The Canadian Brewhouse in St. Albert

Whatever you do dont order the Stony Plain Burger... its like a mix between a burnt Harveys and a charcoal-y M&M Tasty burgers with the colour and consistency of gray precooked mash. Even their fries obviously come out of a bag. The wings were... doughy? somehow? I dont even know how thats possible for a fried chicken wing. The cesear salad continues the theme of premade. Thank you Brewhouse for solidifying yourself as a pub to avoid. Ill be going to Sherlocks, Browns, or literally anywhere else in this category for something made in house, and at a better price.

We brought about 20 people from our curling league to the Lewis Estates Brewhouse for a Christmas get together. Food was great, Service from Shaylee was awesome as always.

Justice is literally the best!!! Made us feel so comfortable and kept checking on us. If he s there, you ll be taken care of! He serves drinks so fast as well, had a great time!!

There was nothing particularly wrong with the place, but nothing stood out either. There was some confusion about my reserved seating I had to move twice because staff vaguely pointed in the direction of the tables, saying, Yours is over there. The tables werent labeled with the reserving partys name, just marked as reserved. On top of that, there was a time limit for how long we could occupy our reserved seats, which was almost laughable.

The Brewhouse reminds me of the bars I used to go to when I was young. Everything was very good. They also have one of the best rewards programs.

Our server, Aislin, was efficient, friendly, and attentive to us. Even though it was a busy night of hockey and UFC, she continuously checked up on us and made sure we enjoyed our night!

Normally I would give a 5, everything was great. Our waiter was awesome. My issue arised when I left for the washroom, and came back to the seat where some waitress was hitting on my husband! I was sitting with him all night and she had the audacity to sneak right in. EXTREMELY inappropriate. Food

Excellent food, fantastic atmosphere, friendly and super efficient staff and server, her name was Tamsin. The general manager comped my wrap because the cooks forgot to substitute an item. Then she gave us three free drinks.

Came in for Lobster Fest with my good friend prior to heading off to the Oil game. The food was amazing. Paige and Sam made sure we had everything we needed and our drinks were always topped up! Thank you for a great evening!

Just want to give a huge shoutout to the manager Paige! We ordered through skip the dishes and when it arrived it was the wrong meal. I called the brew house and Paige offered to personally drive the meal to us. She was even kind enough to put a dessert in the bag as well for the mix up! We really appreciated the service and kindness! Thank you Paige!

Kennedy C and Olivia were legendary with a touch of chill. My experience was in fact so good It had me in a transcendent state in which there is neither suffering, desire, nor sense of self, and i was released from the effects of karma and the cycle of death and rebirth.

I got into a fender bender in the parking lot, and the person who hit me tried to run away. That was until Kennedy C and Olivia came running out of the establishment and ripped the wheel and tire assembly off of the assailants car and pulled him out of the car in a figure-four neck lock. I owe an incredible debt to both these girls for their actions that day. Also the burgers were okay. 10/10

Went in for Wing Wednesday and the service was phenomenal by Maya. Food was out quick and we were able to enjoy the oilers game on the TV. Highly recommend.

Very busy but I never care- probably just understaffed because the poor waitresses were straightup sprinting table to table. Got seated just after 6:00pm and they brought waters(to the wrong table but whatever it happens, then to us). THEN they didnt take my order or come back til 6:40 about. We were starving! When the food we ordered came around 7:15pm,(two appetizers and two meals), the appetizers were cold. Some yam fries were raw and hard. The Canadian burger was sopping wet. I asked for a takeout box cus honestly I wasnt sure I could eat my meal SOBER and in PUBLIC with how it tasted and they brought it in ten MORE minutes. We needed a pickmeup so we ordered the dessert poutine to go. Hopefully good... cant go wrong!

We booked a reservation for our brother Mikes 40th birthday and were so glad we did. We had Maya as our server and she was AWESOME!!! From the moment we met her, she was so friendly and helpful. She even helped us set up our decorations! Maya was so attentive and made our night so much fun! We have to give a shout out to our bartender, John, as well as the manager, Paige, who were both incredibly helpful with their service and suggestions on how to make the surprise birthday even better. Maya and John worked so well together and made our visit to the Brewhouse such an awesome experience. The Brewhouse should be very impressed with these two because they really understand what amazing customer service is. Thanks again for everything you guys! Every time I come here I love the food. It doesnt even matter what I get, I know its going to be good. I especially love the steak bites with their house steak sauce. I could drink that sauce, its so good

The service industry has steadily been declining I feel. However in visiting the Brewhouse we had Paige help us out (August 13th) and she absolutely hands down rocked her job. Great work Paige. Anyone visiting this restaurant should really see if she is working and ask to be seated in her section she won t disappoint.

I would have gave it 5/5 on the food but they were out of cactus cut chips. The staff was very enjoyable and approachable. I came here today for the first time in 2 years due to some past bad experiences. My friend and I were honestly blown away by the service, drinks and food. Chad the manager and Bri our server were absolutely top notch. The amazing service and food made our day. As a fairly newly diagnosed celiac, I am always looking for places I can eat at that take it seriously and actually care, brewhouse definitely has that covered. And the vibe was awesome! My bestie and I were due for a Moms night out and we are so glad we came here. Thank you to Bri and Chad for helping make our girls night a fantastic time and a beautiful core memory! I usually rave about CBH but this location was really disappointing . Service was terrible friendly enough but waited forever to order and then waited forever for our food. Appetizers should come before the meal not 5 seconds before the meal. Ordered the donair and it was mush and I m a east coaster so I know a good donair. The fries with my meal way over cooked and greasy and the wife ordered chicken caesar salad. Chicken was dried out and very little dressing. When we were done we waited 20 minutes for the bill. Know it s was a bit busy but felt like we were being ignored. Too bad I ll stick to the Fort location.

I came here with coworkers on a Saturday night. It was pretty dead but there were still some people. Drinks were cold, steak was a little too salty and the cut wasn t great but it was pretty cheap so I can t complain.

TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT! Me and my fiance were gonna go sit in to have some dinner. Well when we walked in we were met with a sign saying If you are unable to go up our stairs please call the number. Well we tried tye number 4 times on my phone wouldnt dial out and 2 times on my fiances phone still wouldnt dial. Well we than proceeded to call the store when someone finally picked up we were told unless were handicapp we have to sit upstairs! Before we could explain that my fiance has bad knees and cant walk up the stairs they hung up. There were other people sitting downstairs.... Such a disappointing experience.

My visits at Brew house are usually hit and miss but the last time I went there with a friend our service was spectacular! Nothing unique happened but the server was so kind, attentive and friendly! Thank you PAIGE will definitely be back!

Had an appy, and a drink on the outdoor patio. Paige was our server. She was engaging, pleasant and had outstanding customer service. Wonderful menu variety! Wings and dry rub ribs were excellent. Also recommend the grilled cheese brisket sandwich. Server was delightful. Highly recommend!

Three of us stopped by Sunday evening on the upper deck, service was initially good but then our waitress disappeared for about 30-45 minutes. Eventually we managed to flag down someone else to help us. One of us found out that the seat cushion they were using was soaked and totally soaked their pants, the manager? noticed as they were passing by, but all they did was have a good laugh about it and didnt try to make it right. Overall pretty poor service.

Kate made my experience at this brewhouse excellent! She was not only pleasant but very attentive. I have food allergies and she was knowledgeable and overall a delight to be around. Our food and drinks were great and we will definitely be back.

Our Fastpitch team booked a preordered dinner for 40 people between games. The first game ran late but not only did they still serve delicious food, but they had it coming out as we were arriving, all hands on deck style! Because of their extra attentiveness, we were able to feed our team and families, enjoy some AC on an extremely hot day and STILL got back to the diamond in great time! I will ONLY book my teams at this location and any other Canadian Brewhouse where we are from now on. Seriously superb and organized service! Thank you Alex!

We showed up at 6pm on a playoff game night not knowing it was a game night. The hostess was surprised herself that a four person booth was available and sat us down. The place was completely packed and Game 2 of the Oilers v Stars series just started. Despite the chaos the food and service were actually all very good. It was obviously all hands on deck for them and everyone seemed to be doing a good job. They did run out of forks at one point and my steak showed up with no utencils but they got it sorted right away. Our server Chloe was also super friendly with the kids and was spot on with both taking our orders and coming by to ask periodically how everything was going, not an easy thing to do when its a full house. In all a very good dining experience and the kids loved chatting with Chloe and immersing in the game atmosphere. Kid-friendliness: Server brought out the kids meals asap knowing how impatient kids are and got them both desserts with to go containers. Well thought out.

Dont waste your time on the donair poutine it had no donair meat and three chunks of cheese. The chicken Cobb salad didnt have dressing so that was a great dried out salad. The regular poutine only had a sprinkle of shredded cheese on it. The only thing half decent was the chicken wrap but it to tasted dried out with next to nothing for sauce. The portions were super small. We took the kids to McDonalds after as they were still hungry.

Wednesday Wing Night go to!

Like most restaurants, hosts run the show. They did an amazing job managing the hectic oilers game 6 and deserve recognition.

Really great location and awesome staff.

It took them 3 tries to get me the correct wings. Then when we got them rushed they were cold and chewy. When we got the bill to pay there was an extra beer. The manager took the order of wings off and the extra beer, but had we not noticed we would have paid. Just terrible. Sure hope I don t get sick.

I had an order of free nachos in the app to celebrate my birthday and so had a bunch of family come out for a dinner with me; that was thee worst decision and I spent the night apologizing to my family for asking them to come. We got seated for 645 as a table of 8. It took literally 45 min before drinks were at the table and you just hoped you didn t need a refill because it likely would not have shown up. We order the nachoes and AN HOUR AND 15 Min later, they arrive with the rest of the food? Apparently they didn t understand that we asked twice for them to come first, as an appy for the table? We had three kids with us, they were starving in the time it took for food to come. When we asked for plates for the nachos and silverware to eat, 6 soaking wet (literally puddles of soapy water running off them onto the table) were put down, I had to ask for a rag, and 5 (FIVE) min later, a stack of napkins is thrown on the table. And for 8 people, we were given FOUR FORKS. I guess we were meant to share?? And we were supposed to ask for a knife separately?? I don t understand that logic The Canadian burger so soggy, the whole bottom half the bun was falling apart, resulting in having to eat it like a mushy stew. The floor manager came over after we had asked for the bills to apologize that she thought she could work the shift herself and then they got slammed . Define slammed. There were a tonne of waitresses and bus staff the place had empty tables and chairs galore but maybe that s slammed? Offered dessert no thanks: supper was sub par, and what should have been a relaxing evening out, turned into a three hour mess. Kids are tired and we are now beyond the time they are permitted to be there per your door. So thanks for the half hearted attempt to throw something our way, but way too little and a lot too late. Will certainly not be back as there are way more places who are family friendly, understand that I want to spend my hard earned money in a place where I m not having to stand in the path of a waitress who is avoiding eye contact when I m trying to ask if I can have a fork to eat with Save yourself your time, money, and patience and go elsewhere!

Stopped in to try my luck on the VLTs. Searched VLTs near me on maps and The Canadian Brewhouse in St. Albert came up. I was greeted as I walked in the foyer by a server who was already tending a table of customers. Note: there was signage at the front door saying please seat yourself. It was rather embarrassing replying Im looking for the VLTs in front of a family having dinner. Her reply was Oh we dont have VLTs and she went right back to talking to the family. I stated Google maps says you do. She glanced over her shoulder at me, didnt say a word and went back to talking to the family. I wont post her name. Management should be more mindful of the people they hire.

Had a bad experience with a rude waitress here a few weeks ago, but the manager was very attentive and emailed me about my previous review the same night. The manager made us reservations for tonight. We had Kennedy as our server and she was very quick with our service, brought napkins and utensils to the table beforehand, checked in throughout the night and didnt make us feel rushed. They even gave us a discount due to our previous experience. Dietary restrictions: Good gluten free options available

Canadian Brewhouses across western Canada have a hit or miss meal reputation. But that Prime Rib in St Albert was a hit. Was delicious

I went to Canadian Brewhouse St. Albert to have lunch and watch an English premier league soccer game. I asked the server if I can watch the game and they said they ve never heard of it, then they tried using the remote to find the game but couldn t even find the channel guide. They said they will check with their manager Sammy but No one seemed to care and the manager wasn t able to sign in. It was horrible service as I just sat there with the server not even bothering to pay me any attention. The Manager s name is Sammy and they never even showed up or tried to be of assistance. This person should not be in charge of a business. How this location stays in business with this level of service is mind boggling. Manager Sammy shows up 30 mins later to say sorry we don t have that but if I have an account I can log in and watch the game. A complete lack of ownership of the situation. The manager should have escalated this after 5 mins. Horrible experience. If I could give zero stars I would.

Went her tonight and tried a few items off thier feature menu, cheese dip and hot dog was very good. Brianna our server was outstanding and ensured all oir needs were met. Food is good so is the service, however they jacked the prices up pretty high, I get inflation but I cant justify $21 for a taco salad, basically other than the appetizers nothing under $20

Keenan was amazing! My friends and I went in for trivia but their speakers were broken. So he went to the back and made his own questions and printed all 6 of us off a sheet. And then graded it and gave the winner a treat on him. So above and beyond. Kennedy C and justice were our server and they were amazing!!! Definitely will be back

April 1, 2024: Ordered the nachos and sad to see it is half the size it used to be and price went up to $24.99! Rip off Tip: Download their app and get a free order of cheesy, yummy garlic fingers with either marinara or donair sauce for dipping (I prefer the marina - donair sauce was too sweet). I agree that the food is way too expensive for what it is. A small burger with fries served in a fancy box is not worth $17. We visited on a Thursday for the $5.99 special but we were an hour early so we ordered off the menu. Hubby got beef dip which he said was okay but the au jus was weak and lacking depth. Both meals were around $16-17. Not worth it. I observed alot of staff just standing around and I thought their call system is unnecessary. I also dont see the reason to serve fries in a cardboard box as if this is a fast food joint. Just seems like an added expense to me. If they get rid of the call system, box for fries and cut down staff, they could reduce prices and give customers a better value. I do like their large selection of beer on tap though...but thats about it. If I was to ever return, it would only be for the weekly special which kicks in after 4pm. Went here for the Valentines day special which was two 7oz steak, mash,.veg and 1xbottle of wine for $45. The portions were kind of small

Service was horrendous, our server Brianna, was always confused when taking orders, and billing. Dirty glasses with residual Caesar spice around the rim. Drinks took 20-25 minutes on the average to arrive, if they even arrived at all. Food was mostly on time, outside a few people who waited 40 minutes for their dishes. I get that serving is hard when busy, but this was a whole other level of hardship that was beyond shocking and just became comical after a while.

Dont book for groups over 6 people, they cannot handle it. Went out with 14 friends to watch the battle of Alberta and celebrate a birthday on Saturday night. The reservation was made days in advance giving them plenty of time to accommodate the booking. They had nothing in stock from beer, ciders, nor their food special. Drinks were a minimum 20 minute wait per person (if you even got your drink at all). Our server was clearly overwhelmed and never had any support from other staff or management. 10/10 if youre looking to be disappointed. Brewhouse used to be the place to go to. Never again will it be considered for a group outing.

We just ordered dinner on skip and it was delicious. Very filling. Thank you for the free item. The Perogy was very tasty. Thank you CBH! Great Service!

We were in last week and had such an awesome time, thanks to John and his exceptional character and fun service!! He made everything that much better!

Im getting tired of the lack of service here. We arrived and our drink orders were taken and we waited 40 minutes for our drinks. Waited another 40 for our orders to be taken. The service has gone drastically downhill. I understand when its busy as 2 of my daughters are servers, but it wasnt busy. The food is good though. It was a simple breakfast.

Great time always

We initially intended to grab take out from the brew house given our initial experience the week prior which was mediocre, but once we arrived and met Justy s at the bar, we knew we had to stay. There are few words to describe having Justys as our server/bartender on our last night in St. Albert. He is incredibly personable, knowledgeable about the menu and recommendations, and brought an energy unlike any we ve encountered on our travels. We ve been driving across the country for two months, stopping regularly, and Justys played a large part in making our St.Albert trip so memorable. There ought to be more emphasis on personalities like Justys in all spaces, and thank you for making our last night so wonderful!

I ordered some crispy Cactus cuts for pick up. And was told 15 minutes. I arrived in 25 minutes and they still were not ready. Then I went to pay and the bartender was extremely not interested in processing my payment. I could ve probably walked out without paying and nobody would ve even noticed. Now let s talk about the cactus cuts. Half of them are not even cooked. They re supposed to be crispy and they re moist and soggy. Definitely not crispy. I ended up throwing them in the garbage. I definitely will not return to the Saint Albert location.

My wife and I stopped in for a quick beer and nachos tonight after the gym. Our server was friendly and attentive and the nachos were decent. We didn t finish the nachos so asked for a box to pack them up. When we lifted the paper and nachos out of the keg serving dish, we were disgusted to find dirty napkins from what I would assume was the last customers order. Regrettably I didn t raise this with the server since we were tired and grossed out and just wanted to go home. Another reviewer commented about dirty cutlery and questionable hygiene, and after this experience I too am wondering about how clean everything else is.

We ordered through skip....the food was gross. They forgot our kids chicken strips as well as my husbands fish and chips meal. The kids burger sliders and tator tots were disgusting as well. For the amount of money we spent I would definitely not recommend.

First time ordering from this location. Dry ribs were absolutely amazing, As well as the Buffalo chicken wrap.Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Came to have a birthday dinner for a family friend. We had 5 people but were seated in the far corner at a table for 4 with a chair added at the end, understandable if busy but it was not busy and the waiter made no accommodation I had to just sit at a different table across from everyone. Then through out the meal we seen the waiter maybe 2 times then crickets by the time we were done, we actually had to Flagg a whole other waiter over to get our bill paid and get an ice tea that we asked our actual waiter for 25 mins before. Then our waiter appears for payment, as soon as we paid her she says okay thank you! Turns around and leaves right away without asking if we needed any containers for the plenty of food left over. Don t get me started on the food, got the crispy chicken sliders and it tastes like the chicken was left in the fryer for to long and absorbed all the grease. Then the owner comes over to ask for all of our ID s after we had our meal and sat down. Definitely the last time I ll be here. Would not recommend to anyone, there s so many other nice restaurants that deserve your time and money.

Stopped at the Brewhouse for lunch on December 28, 2023 myself and my 2 daughters. We always liked the restaurant the food is always good. The place was busy we sat ourselves at a table by the bar, we sat for at least 20 minutes without so much as a server or anyone even acknowledging the fact we were even there. We were never offered a menu or anything. We decided to leave and went across the street to another restaurant had a great lunch at a restaurant I probably would never of gone to but will definitely frequent again so thank you for that.

Love this place. Come check it out. Staff is amazing. Food is spot on.
