Good place for good authentic thai food :)
Excellent food awesome service friendly staff can't believe it took so long to find this little gem of a restaurant ! Pad Thai is amazing here
Delicious thai food! We ordered curry, noodles, and soup. Everything had amazing flavours!
Excellent authentic food, wonderful service, and a great experience. This place is a family owned and operated treasure, highly recommended.
Order #49!! Came here to do some work and grab lunch. The place was clean and quiet. The service was friendly, helpful, and when I asked for recommendations, I was delighted by what I received.
We came in early on a Friday afternoon so we were the only ones here and it was quiet. Of course the service was excellent as was the food. My husband had pad guay teaw lad nha(#49). I had green curry fried rice (#54) and granddaughter had green curry (#42). So flavorful and delicious. The portions are large and we had to take some home in recyclable take out containers. Highly recommended. We will be back.
I ordered delivery and paid 25 dollars (before fees and such) for this portion of curry. Price aside, I asked for medium spicy and there was just a huge layer of chili oil on top. Every time I mixed it in it would rise to the top immediately. I don't know how to eat this without getting sick, there's so much oil on this. Every other Thai place I've ordered spicy at adds chili flakes or sauce to increase the heat. I've never seen any place just dump oil on top. Maybe avoid unless you're eating in and can see the food you get.
One man show. He does it all in an incredible amount of time. First time here. Was a very good experience. My family has never has THAI FOOD. Wow they fell in love.
Came here for Valentine's day, it was very quiet and romantic. Ambience is exquisite. Service was wonderful and and personable. Food was amazing! Soup had so much flavour! Great Valentine's experience!!!
A must go to place, if you like Thai food you will love this place great food and friendly service.
Worst Thai food I have ever had. Also found a metal bristle in the food and did not receive what we ordered. Strongly not recommend.
Good restaurant.
Very cosy and comfortable. I had the gren curry lunch special and the food was delicious. Felt very authentic. Will definitely come back.
Best place to get great quality authentic thai food.
Underwhelming food, made with no love.
Date night with my wife! Nice spot, looks like family run! Parking: Strip mall Food : 4/5 |
Food was amazing! Small serving staff, but they were friendly and helpful. Good prices as well.
We love coming to dine in and often order take out from this wonderful little restaurant. The food has always been excellent. Two generation family owned and operated restaurant. Cozy. Wonderful people. Highly recommend them! God bless! Kid-friendliness: They gave us a high chair for our toddler.
The green curry is usually a bit too watery for my liking, but their tom yum is always perfect!
The best Hot and Sour soup I have ever eaten.
Did not care for the curry or bubble tea I had.
Tom Yum song for two. I cant adequately describe how miserable it was. Ive eaten it all over the place in Thai/South East Asian restaurants and Ive had excellent versions, less so, and now this. Brutal. Its baffling how terrible it was.
Very good food. I had the Thai soup and it was very flavourful. I will definitely be coming back.
Solid little Thai and southeast Asian restaurant. Large menu with lots of traditional dishes. Very friendly service. Good portion sizes at reasonable prices.
Awesome food
Absolutely delicious
My first time in this place...waw is a great surprise...excellent food and service Will back again Food
Always good food here.
The food was unreal. Fresh and delicious. Definitely get the salad rolls when you go!!
Amazing food and service. The owner is kindest!
Authentic flavor! So yummy! Such a fantastic family business.
Family run, very friendly. Food was great! Vegetarian options: There were quite a few on the menu Parking: Its in a strip mall so lots of spots Kid-friendliness: When we were there, the family that runs the place had their baby there so definitely kid friendly
This had to be the worst meal I ve had in my life. The appetizers were straight from Superstore. The manager admitted they were and were frozen and not handmade. Inedible. The main dish was a few tiny shrimp with pieces of hard red pepper and carrots. No taste at all. The coconut rice was not authentic creamy coconut rice, it was dry steamed rice. Absolutely disgusting. I honestly do not know how this rip off restaurant is still in business. Disgusting meal for over $80. Prison slop.
We usually go to Songkran (which is excellent), but they are presently closed, so we thought that we d try Thai Mekong. A mistake. The salad rolls and coconut rice was good, but the satay skewers had very little chicken on them, and the peanut sauce provided for both was terrible. The pad thai was marginal and the green curry was watery and not flavourful. We won t be back.
TL:DR Tasty AF Fantastic. Simply fantastic. Tried over half the menu over the years and its all good. I especially appreciate the unpretentious atmosphere as well as some of the most genuinely friendly, professional service. If they delivered Id never cook. You cant last as long as they have in a small venue like that if you dont produce quality.
One of our favourite restaurants in the Edmonton region! Try the salad rolls, the peanut sauce which accompanies them is wonderful!
Great place, my favourite Thai restaurant in the St Albert/Edmonton area. Really nice people own it (family business) and offer great service. Food quality is excellent.
Checked out this restaurant last night. The food was absolutely amazing. The reason for not giving 5 stars was the portions were a little small for the price and the restaurant could use a good deep clean. Otherwise everything else was great. Lovely staff too.
Amazing loved everything we got!
Good service and food. My husband and I will be back again.
Amazing Pad Thai! Very hospitable and friendly staff. Very clean and authentically decorated. Nice dining experience! Will definitely be returning
Good tasting food, reasonable prices, and great service.
Very friendly service, original Thai and laos food, peaceful ambious will be my new goto in St Albert.
Sooo yummy!
Delicious everytime! 10/10 recommend
Very good, very authentic flavours, excellent service, terrible questionable meat!
If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered over $100 worth of food for delivery through doordash from this place to be delivered to a hospital, the food (which sucked) came, but no utensils were included. Called them to complain and was asked if I can send someone to pick it up, which I pointed out was ridiculous bc I had the food delivered to the hospital because I could not leave. Do not order from this place if you expect competency or any form of customer service. Definitely do not order if you expect good food l.
Good food, quiet but super cute. I think its the best Thai in St Albert.
The food was really good and the service was great.
Not good. Thought Id try another Thai Restaurant in St Albert. Bad idea. Should have stuck with my regular place. Tried 5 dishes not one was good and coconut rice was flavorless. And no I didnt have covid.
All I can say is always fresh and delicious. One of the best Thai places I ve been too and definitely the best one in the greater Edmonton area! The owners are polite and very friendly. Definitely my go to for takeout!
Tucked away, but an excellent little restaurant. Friendly, efficient, with the most important bit covered: great food.
Always a great experience. Cute, quiet, family owned restaurant.
Loved the food. Very helpful and pleasant staff as well. Highly recommend.
We love this place. I used to go all the time in high school and then moved away. Now 10 years later, I brought my husband for the first time. Best Thai food we have eaten (and we eat alot of Thai food). Also we had great service while dining in. We will definitely be back soon.
BEST THAI FOOD AROUND. This is a small family business but their food has big flavour. The menu is extensive and it tastes like homemade Thai food...because it is. They are true to their craft.
Food is delicious, staff is friendly. If I could eat here every night I would!
Best pad Thai in Edmonton. Salad rolls very fresh and perfect size.
Fantastic!
Salad rolls are my favorite. Food is fresh and full of flavor. Great family run restaurant!!
Amazing food & big portions. Super nice staff. The glass noodles are nice and thin. Will be back for the fried banana and vanilla ice cream
Delicious!
Yummmmmm
Weve been coming here a long time and food is always great. I wish they didnt give such small portions of coconut rice because we eat a lot of it. Best Thai restaurant in St. Albert for sure!
Just had the most amazing Tom Yum soup with coconut milk ever! Highly recommend!!
Ordered take out and the staff was extremely friendly over the phone. Loved the green coconut curry! The pad Thai was good, but I wasn t big on the stir fried sukiyaki, but still tasty. Would order again!
Best Thai restaurant Ive been to! Amazing and kind staff, quick service, and great portions. Loved it.
Not the type of place you would expect as a tourist. Mostly caters to locals food was really good
Love the food and service! We usually get this every 2 weeks. It never disappoints.
This is my favourite Thai restaurant! I order the Thai green curry with coconut rice, every time, and it never disappoints. I have tried recreating this dish many times at home and it s never compared, so I keep coming back. It s not too creamy either, which I prefer. The other dish we love is the red curry. Both are made vegan for us, which is awesome they can accommodate. Sister in law had the green curry with chicken and loved it as well. Anyways after years of coming here thought I would share this recommendation and give a shout out for the fresh amazing food Thai Mekong serves. Well done!
First time having Thai food. It was so good. Fast and friendly staff. I will definitely be going back. The mango bubble tea is awesome.
Great food and service!!
Love it
Each dish we tried was amazing! We ordered coconut rice, cod, pork, curry and a chicken dish. They were equally delishious! Everything was fresh and left the palette very satisfied. Definitely recommended!
Some of the food was great but some was pretty bad. Guy was friendly. The place feels a bit rundown and needs a reno. Especially the washroom
Very good meals here. Always enjoy the food here and a quick Chang of Singha beer!
The BEST pad Thai. Huge portions (they re so big I can never finish it, who doesn t love leftovers) and the price is awesome. The owners are so sweet & the service is great.
Great Thai food. Pad Thai was awesome
Quiet, calming place for an intimate meal. The service is great, but the food is even better! Prices aren t bad, but portions could be a little bigger on a few items.....but that s only probably because you want more!! Lol! I HIGHLY recommend the Tom yum soup and the red curry!! Hidden gem for sure. Help fill this place up and keep it around!
So good!!!
Yummy :D
Service always good, food is delicious and quick
Great food....always. You will not be disappointed. Service and staff are great.
Thanks !
Best Wonton soup Ive ever had! This restaurant is a hidden gem and the food is simply fantastic! Service is also amazing!
amazing. yep its basic, but loved that..brought memories back to my fave Thai Restaurants. the food was amazing, the Pad Thai was huge, actually more then I needed (but was so good but I did eat it all)...and the ddep fried banana and ice cream was pleasant as well...well back again and again
Delicious, and super friendly staff.
Food was small portion for price, and green curry and coconut rice were very bland. Pad Thai was ok, other places I ve been have been better.
Amazing food!! Highly recommend! Try the pumpkin soup!
Excellent Thai food! Our go to spot for Thai food. Personal favourite is They Green Curry Chicken A+++
I love the pad Thai in Thai Mekong Restaurant
I ve known the owner and his sons for quite a few years now as I used to work next door to them. Nicest people around and their food has always been amazing! Love supporting a local business such as this especially when it s this good.
Very good Thai food. We were eating early and we saw lots of people getting takeout so it seems to be a pretty popular place. The wait staff was very curteous and pleasant.
Possibly one of the best restaurant Ive visited, delicious food and prices are OK. I dont know what they put in their sweet and sour soup but it tastes really good! 5 stars all the way.
As always so very delicious and the service fantastic!
Love this place sooo much! No need to go to edmonton if you want amazing Thai. Great service by lovely people as well
Spectacular food, great atmosphere, and a staff who are absolutely amazing. Great service, and great people
Very slow service with average Thai fare. Portions are a bit on the small side.
I love this quaint Thai place. The service is quick the ingredients fresh and very flavorful dishes wonderful presentation, decorum is elegant yet simple and comfy, its a hidden gem worth going out of my way to enjoy.
Food was good but I felt it was a little over priced. We had three courses. Tom yum coconut milk soup, green curry soup and a pad Thai. The food was good but there are better places in edmonton with similar prices and bigger portions.
Ordered the beef pad Thai. Very fresh and good sized portion. Tastes great. Service was great as well!
Best authentic Thai food. Owners do the cooking and serving. I always go when in St. Albert.
Very good food. Very good atentive service .I would eat here again
Very tasty as always..
I ordered green curry with coconut rice. Tasted good but such a small portion.
I should give it a 5.. Good food, tastes great, good sized portion at reasonable price.
Great service and great food
2 star only.
Authentic food, good atmosphere to dine at :)
Wonderful service and amazing food!! Highly recommend stopping here
Nice family owned restaurant. Tom Yum soup was really great.
You can tell that only the best quality ingredients are used. The family recipes for the sauces are fantastic. Great little family run restaurant.
Homemade food with great service, family run restaurant
Whenever I am visiting family in St. Albert and we want to go out for dinner, we always come here. The food is excellent, the owner is very hospitable and the atmosphere is just right.
It was a really great meal. Would eat there again tomorrow, and the day after.
Great, as always.
Overpriced, horrible to absentee service and weird portions. My giant bowl of tom yum soup had 1 prawn. They are the cutting edge of a bad restaurant experience.
We have eaten here many times and the food is the best Thai weve ever eaten...including Thailand. Excellent service, fast and delicious. Highly recommend!
Very tasty/fresh food and the best wonton soup I have ever tasted. Only problem is its very over priced. They even charge for hot sauce for take out, but not for dine in .
Awesome food, good atmosphere, good prices, and amazing staff. You have to try their coconut rice.
Love the flavors, and the family. Great job. The roti, salad rolls, Tom Yum soup are some of my favorites.
Love the food, better than my last trip to Bangkok! Casual atmosphere, fair prices. Highly recommended
I got the green curry and coconut rice with a side of roti. The roti was very tastey, but astoundingly greasy, I padded it dry way more than I should have needed to because it was practically dripping. The green curry consisted of two vegetables. Green peppers, and large chunks of mushrooms. The sauce was done pretty well. However considering green curry is supposed to contain primarily red peppers, as well as peas and occasionally other vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, baby corn and more (really depends on the place). This vegetable pallet was very disappointing. The coconut rice was alright. Considering this cost over 30 dollars, I do not believe this is worth it. Ive tried many thai restraunts and this was the most disappointing. Go to either songkran for st.albert or ban thai for edmonton.
I dont think many reviewers of this place have had good Thai food. The food was really mediocre, lacking the freshness and vibrancy of good Thai food. Maybe the usual staff was on vacation or the owners changed.
Always great quality, honestly my favorite Thai dishes are here! Try the crying tiger steak! Amazing!
Favorite Thai restaurant in Edmonton. If you want try, but dont know what to order #49 the Pad Thai is full of flavor and not spicy.
The food was alright, the potatoes and carrots in the curry I had were raw, the coconut rice was over cooked and felt over saturated, and there were barely any noodles in the noodle dish I ordered. The portion sizes were way to small for the large price tag on items. Food came out cold. I was over all disappointed in my visit.
The food was quick, delicious tasting, although the only downsize was the portion size. I also highly recomend having your meal with their thai beer Chang, its my new favorite! Conclusion is I will come again.
Fresh tasty food.
Best Thai in St Albert.
Always a pleasure! Seriously best coconut rice and won ton soup ive ever had, Excellent take-out but such a beautiful decor and nice quiet dining experience also, staff is super personable and charming very enjoyable experience each time!
Always great food!
Overpriced, small portion
