Food is not authentic Thai food, but it is plentiful if not just a little bland, if you were expecting Thai, this is NOT that.

Update: showed up on a Sunday at 12:40 and they re closed even though their hours are 12:30-2:30. Went for my sisters birthday supper and the whole family loved it! We shared their pork spring rolls and green onion cakes which were great! My bf and I had the chicken Pad Thai and chicken chilli paste stir fry, both were delicious and we ll definitely go back! Vegetarian options: Every dish can be made without meat Dietary restrictions: They have gluten and dairy free options Parking: Small front parking lot, but more spaces in back Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs, unsure of ramps in front as we went through the back

We sat at table for 15 minutes before getting water & menus. We waited 20 minutes for them to bring my husband s meal, then 20 more for my daughter s & my meal. Meals were slow, disjointed but tasted very good.

Great Thai restaurant! The food was full of flavor and just the right amount of spice. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely a place to visit!

Came here with my family on a Monday evening. We were seated, had to wait a while before getting menus. After more waiting the server came back to take our order and by this point I had to ask for water because we didnt get any. After another long wait we finally got our food, but my sister, who ordered just one bowl of soup, didnt get hers. By now its been close to an hour after we ordered and we decided it wasnt worth waiting for. I had to leave the table and ask the server to cancel the soup and give us our bill, because they didnt even check on us the entire time. And even when they brought our bill there was no effort to compensate us, not even an apology. As a food service worker myself, I understand that longer wait times are to be expected when its busy. But a sit-down restaurant like this needs to also be concerned with hospitality. I only ever saw two people waiting tables at this time and I could tell they were understaffed for how busy it was. And I dont know the exact circumstances that made it that way, but considering the entire experience there still could have been more done. Tldr, never coming back here again.

Amazing food every time. Always so nice and hot, good prices and friendly staff. We know we can always count on getting a good meal here. Multiple family members have celiac and so many of their dishes are gluten free and dairy free already, and some can be gf with adjustments. We dine in and also get take out sometimes and come in from out of town we love it so much.

Overall great Thai food! Loved the decor, but service was a little bare given we were one of two families in the restaurant at dinner time.

They have amazing food but showed up at 730 pm still there says their open until 830 and they closed awful drive 45 min to come eat here

very good - could be spicier

I went here yesterday with my boyfriend and OMG it was the best fried rice i ve had since moving to Canada. (I moved 3 years ago btw and I have fried rice at least once a month) I asked for spicy beef fried rice and i found usually at places they never achieve the spiciness I like. This place blew my mind the flavors, the spice, they kept my water filled up. It was such a fantastic experience and everyone was so nice. I asked for it spicy and I was also given some chili flakes which I added as well. The portions were amazing I was able to take home almost a full to go container after eating till I was full. Please if you re crazy about fried rice like me try their beef basil fried rice . I hope this business thrives because they truly deserve it!!

Every dish was delicious Service was fast and good. The food and service dont get better than this! We had the Pad Kha Thi, Panang Curry, and Tom Yum Pad Thai. They were all outstanding, and the portions were very generous. The atmosphere is casual, and the staff are super friendly. We went on a Friday and it was packed, so make reservations if you go during peak hours.

I had ordered a large variety and quantity of food as my family was visiting from Toronto for the Family Day holiday. The food was excellent; every single dish that I had ordered was flavourful and so yummy. When I was placing the order, Kira was very helpful in making suggestions, however, what really impressed me was that she was honest and didn t ask me to order more food than necessary. I so appreciated that. The variety was great and the quantity and quality (freshness) was perfect. Songkran is my new go-to Thai restaurant. Thank you for making our dinner special!

Went for supper with 5 people and we had appetizers that were great. Ordered 4 dishes and the portions were large enough we had plenty of leftovers. The green curry is my favorite.

The Food Is the Star! Our first visit and the delicious, well prepared and presented food explains why the place was so busy. We shared the Tamarind Chicken Stir Fry, Coconut Rice and Spring Rolls and found them exceptionally good! We could overlook the rushed, somewhat impersonal service, basic surroundings and the feeling that we should be quick. It is all about the food. The food was decent and plentiful but it was lacking the balance of Thai cuisine s five main flavours: salty, sweet, sour, bitter, and spicy. The pad thai wasn t made with the requisite flat rice noodle which threw me for a loop and it didn t include pieces of tofu or chicken in addition to the shrimp I requested. The service was also imbalanced; the young male server was constantly refilling our water glasses (thank you!) while the mature woman who works there placed the bill down on our table without a single word. She didn t ask if we wanted dessert or anything else maybe she was ready for the day to be over? It was a busy Saturday night at Songkran and it appears to be a popular spot amongst families in St. Albert. That said, my first choice for Thai food will continue to be the incomparable Noi Thai in central Edmonton where the flavour of the food truly sings.

We swung by to try it out since we were in St. Albert for an errand and we were pleasantly surprised. Dont let the exterior fool you. It may look a bit shabby compared to the surroundings, and the tables and booths inside arent the newest, but the food was great. Since it was in St. Albert, I was skeptical about the authenticity of the food but my skepticism quickly disappeared when I saw the menu. They had photos for most of the items, which really helped with our ordering process. We ended up getting a pad thai, red curry, coconut rice, and tom yum gung soup. The tom yum was a little sweet for my taste but still good. The pad thai and curry were great. Portion size was a plus as well. If we ever are in St. Albert and crave some Thai, well definitely return.

a simple and casual place with large, for value portions! tempura is definitely quite fried and oily, with not a lot of shrimp in the shrimp tempura and lots of vegetables but we highly recommend the chicken dishes! chicken pad see and other noodle dishes! spring rolls were crunchy and tasty and the chicken satay was amazing!

They have quite a lot on the menu and majority of the dishes we had were great! Their portion is pretty big! We ordered enough for dinner and leftovers for lunch! I highly recommend their Tom Yum soup and mango sticky rice!!!

Made a reservation the night before. It was a group of 7. Friends from out of town. So I wanted to make sure we got a table. Got there and was told I had no reservation. Food was really good, but the service wasnt great. 6 out of 7 people at our table got their food. I asked the server about my sons food. Which was only plain yellow noodles. Because he has issues with food textures/sensitivies. Everyone was almost done by the time my son got his food. I would like to go back because we all have off days. It was just disappointing. Next time I will confirm my reservation the afternoon of.

This place had VERY good dishes: the almond stir fry with beef was perfectly cooked, not over-spiced (or under-spiced), and the veggies were perfectly crispy. The only Mark against this place: the almonds were stale. My wife had the pad thai tom yum, which was all about lemon grass amd texture, really tasty. My son had beef noodle soup was great, star anise showed, noodles were perfect, and the beef was near perfectly cooked. Giving 5 stars because 4 arent enough. Will try again.

Songkran is back! We picked up our favourite dishes to go and were delighted with the same delicious flavours! I am a big fan of their red curry always served with fresh veggies and your choice of meat.

This is one of my favorite spots for authentic Thai food. The prices are incredible and portioned are massive. Everything you try will be packed full of flavors. My daughter was offered a lunch out with me and chose this place. The staff are all so sweet to us

I used to absolutely love Songkran. My absolute favourite restaurant in St Albert. Unfortunately, after Kanya passed, it seems lots has changed. I ve been three times and was so sadly disappointed. What I would give for her pad Thai recipe. It s really sad as this restaurant used to be outstanding. I m still going to try a few more selections off their menu and see if I can find a few reasons to keep going. I wish all the best to the new owners as the shoes to fill are massive.

Their food is seriously delicious! Best pad thai and yellow curry weve ever had. The staff is so kind and friendly and the place is so welcoming and comfortable. It is super kid friendly, with many delicious menu options and they even adapt the dish for your little one. Mine doesnt like sprouts. We will def come back!

Great Thai food! The best Thai Panang Curry I have tried so far in Edmonton/St. Albert that bring back the memory when I was living in Thailand. The mango sticky rice is good too, among of coconut is right on. More important is they have a few items that you cant find in other Thai restaurant here in Edmonton/St. Albert. I will definitly go back again. Hopefully the quality is consistent.

Ordered takeout from here for the first time and we will certainly order again. We had pad Thai and green curry, both were very delicious. You could tell it was made with fresh ingredients. We are looking forward to trying more dishes off the menu. Very happy with our experience

Not quite what I remember it to be.. interior dining area is dated and well worn, paint splatter on the table we were at (I assume from a recent paint job?) Went for dine in lunch, selected a couple soups from their lunch menu. Mostly broth with limited meat, very little veggie. Broth was tasty, just not a lot of substance for a 16 bowl of soup. Disappointing because prior experience was not like this. May try again, but definitely different menu items. On the plus side, service was bang on, friendly and understanding.

Best Pad Thai I ever tasted! A really good/friendly/fast/fun server. I didn t get his name but it was the older gentleman. Setting and ambiance are also good. Parking is a little tight, but you ll still have the best night.

I have traveled from one end of Thailand to the other and both sides. I have taken numerous cooking classes in Koh Samui. In my opinion, this restaurant made the best Pad Thai I have ever tasted. The other dishes were equally good. The owner and cooks were typical Thais, wonderful.

Regulars! PLEASE CALL ME OUT if this was out of character for this restaurant!! We ordered the following: Green Onion Cakes, Shrimp Salad Rolls and Teriyaki Beef Stir Fry. Green Onion Cake was OVERCOOKED. Outside was so crispy it was not enjoyable in any way. Shrimp Salad Rolls litteraly tasted like WATER. No flavour. The four of them were stuck together and ripped open when pulling them out. I will also keep my comment regarding the peanut sauce.... Teriyaki Beef Stir Fry was OKAY. Simple flavours... Close to bland. We were looking forward to try this restaurant due to the great reviews! I have to be honest: one of the worst experience Ive ever had.

This place is a total gem is your having that craving for yummy curry. The menu is packed with a number of options for any tastebuds. My 9 years old son who tends to be picky ordered and enjoyed the kids noodle while I dead and went to heaven with the yellow curry and coconut rice. To my surprise my son curious took one bite of the curry I was eating and he also fell in love. This is the first time everything i and we had ordered he loved and ate everything in sight. He kept reminding me how much he loved the restaurant and the food was all way too delicious to stop eating. I was forced to take an additional order of our favourites home as we couldn t get enough. This is such an amazing spot and the server is so kind and helpful. Definitely my favourite spot and place to feed my curry addiction. Enjoy!
