Honestly the couple that run this place are so sweet. It feels like I'm being welcomed into their home 🏡and they just so happen to have dinner ready for me. 🥹 The PHO🍜 is the closest I've had to my friend's mom's home cooking!🔥 no one is better than Mrs. Bui's but this is hands down my fave place.🤗
28 dollars later and I'm writing the review from wendy's. I ordered there summer rolls #46 and a coffee.the main meal consisted of 1 1/4 cup of noodles 4 slices of overcooked beef. Teaspoon of carrots and less then 1/4 cup of lettuce.i read the good and bad reviews. I decided to try this place, my opinion is any good reviews where written by someone who didn't eat there.
I won’t ever go back to this restaurant It is run by an old Vietnamese couple and it looks really “authentic” Asian. (As in bright lights, dirty windows, clutter. I was excited… I thought maybe I had finally found something Authentic in Saint Albert. It would have been a welcome change from all the fast food that dominates the landscape in Saint Albert. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the food. I ordered the satay soup. Satay is typically a rich peanut sauce that originated in Indonesia. Usually the beef is grilled and on a skewer. I was expecting a soup with a rich aromatic flavor of peanuts and spice. But what I got appeared to be just a bowl of bland pho. It was just the typical noodles and some boiled shavings of beef. It wasn’t worth almost $17! My child ordered the meatball soup which was really a small bowl for $7.40 I also ordered grilled beef on rice which was almost $16. The portion size was extremely small. It was perhaps 400 ml of cooked rice with perhaps 150 g of beef that didn’t even look grilled. It looked like they just fried it in a pan. There were a couple pieces of lettuce on the side. Really?? $16 for THIS? Wow Don’t go here We literally had to drive over to the Costco and get a hotdog because we were still hungry.
I have never had a problem with this place. I alway enjoy the food so much. This is the only pho I'll go to as I dont like the flavors of others. Thank you both for always taking care of my food. 100% best ever
You will not find another restaurant in St. Albert, that will feed you this well for this fair of a price. The pho here is incredible and the kitchen has the comfort of home. If you are choosing between Pho Anh Sang, and another option, choose Pho Anh Sang
Ordered skip the vermicelli bowl that I always get from all pho places, couldn’t believe how small the portion was! Don’t think I had even 3 pcs of lettuce or veggies, not to mention bland as hell. Never again
My favourite place to go for Pho. The service is outstanding, every time I come here they make me feel like family. They frequently stay open late if i place an order to go around closing time which is so above and beyond. It’s nice spending your money somewhere that shows you so much appreciation for your business!
What. The. Hell. We just ordered Two Pho's and this place did not have much broth at all. This is half of what a normal serving should be. As a Viet I'm ashamed this restaurant is in business. Barely any soup.
Bland noodles, spring rolls ok
Amazing service
My new favorite
Showed up and found sign on door indicating they were away from Jan.28th to Marth 10th. Next time would be an idea to add message on call in line. Lack of consideration.
Gross
Awesome food from mom and pop shop!
Usually really good pho, but the vermicelli bowl my friend got was cold and the vegetables seemed not very fresh
Pho Anh Sang is our Vietnamese go-to for good food and fast service. They are one of the few open on Mondays and both lunch & supper times. Friendly husband/wife team with tasty bone broth pho soups, vermicelli and hot grill dishes. Kid-friendliness: They have a pho soup for kids $6. My son says its the best broth ever
One of my favorites awesome food, friendly staff. Great service! 10/10 recommend
Underrated restaurant. Quality food at an affordable price.
Had fresh and fried spring rolls and both were delicious.
The Pho is great, owners are really nice.
Great place for a bowl of Pho. One of my favourites.
This place is an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Feels real and not Americanized in any way. There, pho soup is the best!
The lady was friendly but when she got it home the portion of chicken was very tiny on the chicken/rice and roll meal. Maybe an ounce of chicken if that. Taste was ok but ripped off for amount given sorry to say.
Good and Bad, Good being the grilled beef salad roll and peanut sauce, perfection. The bad being the super salty broth and the super salty customer service. Not only kinda rude over the phone, but was looked at with disgust as I paid for cash , two years into the pandemic- figure it out or tell me it s debit/credit only.
I go to a lot of Pho places. This is my favourite by far. Not the most well kept place, Vietnamese soap operas on the TV, ancient cook, food is OK....but, its what I picture a restaurant looking like and feeling like in Vietnam...Love it!!
Yikes. Do not recommend. Restaurant was dirty and smelled of sewer. Food was dry and lacking freshness.
Awesome food!
There isnt a lot of options in St Albert for Vietnamese food, thankfully Pho Anh Sang is good with fair prices.
Not worth the try. Place was dead with piles of dirty dishes and papers everywhere. Man rolled his eyes when I said we were there for dine in. Green onion cake was standard. Pho was the worst Ive tried - salty, small portion, and looked unappetizing.
My go to in St Albert for Pho or Vermicelli Bowls.
We ordered 2 sate phos... there was 0 flavor.. I mean it literally tasted like water with noodles and meat. The portions are tiny as well. Not impressed and wont order from here again.
Very kind owner, good food. I ve been ordering takeout last two weekends, and their pho warms me up so well. Definitely going back!
Went here for a quick bite to eat with a friend, awhile back. It was about an hour before closing time, the place was empty and we wanted it to go. We were handed menus and as we were deciding, I m assuming one of the owners asked us to Hurry up and decide because they re closing up early! which I found extremely rude. After that we just decided to get up and leave.
Truly awful. No flavour, small portions, and got sick multiple times from the food. My review is based on the 3+ chances I gave this place and I will never order from here again.
Ordered pho soup. Beef. Delicious and reasonably priced.
Food was tasty staff were friendly but I received about 1/3 cup of fresh veggies and 10 tiny pieces of chicken. Didnt realize this until I got home. Definitely not as good as other places Ive ordered from a little disappointed
The beef satay soup and wonton soup were great. As were the spring rolls. For sure would go again
Consistently great every time. Might be weird but I love the new clear containers. Keep it up guys. Keep it up.
Place was not kept clean, it was dead with no people and dirty dishes sitting all over the tables. order wasnt correct either.
Not the best Pho i ve been to. I ve tried other Pho in the city which are way better food and ambiance, which this place lacks. I also find this place not too clean and not a very cozy place to eat.
Food is incredible!
Small portions, decent quality food but a little overpriced for what you get. They tried to charge me 75cents for a little chili sauce which if I could eat at the restaurant would have been free, not cool.
Was going to this place for pho for over 7 years, I was a regular ate here a couple times a week. Then the quality slowly went downhill, I got a hair in my summer rolls not once but twice ! The last time I went all the tables were sticky and when I told the owner about it she didn t apologize she got mad at me the customer ! Anyway very sad that such a good customer was treated this way they lost the business of my family, friends and myself for being lazy and not putting the customer first.
The Best Pho in St. Albert
I LOVE THIS PLACE, by far the best pho in edmonton/surrounding area. its run by a couple they are very sweet and efficient, the meal portions are definitely generous , i frequent this place with my husband and daughter she absolutely loves it
Great place to Eat! Will come again
For 14 years I have been eating here... so good.
Food was great and price even better
It was OK. Wasnt the most flavorable broth. Friendly service. Clean environment. Bathroom was clean. Ordered Salad rolls, spring rolls and pho. Everything was prepared fresh however could use more seasoning. Sorry no pics. Small nice cozy restaurant.
Cozy place
Cute lil place run by a couple, good food and good prices
I order a #3 (Green Onion Cake), and a #20 (rice with pork, shredded pork, shrimp, pork balls, and spring rolls), everytime. Im never disappointed.
Fresh salad rolls, amazing vermicelli and soup. Little run down and dirty, but the great food and service makes up for it. Its my go to place!
This is a small mom and pop shop. We stoped in and at first glace it looks like the seating are could use some love. There are some spots where the paint is missing on the walls. Then we where greeted at seated. The people who helped us where kind. The food was just ok. I have had much better and i have definitely had worse. Definitely will give them a second try.
It was ok.
Love the food. The decor is what it is but dont let that stop you from eating great food. Love this mom and pop shop.
Ive had decent food in the past from here, but the last few times were disappointing. .this time, my boyfriend and I ordered off skip. We got a large pho, and a beef satay soup. The pho had no flavor, little meat, mushy noodles and barely enough broth to fill a small bowl. The beef Satay had no flavor . They also didnt give us rhe bean sprouts or any sauces. The spring rolls we got were soggy and undercooked. Over all disappointing and probably wont be back.
Super small portion!
Bland. Even the tea is bland. Only flavor comes from hot sauce or hoison sauce. Cluttered and unkept as well. Will not be back.
Terribly low quality of food and service. Cheap a dirty, but staff is nice, and to their credit, they try really hard to communicate in English.
Dont do it. Mediocre at best.
Cozy, quaint, lovely staff and really yummy food!
This place is great! Simple and authentic
Although price is cheap but the quality and quantity is so-so. Taste is okay.
Love their Beef-ball and rare beef soup!
Good food, nice and quiet usually. Reasonable prices as well. Its definitely not the cleanest place in the world. I do enjoy their vermicelli bowls, but their pho isnt as good as other places in town. Sometimes its nice to just find a quiet place to eat, and this is usually a good choice for me.
The Pho was very bland. I asked for peanut with it and there might have been 3 peanuts pieces in total. I also asked for hot sauce and hoisin sauce and they MIXED the 2 in the same mini container!!! Dont waste your time or money. Definitely wont be back!
Best Vietnamese food in town, had a hard time not eating it all on the drive home.
Some of the best broth Ive had in the Edmonton area
Portions are tiny . Bland and watered down noodle soups.
Love the food so good
Filthy! From tables and chairs to the walls, grease and grossness everywhere. Very weak vermicelli bowl, basically just meat and noodles, barely any carrots, cucumbers or nuts. Not worth your time.
The best pho in St. Albert, bar none.
Best place to buy pho in all of Edmonton and surrounding area.
Great food at a good price. Been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Staff is friendly, one star off for sometimes a bit slow to come around and take your order (5 min).
Amazing food. A go to comfort food takeout for us.
Have come to this location a few times and left disappointed each and every time. Staff could care less if you are there, I would call them rude but since no one will actually say a word to you is that rude?? Soups are super bland, very cheap with ingredients (i.e few shreds of carrot and cucumbers in a vermicelli bowl). Id suggest going to second bowl in St. Albert if you have a taste for PHO and dont want to go into Edmonton
Went for lunch with a crew of 8. One other occupied table in the restaurant at prime time. Food came out extremely quickly - most of it was obviously pre made or pre prepared. Smallish portions. Coworker had a large chunk of plastic in his 5 color bowl. No drinks other than tea offered. Also worth noting is the bare electrical wiring with no electrical boxes hanging up in the ceiling at the front - pretty bad electrical/fire hazard. Likely wont be back.
This place is dirty and filthy. The food was bland at best and not fresh.
I just ordered take out and there is no food. The lady that took my order didnt even confirm what I was ordering. I am very unhappy with this and I will never be eating at this place again
The place is never open. Never tried it, but been there 3 times, never open on time.
They gave my daughter a dirty water glass. The sprouts for our soup were rotten The toilet was dirty The restaurant smelled delicious but too sketchy.
Small restaurant, but the portion sizes are very generous and prepared fairly well. Good choice for a quick lunch.
poor service, fried rolls where fried all the way through and no moisture left inside. food was way over cooked and the staff where no where to be seen during the sitting. had to go to kitchen twice for service. raised concerns to staff got ok as a response and then they spoke in other language in back room.
The best vietnamese food in St Albert
Worth checking out, the place is showing its age but the food was good.
Very good price point per portion size
Probably the best Pho in the city.
Good Vietnamese food but portions are too small.
The entire family loves this place - even just for a quick snack.
Very delicious Vietnamese food, large selection of items. Eat here, your taste buds will thank you!
