Wild Wing in St. Albert

One of those business that the owner expects you to give a TIP on a pick up order!! At least while waiting for the order she could have offered a cup of water for maybe getting a TIP. These people are not in restaurant business for the hospitality side of it but just to pocket profit and clearly the empty restaurant on a Saterday night proves it. My family have been in restaurant business for 40 years and we know its absurd to expect a TIP for a pickup order. If you are looking for extra money then rise the price in your menu so you can at least say thank you to your costomers with a smile for purchasing at your business and not be bothered for a small tip on a pickup order. And even servicing at the table TIP is not mendatory, the waitress have to win her TIP, it starts at 0 and it goes up along the dining experience. Responding to your costomers with a mean Yeah after i said thank you for the order at the end your customers wont return! I right away said to my brother lets never come back here again (at the St Albert location). St Albert is a small growing kind and beautiful community and with that kind of attitude trust me your business will not be part of its futur

Great atmosphere. Waitress was kind of pushy. Forgot my water and my wings. Caesar salad was gross. Food over all was substandard. Not going back. In fact, left the left overs on the table. Yuk.

If you are craving wings and only wings it s not a bad place to stop by as there s so many options for wings. But the burgers are absolutely disgusting, borderline inedible. Both my partner and I had wanted to try something different as we only usually get wings both of us had gotten the bacon cheese burger and fries. Both of us regretted the choice once we took a bite. My partner didn t even make it past the first bite. The patty didn t even taste like beef. Our server offered original 10% for his meal but after further discussion she comped his meal which we appreciated. Our drinks both tasted like nothing. Overall disappointed but I m sure we will come back when we are just craving some wings.

First time dining at Wild Wing. I had the ayce wings. My server Shaine was very attentive, whenever I wanted a refill of wings, she was there to deliver them. They were fantastic! Totally recommend this place.

First time was nice, second time made me not want to come back, just hoping the waiter for the second time was new at the job, few mistakes when we were the only ones in. water downed drinks, and over charged, never apologized for it and kept talking to her coworker, if we do come back we will leave if she s working there, clearly doesn t know how to make a popular easy drink, and can t keep track of what people ordered and we are the ONLY ones in. Not good for business, especially if you can t say sorry for a mistake in a empty restaurant where you re just talking to a coworker.

The food took an hr and 10 mins to come .. it was good food and the waitresses apologized for the long wait ... wasnt really busy so must have been all the skip the dishes orders .. would definitely get the food again would hate to see it busy there.. had the batterd mushrooms and the dill chicken sandwich with sweet potatoe fries... really tasty

This is a newer location. The food is a sloppy mess. Why is there an entire bottle of ranch dumped on top of nachos? Why was the burger as hard as a hockey puck and dry? I sent the burger back after two bites. The witness didn t take it off the bill. I wasn t the one the paying so I didn t catch it in time. You sell basic, easy to make pub food. It should be perfect everything time. Service is lacking. Drink glasses should never be empty, especially when your the only two people in the place. Had to ask for a box and the bill twice . I see why wild wings has the reputation it has. The food was so oft putting. Wont be back.

Went there with the kids. We can wings, calamari and a flat bread. The service was good. They brought everything we asked for. Well done. The calamari tasted a bit off to me. The wings were tasty but a little dry. All in all it was a good experience

First experience there was great but the place was dead not that it s busy terrible service to only have one waitress on a Friday night poor girl can t keep up when it s busy

First time going here and it was just the two of us eating. Service was awful and so unbelievably slow. Eventually the waitress started bringing out our food in parts and the order was wrong. Whole experience took over an hour and a half. I asked for the bill and the food to go before my main even arrived. Food was decent but I ate it at home. Won t be returning. You can find decent food anywhere and for half the price.

I work right beside this restaurant and have to say that whenever I stop in for a drink of some delicious hot wings the staff is always friendly and the food is top notch.

First time trying this place, Went with my husband and 2 kids. We came in when there were only 3 other tables in use so we expected faster service since it looks slow. However that is not what we got. It took 25mins to put our order in and another hr to get our food. Once our food arrived it was mostly cold and tasted like most things I could buy frozen at a grocery store and make at home. I personally liked the wings and the sauce (besides it being cold) but my husband did not.) Overall we won t be choosing to go back as it s not worth the cost for what it is.

Update Jan 2024 Sad to say this place is still as bad as it was the first time I tried. Actually kind of suprised they are still in business. Review from 2022 - I wish I had read all the reviews before going here. Just a litany of lousy service, slow food, watered down drinks and high prices. How this place scores an overall 4 beats the heck out of me. If they dont take the input seriously and get this turned around they will close like the one on 97 st did for the same problems. The chicken wings were actually very good. Naked wings, cooked crispy and still moist. The problem is they charge 19 dollars for 9 very small wings with no sides at all. Sides are extra. A glass of fountain pop, really watery, was 3.50. With those kind of prices i can see why this place was basically deserted at noon on Thursday Dec 1, 2022. Despite there only being one other customer, service was really lacking. Took the order, showed up when we were nearly done to ask how the food was. Minimum auto tip is 15 percent, fat chance. Half price wings on Tuesday is the only way I would ever go back.

More cheese in the poutine will be better.

Wings were great, especially on Tuesday when theyre half price. Ive been there twice and the server remembered us and our drink order nearly a month between visits.

Poor customer service.

The beer and pop were watered down. The prices for wings has gone up and there is apparently no sides when you order three types of wings to share. Also ordered boneless wings and the last wing had a bone in which my partner almost choked on. Serve was also very poor. The waitree was not attentive and there were only 2 other tables in the whole place filled up at this point.

Drinks were very watered down - my partner was drinking ginger ale, and her second drink was mainly water. The beer very much seemed watered down as well (or perhaps at the end of the keg.) The wings (all meat) were overcooked, and we were told that the triple wings didnt get subbed sides, which was not indicated anywhere in the menu. Service was nearly non-existent. Very sad, since we have had much better food and service at other locations in this chain. Will not be returning.

Went there with my wife to watch the Oilers and have some wings, food was fantastic and great service too, the owner was very friendly as well, we will definitely be back!!!!

The wings taste is beyond words. Those are delicious and juicy. I never had experienced such a taste before. The owner Krunal is an awesome person. I recommend everyone to visit wild wings in St Albert, the service and food quality is excellent.

I m so happy that another Wild Wing has opened on the north side of the city. Great food, the staff are fantastic, and they support our military by offering a military discount. Brown Eyed Girl is my favorite sauce, while my daughter loved the Mac & Cheese bites.

7th time eating here and NOW it seems they have found their groove. The lady who greeted us was very professional. Took our order and unlike last time where our salad was served with our hot meal, she served our salad before the meal, very much appreciate this! The phone was fantastic! I think they may have changed the cook, great choice! Thw server came to check on us, all good. Was prompt to see us when we were done. Prompt to provide the bill and take payment, again, not like last time. Also noticed they installed a second cash at the opposite end of the bar, badly needed for rush hour and smart to have done this. Very happy they have their priorities straightened out. We will be back for sure! 6th time eating here: Here this evening. New staff member and pretty slow, customer wise, unfortunately, when we wait to pay, our server (only 1 tonight) decides to focus on taking an order, which takes far longer than getting our bill. Another couple walks out because being there for at least 20 mins, sitting and waiting to be acknowledged, they decided to leave. Finally, we gave up waiting, we walk up to the bar and ask to pay, the manger / owner gets our bill so we can pay. The organization within this eatery is so disconnected, but the food is really good. We come for the great food. This is the 3rd time weve eaten here. They are still needing help with organization. They had 2 people serving plus the owner and cook. The dynamics of teamwork is still not evident. The food is delicious, hands down, BUT quite pricey for wings. Our meal, 2 x salads, a triple of wings and 2 drinks was $87 plus tip, was over $100.

For takeout it was Amazing! I had the dill pickle wings. I feel that wings with shaken flavor lack flavor. Hot and teriyaki wings were amazing. Food : 3/5

Was there for lunch with the wife, first time trying this place out. Food was amazing, a little overpriced but worth it! Server was very friendly and made our experience a good one. Will definitely be back.

The way management treats their staff, they should be written up for it. When your employees make an honest mistake they should not get charged for it (well it s actually illegal to charge your staff for food mistakes). When your employees make a tips they should be paid honestly! Never got the chance to go try the food and now because of bad management our family will not get to. Reply to management: instead of being dishonest about money being made. Charging employees for making mistakes is still illegal. Most places would fire an employee for dishonest information or making to many mistakes. As well, stop calling this employee for $9 that you think is owed to you for a mistake on a food order.

On a strictly wing review they were terrible. Should be called wild drumstick didn t get one wing in all 4 orders. Service was good wings sucked. All the drumsticks were basically gristle and fat with some breading on them.

Placed an online order and when I arrived the order had not been made. The excuse was that the order does not print off in the kitchen when an online order is made. This location needs competent employees that know the POS systems. Now I need to wait 5-10 days for a refund. Order online at your own risk.

2nd time here. I go for the wings. They are great. Very large and very meaty. The whole meal is more than I can eat. Huge selection of sauce for the wings.

My Southern Fried wings that I paid full price for on 1/2 price wing day (as they were not included, fair enough) were over cooked. Took forever to take out orders and forever again to get out order. The server did replace out fries with hot fries. Overall I was disappointed. I usually go to the Sherwood park WW and it is awesome. Decided to go here as it is close to home. Never again.

I canceled my doordash order less than a minute after ordering because I put in the wrong address...they refunded me a dollar

Horrible service I asked where to sit the bartender said where ever so we sat at a table right In front of the bar, we waited for close to 20 minutes without anybody to take our drink order or even say we will be right with you. They werent very busy either the 2 tables next to us had drinks already and I assume they ordered food and that didnt show up either in the 20 minutes we were there. I will not return, and I think it was $18 for a order of wings kinda pricey

1st time visiting but definitely going back lots of flavors. I would love to try clean environment nice stuff but it seemed like. Only one person was working the floor so service was a little slow but altogether great experience quaint little sports bar feel but without all the noise.

Four of us went for dinner, not one of us was happy with our meal. Wings were over cooked, ribs were lacking in sauce. There was no heat or spice to the food. An Inferno burger with no heat?! Food orders came out at different times. After eating, all four of us went looking for another place to get food because we were still starving. Will not go back, would no recommend. Thoroughly disappointing.

We called because we got broccoli bites instead of jalapeño poppers and we re missing fries and the manager (KP) told us when we order in the future they ll give us complimentary wings, jalapeño poppers and fries to replace the ones we were missing. I did not expect this and this is amazing Customer service!! This is our 2nd time eating there this week as I m trying to eat spicy wings to induce labor and we will definitely make this our go-to place. Very impressed! Thank you :)

A little disappointing in the end. Ordered take out. The lemon pepper was seasoned so heavily we all struggled to eat one. Wings seem on the small side for the pricier cost. Shared picture for context. To me the one on the right could maybe pass for average, just barely. The other, way small. The Greek wrap was good.

the first time we came here, it was a good service from the asian lady. the 2nd time, it was a disaster. the server. saw us coming and ignored us. during service, it was very slow. had to ask twice for ranch and carrots. did not give any veggies thats included with the meal. why? so weird. wanted to pay and leave and no staff to help us. The service needs to get better.

First time having Wild Wing was at the restaurant, wings were cooked to a crisp, couldn t even bite into them. No biggie, it happens. Ordered again for delivery via Skip The Dishes few months later. Spent $113, and 2 out of 3 orders were wrong. Managers said to come into the restaurant and they would give us $15 off. The 2 orders they got wrong cost $60. Not worth trying it for a third time. Disappointing and definitely not worth the price tag.

When I went to use the washroom she made my girlfriend pay and forced it in her face . She also just completely ignored us the whole time never took care of our experience and forced her to give a tip by looking at the machine to pay. Please get her fired asap

Food was excellent, some of the best wings I ve had in a long time! Lots of flavour combinations to choose from. Server was quite nice. My only complaint is that it was VERY warm inside, it didn t feel like the AC was on at all. We were uncomfortable by the end of our visit. Kid-friendliness: Had colouring for the kids. They enjoyed the food as well. Good options for them!

Service was pretty good and the server was lovely, but a little slower after the second server left and the woman was on her own with the whole restaurant and takeout orders. First time at this restaurant. So many choices! Narrowed down to 2 flavors. Had excellent hot food - the traditional style was delicious as were the flavors - Honey Jerk, and All dressed dried. Our server Rebecca was attentive and very engaging. We also ordered the Gar-Par rings - delicious and hot although I would have preferred the dip on the side versus on top! Overall great experience and will return...now if only the Oilers would have played better! Parking: Plenty of options for a Wednesday early evening!

On the menu cover, there was a picture of wings with some type of white sauce. I asked the server if she knew what flavour that was? Her response I don t know, didn t even try to find out. The menu is crazy expensive, $18 for 8 wings. The wings were a luke warm temp and very hard/crunchy. My husband asked the server if I order traditional hot wings, will it come with a dry rub or a sauce? Server s response is I don t know and didn t make an effort to find out. We had to ask for cutlery and napkins. Service in the entire establishment was slow. There appeared to be 1 cook on & cooking 1 order at a time. We were never asked for (pop) drink refills or how our meal was. My husband asked for a pop refill & the server had a deer in the headlights like, she appeared to be completely dumb founded that he asked that. We had to walk up to the till, To get the bill. The server didn t even ask us, how our meal was. She just punched in the numbers and handed me the device to pay. Will never go back

My son and I dropped in on opening day. Nice, bright and welcoming location. The staff and owners were friendly and our food orders filled promptly. Portions are generous and delicious.

We went to the soft opening for lunch and the wings were the best, our servers were so genuine and kind as well as the restaurant owners! We had a great time and my daughter loved her first chicken wing!

Went with 2 others... They had boneless wings... I tried the chili dog... They liked the wings.. I felt chili dog had a slight bbq flavor.. But no flavor at all in the chili... Disappointed.. But Very nice clean and new building!

I have been waiting for a Wild Wing in St Albert for YEARS! I am so happy it is here. We took our three kids tonight and had an absolute blast. The wings, as expected, we awesome. The kids meals were a great value. The food came pretty quick in spite of it being bonkers busy. Thanks so much to the awesome staff and managers. Thanks so much and we will 110% be back! Family of 4 arrived here for Thursday @ 5:15pm , the place had only a few tables taken. we seated ourselves and had to make a few different gestures and eye contact to the few servers they had walking around to finally get service. We ordered our drinks and It was another 20 minutes until we got them. We took about 5 minutes to figure out what we wanted to Order and then we waited another 20 minutes before someone finally came by to ask if we d been helped. We ordered our food and it s been roughly 45 minutes and we still haven t seen anything yet. Our server has come by once since for a refill. We haven t seen the food yet. I ll update this once We ve tried it, hopefully it s not as dry and overcooked as others have reviewed it to be. - Edit: Food finally showed up, partially. We missed a third of our order. Some of it we asked to be boneless and some to be traditional/classic. Everything showed up with bone in. Not only is it very slow service, it s also not accommodating. Kitchen needs to be more staffed or better trained, servers blamed the kitchen the entire time

We visited Wild Wings last week and sat on the patio which was quite nice as it was warm and the sun was still shining (of course the vehicle noise from St. Albert Trail is a bit painful). Our server (Rachel) was really friendly and helpful with information on the menu options. It was quite busy as it was half price wings night (well you need to buy a drink... really anything but water and it is only the Single order) however the wait for drinks and food was acceptable for a new restaurant and Rachel did check in a number of times so I consider her a very good server. There are so many options to choose from on the menu that it makes it very hard to make a choice (more pictures are needed). I did pick the garlic and ceasar flavour which was interesting but sooo messy. I probably would not pick it again. The fries and onion rings were also pretty good. We will no doubt return again. Sorry, I forgot to take pics. Next time.

Absolute worst service. Took over 40 min to get a drink, people that came in after us were fed and gone and we had not gotten our meals yet. No one asks if you want another drink. Drinks tasted watered down. Total garbage

Was our first time at the st.Albert location and was not impressed at all ! Service was slow took forever to get drinks and then over 45 mins for food! When I asked waitress how much longer she comes back with the answer of your order was marked as next but I moved it up so they are making it now!! Other tables around us were asking how much longer they had to wait also so not just us! Don t go unless you have the lots of time to kill!!

Wings were great! Bree the server is amazing and goes beyond! Fantastic sever!

First visit and had a great experience. Good and service were very good. Brie was a great server and very helpful and knowledgeable. It was 1/2 price wing night. I had the dill pickle wings and fries. Delicious and just the right amount of dry rub. I ll be back for sure!

Husband is a huge wing fan. Ordered poutine, wing platter and drinks. Poutine was cold, wings over cooked and couldn t even distinguish between flavours. I had a Long Island iced tea that was pop with rum maybe. Server didn t ask how our meal was until almost done. Told her it was not good. I guess she talked to owner who said we should have complained when food was served. Lol ya good luck getting lone servers attention. One and done for this over priced wing joint

Food came quick, great service, cool environment. Manager came to our table and he was a great guy. Overall great experience. Me and my cousin enjoyed the food.

The smallest wings I have ever seen, KFC has bigger ones. Service was also very slow. Will never go back.

19$ for 9 or 8 wings, fries and soft carrots and celery and a ranch dip. They are not bigger or this better. The sauces are great though. Had wild honey Thai and come on up (creamy dill). Todays service was slow and we didnt know why, seems they had someone new and short staffed. Later on she got some help and it was much better but it took over 1 hour initially to get drinks and still no glasses for our pitcher of beer, 20 min later we got glasses. Place has 2 other tables with people.

The place is very clean and the staff was amazing. Great service and food was fresh and very tasty . Lots of flavors so need to come back again to try all!

Dry chicken in the wings and we ordered boneless and received wings with bones in some of them. Bland flavours and no quality control.

Went for lunch to this new place. Amazing Bruschetta Flatbread. Owner came over to introduce himself and Thanked me for stopping by. Amazing waitress, I do believe her name was Jamie. Definitely be back.

I was there recently and was served by Jamie, absolutely a sweet heart, and is very tentive to the needs of the customer, was also very happy and professional, food and drinks were great!! I will b back, thanks again for the positive experience, and delicious food!!!

Magnificent

Went tonight to have wings. Sat there about 10 - 15 minutes while they were chatting it up at the counter. We walked out.

I got a mushroom burger and there was no mushrooms on the burger and the lettuce was brown and rotten. My friends got over 50 wings and they were all rock hard and cold. I also got a water to drink and my cup was completely dirty. We told the waitress our concerns and she brought us the supervisor. We then explained everything to the supervisor. Him and the manager both just made up poor excuses.

Went to get some wings, got there and was told to sit my self, went to the bar and waited about 5 minutes till someone even looked at us, then they took our drink order and we got our drinks, and was told that they would be right there to get our food, another 5-10 minutes went by and finally they came and we ordered regular bone in wings and calamari. 10 minutes later they came back and said that they are all out of normal wings, the place is called wild wing how do ya run out of wings, so we said the breaded wings would be fine so we waited about 30 minutes and the server came back and said that they were out of calamari. I then asked for the bill for just the drinks we will go eat somewhere else then are server went to the manger that was standing close to us and said they cancelled the food and she rudely said what people as we were beside them, sitting at the bar. Overall a terrible first experience trying wild wings.

Well it wasnt first time I visited this place and every time I get more and more exited over visiting. On day one when I was there it wad terrifically busy but all of the staff were working super hard and trying to serve everyone possibly and that was great sign plus if someone dont like food they instantly change it as well. I was there with my friends and we were served super nicely, we got half of order bit late but understandably it was rush and I noticed couple other tables who were arguing over food that was cold but I saw that it was hot as it was steaming and we clearly were able to see that. But still manager got them new food even though that was already half of it they had it.. thats why I always like to visit them super nice people with excellent service

Nice place exiting interior and super healthy energetic environment to visit.. I was there with my family and we all enjoyed a lot. Technically I am regular customer of wildwing and definitely they are newly open but provides natural service and genuine person. I was happy that on my sons birthday they gave us one cheese cake after that my son was happy and he always now insist me to once in a week to visit there. Never got disappointed from place. Thank you team.

Very good service and food

First visit at this Wild Wing location. We visited on a Friday evening at about 7:30 PM; the restaurant was visibly busy and we quickly understood that there may be some delays due to the rush. We figured we would be fine regardless - and patiently wait. We were promptly seated and thought we were off to a good start. It took over 20 minutes to get our drinks and another 45 minutes to get 4 orders of wings and fries. The waiting staff was visibly running, but borrowing an expression from the aeronautical world, they were all thrust, no vector; running around but without patrons being fed faster. We noticed several patrons getting waiters attention with misplaced orders or wanting to get an update on their untimely meals. The wait for our meal was rendered more frustrating by the well-intentioned waiting staff updating us with typical restaurant platitudes ( your order is next they are just plating it right now , etc) just to be followed with another 10-15 mins wait. This could then explain why our plates arrived lukewarm at best, one at a time, several minutes apart. While the flavours were nice, the wings themselves were atrocious. Over-cooked, unbelievably dry and ridiculously small. Each platter had at least 2-3 wings that were barely 2 (5cm) long with hardly any meat on them. At $17 per order, we found ourselves quite cheated on the size of the wings. I ve had significantly better quality wings in military cafeterias in war zones; I expected more from a Wild Wing franchise. Our server was actually quite apologetic about our order - both for the wait and the visibly small-sized winglets - and we sympathized with the situation they were placed in. It appeared to us that management was lacking to overview the overall dining experience. In summary, we have eaten wings at many restaurants, including other Wild Wing franchises and this was by far our worst experience. Long wait, sub-par food and very poor value considering the tiny wings hardly had any meat on them. Go elsewhere or even pick up frozen wings at your local grocery store that s what we will do before returning to that Wild Wing location.

We have been there twice now. The food and the service have been excellent! Both times KP the manager came and spoke with us and the server Adriana? was so patient and helpful. We would recommend giving it a try.

Amazing food, great service and excellent atmosphere! We have been several times since they opened and we are always greeted with a friendly welcome and the food is always top notch. Definitely recommend you try them out!! Oh.. by the way they have over a 100 different wing flavours!!

Food is ok, staff is great!

Its a pretty good spot, there is a special on Tuesday which is a bonus. Breaded wings were good, served hot and fresh.

Large, Meaty, Tasty Wings. Most pubs are serving small econo-size wings. Our group of guys has been meeting for wings and beer for many years. Since the Celtic Knot closed, we have been searching for really good wings unsuccessfully, and we have now found them here. It was their grand opening and busy, noisy but friendly, good service, very enjoyable.

Excellent service and amazing food!

We booked the table for 14 people and when we get there they gave table to another group even we were on time. Food took an hour and half to the table. Few orders never made it. We brought cake there but end up waiting for food for so long we just took cake cake home. Never going there again!! Suppose to be nice and family birthday and end up just a disappointment!

Great concept. Not a fan of breaded wings. Wings were just ok. Too much breading. Fries were good and staff friendly.

Stopped in for dinner, server was very friendly and cheerful. Food was hot, tasted great, and came out quickly. As is with wild wing the meal was on the pricey side but cest la vie.

Wings were top notch as expected! Service was amazing Cocktail variety could be expanded on, otherwise we has a great experience!
