I love the vegan subs here, and bubble tea. The prices are great and the food has good flavour. It’s usually pretty busy here, and seating is limited, so I prefer to come here for a grab and go meal. The staff and owners are friendly, too!
We came here as a last minute due to our usual place being closed. We are sure surprised!!! This little place is a gem! Great food and service, we will definitely be back for more!! We tried the Chicken Noodle Soup and the “Famous” Pork Spring Rolls!! Highly recommended!!!
This tiny spot is nestled in a busy strip mall complex. Loads of parking for your vehicle, but not so much you bums. It boasts 4 small tables and no public washroom. The food though, is fantastic. Both of us got the subs and they hit all the right notes. Nice crispy bread, the veggies were firmand tangy, and the meats Devine. Beware of the paper straws for the bubble tea, bring your own . Will come back again, the food was really great!!!! (But next time I will bring my own straw. )
Ordered take out as I am traveling through town. I have never been so angry receiving an order from a restaurant. This is honestly a scam. Ordered the Tom Yum Soup — it came with no noodles. The soup is 6 mushrooms, a couple cuts of celery, canned tomatoes, and a single shrimp. This was $18. We also ordered the vegetable soup, again it did not come with noodles. I’ve attached a photo of the menu that we ordered from, which lists the soups immediately following the noodle / vermicelli dishes. We called in immediately as it was surely a simple mistake. The woman on the phone was incredibly rude and simply told us “noodles must be ordered additionally”, all the while their menu does not state that anywhere — nor did they ever ask at the time of ordering “would you like to add noodles?”. With zero resolution to any of this, the woman immediately told us “anyway we are closed” and ended the call (around 7:45). Who in their right might would order this, or anticipate it doesn’t include noodles? I have never in my life experienced this from a Vietnamese restaurant. I live in Vancouver and frequent various Vietnamese restaurants weekly, and have spent months traveling in Vietnam. I am in disbelief as to how someone can sell clear broth, canned vegetables, and a single shrimp to a customer for nearly $20 and sleep at night.
I'm reluctant to give away the secret spor for pho in town but this place has hands down the best. From their home.made broth and beef balls to the freshness of the ingredients it is very good and the banh mi subs ate great aswell. Super good alternative to the big sub chains and worth a stop
I am from Vancouver and let me tell you this i have never tried pho amazing as this place . If i can give it more stars i will say its 10/10 . Me and my friend usually order the lemongrass chicken pho or satay beef pho , it is highly recommended if you want a very flavourful pho :)
I tried the lemon grass chicken sub and loved it. If you have ever been to thai tai's in calgary, its better then theirs. Also their taro bubble tea is one of the better ones I've had. Definitely worth checking out. The sub is also a substantial size and loaded with chicken. Very fresh as well.
My son and I ordered beef pho, bun bo hue, and spring rolls. I made the mistake of asking for pho noodles in them, and I got rice noodles instead. The soup was ok, and the portions were very small. Spring rolls sizes were also on a diet and did not come with fish sauce but rather plum sauce in a packet. The garnish(bean sprouts and lime) was old and dried out. There is no washroom in the facility, so beware. The ambiance of the place was very donair like(not to say donair places are dirty or anything). I didn't try the sandwiches, but I did see them getting made, and after seeing that, I would make the trek to Chinatown and get one that will somewhat taste close to a banh mi. This review is strictly of my personal honest experience and not of others. See pictures.

Extremely over priced flavourless food. The mushrooms in my soup had brown chunks on them ( like the weren t washed before cooking with them). Would not come back for the food, but the bubble tea here is good.

Beef satay banh mi had great flavor and a nice fresh crispy bun. Just wish it had more vegetables and ours didn t have jalapeños on it (it wasn t offered when ordering so I didn t know it was an option)

My guy and I came from Beaumont to this gem of a place and the spicy beef satay was a 10/10 coming from a pho fanatic Will drive it everytime.

I ordered a seafood coconut curry soup (somewhat of a special order) and it was perfect! Tasted great and with a good spice, just what I wanted. We also had some shrimp salad rolls with a peanut sauce, so yummy and quite filling. Definitely would recommend this place. Food

They use real broth but add in 75% filler. Its barely pho. Real pho is pure bone broth. Rare meat isnt rare. Good portions tho Food

Food is unbelievably great
Second time ordering a Vietnamese sub from here. Loved it as much as the first time. The bun was nicely toasted so it has a nice crunch but still soft. The fillings were not lacking at all. Perfect quantity of meat and vegetables. So glad there is one in St. Albert. The other two locations (also named Nhon Hoa) I like going to are either downtown or Whyte Ave which is terrible for parking and traffic. In future, I will order another Viet dish so I can really give a true rating of how authentic they are. No picture to show cause I ate half in the car on the way back to work. :) Parking: Lots of free parking in front.

We order from here regularly and are always very happy with our food. Weve had the Pho, green onion cakes, vermicelli bowls and just discovered their wonton soup, all fantastic! Nhu is also very sweet to deal with.

Banh Mi is served warmed. In my experience the Banh mi is always crisp and filling is always fresh.

Best pho I have had. Very flavourful. Staff is kind. Service is quick. I had #34 (Vietnamese beef noodle soup(pho)) and a #41 (pork spring rolls). I would absolutely order this combination again. FANTASTIC! Dining room has only 3 small (4 seater) tables, seems to be a fair amount of take out. Highly recommend!

Got the traditional Banh Mi and was not disappointed, liver was spot on and bread was exactly how a good Banh Mi should be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Will gladly come back again to try the different styles of sandwiches .
I literally wrote no spice on my order and then got a spicy meal. When I called they said they didn t add any spice but their pad Thai sauce has spice in it. I can t even eat it. What a waste. Look closely tiny red chilies all through it.

I am editing my review because this place is still THAT good. If you don t know what you want, get the 5 colour vermicelli (add cilantro) . I always get this and their green onion cakes. Packaging for take out, service, as well as food is a 11/10. 2 1/2 years later and it s still a great place.

We ordered subs from the establishment as a family with young children, eager to enjoy a meal together, understanding that there maybe wait time. We patiently waited for over 30 minutes for 3 subs as other groups of individuals were served before us without any acknowledgment or explanation from the staffs. It was distressing to us that they were prioritized based on their ethnicity, as my family who were waiting longer, was neglected and overlooked. The discriminatory behavior not only goes beyond the basic principles of fairness but also violates the fundamental values of equality and respect. Anyone who chooses to order here, knows that this establishment is really racist. Food quality wise: from bad to average. --- Our family (with a baby) ordered takeout sandwiches from this store and was looking forward to having dinner together. My family waited 30 minutes to buy 3 loaves of bread because the store agreed to sell to Westerners who came later. This is an act of racism and discrimination against Vietnamese people. We will definitely not be back and will tell everyone we know to stay away from this racist store. In particular, the bread is not delicious.
Great Vietnamese Subs everytime. One of the very few locally run and owned restaurants left. The bread is always fresh, the quality is consistent and top notch. Staff are friendly and patience. Staff/owner are friendly and kind!

Surprised this place has a 4.6 rating. Definitely not that good. My spouse got a sub and I got satay beef on rice. I also ordered spring rolls, which I was never given. My husbands sub was pretty good, but my satay beef was fatty, the rice was not cooked properly, the veggies were good. There also may have been a couple small hairs in my food, which may have been wood splinter from the skewers if they were cooked that way. Restaurant was quite dumpy and not the cleanest.
18 dollars for 8 dollars worth of pho, ive never been scammed this hard by a restaurant in my life. Ordered over skip the dishes, never had any contact with store. Got served half a portion anywhere else would serve.
My wife and I really enjoyed this little shop. I had the spicy noodle soup and a Viet. sausage and pulled pork sub while my wife had the Wor Wonton soup. The broth was amazing and so flavorful for both, and the noodles, veggies, and meat were cooked perfectly. If I had one knock on anything, I would say that while the sub was good and the veggies were nice and fresh, it was kinda dry. Nothing that dunking it in my delicious broth didnt fix though. The shop is small with only a couple of tables, so theres not much ambience, but we will definitely visit again.
Best Sandwich ever! I usually go here to get Subs, and this is by far better than getting a Subway! And the price are fair! The quantity of food you get is really solid! Give this place a try and you won t regret it!
This was our second visit & unfortunately, we probably wont be back. We had three different subs & spring rolls. First, the subs are fairly small for the price, the bread was not fresh, the fillings are quite sparse, especially the meat, but including the vegetables that really make a bahn mi stand out in flavour. The spring rolls were surprisingly small but quite tasty. They come with a packet of Wings plum sauce. Not recommended.
Saw the sign for a while and I knew I had to go soon. I was really hungry so I just got the wonton soup as a side with a combo. I knew it would be gooood. But it was amazing. I will be back for both but a big wonton soup next time. Nice staff too! :)

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I ordered the Beef Satay Sub a couple of days ago and I had insane diarrhea and stomach pain after eating it. The diarrhea is gone, but the stomach pain remains. I cant even stand up properly because of how bad the stomach pain is. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!

Tasty authentic food and very well packaged for take out. Usually take out pho wont taste very good. But this place packs the soup in a way that keeps it hot and will not spill all over your car, the noodles didnt get all soggy either. It was flavourful and not artificial / MSG heavy at all. Owner is friendly, store is clean. Glad I decided to try it out, its better than most other viet place downtown but a much easier drive / parking. Will be back for sure.

It is hard to review. It was my first time ordering veitnemise subs. I bought 2 sub and bubble teas. Everything was pretty good except the shredded pork sub. The bun was rock hard and there was almost no meat, which looked like sawdust. I was really disappointed.

Food is pretty good. Sometimes there is a language barrier so make sure you use the numbers on the menu to be sure you get what you order. Not many gluten friendly options. Dairy free is easier to accommodate.

So good that I bought 2 subs, then ate them with my woman. She went in and got 2 more . Try the lemon chicken and beef. Really good job . I didn t get 5 stars because not amazing like sea food pad Thai from syphay with extra sauce but for a simple sandwich really good
First time and won t be the last time... Had the #25 vermicelli bowl with beef & pork and it was delicious. The portion size was perfect and the vegetables were crisp and fresh and the meat was seasoned to perfection.

Ordered a sub. It tasted great but I was surprised by the rubber band that was in it! Brought it to their attention and the lady owner started fighting with her husband (the cook) in Vietnamese. Very loud and right in front of me! She said sorry wont happen next time. I wasnt offered any compensation. Not even a bottle of water. Very unprofessional.
We had vermicelli bowls. Was good fresh food but no washroom available for customers is a little weird. Place could use some cleaning. Not the best Vietnamese I ve had but certainly edible

THE best báhn mì Ive had in the Edmonton area and Ive had so much! Their made-in-house baguettes add to the absolute awesomeness of this place. Best! Never overlook the small places. Trust me, Ive been to many countries and the smaller the place, the better the food...this is no exception. I love this place!

Terrible experience ordering take out today. Ordered ahead online, and had to wait another 45 mins in the restaurant and I was the only one in there. I also received my total from ordering ahead and I had to pay about 25% more at the till which was a surprise. Staff were incredibly disorganized and scattered. I will not be coming back.

Restaurant just opened up in the last month . Very small space so might be best for take out. Thier specialty is Veitnanese subs. I tried the combo lemon grass sub with soup. Presently surprised with all of it. I will be back.

One of the best Vietnamese Subs Ive ever had. The bread was fresh (some can be too crusty) and the chicken satay very nicely flavored. It was tightly wrapped for presentation and didnt leak. Ill be back.
I had the lemongrass chicken sub with a bubble tea and it was AMAZING. Drove all the way from North Edmonton to check this place out and it was worth it! Flavors were on point. Fresh ingredients and quality meat. Lots of vegetarian options too! Friendly service as well, will definitely be back. Only feedback would be to have music playing while you eat

Went for lunch, very friendly and helpful staff. We love to try out beef satay pho or similar and while they didnt have it on the menu, they made us their signature pho and added satay beef. Fantastic and tasty. We will be back!

First time trying it today and I was not disappointed. By far the best place in St Albert to far. As soon as you walk in you are hit by the delicious smells and you can notice how clean the place is. The couple working today was very friendly and polite. I usually don t write reviews but I had to let others now that this is THE PLACE. First time trying Banh Nhon Hoa, wasnt bad but wasnt the best. Things I havent seen in a vermicelli bowls yellow & orange peppers. and items missing lettuce, cucumber, coriander/cilantro or lime. The vermicelli was broken in little pieces and required a spoon to eat. A bit bland in taste.
Eat here! AMAZING FOOD! This place is a must try and will probably be on your weekly take out cravings list. Maybe daily? We love their satay chicken sandwiches, salad rolls, vermicelli bowls and spring rolls. Used to drive to whyte ave location and I m so happy they opened one closer!
Fisrt try here and the food was great! All we had was the pork spring rolls which were super crispy and had an awesome flavor, we also tried the green onion cakes that were some of the best ones weve tried. Will return for the many other dishes that caught my eye!
Tried it once about a month ago, and it immediately became one of my favourite spots in St A. Their chicken satay is AMAZING, and I just ordered one of their iced coffees today... it is easily the best coffee I have ever had in my life. Definitely would recommend this place, not only is the service great, but they have a large variety of good stuff to choose from!! :)

Their vermicelli bowls are amazing-generous portions of meat and noodles and the salad part is always crisp and fresh. The subs are made at time of order on fresh buns and with crispy vegetables. Bubble tea...we weren t too sure at first, but we are now loving them.
