150 Bellerose Dr #104, St. Albert, AB T8N 8N8, Canada
Great food deserves to be enjoyed by everyone. That’s why we’ve designed a menu full of culinary creations that are waiting for you to discover them. Paired with outstanding service in a comfortable atmosphere, the Nineteen experience can be summed up in just three words: simply great food.
Came here for my birthday dinner and we were not disappointed. Everything from the appetizers to the mocktail, to the entrees and dessert were excellent. The service was incredible. The only downside was that it was very loud. We came for a romantic date night and almost had to yell at each other to be heard. There was a large party of women celebrating a birthday though and was of no fault of the establishment. Excellent food, excellent service.
We initially had a 3 top reso booked and changed it to 6 last minute for my birthday but the team was super supportive and we made it work. Everything was top notch.
My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at XIX in St. Albert, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was awesome—our server was attentive without being intrusive! She had great knowledge of the dishes and wine pairings, and we felt well taken care of throughout the meal. Every dish we tried really highlighted the talent and teamwork of the entire kitchen staff. The goat cheese-crusted tenderloin and tuna twists were exceptionally good! We can’t wait to return and try more of their menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch dining experience in St. Albert!
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Excellent service and delicious food. Highly recommend.
Eat here! This is my second time eating at a XIX Nineteen; First time eating at this location and it did not disappoint. Delicious food that is balanced. If you have allergies they will also accomodate very effectively. Thank you!
Have been recommended this restaurant by a few friends, so was excited to check this restaurant out. My advice is, if you are hungry do not come here. Our waiter recommended me to get the "rack of lamb" which costs 56$ + tax. While the lamb was well cooked, and tasted good, you only get 3 tiny pieces of lamb, which was disappointing and felt like a complete rip off. The desert I got was good, would recommend the freshly baked cookie with ice cream. The ambience was nice you could see into the kitchen through a glass window, which I liked. TLDR: Good tasting food, portions really small, prices steep for what you get. Would not come back here (maybe just for desert)
XIX in St. Albert is a stunning space in the newer set of complexes at Shops at Boudreau. The space is modern in decor with art pieces and mood lightning. Wood paneling and comfortable furniture adorn the moody space. Our service was extremely professional and helpful befitting a higher end food establishment. The food is an interesting thing... I agree with a few folks in the comments who weren't all that excited about the food. The presentation and concepts are amazing. However, the taste of the food somewhat falls flat in comparison to other top end restaurants in the city. I only make this distinction because the prices at XIX are steep...which puts them into that upper echelon. Otherwise, it is still a good dining experience all around. 4 x 🥘🥘🥘🥘
Having had the good fortune to be treated to a fabulous dinner at XIX Nineteen’s Terwillegar location a while back (business dinner so no pics or notes for review), we just had to try their St. Albert location on our recent return trip/food tour in Edmonton. And we’re happy to report that the St. Albert location didn’t disappoint. After having enjoyed some spectacular main plates during our earlier Terwillegar visit (the 42 day dry aged Picanha Steak and Chilean Sea Bass were both fabulous) we decided to design our own “tapas-style” meal from the St. Albert location’s fascinating Starters selection. But our first order of business was to follow the recommendation of a friend and try their cocktails. They have a small but imaginative selection of craft cocktails, and an equally small but mighty selection of classics. We decided on two from the craft section: a Passion Fruit Piña Colada Martini (‘cause one of us loves all things passion fruit), and; an English Garden (‘cause one of us love all things gin). Both cocktails were outstanding, with special kudos to the mixologist for adding freshly cracked black pepper to the English Garden. We’ve never seen that done before and trust us when we say it takes an already classic cocktail to another level. We ordered four Starters to share: Double Smoked Bacon Wrapped Scallops; Gruyere Cheese Croquettes; Buttermilk Fried Pacific Oysters, and; Gorgonzola Mussels. Everything was accompanied by two glasses of a crisp, delicious New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Every dish was delicious, with particular honours to the Gorgonzola Mussels (the accompanying Kennebec Fries were cooked to perfection, always a treat) and the Bacon Wrapped Scallops. And if you haven’t had XIX’s Tomato-Bacon Jam you’re missing out. We asked our very attentive server to space the plate into three “courses”, and she and the kitchen team nailed the pacing. This deserves mention because we often ask for this kind of consideration, and all-too often the pacing we request breaks down pretty quickly. Our selections allowed us a rare treat - dessert! So we chose one liquid option; the Bourbon Cherry Float (an insanely delicious Bourbon-forward delight), and one more traditional offering; the XIX Signature Warm Butter Cake (essentially butter held together by a deeply satisfying cake batter and bathed in fresh berries and coulis - so good). If you’re looking for well executed fine dining-level food in an upscale but relaxed atmosphere, professional service and fair price for the quality on offer ($250 all taxes and gratuity included) you really ought to give XIX Nineteen a go. Highly recommended.
Ir, youre hungry and need food fast this is the place.
We dined here to celebrate our 54th anniversary. We were given a lovely table in a private area of the restaurant. Helena and the rest of the staff provided excellent service. The beef tenderloin was to die for but the duck, the special for the evening, was a huge disappointment.
Great place to eat with a nice atmosphere! Thanks so much.
Just had the best prime rib burger and fries of my life!
Food was absolutely amazing, NY steak with the purées was delicious, my girlfriend had the bison and she loved it with the gyoza it came with! Helena was a lovely waitress and her service was great!
We went for my wifes birthday and reserved a table for 2. We were given a cute corner booth Good friendly professional service. The entire meal was delicious. We had the ahi twists, the steak, and the short ribs. Everything was spot on. XIX is not a cheap restaurant, but they are worth it.
Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating Wheelchair accessibility: Very open and accessible Food : 4/5 |
Service and food is outstanding. St Albert is lucky to have this gem of a restaurant! Dijon crusted halibut is my favourite dish. From the friendly, knowledgeable hostesses and wait staff to the awesome kitchen staff - everyone is 5 star! Food
Updated: been coming here since 15/16. Never disappointed here. Great food, great atmosphere. Side note: mini tv s at the table during the cup run would be great!!
Excellent service but too small portions and overpriced.
Its been along time since I have had an dinning experience like this. Great place, great food
2 things that make me want to write a review which I honestly have never done before. 1 the music in the lounge is so inappropriate for the clientele. The average age has white hair during happy hour and they are playing club music. We went with my 87 yr old mum; myself 55 and my niece who was 24 and we all preferred the cool eclectic music in the bathroom. 2 . You can not reserve in the lounge which I totally got until May 7th when the middle high top was reserved. I was thinking amazing we can do this now. I asked upon leaving and the Hostess front person (whom I feel was a manager) said no unfortunately we don t reserve in the lounge. I asked then why the table reserved. With a pause she said oh it s for the investors cousin so she had to reserve it. Luckily I live the food and staff.
Absolutely love every experience we have had at XIX! Holly and her staff go out of their way to make us feel special at every visit. Our daughter uses a wheelchair, and they are so accommodating at making sure we have a spot where she feels included . It means the world to her! Food is fabulous. Wine is fabulous. Staff is beyond fabulous! Great job
I had arranged with Holly, the manager to host my boyfriend s birthday party here for 19 people. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Holly was extremely quick to respond to my Emails and arrangements. The wait staff were incredible! Fast, friendly, efficient. The food is SOOOO GOOD! Everyone enjoyed their food. The portions look small, but it s REALLY FILLING!!!! And worth every dollar. By far my favourite restaurant to date. Others at the table said XIX nineteen is in their top 5 favourite restaurants. Huge shout out to their kitchen staff for making delicious food and having it ready so quickly for our group. And shout out to the serving staff for being so kind, and efficient. They had made the birthday surprise a dream, and went so smoothly. Highly recommend this restaurant! Thanks again Holly and team, you made tonight a dream!!!! I appreciate you! Kid-friendliness: They had a kids menu. The kid in our group ordered veggies, French fries and the burger sliders. By far the best sliders I have eaten to date!
Very disappointing atmosphere and service. This is a place I have been coming to for years with family and friends. We decided to go on a Friday afternoon for Happy Hour. It felt like we were at a nightclub on the lounge side where we have been many times before. I had asked our server twice to see if she could turn down the blaring rap music. The second time I had asked if the music could be turned down, I was told that the manager Holly didn t want to turn down the music so that the guests conversations wouldn t be overheard. I advised our server that we couldn t even hear our own conversation sitting side by side. Super unimpressed and we won t be back. As a successful business owner, I listen to my customers requests not what makes me happy.
I love this place and their atmosphere. It s one of my go to places with family and friends. We enjoy their diverse menu and ambiance in the dining room AND the lounge! It s always a great time when we dine here, whether its for a special event or a girls night out we are always impressed!
Dined here multiple times and every time, service and food has been amazing! Amazing ambience and vibe. The dining room and lounge have different vibes, however both never disappoint. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can tell this restaurant is well managed. Love it here!!
Overpriced food and poor service and atmosphere.
Good overall. Probably wont revisit though.
Everything is perfect our server Nathan the best ! 100% recommended this place. Love it
Our first experience at XIX has been fantastic! Our server, Nathan, was exceptional! His recommendations for drinks and food - perfect! We can t wait to come back and look forward to trying more of the menu.
Great tasting food, perfect for a special occasion!
We have had this place on our list of restaurants to eat at for quite sometime but just never managed to make it there. I have to say, first the greetings from the staff upon arrival were more than your normal restaurant average. Arriving and leaving, every server and hostess acknowledged you with a warm smile and a hello or have a great evening. We had two appetizers, bang bang prawns and the ahi tuna taki, you will not be disappointed. The prawns were of nice size and the tomato, basil topping was a perfect match. The tuna presentation was fantastic, individually wrapped on forks, the slightly spicy noodles with melt in your mouth tuna was fantastic. Glad we ordered this one on a whim. All while waiting for this, they had a lavender gin and hibiscus drink on special. We had several, so good. The cocktails are balanced extremely well here. Forains we had the bison strip loin and tenderloin. For the bison, the avocado sale verde risotto.... Wow. And the bison was fantastic, but I almost feel the fennel sausage stole the show from it as it was unbelievably good. The tenderloin, all we can both say is, (coming from predominantly steak eaters) , this was the heat steak we have had in Edmonton. It melted in your mouth, the goat cheese crust added an incredible depth of flavour and the accompaniment was presented beautifully and full of flavour! Price wise, other than maybe a bit high on the appetizers l, I would say its on point considering what you get from other places. Highly recommend a visit here, I know we will be going back!
First time and it was amazing
Very expensive restaurant.. be prepared to spend money here . The food is good , but definitely not worth what you pay for. Small piece of Sable fish for $52? Small rack of lamb for $56? $16 cocktails? For the price, I would definitely recommend going somewhere else . I will not return. Our server was very friendly but really knew nothing about the menu and what he was serving. If I m paying $500 for a dinner for 4 , would be nice to have a server that knew what was going on with the menu
We chose this venue for a business dinner and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious! The chef will also make a vegan entree by request which is lovely! Great wine pairings as well. Highly recommend.
Delicious meal, great service
Judging people by appearance was evident and unfortunate . Food was fabulous but host s behaviour should improve!
The experience here at XIX was excellent. Our server Leningrad was excellent. He was attentive but not intrusive. The meal was wonderfully prepared and the creme brulee was an excellent compliment to my meal.
We had an absolutely amazing dinner experience recently at X1X St Albert. It started with Valerie who was one of the best servers weve ever had! If you can dine under her service, make sure you do! She made great recommendations, was extremely personable, and had just the right balance of checking in and letting us be. We felt like we had become friends with her, or perhaps just hoped. :-) The atmosphere is perfect, with a balance of elegance while still letting you feel comfortable being casual. And then there was the food, which was stunning to look at and to eat. The arancini was creative and unique and the smoked bolognaise ravioli is an absolute experience! Scallops were cooked perfectly and the gnocchi was incredible. And then there was dessert. No matter what we had, the experience blew us away and we now place XIX among our favourite places to go!
Hoisin Short Ribs are very good.
Food was delicious! Tasheena our server was fantastic, attentive and not intrusive. She is well versed in the menu and made excellent pairings for us. She is a professional and it shows. We had a wonderful meal and will absolutely be back again!
Omg, so delicious, everything is amazing. It s a great place to take your true love on a date, very busy so make reservations. Dietary restrictions: Were able to find gluten free options, staff and kitchen were helpful.
The waitress in the bar was very friendly, patient and understanding. While I initially didnt mean to eat here as another place was packed, I had a wonderful experience in the lounge. The food was very fresh and my glass was never empty. For the chicken sandwich I recommend a sharper knife as its an open sandwich with a good helping of chicken breast. Im glad to have left full and now I know what I like here!
I went here with my girlfriend to try and have a nice special night out together and this place did not disappoint. The food was absolutely fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection and seriously exceeded expectations. We were almost left speechless at how great it tasted. Our waiter was friendly, passionate and genuinely seemed like he cared about our experience. He gave recommendations/comparisons when asked and did not hesitate for a second. He clearly knew the menu inside and out. Our only complaint, and it s very minimal, was that we found it a tad loud. Nothing outrageous, but when it s busy you need to be talking a little louder than normal. Easy 5 stars here.
Wow! Such a great evening for a date night. The food was incredible. Would highly recommend the bacon wrapped scallops. The service was great, really attentive and knowledgeable of the menu.
We ve eaten in restaurant before and enjoy the atmosphere and food (though it s pricey for amount you get) and thought we d get take out salads. Good salad (we both had harvest). Was shocked it was $30 (they don t post prices online of course ). Was it worth that? No. Not sure why they price themselves out of business but it s impossible to justify this as a $30 salad.
My husband and I are always blown away by our experience at Nineteen. Our favourite server Holly always has the best recommendations and knows the menu inside and out. We always leave feeling very satisfied.
First time in tonight and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was beautiful, our server Lenin was fantastic and the food was amazing. My husband and I ordered double smoked bacon wrapped scallops to start, the Atlantic lobster ravioli, the scallop and berkshire pork belly as our mains, the apple cinnamon tart and the Signature Butter Cake for dessert. Everything was fantastic and we left full and happy. 100% recommend.
Came for brunch and the service was amazing (I think our waitress was Samantha and she was awesome). Food was really good and fits the price. Will definitely eat here again!
A wonderful place to eat. Food and service was top notch and the environment was warm and inviting.
Some of the best food I have had in a dine out experience. Excellent service by the waiter. We did the Valentines Day special and it was very worth it. We hope to return soon!
Went for a Valentine s Day special with my fiancé. Restaurant was extremely nice inside and service was fantastic. However, the food just wasn t that great. The price was pretty crazy too, I knew it was going to be expensive so I m not bashing that. The food just wasn t that great. There were lots of people but multiple empty tables so I don t think it was overly crazy busy.
Exceptional restaurant for all occasions. Highly recommend their infamous ahi tuna twist, beef short rib (or any meat dish), and their signature buttercake for a dessert.
Expensive but worth it. Classy, contemporary setting and big portions. My beef short rib was rich and filling. I may also be slightly obsessed with the house-baked bread you get before the meal. Warm, soft with a hit of molasses, its divine. My gin tea blossom cocktail was subtle and refreshing.
My other half and I visited here yesterday to sample the happy hour menu deals and were very pleased! It was her birthday and she had hankering for some mussels and they hit the spot according to her! We also had ginger beef which was crunchy and tasty, sliders which were packed with flavor for a little fun and my favorite which was the calamari. It had a very nice marinara sauce. Service was prompt, pricing was great and we will be back!
My second time here. Exceptional quality food and service again. I felt the price was reasonable for the quality. The waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu. Very nice atmosphere. Parking isn t great though. I will return here again!
Exceptional Spanish Wine Dinner last Monday! Food and wine pairing was superb. Wine dinners are a special event that sells out every time .get tickets early
We went to XIX restaurant St Albert for a Friday lunch. My spouse had the ATLANTIC LOBSTER RAVIOLI. It had only 3 prawns. Each one had their tails on. She had to dig them out of the sauce to remove the tails. Tails should be removed before serving them in the sauce. The sauce was way too spicey. I had the WAGYU BEEF RICOTTA GNOCCHI. The gnocchi was fine. The wagyu beef was ground up and tougher than hamburger. It was served in an ordinary tomato sauce. We had the baked caramel chocolate cookie. It was the driest baked cookie that I have ever had. The many baked cookies I have had in the past, were drizzled with caramel sauce. XIX s baked cookie had a clump of caramel just dropped in the middle of the cookie. That s just lazy. It was the worst meal I have had in memory. 40 minutes after leaving the restaurant and arriving home, my spouse had diarrhea. We will never go back.
The food and ambience are top notch. The menu is almost on the fine dining price but the quality you get makes it worth it. Hats off to the kitchen staff. Service is good as well. I have to take one star off because you are forced to tip a minimum 18% from the machine. They purposely make the custom tip option not work (I tried pressing it multiple times) so you end up just pressing the minimum default (I didnt want to bother asking why it doesnt work). I typically tip at least 15% on a descent service, anything over that the service has to be outstanding. It just kind of sleazy for them to make it this way.
Mediocre at best. Fine dining felt like I was at boston pizza.
Haleigh took my reservation and was amazing from start to finish. Meal ans service was fantastic! Thanks again
Honestly, I was really surprised by how disappointing this experience was. The service was excellent, but the food was really bland - for a $300 dinner, I expected a much more elevated cuisine. My partner also ended up with a touch of food poisoning from his meal. I have been to this restaurant in the past and loved it, but I likely won t be returning.
New lobster linguini is amazing!!!
The server and the vibe was great. Ordered caesar, bacon wrapped scallops, Gorgonzola mussels, lamb chops. Caesar salad with garlic roasted chicken was absolutely delicious but this is where it ends the Gorgonzola sauce tasted watered down (although I ve had it there before and it was phenomenal), the scallops were alright (lacked zestiness), lamb chops were over-cooked. I never mentioned all this to the server and I wish I did. Ah well place is pricey and don t mind paying as long as the flavour of food reflects it. Hopefully things taste better next time around
This was not what we had expected based on prior reviews. Service was very average and almost condescending at times, we came from Vancouver to experience the great Alberta beef but it was not good at all !!!... the Picanha Steak was not edible, tough, fatty and was not palatable and actually had to be spit up on the plate as it could not be swallowed. The servers only response was , I hoped you enjoyed it, does the Chef not check the plates when returned to the kitchen? I have never complained about a meal or service ever but the poor quality of cut overshadowed the better elements of the meal. Not even a one star with four star prices.
Great food, excellent service provided by Nelson! He thought of everything and was the perfect amount of friendly.
Came here with some friends and was impressed atmosphere and service. Mussels were my favorite
Sunday brunch at XIX St Albert was Delicious! The decor was pleasing and everything was spotless. My Big Breakfast was plenty big and yummy, and my dining partners Eggs Bene was perfectly prepared. Nothing wrong with service, just not exceptional. We will definitely be returning!
This restaurant never lets me down. Food and service is always on point
We ve been to the lounge and restaurant several times, and have had nothing but good experiences. The food, wine, and service were excellent during all of our visits
St. Alberts best restaurant. Ive been here twice now and both times they exceeded all expectations. The food was *so* good, like, Ill never forget the duck, the oysters, the bacon wrapped scallops, omg. This place is expensive, youll want to bring at least $200, but neither you, nor your date, will regret it. Come make a memory, trust me. Parking: Parking is free, easy and straightforward!
Great ambience!
Love the food, drinks, service and vibe!
I had a wonderful dining experience here this evening from start to finish and received exceptional service throughout. Even though I went in without a reservation, which is never ideal, they had one table in the dining room that was not reserved and offered it to me. Treated very respectfully by our server who was extremely charismatic, and enjoyed some other humour with a gentleman who was working. The food was top notch and both the appetizer and entree were an experience on their own. The salmon was cooked to perfection; the cocktails were wonderful and perfectly mixed to create a drink that is actually worth the $13 (2 Oz), expecially given that it is above industry standard.
Went here for brunch for the first time and it was delicious! Beautiful space and the manager Alicia gave great recommendations will be back!
I visited on December 16th with a reservation at 5 pm with a group of 10 ,. we ordered 5 NY steaks by recommendation of the server , but they were not worth it at all , a lot of fat that it was really hard to chew , my husband literally left all his plate with pieces of chewed pieces. We didn t want to say anything because of a lot of people and waiting time .. also my husband doesn t like complaining about the food at the restaurants because he is afraid of servers or cooks spitting on his dish etc . To be honest we felt ripped off for the $63 cost of the NY steak , I can choose it and wcook it better we don t mind paying $63 as long as the steak is good Deserts were tasty , mushroom soup delicious .. scallops were terrible . We have ordered holiday dinners ( catering )before and it s been always good , but first time ordering steak not sure if we are coming back again . Improvements : - be careful when choosing the steaks and suppliers - Cocktails are nothing special , there s a lot of room for improvement here Strengths : - service : excellent - location - cozy
Food is amazing service is absolutely horrible.
*****last update - Rik was one of the most attentive, accommodating, and courteous servers I ve ever had. His recommendations were spot on as well. This would have been a 5++ review except for the start of the experience below. *****update, server is great and the food amazing, but below still stands. Let s just say we re starting out on the wrong foot when after we re seated being told, so in two hours we have more important people coming and you re going to have to GTFO . Paraphrasing as I heard it of course, but I don t usually go out to a decent restaurant to spend a few hundred dollars on a timeline. Boo and fail.
My wife and I came in to enjoy the happy hour menu, which was great (try the mussels!) but the star of the show was the entree. We opted for ossobucco and they were graciously willing to split and plate the meal for both of us. The photo was for half of the entree. To say that it was a generous serving would be putting it lightly. The dessert was very nice, a tad on the sweet side for us but a great way to end the evening. We will be back!
Best dinner ever!!!
Both the service and the food were excellent.
Great food and excellent service !
This restaurant has improved greatly since they first opened in St. Albert. Great appetizers and the best wine list in St. Albert!
Very good service, good place for dinner.
Horrible experience at this restaurant. I went here for my birthday. The hostess and our waiter didn t even say happy birthday to me. There were so many people working and it took 10 minutes to get a drink. Overall the experience sucked and I definitely won t be going back to this place again.
We had reservations however we spent 10 minutes standing at front waiting for a hostess to seat us (there were plenty of empty tables but she was doubling as a waitress and explained it was busy). Server added still water to our sparkling, there were no tissue or hand towels in the washroom, no decaf coffee made, came after our dessert was finished. This was a special occassion and it felt like we were in a low rate restaurant. Food is generally good here but for the price, there are better options. Id like to say this is a one off however our last experience was burnt flatbread..
Nice atmosphere.. crab cake starter was thumbs ...( Too fishy ) However main courses impressed !
I had the wagyu beef gnocchi and cant get over the fact that the wagyu beef was in ground beef form...I mean, why? Whats the point of using a finer cut of beef if its just going to be broken to pieces? Felt like a bait n switch. That or the $20 for a glass of Pinot Noir. Yiiiikes.
Came into this restaurant for my birthday. I heard good things from the manager Holly and she assured me that my experience would be top notch. After having this dinner party over the weekend, I can say without a doubt that this establishment gave me the best experience ever! All the employees were so accommodating, the food was AMAZING, and the service was the best that Ive ever had. Would definitely come back again for all types of functions and my business meetings with the professionalism that they uphold. You will mot be disappointed coming here!
Wow amazing food, presentation, taste, service. Just blown away!
By far one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Everything I ate was amazing. We ordered 4 different appetizers. Five of us each had different meals from seafood to beef to pasta. The service was excellent, thank you!
Food and service was fantastic
Fantastic atmosphere, food is excellent, and the service I received was incredible. Thanks for the great experience Holly!
Tuna twist
One word; wow ! Great atmosphere and even better food. You definitely get what you pay for; the prices on the menu seem a bit steep until your first bite. Had the Tuna twist as an appy + Lamb as a main- perfectly cooked. With a group of friends of about 8 the service was on par with the food. Great beverage selection as well.
I wish I got a picture of our appetizers and meals from XIX Nineteen! We came here for a work Christmas party and the food/service was incredible!! Our server Julie also helped make for an amazing night! Thanks again! :)
Attended a other wine pairing at XIX. Magnificent Australian cuisine and wine.
Overall was okay. The environment is good, and staff are welcoming. We ordered lobster taco, salad, a steak, and couple of more. Lobster was okay, but steak was not good at all. I ordered medium rare but came overcooked, not worth the price at all. It could have been a great birthday night.
Great atmosphere, the food was tasty and service was fantastic
Staff and restaurant was great . There was 4 of us we meet once a month. I just got back from a month in the UK and had breakfast everyday there. Came back to Canada and Nineteen was one of the worst I have had in month . Ask for over easy eggs and crispy bacon , eggs look like they were just thrown on the plate and one of the yolks was broken.Sent back to have the the bacon to be done more crispy and have the eggs yolks not broken . Breakfast came back yoke hard and bacon looks like if was thrown in the deep fryer. McDonalds can cook better eggs and bacon. Our server apologized , I told her she did not cook the breakfast. The other 3 guest were happy with theirs as they ordered salads.. So when you go for brunch at Nineteen do not order bacon and eggs.
Excellent restaurant, food & customer service above & beyond!!
Great night out with delicious food!
We go here every Friday - best food and exceptional staff. They remember what you like and treat you amazingly well. Why go anywhere else when the service is top notch!
Its a great place for a dinner date, nice atmosphere and delicious food.
Absolutely exceptional on all accounts as usual
I love this menu, its hard to choose when everything is great. Service is always fast. Be aware the acoustics are very different between the two locations, and if you need quiet youre better off at Terwillegar.
Cocktail was amazing, dinner was quite good
My favourite restaurant in St.Albert because its consistently delicious. The atmosphere is elevated and trendy, we love the lounge menu. Everything is clean and meticulous, staff are friendly and their take out meals are really yummy!
My boyfriend took me for a late valentines dinner here and it was both of our first time being here and we enjoyed every minute, the atmosphere was relaxing and romantic, the staff was super friendly and went above and beyond and decorated our desserts, the food was fantastic! We enjoyed it so much we will definitely be back! Thank you!!!
First time here for brunch, had eggs benny, it was excellent! Cant wait to come back & try out the dinner menu!
Braised Short Rib, Quebec Veal Chop.... amazing
Good food . More like great food .
The food quality and flavor combinations are exquisite. The bartenders were knowledgeable, friendly staff, accommodating and great atmosphere. I heavily suggest the wagyu gyoza!
Went there with my wife this past Sunday as a belated valentines day and it was incredible. Flatiron steak and crab crusted salmon were cooked perfectly by Lauren (I believe that was the chefs name), and Hollys service was perfect. We will be returning
Food was delicious as always, service was great and everyone was properly social distanced.
Very friendly staff here, and we always enjoy the food. Just overall nice atmosphere and décor as well. Were planning on making this a regular Date Night location, as we live in St. Albert.
Great food. Small portions
Delicious food, amazing staff!! We will definitely be going back!
Had a fantastic brunch this morning. The service was fantastic, very friendly and helpful making sure we had everything we needed. I had the Crab Cake Benny and it was perfect. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the crab cakes were crunchy and bursted with flavour. It was a fantastic blend of flavour and texture. The potatoes on the side were crunchy and amazing. To finish things off the table ordered the cinnamon bun that we all enjoyed with coffee. I highly recommend XIX Nineteen for all your brunching needs. We will be back!
Food was amazing , service was very attentive. For appetizer the tuna sliders were great, not really spicy at all. The sauce the mussels were in was so delicious I kept dipping my bread in it. The fries with espresso aioli was a nice twist. Although the mussels were a little bit on the pricier side, they did come with fries. For dinner the gnocchi was superb, probably the best Ive had. Will definitely order again. Not pictured is the Apple Pie, it is in a soft crusty philo like pasty and was heavenly. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Exceptional service & food. I was super delighted that Holly was our server. Such an amazing positive attitude with a great smile! She was always checking-in on us and making sure we were satisfied. Furthermore the food had a great amount of flavours, while everything tested fresh and to the point! Just a bit pricey for the mains but everything was phenomenal!
I ordered through skip; mind you I don t normally buy expensive items. I thought I was ordering burgers. LOL twas not burgers it was what looked like sliced lunch meat. wagyu beef carpatio yeah sooo that s not a burger it s very expensive slices of meat and a caprese salad for $60 dollars abouts. It was good dont get me wrong just wasn t expecting it to be what it was. The husband and I had a good laugh. I ve attached an image just in case someone is curious as to what it is like I was. Sorry guys. It was my fault for not watching enough food TV and master chef I guess.
This was our first time at this restaurant. We went to this restaurant for a family birthday and we had a great experience. Julie our server was very accommodating and also knowledgeable on the menu items and we also had some good conversations with her. The dishes we had were all excellent. Thank you to the hostess for accommodating our table past our allotted time, it help make it a special evening for all.
It wasn t to bad
Great restaurant for special occasions! Vaccine passport required. Large portions. Especially the salad!
Great food, service and atmosphere!
Great service, wonderful staff, super friendly and terrific food. Please come and enjoy this place.
Food is amazing here, everything on the menu is made with thoughtful details. This is going to be my new spot for my husband and I for our date nights!
In St.Albert we have lots of restaurants to choose from but we always go back to Nineteen s for the service and the food. Hats off to Holly, Donia and the rest of the staff. I strongly recommend this gem of a place.
Food is great but service is cheap. Went for a nice birthday dinner with friends but our group found service disappointing for a fine dining restaurant. I don t mind splurging on a nice meal out with friends for a special occasion but I do expect better service to accompany the price-tag. Our table was not ready when we arrived. We found food and drink service to be slow. Our table was charged $4 for extra bread to go with an already $28 appetizer. Never included a complimentary dessert even though they asked if we were there celebrating something special. On top of that they were not accommodating to the Celiac allergy in our group- refusing to make her a GF appetizer. Food was great, just not the service you expect from a higher end restaurant.
They treat us so well every time we visit ! We love coming here. P.s. Happy Hour All Day Sunday !
Great place for a Sunday date! We came early in the afternoon and had super quick service and the best ginger beef ever. Great prices and atmosphere was perfect.
I love the lighting in the dining room at this location, it has a magical vibe and the food is always on point. We loved having our Christmas office party here. Cant wait to visit again.
Excellent!! We managed to get into the bar and had a wonderful meal. Carpaccio to start, caesar salad and the bacon cheese burger wrapped in lettuce. Service was fantastic and exceptionally attentive. Thanks to Toni who took really good care and kudos to the bar for the tasty Caesars!
Excellent cuisine, ambience & staff. Took myself there for my 70th birthday and a lovely fellow paid for my dinner! Thanks Doug! My crème Brule dessert is in the pic-didnt take pic when sparkler lit!
Amazing food and great atmosphere!
Stellar food and ambience at XIX. Having worked in the hospitality industry for 20 years I am hard to impress when it comes to a night out! It seems these days either the food or the service is off. It seems these days the value of what you receive doesn t line up with what you pay . This was definitely not the case at XIX. I would say this is the best meal i ve had in years. It wasn t cheap, but I didn t leave feeling cheated. It was a true culinary experience and I look forward to coming back soon. Best wishes XIX.
Slow service and ok food. This is our 4th visit to XIX in 3 years. The same complaint is the terrible long service wait times. Whether its dinner, lunch or cocktails - the staff takes at least 20 mins to even acknowledge you are there. No hello or water or drinks. This is not acceptable. Then its another 20 mins for drinks and 45 mins for food. There were only 6 other people in the entire place. Lunch took 2 hours! Either management needs to get on top of this or hire more servers so 1 girl isnt running the bar, lounge and restaurant. Very sad. Males me not want to return as nothing has improved.
Excellent food and service. Server was very knowledgable of the menu. Would definitely go back again.
Excellent food and amazing service.
Awesome menu!
Dinner here was wonderful, the food was delicious. Our waiter was super personable and we had lots of laughs. Thank you XIX for bringing out a special birthday cake for my best friend, it was a perfect night.
Reno and his staff are absolutely amazing!! Best kept secret for brunches but dinners are outstanding. Tuna twist and mushroom crustinis with a poached egg are over the top!! Thank you for a great evening
Fantastic food and presentation. Not the cheapest place but the food and quality of service are well worth it for special occasions. I definitely plan on returning again in the future.
One of our absolute favorite fine dining establishments. I highly recommend
Amazing! Large portions and delicious, unique drinks.
Food is beyond delicious. Already made our next reservation.
Great restaurant and dining experience. From the moment you walk in youre greeted by amazing staff who are very well trained and courteous. The atmosphere is upscale but not super dimly lit or loud. Menu is diverse with many fresh ingredients and seasonal offerings. Chef caters to any needs and cooks a fantastic medley of favours and senses! Dessert (creme brule) was very savoury and super delicious - a must try! Overall a 10/10 dining experience and a definite repeat in my books!
Amazing food! Amazing atmosphere!!
We hosted part of our daughters baptism and reserved the dining room section. The entire experience was fantastic - from the beginning to the end! The service was impeccable and the manager, Arielle was very accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, they provide amazing service and make GREAT food! Thank you for making our occasion extra special!!!
Great food, and atmosphere can get a little busy during evenings
Wow! My wife and I went for the first time last night and couldnt have been more impressed. The cocktails were fantastic and unique, foodand the was phenomenal! We will definitely be back.
Great food thinking it was a tad overpriced for volume of portions tho.
Amazing Brunch.
We ordered Mothers Day brunch for pickup, the food was beautiful, piping hot and super fresh. Well done.
Wonderful experience. Great tasting meals.
Angus burger and the sliders are second to none. Well prepared and served on a perfect bun.
Great restaurant. Loved it and will be going back soon.
Great Happy hour
Great service, even better food. Dont deny yourself this fine establishment. If you think otherwise, noone asked you anyways.
A must try. The food was stellar. I had the crab encrusted salmon with asparagus. I wanted to lick the plate My husband had the steak which he ate all of also. Our server Holly was sweet and attentive. This restaurant should be on the foodies list.
Brunch was amazing!!! Thank you so much to the staff for this delicious treat and professional, friendly, prompt service! Highly recommended!
What a very satisfying dinner! Customer service was A+, menu had a good amount of selections and was easy to read, and serving sizes were huge as you can tell by the pictures. We left feeling like we just ate at a buffet and we are not light eaters whatsoever. The food came out promptly, and was cooked perfectly. The setting was very romantic, so highly recommend for special occasions or dates. Special props to our server for making us feel very comfortable here for our first time and recommending a good camping spot for future reference haha.
I had gone for dinner with a colleague, expecting a phenominal meal. I had heard good things about the beef short rib, and so choose for dinner. The presentation was beautiful, with three onion rings stacked carefully on top. However.... I was absolutely disgusted and disappointed that such a spectacular cut of beef could be so profoundly ruined by the demi-glace. Instead of a rich, earthy and hearty flavour, it was drowning in a sickly sweet BBQ-type sauce that would send anyones blood sugar up to 30 within seconds of ingestion. I was profoundly disappointed with XIX Nineteen, and for a $45 dish, so is my wallet.
Great meal! Would definitely recommend.
Visited this place several years ago and thought it was average so thought I would try it again. Great ambiance and service. The food itself is flavorful and everything we had was decent however the price does not match the quantity of food you receive. Our whole table was still hungry after sharing appetizers, our entrees and dessert. Lobster ravioli was drenched in a sauce with 3 shrimp and 6 pieces of pasta. Will not be returning. There are many high end restaurants that deserve 5 stars in the city. Unfortunately this is not one of them.
Wonderful restaurant, highly recommend
One of our favorite spots in St Albert! Food is fantastic! Service is fantastic! We always plunk ourselves down in the lounge. Enjoyed the lobster ravioli and the honey garlic beef short ribs. Also some yummy cocktails. We highly recommend this spot and continue to go back and take family and friends.
Amazing food and ambiance!
Food was excellent! The portions definitely could have been a tad larger considering the price, but the flavors, quality, and presentation was top notch. Definitely recommend!
Food was ok
We went there yesterday, since the XIX has always been an excellent experience , this time it was different, I thought with everything going on they would be a bit more cautious with everything going on and while we were eating a whole party of 15 people arrive and sat on the next tables, getting up and walking around without masks. I though 15 people partying together was not allowed.
The food is so good, everything we ordered came out tasting great. Our server was very attentive and the workers make you feel extremely safe with what we are going through at the moment with covid.
Business supper was very good. A little noisy but food, service and wine selection was very good.
A great place for brunch. Service was good with helpful and friendly staff. The food was excellent. I had the Ricotta pancakes which were some of the yummiest Ive eaten. I will return.
Excellent food as always. They changed their menu for takeout but it is still very good.
Food was tasty, although kinda pricey for what it was though
Good food and drinks as usual. Always a favorite place for upscale dinning.
I had to call a couple of times to make changes to the reservation and both times they were very accommodating! Service with a smile from everyone from the host to all servers involved with our table, from beginning to end. Drinks and food were all great and tasty. Presentation was very good as well! We sat right in front of the kitchen and they were all professional and knew what they were doing. I like the fact that there is nothing to hide. Thanks for an awesome evening!
Food was Good, and the service was Great!
Excellent food, but expensive.
