this Swiss Chalet location for many years and I ve never been disappointed with the quality of food or hospitality. Our only criticism maybe that during the peak hours the atmosphere suffers because of the noise and bustle of people moving in and out. For the best experience try outside of peak hours.

Two quarter chicken dinners for twenty bucks with quick service. I think they have someone out watching for us to drive up they are so fast.

Good yummy food.

Got some sort of chicken sandwich, and it was literally bun, chicken, a little bit of sauce, bun. So I had to put my coleslaw on it to add at least some dimension but its usually good. Parking: Its usually pretty packed whenever we go so there not much parking, but theres still parking if you want to walk a little. Wheelchair accessibility: Its totally wheelchair accessible and relatively easy to navigate.

It would have been nice to know that my order was delivered. Sitting outside in the cold in January wasn t what I expected. They could have at least rang the doorbell. Don t think I will make that mistake again. If I could give a 0 I would. Now they add the tip without your consent . Never again

Ordered ribs tonight they use to be good however as were eating bone chips, gross, meat so dry what happened you charge a pretty penny for your food weve been customers for a very long time but we wont be back so disappointing Id like to edit this review my husband asked me to give you another chance he brought home ribs tonight they were moist no bone chips n potato was fresh I certainly hope this continues being as late as it was in the evening thank you Swiss chalet

Chicken Rib Combo, the chicken leg was so small it could have been of a pigeon, two bites that s it. The gravy dish I believe also shrink. The server was doing her best but had way too many tables to look after. Only had time to check once on us.

Sevice was good but food is soso. My 1/4 chicken dark meat was exactly 6 bites and fries were barely warm. They went back. They raised their prices a lot and food is now lacking. Chickens are tiny unless you get white meat but hey tack on an extra $2! Won t be back!

We came in late on a Friday afternoon as a large pre-booked group of cadets and staff. (37 people) despite the fact that we arrived close to an hour earlier than we said we would be there, the staff were very accommodating and quickly shifted gears to get our orders completed. The staff treated us wonderfully and the food was quite good. The restaurant is not as cozy as the old style Swiss Chalets used to be, however this is not a reflection of the staff whatsoever and is simply a corporate thing. Definitely will visit again for that delicious rotisserie chicken.

Was ok, not as good at the one in Sherwood Park Got our food fast and it was good but they kinda forgot about us after our food came. Management reached out and made it right. Sometimes companies have issues and its how they deal with them that makes it a great place. Hats off added another star and will be back

Worst food I had in long time ! The service was bad, the chicken was cooked I dont know when, cold, stale. Like it stay in the kitchen overnight and warm up the next day ! Shame ,waste of money ! The restaurant was empty, lunchtime on a Saturday, need to say more ?

It used to be really well prepared but the last couple times have been below par. I had chicken with 1/3 ribs and the ribs were overcooked and dry. Please get back to standard. Thanks

My chicken was quite well done, but my wifes was fine. Overall nothing special but a decent meal for the price.

We are seriously impressed! We picked up our family meal and when we opened it at home we found that the sauce was upside down, ruined everything and made a huge mess. So I called, and the Manger was so nice that he had an entire meal delivered to us under 20 mins. Most places would of said sorry, we will give you a credit next time you are in, which we would of forgot about. Its so hard to find good customer service these days and this manager showed what it should always be like. We ordered on Dec 23, 2022 at 8pm in case he sees this and finds out how much we appreciate his kindness. Thanks so much. Btw the food was delicious as always! Doug Lysyk and family

We ate here on January 3 between 12:30 and 2:20. The server was perfect, remembering our 6 orders. The food was ample and delicious. Great place for a family meet-up. Picture of white meat platter.

We have the best time in spending our day off from work. The server is fast, accurate, and easy to understand and got all our orders right.

St. Albert location is top over any SS I have gone to. There is just something good about that place Food is always awesome there and the fries are beyond good.

You cannot go wrong with Swiss Chalet. We had a comfortable booth, the staff were very cheerful and friendly, the washroom (mens) very clean and the food excellent. Notice I put the clean washroom before the food. That is because you wait to eat but not wait long to go. I admire how serving staff can cheerfully put up with old grouches like me.

Chicken was a little dry, and the service was slow. Waited 6 minutes before someone came to talk to me after sitting down.

Amazing service by first our hostess who I believe he name was Evelyn & then our server Brenda. She was absolutely the best & you can never go wrong with the food! Dietary restrictions: Im celiac & Brenda made sure my dinner was GF!

Services is very good, this is a standard swiss chalet. However, the staff here will remember you very quickly and also remember your order, so as far as swiss chalets go, this is definitely a good place to go.

This is the best Swiss chalet! Everything is always cooked to perfection, Even the bun was perfect. I always loved Swiss Chalet growing up but all the other ones in Edmonton over cook everything. This one does it right! Five stars!! You guys rock!

This has to be the best Swiss Chalet location in the Edmonton area. Friendly and attentive staff, hot and tasty food, clean and welcoming setting. What more could you want from one particular location of a national chain? If you have a craving for chicken or ribs (or chicken AND ribs) this is the Swiss Chalet to go to. Its also the only Swiss Chalet Ive ever been to (from ottawa to vancouver) that has good french fries, so thats a bonus.

New years eve we decided to order from St Albert Swiss Chalet and were very disappointed. Chicken was good as per normal but ribs were extremely tough and stuck to bones, fries were all short end pieces and at least 1/4 of them burnt to a crisp

Consistently GOOD! We haven t been to the St. Albert Swiss Chalet in years. Before Xmas we took our neighbour for dinner and we all enjoyed the chicken dinner which included a glass of wine and the small box of Lindor Chocolates for dessert. At that dinner they gave us a $10 coupons to use after Xmas, towards any dinner over $40. Last week ( Feb 2) we went with our friends and this time had the new special, which included soup or salad and a piece of pie for dessert. Everything was delicious, of course too much food so we took home chicken and our pieces of pie. We had the most pleasant waitress ( Wendy), making our experience even better. Thank you Wendy!!

Swiss chalet - You know what youre getting here. Its fast-food dine-in. Nothing fancy This location is always a dependable choice for chalet. The food for the chalet is almost always hot and fast. The staff here is friendly.

Good - Jessica and how she explained that the kitchen was really busy; customer service; nice time spent with my family. Bad - Our food was cold; the bathrooms were dirty and didnt have paper towels; my dish came out 5 mins before my familys. This experience was weird because Ive been going here for years and Ive never experienced any issues with the restaurant.

Service could be better but the food is consistent. Happy to say things have improved significantly. It was very busy when I visited again and yet the customer service experience was fantastic. Keep it up!

The exterior could use an overhaul. Besides that, the food is quite tasty for a relatively affordable price. The portions are large and the service is quick.

Our waitress was amazing, she remembered all everything 8 people ordered with out writing it down. Big portion, good taste.

The staff were all congenial and easy about Covid restraints. The server was friendly and the food was there very quickly. Good food, cooked well and very tasty. This was our second visit.will return. At our return, the Covid restraints are gone and staff just as friendly as before Our meal was hot and served in one minute after sitting. This place is wonderful!

This place has the best staff. They are very friendly and helpful, and genuinely excited about services rendered. Much better than any we have visited in Edmonton, and the food was wonderful. If you enjoy roasted chicken, they now have delicious roast beef added to the menu. Ill be trying that next time for dinner.

The food was ok....very small portions at outrageous prices....1/2 of a very small chicken was $22 and a full rack of again small ribs length ways cut in half...about 12 ribettes was $42...omg Im stupid for paying that but i promised the family.... it did come with soggy fries we put into the air fryer to crisp up but it sort of dehydrated them...and the bun was stale....it didnt even come with a drink... NEVER AGAIN.... do yourselves a favor....get a huge amount of fresh full size ribs 2 racks x 24 ribs from costco $26.00 and take the time to cook them yourselves.... and a whole bbq chicken for $8.99... UPDATE...yes the snall portioned food was very tastey....and the staff were awesome, kind, and nice to me...she even apologized for the prices....thats not the issue.. the issue is the pricing... i understand that all restaurants had to increase their prices but this is ridiculous... anyway the survey you mentioned did not come with a link... thanks for replying though... it means you care...:)

Yes they have a great food, we always come here to eat but this last time that we eat, the Ribs that I ordered which is the one I always Order was way too small than what they have before or what they gave me before. So disappointing not to get what you pay. $28.00 plus extra rice, well they have a good size of rice.

Have not been to this Swiss Chalet in maybe 5 years....it still looked the same!! Usually we dont eat out but this was for a friends 70th birthday and she likes this restaurant. It certainly was more expensive than I remembered. Several folks at our table said the stuffing came cold...my meal was ok. I found the spring rolls much better than the perogies...but that could be just a personal preference. The waitress was very good.

Always good food. No idea why they have a drivethru. I pre ordered my food and have been stuck in a packed line for food pickup. Probably be here for 30 minutes minimum while I ordered food 15 minutes prior.

My bf and I went to Swiss Chalet last night for supper. We ordered and it was pretty quick. We were hungry!!! After we were finished we chatted to our server and told her we were on a staycation and decided to treat ourselves as we work different shifts all the time. She was so nice and we enjoyed our conversation. At the end she brought our bill and a dessert for us to enjoy... on the house!! Every time we go we love the food, the service and the staff! Keep it up!! We ll come back again and again.

Dined in on a Friday night. They ran out of dark meat so brought me a white meat qtr chicken dinner without asking if it was ok with me. Food was hot, and fries were fresh.

Nothing I ate was good. My food tasted like it was heated in a microwave. A MICROWAVE! Im not here to eat quality food, I can eat microwaved food anytime I want while paying far less. Youre better off eating a tv dinner than coming here.

Waited over an hour...called store and was told my order was held. Informed it didnt get sent to right store.asked that my cc not get over charged and was told abruptly its just held so it wont be.no apology or anything waiting to see if it arrives. Ill use skip the dishes next time I guess.dissopinting.

Food is always consistently good, however customer service tonight was absolutely outstanding. We ordered delivery and there was an error in the orders being delivered. Not only did I receive a follow up phone call immediately on their end, they corrected the mis-delivery with the proper order asap, and went way above and beyond expectations to make sure we were satisfied. Best customer service Ive seen in awhile!

Some of the best food out there. Ribs fantastic Steak o.m.g. Baked potato great. Update October 16 2020....wow disgusting food what a change. Let me guess ....its covids fault. Ribs dry as a popcorn fart. Baked potato...not cooked. The most disappointing meal i have had there and will not be returning. No care in the preperation of their food whatsoever.

This place is garbage! Called to order a simple meal and got handed off 5 times and put on hold over an hour still won t answer their phone, no one there can answer a simple question about gift cards either, they are useless and will never order there again!!
